Looked at some models myself
Hey guyes! Remember how I complained about wanting to become an old lady? Well, I have good news for you (and myself)....
Tumblr media
LOOOOOOOOK!!!!!!
Okay this IS pretty cool! I was able to borrow that one save-editing program thanks to a friend (and the fact that code can be reused two times) so I was looking through some models, I wanna see more and figure some other stuff too, but... jees, seeing this for myself on the BIG screen is so much better than taking low-res pause captures from low-res youtube videos fsjdfh
This set comes in one piece, as only chest piece, but covers everything including head, and attempt to wear actual head/legs/arms pieces causes clipping.
Tumblr media
I also found out that Adella’s dagger IS a weapon that can be equipped, sort of! I found out by looking at the page with Hex IDs for weapons, and it was right up there ( x ). So yes, I tried this one too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Turned out that it does have strong attack animation AND charge attack programmed, however, they do not deal any damage. I’ve tried several times, and nope. Adella, apparently, only uses the L1 attack with it, that is rather slow and repeats her slowly staggering to stab us - you can see the damage it is dealing is rather low, actually. So, yeah, unfortunately, not effective weapon at all... It swings way faster if you use L1 after R1, but, again, doesn’t deal damage to any enemy!
Tumblr media
Also it IS bigger than I thought it was o:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are also these REALLY strange looking untextured black arm pieces for some reason. Don’t even know what to use them with, because they clip through other clothes. Was also really upset to find out that I could NOT, in fact, wear Mico’s cut content handcuffs or Garden of Eyes’ head.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again, this is just soooooo much better up close and seen by myself!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her clothes pieces also have actual icons, and even reasonable defence stats, which is so neat? Don’t know what else it is supposed to mean other than these were intended to be possible to loot and wear, but... yeah
I was editing a save file using IDs found by that cool person Sanadsk / Omega Fantasy, ones for armors are specifically revealed in this document ( x ), but there are also IDs for stuff like weapons and items ( x ). Interestingly, there are still no Hex IDs for weapons from DLC anywhere I could find... But I think that’s even to the better, because everyone must experience getting Rakuyo by themselves jhfdshjfdshfd I think I will just gather them on my own later, by keeping track of placing a weapon with known ID, recording where it is in the save file, and then equipping a DLC one on its place and writing down the number. It is really easy, just need to play until that point now because my progress was lost due to having to switch account on one possible for online :s ....but when I finish with that, I will NOT share Rakuyo’s ID with the public, because everyone should fight Shark Giants, ahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way, a myth got debunked!
Tumblr media
I thought Annalise had a low-res ring on her hand, but turned out that it was just a clipping issue in her fingers, that applies to both hands! D: Yeah, there is a chest piece that, rather than just giving her dress, changes entire player’s model to Annalise! With ridiculously blueishly pale skin, long demelanized hair and... no face, apparently...
So yeah, I want to find out more stuff, such as how to replace one NPC with another to take a closer look and freeze enemies/bosses in non-hostile positions, I have some ideas on how that could possibly be pulled off! This thing is also convenient if you really need to look at something but you messed a questline (like how I had to start a new game to see Henryk’s armour because I accidentally aggroed Eileen early т.т). And of course I am going to save-edit dungeons! I can’t explain it well, it just... being able to see and capture things by myself feels so much better than relying on videos and screenshots found online?
However, one thing annoyed me! Like, I don’t know if the version of Save Wizard get to use is somehow ‘wrong’, or things are JUST like this, but there was one irritating thing that only occured to me a bit late?
Basically, imagine that you want to look at Adella’s dagger close, so what you want to do, is, obviously, to replace a Hex ID for weapon you already have in your equipment with Hex ID for it! For example, unleveled Hunter’s Axe! We can see ( x ) that Hex ID for Hunter’s Axe is 004C4B40 ! So what do you wanna do when you see 100500 lines of shit like this?
Tumblr media
Naturally, just hit search for 004C4B40! But for some reason, the search instead glows blue at 40 4B 4C 00 instead! And yeah, you probably figured by now what is wrong here, but I didn’t get it at first? I kept searching and trying to find what was wrong, and then gave up and replaced 404B4C00 with the normal ID for Adella’s dagger - 000DBBA0 . And... I got jackshit. Just empty item.
But then I did realise that the weird numbers and letters search gives me do, in fact, make sense...... This ABSOLUTE MOTHERFUCKER, for some reason, wrote Hex IDs in inverted order! And not as in, ‘write the same line backwards’, no! Instead, the ID consists out of 8 symbols but they are paired, so you have to write PAIRS in reverse order, but not reverse the order of the letters themselves! So the correct way to insert Adella’s dagger would be to write 00 0D BB A0 as A0 BB 0D 00!
BUT HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT?????? AAAAAAA!!!!!!
Again, I don’t know, maybe it is on me, I just thought it was painfully obvious how to use this program and I didn’t expect something to be odd, especially with Hex IDs already known to the public - why not write them in ‘correct’ order then? But yeah, the riddle was solved, and I get how it works a bit better now. This is really satisfying that I can DROWN in references now, but I’ll need to take my time with this thing, because with some stuff I still dunno what to do. For example, I saw people edit where Doll is by replacing her ID with ID of like... some cut content model such as King or Beltran, to take a closer look, but for that I do need ID for the Doll first. :thinking_emoji:
I will find out I guess, this thing is simpler when you get around intuitively knowing where is what code.

Itchmas 2024 Days 2-4
Thus far I have managed 1 consecutive day of Itchmas 2024, so let's make up for that!
Day 2. I've added 25 community copies for my game The River Spirit. It was my ZiMo 2023 project, a solo journaling game about creating your hometown and then venturing into the forest to save it from a drought. It uses a standard deck of 52 cards to create your memories of the place, give you encounters in the forest, and then have the river spirit demand sacrifice from you in the form of dripping water onto your journal and tearing out the sodden pages. Easily the best (and most complete) thing I've made so far
Tumblr media
Day 3 - The Technicolor Forest by Mynar Lenahan
The Technicolor Forest is an adventure for RAD, the post-Soviet nuclear wasteland hack of Mausritter, by Hipolita. This adventure has everything that's great about RAD: archival Soviet art/ads, clean two-column layout, bizarre mutations you can acquire, etc. What does it add? A monster called That Fucking Frog. Need I say more?
Turns out, yes, I do need. Because I love me some mushrooms, and this adventure is chock full of them. The titular technicolor forest is something straight out of Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, a forest of giant fungus that sits smack-dab in the middle of a nuclear wasteland. On the one hand, its constant expansion poses a threat to human life around it. On the other hand, isn't it nice that something is actually growing and thriving in the nuclear winter?
Throw in three factions that all have direct connections to the Forest, several settlements at various levels of wealth, and a small dungeon at the Heart of the Forest, and you've got a compelling adventure location that will ask some big questions of your wasteland adventurers.
Day 4 - The Rumbling Forest by goobernuts
I'm only now realizing that there's a real silvestral theme in these Itchmas posts. Well I'm a biologist at heart, so that makes sense.
I've had my eye on this adventure for over a year, ever since Idle Cartulary reviewed it in September 2023. While obviously inspired by Princess Mononoke (namechecked on the first page of the adventure), the adventure is much more than just that story translated into an RPG. Perhaps the best intervention it makes is trapping the locals in between the colonizing Conquistadors and the enraged mass of boars. Unlike the citizens of Iron Town, who are actively participating in the destruction of the forest in Princess Mononoke, the people of Barangay Tindigan are faced with a fundamental lifestyle change due to the arrival of colonizers. They're not the ones who shot the Ancient Boar, but it's their village and not the Conquistadors' stone fort that will get trampled in retaliation. This change makes for a very different dilemma at play: how can you protect the innocent townsfolk without also protecting the Conquistadors who are clearly at fault for everything that happened?
This is a question with no easy answer, if your group is even interested in answering that specific question (maybe they'll work for the Conquistadors; they are offering 1000 gp as a reward after all). Still, whatever they want to do they had better act fast because as the Ancient Boar lays dying, its death throes are causing literal earthquakes. The mechanic that underlies this clock is pretty ingenious actually: an earthquake triggers every time you roll doubles on the 2d6 Wilderness Encounters table, and the Ancient Boar dies after the fifth earthquake. This means there's a 1-in-6 chance of an earthquake, so you're looking at an average of 30 wilderness encounters before everything comes down around your players' ears. That's theoretically more than enough time to explore the 20 hexes on the given hexmaps if they're really booking it through the forest.
The Wilderness Encounters is perhaps a little lacking, and for me the least inspiring part of the adventure. I particularly like the giant hermit crab using an overturned boat as its shell, but many of the other encounters don't feel like they add all that much context to the world. In particular, I would love to have some interesting people to happen upon in the forest, because the people in the keyed hexes are by and large pretty compelling.
All in all, the adventure is deceptively simple and really gives players the space they need to mull over how to resolve the presented dilemma. There are no easy answers presented in the text (because god knows that killing the Ancient Boar isn't going to be easy even though it's technically the most obvious 'solution') and that's just the way I like it. Newer GMs might find that aspect of the game a bit frustrating or confusing on first glance, but if you just venture into the Rumbling Forest I think that an answer will present itself to you one way or another if you just let it happen.

Do you have any game recs?
Always!!!!! A quick note that I am, as I've mentioned many times before, not great at video games, even if I play them a lot. Which means that while I've beaten all listed, I've certainly not gotten enough skill to give a professional opinion rip:
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (any)- Look. Look. You like RPGs? You like Pokemans? Buy one of these bad boys. Most of the used copies range between twenty to thirty dollars, and they're all over 15 hours of story content plus extras. This was my first experience with Pokemon. This was my first experience with a storytelling video game. Playing them as an adult, you'll spot the twists and turns, but as a child I DIDN'T and it's partially what got me so into writing. I don't have a time gear tattoo fer nothin'!
Far Cry Games- Far Cry games are racist. I'm not lying or ignoring that, and I never recommend giving money to these people when pirating is possible. But if you care about gameplay over a shitty, repetitive, bigoted storyline, Far Cry games are massive, sprawling, and beautifully rendered. You can do basically anything in them. You wanna steal a truck and run it off the road? You wanna hunt? You wanna play shitty poker? Go off majesty, it's there. One of my first FPS experiences.
Psychonauts and Psychonauts 2- You ever read A Series of Unfortunate Events? You know the vibe of 'I have a vague time period where this set in, but this is not how the world acts or people act but it's so compelling'? That's Psychonauts. Set "loosely in the 80s", the games star an acrobatic lad as he uses his psychic powers to enter minds and stop evildoing. It's twisty, it's twisted, it's FUN, and if you aren't sure it's ten dollars at full price for the first one, so you're basically in no real risk of losing out. If you like platformers and are looking for a hella fun time with interesting mechanics, definitely give this a try. (Though, fair warning: Psychonauts 2 has a fair amount of vomit in one mission. So if that squeezes you out, maybe watch a playthrough and skip the goats)
Bioshock 1 and 2- A staple, I know, but I just got to play them for the first time last year, and I loved them. Period-accurate sci-fi that is filled to the brim with POC with plotlines, backstories, and aren't just "lol isn't racism fucked up" fodder? Yes, please. You can pick between a myriad of power-ups and do battle however you want with them. Hack machines or freeze your foes or send bees after them. It's all available. I've not beaten Bioshock Infinite yet so I can't properly recommend it, but I've been told a lot of the fun mechanics are still there.
Celeste- Another platformer, Celeste has gorgeous graphics, challenging but fair gameplay, and lots of memorable characters. Climb a mountain and fist-fight your own mental illness. Each screen is its own sort of mini-level, and you start at the beginning of that when you die rather than the start of the level. It's on basically all your handy consoles AND steam, too.
Fran Bow and Little Misfortune- fun fact about me, I love weird little horror games like these. Full of imagery and psychedelic ideas, you're allowed to write your own story in the characters.
Fran Bow is the tale of a very disturbed little girl- or, perhaps, a girl who can see demons. It's all up to you. Set in the 1940s, Fran has been entered into a mental asylum following the murder of her parents. Desperate to find her kitty, you must guide her out of the jail and into the unknown, facing off with demons, ghosts, skeletons with lovely tophats, and your own uncertainty on what is true or fake.
Little Misfortune is about Misfortune, a little girl who wanders away from home to find Eternal Happiness for her mother. This one is more concrete in real-vs-fake than Fran Bow- you meet foxes with staffs, rats hosting clubs, and the pain of saying goodbye. (Warning: both games are very dark, but Little Misfortune in particular contains some vomit)
Night in the Woods- hey, you wanna question your own mortality? If god exists- and, if he does, if he even likes his job? The downfall of small town America? Cults?? Untreated mental illness? Possums? All with great humor and dialogue?? This may be your JAM! NITW honestly changed my life. It gave me a lot of perspective. And I've wanted a tattoo of a whale with the words "I believe in a universe that doesn't care, and people who do." on my right forearm ever since.
What Remains of Edith Finch- a walking simulator, walk through the tale of the Finch family, all cursed with bad luck, as Edith returns to her childhood home and writes it all down. Each story is told with amazing flair, interesting stylization, and horrible death.

hiiiiiiiii nox just checking up on your blog like the monthly news HOW ARE YOU!?! i completely forgor you were into warriors and pokemon I am severely missing out on some of this. did u get scarlet/violet ??! also are there any ouran pokemon crossovers (asking for a friend )))😼
omg HII!!! yes im big fan of warriors n pokemon in fact!! ive been replaying pokemon explorers of sky lately!!! Well, technically I'm playing a rom hack version of it, "explorers of skies". It's the same game, just has quality of life improvements + difficulty has been upped (look that game is hard enough as is but I've played and beaten it 5000 times so I need MORE challenge) also they added new pokemon you can play as so I'm playing as Alolan Vulpix! My partner is a Mudkip :) We're team Ryders, I'm Ren and he's Rayne! Very fun I'm so obsessed with the story and the characters (the whole guild and future crew I'd die for them all). Reminds me I need to buy the newer mystery dungeon games Gates to Infinity + Super Mystery Dungeon. I haven't played beyond EoS and it's a shame bc I love the series but tbh it's just nothing can top EoS for me sorry.... BUT I'd love to give the other ones a go.
As for ScVo I have not and don't plan to :( newer pokemon games......ok I'm gonna phrase this in the nicest Way Possible. I do not like newer mainline pokemon games. X/Y was fun and then after that it all went to shit. The issues that were present in X/Y I gave them slack for because well it's the first 3DS mainline game, but then they weren't fixed in SM and now they're doing it on the SWITCH so they have no excuse -- and I mean this to the Gamefreak not the dev team. The dev team are being abused by that awful work place and not only am I NOT gonna pay $60 for a buggy unfinished mess that rivals sonic 06, but I don't want to support the awful workplace abuse gamefreak employees are put through. I'm glad there are people who are enjoying the new games but I just cannot get into them. Stuck replaying all the DS game forever lol. That said non mainline games are usually pretty good since they're not developed by gamefreak lol. So if any cool spinoffs come out I may look into them.
Speaking of new games tho I maaay get Sonic Frontiers I've heard good things about it and it looks fun. Glad to see Sonic has had a good year at least.
ALSO ouran pkmn crossovers I'm SURE there are.... I made a joke once that if they were pokemon the Hitachiins would be Eevees and their whole identity crisis arc would be about that they are allowed to evolve into different things.... I think Hikaru would be an Umbreon and Kaoru an Espeon.
as for TEAMS .. I cant think of anything concrete but I have ideas.
So, Haruhi's would be pretty standard. She's not much a trainer, Pokemon to her are pets/friends and she doesn't really fight. I think her strongest Pokemon would be a Kadabra, but most of them are just normal or flying types. For a starter I think she has bulbasaur.
Tamaki's team would be all over the place. He'd have a really regal Pokemon and then this cool awesome dragon that spits fire. No core type. His starter would be charmander.
Kyoya's team is full of very strong, very refined Pokemon. Leans dark/ice but has a good spread. Starter was Snivy.
The twins are interesting in that they have different teams but they mirror each other. Kaoru has an Espeon, Hikaru has an Umbreon. Kaoru has a Seviper, Hikaru has a Zangoose. No core type. Both of their starters were Cyndaquill but Kaoru kept his a quilava while Hikaru evolved it to typhlosion.
Hani's is just. cutsey shit. many of them un-evolved but really fucking high level. Mostly elec type bc of all the Pikachu clones pachirisu etc. Starter was Pikachu
Mori love defense pokemon so he leans to rock/steel types. His team is a bunch of tanks. Starter was turtwig.
Renge has all those really loud/peppy pokemon like lopunny and sunflora. mostly "girly" pokemon, no core type. Starter was chikorita
