For those who don’t know I have an Undertale AU. It’s called Lost!Tale. I showed these on my YouTube channel without much explanation to it. Well now I want to explain a bit of my AU. Of course not too much.

Lost!Tale used to be a normal Undertale timeline. However one day it simply disappeared. Not by anything apart of the Undertale multiverse. It was instead caused by something outside of the Undertale multiverse. Lost!Tale suddenly appears with the monsters having strange appearances and powers. But many people don’t know that Lost!Tale exist. Some even believe that it never existed. But it is real, it’s just hard to find.

I wanted my AU to not interfere with other stuff that happens in the Undertale AU. It also has ties into my main sona, Wolf M’s, backstory. But I don’t want to spoil too much. So just take the designs and a small bit of lore. Names and designs might change. I don’t entirely know 😅. I hope that you guys have a good day or night!

He wanted to fly far, far away from home, where his parents’ comments that might as well have been slaps for how badly they stung couldn’t get to him. Flying was his way out. His escape. If he was thousands of feet up in the sky, way up with the clouds, then his parents couldn’t touch him. No one could. When Buck got pulled from the reserves just after the lawsuit, it seemed like perfect timing. There was nothing left for him in LA. Not anymore. So, it looked like Buck was heading back to Top Gun.

do you have any good fluttercord fic recs?

OH BOY DO I. In no particular order (except of when I thought of them):

1: Non-Entity by Captain Wuzz: An AU in which, instead of being turned to stone, Discord was shot in the head with a magic arrow that takes away his sentience and magic for a 1,000 years. Fluttershy mistakes him for a wounded animal and brings him home. I loved it so much.

2: Chaotic Neutral by C-Puff: The magic is starting to fade from Equestria, and the Main 6 and Discord go on an adventure to find out why, and reverse it. A bit of AU, in the sense it was written before the show was done, so it diverts in some places because of that. Super sweet, and I love the character development here.

3: Time is Taller than Space is Wide by Dott. Can also be read on Ao3 if you prefer. Soulmate AU (?) fic with a Groundhog Day style twist. I rarely see fics play with the idea of what if Fluttershy and Discord's friendship had started when they first met, so this is fun.

4 & 5: Blank and it's sequel Reconnection by @geekcat. Can also be read on fanfic.net. AU in which, before Discord can choose friendship over ruling Equestria, Twilight remembers a "reformation" spell. He is stripped of his free will, and Fluttershy does her best to bring him back. If you don't like the idea of Twilight being a villain, you might not like this one, but I think her villain arc in this is done in a perfect way for her character. It's super heart wrenching in many places, but in a good way.

6: Our Fair Lady of the Chaos Lord, also by GeekCat Can also be read on fanfic.net. Fairy tale inspired AU in which Fluttershy is a princess who's father is pressuring her to marry noble knight Sir Big Mac. Wanting to be sure he's a good person, she makes a deal with the Chaos Lord, letting herself be "kidnapped" so she can test his character. You can guess who she falls for instead. Honestly I've enjoyed all of GeekCat's fics, so they're getting an extra mention. Check out the rest of their fluttercord fics if you like any of these.

7: The Draconequus with the Dragon Tattoo by A M Shark This is a major case of, strange premise, kick ass results. Basically an AU based off Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson, with Discord as Lisbeth, and Fluttershy as an amalgamation of Mikael and several other characters, but focusing more on the murder mystery aspect of that book, and less on the...everything else. If you're familiar with GwtDT, don't worry, there's no rape scenes. Again, it's more about the murder mystery part. If you're not familiar with GwtDT, then don't worry again, because you don't need to know the original to enjoy it. It's just Discord and Fluttershy playing detective and solving a murder together. It has two sequels, but I haven't read them yet, and it didn't feel right to rec something I haven't read.

8: The Corpse Bride by Bad Horse. Dark fic. No relation to the Burton movie. Fluttershy dies in a tragic accident, and Discord brings her back from the dead as his zombie wife. Her friends (sans Pinkie) are horrified. Has a fantastic twist ending. If you like some of the darker stuff, def worth a read.

Bonus: Comic rec: The Last Adventure by Eveeka. Taking place after the final defeat of Tirek, Cozy, and Chrysalis, Discord gets into a depressive funk after shouldering the hatred from Ponyville citizens for his latest actions, but also because his friends seem to never be available anymore. He starts to think maybe Equestria would be better off without him, as he can't seem to exist with out making everyone miserable, and decides to hide away in the Everfree forest. Fluttershy, worried when he doesn't show up for tea, asks her friends for help, only to discover there's a monster running lose there he and the rest of Equestria might be in danger from. This fic has two endings, so keep reading even when it seems like it's over. You've got one more ending left. This one nearly made me cry.

This AU is a crossover between Undertale and The Last Of Us. In this universe there was no war, Humans and Monsters live in peace and magic doesn't exist.

Frisk is an abandoned child who was adopted by Toriel. She's very close to Sans and Papyrus, they were the ones who took care of her when Toriel was busy.

2013 - Start of the epidemic

One day, when Frisk was coming home from school, her mother attacked her, she wasn't in her normal state, she was... infected. Sans saved Frisk and he killed Toriel.. With Papyrus, they left the city, their cell phone had no more battery and they have no news from their friends. Six months later, they came across several hordes of infected. They managed to escape but Sans and Papyrus were bitten..

Frisk had to continue her journey alone to find a quarantine area.. She joined the FEDRA and trained to become a soldier.

4 years later, Frisk saw Sans and Papyrus again, Frisk thought they were dead but no... they had become... clickers...

Supertale originally had a more complex story about Mario universe fusing with Undertale, but I realize now the simple explanation is the better one; Undertale characters with minimalistic personality changes get Mario character roles. Sans: Similar to CrossBones, this more active Sans still prefers to lay back and relax with a good pun or two, but will jump in to save the day! Papyrus: Papyrus wants to shine as a hero in his own right, he's better at hiding his fears than Luigi. Toriel: The Queen of the Underground, she's calm, polite, and able to use fire magic! The perfect ruler! If only she didn't say so many bad puns...

Mad Mew Mew: The best Princess. She built her own kingdom right above the Underground. Even so, she still lives in Papyrus's sink in this universe as well.

Spamton: Spamton.

Pink Addison: Are they friends? Lovers? Brothers? DEO they even have genders? No like Pink will tell you; after all, they're too busy cheating and scamming.

Greater Dog: Dog Island is where Greater Dog lives; nobody would DARE steal their bone horde... right?

Lesser Dog: Following in Greater Dog's paw prints, Lesser Dog is- oh... they got distracted by a butterfly...

(note: C’s show is based on Ise Monogatari, a collection of waka poems dating from the Heian period.)

Chapter 1 -street, evening-

zakuro: My oh my, would you look at that, Saki-sama, it’s the spring sunset. It casts such a fleeting and mysterious atmosphere over the city, it drew my attention before I knew it.

saki: You’re in a good mood tonight, Zakuro-san.

zakuro: Indeed, indeed. That is simply because I like spring. Of the four seasons none can compare to its deceitful allure. There is no other season quite as joyous as spring, don’t you agree? 

Oh my, your expression tells me that you think otherwise. Then, look at those flowers blooming over there. Drawn in by their beauty, unprepared, you come to a halt at a crossroads— And then, you end up setting foot down the fifth path, never to return again… 

Fufufu, the sweet little bird has lost her way. Are you sure we're headed in the correct direction?

saki: Huh? O-of course I’m sure. Don't say things like that all of a sudden!

zakuro: My oh my, could it be that you're not a fan of scary ghost stories? I happen to love them. Don't I look like the type of person who would be into such bizarre tales?

Oh, but! Such strange occurrences have never happened to me personally. The supernatural appears to be avoiding me, it is most disappointing.

saki: Is that so?

zakuro: Indeed, though that is because I think that the bizarre has a preference. For example, the young nobleman that Mokuren plays in our show. People like him would be its favourite food.

A love so deep that he continues to love even whilst knowing that he will never meet his sweetheart again. I’m sure that even beings that are not human would pity such a person and be drawn towards them.

Sad as it may be, a love like that is simply not possible for me…

saki: So that’s the conclusion you came to after falling in love?

zakuro: –How should I have taught you? I who through ignorance have constantly asked others what love might be.* Are you really asking I, who has no experience with love, that question, Saki-sama?

saki: Huh…?

zakuro: Even if I did, I have no memories of it now. Fufufu, whether you want to believe me or not is your own prerogative. 

Oh my, whilst we were talking we've already reached the station. I will part with you here, have a good night.

saki: Hello, Zakuro-san. What are you doing?

zakuro: Why if it isn't Saki-sama. Welcome once again to Starless today. I was simply admiring the flowers, these are all flower stands that I’ve received.

saki: Woah, they're amazing… These ones are all addressed to you.

zakuro: Indeed. I have also received many nice compliments, like one saying that they were enchanted by my voice.

saki: The song for this show is another magical and wonderful song, so I can see why.

zakuro: My my, now even you are complimenting me. Dear me, it is the greatest honour to hear that as a singer.

Hm… And yet, on the flipside, my heart feels as though it is empty. Since I am an empty vessel singing a song about love whilst knowing nothing about it myself.

saki: There you go saying that again…

saki: (Wah, the petals are falling…)

zakuro: My, what cold words. If we can have falling cherry blossoms here then wouldn't some flowing water have been nice as well?

Or am I simply talking nonsense as I lament? Going without confirming whether or not it's a lie or the truth would be nothing but a punishment. Alas, you look as though you would break my heart into a million pieces, little bird.

saki: W-wait a moment. What do you mean? What do you want to confirm?

zakuro: Oh my, are you interested? Then you would have no choice but to fall in love with me. I knew today was going to be my lucky day. This will be the start of our love, a secret from all.

saki: Don’t just declare that on your own! But wait, why does it have to be a secret?

zakuro: Because secrets always taste as sweet as honey. Not to mention, there are lots of nosy outsiders at this store. I think it would be best to develop our little love affair in private. Oh, but despite calling it a secret that does not mean I wish for us to have to hold back.

If you so desire it, I too would have no qualms melting together and becoming one right away. You and I, with both our hearts and bodies laid bare…

saki: W-what are you saying–

saki: ….!?

zakuro: If you're hesitant, then why not just blame it on the season? Say that you were enticed by me due to it being spring. By all means, whenever you feel like falling in love, do let me know.

Plotting out "Kingdom Hearts" (Disney movie)

Background

The idea of a "Kingdom Hearts" anime was scrapped in 2003, and the series never surfaced again until a couple decades later. The idea was mentioned in passing, but the biggest issue was the confusing nature of the story (particularly the "you didn't know the full story" aspects of it) and uneasiness about making it a "Disney extravaganza" by having the plot revolve heavily around Disney characters. This inspired someone to pitch a version of the story that was completely original (replacing Disney characters' roles with original characters) and forgoing aspects that laid the groundwork for future installments, as if KH1 had been an open-and-shut storyline. Given that the franchise is still ongoing and reached larger success thanks to 2019's KH3, there was hesitancy in regards to audiences confusing the potential film and the video game franchise as a shared universe, but after their success with Hayao Miyazaki's "Kitsune" under their company, they are eager to further entice their Japanese fanbase again. So the story is worked in a vein (ironically) similar to Final Fantasy, opting for a modern fantasy tale with an anime-inspired 2D art style. Given their success with "Arcane," Disney manages to get Pascal Charrue and Arnaud Delord as directors, with Jared Bush writing the script and Seth Kearsley making additional story implements. It's said that Tetsuya Nomura was consulted here and there for finalizing character details, and there is emphasis on keeping the characters Japanese (with their home of Destiny Islands being a tropical version of San Fransokyo). The idea of making it a musical is not really met with opposition, but who to use. When Disney decides they'd like to use "Simple and Clean," "Sanctuary," and possibly "Face My Fears" and "Don't Think Twice" (as additions to the soundtrack rather than taking the place of the actual songs), Hikaru Utada hears about this and gets in contact with Disney. After a bit of back and forth, they agree to let her be the mind behind the music in order to give it a pop-meets-JPop flair, particular since "Khoeli" used pop artist songwriters and "Midnight Masquerade" used pop-influenced Broadway music. There's also a bit of an exhaustive decision of whether or not to use the same voice cast as the video games, and the fact that most of the cast has remained unchanged up to now has made the decision somewhat difficult, as Disney can't really fall back on the "they've had so many VAs up to this point, what's one more?" excuse.

Plot

Off the shore of the country of Radiance, there's a tropical paradise known as the Destiny Islands. There lies Sora, who together with his friends Riku and Kairi, go down different paths to achieve their dreams, unwillingly thrust in an ancient battle of darkness and light. If Sora hopes to rescue his friends from this conflict, he must understand that no light can exist without shadows, and no darkness can exist without the contrast of light.

Characters

Sora Uenaka--A dreamer and somewhat of a slacker, Sora is raised by his mom to believe that anything is possible, but to not forget your friends in the quest to achieve your dreams. As such, he's always been inseparable from his best friend Riku and Kairi, who arrived to Destiny Islands when he and Riku were kids. His biggest dream is to travel, so he works hard at various jobs and at school to make sure he can save up enough to go on vacation with his friends for the summer. When a darkness overtakes the island, he is eventually bestowed with a keyblade, a weapon of local mythology that is said to be born from falling stars and unfufilled dreams--which Sora is super confused about, but he goes along with it in order to rescue his friends. As a tribute to classic video game openings, a chain hang from his pants that hold circular stained glass pendant. It's also noted that while Sora isn't a heart of pure light like Kairi, he does repel darkness without realizing it, and doesn't notice that his shadow has a mind of it's own. Out of the seven "Hearts of Light," he gravitates towards Calla (inspired Belle), a sheltered intellect who craves exploration and helps him with understanding the goals of Master Xehanort. Sora represents the balance of dark and light. It's noted that only Sora wields a keyblade here while Riku and Kairi use magic, but while the keyblade is the main source of returning hearts from darkness, it's not the only way; it's just the easiest and much less exhaustive.

Riku Kikuchi--Raised in a well-to-do family, Riku has always succeeded at everything he desired, being academically and athletically competent. But the monotony of the island bores him, and he desires something greater. However, the wrong being heard his dreams, and granted his wish, giving him the power of darkness in order to travel the world. But while the darkness threatens to overtake him, he still keeps his friends and family close to his heart, even if he fears they're dead or no longer want anything to do with him. He listens to the darkness--named Xehanort--who tells him that Kairi can make all his dreams come true. Kairi, sensing the darkness, flees, and Riku misinterprets this as her being disgusted with his power, leading him to wear a suit of armor to disguise his appearance. He represents an overabundance of darkness, and his brief unity with Xehanort allows him to contain the darkness for Sora to seal the door to Kingdom Hearts.

(Note: Riku's fashion in the film is similar to the anniversary art, but has blue dominance.)

Kairi Hirawa--A young woman who came to Destiny Islands with her grandmother (who is hinted at being Aqua, and thus why Kairi wears a wayfinder necklace) and little brother Ienzo, she eventually becomes known as the "Heart of Light," born with a powerful magic that unlocks doors of infinite power. Sensing it taking over Riku, she flees, using her grandmother's stories to guide her on her path. Her power allows her to connect her thoughts and feelings to others, and prevents her from becoming a Heartless as a result of her light. Riku misinterprets her avoidance as having become disgusted with his power, but the evil spurring him on will stop at nothing to claim her. She represents the existence of light without shadow. It's eventually revealed that while one can be born a HoL, a person can also become one, but it's much more rare, though Sora becomes one after sacrificing his light to bring back Kairi and seal the door to Kingdom Hearts with his two closest friends. In order to avoid Riku feeling like a third wheel, Kairi's relationship with the boys is depicted as platonic.

Xehanort--A mage who fell to darkness when trying to study the human heart, his dabbling with magic eventually became corrupted by primordial darkness, giving him the power to take the hearts of others, creating the Heartless. Ienzo discovers his notes on the subject while working in Radiance, the mainland that Destiny Islands are off the coast of. While he gets his hooks into Riku, they unknowingly create a bond, and Riku can see the loneliness in his heart, though he is too prideful and blinded by darkness to ever admit to it. When he is defeated, the trio note that he was the poor product of isolation and curiosity, and Sora says that if he has light in his heart, it will find it's way "somewhere far beyond, but still under the same sky."

Songs

Dawn of Destiny--An ancient story told by Kairi's grandmother about the beginning of the world, of foretellers and organizations, of how time takes and shifts things around, but in the end, there is a continuous struggle of light versus dark. She reminds Kairi that there is no meaning of one without the other, and that to solve problems, you must have a "foot in both worlds."

Wayfinder--Sora, Kairi, and Riku discuss their families and lives with each other, and Kairi promises to make wayfinder necklaces for the boys, as she believes that they'll bring them good luck, as well as the fact that they look similar to the local paopu fruit, which ties together the destinies of those who eat one together.

See You Later--During a disastrous storm, Sora finds Riku on the small island they go to relax on, and finds him in a trance, renouncing their home and wanting to venture beyond. Sora attempts to find Kairi on the island, but she flees, trying to tell him about Riku but is unable to before the darkness overtakes the island.

Heartbeat--Sora befriends Calla, a beautiful young woman in Radiance who's trying to uncover the reason for the darkness overtaking the country, and she eventually discovers an ancient legend of "Hearts of Light," people of pure hearts who have an archaic magic able to open the door to Kingdom Hearts, the original light that separates the world from darkness. Her husband Orson discourages her interest, correctly surmising that she shows signs of being a Heart of Light and her life being in danger.

Without You--Riku contemplates his role with Xehanort, becoming more suspicious that he's being used, but Xehanort manipulates his vulnerability, making him believe that no one thinks he can do anything on his own, and that by freeing himself of the shackles of his former attachments, he can get stronger. But wait, if he doesn't have his attachments, what's the point of doing this? What does "something greater" mean if you have no reason to share it with?

A Little Curiosity--Ienzo keeps in contact with Kairi and informs her of Xehanort's notes that he found. The laboratory he now works in used to be a castle that Xehanort used as his lair for his own magical experiments, and where he became corrupted by darkness.

Heartbeat (Powerful Friends Reprise)--After being tricked into giving his heart to Xehanort in exchange for Kairi's safety, Sora becomes a heartless, snapping Riku out of Xehanort's hold and fully unlocking Kairi's HoL powers, opening the door to Kingdom Hearts. However, when she takes the beaten Riku and the Heartless Sora, she and Riku take Sora's keyblade in hand and inspire light to come out of Kingdom Hearts, destroying Ansem.
