Menoetius was born the second oldest son to Iapetus and Clymene. The Titan of Rash Action and Violent Rage, he was and still is widely known for his unpredictability and mood swings. Life in their household was chaotic at best with the daring Atlas, the rash Menoetius, and the future trickster Prometheus - but he wouldn’t have had it any other way. (Epimetheus was a bit more calm and someone he more often was prone to protecting than antagonizing, not that he would admit that.)
Loyal to a fault, when his father and his older brother took Cronus’ side during the Titanomachy, he followed suit. What he did not see coming was the betrayals of his younger twin brothers and his mother defecting to the Gods’ side. (Conveniently, he forgets that Prometheus tried to get him, Atlas, and their father to join him.)
As they did not heed Prometheus’ warning to use Guile, the Titans lost and Menoetius was struck down by Zeus into Tartarus. He did not even imagine being able to get free, but he pulled it off with time and patience.
Angry and hurt, he is hiding out on the Earth while contemplating what to do with his time now. While he still holds a grudge against his brothers, he is unable to remain upset at his mother - and even the grudge against his brothers could ultimately be dealt with if they had a proper talk about everything.
