starter for: @lucydriscoll / location: AB library
The days where Peyton could go to the library on his days off were the better days. He could pop in his earbuds and focus on what he was working on. Though he had texted Lucy asking if she'd be in, but he hadn't looked at his phone since then that he didn't know if she had responded. However, it was as though he knew she'd be there. Not that he kept tabs on her or anyone who entered the library, but he did notice peoples schedules if they came in often.
"Hey," He took a seat across from her, "Please tell me that you're struggling with this assignment as much as I am." If she wasn't then he'd feel dumb, but something was not clicking for him. It might be the fact that it was near finals so his mind wasn't working at its full capacity with the incoming stress.

where: Lucy's home
"I brought cookies, the best Christmas movies I could find, fuzzy blankets, and wine. I think we're all set for the night unless we want to order take-out as well." Noelle was unloading her bag that she brought along with her as she spoke. She loved getting to spend time with her daughter, especially around the holidays. And even though Lucy was an adult now, Noelle wasn't going to stop trying to make the best memories for the holidays.

closed starter for: @lucydriscoll / aurora bay library / just being his annoying self when he sees someone he knows
One of the new languages Jackson had found himself learning was Czech. It was fun and he needed to read more books in the language to understand it more and he was happy that Aurora Bay's library had a wide selection of books when it came to other languages. He was on his way to the aisle when he spotted a familiar face inside. "If it isn't the wannabe Levin." Jackson teased as he approached the blonde who happened to be related to the sisters. Lucy wasn't someone he saw much of or spoke to, but she was around. She existed. And though he had nothing against her, he just liked fucking with people and she was an easy target. "How's life going?" He asked taking note that she was now older than when he last saw her.

"Well, actually, I was thinking... maaaayybee I would adopt my own cat and you can still get one yourself! I found this adorable grey kitten on the shelter's website. I was thinking about naming her Darla. Isn't that cute? I love when animals have human names, it's so funny and adorable."
@lucydriscoll
lucy was excited to adopt the new kitty, but something told her noelle was just that extra joyful about bringing home a new fur baby. some part of her worried that her mother would get attached to the little one so much that when it was time for lucy to take ownership, she might struggle to let go. but they'd cross that bridge when they came to it. "yeah? what did you pick?" she hops across the hallway to her mother, trying to tie up her loose laces. "i'm ready!"

"Maybe she just realized how good she had it inside." Lara said laughing lightly. "She enjoyed being pampered by her human and when she was outside she realized this was not it." Of course she didn't know what the cat saw to spook her but she just assumed that much.
"My cat got outside once, spent less than two minutes padding around the garden before she decided to run back inside and never venture out again." Lucy rolls back onto her heels, then up onto her toes. "No idea what she saw, but it was enough for her to absolutely nope out."

Lucy's energy reminded Nikki of Noelle; and she loved the woman. It was only natural Luce would be an absolute sweetheart. Accepting her own stick of fluffy sugary heaven Nikki grinned "I can live off of this, I mean it." she nodded pulling on a piece to try too. "Oh, sweet and sour to balance it out. I love how your mind works. This means we can have more!" she said the last part as if they were conspiring. Well..they were kind of setting themselves up for a sugar coma later but she had a feeling neither of them really minded. || @lucydriscoll
"I'm such a sweet tooth. It doesn't help that it very much runs in my family." The blonde pinches out a piece of cotton candy, before popping it into her mouth, "We should get something to drink too. Maybe lemonade?"

Oh, George Orwell. He could understand that sentiment although Orwell made him feel like he could understand the human mind which was depressing if he thought about it hard enough. “You have to admit though, animals are much more vicious than humans.” He quite like the metaphor because as much as it was a metaphor - animals were naturally wild. "But I get it. Maybe you need to read something else for now." He suggested, "Give yourself a break from the depression." @lucydriscoll
it takes a moment for lucy to pull her attention away from her scribbled notes in her book, you could tell whether she was enjoying a subject of note by the way she displayed her notes. "a little. anything by george orwell makes me depressed to read." she slides her copy of animal farm aside with her index and middle finger, before reaching out to her water bottle. "like, yeah, the world sucks. also, he doesn't need to drag animals into his metaphor of human behaviour."

Waiting for her own stick of cotton candy, pointedly requested in pink, Nikki grinned at Lucy. "This is the best thing ever!" she exclaimed looking at the size of it; and Lucy's excitement made it better too. "You know what, I'm glad we came here, you were right; we needed the sugar boost." || @lucydriscoll
Who: @ambivalenceshefelt Where: Cotton Candy stall
"It's almost as big as my head." A gleeful Lucy holds up the stick with the fair ground treat, the blue cloud of sugary floss gleaming in the sun. The blonde loved every time the town held an event, whilst also appreciating the silence of the hamlet-like place outside of event seasons.

"Yes, I believe I have some left.” Lara nodded her head as she reached for a cup and started gathering items. “I love when I see cats on leashes. It’s adorable but it’s always interesting to see since it’s not very common. Which is tragic since I’m sure cats would love to be outside as well…besides running away part anyways.” She blabbered on before adding, “I thought about training the cats with a harness in case of that but some of them don’t like it.”
A hint of relief settles on Lucy's lips, leaning forward to rest her arms on the countertop. "An espresso — oh! — and a biscotti, if you have any." Raising up and down on her toes, before turning her attention in search of the resident kitties. "This place makes me miss my baby ragdoll. I've honestly considered being one of those people who train their cats to use leashes."

"Oh no, you're not interrupting anything. More like saving me." Lara said chuckling as she quickly placed the items down onto the counter and got the iPad ready to take her order. "So, what would you like to order first?" @lucydriscoll
"I know the feeling. well" Lucy smiles, standing from across the counter with her arms wrapping around a stack of books close to her chest. "I just wanted to order a coffee. But if you're busy there I can sit and read for a bit—" she motions with a pointed index finger up towards the shelf "—I didn't mean to interrupt."
