•Heard from Dolores, who unintentionally shouted that you were doing it in front of the whole family while they were eating

•Half the family started choking on their food

•They all wanted to go help, but Alma made them stay (except Camilo, she told him to go immediately)

•Anyway, he would always try to stay with you for as long as possible after he found out, to make sure you didn't do it again

•He helps you find another coping mechanism that helps

•Always reminds you of how much he cares about you and loves you (even more than he did before)

•If you were ok with it, while cuddling he would kiss some of the scars and compliment on how good/pretty they look on you

You and Camilo were supposed to hang out today, but as you went to where you two were supposed to meet, you saw him with another girl. The girl was beautiful. She had long black hair and she wore a white dress with roses imprinted on it. You stared for a second, wondering if you should go up to them, but when you saw her touch his arm you decided you had enough, so you headed home.

You were now sitting on your bed, resisting the growing urge to harm youself. You had been doing good these past few days as you supressed it or distracted yourself from it, but now it was greater than ever. You glanced at the door, then your arm, the razor, the door again, your thigh/arm, then back at the knife. Bad thoughts started to fill your mind.

You're not good enough for him.

Nobody cares about you.

Camilo will leave you for her.

He wouldn't care if you died.

With that last one, you grab the razor.

"One little cut never hurt anybody.. except me i guess..butthatsnotthepoint" You said quietly, putting the razor up to your arm/thigh.

You felt the familiar stinging pain again and again. Suddenly, the door burst open, making you drop the bloody razor onto the floor.

You quickly looked at who opened the door. It was Camilo. His eyes were wide and tears started running down his cheeks. Your eyes widened as you tried to cover the bleeding cuts.

.

He carefully closed your door and walked over to you, moving your hand(s) so they were no longer covering the cuts.

.

"W-..why..?" He asked, voice craking.

.

"I-..Um-.. I don't- I didn't want you to see this-" You said, chuckling and looking at the floor, trying to ignore the pain.

.

"Mi vida look at me" Camilo gently grabbed your face and made you look at him. "Please.. Don't do things like this anymore."

.

"I tried. I really did." You said quietly, avoiding eye contact.

.

He nodded and gently picked you up bridal style, carrying you to the bathroom. He sat you on the counter, beside the sink. He grabbed a first aid kit out of a cabinet and started cleaning your wounds.

.

You sharply sucked in through your teeth as he accidentally makes a cut sting.

.

"I'm so sorry mi amor" Camilo said, pausing to give your cheek a big kiss.

.

Once he was finished, he looked at the other scars as you rested your head in the crook of his neck.

.

"How long have you been.. Doing this for?" He asked quietly.

.

">however long you've been doing it<" You said, barely whispering.

.

"Say it louder mi vida. I promise I won't be mad, I just want to help you get out of the habit of doing it." He said, gently kissing your neck (not s3xually).

You repeated yourself and he barely heard it.

You felt his breath hitch. "Oh.. Well I promise that I will do whatever it takes for you to stop. I'll find other things for you to do instead, I'll help you find different coping mechanisms.. Does that sound ok?" He asked gently.

You nodded as tears began to fall. He carefully picked you up and brought you out of your bathroom. Camilo set you on your bed and sat next to you, still holding you.

He pulled away and wiped your tears. "Can you tell me why you did it, please?"

.

"I just saw you with another girl.. and I thought you would leave me..because I'm not good enough..So-" You were cut off by more tears flowing out of your eyes.

Camilo was quick to kiss them away. He started peppering kisses all over your face, saying something sweet in between each one.

"You're perfect mi vida"

With that last one, you let out a small giggle, lips curling up into a smile.

"Now, let's go steal-I mean- get one of Tia Julieta's arepas, ok?" He said, grabbing your hand and helping you up gently.

You smiled and nodded, knowing that your lovely boyfriend and his family cared about you.
