COWBOYS MOCK DRAFT Simulating the right fit Plenty of new faces enter to replace all the talent lost to free agency It’s draft season and time for our traditional NFL draft seven-round simulation, making every pick for the Cowboys. This year, we used Pro Football Network’s draft simulator and there were some trades and interesting decisions in our mock. We used PFN’s draft board and picked players atop their ranking when it came time to select for the Cowboys. Let’s go: First round The pick: Graham Barton, C, Duke The Cowboys have the 24th pick of the first round and were offered a trade by the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona wanted to move up from No. 27 to No. 24 and also offered a 2025 second-round pick. So we took it. The Cardinals used it to pick cornerback Nate Wiggins from Clemson. So when the Cowboys came to bat we selected Barton. We bypassed Texas defensive tackle Byron Murphy II — we believe in Mazi Smith — Texas receiver Adonai Mitchell and Oklahoma tackle Tyler Guyton. Barton played tackle in college but he projects as a center/guard. Does Barton solve the center position? Yes, he does. But does that mean Tyler Smith moves to left tackle for the 2024 season with this selection? Second round The pick: Edgerrin Cooper, LB, Texas A&M We were offered trades by Denver and Cleveland to move down in this round. We rejected both. Cooperwas on our draft card when we picked with No. 56. We bypassed Florida State running back Trey Benson, who was available along with defensive tackles Ruke Orhorhoro (Clemson) and Leonard Taylor III (Miami). It’s hard to pass up Benson and his 906 rushing yards. We felt adding a linebacker was more important. Third round The pick: Devontez Walker, WR, North Carolina No trade offers this time. When Dallas was up at No. 87, Walker was our selection. He is a man with speed. He ran a 4.36 40 at the combine and had a 40 1/2 inch vertical jump. His 2022 season (921 receiving yards, 11 touchdowns) was much better than last year (699 receiving yards and seven touchdowns) but we believe in the Tar Heel. We bypassed Georgia safety Javon Bullard, Mississippi corner Kris Abrams-Draine and Texas tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders. Fourth round The pick: None The Cowboys don’t have a pick in this round but we tried to get back into it. We offered Baltimore our fifth-round pick in 2024 and 2025 to move to No. 113 and were laughed at. So we offered Carolina a fifth and seventh (No. 244) for their pick (No. 141) and that also was rejected. Fifth round The pick: Isaac Guerendo, RB, Louisville No more trades for us and at No. 174 Guerendo was our selection. He didn’t play much at Wisconsin and had a Lisfranc injury in 2021 but returned to play the next two seasons. We had a chance to draft defensive tackle Justin Eboigbe (Alabama), guard Javion Cohen (Miami) and safety Evan Williams (Oregon). If you’re worried about Guerendo, he ran a 4.33 40, produced a 41 1/2 vertical and a 10-9 broad jump at the combine. Health doesn’t seem to be an issue with him. Sixth round The pick: Jowan Briggs, DT, Cincinnati At No. 216 we had some good options but took Cincinnati defensive tackle Jowan Briggs. We thought about Notre Dame safety Thomas Harper and tight end AJ Banner from Michigan. We also had NC State guard Dylan McMahon available. Briggs just seemed right. You want to talk about a man with power, he bench-pressed 225 pounds 39 times at the Big 12 pro day. Seventh round The picks: Drake Nugent, C, Michigan and Josh DeBerry, CB, Texas A&M Again no desire to trade with anyone here so at No. 233 we snagged Nugent. You can’t go wrong with a guy named Drake, right? Nugent is a little short (6-1, 298 pounds) but his dad played for two NFL teams, so you’ve got to like that. The other seventh-round pick was DeBerry, who picked off two passes in 10 games for the Aggies. Among the players we bypassed for Nugent and DeBerry were tight end McCallan Castles (Tennessee), receiver Ryan Flournoy (Southeast Missouri State), Georgia running back Daijun Edwards and UConn linebacker Jackson Mitchell.

Book List 2018
I’m a couple weeks behind on this, but here’s the list of books I read in 2018. I’ve broken it down by category, though this is pretty loose since, you know, genres bleed into one another and such. You can also find reviews of some of these books here, and I always take requests for reviews as well. Follow me on Goodreads to see what I’m reading and rating.
Let me know what you think if you’ve read any of these books or have recommendations, and, as always, please feel free to send me malicious personal attacks if I say something you disagree with.

Worst of 2018
Every single book I read this past year had redemptive value. Even if it was total garbage, it still taught me some stuff (like how not to write a book). Even a bad book can be a good book if you let it be.
So, here’re a few books that didn’t quite hit the spot for me:
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
Ishmael: An Adventure of the Mind and Spirit by Daniel Quinn
Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee
Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife by Mary Roach
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
Ink Spots by Brian McDonald
The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America by Erik Larson
Best of 2018
It was genuinely difficult to choose my top books of 2018. What a literary year it has been for me. 2018 marks the most books I’ve read in a year, and I was lucky enough to come across some real game-changers. I finally read the Harry Potter series and, boy howdy, did it ever live up to the hype. What took me so long?? But this was, more than anything, the year of James Baldwin. He has made an indelible mark on me as a reader, a writer, and a human. What a year this has been! I hope to read a fraction as much beautiful, lovely, challenging, profound prose in 2019.
In no particular order, here are the books of 2018 that most moved me, shook me, rattled me, rolled me:
Behave: The Biology of Humans at Our Best and Worst by Robert Sapolsky
Teaching to Transgress: Education as the Practice of Freedom by bell hooks
The Pragmatic Turn by Richard J. Bernstein
Pragmatism and Feminism: Reweaving the Social Fabric by Charlene Haddock Seigfried
The Ethics of Ambiguity by Simone de Beauvoir
What Is Real?: The Unfinished Quest for the Meaning of Quantum Physics by Adam Becker
Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space by Carl Sagan
The Soul of the Night: An Astronomical Pilgrimage by Chet Raymo
The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin
Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson
Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body by Roxane Gay
Well, there you have it, folks. Here’s to many more good books in the years to come!
The unread story is not a story; it is little black marks on wood pulp. The reader, reading it, makes it live: a live thing, a story. —Ursula K. Le Guin

Mutual Pining Masterlist
Andreil
a chance to start again by eikoexe (M | Incomplete | 10/?)
Andrew Minyard was a consulting detective - probably one of the best. He lived a life alone and only kept well to his demands, solving more crimes than nobody could think possible. Wymack usually said he was stuck up on the job, Renee had been suggesting he finds himself someone to live with, just so he wouldn’t live a life full of solitude. Andrew said he didn’t need it, didn’t want it, that he was perfectly fine the way he was. But what if one day he met a boy who stubbornly tripped into his life? Who had been wanted by his father for running away? Who needed a place to stay… and who needed a home?
And so Andrew’s life changed when he met Neil Josten.
Or alternatively, a Sherlock AU where instead of Johnlock solving crimes, we get our Andreil boys.
Something, Nothing & Everything by TheBashfulPoet (E | 139,900 | 28/28)
Neil Josten is yet another name in a long list of identities used to hide a boy long since dead from a past blood had been spilled to forget. Essentially, he is and always will be nothing. And yet there has always been one thing that made Neil Josten real: music. After his mother’s death, music and singing were the only things tying him the threads of reality by the strap of a well-worn guitar. Too bad he’s pretty sure that it’s also going to be the thing to kill him. Especially when Kevin Day, international rock star and blast of Neil’s past comes waltzing back into his life demanding he joins the upstart and infamous band EXY as its new vocalist. To make matters worse, Kevin’s unofficial shadow, Andrew Minyard with a rap sheet taller than he is has taken an interest in the lie that Neil Josten and has made it his mission to uncover the bloodied truth that lies beneath.
By all accounts, Neil should just pick up his guitar and disappear like he’s done so many times before, but the chance to be real and seen is almost enough for him to plant his feet for the first time in 11 years he’s been running. Going into the spotlight means certain death, but Neil’s just not so sure that leaving it would mean anything different.
stars may collide by broship_addict, llheji (M | 20,664 | 2/2)
Moonlighting as Abram, member of the city's crime-fighting Foxes, Neil is doing a very bad job at staying under the radar. He's busy enough between his friends, patrol, and bickering with Andrew at work, but with the Ravens gang finally within reach and the reappearance of the Monster, he might have bitten more than he can chew.
(Or, how both Neil and Andrew accidentally fall in love with the same person twice. Lame.)
You Made a Monster Out of Me by basicallymonsters (M | Incomplete | 3/?)
He realizes that everyone feels exactly the same way he does, filthy and buzzed and understood and angry. His eyes find Andrew again, sober but animated like the drums are a live wire and he’s electric.
He thinks, if he could be part of this, if he could stand in the middle of the stage in a garden full of monsters, and sing the audience’s veins open, he would never need another drink, or another moment on court.
Prompt: Andreil in a rock band setting – tattoos, harsh lighting, calloused fingers, Andrew’s sweaty arms, Neil’s striking blue eyes, someone’s excellent voice, an uncomfortable undercurrent of drug abuse.
don’t take that sinner from me by wesninskids (M | Incomplete | 2/?)
In Bono, Alabama, a southern town where nobody ever goes, Neil Josten is a blind boy who used to read and write stories. Now he tells them aloud for his friend to write down, but things are quick to turn bland where there’s no color to see. He finds comfort in religion, thinking God can give him his eyes.
Then Andrew Minyard arrives in town in a dusty Impala and a crumpled suit, claiming he’s there to help Renee Walker take care of the church after the local priest’s death. Everyone soon starts wondering what his motives are and why he’d exile himself to a dead-end like theirs, mistrusting every word—but they’re after the wrong threat. Disillusioned and disappointed by religion, this lonely man of God came for a greater mission than preaching and blessing. He’s after something, and he might have just found it.
The blind boy of the town will either be his salvation or damnation, and he’s not sure which one yet.

doe & josten: deductionists by spanglebangle (M | Incomplete | 25/?)
Andrew Doe, rude but brilliant consulting detective, thought he had no need of a partner as he worked slowly away at dismantling the largest crime family in the country, helping out with other cases on the side to relieve the tedium. That was, until a scruffy runaway with a stupid amount of secrets stumbled into his life. Or, more accurately, broke into his kitchen.

this was a fic written for the aftgexchange on tumblr, but i decided to continue it as a multi-chapter fic on ao3! this is a fake dating au with no seth, riko/the moryamas, and drake so it’s the softest thing you’ll ever read
neil is a runaway, andrew works at a bakery, and nicky is really, really nosy. being someone’s fake boyfriend is a lot harder than it looks, especially when you’re hardcore crushing on them

Neil serves ice cream and Andrew might be addicted. There’s a lot of blushing.
Series: Part 1 of share a pint, share a kiss
only fools by kazbrekker_morelike_kazwrecker (E | 19,833 | 20/20)
A flower shop/coffee shop AU that no one asked for but appeared in my brain and had to get out. Neil never played Exy and never met the Foxes at PSU, but his story with his father remains the same. Neil doesn’t like people much but neither does Andrew and everyone knows coffee brings people together
the foxtrot’s not for the faint of heart by kazbrekker_morelike_kazwrecker, smolmoll04 (M | Incomplete | 3/?)
The Foxes are a dance group working their way up from being mostly underground and found their new studio and Wymack as their producer. The Moriyamas are a powerful human trafficking syndicate and instead of Exy, they deal in dance competitions. Neil’s father wanted to sell him to the syndicate but his mother was like NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU BITCH and ran with him.
Neil has found the Foxes and a familiar face… He also gets to meet a certain sarcastic five foot tall blond and things ensue…
trust fall by emeryuu (E | 9,948 | 1/1)
Neil is a florist who loves his job but isn’t going to refuse a second job if he can make good money from it. Even if the said job is bartending at a club. Even if that club is a BDSM club.
Andrew is a tattoo artist working at the studio next to neil’s flower shop. He’s a regular at Eden’s Twilight where he always can find a sub willing to do a scene with him.
One night they meet at the club and that’s a beginning of a new journey for both of them. What starts as simple deal to let Neil explore parts of life he hadn’t chance to explore, slowly becomes something much bigger.

AU in which Andrew doesn’t hate everything and Neil does not know how to deal with this beautiful nerd.
Allison/Renee (renison)
we all need sweets every now and then by downintheflames (M | Incomplete | 1/?)
A storm rumbled towards the team as they ran laps on the lacrosse field. Wymack had proclaimed they needed to breathe real air to get all their bullshit out of their system. Allison had complained about the humidity ruining her hair before she stopped to watch the clouds trip over themselves in the sky. Renee liked to think that in another life, Allison would have been a storm chaser. She was staring at the sky in awe while Renee stared at her. Andrew cleared his throat loudly. Neil nudged him softly then silently assured her that she should continue on - that the vulnerability was a good thing. Nicky rambled on to no one in particular about how one time when he was in Germany with Eric… Kevin slid his phone out of his pocket and took a picture of the clouds so he could look up exactly what kind they were when they returned to the dorms. Aaron grumbled about how stupid running laps outdoors was. Dan barked at them to get a move on - that they wouldn’t stop unless there was lightning. Matt immediately picked up his pace with Allison following behind him. Renee shook herself out of her thoughts. Allison was her best friend and nothing more. Andrew needed to stop acting like her saying that was such a joke.

Life never goes to plan. Love is no exception to this.
you, just you by zucheenee (M | 17,651 | 1/1)
Allison grabbed another slice of pizza, leaning back in her chair. Renee worried, not for the first time, that she’d fall and give herself a concussion. Allison sighed and flicked a lock of long blonde hair behind her shoulder, suddenly looking up and meeting Renee’s eyes. “Boys are just so stupid, right?” She said, smiling prettily at Renee. Allison always smiled prettily, and Renee wanted to die.
“Right.”
In which Allison can’t seem to find the right man, and Renee wishes Allison would get a clue.
lonely ♡s club by modernpatroclus (T | 1,719 | 1/1)
“Next time you need an outlet, come to me. I’ll take you shopping, not beat the shit out of you.”
“Andrew doesn’t usually beat me. I was distracted this morning.”
Renee realizes she’s tired of being set up with gay boys. Allison realizes that she’s ready to move on from Seth when she sees Renee after her latest sparring session with Andrew.
Jean/Jeremy (Jerejean)
playing on by flybbfly (M | 142,179 | 31/31)
"Who knew California Golden Boy Jeremy Knox could play dirty?”
Jeremy grins. “Best kept secret on the west coast. Told you there was a western division striker who could dispossess you.”
“On a practice court, maybe," Jean says. "Try to get it away from me during a game.”
Jeremy leans back, bracing himself on gloved hands. “Luckily, I won't ever have to.”
In which Jean Moreau and Jeremy Knox play exy, share a dorm room, and accidentally insult each another a lot.
between hoping and believing by cryptidkidprem (T | 47,332 | 7/7)
Jean convinced himself a long time ago that he doesn't have a soulmate. Or maybe he just wants to believe that. Things would be easier if he was destined to be alone. It will at least hurt less when he inevitably winds up that way anyway.
And then there's Jeremy, who's been dreaming of meeting his match for years. For some reason, Jeremy seems determined to convince Jean that sometimes he might actually be able to have the things he hopes for, and that soulmate or no, Jean Moreau has people who will stick with him.
Two Bros Five Feet Apart by Leahelisabeth (fortheloveofcamelot) (M | 27,220 | 9/9)
Jeremy sniffed as he looked at his computer screen and the email he had just opened up. Every colourful picture and excited blurb just another stab to his tattered heart. And there at the bottom, the biggest blow of all, “non-refundable.”
He sighed and slammed his laptop shut, not caring that his rough treatment could damage it. Right now, he wanted to damage something. A significant portion of his savings had gone into these tickets and now he had nothing to show for it, no girlfriend, no awesome vacation, and absolutely zero chill.
Jeremy's girlfriend dumps him on the eve of a romantic vacation. Jean fills in.
dreams of being golden by poetatertot (M | Incomplete | 6/8)
The ocean is a healer. This Jeremy knows better than anyone. It’s why he came back himself, when all turned to nothing; it’s why he took the others under his roof when the shadows at their back threatened to swallow them whole. It’s why he lets Jean in when he shows up suddenly, his pale face a soft light in the darkness. Jeremy sees him and knows he can’t subsist as he is, alone.
The ocean can’t change Jean’s past, but maybe it can wash his future into smooth, clean sand the way it did for so many others.
Stupid (for you) by justdk (T | 1,647 | 1/1)
He’s not the only who cares for Jean, the entire team has his back, wants to see him get better. But Jeremy’s the only one who is completely, helplessly in love with Jean Moreau and it hurts.
Face to the Sun by Leahelisabeth (fortheloveofcamelot) (G | 1,272 | 1/1)

“It’s your choice, but you’re rotting away in here, Jean and no matter what she says, you can’t live in Abby’s spare bedroom forever. Time to start fighting again.”
Kevin’s hard and commanding tone was no surprise. The softness had been beaten out of him around the same time as Jean.
“What if I don’t want to anymore?”
Maybe it was because he had been half hidden in shadows-Jean had kept the shades drawn, but light still seeped in the cracks- but Jean thought he had seen something akin to understanding paint Kevin’s cool expression. “He’s gone. You survived. Play or don’t, it’s up to you, but you need to get out of this fucking house.” // Jean's first year at USC. Jeremy falls hard, Jean comes around eventually.

Jean blinked. Blinked again. Was sure he didn’t recognize the man on his doorstep, with his bright eyes and enormous grin and wavy blonde hair. Waited for him to explain himself with a simple raised eyebrow.
“Hi!” the man finally chirped. The sound was happiness channeled into a single word, and Jean wasn’t sure how he didn’t hate him already.

burn, baby, burn by wesninskids (M | Incomplete | 3/?)
Nathaniel Wesninski is Riko’s precious #2, his best backliner, weapon of choice, and only mercenary—the first piece of his Perfect Court: in exchange of everything, thirteen year old Nathaniel gets his number tattooed on his cheekbone and becomes Riko’s partner for better or for worse. Soon Kevin Day and Jean Moreau join the envied line of Ravens and become partners in their turn, and the four of them chase after glory and find the missing pieces of their Perfect Court one player after the other, drunk on power and victory, caring for one another no matter what.
But then Nathaniel strikes a deal with Lola Malcolm to protect himself, and it’s all downhill from here.

Round 18
THE SEA EAGLE
MAKING RUGBY LEAGUE GREAT AGAIN!!!
Tumblr media
Round 18
Manly Sea Eagles 36
Defeated
Parramatta Eels   24
Tumblr media
A sunny Sunday afternoon, a packed Brookie up against the old enemy, the despised Eels and a victory. The only missing ingredient of a perfect afternoon being the absence of the dulcet tones of Rex “the Moose” Mossop calling the action.
There were however some ominous signs for Manly though when it was reported that Brad Parker had been recalled into the team as a late replacement for an injured Cade Cust.
Notwithstanding the inclusion of Parker, Manly opened the scoring after 5 minutes when improving winger Rueben Garrick crossed in the corner. Garrick then duly converted his own try. Young Garrick is but another example of a player improving in season 2019 as compared to last year, with the Sea Eagle still somewhat dumfounded as to the reason for this repeated and strange phenomenon. . The Sea Eagle vows to get to the bottom of this and seek a rational explanation.
Tumblr media
The Eels then hit back with two tries of their own, the first as a result of a Horhay Torfua howler. Young Horhay has the turning circle and mobility of a Mk1 Abrams tank and the sooner he is moved into the forwards the better for all concerned.
Defence then took a back seat for the remainder of the half, particularly from the Eels and Manly ran in four tries including a screamer from Tommy Turbo. Even the much-maligned Brad Parker managed to cross for a try as Manly held a 26-12 lead at the break.
The second half was less than inspiring with plenty of mistakes from both teams. Manly took their foot off the accelerator but made less mistakes than the Eels running in a further two tries with Rueben Garrick chalking up his first career hat-trick.
Two late tries to the Eels added some respectability however the final 36-24 scoreline did not justify the commanding nature of the Manly victory.
What a hapless mob the Eels are, and it was interesting to note the prevalence of Manly discards (David Gower, Shaun Lane, Clint Gutherson, Coach Brad Arthur etc.) within their ranks, indeed further proof positive that no-one goes better when they leave the nest.
Tumblr media
The win not only consolidates Manly within the top 8, but provides some hope for even better things to come as they now knock on the door of the top 4. Next week against the filthy wrestling, cheating rorters from Melbourne will provide a more accurate gauge on where Manly sit in season 2019.
More Embarrassment for the NRL- Mark Coyne
Since the off-season from hell the NRL has done a fair job in improving player behaviour however, the latest in a long stream of embarrassments comes directly from head office.   Proving that you can take the man out of the NRL, but you can never take the NRL out of the man, former Dragon and now NRL Commissioner, Mark Coyne has found himself in hot water and on the wrong side of the Singaporean legal system.
Tumblr media
It has been reported in the press that Mr Coyne has unleashed an expletive laden tirade along the lines of "you are a f---ing stupid idiot", a "f---ing dickhead" and a "cock", "f---ing cock" and "f---ing dog", he also threatened to "sue you through your f---ing arse" and adding "if some f---ing stupid c--- sues me, I don’t f---ing care. Especially you". And then finally "you are f---ing crazy", "you must be f---ing embarrassed" and "you must be so f---ing proud of yourself"
Such a tirade could have been excused and even justified had it taken place at an NRL Board meeting (and merely represented a rehash of the minutes of said meeting), or perhaps having been directed at incumbent NRL Chairman, Peter Beattie (given his many public statements in the past have only but confirmed his mastery of embarrassment).
Tumblr media
However poor old Mr Coyne made the fatal mistake of directing it towards a police officer in Singapore. Whilst the Australian judicial system seems to tolerate verbal and physical abuse directed towards the constabulary, such is not the case in Singapore and Mr Coyne was duly arrested, his passport confiscated and then detained in Singapore for seven weeks.
The Sea Eagle can report that Mr Coyne got off lightly and was very fortunate not to have been sentenced to the traditional Singaporean punishment for such an indiscretion.
Tumblr media
Compounding this indiscretion, Mr Coyne then thought it would be acceptable to withhold informing the NRL of his misdemeanour, allegedly suggesting something about an ear infection which prevented him from returning from Singapore. Mr Coyne also pulled out that old and well used NRL chestnut, claiming that he was too intoxicated to remember the incident and that his behaviour was completely out of character (aren’t they all!!).
It has since been reported in various outlets that Mr Coyne is a “good bloke and irreplaceable on the NRL Commission”. Be that as it may, and the Sea Eagle does not doubt it for one moment, with the power of an NRL independent Commissioner comes great responsibility. The first is not to embarrass oneself or the code (Mr Peter Beattie not knowing who the Sharks were is but one example of this), and the second it would seem, is not to go on drunken tirades in foreign lands and abuse the local police. Such things never end well.
The Sea Eagle notes that it has also been reported that Israel Folau is a “good bloke” but the NRL won’t allow him within a bull’s roar of participating in the greatest game of all.
As far as the Sea Eagle is concerned and bearing in mind that Clubs are required to immediately self-report any incident involving players/officials, in the interest of consistency (particularly given the Dylan Walker banning despite being found ultimately NOT GUILTY), the NRL, must enact its no-fault policy and Mr Coyne should be sacked from the Commission.
In the words of the great man President Trump, Mark Coyne “You’re Fired”.
The Sea Eagle’s only other comment on this unmitigated debacle, is to urge those that actually control the independent commission of the NRL, to resist the temptation (largely from the News Limited and Fairfax media) to appoint someone on the commission who has a so called rugby league background.
Everybody knows that sooner or later anyone with a significant rugby league background is more  likely than not going to have some sort of unsavoury incident surface. This is due basically to the rugby league  DNA factor .   Regrettably only those who are regular participants in rugby league seem to fully understand and appreciate how to control and limit  the impacts of this DNA chromosome mismatch, but as everybody knows, despite the best efforts all concerned, sooner or later the rugby league gene will kick in, and create embarrassment for all and sundry.
Tumblr media
It can't be stopped, it can only be managed.   This is not a criticism , as no other code on the planet seems to have this ability to recover from such significant embarrassment on a regular basis. But to put it as simply as one can, it is the reason why rugby league  is the greatest game of all and not the game they play in heaven (rugby union ).
Trent Barrett
The Sun Herald reported that on Saturday 19 July 2019, Trent Barrett’s coaching tenure at Manly officially came to an end. The same publication also reported said Mr. Barrett has somehow managed to land a gig as part of the All Blacks support crew. The Sea Eagle is not in a position to verify the accuracy of this allegation but if it is true you can expect that the All Blacks will not win the 2019 World Cup.
Tumblr media
Moreover, if indeed it is true, the mind boggles at who actually thought this was a good thing to do in New Zealand rugby. For a nation who on any objective basis is by far and away the best managed and performing rugby union outfit on the planet, it beggars belief that they thought they even need to go anywhere near the former Shark/Dragon playing, DFI infected, ex-Manly coach. A quick review of his coaching record and the fact that he's never won a premiership as a player or as a coach only confirms the folly of such a decision (if indeed it has been made).
Erskineville Toxic Waste Real Estate Developments
We have all read about the recent debacle that is new home unit construction in Sydney and Melbourne but in particular in the area starting from South of the Harbour Bridge heading towards Botany and Mascot.
Tumblr media
The latest in this sad and sorry saga is a revelation that a block of units in Erskineville will not be approved by the Council as fit for human habitation, because it has not complied with environmental rules. That is to say it was built on a toxic waste dump much in the same way that the Sydney Olympic Stadium was built on a toxic waste dump in Homebush.
Seemingly it is not acceptable for a few 100 people to live in a block of units on a toxic waste dump in Erskineville but it is perfectly reasonable to put 80,000 people on a regular basis into a stadium in Homebush with possibly even more alarming environmental issues underneath it.
The poor old punters who have bought these units off the plan can rightly feel that they have been Piss&d on from a great height.   Given the developer is an entity known as Golden Rain Development Pty Limited (apparently a Chinese backed real estate development firm), the Sea Eagle can confirm that the Director of Controversy is currently looking into whether or not a new name would be more appropriate.
Tumblr media
Something in the order of Golden Shower Development Pty Limited. But at this stage that is mere conjecture.

STAR WARS WOMEN 2 PART
Post written by ME. The animated gifs shown, however, AREN’T MINE and it DON’T BELONG TO ME IN ANY WAY. Sorry for my mistakes, but English isn’t my first language
HERE IS FIRST PART of this post:
https://romana73.tumblr.com/post/182414735626/star-wars-women-1-part
“You’re wrong, Leia. You have that power too. In time you’ll learn to use it as I have. The Force is strong in my family. My father has it. I have it and…my sister has it. Yes. It’s you, Leia”
(Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa, from “Star Wars Episode VI, Return of the Jedi” movie)
In this post we will get to talk about famous scandal stone, scene in which, in "Star Wars. Episode VIII. The Last Jedi" movie, floating in open space, Leia save herself using Force. Many are snapped, outraged, protesting Leia isn’t a Jedi and she hasn’t Force, so that scene should be redone and she die or be rescued by some errant knight (male, of course!) In fact, it would be enough to read quote reported to me at this post beginning, pronounced by LUKE SKYWALKER lived voice, in last chapter of original saga, CREATED AND DIRECTED BY GEORGE LUCAS, STAR WARS DAD, to blush and hide in some lost cave. In this post I'm going, however, in chronological order, so, before talking about Leia, I have to talk about ...
SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY:
QI'RA:
Orphan, thief, fighter, ambiguous and HAN SOLO’s first love, from which she’s separated as a young girl. Three years later, Qi'ra and Han find themselves in Alba Cremisi base, a criminal organization for which Beckett, Han's accomplice thief, is working. Han discovers Qi'ra is pupil and woman of DRYDEN VOS, organization boss, from which she was saved and trained. In end, Qi'ra will KILL DRYDEN in order to SAVE HAN, but then she LEFT HAN, also if SHE LOVE HIM, to JOIN DARTH MAUL, SITH at service of Emperor Palpatine:
Tumblr media
VAL BECKETT:
Thief, Tobias Beckett’s wife, strong, disillusioned, rude, actually she’s really in love with Tobias, till she will sacrifice herself:
Tumblr media
ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY
JYN ERSO:
Daughter of Galen Erso, a scientist forced by Empire to create deadly Death Star. Jyn is forced by her father to flee away, just before Imperials take him. Jyn grew up with extremist rebel Saw Gerrera. When she becomes adult, Jyn is imprisoned by imperial, but she’s freed from Resistance who enlist her for a mission: to prevent Death Star from completing. At cost of her life, Jyn will steal weapon's plans, which shows weak point of Death Star, managing to get them to have the Princess LEIA ORGANA, REBEL ALLIANCE LEADER, so Rebels can destroy weapon:
Tumblr media
"Star Wars. Episode IV. A New Hope","Star Wars. Episode V. Empire Strikes In Back","Star Wars. Episode VI. The Return of the Jedi":
LEIA ORGANA:
Daughter of jedi ANAKIN SKYWALKER and PADME' AMIDALA, senator and FOUNDER REBEL ALLIANCE. LUKE SKYWALKER’S SISTER TWIN, adopted daughter of BAIL ORGANA, Prince of Alderaan and Senator and Queen Breha Antilles. HAN SOLO’s wife and MOTHER of BEN SOLO, then became KYLO REN. Senator, RESISTANCE’S LEADER AND GENERAL, excellent fighter, especially with blaster, Leia is one who will put wheel of fate in motion, hiding in droid R2D2, plans stolen by Jyn Erso about Death Star and a help message for Jedi OBI - WAN KENOBI
Tumblr media
Captured and tortured by LORD VADER, she will amaze him for her HIGH MENTAL RESISTANCE: "Her resistance to the mind probe is considerable. Can be extract from any information” (Darth Vader about Leia Organa, from the movie "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope") Leia will only surrender when Vader and Governor Tarkin destroy Alderaan, her home planet, in front her eyes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Leia will be freed by Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Obi - Wan Kenobi. Three years later, Leia is one of REBELE ALLIANCE’S COMMANDERS and participates to evacuation on Hoth planet. ‘Cause of Lando Calrissian’s betrayal, she, Han and Chewbecca, will be CAPTURED and IMPRISONED by Darth Vader, who will torture and freeze Han into the carbonite. Successfully escaping with Lando and Chewbacca, later, Leia receives LUKE’S MENTAL CALL, to whom Darth Vader has cut a hand and runs to save him: "Ben... Ben, please! Ben. Leia! Hear me! Leia!" "Luke... we’ve got to go back" "What?" "I know where Luke is" (Luke, Leia and Lando, from "Star Wars Episode V. Empire Strikes Again" movie)
Tumblr media
Six months later, disguised as a bounty hunter, Leia manages to enter Jabba The Hutt’s den, where Han is still frozen in carbonite. Leia manages to free Han from freezing. Unfortunately, their escape is discovered and Jabba closes Han in cell, keeping Leia as his slave. Luke and Rebel Alliance are coming to couple rescue. During battle, LEIA KILLS JABBA THE HUTT, throttling him using chain with which she was tied:
Tumblr media
Later, before his death, Master Yoda reveals to Luke EXIST ANOTHER SKYWALKER: "Pass on what you have learned, Luke... there is...another...Sky...Sky...walker." (Master Yoda to Luke Skywalker, from the movie "Star Wars Episode VI, Return of the Jedi") Intrigued, Luke asks for explanations to Obi - Wan Kenobi ghost, who reveals truth to him: Leia is his TWIN SISTER. She’s THE OTHER SKYWALKER Yoda was talking about:
“The other he spoke of is your twin sister”
“But I have no sister”
”Mm. To protect you both from the Emperor, you were hidden from your father when you were born. The Emperor knew, as I did. If Anakin were to have any offspring, they would be a threat to him. That is the reason why your sister remains safely anonymous”
“Leia. Leia’s my sister”
“Your insight serves you well. Bury your feelings deep down, Luke. They do you credit, but they could be made to serve the Emperor.”
(Luke Skywalker and Obi - Wan Kenobi, from "Star Wars Episode VI, Return of the Jedi” movie)
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, led by Leia, Han and Luke, a rebels contingent on Endor to deactivate a shield prevents their fleet from attacking Death Star. In a moment of tranquility, Luke reveals to Leia that Darth Vader is their father, they are twins and SHE HAVE THE FORCE: "[...] And that's not all. It will not be easy for you to listen to it, but you must do it: if I do not survive, only you can save the Covenant " "Luke do not talk like that: you have absolutely exceptional powers that I do not have at all" "You're wrong, Leila: you have those powers too. Over time, you too will learn how to use them. Force flows in my family. In my father... in me...and in... my sister also... yes... it's you, Leila" "I know. It's as if... If I had always known " (Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa, from the movie "Star Wars Episode VI, Return of the Jedi")
Tumblr media
From that moment, Leia uses the Force to instinct. Looking inside her, Leia manages to PERCEIVE Luke is alive: “I'm sure Luke wasn't on that thing when it blew”
“He wasn't. I can feel it” (Han Solo and Leia Organa, from "Star Wars Episode VI, Return of the Jedi" movie)
Tumblr media
Leia is ONLY WOMAN TO PARTICIPATE in person at Endor BATTLE
Tumblr media
Given all this, it seems to me supported by TESTS AND EVIDENTS, SUPPLIED BY OLD SAGA, Leia HAS FORCE and it’s UNDERSTANDING, over time, Luke has taught Leia to use it. At this point, Rian Johnson and J.J. Abrams SHOULDN’T RECTIFY and CORRECT NOTHING to "Star Wars. Episode VIII. The latest Jedi" movie, ‘cause Leia has every right to use Force and call Luke through that:
Tumblr media
Special Mention for MON MOTHMA: Human woman, senator of Galactic Senate and Imperial Senate, LEADER of Alliance for the Restoration of the Republic and first CANCELLER of New Republic. Faithful friend of Padme Amidala, Mothma was a POLITICAL MENTOR of Princess/General LEIA ORGANA. Always Mothma instructs JYN ERSO to find information about Death Star:

" Walker: Independence, The Winchesters & Gotham Knights Land Pilot Orders At The CW". "Gotham Knights is the next Batman game (without Batman)". " Batwoman Team to Develop Gotham Knights Series at CW".
^ a b c Otterson, James (December 13, 2021).
The first trailer was released on May 31, 2022, to a mostly negative response. Filming įilming for the pilot episode began in April 2022 throughout the streets of Toronto. In April, Rahart Adams was cast as Brody. Anna Lore also joined the cast, portraying Stephanie Brown. In March 2022, Oscar Morgan, Fallon Smythe, Tyler DiChiara, Olivia Rose Keegan, and Navia Robinson were cast for the pilot shortly afterward, and Misha Collins revealed that he would portray Harvey Dent. The series is scheduled to premiere in 2023. In May 2022, The CW picked up Gotham Knights to series. In February 2022, The CW ordered a pilot episode to evaluate. The similarly titled video game also takes place in a post-Bruce Wayne Gotham and also features the Court of Owls as antagonists, but the projects are unrelated. The series is currently being written by Natalie Abrams, James Stoteraux, and Chad Fiveash, all of whom also serve as executive producers with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden through Berlanti Productions. In December 2021, it was reported that a television series adaptation was in development at The CW.
Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown, the Cluemaster's daughter.
Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela Dent, the Joker's daughter.
Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Row, the brother of Harper.
Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes, Bruce Wayne's adopted son.
At least the Harley Quinn show is still going. In the wake of Bruce Wayne's death, his rebellious adopted son Turner Hayes forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman's enemies when they are all framed for the murder and attempt to clear their names.
GOTHAM KNIGHTS NEWS MOVIE
Discovery’s recent implosion, including the cancelation of a Batgirl movie with next to no notice to anyone working on it. In other DC news, the comic company’s extended universe has been hit in a few ways during Warner Bros. While the villains trailer showcases a lot of the interesting story elements, its existing in a space between story-driven action game and live-service game has been a point of hesitation for some folks like Fanbyte Intern Charles Harte, who wrote about the issue right here. The game is cooperative, so up to four players can play as Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood. Gotham Knights takes place in a continuity where Batman is gone and only the kids of the Bat Family are around to protect Gotham.
Batman Voice Actor Thanks Fans For Supporting His DC Pride Story.

Hopefully, DC Films’ New Ten-Year Plan Will Be Better Than Previous Promises.
