Was watching a compilation of Lumax moments and forgot that in 4x06, Max did the Mike thing where she's depressed but she won't allow it in Lucas so when he's being a little too quietly she gently presses "hey, you okay?" and breaks him out of his thoughts.

Duffers!!! Make Mike get vecna’d, and my life is yours

Say Mike and Max are intentionally similar and paralleled (because of byler/lumax and because they are “same character different font”) and no one bats an eye. Say Mike and Max are intentionally similar and paralleled because they both get vecna’d, and suddenly it’s not fun anymore.

Not to mention Vecna lacking a left eye (in d&d, and eddie says so during s4 campaign), and mike having lots of imagery regarding his left eye (when talking about his (fake) headache in s1, you can see him rubbing/covering his left eye, his left eye is also shadowed a lot, specially during s4 (to see more of this, search for posts tagged #possesiongate) which also happened to Will in s2, when he was possessed).

+ the many references to michael myers (to the point where while max is having her Vecna vision at the cementery, there’s a grave that’s says “myers”)

I feel like as a byler we all have our favourites, some don't (good for them) but like we always have one of them in a special place of our heart, like "will is my baby" "Mike is my son" etc, I think that's completely fine, infact I think it's really cool, we all have different life experiences and perspectives of these characters and relate to some more than the other. I relate to both Mike and Will will ALOT these boys are literally me but in a different font. However, Will will always be my favourite character (Mike is a close second) because of my own personal experiences, i relate to Will alot more and understand his struggles very deeply. This does not mean that i 'don't like' Mike or something, he will always be one of my favourite characters and that will never change, his identity and struggles are as important as wills's and they are extremely valid, also i HEAVILY relate to him as well. So what I'm trying to say is that, you cannot be a byler if you hate any one of them, I've seen so many 'bylers' that are Mike stans and don't care about will, or are Will stans and don't care about Mike. If you're like that you are just that character's stan, you don't support byler.
