For all the hate I give Bethesda, I do genuinely enjoy 3 (and parts of 4) for what they are. They just kinda exist off in a corner I think of as Fallout Land™️, which is a fun place I can take a 60+ hour vacation to occasionally, but doesn’t have any actual bearing on the wider lore.
#fallout#East coast fallout is like. Soap opera fallout to me#it’s fun and zany and over the top kind of like a funhouse mirror reflection of the setting#and none of it feels real precisely#but you find yourself drawn in nonetheless#by both the schlock and the rare moments of genuine brilliance
