Conversation: Possessive vs Jealousy

I don't know how to feel about this but @lyramundana ask about the difference between jealousy and possessiveness has inspired me.

After having that discussion with them, I am so curious to hear everyone's opinion on this question.

If you were given the option of either your partner having issues with being possessive OR being jealous?

hi i'm c!tommy kin here to seek canonmates! specifically sapnap and quackity and sam but also probably other people if you feel like it. i have found dream and he does not know i am doing this and that is funny. also i'm 18 so please be over 15 and under 25

in this tl i broke dream out of prison after wilbur's revival because i felt like no one cared about me and dream sent me letters via enderboo convincing me. me and him then lived in a cabin in the middle of nowhere and uhh it went about as well as you'd expect. occasionally we got visited by sapnap or george and sometimes groups of people (usually led by quackity) would show up trying to separate me from dream or just straight up kill him

tubbo pretty much cut contact with me because being associated with me put his family at risk, quackity was busy with las nevadas, sam was pretty much my adoptive father and i had a room in his base but after what he said after wilbur's revival i stopped talking to him

knowing sam he probably blamed himself for me breaking dream out of prison and then getting stuck in a house with him

sapnap and dream were like in love i think. they definitely fell out around the time of the exile confrontation and sapnap went off with the fiances but he returned to dream eventually presumably because that fell apart. i also hated him like a child hates their new step parent they didn't want, despite sapnap being nothing but kind to me

george never really stopped being dream's friend but also he was evil so that makes sense. he was mean to me and tried to get me in trouble with dream for shits and giggles

sometimes dream took me to go visit the main smp but it was definitely mainly to gloat and make people feel bad about the situation i was now in

quackity was determined to get me away from dream – probably motivated by our previous friendship, experience from being abused by schlatt and knowing how awful it is and/or hating dream and knowing he cared about me in one way or another

also one time a group of people forcibly dragged me away and back to sam's base where i literally tried to kill quackity to escape

i literally have no idea where wilbur was or what was going on i do not remember him it's really strange

everyone definitely had lives outside of this it's just my memory is limited by being stuck in a house in the middle of nowhere so please do fill me in on your lives while i was gone

《 ★ rkohsehun 》 they don’t have many scenes together this time around and part of him is unsure if it’s less in comparison to the others. the question doesn’t last long on his mind, quickly giving way to the thought that he’d rather focus on the right here and now. it might be early in the morning when they get to the bowling alley but they’d already been up for hours. by the time he sat in the makeup chair for his turn, he’d felt fully awake so it’s no surprise that he’s jumping right behind sehun, hands on the younger’s shoulders to try and scare him a little, laughing aloud as he calls out, “ sehun-ah ” rather loudly, the sound nearly echoing in the empty bowling alley. it’s odd to see it so quiet, so void of people and sound while everything is being set up. 

“ do you think they’ll let us get a few frames in just for fun? how’s your bowling now? ” arm thrown over sehun’s shoulder, he stands beside him, tilting his head as he looks up at sehun’s hair. “ aaa, i still can’t believe your hair is so bright. we could already find you easily in a crowd before. now we’ll never lose you for sure, ” he teases. “ have they already told you to touch it up more before promotions? ”

《 ★ rkxroyal 》 there’s something cathartic about fire and it must be why people tend to have bonfires or fire pits, occasions where you throw away something of the past to purge yourself of all emotional attachment, to let go of something, and he wishes this was that kind of moment. it’d be nice if he had some kind of item to toss in, though he wonders about the logistics of how they’re on a rooftop gathered around a fire in a trash bin? what else do you call it... the word escapes him but it’s calming, oddly so. when he reaches woohyun, there’s no trace of playful hands or a joke on the tip of his tongue like usual when he approaches the main vocalist. instead, he’s quiet, lips set in a thin line as he rests his chin against woohyun’s shoulder, gaze still trained on the fire as the staff build it up to the proper height. 

in that moment, he realizes maybe it is symbolic, maybe it does carry meaning today of all days. they’re letting go of something and he realizes that might be what’s got him in a weird mood throughout the day, thinking of how they’re thirteen again but it’s different. a renewed group with strengths and weaknesses just as unique and individualistic as before, but new. they’re meant to rise from the fire again like phoenixes and he knows they will, he feels it, lifting his head from woohyun’s shoulder with a soft grin, hand landing where his chin had been as he lets out a deep breath.

Piracicaba promove atividades e passeios históricos neste final de semana, dias 12 e 13

Neste final de semana, dias 12 e 13 (sábado e domingo), Piracicaba terá várias atividades culturais, incluindo passeios monitorados a lugares históricos do município. Trata-se da segunda edição da Jornada do Patrimônio Cultural, com visitas a prédios tombados, exposições, seminários, além de manifestações populares. Uma excelente oportunidade para quem deseja conhecer mais a história de Piracicaba.

Para participar dos roteiros, é necessário fazer inscrição no << jornadapatrimoniopiracicaba@gmail.com >>, enviando nome completo, roteiro desejado e telefone para contato. A visitação aos patrimônios também poderá ser feita nos dois dias de atividades. A participação é gratuita.

Os roteiros monitorados para a Rua do Porto, Parque do Engenho Central, Centro da cidade, Colônia Tirolesa, Cemitério da Saudade, Monte Alegre, Esalq e Rota Negra necessitam de inscrição prévia. Já para as rotas tirolesas e Monte Alegre, serão disponibilizadas duas vans para o transporte. O local de partida será em frente ao Aquário Municipal.

Além dos roteiros, a população também poderá visitar espaços tombados, como a Casa do Povoador, Casarão do Turismo, Catedral Metodista, Museu da Água, Clube Coronel Barbosa, Teatro São José, Aquário Municipal, Estação da Paulista, Catedral de Santo Antonio, Capela São Pedro, Museu Prudente de Moraes, Pinacoteca Municipal Miguel Archanjo Dutra, Santa Casa de Misericórdia, Teatro Erotides de Campos, Sociedade Sírio-Libanesa, Escola Marques Monte Alegre, Sociedade Italiana e imóveis particulares e públicos, tombados.

Os passeios monitorados serão auxiliados por voluntários ��� estudantes do curso de História, da Unimep (Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba) e do curso de Guia de Turismo do Senac –, que acompanharão os participantes, destacando os aspectos particulares de cada bem cultural. Os pontos serão sinalizados com banners e placas do evento.

Orientações para os roteiros:

Quem precisar da Van como meio de transporte, deve informar no ato da inscrição, através do e-mail.

As vagas para os roteiros são limitadas e a adesão será feita por ordem de chegada dos e-mails.

Havendo falta no momento do embarque com a Van, poderá ser feito encaixe com os presentes no local.

Recomenda-se o uso de roupas confortáveis, protetor solar e boné.

So about nothing catastrophic happening before the safety meeting. It didn't take long for something to go wrong afterwards, and I was the person involved. Hooray! Thankfully there were no injuries and my vehicle ultimately only incurred some relatively minor cosmetic damage and remains fully functional. I think the same can be said for the other vehicle too, but silly me not doing nearly enough to directly confirm it. Otherwise it was surprisingly brief in how it all was resolved. Despite all of that I did manage to give myself some kind of pain in relation to that incident regardless. There's a stair which goes over part of the fuel tank, and it's missing now. The first time down I had my left arm holding the guard rail as usual and stayed attached to it a bit too long than I really should have, and I think that stretched something out. For some reason it is a bit more sore today than yesterday. I have to specifically tell myself that the stair is missing every time I get out now. Every time. Habits formed over several years die hard, personal health be damned. Meanwhile, an interview looms on the horizon. And that's all I have time to talk about today. Orientation                                                              

Building a passive home relies on good orientation of either your home, your land or both.  Get the right orientation and you may be able to eliminate the use of powered heating or cooling methods.  Orientation is discussed in terms of how you make use of accessing climatic conditions such as the sun and the wind. You must also take into account external factors such as existing buildings or plantations to get the best results.  It is important to note that your regional climate will be the deciding factor in your ideal orientation.  Predominantly, my discussion relates to most Australian climates (excluding hot tropical) and is specifically related to our Goulburn Valley region in Victoria.

Knowing your climate Zone

Knowing whether you are in a climatic area that requires more heating or more cooling is important.  As well as finding out the actual climatic zone you are situated in, you can analyse your own current energy bills to see whether you rely more on heating or cooling energy. Once you know whether you are looking to make the best use of natural heating or natural cooling, you can start to plan your new home design. Land orientation

Ideally, an energy efficient or passive design home starts with good land orientation.  If you know the type of home design you prefer, you can choose your land to suit.  The ideal land orientation will give you a large Northerly aspect so that you can maximise passive heating in your main living areas.  This should also allow a good quantity of roof space for solar PV panels should you wish to install these.  The best land orientation for this scenario would most likely be a block which runs East/West. See diagram from “Your Home” Australian government website (Source: AMCORD). When selecting your land, you should also pay attention to any existing factors such as other buildings or trees for example which may be a hindrance to your design.  You want to make sure your good Northerly aspect is not shielded by existing factors.

Home Orientation

To design an energy efficient passive home you must ensure your home faces in the correct direction to take advantage of the natural climate.  The best orientation will allow the day time living areas of your home to be facing North (in most Australian climates), allowing good solar access to windows, thus enabling natural heating of your home.  It is often best to build on the South boundary to ensure maximum Northerly exposure.  In addition, you should avoid exposure of the home to the West as this will generate unwanted heat during the Summer months. Perhaps consider positioning your garage on this side of your home or using a plantation of trees to assist with shading this side of the home. Your orientation should also consider the general direction of local winds as you need to be able to take advantage of cooling breezes during the summer months. Make sure you know which direction your evening wind tends to come from and ensure you design the home to use good cross flow ventilation. This is often achieved by ensuring your South facing windows are opened during the evening and can be enhanced with the Northerly or upper windows being open as well to allow the heat to escape.  A home can be amazingly comfortable during both Summer and Winter when the correct principles of home orientation are applied and utilized. Ideal home orientation is shown in the diagram for this blog, from “Your Home” Australian government website (Source: SEAV).  In this diagram you can see good access for the solar PV panels, large North facing windows to heat the home during Winter and no windows on the West side of the home, which will counteract the Summer heat from penetrating the home.  At Solar City Eco Homes we have a unique design for the West facing wall to minimise heat transferring into your home.

Phase 2 Study of Radiation Therapy Plus Low Dose Temozolomide Followed by Temozolomide and Irinotecan for Glioblastoma: NRG Oncology RTOG Trial 0420

Abstract

Purpose

Evaluate the toxicity and efficacy of adjuvant temozolomide (TMZ) and irinotecan (CPT-11) for 12 months following concurrent chemo-radiation in newly diagnosed glioblastoma (GBM).

Methods

Trial XXXX, a single arm, multi-institutional phase 2 trial was designed to determine the efficacy and toxicity of concomitant TMZ and radiation (RT) followed by adjuvant TMZ combined with CPT-11 given for 12 cycles compared to historical controls of adjuvant TMZ alone given for 6 cycles.

Results

A total of 170 patients were enrolled, of which 152 were eligible. Adjuvant CPT-11 combined with TMZ was more toxic than expected. A higher rate of hematologic and gastrointestinal toxicities was most frequently noted with the combination regimen compared to adjuvant TMZ alone. Grade 3/4 hematologic toxicity was 38% compared to 14% reported in the Stupp trial. Following an early interim analysis, adjuvant CPT-11 dose was reduced to100 mg/m2 D1 and D15 for the first cycle. CPT-11 dose escalation proceeded over first 3 cycles if tolerated. Median overall survival (OS) for all eligible patients was 16.9 months compared to 13.7 months of the historical control (p=0.03). Post-hoc subgroup analysis suggested an improvement in OS for patients with RTOG recursive partitioning analysis (RPA) Class III although limited to 22 patients (14% of eligible patients).

Conclusions

Although Irinotecan and TMZ for 12 cycles given after chemoradiation for patients with newly diagnosed GBM significantly improved median survival compared to historical control data at the time the study was conducted, the historical control median survival time of 13.7 months does not represent the current benchmark for this patient population. Treatment intensification does prolong overall survival compared to the current standard.
