if Jessie is 1” taller than everyone else does that apply worldwide or just to Jessie’s field of awareness; ie. if someone 7’ tall enters Jessie’s field of view does she become 7’1” or does the person shrink?

they all shrink down to 1" below her default height (no shapeshift stretching) permanently regardless of whether or not she is aware of them. it's the most direct way to make "everybody in the whole world is at least an inch shorter than Jessie" true.

I was about to say I'm being a hypocrite because I know how I feel about Farcille but I just remembered that the real reason the ship pissed me off so much wasn't really for narrative flattening or anything like that so much as people going "our morally righteous yuri, their disgusting misogynistic m/m and m/f shipping that ignores this female relationship led story" only to read the manga and find out it is not a female relationship led story and that Marcille and Laios spend basically the entire story together and have development with each other while Falin is barely in it

...which bugs me but isn't the thing that bugs me and makes me so annoyed about it, it's that "my shipping is woke, m/m or m/f shippers are polluting the story"

I was thinking about Tolkien's quote about how NW Europe is his beloved home, yes, but a) it does not exhaust his affections, b) the north is in no way sacred to him, contrary to Certain Takes on LOTR, and c) he particularly loves Spanish.
