Jenny/Maxine — Fixit
Maybe it's just me, but I thought Maxine's heel turn was pretty forced and not that convincing. I can't help thinking the show's writers felt like they had too many abusive men in their plots, and decided to show an abusive woman for balance.
So what if Maxine was exactly what she seemed at first and she and Jenny worked out? Niko doesn't lose faith in love and gets MORE into matchmaking, Maxine goes with Jenny to the roller rink, how does it change things? Or just their cute developing relationship in the background of the unchanged episodes, whichever!

"Want to decorate some cupcakes with me?" Lyra offered warmly. "I'm probably going to end up eating more than what ends up on my actual cupcake, but it looks like good fun," she added with a laugh.

When she’d made plans to meet up with Sam after his shift she realized she hadn’t asked him exactly where he wanted her to wait for him. Rosa had texted him but figured she wouldn’t get a response until he clocked out or had a moment to spare so she wandered the halls trying to find signs towards the pediatric ward she knew he worked at. “Hi, excuse me– can you help me? I’m not prone to getting lost usually but all the hallways here look the same,” she asked a passing healer with a sheepish laugh.

Leon didn't really like asking for help. He had done so much by and for himself, he didn't like depending on others. But this he didn't think he could do alone. "Max," He said, glancing back at the balcony, "Can I can ask your help with something? I think... I think my dad is here?"

"Need a hand with anything?" Lucy asked coming up to the fellow healer. "It's a big of a slow day for me and I don't want to take an early break yet," she confessed.

His own action done more out of simple boredom, curiosity even, than anything else, after all it seemed as if lately the survivors weren't putting much effort and that left quite the sour taste in the mouth of the person who thrived on the thrill of the hunts. However what he did not expect was her response to it.
It wasn't the question that caught him by surprise, it was the way that she just went and poked the forehead of his ghastly mask, leaving the killer staring at her for a beat longer, despite the hint of amusement reflected in hazel hues hidden behind the eerie and hollow sockets of the mask. " You. . . " A pause, a tilt of his head, he was considering his next words. " You are being serious aren't you ? " Well, at least he couldn't say this one was quite the bold one.
" I could gut you, right here right now. . . and you are offering to give me skateboard lessons ? "

@disposablelover : ' is there a reasons you’re here on your own ? '
— He’s always alone . Even when he’s in a roomful of people , he’s alone . Even at home sitting on the sofa right next to his mother , he’s alone . People don’t acknowledge him until they feel as if he’s a problem . So it comes to Arthur as a surprise that this stranger approached him . How does he answer ? Because people choose not to notice him ? That he’s alone because society has abandoned him ? He digresses . Hawk like eyes examine her with certain caution ; if only she knew that it was only a few weeks ago he was kicked down in an alleyway and beaten up by a group of children simply because they thought he was a bad clown .
— “ I don’t know , I just ... ” he’s torn between brutal honesty and a fib , though he decides to be partially honest with her but evades the point of the question entirely . “ I always come here . Every Friday . ” he says . Pogo’s comedy club was his favorite place to go . He sits in the same seat every week , journal splayed out next to a glass of bourbon he never actually drinks . ( He orders it because he sees the other guy’s ordering it too and he seeks to fit in . ) Arthur takes notes at what other people seem to find funny and forces out an unnatural laugh along with the crowd . Odd stares are shot towards him often times when he laughs out of sync . “ Are ... you here alone too ? ” And no one ever picks the seat at the table with him — they’d even stand at the back of the club rather than finding themself sitting next to Arthur . But here she is ; speaking with him shortly after filling the usually empty seat and Arthur is still trying to wrap his head around this blip in the matrix .

connection: brett walks in on his step-sister maxine filming for of
he's in town visiting his mother, and to his dismay she demands he stay with his step-sister. something about not having enough room at her house, that maxine has an extra room, and that despite the two never really getting along as teens his mom still has this idea that they could be best friends.
brett is annoyed by the whole thing, but also is intrigued by maxine in her element. she's certainly hot (always has been) and he's caught her a few times in the kitchen in just a t-shirt and underwear before she grumbles about having a guest and leaves.
walking into the apartment he pauses at the entry to the guest room. there are noises coming from maxine's room and he can't help smirk. her one chance to have a 'friend' over when he was out and he was here to ruin it all. thinking it'd be funny he walks to her room, surprised to see it cracked and peeps in. there's no one else to be found, instead maxine is spread for a camera set-up in the corner, fingers toying with her pussy as she moans - that fake porn star sorta moan. not what he was expecting. instead of turning away in shame to be interrupting an intimate moment, his foot softly kicks the door open more as he leans against the frame, arms crossed watching until she took care to notice.
