The 18 Buzziest Films for Sale at TIFF 2024
Mike Flanagan’s “Life of Chuck,” Angelina Jolie’s “Without Blood” and Ron Howard’s “Eden” are all looking for buyers in Toronto
While the Toronto International Film Festival won’t officially launch a sales market until 2026, this year kicks off on Thursday with multiple buzzy titles for sale starring the likes of Ben Stiller, Sydney Sweeney, Jude Law and Tom Hiddleston.
Hollywood descends upon the Canadian metropolis for starry world premieres and the unofficial start of awards season. But for years now TIFF has also been a place of serious business. Last year the Glen Powell rom-com “Hit Man” sold to Netflix for $20 million at the festival after a raucous screening.
“They’ve very much shaped this festival with a sales environment in mind,” Intrepid Pictures CEO Trevor Macy told TheWrap as he prepared to head to TIFF with the Hiddleston-fronted Stephen King adaptation “The Life of Chuck,” from writer/director Mike Flanagan. “It seems like buyers are showing up in force.”
And to prove his point, Sony Classics scooped up “Jane Austen Ruined My Life” on Tuesday ahead of the festival.
Over 270 films are on the market this year, and Macy said that the demand “for strong titles in this moment of the market is going to exceed the supply of what good distributors have made internally.” He pointed to the success of Neon’s “Longlegs” this summer — the Nicolas Cage horror film grossed over $100 million off a strong marketing campaign — as an indie that connected with moviegoers theatrically.
But Jay Cohen, a partner at Gersh who heads film financing and is selling titles at the festival, cautioned that studios may only be looking to buy must-have titles, not filling out their slates. “There are really interesting films going to TIFF, but distributors already have pretty full slates,” he told TheWrap. “So the market will be driven more by passion less than need.”
Which means that only top quality films with identifiable audiences will attract buyers. Still, one agent noted that many of the buzziest sales titles, while officially unsold, already have distribution deals that have not been announced.
Macy and Intrepid are aiming to utilize what TIFF brings to the table — specifically when it comes to audiences — to find the right distributor for “The Life of Chuck,” which is a detour for horror filmmaker Flanagan, best known for “The Haunting” series on Netflix and the “Shining” sequel film “Doctor Sleep.” The new film is more “Stand by Me” than “The Shining,” and buyers haven’t prescreened it at all, so they will be seeing it for the first time at its world premiere in Toronto.
“From the time we made this movie, our first choice was Toronto because of the audience,” Macy said of the decision to debut at TIFF. “Our movie is fun and life-affirming but kind of sophisticated, so you want the right audience for that.” He and Flanagan had success a decade ago with the indie horror film “Oculus,” which found a buyer in Toronto and grossed over $44 million against a budget of just $5 million. It jumpstarted Flanagan’s career.
Will “The Life of Chuck” have the same success? Here’s TheWrap’s rundown of that and 17 of the other buzziest sales titles playing at TIFF this year.
Nutcrackers • Eden • The Life of Chuck • The Deb • Without Blood • On Swift Horses • The Last Showgirl • K-Pops • Daniela Forever • All Of You • Ick • Relay • The Friend • The Last Republican • Vice Is Broke • From Ground Zero • The Assessment

I gotta disagree, The competition for Wonka was not high at all when you factor in who the audience is (mostly kids). The only competition it has is Migration (I know you mentioned Wish, but that had an earlier release and kids aren't going to see the Color Purple and Aquaman too is a bit too mature for younger audiences) which is also doing fairly well. December is not a difficult month to succeed in at all - kids are off of school, which means that the potential for kids movies in particular to break out is sky high. Throw in Paul King and the holiday theme, and it making money shouldn't be a surprise.
Also, I just don't buy that any young actor is a significant draw without an IP. Unpopular opinion maybe, but I think Zendaya is the closest to being a legitimate draw WITHOUT an IP. We've already seen her success with Euphoria, which is an original(ish, since it was adapted but from a very unknown show) property. Things like Wonka and Uncharted are good vehicles to use as claims that actors like Timothee and Tom are box office draws, but those are characters and properties that already had fanbases.
It's interesting that Tom essentially was the first of his generation to reach that box office milestone (and tbh it was impressive, because fans and critics were against that film but it still succeeded despite that - in context that is a pretty large indicator that he marketed it so well that people came for him), but you have analysts now forgetting that accomplishment or minimizing it. The same will happen with Timmy once his movies are released and there's a gap in between his released projects, and someone else will pop up to get the hype. I feel like people just want there to be 'one' actor who is 'the' box office draw of their generation, but the truth is that there will be several, because it would be so boring with just one! I bet Paul Mescal will have a similar moment with Gladiator, which might be a similar thing with an IP getting him some good momentum. Austin I don't doubt will find the same. Hoping a POC actor gets to because it is honestly so frustrating that the leading actors right now are white for such a young generation.
But yeah this might be an unpopular opinion but it's very interesting to me how these studios and actor's agents are putting them in IP films to boost their box office cred, but put them in an original project and how much money will they bring in? It's depressing in a way bc studios are leaning away from original projects because they make less money, but original projects are so much more interesting at times. That being said, I know TDATT and TCR pulled great streaming numbers but it's hard to get a box office equivalent. That's why I'm so excited for Zendaya and I really hope Challengers does well, because that will make a really unique accomplishment that none of her peers have gotten to yet - her being a draw in both IP and original properties. I don't want to speak too soon but I really feel like especially seeing Sydney's movie having success, Challengers could be huge for its genre for Z.
Whew girl...this was a LOT!
Anyway.... I'll try not to be too lengthy in my response... But here it goes... I know it's a kid's movie, but I think we need to also realize that NOT all kid's movies do well at the box office lol. 😅 I think people forget that. Especially if it doesn't have the studio DISNEY attached to it. Let's be real. Yea, "Wish" came out earlier, but it was still out around the same time that "Wonka" came out, and also "Migration". People had OPTIONS. Parents didn't HAVE to take their children to see "Wonka". Yea, it's a kid's movie, but parents still gotta wanna be interested too lol. 😅
RE: Zendaya... Zendaya has been in IP films before (i.e. Spider-Man), but "Challengers" will be the FIRST film where she's playing a LEAD role, and the film has nothing to do with a popular IP (or sequel). So, I'm really excited about how it's going to do! 😃 I honestly think the film will do better than most people expect? Given how well Sydney and Glen's rom-com is doing, I think Zendaya's film will be a good box office draw as well. Zendaya is SUPER huge and popular. Like, I think it's good to take that into consideration as well. She's a bigger name than most of the other actors you have mentioned in your post.
Some people have films do well box-office wise simply because they're SOOOO famous and everyone loves them to death, so people will support whatever they do. There's nothing wrong with that either! I'm actually more impressed with those who can be a box office draw even despite not being hugely famous or popular, but simply because the film was a GOOD and well-made film, and people just liked the actor in the role, even if they don't really know them all that well. To me, those successes are really like, wow.... Okay... You're really doing something here.
Lastly...... Look, I know some of you all hate Timmy in here, but I don't think we need to UNDERmine the success of the "Wonka" movie y'all lol.... 😅 It's doing really well! I don't see anything wrong with that.... It was always going to be a film that came out around Christmas.🤷🏾♀️

Episode 9-Memento Mori
the Rossi centric episode, which I have less excitement for. Here are my thoughts
caution: spoilers below
“January 2022″. So there’s a flashback, but who is it about?
Oh shit? Is this Krystal’s funeral?
Emily comforting Rossi
Rossi not being there in Krystal’s final moments and Emily giving him a hug
Ironic how we get some genuine bonding moments and it’s in a flashback and after a funeral
....cut to the present and now in color, with Rossi looking at Elias’ family
Sydney asking Rossi what’s going on, if only she knew her husband is a serial killer
Rossi showing Sydney the cctv footage of Elias, only to get a call from him
Elias asking Sydney about Rossi in the security camera and her telling him that an FBI Agent is at their house
Elias remembering that name cause he read one of Rossi’s books. Him being a manipulative liar and convincing Sydney that Rossi is dangerous and is after her cause he “quit” his job, and the fact that they made Rossi look creepy in this scene doesn’t help
So Rossi tells Emily that Elias Voit is Sicarius despite lack of evidence and compliance from Sydney
Tbh, Ramona looks more like JJ than Sydney but okay
at least I know Tara and Garcia are also in this episode
so Rossi is at the Seattle Field Office
yay, so the team all appears in this episode, thank god
all of them going through Elias’ personal information and that he and Sydney are married for 15 years before his first kill
Emily and Tara visiting the AG and trying to convince her to reopen the Sicarius case after Rossi tries to convince them that Elias Voit is Sicarius
Oh shit, Elias seeing Rossi at the Seattle Field Office
“May 2022″ another flashback scene, and Tara is there...
oh look, Rebecca is there.....is this how they first met? Will she appear in the present day scenes?
Rebecca’s previous spouse was a drunk?
aww, the first glances....if only episode 6 didn’t happen
Tara’s first Al-Anon and it’s how she and Rebecca first met
aww, they had a coffee date
.....and back to the present, with Emily presenting the case to the AG about Elias Voit possibly being Sicarius
Rebecca agreeing with Emily and Tara, I’m surprised she did that considering where she and Tara left off. Though I assume there’s the whole “I’m not doing this for you...” schtick after this
The AG reluctantly gives the BAU the green light, but gives them 48 hours and they’re on a short leash, which isn’t good for the BAU
The team owes Rebecca big time, especially Tara
Rebecca turning down Tara’s coffee date....cause she got a job at the Sacramento office. Dammit writers, how dare you keep trying to break them apart
sadly, can’t blame her for wanting to take the job considering how the Silvio Herrera case affected her career at the DOJ
Tara feeling bad and saying “I miss you” hurts more than it should
“Goodbye Tara.”..........I just want to give Tara a hug, she’s alone again
Elias is so smart and well prepared to have confidence being at the field office and talking to Rossi
Elias telling Rossi that he read all of his books, is that his way of saying that he knows “everything” about him and what he does?
Elias turning the tables against Rossi, lying to him that he reads true crime and doesn’t live it. Being fully aware how he profiles people by monitoring his body language and expressions.
Elias denying that he knows who Cyrus is
Not Elias asking Rossi if he had lost his first wife and badge while pursuing “Mr. Acid Guy.” Possible foreshadowing based on the photos
Is it true Elias has friends in government jobs? Does that explain how he’s able to reach out to Benjamin and why he’s always a few steps ahead of the BAU?
Is he trying to get a rise out of Rossi by asking him if he went off the distance chasing an unsub?
Elias giving Rossi all his devices and letting him go through them, which which shows how he’s clearly prepared and erased anything that could potentially track him and buying himself an alibi that could fool others
Ramona won’t cooperate, and oh shit, not Garcia suggesting Tyler Green can cooperate. This is gonna go well.....
I was so repulsed by Tyler’s appearance that I didn’t even notice Will was in the elevator as him 😂
Thank god Will prevented a cringy Greencia moment, but why is he here and what does his presence mean?
Will volunteering to look at a cold case involving Green’s sister?
Why is Tyler lying that he doesn’t see the unsub? Did Elias do something to him? Is he working for Elias? Is he gonna take matters into his own hands cause he doesn’t trust that the BAU will stop him?
Luke being suspicious when Tyler says he didn’t see him, all cause Tyler said “sorry”
Garcia telling Tyler to look her in the eye and not lie, except he still lied to her
Not Tyler holding Garcia’s hand and telling her to call him. Is someone watching them?
Damn, I thought there was gonna be another flashback but I guess not
Sydney not taking anymore shit from Elias and demanding answers
Elias being a manipulative liar again
pretty scary how Sydney was able to buy into Elias’ lies like that
Garcia leaving a voicemail for Rossi, she knows Tyler is hiding something from her
Not Tyler tracking the voicemail and flying to Seattle
“May 2006″ Goddammit, I want a flashback of another BAU member not Tyler
Wait, is Tyler also at the grocery store where Sydney is
Sydney is me grocery shopping when prices are low during the pandemic. Her grabbing the wine is also a mood and something she really needs
Oh shit, not Rossi finding her
Rossi telling Sydney about her rough childhood
Not Rossi telling Sydney that her husband is a serial killer and him telling her to let him prove it to her goes exactly how it’s expected
Elias recording Rossi and tarnishing his image, the AG being angry at that and Rebecca suggesting that Rossi is pulled out of the field
Honestly, Rossi should have retired but this is sad
Emily having no choice but to say “yes ma’am”
Garcia trying to reach Tyler but no answer and Luke mocking her, I love it
Finally, Luke knows something is wrong and he and Garcia having to talk
“...he is so marvelous in bed.” Bitch, Tyler is still a material witness
Luke being rightfully angry at Garcia is satisfying to watch
JJ being common sense makes sense cause she would tell Emily what happened, Tara having her heart broken and Rossi
Luke being grossed out by Greecia sex is a mood
Luke did have a point saying how messy it’ll be seeing the kind of person Tyler is and all of Garcia’s previous love interests
Garcia is acting like she didn’t regret what she did, she should still be ashamed of herself
Rossi arriving outside Elias’ house and seeing Prentiss’ text, he doesn’t look like he has any regrets
Elias inviting Rossi to his house
Rossi breaks Elias by bringing up Cyrus
“devolution”, seems like Rossi and Garcia are devolving more than Elias has
Elias being able to overpower Rossi, goes exactly how it’s expected and ends with Rossi being knocked out
“August 2012″ a flashback to Elias and his family
Oh shit, Tyler is watching Elias go into his car
The team learning that Rossi was last seen at Elias’ house
Oooo, Garcia accidentally revealing the voicemail in front of the rest of the team. Who’s the jerkface now?
Emily concealing her anger and disappointment from Garcia and having her go into the field with JJ and Luke
Elias saying he was up for a challenge
Tyler attempting to shoot Elias, yea this won’t end well for Tyler
How is he so careful though
Aww, Will’s first time on the jet
So Tyler is tracking Rossi’s phone
Garcia mocking herself for falling for guys like Tyler Green, hate to say that she brought this on herself
I liked Luke giving her a pat on the back though
The team deciding to track Tyler’s phone
“it’s over.” Is she talking about her career or her relationship with Tyler? Possibly both?
Elias taking Rossi to the first shipping container
Tyler found Elias and aiming his gun at Rossi, yea he’s a goner
....and he’s dead, not surprised
“February 2020″ Oh my god oh my god, the garvez date
....well this is disappointing
“right person.” Bitch, it’s each other wtf
They found Tyler’s dead body
aww Rebecca is holding Tara’s hand
oh shit, Elias livestreaming Rossi’s captivity to the BAU and threatening to kill Rossi if they don’t let him go
a callback to 16x05 where the Emily helplessly watches a fellow team member in danger and the camera goes to static
Overall, I’d give this a 7/10. I’m surprised that this episode is not as bad as I’d thought it would be, seeing how the photos and synopsis made it seem like it’s 100% Rossi centric but I’m glad to see some more moments of the rest of the characters. That said, I do have some issues like the flashback scenes, like why cram them all in in one episode when you had all of the previous episodes to do so. The garvez date is also underwhelming and disappointing, though I haven’t completely given up on them as obviously Luke and Garcia need more time to work things out only for the pandemic to happen, plus Garcia’s commitment issues which is why she ends up with guys like Tyler when Luke is a much healthier option for her. Seeing Rebecca hold hands with Tara gives a little glimpse of hope for them. I hate seeing how pathetic and reckless Rossi is and I’ll be damned if he still decides to stick around in the BAU after this

Tips For Selecting The Right Real Estate Agent
Property buyers should do their research before buying a property. Valuation expert Sydney inner west may make impressive sales pitches, but misinformation is common in the real estate market. Do not believe your agent when they tell you something. Ask about current prices and increases over the past few years.

UK Property Predictions For 2023 – Where Is The Housing And Rental Market Going?
With some forecasters warning of somewhere between a depression and Armageddon, here are my thoughts on the UK housing market.
For more great tips and money-making ideas and coaching offers see Master Your Money the S.M.A.R.T Way training. Check it out for free - https://bit.ly/3isugCr.
The UK housing market will shrink - but not necessarily crash - next year, industry experts agree, as the government fights recession and higher mortgage rates.
House prices have been dropping month-on-month with average prices down 2.3% in November from October – the most since the start of the financial crash in 2008 – according to Halifax.
Price growth will decline in 2023 as soaring inflation hits the economy and forces interest rates up.
As the downturn intensifies, housing indicators are showing red with rates expected to go even higher and the UK goes into a long recession.
The Bank of England is expected to raise interest rates into 2023 from 3.5% now to 4.75%, but there are signs that the rate of inflation is slowing.
Higher interest rates will hit buy-to-let landlords and investors, as deals fail to stack up.
Move from cities to the country is slowing, as more people move back to the office.
Property experts forecast property price declines of 5% - 12% next year, although some warn of a crash by 15% to 20%.
Mortgage rates have since fallen back since the disastrous mini-budget in September to an average five-year fix at 5.6% according to Moneyfacts – still far higher than a year ago.
UK mortgage lenders expect to lend 23% less to homebuyers in 2023 following a two-year boom.
UK Finance forecast gross mortgage lending for house purchases to decline to £131bn in 2023 from £171bn in 2022 and a peak of £189bn in 2021.
Leading UK lenders have met with government officials to discuss measures to ease the burden on around 90,000 people in mortgage arrears, the FT reports.
Property sales are set to drop to 1.01m next year from 1.27m in 2022.
Savills warns of a severe drop in transactions, to 870,000, and a 10% fall in house prices in 2023.
Estate agents Jones Lang LaSalle forecasts a 6% drop in house prices next year.
Both firms expect a 1% price growth in 2024, as interest rates fall back and inflation cools.
The Nationwide expects a “modest decline” or “soft landing” in house prices next year, but lenders seldom talk of a property crash. The lender said 85% of mortgage balances are currently on fixed interest rates.
The Bank of England said 4m households face higher mortgage payments next year.
Typical payments could rise by £250 to £1,000 a month causing severe financial difficulties for 220,000 households.
Capital Economics’ central forecast is for house prices to fall by 12% by the end of 2023, but Andrew Wishart, senior economist at the consultancy, said in a worst-case scenario prices could plummet by up to 20%. “The initial drop in house prices has been sharper than in the financial crisis or the early 90s, “For affordability to return to a sustainable level by the end of 2023, when we think mortgage rates will still be around 5%, the average house price would have to drop by 20%.
On the other hand, were market and mortgage interest rates to drop faster than we expect, that would limit the fall in prices.”
Rent prices have surged to record levels due to a shortage of properties to rent and growing demand, as well as a slowing buy-to-let market and many first-time buyers are opting to rent in the hope of lower mortgage rates in 2023/24. Some 85,000 landlords have quit the buy-to-let market in the last 5 years.
See my Money Tips Podcast video - https://youtu.be/NME3nEu8dAQ
UK private rents jumped by 4% in November, the highest since records began in 2016, official figures showed.
Savills forecasts rental growth rising to 6.5% before slowing to 4% in 2024.
Globally, many markets seem overheated and, in a bubble, – Sydney and Auckland for instance.
China’s property market boom appears to be over with a 20% decline.
In my next episode, I will be talking to one of Toronto’s leading realtors about his housing predictions for 2023.
As with all economic forecasts, much depends on government action and the prevailing winds of the economy, but more rests on your action in your U’conomy!

The Advantages of Using a Buyer's Agent for Your Next Property Investment
As a potential property investor, you may be wondering whether or not you need a buyer's agent to help you navigate the real estate market. After all, you could always go it alone and try to find properties on your own, but there are a number of advantages to working with a professional buyer's agent that may make it well worth your while.
First and foremost, a buyer's agent is an expert in the local real estate market. They know the ins and outs of the area where you're looking to invest, from the best neighborhoods to the most desirable properties. This can give you a significant advantage over someone who is trying to navigate the market on their own, as you'll have access to information and insight that you might not otherwise be able to find.
Another major advantage of working with a buyer's agent is that they can help you to find properties that are off-market or not yet listed. This can be a huge advantage, as it allows you to get in on a property before it becomes highly sought-after and the price starts to go up.
A buyer's agent can also help you to negotiate the best possible price for a property. They'll be able to use their expertise and knowledge of the market to help you get a better deal, whether you're buying a home or an investment property.
Finally, a buyer's agent can help to take some of the stress and uncertainty out of the property buying process. They'll be able to guide you through the process, answer any questions you may have, and help you to make informed decisions that will benefit you in the long run.
All of these advantages make it clear that working with a buyer's agent can be a smart move for anyone who is looking to invest in property. By having a professional on your side, you can increase your chances of finding the perfect property at the perfect price, and minimize the risk of making a costly mistake.
In conclusion, if you're considering investing in property, it's definitely worth considering working with a buyer's agent. They can provide you with valuable market insights, access to off-market properties, help with negotiations and take off some of the stress and uncertainty out of the process. With the right buyer's agent by your side, you'll be able to make smart and informed decisions that will benefit you in the long run.

Unlocking the Power of an Investment-Property-Buyer's Agent in Sydney
Investing in property is one of the most effective ways to build wealth and secure your financial future. But finding the perfect investment property, especially in a competitive market like Sydney, can be a daunting task. That’s where an investment property buyer’s agent comes in. A buyer's agent is an expert who works solely on behalf of the buyer, helping you make smart investment decisions. For those considering Sydney’s bustling property market, Property Indepth offers tailored services that guide you every step of the way.
What is an Investment Property Buyer’s Agent?
An investment property buyer’s agent is a real estate professional who focuses on finding, evaluating, and negotiating properties specifically for investment purposes. Unlike a regular agent who represents sellers, an investment buyers agent works exclusively for you, the buyer. They help you make well-informed decisions based on current market data, trends, and the unique characteristics of Sydney’s property landscape.
At Property Indepth, our buyer’s agents are experts in identifying investment property Sydney options that match your goals, whether it’s a property with high rental yield, future growth potential, or both.
Why Invest in Sydney Property?
Sydney is one of Australia’s most popular cities for property investment, and for good reason. Known for its thriving economy, strong job market, and attractive lifestyle, Sydney draws people from all over the world, keeping demand for housing high. This demand makes investment property Sydney an attractive choice, with a range of opportunities for both new and seasoned investors.
However, competition for quality properties can be fierce. That’s where an experienced investment buyers agent like Property Indepth can make all the difference, providing valuable insights and negotiating on your behalf to secure the best property for your investment goals.
How a Buyer’s Agent Adds Value to Your Investment Journey
Here’s how an investment property buyer’s agent can help you get the best value from your investment in Sydney:
Market Knowledge and Insights An investment property buyer’s agent brings in-depth knowledge of Sydney’s property market, including trends, property values, and high-growth areas. They have access to valuable data that allows them to pinpoint suburbs and neighborhoods with the highest investment potential, giving you an edge over other buyers.
Access to Off-Market Opportunities Many of the best investment properties never make it to public listings. Buyer’s agents often have connections with real estate agents and property developers, giving them access to off-market listings. This means you can explore exclusive opportunities that other buyers may not even know about.
Time and Stress Management Searching for an investment property Sydney can be time-consuming and stressful, especially if you’re balancing it with work and personal life. An investment buyers agent handles the property search, attends inspections, evaluates properties, and shortlists the best options for you, saving you countless hours.
Expert Negotiation Skills Once you find the right property, negotiating the best price is essential. An investment property buyer’s agent has experience in negotiation and understands market value, helping you secure a property at the most competitive price possible.
Clear Investment Strategy Property Indepth’s investment buyers agents don’t just help you buy a property—they help you develop a clear investment strategy. Why You Need a Car Buyers Advocate Sydney: The Smart Way to Buy Your Next Car
Contact Us On: 0418 127 775
Buying a car can be exciting but challenging, especially in a competitive market like Sydney. Whether it's a brand-new vehicle or a reliable used car, making the right decision requires research, negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the market. This is where a Car Buyers Advocate Sydney can make all the difference. A buyers advocate works solely on behalf of the buyer, ensuring you get the best value without any pressure from dealerships or sales tactics. This article explores the role of a car buyers advocate, why it’s beneficial, and how it can make your car buying experience hassle-free.
What is a Car Buyers Advocate?
A car buyers advocate, also known as a car buying agent, is a professional who assists individuals in purchasing a vehicle by providing expert advice, researching options, and handling negotiations. Unlike salespeople or dealership agents, a buyers advocate is hired by and works for the buyer, ensuring that the buyer's interests are the top priority. They leverage industry knowledge, market insights, and negotiation tactics to secure the best deals, saving buyers time, money, and stress.
How a Car Buyers Advocate Works
Consultation: The advocate first meets with you to understand your needs, budget, and preferences. They’ll ask questions to clarify if you’re looking for a new or used car, specific models you have in mind, or any particular features you prioritize.
Research: With the information gathered, the advocate conducts thorough research on available options, pricing trends, and potential deals in the Sydney market. They screen vehicles that fit your criteria, assessing quality, price, and resale value.
Negotiation: Once a vehicle is selected, the advocate engages in price negotiations. Their goal is to get the best possible deal, which often includes negotiating for additional features or benefits that dealerships might not readily offer.
Inspection & Paperwork: The advocate may arrange for vehicle inspections, especially if it's a used car, to ensure it meets quality standards. They’ll also handle the paperwork, making sure everything is in order, saving you from the hassle of legal and contractual details.
Why Use a Car Buyers Advocate Sydney?
Sydney's car market is competitive, with high demand and varying prices. Here’s why a buyers advocate can be particularly helpful in this city:
Local Market Expertise: Buyers advocates in Sydney understand the local car market dynamics, including trends in pricing, popular models, and dealership reputations. They can identify the best deals and avoid overpriced options.
Time-Saving: Car buying involves countless hours of research, dealership visits, and negotiation. A buyers advocate streamlines this process, giving you only the top options based on your criteria.
Cost Efficiency: With a strong negotiator, you can save thousands of dollars on your car purchase. Advocates know the industry markup, common negotiation tactics, and where to push for discounts or added value.
Benefits of Hiring a Car Buyers Advocate
1. Objective Advice
A buyers advocate provides impartial advice without any pressure to sell. This objectivity is crucial, as it helps you make decisions based on value and quality rather than flashy sales tactics. Advocates are not affiliated with dealerships, ensuring their recommendations are genuinely in your best interest.
2. Access to Exclusive Deals
Car buyers advocates often have connections within the industry, which can give them access to exclusive deals not available to the general public. This could mean special pricing, dealer discounts, or limited-time offers. Leveraging these connections, advocates secure better deals than what’s typically advertised.
3. Expert Negotiation Skills
One of the standout skills a buyers advocate brings to the table is the ability to negotiate. With a deep understanding of the car market and dealer pricing, advocates can push for better terms, lower prices, or added perks, such as extended warranties or free services. This level of negotiation is often hard for individuals to achieve on their own.
4. Peace of Mind with Inspections
If you’re buying a used car, quality inspection is critical. Buyers advocates often work with certified inspectors who can thoroughly assess a vehicle for mechanical issues, wear and tear, and potential red flags. This gives you peace of mind knowing that the car you buy is in excellent condition.
What to Look for in a Car Buyers Advocate Sydney
1. Experience and Knowledge
Look for an advocate with substantial experience in the automotive industry. They should know the Sydney car market well, including the best dealerships, market trends, and fair pricing for various models.
2. Transparent Pricing
An advocate should offer clear and upfront pricing for their services. Some charge a flat fee, while others may take a percentage based on the savings they negotiate on your behalf. Ensure you understand their fee structure before committing.
3. Testimonials and Referrals
Testimonials and referrals can provide insight into the advocate’s success and client satisfaction. Reviews from past clients or references can reassure you that the advocate is effective, reliable, and dedicated to client satisfaction.
4. Clear Communication
Communication is key. The advocate should be available to answer your questions, provide updates, and ensure you’re comfortable with every decision. They should prioritize your needs and keep you informed throughout the process.
The Cost of Hiring a Car Buyers Advocate: Is it Worth It?
The cost of hiring a car buyers advocate can vary, typically depending on the service level and car purchase complexity. However, many buyers find the service worthwhile, as the advocate can negotiate savings that exceed the service fee. Plus, you’re paying for convenience, expertise, and the peace of mind that you’re making a sound investment. Think of it as an insurance policy against overspending or choosing a vehicle that doesn’t suit your needs.
How to Get Started with a Car Buyers Advocate Sydney
Research Options: Look for reputable buyers advocates in Sydney, read reviews, and get a feel for their services.
Set a Budget: Define your budget for both the car purchase and advocate fee. This will give the advocate clear guidelines to work within.
Schedule a Consultation: Contact your chosen advocate for an initial consultation to discuss your needs, preferences, and expectations.
Sit Back and Relax: Once you hire a buyers advocate, you can relax, knowing you have an expert handling the legwork. They’ll keep you updated on progress and present you with only the best options.
Conclusion
A Car Buyers Advocate Sydney can make your car-buying journey smooth, efficient, and more affordable. With an advocate, you’ll have a professional on your side, helping you avoid the common pitfalls of the car market. By handling everything from research to negotiation and inspection, they provide peace of mind, ensuring you make a purchase that meets your needs and budget. In Sydney’s competitive car market, a buyers advocate isn’t just a luxury—it’s a smart choice for savvy car buyers.
