I feel like airports should have free gyms with little shower areas. I would love nothing more then to do a little workout for awhile waiting for my flight so that I can sleep on the flight. The post workout nap would hit so hard

for ages, i’ve wondered why it’s damn near impossible to book a direct flight from Seattle to Reagan Airport in Washington DC
like, Dulles and Baltimore are both perfectly fine airports, but they are far from the city center, and the public transit options from there to the heart of DC suck ass, so i always end up paying some cab driver way too fucking much to get there
compare that to Reagan, which is right on the subway!!!  the dream!!!!  PLEASE let me pay more so i can get on a flight that ends there!!!!
well, turns out, the answer is: there is a federal law (???) prohibiting any flight over 1,250 miles for flying from/to Reagan Airport
(though from time to time they add “exceptions”, which may or may not be motivated by things like “congressperson wants a shorter goddamn commute & trades some favors to get it” lol. the total # of exceptions right now is 40 per day)
apparently this law was originally enacted to prop up Dulles Airport, because they were like “oh wah, no one is taking our flights anymore now that the subway goes to Regan, plz congress help us”
(the bastards!!!  the little fuckers!!!)
anyway, apparently last month some representative finally introduced some legislation to kill this and unsurprisingly it’s a representative from Utah lol.  i get it dude, i support your dream of Not Going To Fucking Dulles Or BWI Every Week

From Broadway to Beaches: Navigating Flights Between Los Angeles and Washington DC
Planning a trip can often be a stressful experience, especially when you're searching for last-minute flights. Whether you're headed to the sunny streets of Los Angeles or the historic landmarks of Washington DC, finding the best deals on flight tickets is essential. In this guide, we’ll walk you through tips, tricks, and insights to help you book flights to Los Angeles or Washington DC without breaking the bank.
Last-Minute Flights to Los Angeles:
Los Angeles, the city of dreams, is a popular destination for both tourists and business travelers. But what happens when you need to book a flight at the eleventh hour? Last-minute flights to Los Angeles can be pricey, but with a few strategic moves, you can still snag a good deal.
Initially, being flexible with your travel dates is important. Prices for flights to Los Angeles can vary significantly depending on the day of the week, time of year, and even the time of day. Midweek flights tend to be cheaper than those on weekends, and flying early in the morning or late at night can also save you money.
Another tip for booking last-minute flights to Los Angeles is to consider nearby airports. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the main hub, but there are other options like Bob Hope Airport in Burbank or Long Beach Airport. Flying into one of these smaller airports can sometimes offer lower fares and shorter security lines.
 Cheap Flights to Washington DC:
Washington DC, the nation’s capital, is a treasure trove of history, politics, and culture. Whether you're visiting for a quick getaway or a business meeting, finding cheap flights to Washington DC can make your trip more affordable.
As with flights to Los Angeles, flexibility is key when searching for cheap flights to Washington DC. Try to avoid peak travel times, such as holidays and major events in the city. Booking your flight several weeks in advance can also help you lock in lower prices.
Flight comparison websites are your best friends when it comes to finding affordable airfare. Use these platforms to compare flights to Washington DC from different airlines and booking sites. Don’t forget to check out budget airlines, as they often offer lower prices than major carriers.
If you're really looking to save, consider flying into alternative airports near Washington DC. In addition to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), you might find better deals by flying into Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) or Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). These airports are just a short drive or train ride away from the city center.
Comparing Flights:Los Angeles vs. Washington DC
When it comes to comparing flights to Los Angeles and Washington DC, there are a few factors to keep in mind. Both cities are major travel hubs, which means you’ll find plenty of flight options from various airlines. However, the cost of flights can vary depending on your departure city, the time of year, and how far in advance you book.
For those looking to book flights to Los Angeles, you might find that prices are generally higher compared to Washington DC, especially during the peak tourist season (June to August). On the other hand, Washington DC tends to see higher prices during the spring, particularly around the Cherry Blossom Festival in April.
Using flight comparison tools is essential for both destinations. These tools allow you to filter your search based on price, airline, and even layover times. Additionally, consider signing up for airline newsletters or frequent flier programs, which can offer exclusive discounts and promotions on flights to both Los Angeles and Washington DC.
Final Tips for Booking Flights:
Whether you're searching for last-minute flights to Los Angeles or cheap flights to Washington DC, the key is to be flexible, use comparison tools, and consider alternative airports. With these strategies, you can find the best deals and make your trip more enjoyable without overspending. So, the next time you're planning to book flights to Los Angeles or Washington DC, keep these tips in mind and get ready to explore these incredible cities. Safe travels!
