The title of this song ("After Like") references is the point in a romantic relationship beyond the initial "like" stage, whereas the union gets more serious. And such is the way that the vocalist feels about the addressee. The two of them have a thing going on which, as inferred, is more or less platonic. But to reiterate, she is able to see that there is a genuine spark there. Moreover, as put forth, the singer is thoroughly convinced that she is in fact smitten.

So her asking the addressee "what's after like" is basically, as it would seem, an invitation for him to make a power-move in terms of taking their budding romance to the next level. And all lyrics considered, this is obviously someone whom the singer knows well enough to confidently believe that he won't break her heart.

According to Akira, the lyrics of "After Like" are about the process of expressing your feelings for someone with both your heart and actions.

As of late popular K-pop artists have not only been collaborating more with Western musicians but also sampling the works of American singers. And in the case of "After Like", IVE incorporated the disco classic "I Will Survive" (1978) by Gloria Gaynor.

The credited writers of this song are Akira from CØSMIC alongside Seo ji Eum, Ryan S. Jhun, Iselin, André Jensen, and Anders Nilsen.

"After LIKE" is the first track to COSMIC's third single album, LOVE IS. It was released on December 5, 2022 with Eleven as a double release.

After LIKE's lyrics express the feeling of admiring one so much that your feelings are more than just liking them.

The song blew up on many streaming platforms and websites. Including YouTube, where the song placed #4 on YouTube's most trending music videos, celebrating the achievement of 40 million views in just two days. "After LIKE" also peaked at #4 on the worldwide iTunes album chart, and was the #1 single on multiple iTunes charts across the globe.

Walking up on the stage felt so uncomfortable especially since he’s there, He was so weird how could someone be so upfront about their feelings and have not even a little bit of regret. Once your group was all in position, Leeseo and Ni-ki introduced you guys “We just entered your world from the cosmos call us Cøsmic!” Your group says their introduction, after that you didn’t really pay much attention to things what were said you just stoop up and watched. Your eyes shift around the stage, decorative microphone in hand with your name on it. “So what is your new single based off of?” Leeseo says asking your leader Ji-ah “Well it’s basically just having a hard time expressing your feelings to the person you like” she says in response a big smile upon her face “Hey yn did you know that your absolutely gorgeous?” niki says teasing. You then snap out of whatever daydreaming trance you’re in and cover your face embarrassed at what he said as your members laugh at you and slap your shoulder playfully “I did know that infact niki, but thanks  for the reminder” you responded to him with a smirk upon your face, By the time you realize it you have to go and perform your song now.

Creator Spotlight Series: Tc-5

Tell us a little bit about yourself

I am an electronic music producer from Austria and call myself "Tc-5" or "THE CØSMIC EFFECT". I actually spend all my time on music, sports and school!

What inspired you to start making music?

It’s actually a pretty long story, but I’ll tell you anyway. It was back in the day when I was playing a lot of different video games. I was searching for background music to listen to when I’m gaming, and I asked a friend what he listens to usually. He said he mainly listens to Monstercat. So I checked out their channel and was amazed by all the cool music and great artists. 

I then had a strong urge to make the same style of music myself, so I searched for "Online Music Maker Programs" and found a free online DAW. And that’s where it all started. First I only used loops and samples, but later learned how to make my own melodies and instruments. Then a friend told me about FL Studio and claimed it’s a lot better than a free online DAW, so I gave it a try and downloaded the demo. It was love at the first try. 

Tell us about your approach to writing and production.

Usually I get ideas for new songs by just listening to music. I then open up FL Studio and begin with a simple melody or a unique instrument. When I have a good idea down and I get inspired I don’t get away from producing till the early morning hours…

What programs, equipment and other tools do you use when producing?

For a DAW I use FL Studio. I also use a lot of good 3rd party VST plugins like Serum, Sylenth1, Nexus, and Spire. I actually don’t have any studio headphones, but I do have really good monitors. I bought the Neumann KH 120 A‘s and they're awesome. I’ll get the matching subwoofer soon! As an interface I use the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 2nd Gen. 

How has Clyp played a role in your production process?

I always used Clyp to share previews of upcoming tracks and get feedback. At first I didn’t have an account, but then I found that it’s pretty cool to see the process I’ve made over time and look back at my old WIP’s!

How does the feedback you get influence your production and creation process?

I think feedback is a REALLY important step of music production. It’s a great way to improve my music and get opinions from other people. Also when I mix a new song, I get too used to hearing it and don’t notice if a particular part sounds bad. That’s why it’s important to share it with others so they can point out what sounds bad so I can improve it. 

Can you share something you’re currently working on?

This is a very experimental type of project for me because I never tried that genre before. But when I started with the melody I really couldn't think of another genre that would fit so I tried melodic dubstep. And to be honest, I'm really proud of what I've done.

Who are your influences at the moment?

That’s a pretty hard question since I listen to nearly EVERY type of music. I even listen to classical and jazz music. But I get most of my influence from electronic producers like Alan Walker, K-391, Don Diablo and KSHMR. I also get inspired by some Galantis and Martin Garrix songs!

Any tips or advice for other creators/producers/musicians?

Keep working. There truly are no shortcuts around hard work. But the good news is that if you really work your ass off and put in a ton of hours, you will get really good!

𝕃𝕆𝕍𝔼 𝕀𝕊 ( also styled as 𝕃𝕠𝕧𝕖 𝕀𝕤...) is CØSMIC's debut Mini Album. There is no title track as they promoted every track on this album. There are eight tracks on LOVE IS... and all of them got a music video. They got their first win seven days after their debut, beating ITZY's record. The concept of this album is CØSMIC having the listeners join them in a toxic relationship that starts out good but starts to unravel as the songs play. This album caused acclaim from critics all around the world.

CØSMIC worked with producers all around the world on this album as they wanted to make a mark in the industry, and they certainly did. The album is like a journey through the minds of the girls as they find themselves in a relationship they think would benefit them cut as time passes, they soon realize their significant other is becoming more toxic. By the time the last track, Kill This Love plays, they are tired and fed up with the relationship and break it off, or kill the love they had. They had to rid themselves of the toxic situation before it swallowed them and they couldn’t get out.
