Experience the Olay Transformation - Commercial Review
youtube
This advertisement is all about Olay and how it helps your skin become better. It depicts how you can confidently level up by using Olay products. The commercial claims that change is constant, and our skin needs to keep up. Olay also claims that you can see visible results starting day one. The intended audience is most likely those who want to level up their skincare, those who want to feel more confident with their skin, or those who want their skin to keep up with changes in their life and surroundings. The three creams that were advertised in this commercial were the Olay Regenerist, Olay White Radiance, and Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 day cream. During my research, several reviews popped up about the three creams- most of them expressing positive comments. According to Lambert, B., she was impressed by how hydrating and soft Olay's Regenerist cream was. To add to this, a review for Olay's White Radiance cream by Villanueva, B., expressed that apart from her getting the lightening effect from said cream, the Olay White Radiance is a good option for skincare, and it helped her achieve a "young and radiant" look. For the last cream, the Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 day cream, in a website entitled: 'Try and Review', a user with the username @Mklefd, expressed that the cream is a great product when you have signs of aging, wrinkles, dry skin, and big pores. She claimed that her pores are no longer visible since using this product. She has also expressed that she loves the product a lot. In this advertisement, celebrity endorsement is used as media manipulation. Celebrity endorsements are a form of media manipulation wherein the celebrity creates an impression that the product is of good quality and that consumers should buy them since they (the celebrities) use it themselves. In return, the consumer will have the thought that if he/she uses the product, they achieve what the celebrity has, whether it be flawless skin, white teeth, and more. In the ad, we can see three very prominent female stars in the Philippines. Namely, Charo Santos, Janella Salvador, and Pia Wurtzback. All three of these women are very influential and widely visited in all sorts of media. To summarize my blog, the totality of these products shows that they are effective and consumers love them, which is very important, especially since the product is used on the skin. With all the reviews and claims aforementioned by the consumers, the product is highly effective and can produce successful results. The commercial most likely became viral because of the celebrities endorsing it. References:

Shay Mitchell, Before and After
Shay Mitchell may be best known for starring in the hit TV show Pretty Little Liars, but more recently, she's played another role: beauty influencer.
Ever since the show ended in 2017, the 31-year-old actress has been repping brands like Bioré, La Mer and Buxom on her social media channels. That means she shares a lot of sponsored content with her millions of followers—and it's not always positively received!
Take this ad, for example. As reported by Buzzfeed, her fans called it "the fakest thing they've ever seen"...
Thanks for watching!
😂😂😂
That's not the only thing she's faked. Refinery29 also documented evidence of a "fake-cation" on Shay's Instagram, with the star posting other people's Hong Kong travel photos as her own.
So this all got me thinking... WHAT ELSE might be fake about Shay?
Let's take a look at her beauty evolution over the years and find out!

Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching!
Shay in 2010
Shay Mitchell at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards.
This is a 23-year-old Shay on one of her first-ever red carpets, just a couple months after Pretty Little Liars premiered. Her style was completely different back then—this was before the "Kardashian look" would become an actual trend! But even with the dated eyeshadow application, she seems fresh-faced.
Shay Mitchell at the Lili Claire Foundation's 2010 Benefit Luncheon.
And here's an even more natural look from the same year. This is her natural hair texture (which she described to Byrdie as "super-wavy"), and we can also see her natural brow shape... lip shape... and nose shape. All of those features ended up changing later on!
Shay in 2011
Shay Mitchell at QVC's 2011 Red Carpet Party.
With a classic black cat eye and red lipstick, this looks nothing like the Shay we know now. But is it just the makeup, or something more? I'm noticing a wider nose and thinner upper lip in these early pictures, for starters. Also, she had a very monolid eye shape thanks to her Filipina heritage.
Shay Mitchell at the Somaly Mam Foundation's 2011 Project Futures Launch.
Another thing to note is how much fuller Shay's face was during this time. She was 24 in this shot, so was it baby fat that she later lost? Or did she have a little nip and tuck to get the sculpted jawline she has now? One thing's for certain: she really loved her false eyelashes and shimmery shadow!
Shay in 2012
Shay Mitchell at the 2012 Daily Style Sessions with Stella & Dot, H.Bloom and HPNOTIQ.
Then, there was this surprisingly bare-faced look, which I love. Sans false lashes and heavy eyeshadow, you really appreciate her natural beauty. She also lightened the ends of her hair for a subtle, tone-on-tone Ombré effect.
Shay Mitchell at the 2012 ABC West Coast Upfronts.
Shay's hair and makeup really did improve in 2012, as this shot also demonstrates. (It makes sense—celebs always get access to better hairstylists and makeup artists as their fame rises.) In terms of her features, I think this photo clearly shows that her nose was more prominent back in the day.
Shay Mitchell at the 2011 world premiere of 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.'
And here we can see what her original nose looked like from the side. It's certainly flatter than the nose she has now (not that there was anything wrong with that!). In fact, I think she looks really beautiful here. Her skin is flawless, her hair is healthy and shiny, and I love the smoky eye makeup.
Shay in 2013
Shay Mitchell at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards.
In 2013, Shay rocked these beachy, warm blonde highlights, which give her a brand new look. (I think the key was keeping the roots dark, to match her brows.) Compared to 2011, her face is noticeably thinner. But since her jawline still has the same shape, I think it's just weight loss.... for now!
Shay in 2014
Shay Mitchell at GQ's 2014 Men of the Year Party.
By age 27, however, Shay looked even more different. She went back to dark hair, for one thing. But it's also the more confident pose... and a newly chiseled face! One of the procedures I suspect is called submental liposuction, because it looks like fat has been removed from her lower face and jawline. The other is a rhinoplasty, although the next few photos will make that even clearer!
Shay in 2015
Shay Mitchell at Lupus LA's 2015 Orange Ball.
Before Shay fully committed to the Kardashian aesthetic that she adopted from here on out, there was one last natural-ish look on the red carpet. (Other than the Instagram brows, that is!) The major change here is in her smile. If you compare and contrast with 2010, it's obvious that she had veneers done along with whitening. I also feel like her eyes may have changed, but it's hard to tell with makeup!
Shay in 2016
Shay Mitchell at the 2016 Outfest Legacy Awards.
Right when Pretty Little Liars was wrapping up filming for good, Shay debuted her new grown-up beauty vibe. I suppose if she's going to make her living off Instagram now, she has to look the part?! With so much makeup, it's hard to tell what's real, and what's just contour and highlighter. But I think it's fairly obvious, seeing her profile, that the bridge of her nose is not as flat as it was before (despite the stripe going down the middle).
Shay in 2017
Shay Mitchell at the 2017 Variety and Women in Film Emmy Nominee Celebration.
A few months after the PLL series finale, Shay lightened up her look (she was 30 years old at this point). I actually like this a lot... but there's still something about it that comes across as very "done." I think it's her lips—which are overdrawn with lip liner, yes, but also appear inflated. Her cheekbones may have been enhanced, too, because they appear to be projecting out more.
Shay in 2018
Shay Mitchell at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards.
In 2018, she continued with the Instagram brows and false lashes, along with lots of contouring (which was actually quite well done). But the "ring around the lip gloss" is very Jennifer Lopez! Since she's facing the camera, we have a good view of her nose, and I think you'll agree with me that it's more petite and defined now. Also check out her upper lip, which strikes me as being plumped with filler.
Shay in 2019
Shay Mitchell at Entertainment Weekly's 2019 SAG Awards Pre-Party.
That brings us to 2019, and Shay's most dramatic red carpet appearance of all! This is the look that prompted my investigation—she's just SO sculpted, I had to find out if it was makeup or something more. Now, I'm convinced it's the latter! Even with all the shading and highlighting, there's been a major change in her nose and jawline. Her forehead is as tight as a drum, so I'm guessing she has dabbled with Botox, too.
Shay Mitchell Before and After
Shay Mitchell in 2010 (left) and in 2019 (right).
Shay Mitchell in 2011 (left) and in 2018 (right).
When I started to research Shay's beauty evolution, I had no idea that the changes would be so dramatic when I put them side by side.
Yes, I believe that clever makeup techniques and a little weight loss were involved—but that's not all.
Like the overwhelming majority of celebs we've examined in the Before & After series, Shay appears to have undergone a rhinoplasty. Her nose, which was wider and flatter before, now has a narrower shape, a more refined tip and a built-up bridge. I do think it was good work (and in case you're wondering, this surgery is par for the course in Hollywood!).
There's also been a huge change in her jawline and chin area. I mean, she has no fat there whatsoever now! There is a procedure that can achieve this: submental liposuction! (This doctor describes it as "a powerful technique for sculpting the lower face.")
I also see evidence of a little filler in her upper lip (and in 2017, her cheeks), although she didn't go overboard and it has started to deflate. Even though she's only 31, she may well have done Botox, too, since her forehead is so incredibly smooth. And let's not forget the porcelain veneers on her teeth.
As for her eyes, she is rumoured to have undergone eyelid surgery, but I just don't know! In some shots, her eyes do seem less heavy-lidded, but given her penchant for false lashes, it's too hard to tell.
One thing is for certain: Shay looks NOTHING like she did a decade ago!
How do you feel about Shay's beauty evolution? Which of these looks is your favourite? What "beauty work" do you think she's had done?

This is the genius reason Meghan Markle always wears her hair in a low bun
http://fashion-trendin.com/this-is-the-genius-reason-meghan-markle-always-wears-her-hair-in-a-low-bun/
This is the genius reason Meghan Markle always wears her hair in a low bun
Meghan Markle never has so much as a hair out of place.
How? It’s all down to a clever hairstyling hack she swears by.
Eagle-eyed Markle fans may well have noticed that the new royal has a penchant for a low chignon hairstyle – and for very good reason.
According to Byrdie, Meghan favours a low bun look due its versatility. The website reports: “With a full schedule of day and night events, there can’t be much time for Meghan to perform a full hair wash and restyle in between. So, unlike a hair-denting ponytail or root-ruffling topknot, a low bun is like a form of damage control. Markle can wear one all day and then quickly unwind it — letting her loose waves fall beyond her shoulders, ready for the evening’s function.”
Genius, right?
Meghan Markle: Her gorgeous hair & makeup moments
We also recently discovered that Meghan has been doing her makeup herself.
Despite having the world’s best makeup artists on speed dial, Meghan has been opting to beautify herself… and this is why she’s quickly become our new favourite royal.
Speaking about her beauty look on her recent royal tour, her go-to makeup artist, Daniel Martin, said: “I didn’t [do the makeup] but she’s so good herself, right?” He also added: “She did her makeup herself for this.”
We couldn’t agree more.
Has Meghan Markle officially made her best friend her stylist?
So what ARE the secrets behind her royal glow? Read on…
We already know how she gets her pre-wedding skin glow thanks to her facialist, Sarah Chapman, and now we’ve got an insight into how Meghan Markle banishes her blackheads.
Sarah, founder of Sarah Chapman Skinesis, is the woman behind Meghan’s glowing skin – and she’s shared an insight into the skincare regime that keeps Megan looking glowy and youthful.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, she shared the simple regime that she follows when treating her client’s skin.
She said: “First wash your hands. Then begin by using a facial steamer to open the pores and prepare the skin – or have a bath or shower. Apply a balm cleanser like my Ultimate Cleanse to the whole face, using massage techniques to work it deeper into the skin, and then circle the blemish with the pads of your fingers to soften the blockage further.
“Apply a warm flannel to the affected area and start to apply gentle pressure with a wiggle to either side of the blemish, stopping immediately if you see any blood. It is important to always use your fingers and to avoid using your nails, as this can cause trauma to the skin.”
We will definitely be trying this at-home spa treatment to get rid of blackheads, beat large pores and give our skin that lit-from-within glow.
As well as discovering her skincare secrets, we were also given an insight into her makeup regime. For anyone hoping to get the glow, we have good news. According to fan site, Meghansfashion.com, Meghan used the £30 Becca Cosmetics’ Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter to get the look.
According to Cult Beauty, this creamy powder luminiser is like ‘crushed gemstones in a compact’ – ultra fine and virtually weightless, to blur imperfections and grant skin an enviable, lit-from-within glow.
You can use it to highlight the high points of your face, or as a ‘setting’ powder – dusted lightly on top of foundation to fix things in place and grant your complexion a subtle, ‘your skin but better’ effect.
If it’s good enough for Meghan…
We also recently discovered how Meghan keeps her brows in check, according to her brow stylist.
Sherrille Riley, of Nails & Brows Mayfair, has been looking after Meghan’s brows since last year, according to Mail Online. Luckily for us, she’s shared her top tips for on fleek eyebrows; the same tips she swears by for keeping Meghan’s brows looking fly.
First off, stop obsessing over symmetry. “It’s completely normal to have one arch higher than the other,” says Sherrille. “They’re not supposed to be the same; they’re sisters, not twins.”
Instead of trying to aim for something Mother Nature didn’t give you, Sherrille instead recommends following your natural shape and just adding a bit more colour and depth.
She then revealed Meghan’s preferred celebrity eyebrow inspired look – the Audrey brow, named after Audrey Hepburn.
“With the Audrey, I try to reduce the arch and create a straight look but make sure the ends are quite lifted and gradual all the way through, rather than a tick,” says Sherrille.
We can definitely see the resemblance!
Furthermore, about shapes, Sherrille believes that a high arch can make women look ‘angry’, so she encourages them to grow their brows in as they’re actually less high maintenance.
Lastly, a piece of advice we can all use – don’t overpluck them.
“Sometimes with over-plucking, the follicle gets disturbed or the hair doesn’t grow back as well. When I was 13 years old, I shaved my brows because I wanted them shaped but I didn’t know what I was doing. Eventually, I ended up with two half brows and they didn’t grow back properly also the hairs created shadow. That’s really where my obsession with brows came from because my own ones were a mess. Now, my mission is to educate women on what can be achieved and how.”
Meghan’s brows are definitely #goals, so it looks like Sherrille’s advice and treatment have paid off.
9 eyebrow products to help you nail a full, fluffy and fabulous look
Another thing that Meghan is renowned for in the beauty world is her gorgeous skin – and she actually swears by a budget beauty hero.
According to The Sun, Meghan can’t get enough of Nivea’s Skin Firming Hydration Body Lotion (also known as Nivea Q10 Plus Skin Firming Lotion in the UK).
Speaking to Beauty Banter, she said: “I use this religiously. It’s honestly my favorite lotion on the market, it’s so affordable, and makes my skin look and feel amazing.
“I would buy a case of this at a time if I could find it.”
So what’s all the fuss about? The brand say the lotion has been developed with CoEnzyme Q10, a natural component of your skin which actively works to keep it firm. The brand’s formulation apparently helps you enrich your skin’s natural level of CoEnzyme Q10, helping to revive and strengthen your skin’s ability to remain toned and supple. Well, if it’s good enough for Meghan…
Ever wanted to see Meghan doing her makeup in the back of a cab? Of course you have! A video went viral earlier this year which which according to GLAMOUR US is a partnership between Bobbi Brown Uber, and stars the former Suits actress as she effortlessly applies products from the Retouching range. Meghan explains that she’s on her way to a meeting about a new film as Suits is on hiatus.
Given that rumours about Harry and Meghan’s relationship began circulating at the end of 2016, it’s likely that she may have been dating, or about to start dating, the prince at the time.
Sat back in the seat of her Uber, Megan gushes over the dreamy products. And the finished look? This royal-to-be absolutely slays.
With the royal wedding coming up later this year and word on the street being that Meghan will be going for a ‘natural look’, I think we can safely say she can cancel the makeup artist!
You can watch the full video on Facebook.
It isn’t the first time we’ve got an insight into the bride-to-be’s beauty routine.
Meghan Markle’s former makeup artist revealed a few tidbits about her regime – and it’s shockingly simple.
Lydia F. Sellers, who was responsible for beautifying the royal for two years before she moved to the UK, divulged that the Suits star swears by one crucial beauty ritual.
The secret behind Meghan’s flawless look? The Armani Luminous Silk Foundation applied with a beauty blender.
Speaking to Refinery 29 about working with Prince Harry’s future wife, Lydia said: “Every time I’d do her makeup, she’d say, ‘Can we just make sure my freckles are peeking through? I don’t want a ton of foundation’.
“It was more about the amount of product that went on her skin and keeping it really fresh and dewy, rather than caking it on.”
As well as the cult foundation, which has an army of celebrity fans, Meghan swears by Touche Eclat by Yves St Laurent, which she claims makes her look “alive”, Diorshow Iconic mascara and Nars Orgasm blusher.

NBC host suggests it's 'challenging' to race slalom after you're married, seriously
Marriage: It'll affect your sporting performance.
Wait, what?
NBC commentator and former U.S. skier Bode Miller has apologised after foolishly suggesting an Olympian's marriage impacted her performance at the Winter Olympics.
SEE ALSO: Figure skating wins gold in the sexual tension Olympics
Speaking of Austrian skier and 2014 gold medallist Anna Veith during Wednesday's broadcast of the women's giant slalom, Miller discussed her changed performance (she finished 15th), saying it was "challenging to race ... with a family or being married."
I mean, he started by mentioning a legitimate hurdle to competition: Veith's ACL injury from 2016, before the World Cup season. But then, he truly divebombed.
"The knee is certainly an issue," he said. "I want to point out she also got married. And it’s historically very challenging to race on the World Cup with a family or being married. Not to blame the spouses, but I just want to toss it out there that it may be her husband’s fault."
If you need help taking that snow shoe out of your mouth, Miller, just holler.
According to NBC, Miller apologised on air immediately afterward, saying it was an “ill-advised attempt at a joke." Couldn't have put it better ourselves.
To be clear I was not seriously blaming Anna Veith's lack of results on her husband. It's a changing of priorities that is historically hard, male or female.
— Bode Miller (@MillerBode) February 15, 2018
“I do apologize,” he said on air. “I was an athlete that competed after marriage, and I know how beneficial it is. I know the support team you need. On Valentine’s Day, I did not mean to throw spouses under the bus, and I’m going to be hearing it from my wife, I know.”
And she won't be alone.
Getting married screws your ability to #slalom? "It might be the husband's fault." Seriously, WTF? @NBCOlympics @nbc #OlympicGames2018

10 Things I’m Most Proud of From 2017
In late October, I switched companies for a role that I literally wrote the job description for. In less than two months since I arrived, Aaptiv has seen close to 100 media mentions. These include brief mentions related to company culture in The Wall Street Journal and Entrepreneur, as well as deeper stories about the company’s vision and future in ZDNet, AlleyWatch, Mac Observer, Digital Trends, and on Cheddar. I’ve settled in faster and better than I ever could have imagined. Everyone is so darn smart at what they do.
Starting work at a fitness app ahead of the new year meant I entered right into sprint mode. There’s so much this company, and its trainers, can chime in on when it comes to helping people achieve their fitness goals. We have seen extraordinary coverage on the lifestyle side of Aaptiv in The Daily Mail, Women’s Health, and Byrdie. Our fitness trainers are at the heart of what we do and their wisdom will continue to carry us.
Near the beginning of the year, a TV producer in France reached out to Shutterstock about including a stock photographer within a segment about the gig economy. Over the course of six months, I managed that shoot from afar. When the segment finally aired in July, it was seen by millions and led to major business impact for the company across several metrics. During the process, and especially afterward, we identified a chance to nurse this kind of story for similar coverage in other regions. I led the charge in securing coverage in the US, US, UK, UK, UK, Canada, Canada, Canada, Australia, Lebanon, and a few more placements that haven’t seen the light of day yet, but I hold out hope will surface at some point.
Ahead of this year’s Oscars, I lined up a couple of high-profile pieces focused on a Shutterstock photographer covering the big event. But after the mayhem that ensued when the Best Picture award was given to the wrong party, I spotted a way to extend the life for Shutterstock coverage. In the days that followed the celebration, I got The Washington Post, Huffington Post, and Business Insider to interview a different Shutterstock photographer who inadvertently captured a moment people wouldn’t soon forget.
That work was squarely mine because I had recently been tasked with ‘owning’ the editorial beat, from a PR perspective, for the company. Later that Spring, I brought in a glowing Forbes story about Shutterstock’s emergence as a surprising star at the annual Met Gala. That was the anchor piece, but there was plenty more interest in this unexpected pairing: See Allure, Refinery29, The Independent, PopSugar, Fashionista, and Stuff New Zealand.
We discovered a recipe for success, to pitch around big awards ceremonies and other major editorial photography gatherings. When the executive team indicated that Germany was an important market to push more heavily into, I went out and got Germany. Back at home, a photographer appeared in the print edition of Real Simple and also dished about the Emmys later in the year; Fashion Week(s) was another mainstay for behind-the-scenes coverage; and, finally, we leant our advice about how everyone can pose more like a celebrity.
The other beat I owned for Shutterstock was Motion, representing the merging of music and video. A highlight came over the summer with a Bloomberg feature about the company’s Canadian acquisitions. It came shortly after a Guardian piece introduced the world to some talented stock musicians. And industry publications started to take note, too, of what was happening, lending stock music and stock video their moments to shine.
For a while, Shutterstock PR was able to boost some of the great products, technology, and features that the engineering team was hard at work on and unveiling. However, 2017 also opened up public access to the inside of the website, our so-called years-long tech transformation. The Wall Street Journal ran an executive profile of the vision and strategy, and we continued to beat that drum in other industry publications.
Recognizing there was a ton of confusion about and misunderstanding of how the stock imagery industry works, I sought to find ways to demystify the work and help clarify what really goes on. One of my favorite stories (ever) to work on was turning a writer into a stock model for a day. We also opened up about here all those weird, and politically-tinged, and futuristic, and even Bitcoin photos come from. In addition, we dealt seriously with the concept of what so-called fake news meant for the industry. Readers learned more about stock photography this year than they ever have before.
Over the summer, the “Distracted Boyfriend” meme distracted us all. I saw an opportunity, moved quickly, and landed a Shutterstock engineer an interview on Slate. Then, I found him an appearance in a video watched by 30,000 people. It was a silly meme, but also an unforgettable one in its broad appeal and application.
Best. Year. Ever.
