“a stupid decision, really.” erik replied with a snarky grin. he really didn’t think himself a logical candidate for being responsible with someone’s life, but that was her problem he supposed. in any matter, he didn’t hate the other as much as he hated most people. “tell me, why in the world do you spend so much time in this abandoned opera talking to me when there is a whole world much more exciting out there?” he asked curiously, fixing the stage lights as he conversed.

"I never said I was smart." She teases with a grin. "No, I know that I'm rather intelligent, however, it isn't a stupid decision to trust you." Hope says as she sighs and looks around for a moment. "Believe me, I would spend more of my time on the Jolly Roger than anywhere else, but that beauty isn't here and I'm far too inquisitive for my own good so here I am."

Getting her memories back had been traumatizing for the brunette, something she wasn't sure if other people were experiencing, but if they were, then there was a small comfort in knowing that she wasn't alone. Though most people would seek out their family, she had no high hopes of her parents being here, and friends wise, she often preferred the company of animals, so as she made her way down to the park, she sat on a bench and watched the birds fly around, taking a moment to call out to them as a couple flew over to her and perched themselves on the top of the bench. "Hello, beautiful." She whispers, using a finger to gently pet the bird's back, but the bird startles and flies away as Nina hears footsteps, quickly turning back and freezing up at the familiar face. "...Baba?" She says, a hand instinctively reaching up to the locket around her neck, where the photo of his parents are.

Well, it isn’t exactly the 25th where I am right now but we can ignore that 😅😅, hope everyone is doing well!!!

I have decided to make Christine a Great One in my POTO Bloodborne AU! I thought of some fun ways to parallel some bits of POTO to a Bloodborne setting! LORE BELOW :)

POTO: Erik haunts the basement of the Palais Garnier (there are strange creatures there) BB AU: Erik haunts the old Pthumerian catacombs (there are strange creatures there)

POTO: Erik keeps a wedding dress mannequin BB AU: Erik keeps the company of a “Christine” mannequin that’s alive (more on that below)

POTO: Erik gives Christine his ring BB AU: Erik gives Christine the Ring of Betrothal 

POTO: Erik thinks of Christine as his angel  BB AU: Christine is an actual out of this world eldritch god :)

POTO: Erik wants to keep Christine forever in the house by the lake  BB AU: Erik wants to prevent Christine from ascending by hoping to keep her in the catacombs (he does not succeed)

POTO: Erik thinks of Christine as his salvation  BB AU: Erik thinks of Christine as his salvation

As for the Mannequin, it is a gift from Christine to Erik (like the Moon Presence granting Gehrman the Doll). The Mannequin is in Christine’s image, or how she would appear if she were human. (Think of it as Christine’s human self-insert lmao 😭)

Christine, benevolent in the way Great Ones are - lacking any actual understandings of human wants - believes this will appease Erik if she gifted him with a “living bride” (<- as said in POTO). This however, only upsets him further. But he does keep the Mannequin in his company and treats her somewhat well, albeit very coldly, thinking her to be his responsibility now. She is his “wife” (since Erik would honour Christine’s ‘gift’) but they are purely platonic. <- there are some vague angst relating to their dynamic: 

Original BB: The Doll is made to love the Hunters in her care POTO BB AU: The Mannequin is made to love Erik

Inspired by the extremely heartbreaking dialogue with the Doll in BB: “Would you ever think to love me? Of course… I do love you. Isn’t that how you’ve made me?” (Though I do interpret this ‘love’ in BB as neither romantic or platonic but a secret third thing, anyways.)

All in all, I don’t really intend for this AU to be dark, but it IS a POTO X BB crossover so I’ve kept some elements of horror/creepiness/general melancholy from the source materials! :) Yippee! Thank you for reading through this long post!
