…On some level, it might kinda nail in the fact that she’s now a Creature Of The Night TM for her- on the one hand, daylight’s now actively harmful and hostile to her, but at the same time- the reason why the dark is frightening is because you can’t see, so now that she *can* see in the dark, it’s almost. Comforting. Less overstimulating.

If the situation for it came up, N kinda has a weird habit of not turning on the lights when he goes places without Uzi, and Uzi often has to be the one to take initiative and turn it on (and often get startled by N’s presence)

I am once again begging online shop payment processing companies to allow me to enter a separate name for shipping and separate name for billing!!

It's the same address, I'm just trans and have not legally changed my personal name, but I still prefer to receive mail as my preferred name! Like it's literally my professional name, I do business as my preferred name.

Annoying as fuck, and I don't want to chance my bank rejecting the payment (though I'm sure someone at my bank has put a note to allow it on my account by now, since I've contacted them a couple times before when I realized too late that the billing section didn't let me input another "address/name" section, and they said the payment was fine in those cases.)

Me, tries to fix it by ironing it on again but messes up again: double crap!

Me, desperately tries to redeem the doll to sell by sewing over the eyes: * goes and cries for an hour and questions all my life choices after failing to redeem Dio’s gnarled face*

from what I’ve read, it is the main source of funding for the Institute, which houses over 31,000 garments and accessories from the 17th century onwards

as for why the Costume Institute needs a separate fundraiser from the rest of this vast world-class museum with many high-profile donors…I have often wondered that myself. in the same breath as wondering why the Met has so few and sparse costume exhibits in any given year, and why some pieces on their collections website are outright misdated

but that’s the situation, so. that’s what the Met Gala is for. it’s not just rich people parading around in couture for fun. it keeps a huge museum collection of historical clothing preserved, so people can learn from and be inspired by those garments for years to come
