The amount of people in this fandom that either ignore or deny Larians mistreated of Wyll will never fail to frustrate me, He has the least amount of content BY FAR, he gets ignored in updates and instead astarion gets MORE and MORE, completely unnecessary attention, pointless things changed when they could be driving SOME attention to upgrading Wyll and his story and his interactions, his bugs etc, or giving him an ounce more content. Astarions plot has the least to do with the main plot of the game but he gets the most attention and content?? literally why, Wyll is far more important in the game than he is and he's like like 4 hours less content, thats insane. I love astarion, I find him compelling and interesting, he's probably most often in my party cause I find him so useful and entertaining, hes genuinely a fascinating character to me but I would rather him have less, other than bugs fixes why does he need more content, he has the most already. I've seen people literally mod astarion to have Wyll's romance animations (it was by the AA wives too but we dont need to talk about that) I've seen people project Wyll's personality and behaviour onto astarion. weird asf the lengths ppl will go to pretend their yt fav is like that when Wyll already has the personality they want. Its no coincidence that Wyll is the only black main character and the one that gets the least love from the developers- which leads to him getting even less love from fans than he already was going to get for not being a little yt man.

i have,,, so many,,, but one of my favs is that one of trucy's fav movies is The Parent Trap, but she's never seen it all the way through. she always falls asleep partway through, and has gotten as far as the return from the camping trip but has never seen past that somewhat related is that trucy and phoenix do in fact know annie and hallie's handshake/dance from the movie and can do it perfectly

i have! i've written a few fics (and an essay) for ace attorney, and more wips trapped in my gdocs. i think my best piece is my nightmare fic from nrmt week earlier this year! it was my first AA fic and i'm still very proud of it

idk how unpopular this is but i think bratfeen is cute in theory but would be an absolute train wreck in practice. both of them are at very unstable points in their lives, with feenie being incredibly emotional and reactive (as we saw in 3-1) and bratworth being so under mvk's thumb. it would very much be "unstoppable force meets unmovable object" in a way that would just end in disaster and heartbreak

finished ace attorney!!! thoughts under a read more because of spoilers and it got kinda long. only opinion i'll state here is that i enjoyed it a lot and i would recommend it to anyone slightly curious about it ❤

ended the trilogy with mia and gumshoe as my favs. mia was too cool to live and gumshoe is pookie no other explanations are needed for either of them

the music was so good!!!! i think the trial music for the first game was the best one by far, but some of the songs related to specific cases were incredible (shoutout to aa1 case 4, aa2 case 2 and aa3 case 1)

my favorite case absolutely was the fourth one in aa2, i didn't know a single thing about it. from the maya kidnapping, the involvement of a serial killer, phoenix losing his very first trial, being able to get a bad ending and obviously the matt engarde plot twist. i did genuinely think adrien was the culprit

related to the matt thing it was the one twist i was not expecting at all nor had spoiled, i mean at one point godot looked like the only culprit possible (and accidentally had it spoiled to myself. rip) and manfred von karma just looks guilty as hell. also his theme song slayed i was mad they reused it in aa3 for the trials and other moments. he did not summon a glass of brandy out of nowhere while in jail for you to do this to him!!!!

i still stand by what i said in an earlier post, the cases with a fey right in the middle of them were definitely the best ones. also i really liked how the third game was practically all about the clan, even the prosecutor introduced in it. it's good that miles got his own spinoff series because we cannot forget that the two protagonists in the aa trilogy are phoenix and maya (and by extension the feys) !!!! you think at first mia will be the deuteragonist but then it turns out it's actually her sister!!!! this is their world!!!! all miles got was one case and even the dl-6 incident was about maya and mia's mother!!!!

not a fan at all of the franziska whip thing. it got old really fast as well. i can excuse murder but i didn't find the whole hitting people with it thing funny or entertaining.....it bothered me to the point i couldn't stand her tbh. remake the entire trilogy without her hitting people with a whip and i'll stan

already said a negative thing above so i'll say another one now. the gumshoe shit salary thing got old extremely fast like by the third game it felt like he got reduced to only saying he can't pay the bills and how all he eats are instant noodles. no idea what happens in the investigations games but i hope miles gives him a huge raise or i will keep hoping gumshoe petrol bombs him!!!!

kinda related to the gumshoe thing since they are both comic relief characters but larry also got turned lowkey into a creep that both phoenix and edgeworth couldn't stand while in the first game phoenix literally describes him as a "likeable guy who has been my friend since grade school" and thinks of him as a "good guy at heart" (started the first trial for these two quotes alone) miles also never describes him as a bad person or even a loser, he's a bit too silly alright but that's it. justice for larry!!!!! the writers don't know shit!!!!!

a while ago i said mia was too hot to live (i stand by it) but now i can add to this that diego was also too hot to live (he technically didn't die but you know what i mean) had they both lived and continued dating they would have outslayed outserved outcunted every single attorney in whatever country the games takes place in i mean murder suspicions aside no wonder dahlia wanted them both dead

speaking of dahlia i mean yes i wanted mia to beat her ass in both of her trials but before finishing the final trial in the trilogy i replayed aa3 case1 and like. ok yeah dahlia was highkey a girlboss like come on she staged her death at 14, murdered her half sister, (almost) murdered a lawyer in the courtroom and quickly disposed of the poison, attempted to kill the PROTAGONIST, killed her ex, and as a literal ghost she tried killing maya???? shelly de killer wishes i'm not sorry

speaking of mr. diego armando/godot i do wish it had been foreshadowed even slightly in the previous games, i mean there is a huge chance they had not planned it that early on in the series but still you know. planting seeds here and there. maybe in grossberg's office or even in fey & co. wasn't grossberg involved in another case in aa2? was that the final case? i forgor but maybe show something in his office by then? considering from the morgan scene post case 2 they had already planned stuff for later idfk. the fact that maya knew of him but was never mentioned by her even in the third game feels weird

oldbag was the best witness character by far. missed opportunity to have her interact with larry on scren so they could both give edgeworth an aneurysm. wuved will powers too ❤ can't be a coincidence the two slayest mfs came from the same case (even though i consider it the weakest one in aa1)

aa1 case 5 despite the new features and fitting quite well despite having been added later wasn't that hot tbh. it felt too long and i couldn't really connect with ema and er. her sister i forgor her name. the damon gant reveal was obvious from the moment he popped up too. COME ON even his leitmotif was evil as hell. on the other hand it also was the case that made me realise how much i missed maya LMAO sorry ema but you will never be her. starr and jake slayed though

aa1 fucked severely, aa2 was kind of boring honestly i can only say i enjoyed the second and fourth cases. aa3 was really good, but even though i cried and everything i didn't think its final case was as good as the fourth cases in the previous two games. it started very well but it kinda lost me with the pendulum honestly. i can accept channeling the dead but i have my limits!!! i also felt that the final segment with maya and godot could have been done better, a lot of time got spent on the stupid ass pendulum, not enough time spent in the emotional beats

this is a thought i had yesterday but it made me laugh that both desiree delite and matt engarde are brunettes who wear red clothes and like riding motorcycles. also come on one is rich and the other likes spending money??? you would think desiree is actually a matt who escaped jail and started hrt so shelly de killer wouldn't find her #girlboss #dahliawishes

i thought the whole trilogy being in 2d fit the game really well, honestly i'm kind of worried re: apollo trilogy and tgaa because i know some of it is in 3d but somehow i don't think it fits the style? also this is stupid maybe but i like how the only people that are voiced are the attorneys saying "objection" or "take that" or "hold it" in court, idk if they are voiced in the other games or not but i'd fear that. giving them enough time to speak and hear their accents would ruin the experience for me SJFLSDJKFJSDKL

i liked that the final scene of the game was with pearl and maya, in case you haven't realized it yet this is the phoenix and feys trilogy!!!

ok i was finishing this and i realized i had not talked about the gay lawyers at all. i see it and everything but also i think phoenix could do better. all in all it was gay but nothing that drove me insane playing the games (phoenix becoming a lawyer "to save him" was homosexual activity through and through though. same with the "unnecessary feelings" line

final thoughts: the feys would survive succession but not a single roy would survive ace attorney. also i hope aa7 is about ami fey's spirit getting revenge for the amount of times her urn got broken

oh i see !! but i am happy for you!! tbh getting potg with d.va is always v satisfying to me every time 🫶 also glad u befriended the other d.va that's so funny and nice aa but my fav part of overwatch is getting to play the different characters and using the different abilities it's been very enjoyable! also i love the arcade games a lot i do gravitate towards those a lot for some reason 😭 but in general gameplay wise it is very entertaining and good and i feel like i could be playing it for hours! i've been wanting to get into a game like this for a while! i did try to get into valorant but my pc at the time could not handle the game (it was pretty old) also i changed to mac so obviously i can't play it but i do love that game a lot since i watch a lot of videos of it and know so many things abt it and since it's overwatch is pretty similar to valorant i knew i would like it! i don't really have a comparison bc i never actually played valorant but yknow i think i can confidently say that probably overwatch was the ideal game for me bc it's pretty easy to learn and to get addicted to as a new player so i am genuinely glad that i started with this game! but all of this to say djhgjd that my fav part is pretty much the characters and they have their back story and how their abilities are connected to their back story too and etc and you can see it in game too it's pretty cool to me

LMAO i could go on and on honestly… i’ve been thinking about my favorite underappreciated characters quite a lot recently. AA Siblings Week is coming up this month and i want to spread some love to the most obscure characters i can think of (i’m coming for you, the Skulkin brothers). i’ve already done my Viola Cadaverini character study (that girl has some trauma), and i have some wips focusing on Lotta Hart, Moe Curls, Venus DGS2, and Misty Fey (who, for being so plot-relevant, is tragically under-explored).

there are a lot of TMNT characters i think are underrated too.. i really like a lot of the one-off characters in 03. Angel, Nano, Quarry, and Mrs Morrison (of course!) are particular favs of mine, and Teela’s fics have converted me into a Renet enjoyer as well! she is so silly and i may or may not be working on a little oneshot about her, but you didn’t hear that from me! there are a lot of IDW characters that have me hooked too. i am having FEELINGS about Karai, she’s already such a fun villain to throw into the mix but her comic characterization is just. OUGHOUGJ. i like her a lot. she’s so calculatingly ambitious yet her loyalty to the Foot is so emotional in nature, i’m really excited to see how she reacts upon realizing her best will never be enough to please the Shredder. i’m not far enough into the comics yet to do much except theorize, but, oof…. i like the direction she’s heading 👀

I'm asking you this 'cause you are one of my fav writers on this app and I'm too embarrassed to come off anon.

I used to be confident in my writing a year ago. The words used to flow into my head freely as I write and not even once I felt like it was a chore to me. I didn't doubt or fuss over stuff I write until one day I got criticized very badly. I received a huge feedback on how much my writing sucked (literally a page).

Now, every time I sit to write stuff i love, i fall into the pit hole of self doubts and start to loathe the style of my writing.

I know it sounds pathetic that one bad criticism has changed my mindset. And, writing stuff is my only outlet....

Today, I run a small blog on this app and so far the response for the stuff i write is so positive yet I can't shake away this insecurity and it is starting to take a toll on me.

How do I overcome this? I would appreciate any tips on getting better at writing and finding a unique writing style. Please ignore this ask if it makes you uncomfy tho. Again, I'm so sorry if I troubled you.

aa… i'm really sorry to hear that this happened to you, unsolicited criticism can already be discouraging, but that sounds infinitely worse ?? i don't think you sound pathetic, it's pretty natural for people to remember negative experiences over positive ones. it just sticks in the brain longer. i'm a pretty sensitive person myself so i can see where you're coming from. i think one of the things that's helped me a lot is basically going 'so what lol' whenever i'm confronted with stuff like that. we're writing self-indulgent stories for fun (and free!), it doesn't need to be this generation's war and peace. it's okay for your work to be 'messy'. writing is like any other hobby, what matters more is enjoying the creating process rather than arriving at a super polished piece that's-100%-without-flaw-god-tier-ready-to-be-accepted-in-the-canon-of-the-bible level stuff. there's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting what you work on to be good, i absolutely strive for that myself, but when it feels more like a chore and i'm agonizing over it, i take a step back.

i didn't feel right giving you a watchmojo top ten tips to improve your writing reply in response to this. i was too busy going >:( at the thought of an absolute troglodyte thinking their silly one page of feedback that no one asked for was warranted. like. the world is on fire. we're seeing a surge in cash grabs that have absolutely zero soul behind them. creativity is constantly shoved to the side for a quick buck (hbo max flipping off their animators, ZA/UM booting the minds behind disco elysium who spent literal decades working on the game, the list could go on forever). create what you want and what you love, if someone tries to come @ you with rude feedback, that's cringe. 'you forgot to collect the homework' type energy. zero bitches. lame. zzzzzz.

all this to say . i want to encourage you to not feel burdened that you need to improve your writing PRONTO, because if that's hovering over you, it'll sap away your joy while writing. the thought alone makes me sad. there is no person on the planet who has experienced the exact set of circumstances that you have, meaning you have something to contribute that's entirely unique to you. you can describe things in ways people could never think to because they aren't you, you can infuse your distinct personality into your work, create something from nothing. you already have your own unique writing style; everyone does.
