Like, I know it’s probably this way because of traditional Japanese gender role shit (not to pretend the west doesn’t have its own version of this problem, btw) but in my headcanon? 18 and Krillin just understand that doing what you love is more important than what you’re good at. And it’s equally important to allow your partner the same.

18 is a cyborg with a literally infinite supply of energy. She’s somewhere between 2x–5x stronger than Krillin, and could be even stronger if she actually trained. But she only has that power because someone kidnapped her and tried to make her a killing machine.

But she doesn’t want to be a superhero, she wants to be a wife and a mom. She’s unfortunately had most of her literal humanity stolen from her. Krillin wants to be a cool martial arts guy and support his family.

We only see Krillin’s side of this mismatch most of the time, but can you imagine 18 dealing with a fussy infant at the bank? Or going to a parent teacher conference and scaring the life out of everyone? Or just like normal household care? ‘wait, you guys want food?? again??? i already fed you like twice today!’ Looking up how often babies should be breathing while they’re asleep because she literally can’t sleep and has new mom anxiety? (also she doesn’t need to breathe, obviously)

Like, Krillin is more personable and gets along with basically everyone. He would probably be a better natural fit for a lot of these roles, right? But doing them isn’t as important for him. He doesn’t need to prove to himself and the world that he’s still capable of tenderness and human connection. That his body may have been replaced, but his soul is still his. She does.

I dunno, probably doing a lot of the manga’s work for it because it generally treats its women like shit. But I like 18 and Krillin lol

(also 18 is the only character that seems to genuinely think Krillin is cool, and that’s because she’s the only smart one. Krillin rules.)

is it just me or does simon seem like the kind of guy to hold your face while he's fucking into you? and not in the cute awh let me look at you, baby kind of way. no, not at all, actually. he'd hold your face with one hand in that borderline aggressive kind of way that squishes your cheeks a little bit. in that way that's not painful but just firm enough to keep you from turning your head, so that he's forcing you to look him in the eyes. you manage to turn your head? nope, he's turning your head straight back so that he can see the way your eyebrows knit together when he hits your most sensitive spots. just his little way of making sure you're feeling as good as you sound.
