Nascida em Nova Iorque, em 1999, Agnes foi retirada do seu lar no bairro de Washington Heights (um bairro majoritariamente latino) por por um oficial americano responsável pela implementação do projeto Montauk, onde experimentos científicos eram feitos com pessoas.

Embora as teorias da conspiração tratem de questões interessantes como viagens no tempo e telecinese, havia um dos andares subterrâneos da grande base militar de Montauk que abrigava experimentações com mutantes e humanos que apresentavam potencial para destruição. Acreditava-se que o projeto havia sido destituído com o fim da guerra fria, entretanto, algumas células independentes e confidenciais mantinham experimentos em áreas militares pelo país.

Após um experimento com um mutante ter dado errado, um incêndio tomou conta da base e, na correria, algumas cobaias humanas conseguiram escapar para a cidade de Nova Iorque - Phobos estava entre eles. Com seus quinze anos na época e pouquíssima noção do mundo exterior, Agnes cometeu alguns crimes para conseguir se manter, assaltando pedestres e roubando alimentos até que conseguisse um emprego fixo. Após aterrorizar o antigo gerente de uma loja de revistas em quadrinhos até levá-lo a loucura, ela ocupou o lugar deste, onde trabalhou por alguns anos até seu caminho cruzar com um novo grupo de mutantes - estes, parte do Instituto Cinzano, em uma missão na América. Com alguma relutância, aceitou acompanhá-los para a Suiça, com a promessa de que aprenderia a controlar seus poderes.

Moon of the Day

Deimos, a moon of Mars.

Deimos is possibly the smallest moon in our solar system with it’s 9 by 7 by 6.8 miles in size (15 by 12 by 11 kilometers). It was discovered by Asaph Hall and is one of two moons of Mars, both of which are very small.

The origin of this moon is uncertain, but there are multiple theories. The first one you might think of is that Deimos is a captured asteroid since it contains elements of a C-type class (mostly carbon based materials). There are other ones like the potential that this moon and its twin, Phobos, came from Mars in a collision, much like the leading theory for how our own moon was formed. Another theory is that Phobos and Deimos were originally one moon before being split into two. Unfortunately, none of these theories are fully sound and would need more research to determine whether or not any might be true.

I really liked Phobos and Deimos before doing this research since the idea of Mars having moons, especially ones so small is pretty funny to me, I was kind of surprised to learn that there wasn’t a proper theory for how either of them came to be.

AWOL CONFESSIONS INTRODUCTION

Greetings and salutations! This post will be an introduction to the outsiders coming across this blog rather than the people already included in our lil' group.

We'll start with some questions! Likely the biggest one; what is AWOL?

AWOL is an AU of the traffic series / life series! It's an adaptation in which every character is a different version from themselves in a different season; for example, TL and DL Cleo are two very different people. If you don't get it, don't worry, it'll end up being quite easy to follow! (And you're always welcome to ask any questions that come!) It's is a private roleplay that primarily takes place in our discord server, but we've taken some creative liberties to make it more fun and engaging for the people taking place in it. For example: giving our characters canon access to Tumblr! Which can only end so well, really. Alas!

Does this have anything to do with the content creators of Hermitcraft / The Life Series? It does not! AWOL is an independent creation and it wouldn't be the same without all of us working together to create something special and individual. It's a collection of artists, writers, and amazingly talented people coming together to spin so many wonderful stories of their own.

Mercury has no idea how to play Asteroid Dodgeball because he never had a chance to, or well he did, except he wasn't a willing contestant and Venus just liked chucking rocks at the poor fella.

(more of a personal theory of mine) Before Neptune went crazy, he probably followed their orbit out of malicious compliance after Uranus scolded him for being out of their orbit again. In a way, Uranus directly blames himself for Neptune going crazy, but Neptune doesn't really remember Uranus ever doing him such wrong! Sometimes...he's working on it!

havent started is a fun caveat. okay i have thoughts about how the match vs eutrope would go bc at a moment where he has little faith in himself, tart is faced w an absolutely lethal threat. what has rly compelled me abt tarts time in bozja is it asks him "are you the warrior of light who can lead your army to victory?" and then m4 presents a complimentary question "are you the warrior of light who can battle primals and gods and survive that ordeal?". i have an idea about the beginning but nothing afterwards so i havent started on it at all. probably need to watch more m4s clears (or maybe... prog it even ;]c a man can dream)

oh shb bad end au of course but fuck i cant get into it rn its got such a canon divergent premise. a less divergent one though is that emets shenanigans actually got azem to wake up in tarts place after she was brought back from mt gulg. phobos was a kind soul who came to understand the sundered and opposed hades vehemently despite their shared history. they took hades down and then passed on so that their shard could have her body back. a happy ending! except for tart, bc as far as shes aware she fucked up and doomed the world and was only allowed to stick around w the scions now bc someone else wearing her face had fixed everything. but it wasnt her. she could never be that person. and so she never ever ever ever felt secure in herself or any of her relationships again!!

i think maybe for canon tart, blowing up at estinien after in from the cold miiight be a bit out of left field? but i keep that incident bc i like how it develops their relationship. in this au though it is not remotely out of left field lmao of course tart would get so madly insecure and terrified that she goes berserk. zenos bodystealing would be a mindbreak and a half. i dont think she makes it out of endwalker unfortunately

Phobos is one of the more troubling students at Night Raven College. He and his "cousin" continue to cause a ruckus, scare first years and ever since they've shown up an influx of scams have arrived alongside them. Despite this, neither of the two can get into trouble. I inquire you to read further for an explanation.

Personality:

Phobos is a very abrasive person. He's loud, brash and seems to enjoy terrorising first years and students they're not scared off. They do, however, walk the fine line of being cocky and being a coward. He runs at any sign of danger and sometimes he even hides behind Idia. Speaking of Idia, Phobos and Pavor seem to view him as above them and someone to listen too. They both seem afraid of repercussions if they go against him but have no issue talking back to teachers.

Behind his bravado Phobos seems rather insecure and quiet. He seems to live in a world of denial and is quick to use it if he feels like things are going wrong. They'd rather have others believe they mess up on purpose then let them find out he can be wrong. He's also very stingy with money, likely a result of their childhood. They won't tolerate any rumours being spread about him and deals with them as quick as possible.

If left to his own devices Phobos surprisingly enough, will try to do homework first and then tune in on more interesting things like watching a race. Occasionally he'll do both at the same time. He never asks for help or takes deals unless they're the one making them. Despite this, Phobos is drawn to darker more scary things in life, he's often seen taking naps near cursed objects.

Appearance:

Phobos has dark, kind of dusty magenta coloured hair with even darker horns. His hair reaches his chin and he always looks like he just brushes it out of his face and lets the wind do the rest. His eyes are yellow, which contrasts with the dark purple eyeshadow he wears. He also has sharp teeth.

His skin is slightly tan from the sun but compared to most people in Ignihyde he looks like he's been sunburnt. He's chubbier then his counterpart, he also has more scars though they're not very visible under his clothes. Scratches on his legs and elbows, nicks on his hands, some mildly concerning scars on his back. They're all old. The only really visible scar is on his tail, right before the fork there's a scar that he wears with pride. They won't tell you where it's from but it sure has their ego boosting.

Keep in mind:

Unique Magic: We are [blank]. Phobos Unique Magic is simple, but powerful. He can transform into near any living creature, provided he has seen it before. As well as other people, though this takes more energy and blot and is harder to do. However, he and Pavor have found a loophole and will often combine their UM's to disguise Phobos more effortlessly.

○ Phobos is dyslexic and near sighted but seems unaware of this fact

○ Phobos is autistic and has anger issues

○ Phobos has a tendency to mess up in classes on purpose. It is to be noted that some of these purposeful screw ups might not be on purpose but rather that they are embarrassed about failure and lack of knowledge.

Family:

Unknown parents, they grew up in Philocletes Grove Orphanage in The Kingdom of Heroes before running away. Records describe him as unsociable, hard to work with and lacking friends.

Pavor: Despite the two not being related in any way, the boys have taken a liking to each other and proudly display their familial relationship for everyone to hear. Apparently, saying they were brothers was too far-fetched, so they went with cousins. They can be antagonistic to eschother, egging each other on or selling the other out when they get caught, but Phobos is wildly protective of Pavor and always quick to shut down the others panicked train of thoughts.

Backstory:

Phobos is a street rat orphan. He and Pavor met in an orphanage, which they both ran away from. So far, the reasoning is unknown, but we can assume it has to do with the horns. Both boys took to trickery and thievery to stay alive and seem to hide behind the most powerful person they deem "safe." STYX sponsors the boys, as long as they keep an eye on the blot culmination that seems almost abnormally high around this school. In other words, the boys are financially dependent on STYX. Their stay at the school is a bribe, and it is important to note that Housewarden Shroud is kept unaware. STYX has noted that both Pavor and Phobos are code names but the boys were more then happy to give up their old ones.

Extra:

○ Phobos really likes watching any type of racing

○ They're rather insecure about how they can't seem to look "fancy" no matter how hard he tries so he forgoes collared shirts for hoodies

○ They're Bisexual, not that dating is in any way on his mind right now

○ Phobos takes a lot of odd jobs and is the main source of scams created by him and Pavor, despite the money and funding given by STYX neither boy trusts it and they seem to believe that the moment they leave NRC they'll be back on the streets with nothing.
