Anyone who comes across this post, got any advice for weathering gunpla?

One of my very first kits was Master Gundam and Fuunsaiki, but I fucked up big time on Fuunsaiki and the entire leg got twisted off on the joint, whole connector is ruined. Tried fixing it many a time but nothing seemed to work. It's very mangled on the inside of the joint.

I suppose I have the option of trying one last fix with the plastic cement I bought for my miniatures since I didn't have that when I initially broke the kit (it was like my 2nd kit ever, and I was very young) but It's probably beyond repair, so i wanna try making it look good in a different way.

Also if I so weather it what should I do with the leg? Cos it's just an entire leg that idk what to do with

I should have been taken seriously when I went To them with concerns and shouldn’t have been brushed off.#But also to be a 14 something year old and to realize your parents aren’t in love is a crushing feeling #Since that must have been when. 13-14. Appa passed. Pandemic times. I’m sure my father. Since this would have been the last time I saw Appa #We went down to visit. Dad didn’t go he had work. He sent us off. I remember sitting in the passenger seat by mom in driver #Dad praying for our safe travel and for him going in for a kiss and the moment of hesitation and unwant from my mother #And the awkward silence and the way everything seemed to just shift to the side #That was summer of 2019. My first time realizing my parents weren’t both in love happened when I was 13-14.#I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.#And going to college has me feeling so guilty. Like I fucking ditched my siblings? The kids I raised as a child myself?#(I had to go. I don’t know if my scholarship would have held I don’t know if my financial aid would have held. I couldn’t have waited. )#(I would have likely done something bad to myself. Genuinely. If I weren’t able to be here. If I had to stay. I wouldn’t survive that.)#my siblings are fine. They have no responsibilities. My sister is manipulative. They will manage. They want me to get the education I need #They aren’t going to have to use their own college money to pay to be able to eat because the parents won’t feed them for the summer #I went into college with at least a couple hundred less than I should have. Because I had to parent. I had to feed my siblings.#And I had to pay to fill the gas tank on my father’s gas eater truck. We couldn’t be home because of the selling home situation.#I had to do something to get us out and to feed us but I didn’t get paid back for anywhere near all of it #I don’t regret it. But a kid shouldn’t have to pay for them and their siblings to live.#But then I remember the dread I have for returning ‘home’ for the breaks. I don’t know what I’m going to do.#If I can’t work all of the breaks then I either won’t be able to pay next semester #Or I’ll have almost no money in savings. Like nothing to my name. Can’t buy gas. Can’t do anything. Can’t buy food.#Unless the next scholarship stuff I’m doing pulls through. But I’m willing to work the whole break just to get away from either house.#I want to violently shake my parents and get them to comprehend #Father you have dropped 260$ into my bank account in the last two weeks. I usually only post stylings and leave the talking to the tags, but I needed to get this out.

I'm so discouraged by the game here lately. I've contacted support several times about the crashes. I tried to make my entry this weekend 5 times and I never even got to the submit button. It was crashing mid styling. Sometimes before I even got to the sticker screen. My device is within their "requirements" for fluid game play. When I proved this to customer support they straight up went "oh we'lllet devs know of this issue" because they didn't have an counter argument against my device or its active storage at all.

My enjoyment in this game is dependent on me actually using the items I acquire. I'm not here for scores, I'm not here for competitive play, I'm here to make pretty pictures. And when I can't even make a casual styling outside of any competition entry or anything without the game crashing halfway through my efforts. What's the point of playing anymore?

The car has been bought!

It took 3 and a half fucking hours from getting there to actually driving away but it was fucking bought.

Thank fuck for indoor playgrounds because we took Mars to one just in case it took longer than we thought. Boy was she super over tired by the time it was finally time to go home. I don't think she ever slowed down for more than 10 mins the entire time we were there.

(The place with the best deal was an hour away. Multiple people said I didn't have to be there but we weren't going to take that chance so that meant I had to come with. Mars was very excited about the new car and wanted to be there for the first drive and we figured why not. Three and a half hours is why not, past Geeky and Mr. Geeky.)

Also, should note in all fairness to the Mazda guy we were working with, it was not his fault. Our original guy called in sick so the deal had to be gone over again with the new guy. The new guy didn't have a desk so he just kept stealing other people's desks which was honestly more hilarious than annoying. The insurance we were planning on going with dropped the ball so Mr. Geeky had to emergency shop around for a new one. The entire place was super busy so Mr. Geeky had to wait for a while to talk to the financing people. Overall it was a mess but not the sort where there's anything one thing that caused it, just a bunch of little stuff piled up.

But we got a car!

#geeky talks #for anyone wondering we went with the cx-5 #which is hilariously enough apparently the second choice for the majority of toyota owners #mr geeky watches this one guy who does reviews on car #and he is like a die hard toyota guy #like he trash talks basically every other car and brand #but he recently just reviewed the cx-5 and was gushing over it #and a ton of the people in his reviews were basically like #yeah i had to buy this because there were no toyotas to buy near me #(they are basically out of stock fucking everywhere they're just selling too fast)#and anyway they were like i bought it cause i had to but i ended up loving it #anyway i know not every toyota person is like this #but i have a special love for toyota people for being so willing to honestly compare two different brands of cars #especially considering i know toyota people tend to have the reputation for being pretty die hard for their brand #but anyway we have a car y'all!

So to be clear tumblr is the only social media i actually bother to use with any regularly, but sometimes you crave variety. For example sometimes going on reddit is a nice distraction, and my feed is all really interesting silly low-investment type posts that i can scroll thru and be entertained by without feeling like i have to engage. and other times it feels exactly like facebook. just suggested post after suggested post that makes me say "god you people are so fucking unbelievably stupid." posts seemingly hand picked to make me so enraged, the exact kind of shit I go online to AVOID.

currently it's recommending me a bunch of posts about "why does America have so much looting?" That have a bunch of responses like, "Because of the crime wave, no one prosecutes shoplifters, people have just noticed its so easy to get a group together on whatsapp, etc" and WHY? It thinks I would want or need these posts? Idfk??? I hang out in r/antiwork and like 3 other main subs about being homeless and random entertainment topics. I don't use reddit for politics or world events. I do NOT get my news from there.

Anyway there was also one recommended thread about "why do rural folk feel looked down upon by city folks?" And all the responses were, "yeah! It's them who are rude to the city people!" And when someone mentioned the lack of resources in rural areas, another person chimed in to say "well I lived in Detroit and now I live in a rural area and we have WAY more food and resources than Detroit does!" But the second anyone brings up, you know, the socioeconomic factors that influence that shit, everyone's like whining and crying bc their little brains can't handle ""bringing race into it."" someone had a different life experience than you?! Pft, sure, and then all the bystanders clapped! 🙄

idk it's like. the more time goes on, the wider economic gaps become, the more obvious it is how effectively people are brainwashed. It's not like the answers to these questions are hidden esoteric mysteries. It's not like people having different, individual experiences in life is new. Even my grandma understands that a) people aren't actually looting that much and b) even if they were, have you bought groceries in the past 3 years? if so, why are you even asking that question?? But you try to actually talk about how bad shits getting and these fuckers go into high gear defending The American Way Of Life and blaming individual choices. Ppl are drinking the Kool aid so hard and they think water is just supposed to fucking taste like that
