Reminder that Will's acceptance arc culminated with Jonathan and not Mike and also that scene already happened so to just repeat with Mike would not hit the same and so they can't. Leaving us only with closing the BIGGER arc with a LESS satisfying scene? I don't think so. This, the ending has to be different entirely.

Guys when was the moment in the show you first sensed Byler

For me it was way back in 2017 when they said Crazy Together I went okayy this could actually happen in a couple seasons and then the season 3 rain fight kind of confirmed it but it still just felt like a theory. And then in S4 when El said “Will is painting a lot I think there is someone he likes” I went BAM I WAS RIGHT

Anyway tell me the moments that made you start suspecting byler. What scene made it Cross your Mind?

I also really wanna know at what point the Duffers told the actors about byler like when exactly did they tell Noah Schnapp to start acting in love with Mike? 

Like at what point in filming did Noah Schnapp and Finn Wolfhard find out about it?

i love how mike and his deal with closets play such a big role in his queer-coding

we know that in queer media, closet imagery is often used for queer characters that haven't come out yet (eyewitness lucas to name a few) but personally, i find it cool how we can have multiple examples of the closet imagery that symbolize very different queer experiences 

for example, a character running into a closet for whatever reason symbolizing internalized homophobia (bonus points if its a high tension scene). or closet doors being wide open, probably symbolizing realization/acceptance.

and for this case, mike wheeler reading a rainbow covered letter in front of an OPEN closet, only to be shocked surprised and panicked in front of said closet with a one-way arrow pointing to the closet.

I was just sitting here like “aw Will and Mike are gonna get together after the buildup of season 4″ and then I was just struck with. No. They’re not. They are going to get together under COMPLETELY different circumstances brewed from sitting in pining for 3 years and all the more complications and effects that has. We aren’t just hitting pause for 3 years. We know the writers acknowledge the affects time has on situations like this.

They are going to get together in a BIGGER more OVERT and JUICIER way.

What I’m thinking about right now will one day be “imagine if they had gotten together then” as much as it is to imagine if they had gotten together between seasons 3 and 4. There’s a whole ‘nother section to the story that hasn’t been told yet. Not just resolution. More story. I’m so excited.
