Description: Part 2 to "Best Friends?" The roommates call an audible when they see how much the aftermath of the Incident™️ is affecting both girls. Help comes in the form of the Murray family.
WARNINGS: buckle up, this is a 2.4k word RIDE, realizations of love, reader being sad, sports injury (reader breaks her ankle), first kisses.
a month.
that's how long it had been since what leighton had deemed "d-day".
this was the longest she had ever gone without talking to y/n and leighton was hurting. she broke things off with alicia after the incident happened. it wasn't pretty.
hurtful things were said, alicia flipped a coffee table and had to be escorted out of the dorm building by jackson, who kimberly luckily had at the ready when things turned south.
her roommates could see this was taking a toll on the blonde, the trio trying their best to keep leighton's spirits up. whitney was really the only one who got to see how it was affecting both girls.
y/n, in whitney's opinion, was doing worse than leighton was. whitney rarely saw the girl outside of practice and the one class they had together. she had heard through the grapevine that y/n hadn't slept in days, maybe weeks. all she had been doing was going to class, practice and the gym.
had she tried to talk to y/n? yes. but to no avail. the girl had brushed her off every single attempt. whitney had no idea what to do. she talked to bela and kimberly and they formed a plan.
they were going to get the girls together.
leighton was pleasantly surprised when she saw her dad and nico sitting outside her dorm on a bench, seemingly waiting for her. she walked up to them and immediately was pulled into a hug by nico.
"leighton! there's my beautiful sister." the blonde was confused but hugged her brother back. once he released her, her dad pulled her into his arms. "hi guys. not that i'm not happy to see you, but what are you doing here?" the two shared a secret look with each other. "we wanted to visit and say hi. your mom is here too, but she went to talk to the kappa president about something."
the blonde looked suspicious but shrugged it off. the two men kept talking as they guided leighton to their suv that was parked near by, planning on taking her to lunch. the blonde allowed them to, finally relaxing for the first time in weeks.
y/n shot another ball into the back of the net at full force. practice had ended over an hour ago and she was still kicking penalty shots, trying to get her frustration out. her body was exhausted and threatened to shut down at any moment, but y/n stayed fueled with energy drinks. she had jogged after the ball she had been practicing with when a voice yelled out.
"i knew you'd be here."
y/n froze. she hadn't heard that voice in a while. she slowly turned to see a woman taking off a pair of designer sunglasses, staring into y/n's soul.
there she stood, in all her glory. mimi murray. y/n audibly gulped at the woman staring at her. she slowly walked towards the woman, kinda like a scared puppy. the woman looked at y/n and cupped her cheeks. "have you been sleeping? eating?" y/n opened her mouth to answer when mimi put her hand up to stop her.
"no. you don't need to answer, i already know. grab your stuff. we have plans." y/n nodded and quickly grabbed her stuff, not wanting to disappoint the woman more than she probably had.
with leighton, nico, and henry, the trio were out eating at an italian restaurant half an hour away from campus. the two men noticed how quiet leighton had gotten, asking her if everything was okay. she spilled everything to them, the men looking at her sadly. "leighton, i'm gonna be honest with you, i'm surprised it took you this long to catch on."
leighton looked at her dad surprised. "what do you mean?" her dad sighed. "i had a feeling a while ago that she had feelings for you. and then the feeling was confirmed last year. remember when that alex guy came to our house to ask you to prom?" leighton frowned. "yeah?"
y/n and leighton were hanging out in the living room of the murray household. since it was the spring, soccer season had taken over most of y/n's schedule, leaving her barely any room to hang out with the blonde. so, every rare weekend that y/n had off, she spent at leighton's house.
as the two sat on the couch cuddling and watching a movie, the doorbell rang. thinking it was one of nico's friends, the girls ignored it. until leighton's dad came in. "hey leight, there's someone here for you." confused, the two girls got up, walking to the front door where alex hightower stood at leighton's door with a huge sign and a bag of leighton's favorite treats. the sign read "it would be a treat if you went to prom with me". y/n's heart dropped to her stomach as leighton smiled at the boy, accepting his invite.
she was hoping to gather enough courage to ask leighton if she just wanted to go together as friends. she visibly deflated as leighton spoke excitedly with alex about prom plans. henry was standing off to the side watching it all unfold. he saw how y/n reacted to the proposal and his heart broke a little bit.
alex eventually left as leighton dragged y/n up to her room to have the girl help her plan her dress. henry saw as y/n plastered on a fake smile and allowed the girl to drag her up the stairs.
when he woke up the next morning, y/n had already left. a few weeks later, as leighton danced with her date and scanned the room looking for y/n, her heart breaking when she didn't see her anywhere. y/n sat at home alone, looking on instagram and seeing how happy leighton looked. in that moment, y/n made sure that leighton kept that happiness with her, no matter how much it hurt her.
leighton's heart broke at the revelation. she had no idea she was the reason y/n didn't go to prom. it broke even more when she thought of y/n wanting to ask her to prom. she definitely would've had the perfect prom with y/n. nico and henry looked at leighton. nico spoke up. "leighton, y/n has been in love with you since you guys met. she has dedicated this friendship to making you happy, even though it kills her. and i think you love her too."
leighton was crying at this point. henry scooting closer to her and pulling his daughter into his side. "leighton, honey. you wanna know what i think you should do?" the blonde sniffled and nodded. "take the leap. go after her. you two are made for each other. you need each other more than you know. take the first step and get your girl." leighton sniffled and nodded.
they paid for lunch and headed back to campus. on the drive back, ideas ran through leighton's head on how she could take the leap. a light bulb went off in her head and she smiled.
she knew exactly what to do.
with mimi and y/n, the older woman took the girl to the best spa in town. after she had received a mysterious phone call from leighton's roommate, she listened as the girl told her what happened between y/n and her daughter and how y/n wasn't taking care of herself. her protective mom side came out and she cancelled any meetings she had for the rest of the day and headed to essex.
now, the two sat in the steam room together, fresh out of their swedish massage sessions. mimi decided to break the ice first. "so, what happened between you and leighton?" y/n froze again. "we had a fight last month. i haven't talked to her since." mimi nodded. "did this fight have to do with the fact that you're in love with my daughter?"
y/n's head whipped around to look at the older woman nervously. "w-what?" mimi looked at the girl smirking. "i know more than you think. i also know that my daughter is also in love with you." y/n's jaw dropped. "no she doesn't. she's dating someone else." mimi shook her head. "nope. she called me the night you guys had the fight and told me that she broke up with that anna girl."
y/n chuckled. "you mean alicia?" mimi waved the girl off. "same thing. she told me that the breakup didn't go well with alicia." y/n's heart dropped to her stomach at the thought of what might've happened. she shook her head. "so what if she broke up with her? she's not in love with me." mimi sighed. "yes she is. don't you remember what happened a couple of years ago?"
leighton murray was NOT a school spirit person.
except when it came to y/n.
when it came to y/n, leighton and her parents would be in the front row of the stands. leighton would be draped in whatever jersey y/n wasn't wearing, her soccer letterman, and the blonde would even go the extra mile and paint her face in school colors. she loved watching y/n play soccer. especially when y/n got extra sweaty. (leighton would daydream about other instances where y/n would be sweaty but she would never admit that.)
this certain game, spence was playing their cross town rivals, st. john academy. the game was intense, both teams receiving multiple cards before halftime. y/n was getting pushed around and tackled more than usual and every time she hit the ground, leighton would lose a little off her life.
it all culminated in the 40th minute of the game. y/n was sprinting down the field with the ball at her feet, no defenders in front of her, ready to put spence in the lead. a defender from st. john had caught up to her and slid into a dirty tackle. y/n was blindsided as the defender's cleat came in at full speed and force to y/n's ankle.
there was a pop, a scream, and a thud as y/n fell in a heap to the ground, not before bouncing her head off the field. leighton couldn't breathe. she squeezed nico's hand extremely tight as the boy tried to calm her down. the second the ref waved her hand for the medics, leighton was out of her seat, sprinting to the field.
coach smith met her at the sideline and ran over to y/n with her. the girl was writhing in pain on the ground, tears streaming from her face. the medics began prepping her ankle to transport her to the hospital. leighton kneeled next to her head. "y/n. hey, you're gonna be okay. i promise." the blonde took y/n's hand, squeezing it gently to let her know she was there. y/n squeezed back as her head pounded and her ankle throbbed.
the medics eventually moved her to the ambulance where leighton demanded to ride with them, texting her parents to meet them at the hospital.
leighton never left y/n's side during her recovery. so when senior year rolled around, leighton was where she always was, front row, letterman on, watching her best friend take the field for the last time in her high school career.
y/n was pulled out of the vivid flashback by mimi. "i knew leighton was in love with you when that happened. she was glued to your side that whole year you recovered. she had multiple guys ask her out on dates and she always shot them down. she always drove you to physical therapy. i knew then that if leighton, who refused to go near one of us when we're sick, was doing all of this for you being hurt, she loved you."
y/n's heart raced. maybe mimi was right. but, had she ruined it with the fight they had last month? mimi noticed the hesitation on her face and stood. y/n looked at her confused. "where are you going?" mimi turned and smiled at the girl. "i'm taking you back to campus to get your girl."
y/n walked back to her dorm, more relaxed than when she left that morning. maybe she would sleep on it and make a decision from there. she pulled her keys out to unlock the door, eagerly wanting to get into bed. when she opened the door, the sight before her took her breath away.
leighton had crafted a blanket fort in the common room of y/n's dorm, fairy lights and all. y/n could see that leighton had gotten her favorite takeout, including dessert, she had a bottle of wine (that she convinced her dad to buy), and her laptop had disney plus queued up with the movie they always watched together, cinderella.
y/n looked at the blonde, who stood nervously by the couch. she was wearing one of y/n's soccer hoodies and some sweatpants. y/n had never seen her look more beautiful than she did in that moment. leighton smiled shyly at her. "hi. i know you're probably still mad at me but i've missed you and i couldn't stay away from you any longer so i did all this so hopefully you would forgive me? it's totally cool if you don't-"
y/n strode across the room and pulled leighton into her arms. she was taller than the blonde so she buried her face in leighton's hair. the blonde relaxed into y/n's arms, tucking her face in the crook of her neck. "i missed you too bubbles." leighton smiled at the nickname. they pulled away from the hug as leighton looked up at y/n.
in a last second idea, leighton leaned up and kissed y/n, catching the girl off guard. y/n quickly relaxed into the kiss, sparks flying behind her eyes. the two kissed for a few minutes and pulled away.
"i love you. i think i always have but i was too scared to admit it. but i've always had this weird feeling when i'm with you. i can't explain it, but i know it's a good feeling. and it's a feeling i don't want to ever lose. i wanna be yours, y/n. forever, if you'll have me."
y/n smiled wide and pulled leighton in for another kiss, this one more passionate than the last. "you have no idea how long i've waited to hear those words, bubbles." leighton smiled at the girl. "well, buttercup, get ready to hear them forever." the two kissed again, their passion slowly bleeding into the night.
the couple could never figure out what came over leighton's family to show up that day.
they would find out years later.
in a speech, surrounded by their friends and loved ones.
with matching rings on their left hands.

A sigh left your lips as you sat on the roof of the Hermes Cabin. You knew who your father was, it was Kronos. Much to everyone's surprise when you were claimed. But that didn't change that there wasn't a cabin for you and you were sure they would never build one. So you were stuck in the Hermes Cabin.
You watched from the edge as campers trained in the fields, laughed around the hearth and just all around seemed to have a good time. Which sucked for you, cause you were having as far from a good time as you could.
Nobody here liked you. Nobody even tried to get to know you. You'd been here for two weeks and already lost whatever friends you could have had day three due to your father.
Camp life couldn't be any duller. Honestly part of you didn't blame the half bloods that had turned. You had heard the stories from other campers about the battle that took place. And yeah. Part of you was siding with them.
Some commotion caught your attention as a group of girls came into camp at a light jog. You tilted your head in confusion, some type of boarder patrol? Did something happen?
Your confusion spiked when those group of girls settled themselves into the Artemis Cabin. Artemis didn't have children... as far as you knew. So who the hell were they?
With spiked curiosity, you scrambled to the back end of the roof and jumped to the tree you had used to get up there. Climbing back down and running to the Artemis Cabin.
You knocked when you got there, obviously. You didn't want to just run in on them. Especially when they were all armed with bows and other various weapons.
A teenager who looked no older than you opened the door, her striking blue eyes almost immediately caught your attention. As did her punk rock clothing style. You fought the urge to say 'woah', because that would be pretty lame.
"Can I help you?" The girl didn't look overly pleased to see you. Whoever you were.
You found yourself straightening your posture almost immediately, cheeks flushed as you rambled out a response," Hey! I'm uh- Y/N L/N. New to camp- who are you? Last I checked Artemis didn't have children... no offence."
The girl rolled her eyes, though she seemed amused by you and decided to humour you. Just a little, considering you're new and all," Thalia Grace, Daughter of Zeus and Lieutenant for the Hunters of Artemis."
Your eyes widened," you're a daughter of Zeus?" That explained the eyes and intense stare," am I supposed to bow-? How does this work?"
She laughed and shook her head," Gods no. Don't be stupid. So who's your Godly parent?"
You hesitated, not really wanting to say it but something in you felt like you shouldn't lie to this girl," ...Kronos."
Everyone in the cabin stopped and stared at you. The silence was deafening.
"So you're the one Annabeth was talking about," Thalia murmured. Giving you a once over that made you stiffen and smile awkwardly," pretty brave of you to admit that. You do know who Kronos is, don't you? What he's done?"
You nodded slowly," people haven't stopped telling me.." From the moment you were claimed, it seemed everyone had something negative to say about your father. There was a point where Mr D had even debated kicking you out of camp, but Chiron suggested you stayed. Learned the ropes. He felt sympathy for you, with Kronos being his father too.
"Yeah, no doubt. He's traumatized at least half of them in someway." Thalia said, arms folding across her chest.
"You mean the battle?" You asked, she nodded. Her expression grim.
"Just be glad you missed it."
And that was the last of your conversation with her, throughout the day you continued what you always did. Keeping your distance from everyone, visiting Chiron at the big house, training and whatever else.
It was just before dinner when you decided to pop by the big house for the second time that day, having a few questions for your half brother.
"Chiron?" You called out as you walked in, he had told you before you could come by whenever.
"In here," He called back from the living room.
You walked in and found him talking with Thalia, who had stopped whatever conversation she was having and was getting ready to leave.
"Wait just a minute, Miss Grace." Chiron said, she looked a little annoyed but waited," Have you met Y/N?"
"Briefly." Thalia murmured.
"So it seems," He sighed and glanced at you, before looking at the girl again. "Would you be able to help her with some training?" He left out the part about how no one else was willing to teach you, so you'd been training on your own.
You felt embarrassed that he was asking her to do this and tried to look anywhere but Thalia.
"Fine." Thalia stood and walked past you," Come on."
"But-" You started but she looked back at you with a sharp gaze, which immediately got you to listen and follow after. A blush coating your cheeks.
"We will discuss whatever you need to later tonight, Y/N." Chiron assured you before you were out the door, giving him a small nod.
You followed Thalia, struggling to keep up with her; you couldn't help but admire the girl. She was clearly strong, confident... you weren't at all surprised she was a lieutenant. She definitely gave the vibes of a leader, than again her father was Zeus. So it only made sense to you that she would be good at that sort of thing.
It's been a few days now since your training with Thalia and the two of you had had more moments since. Whether it would be you were in the same activities or just paired up for training. Neither of you really mind, though. Sure Thalia had had complaints about you at the start... but now that she knew you it wasn't so bad. The two of you were becoming friends.
You had started realizing you felt more. Or at least... you thought you felt more. You'd talked with Piper a bit on it, with her helping you to realize your feelings. She never specifically told you you were gay, because she wanted that to be your own discovery. But she left you little tidbits here and there.
It took a while, but by the time you had realized she had already left and was back on the road with the Hunters. So you never did get to tell her how you felt and it seemed to awkward to tell her over an iris message, which was something the two of you did often.
Maybe you would tell her the next time you saw her, whenever that was. And if you didn't chicken out.

Becoming a potion brewer wasn't your end goal once you had left school, but it helped put a roof over your head and pay for your other hobbies. Plus, your abilities had only improved with time which helped your clientele spread out past the town you lived in. Which was how you met Wooyoung, a wizard a little older than you from a few towns over. He was one of your only clients that would make a house visit to pick up an order, you usually just delivered right to the other towns a few times during the week.
Today, Wooyoung had decided to stop in and order instead of writing to you beforehand, which led to him hanging around your place while you worked on his order. He was no different from a house cat, walking around and exploring, getting too close to what you were working on and nearly ruining it.
"Woo for the love of gods please stay to that side of my cauldron! I don't want you knocking any of my ingredients off the shelves! I don't refund if you fuck up your own order!" You huffed, readjusting your hair and getting back to your brewing.
"Alright! Sorry, just nosey, you know I have no idea how any of this works! That's like, the main reason I come see you," he wandered back over to the other side of your brewing room, reading the spines of all your potion creating books.
"It's fine to be curious but too much curiosity and you can end up with a horrible result," you stopped stirring and looked up to face him, "this has to sit and simmer for a little longer. I'm going to run outside and check my request letters. Do not touch what's brewing or you'll be so sorry." He nodded his head repeatedly.
"Yes ma'am, I'll stay over here and read your books." He gave you a half salute as you walked up your stairs.
Oh, but of course, he was lying to you.
As soon as he saw you were out of eyesight, he crept over to your cauldron, peering in to see what you had made him. He inhaled and immediately went into a coughing fit.
"Gods this reeks! I can't have this shit sitting in my house, it'll drive all my company away!" He fanned his hand in front of his nose to rid the smell as he scanned your shelves for some aromatic he could sneak in. "Yeah, this'll do," he reached for a bottle you had labeled 'red ginseng' and carefully plucked it from your shelf. He had no idea how much to add, but surely a handful of this stuff would rid his potion of that awful smell. Wooyoung poured a handful [and whatever spilled out of his hand] into the mixture and watched it to make sure he didn't blow your house up.
Thankfully he didn't, but he changed the color of the potion by mistake, what was once a bright blue, now made a dull brownish hue. Wooyoung frantically scanned your shelves for something to fix his stupid mistake, surely you had something that could reverse something as simple as a color change??
There was something that caught his eye, on your bottom shelf, tucked away in the back was a bottle with the label peeling off, but from what he could read, it seemed promising.
"Hmm.. 'use in only your most dire of situations' or, something like that." He shrugged, surely that's what the barely there label said. He didn't have much time to think about it as he heard your front door close. He ran back to the cauldron, dumping the rest of the contents of the bottle into it and quickly stirring with the spoon you'd left out. He tucked the bottle into his inner pocket and ran back to your bookshelf just as your footsteps were heard on the stairs.
You squinted at him as you reached the bottom of the staircase, "I really didn't think you'd listen, I thought for sure you would blow my house up."
He chuckled weakly as he flipped randomly through one of your books, "yeah of course I would listen to you! Wouldn't want my order to get messed up like you said," he kept his eyes down at the book as you walked over to your cauldron.
"This should be done now, I'm gonna give it a quick taste test," you took your cauldron off the heat, grabbing your spoon and bringing some of the finished product to your lips, slowly sipping as it was still so hot. Right away something seemed off to you, "strange," Wooyoung moved his eyes to watch you, "Woo, you ordered just a food enhancing potion right?" He nodded. "Can you come taste this? It tastes different from the other batches I've made for you."
He cautiously got up, coming right next to you as you lifted your spoon to his mouth. Taking as much as you did, he spoke after a moment, "yeah it's sort of off, I guess."
You squinted your eyes for a second before realizing and whacking him on the arm with your spoon, "you idiot! I knew you did something to this! What did you add?!"
He backed up, attempting to run from your swings, "nothing bad! Just something to make it smell better! Ow!"
"Woo!" *thwack!* "That's what I was going to do after it was done simmering!" *thwack!* "Show me exactly what you put in here!" *thwack!*
He walked around you as you stood with your spoon still in hand and pointed to the jar of red ginseng.
"And how much did you put in?"
He shrugged, "about a handful? Give or take."
You walked over to him and grabbed him by the shoulders, shaking him a little, "dude, when I say to not fuck with my stuff I mean it! Red ginseng is an aphrodisiac! Now we have to wait for this shit to run its course!" As you continued to shake him, something fell out of his robe and rolled onto the floor. You stopped and bent down to pick it up, you eyes nearly falling out of your head when you saw what it was.
You took a few deep breaths, "Wooyoung, I swear on all my mothers, did this come from my shelf too?"
He tried to take a few steps away but you grabbed his arm, tightly. "It might have....."
If you knew any of the spells to instantly kill someone surely your first victim would be Wooyoung.
You took another deep breath in, "Woo, did it ever occur to you that maybe this bottle was in the way back of my shelf for a reason? That maybe it's a little stronger than most of my ingredients?"
He shook his head no.
"Woo. Maybe if you had taken the time to try and read the barely there label, you would've seen that it says 'use in only your most desirable situations'. This is a very strong aphrodisiac! So not only did you add one aphrodisiac, you added another, ridiculously strong aphrodisiac to that! So now we are actually going to have to suffer while waiting for this to wear off!"
He went over to the chaise lounge chair you had by your bookcase and sprawled out on it, "alright look, we just have to wait it out. How bad could that be?"
----
Turns out it was really, really bad.
You began to count the stones on the floor to distract yourself from the worsening symptoms. Nothing was working. Every time you got to five or six your brain would reroute to all of the nasty things Wooyoung could do to you. You had to keep shaking your head to reset your thoughts but things kept getting worse and worse. As time went on and you tried to wait it out, you kept moving your eyes from the floor to Wooyoung’s hands, to the seam where his pants met, mind drifting to wondering how big his cock might be, if he knew how to use it, what he sounds like. You could feel your skin growing hotter, face starting to flush, more dirty thoughts were starting to crowd your brain. Your vision was about to go when Wooyoung called your name,
"How long can this go on?"
You met his eyes, "I'm really not sure, I've never had this happen before."
He began to crawl forward on the lounge, "well, what if we did something to help get rid of the symptoms?"
Your head was already starting to get foggy, without thinking you started to crawl towards him, "and what should we do?"
You met him at the edge of the lounge chair, nose to nose, lips just barely touching. He turned his head so he could whisper in your ear, “I think we should fuck each others' brains out, on this chair, until the symptoms wear off. And maybe even after they wear off I'll continue to make you feel good, yeah?"
Your breathing hitched and you swore he could hear your heartbeat, he turned back to meet your eyes and you leaned in to grab him in a deep kiss, crawling up to lean back on the chair with him under you.
"Aw, pretty girl wants me to make her feel good? That what you want?"
You whimpered and nodded your head quickly. The aphrodisiacs were putting your body into overdrive, rendering you unable to think about anything other than getting this man inside of you. You were grabbing at anything you could reach, shrugging his robe off his shoulders, followed by yours hitting the ground; soon it was a frenzy of fabrics flying around the room until you were both naked. In the mess of taking clothes off, you two had switched positions on the couch, you were now lying under Wooyoung, which gave him perfect access to your entire body. His lips began kissing and sucking and biting all over your neck, leaving small hickies that would surely darken as he continued. His hands wandered all over, unable to find a spot to rest. From groping your ass, to moving up and grabbing your tits, flicking and tweaking your nipples as he moved. His lower half wouldn’t stay still either, his cock constantly grinding against your bare pussy, making you leak onto the lounge and only aiding in making you feel like your skin was on fire. His lips continued biting and licking at your neck, moving up to your ear and lightly biting it, letting go to whisper, “what do you need babe? tell me what you want.”
You sighed and moaned, trying to hold on to the last bit of sanity you had, “fuck me Woo please, please I need you so badly right now I’ll do whatever you want just please get inside of me.”
He moved his head so he could see your face, dropping one of his hands down low so he could line up with your entrance, watching your face change as he guided the tip of his cock up and down your slit, hitting your clit each time, making you moan and groan as frustration started to build up. He grinned, “what’s the matter baby? can’t wait? that desperate to have me?”
You sighed as he bumped your clit again, “yes I don’t know how you aren’t! Please just get inside of me—” he finally pushed into you, cutting off your train of thought as he bottomed out inside of you. You hadn’t gotten the chanced to really look at how big he was, but from the stretch you could tell he was decently big, enough to make you drop your jaw and let your legs fall to either side of him. He locked eyes with you and flashed a wicked grin as he continued to push into you. You turned your head to the side, unable to hold the very intimate eye contact with him. Just as you felt him fully sheathe himself inside of you, he groaned and whispered into your ear, “if I had known you felt this good, I would have fucked with my order much sooner."
You had no idea how his brain wasn't as foggy as yours right now, the aphrodisiacs rendering you nothing more than a mumbling, moaning mess underneath him. Your hands against his back, dragging your nails down the expanse of it was your last ditch effort to try and stay on Earth.
He started to pound into you, strong arms caging you in on either side of your head. Eventually, one of his hands found its way down your body and to your clit, lightly rubbing it in time with his thrusts.
You moaned loudly at the added stimulation, not too far away from climax, Wooyoung picked up on that and kept the same pace, but leaned down towards your ear to continue whispering absolute filth to you.
"Come on pretty girl, I know it's right there just come for me."
"You're taking me so well, such a good girl."
Your orgasm hit you so quickly you didn't have time to register it even happening at first, hitting you so hard your back arched off the lounge, Wooyoung sealing your lips in a kiss as he continued to fuck you through it. After you came down, he pulled out,
"I'm not done with you, think you have the energy to get on top?"
You shook your head yes, and he flipped you two over, you now sitting right above his achingly hard cock, lining it up with your entrance and sinking down with a hiss. Wooyoung moaned loudly at the new position. You began to bounce your hips up and down, the lounge slightly creaking under you two. You sat up a bit so you could look at the man under you, an idea popping into your head immediately. You snaked your hand up to the column of his throat and gave a light squeeze at the sides, earning a gasp and another moan from Wooyoung.
You flashed a wicked grin at him now, "aw does that feel good? I had a feeling you would like that." You added a little more pressure to his neck and bounced with more vigor on his cock.
He looked up at you and whimpered, "yes, yes I fucking love it please don't stop." He gripped your hips tightly, likely bruising them in the process, encouraging you to keep at the pace you had set.
All that could be heard throughout your house were the sounds of creaking from the lounge you two were on, and combined moans from the both of you. You could tell that he was getting close from the way his whimpers got higher.
You released your hand from his neck, opting to pull at his hair lightly as you bent down to whisper in his ear, "come on pretty boy, I want you to come for me, give it to me."
He started to buck his hips up into you, rapidly chasing his high. Your second orgasm wasn't too far behind, you took your hand out of his hair and reached back down to rub your clit, trying to finish nearly at the same time as him. His moans grew so rapid and desperate, you knew he wasn't going to last much longer.
Your second climax came with a blurring vision and ringing in your ears, moaning so loudly as you came around him for the second time. Shivering and shaking as he pulled out of you and finished on your chest and stomach, moaning and groaning as he rode out his high.
You both sat there for a moment catching your breath, trying to register if the aphrodisiacs had finally worn off yet. You still had this buzzing feeling on your skin, groaning with frustration.
Wooyoung sat up on his elbows and looked up at you, "do you still feel it too?"
You huffed, "yes. I thought that would have fixed it."
He laughed as he flipped you two back over, "let me see if this will help."
He lifted your legs onto his shoulders as he got down onto his knees, face right in line with your still throbbing clit. He licked a long, painfully slow stripe up your slit, causing you to loll your head back and let out a low groan, already feeling close again.
Your hands found purchase in his hair, lightly tugging at it to encourage him to continue. He groaned at the sensation, sending vibrations through your body, giving you chills down your spine.
He continued to lick and suck at your clit, adding his fingers, curling them into you. You gripped tighter onto his hair, feeling like you could tip over the edge at any second.
Before you could get there, he stopped and sat up, earning a whine from you.
He took your legs off his shoulders, "get on your hands and knees, I want to be inside of you again."
You happily complied and flipped over, wiggling your ass a little at him, earning a slap on your cheeks. You let you another loud moan as he lined up and entered you with ease, beginning to fuck you into the lounge again.
The sound of skin slapping on skin could be heard throughout your house as he pounded into you, his hands gripping onto your hips to keep you from sliding down. Your orgasm from before already creeping up on you, Wooyoung decided to snake one of his hands up your back and into your hair, pulling you so your back was flush with his chest.
From this angle you could feel every inch of him, hitting that spot inside of you that was about to send you over the edge, he brought you closer by your hair and started to kiss and bite your neck, making you moan loudly. He chuckled as he let up on you, admiring his work of purples, blues, and a little bit of red that now adorned your neck. He moved up a little more to bite your ear, and that, combined with his thrusts and his grip on your hair, was enough to send you toppling over the edge again, making you nearly scream at the sensation. He left kisses along your cheek, jawline, and neck as you continued to ride your high.
"Think you can hang in there a little more? I'm so close baby." He loosened his grip on your hair, letting you fall forward onto your elbows.
"Yeah give it to me, come for me again, Woo." He moaned and picked his pace back up again, focusing on his orgasm as you laid there and took it.
He gave you a couple more hard thrusts before he was pulling out again, finishing on your back this time. You let your hips fall as he stood up, both of you taking in deep breaths.
You weakly stood up, now very aware of how sticky you felt. You huffed, "I think that finally did the fucking trick, I'm exhausted but I absolutely need a shower before I lay in my bed."
He laughed at the state of you, "yeah. Definitely. Sorry about that, let me help you." He guided you up your stairs and to your bathroom, keeping a hand on your waist as he turned your shower on, making sure the temperature was alright. He pulled back the shower curtain and allowed you to step in, following in behind you.
Once you both were cleaned off he turned the faucet off and guided you to your bedroom, helping you get dressed as you offered him something to wear.
You looked up at him as you crawled into bed, "you coming?"
He stared at you, "are you sure?"
You laughed, "of course I am! I'm not just going to let you go home after all of that!" He smiled as he crawled into bed, snuggling up behind you.
"Of course, I also want to make sure that the effects really, truly wore off, you know?''
You heard him chuckle behind you, "Oh yeah, of course."

A Reveal
*Yeets this into the void* Have the third part to the Chaos Trio. I've had this sitting in my docs for a little while now and I finally decided I wasn't going to add any more to it for now. This chapter has no Frank sadly but he'll be back, don't worry.
Word Count: 1666
Pairing: Matt Murdock x Reader x Frank Castle
Tumblr media
Daredevil stood outside your door and shifted his weight back and forth. He wasn't injured, he had no real reason to be here, and yet… outside your door he stood. Frank's words had been bothering him for some time now and he tried to pretend it was just a rough night driving him to seek your comfort but it was so much more. It was months of yearning on his end, of wanting more but being too afraid to act on it. He told himself that tonight he was going to tell you who he was. He was going to open up to you and hoped you would, in turn, do the same.
He just had to find the courage to open your door.
He tilted his head, listening in on where you were in the house. It sounded like you were in the kitchen, maybe making a late night snack from the sounds he was picking up. He smiled softly to himself. He knew you stayed up for him and it meant more than he would ever be able to put into words, even if he wished you would get more sleep. But who was he to call you on your sleeping habits?
Taking a deep breath, the Devil of Hell's Kitchen forced himself to open your door.
"D, is that you?" You called out.
"Yeah, it's me." Daredevil moved through your space with a practiced smoothness, telling of months of being familiar with the space. He made his way to your couch and sat down.
"Don't stop what you're doing, I'm not injured." He called out when he heard you move towards the sink. He heard you stop and cock your head, before slowly returning to making your snack.
"Is this a social visit then?"
"You could call it that, yeah." You chuckled and finished what you were doing before moving to sit across from him. But D stopped you before you could, gently guiding you to sit beside him. You furrowed your brow but did as he requested. It was quiet for several minutes as he seemed to be getting his thoughts together.
"Is everything alright, D? You're scaring me here." You said with a nervous laugh. To your immense surprise, Daredevil reached up and pulled his mask off.
"Matt. My name is Matthew Murdock." You gaped at him, eyes greedily drinking in his newly exposed face.
"What- Why-" You cleared your throat. "Why are you telling me this?"
"Because after everything you've done for me, you deserve to know. That, and… I want you to know. I want you to know who I am underneath this suit." Tears welled up and Daredevil's, no Matt's hands came up to cup your cheeks.
"Don't cry." He whispered.
"I'm sorry, I don't mean to, I just… I was beginning to think you'd never tell me who you were." You admitted quietly. Matt's heart broke at your words and he pulled you into his arms to hug you close.
"I was always going to tell you. I just… had to stop being afraid first." He felt your arms come up to rest around him, your fingers skirting over his suit in a soothing motion.
"You? Afraid? I don't believe it." You teased, pulling a chuckle from Matt's mouth.
"I know it doesn't seem like it, but there's plenty I'm afraid of." Matt smoothed a hand down your back. "I was especially afraid of telling you who I was."
"Why though? You have to know I won't tell anyone."
"Of course I know that. It's just, if I get too close to you, someone could find out and use you to get to me. That… that happened to a friend of mine. They found out she was connected to the man in the mask and they used her as bait to drag me out. Beat the hell out of her because she wouldn't tell them anything. Not that she knew much then, but still. I've had a hard time getting close to people since…" Matt explained.
"That why you're friends with Castle? Cause he can take care of himself?"
"Something like that. Our priorities line up occasionally and if I'm around, I can tend to lower the body count." You both chuckled at that. Slowly, you pulled back to look at Matt. He let you pull away to an extent, but kept his hands on you. You brought your hands up to gently cup his cheeks, thumbs brushing just below his eyes.
"You know… I always believed everything you told me but somehow seeing that you're blind… I don't know, I guess I just had a hard time believing that part before." Matt cracked a smile. "What you didn't tell me is how beautiful your eyes are."
Matt cleared his throat, his cheeks heating beneath your palms.
"They don't bother you?"
"What do you mean?"
"It… tends to bother people that I can't look them in the eye." You ground your teeth together at that, angry for him.
"That is completely absurd. It's not like you're doing it on purpose. So, no, it doesn't bother me and it never will."
"Good." Matt whispered before clearing his throat. "I was thinking that we could spend tonight talking. I want to answer any questions you have."
You smiled brightly at that.
"You may end up regretting that." You warned him and he laughed.
"No. No, I don't think I will." A warmth filled you at his words and you got settled into the couch to start asking questions.
You asked him everything you could think of. What he did for a living, his hobbies outside of the firm and being a vigilante, his favorite foods, how sensitive his senses really were. And he answered every question with the utmost sincerity.
It wasn't one sided either. Matt asked you questions too and you answered them all. You told him simple things like your favorite color and favorite food but also deeper things like what you were scared of. He had been shocked to learn that he played a part in your fears.
"I just… sometimes I'm scared you're going to come to me with wounds beyond my capabilities. Or that you won't make it to me at all. Those are valid concerns." You told him. He made a soft noise before he reached for you, gently pulling you into his lap and pressing his forehead to yours.
"I promise you I will always try to make it back to you." You smiled and leaned into his touch.
"I can deal with that."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah."
"Good." Matt nuzzled his nose against yours and you couldn't help the way your breath hitched at how close he was to you. Matt smirked as he picked up on your uptick in heart rate.
"Sweetheart?"
"Yes, Matt?"
"Can I kiss you?"
"Please."
The first press of his lips to yours was a soft, tentative thing. A barely there brush of skin. But the second kiss? Oh, the second kiss was an explosion of all the pent up passion the two of you had been harboring for each other. Matt's mouth pressed to yours, his lips moving in tandem with your own, was like a dream come true for you. Matt's hands slid to your hips to squeeze while your hands slid into his hair to tug, which pulled a deep moan from Matt's throat. You grinned into the kiss and he nipped your bottom lip in retaliation. Both of you chuckled as you pulled apart and pressed your foreheads together, not interested in space. Matt was the first to break the silence.
"Can I take you out to dinner sometime? I want to take you on a proper date." You grinned and nodded quickly.
"Yes. I'd love that."
"Good. I know a place. How does Friday at 7 sound?"
"I can make that work." You told him. He smiled and leaned up to kiss you again, softly this time. One of his hands gently slid around the side of your neck and he held you there for just a few moments.
"It's getting late." He murmured. "I should probably go. Let you get some sleep."
"Or you could stay. Since you wouldn't have to sleep in the mask." You offered. He gave a rueful little smile.
"I would, but I don't have any clothes to wear for tomorrow. And I fear if I stay with you tonight, I'll be unable to keep my hands to myself." You chuckled, cheeks heating with his admission.
"And that's a bad thing… why?"
"I want to do this right." He admitted quietly. "You deserve better than that and I want to give it to you."
You smiled at his words and leaned back enough to kiss his forehead.
"Well, when you put it like that…" You both laughed and Matt pulled you in close again, hugging you tightly.
"Thank you for understanding." You buried your head into the crook of his neck, holding him as tightly as he held you.
"You don't have to thank me for that. Your logic is sweet." You pulled away and pressed one more quick kiss to his lips before standing up. Matt followed your lead and the both of you headed for the door. Matt quickly donned his mask before opening the door and stepping out into the night.
"I'll call you?" He said, a hopeful lilt to his voice.
"Sounds good. I'll see you soon." And with that, he was gone. You closed and locked the door behind him before turning and leaning against it. You pressed two fingers to your lips then squealed, jumping up and down a couple times. You couldn't believe tonight had really happened. Not only did Matt tell you who he was but he returned your feelings. It felt too good to be true.
You floated on cloud nine as you got ready for bed. Finally laying down, you fell asleep with a smile on your face.

Was messing around the incorrect quotes generator cuz I was mostly inspired by ur partner with xer chazmint quotes and I wanted to fuck around with them - anyway, here's sum w/ staticradio, mixedtime and, introducing, chazmint to the mix :)
Melissa: Hey, what have you two been doing? Kitty: we were helping Papermint with his wedding vows and we were kicked out of their house for making it inappropriate. Travis: How is “Nice ass, Chaz” inappropriate?
Vox: Guys, I’ve been meaning to tell you… Alastor and I are dating. Alastor, Velvette, Rosie, and Charlie: gasp Vox: Al, why are you surprised?!
Bezel: Hey, I was wondering, have any of you guys ever seen Chaz's bedroom? Vox : No, he refuse to let any of us visit. You know what that means. Trazuil, nodding: Dungeon. Bezel, nodding: Rich. Alastor, nodding: Homeless. Feedback, nodding: Secretly in the mafia. Vox: What? No, I meant he's messy. What the hell is wrong with all of you?
Chaz: You know, when Bezel comes over, Trazuil can get a little… Vox : Psycho? Papermint: Scary? Alastor: Drunk? Chaz: All three.
Trazuil: Look, last night was a mistake. Bezel : A sexy mistake. Trazuil: No, just a regular mistake.
Vox : Dom or sub? Alastor: I guess Domino's, since I don't go to Subway that much. Don't see why you'd put them in the same category though.
Alastor: Hey, I’m getting in the shower. Wanna help me out? Vox : …Have you never taken a shower before?
Bezel : You look good in that hoodie. Trazuil: You know where else I'd look good? Bezel , zero hesitation: My bed. Trazuil, at the same time: By your side- wait, what?
Trazuil: look Bezel , I'm not slut shaming you but… Trazuil: Actually yeah, I'm TOTALLY slut shaming you.
Alastor: Vox , what do you call people you go out with but don’t try to sleep with? Vox : …People?
Vox: Is it still visible? Where Alastor slapped me? Bezel : Your face looks like a don't walk signal. Chaz: Your face looks like a photo negative for the hamburger helper box. Trazuil: A palm reader could tell Alastor's future by looking at your face. Feedback: The phrase 'talk to the hand cause the face ain't listening' doesn't work for you, because the hand is your face. Vox: …A simple 'yes' would've sufficed.
Papermint: Chaz kissed me! Bezel : Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God! Papermint: It was unbelievable! Bezel : Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God! Vox: Okay, we wanna hear everything. Bezel, get the wine and unplug the phone. Papermint, does this end well or do we need tissues? Papermint: Oh, it ended very well. Bezel : Do not start without me! Do not start without me! Vox: Okay, alright, let’s hear about the kiss. Was it a soft brush against your lips or was it like a, you know, “I gotta have you now” kind of thing? Papermint: Well, at first it was really intense, you know? And then, oh God, and then we just sort of sunk into it. Vox: Ohh… So, okay, was he holding you? Or was his hands on your back? Papermint: First he started out on my waist and then they slid up and then they were in my hair. Bezel and Vox: Ohhh. meanwhile Chaz eating pizza in the apartment: And, uh, and then I kissed him. Alastor: Tongue? Chaz: Yeah. Travis: Cool.
Chaz: Are you an F5 key? Because that ass is refreshing. Papermint: Are you a software update? because not right now.
Papermint: I don't need to go to bed. I'm not tired, I'll be fine. Chaz: But, darling, I'll be so lonely without you. Come curl up in my arms so I can feel whole again. Papermint: O-oh. Well. Are you trying to seduce me into healthy sleeping patterns?? Chaz: Is it working?
I am very proud of myself 4 doing this >:D

d word matty and long distance relationship with you? like him being on tour, while you are still in london working for dh?
combining with thinking about d word matty on tour and reader has to stay back/can’t be with them for some of the tour… smutty phone calls
i think it's never as bad with the two of you and touring as it would be if you had any other job - as jamie's assistant/second-in-command, you're always with the boys for at least part of the tour, if not the full thing (like you might do the entirety of the shorter legs). and i won't go too much into the ins and outs of you being on tour with matty, because i feel like that's a separate blurb in itself lol. but it's good, and you both definitely miss each other when you're apart. it's a lot of voice note monologuing in lieu of extensive phone calls in wildly different time zones (i feel like you're very much both on the vibe of "babe you have work tomorrow you need to sleep" lol), although you do have at least one little phone call a day; a lot of you sending matty pics and vids of you and the dogs and the flowers he gets delivered to you and cool things you see throughout the day, and him sending selfies and pics of places he visits with captions like "you'd love this. i'll bring you here for a weekend when i'm off"; a lot of "work is good, but i miss you. i love you. i'll see you in two weeks". if timezones allow, you try to do a facetime food date once or twice a week - matty calls you with his dinner while you're having your morning coffee, or vice versa, just to keep a sense of "togetherness" while you're apart and operating on different timescales. it's hard, but it works, and the reunions are always extra sweet.
in addition to the facetime food dates... phone sex moments when you're both in bed, even if one is morning and the other is night. never too long, and never as good as when you're together, but it does the job; you know each other's bodies so well that dirty talk hits, and you can talk each other into rapid orgasms, which is kinda amazing. while i don't think there's a lot of sending nudes - there's some, but i fully think you'd have a polaroid nude photoshoot before matty leaves and he takes the resulting pics with him (he leaves you some of him though), so he tends to opt for them for like ease/safety reasons - the phone sex is still dirty; the d word is sometimes used, and matty's definitely bought you toys specifically to use while he's away and he coaches you using them over the phone (but his favourite phrase is "i know you wish it was me. nothing and nobody can make you feel as good as i do, right, princess? wish i was fucking you and not my hand, god, i can't wait to come home and make you feel good myself"). yeah... the phone sex is good <3

How do you think the obey me cast would react to Mc with a friend who is constantly high? They always have a blunt in their hand and there has never been a moment where Mc has seen them not high. 💀 They know Mc and pretty well and give good advice to both Mc and the guys too.
The Demon Bros & MC with a stoner best friend
After months of convincing Diavolo and Barbatos that your best human friend promised not to cause any trouble, they're finally allowed to visit for a weekend.
You first introduce Lucifer, as he's waiting at the door for you to return, and can instantly tell his guard is up. His eyes scan your friend as one hand clutches yours for support (while you'd told them how much bigger the demons are, even outside of their demon forms, there was really no way to imagine it until they were right there), the other holding what he assumed to be some sort of weed device.
"Welcome to the Devildom," he smiled, "I'm Lucifer, eldest brother and Avatar of Pride. We're all excited to finally meet our MC's best friend"
Your friend nodded, "Thanks, Lucifer." They then turned towards you, a knowing sparkle in their eyes as you tried not to blush. Before they could ask Lucifer the question they'd been dying to, Mammon and Asmodeus came bounding down the stairs.
"GET BACK HERE YOU THEIF!" Asmo yelled, and you couldn't help but laugh as Lucifer rubbed his temple.
"Mammon. Asmodeus." Lucifer's voice stopped them both in their tracks, and they turned to him.
"Lucifer I-" Mammon started to interject, but was cut off
"HELLO!" Asmo rushed over to your friend and wrapped them in a giant hug, "You must be [name]! I didn't think you'd be here so early in the morning, or I would have freshened up before meeting you! ♡"
Your friend blinked a few times before responding. "You must be Asmodeus," a smile met their lips, "I've heard so much about you"
You glanced to Lucifer, whose eyes read 'really?'
You smirked and wriggled your eyebrows at him, to which he rolled his eyes. You loved getting to tease the Avatar of Pride after finally achieving a close relationship with him.
Asmo was going in to pinch their cheeks when Mammon bust in, shoving himself between them. "Hey hey hey! If you've heard about lousy ol' Asmo here, then you've definitely heard about the Great Mammon!"
"In your dreams" Satan had the unfortunate (for him) timing to be getting home from RAD at the time this was all going down. He cut past your friend, stopping briefly to greet them before heading to, you assumed, the library. But the lingering stare on your friend wasn't as sneaky as he thought.
"Satan. Welcome to literal hell, and my own personal hell. Good luck with these idiots"
Your friend laughed as he walked away, "You were right, I do like Satan"
"Like hell yah do! Come on, [name], us and MC will have a great time without that prick" Mammon grabbed your hand and pulled both of you away from the door, Asmo following along.
You turned to Lucifer and smiled before being taken to the kitchen, glad that was Mammon's destination because you were starving.
To no surprise, you found Beelzebub sitting at the counter, an abundance of food spread in front of him. You all sat down beside him, and a comfort settled over the group.
"Hey, you're MC's friend, right?"
They nodded yes
"I'm Beel, good to meet you" he said through a mouth full of food. Without skipping a beat, he continued, "So, you smoke"
Your eyes widened, not expecting Beel of all demons to call attention to the fact that your friend was high.
"Oh yeah, all the time" they responded, "Helps me get through the day, ya know"
To your shock, Beel nodded. "I'm familiar. It's a pain to get actual weed down here, so I usually have Demonus if I need to unwind. Not the same, but MC here never brings anything back."
You'd never heard him be so open about smoking to anyone besides you and Belphie, but to be fair, Lucifer wasn't the biggest fan, so you guys tended to keep it on the down low.
"MC! You didn't tell me you guys smoked down here. I woulda come a lot sooner if I knew that!" your friend nudged your shoulder
"We don't, usually" Mammon interrupted, "Lucifer always has something to say if we do, and I don't like getting strung up from the ceiling while anything but sober"
"And I don't like all the smoke on my skin" Asmo added
"With the right skincare routine it isn't all that bad" your friend replied, and the table watched as Asmo's face lit up
"Oh man, here we go" Mammon plopped his head in his hand, "Beel, gimme some of that food. We're gonna be here for a while"
"Oh hush, Mammon. Can't I be excited that MC's friend enjoys skincare like I do? ♡ Tell me everything you use"
As your friend began telling Asmo the details of their skincare routine, Belphegor walked into the kitchen
"Hey," you greeted him, "I was wondering how long it'd take you to show up"
He sighed, "Where Beel is, I am. So this is your friend?"
"Yeah, it's been good so far. We've met everyone except Levi"
"Sounds about right"
You chuckled, "His room is our next stop"
The rest of you watched as your friend and Asmo hit it off, Asmo even taking a hit off their pen. You were glad that everyone was getting along so well. You'd learned how lucky you were to have gotten off on the right foot with the demon brothers, and finally breathed a sigh of relief that your friend seemed to be doing the same.
You'd relaxed into your conversation with Belphie and Mammon when the door to the kitchen crept open, and none other than Leviathan's head peeked around the corner.
"LEVI! Get in here!" you shouted before he could sneak away. You knew he was on a stealth mission to get snacks, but weren't about to let him get away with it. Not this time.
Levi walked in, hands shoved in his pockets, and stood.
"Levi, this is [name], my friend from the human world"
He looked up as your friend took a drag from their pen, the two exchanging a smile.
"H-hi. I'm Leviathan. Nice to meet you"
"Well hello Leviathan, nice to finally meet you too," your friend winked at him, "We're going to have to do some serious talking about some human world anime. Because I am a big fan and MC's told me all about your anime thoughts"
Levi's face blushed dark red, but he smiled happily and took his hands out of his pockets. Fidgeting with a bracelet in front of him, he responded "Oh! I didn't know MC would talk about me...well I can't wait to talk with both of you"
"We'll stop by tonight and can game and chat" you offered, glancing to your friend and nodding, signaling to both that the pen would be present.
Levi seemed to calm down immediately. Of any of the brothers, you and Levi smoked the most, though still not often. Maybe once a month or so. Neither of you really cared all that much whether or not you had it, but every once in a while it was fun to relax with.
"Deal. See ya later, Leviathan" your friend bidded him farewell as he grabbed an apple from Beel's spread and turned towards the door.
"Bye" Levi said over his shoulder as he left
"That went well" Belphie seemed to read your mind
"I know. I'm releived"
"What, didn't think we'd be nice to your human friend?"
You laughed awkwardly, realizing you unintentionally revealed your nerves. "It's not that, I just-"
"Don't worry, I would be nervous too bringing anyone into this house"
You sat back in silence and watched as the brothers got along with your friend. You were so worried that they'd tear them apart, one way or another, but just the opposite was happening. Sure, Lucifer had given you a glance about the pen, and some of the brothers weren't smokers, but they didn't seem to care that your friend was.
You knew as long as it didn't hurt you in any way, they'd be okay with just about anything.
--
Ta-Da! My first hc in ten months a ha ha <3 Originally thought I was going to have the brothers be more standoffish when they realized your friend was high upon meeting them, but I wrote what felt right and this was it. None of them really care, Lucifer is an old grandpa but the one that supports you even if he doesn't understand lol. The rest of them don't care whether someone is high, drunk, or whatever combination of the two. As long as you're safe and happy, little else matters because they are simps
edit: just re-read the prompt and realized that mc's friend has a pre-established relationship w the bros THAT IS MY BAD I DID NOT REMEMBER THAT!! I am so sorry anon <3 <3 <3 In my opinion, if someone is nice to MC and gives good advice / is chill w the demons then they don't have a problem w the friend being high a lot an exception to this would be Lucifer who would be worried about the long term effects, and Asmo who wouldn't like the smoke around his skin. I'd hc that your friend isn't a drug a**ict, just tends to smoke around the demons

Wait Moya and Haym are a thing?/gen
... I never actually talked about how that happened here, did I?
The short of it is that it initially started as a crackship that I eventually got attached to.
The gist of it is that whenever Ano would visit Barraca, Moya was always there with him. Forgive him for being a bit paranoid that his friend might get crushed by these bots that weigh a ton and move faster than he can blink at times. In the beginning he'd try to hide with Neon but Haym thought it'd be hilarious to annoy Mister Broods A Lot over there. His reasoning was "hey, this dude won't even look at us. five bucks says i can drive him nuts before he leaves."
One thing led to another and they started willingly spending a lot more time with each other. Quite literally a--
"bet i can drive you crazy without even trying! nobody's ever not liked me and you're no different!" x "the only reason id spend any more time thinking about you than i have to is to consider how fast i can take you apart" | "then think about me all you want! dad'd get to ya before you'd finish! or i'd explode ♡" | "you explode?"
to "you just needa relax some and maybe talk to people once in a while! you're really not that bad when you actually try to have a social reputation, dude" x "... huh. your vocabulary's bigger than i thought. less naïve too." | "wh-? HEY?"
to "you stopped beelining for dad's office the second you get inside the last few times. d'you think i haven't noticed that? what, are ya waiting for me now?" x "... maybe i am. you would've come to find me whether i like it or not so i figured i'd get it over with." | "i knew it! you wanna hang out with me! im irresistible!" | "you're pushing it."
to "look at that! you're not as much of an asshole as i thought! :D" x "no thanks to... what'd you say? 'nobody ever not liking you'?" | "exactly! guess your new name's nobody!" | "sure."
to "can you believe how mad you were all the time? you wanted nothing to do with me at first but i guess we're friends now, huh?" x "... yeah. friends."
to "oh no."
--situation with them.

A break from school was nearing, in less than a month, most of your friends would be out of Hogwarts and visiting family and friends outside of your magical school.
This meant that it was about time for a party before everyone left, and as always the party was planned by your friend group. They always seemed to be up for some fun, and ready to throw a party at a moments notice. Last year they'd thrown a party with the theme of everyone dressing up as teachers, the most popular professors to dress up as were Dumbledore and Mcgonagall, so there'd been countless attending the party that year, including James in an intricately accurate Mcgonagall costume, and yourself dressed as a very hung-over looking headmaster.
This year, Marlene and Sirius were in charge of choosing a theme, with frequent consultation with Lily regarding how practical it would be to throw a party in which everyone would cast a spell on themselves to shrink, and then ride the castle mice like horses (the answer from Lily was a look of utter disbelief followed by a loud 'No!').
Eventually your flamboyant friends decided on a theme, although they couldn't quite think of a name for it. Sirius described it as 'well uh, everything is shiny and fancy,' making sure to throw in a 'like me', before Marlene cut in to explain her understanding of the decided theme, 'think: you're a widowed queen and you're attending a royal party in hopes of finding the man who killed your wife, and you have several knives strapped to you, hidden beneath your ball gown', which was a far more detailed explanation than Sirius's, and strangely made a lot of sense.
"So like, royal glamour?" Remus interrupted the reverie.
"Yeah! Royal glamour!" Marlene exclaimed, while Sirius at the same time muttered a 'well, kind of, but it's more like-', but begrudgingly agreed after Marlene lightly elbowed him in his side.
Tumblr media
"Does this look right?" Lily asks, standing in front of the full body mirror, adjusting the gold crown that rests on her head.
"Yeah don't worry Lils, it looks beautiful, you look beautiful," Mary smiles as she walks up to her girlfriend and kisses her on the cheek.
It's currently just before 7pm, a bit more than half an hour until the party officially starts, but that gives you and your friends a bit less time to get ready, considering the fact that you guys are the ones throwing the party.
Marlene is sat on the sink in the dorm bathroom, putting on her makeup, while Dorcas does her hair, rolling her eyes at every other joke Marlene makes. Laughing at the couple, you turn back to the shoes you're putting on, they match your outfit perfectly, and compliment your several jewelleries that you've place across your body.
Zoning back into your surroundings, you hear the girls discussing the various decorations that you'd all managed to acquire for the party.
"I'm still not sold on the chandelier," Lily laughs, referencing the giant chandelier that Sirius had somehow come across and was now hanging from the ceiling of the common room. It was beautiful, but you and Lily shared the worry of someone possibly hanging from it by the end of the night (Lily's bets were on Marlene ending up swinging from it and screeching out obscenities and whatever else she cared to yell from up there, but you were certain that by the time the party was over that Lily would be drunk and stuck on top of the chandelier).
"What do you mean Lils! It's bloody amazing! Have you seen the thing?" Marlene gasps at Lily, as she does up Dorcas's dress, who smiles and gives Marlene a quick kiss before walking off to fix her hair and whisper to Mary about how cute and funny each other's partners are.
"Well, yeah Marls has a point, it does look very cool," You laugh at the two, Lily smiling at her friends and Marlene running to you with a big grin, high-fiveing you for defending her.
Glancing up at the clock, Mary grabs Lily's hand, and announces, "Well, it's getting closer to the starting time, the boys should be down there any minute, let's get going".
Marlene rests her arm around Dorcas's shoulder as you all follow Mary and Lily out of the dorm, chatting about how much fun this party is going to be, with all the food, decorations, outfits, 'and alcohol!' Marlene adds in, everyone laughing at how endearingly enthusiastic she is.
Tumblr media
Walking down the steps of the tower, the common room comes into sight, and, as it always is when you all throw a party, it looks incredible. The chandelier is in fact still hanging from the ceiling, despite everyone's unspoken doubt over the structural stability of the whole thing. There's decorations of sparkling crystals that look like twinkling stars that hang along the walls all around the common room, and the roof of the room is charmed to look like a beautifully clear night sky.
You and your friends laugh in almost disbelief at the incredible decorations. Smiling at each other, you all think the same thing, this was going to be a great night.

Hi!:D Can I request Connor Walsh and Wes Gibbins taking care of there’s gf/s/o when she/they has a really bad fever?
Hi dear! Sure thing! Enjoy the headcanons 💕 (PS: Reader is gender neutral because I wrote it in second POV)
Connor Walsh
He knew something was wrong when he came home to find you there, lying on the couch and 'watching' some cheesy rom-com
Yeah, not exactly 'watching' considering you were in no state to keep your eyes open for too long, leaving you half-asleep
The hot and cold flashes knocked you down a few notches in class, but when the weakness in your limbs also kicked in, you had to excuse yourself and return home several hour early
You foolishly thought it would pass without any need for a doctor visit or medication but were quickly proven wrong when you felt nothing except worse
Hell, you barely heard Connor entering the apartment but still wanted to go greet him with a hug like he would greet you
Problem is, you couldn't even sit up without a cold shiver running up your spine
And he, of course, wasn't blind to any of these details of your oncoming flu
He'd be such a mother about it though
A thermometer's in your mouth because you know it and he's already preparing a cold tower for your forehead
All done while he scolds you for not dressing for the weather and kicking the blankets off yourself in the middle of the night
Some time during his rant, you even had the audacity to say, 'Jeez, ok, mom.' Which only prompted him to get more irritated
But you knew it was a side effect of his mother hen personality - he was so worried about you he couldn't even pick a single way to express it
Further proof of this is that once he made sure you took a fever defusing pill, had enough liquid in your system and were comfortable, he finally let out a sigh of relief and kneeled down by the bed to finally ask you what you wanted
Although he already knew
"Cuddles, angel?"
"Yes, please"
Now you were both 'watching' the rom-com for approximately ten minutes before you both drifted off to sleep
Wes Gibbins
Wes had called you on his way out of Annalise's office to double check if you wanted to meet up at his place or yours for your movie date that Friday night
You'd told him that you had to cancel because you didn't want him exposing himself to whatever bug you had
Surprisingly enough, he was agreeing on the phone and didn't try to argue with you about it like you had thought he would but instead you agreed on a time to reschedule the date once you got better
What you didn't know is that, after the two of you hung up the call, he hopped on his bike and rode off straight to a pharmacy then a store to buy the typical 'get better soon' starter pack with some extra items
He heard how out of it you sounded over the phone, drowsy and tired and unlike your usual self one bit
He would've been damned if he didn't stop by to see you, probably wouldn't have been able to sleep that night either
But then again, he's come to realize that he's gotten so used to sleeping with you in his arms, he has trouble sleeping alone
So, truth be told, you weren't all that surprised to find him knocking on your door barely twenty minutes after the two of you spoke on the phone
The date still took place but with a twist to it which turned Wes into a nurse and you a patient who wasn't allowed to complain about any of the treatments without sounding like a hypocrite, for every time he has been sick you've been hella bossy with him
But you'd be lying if you said you did want to complain
It felt like a little vacation if you could overlook the medication and the symptoms of your fever
But what really made it perfect was when he slipped under the covers with you, despite your protests and warnings that he too would get sick
"So what? If I do we'll be stuck home together. Doesn't that sound just wonderful?" He asked, kissing your cheek as his arms engulfed you in a safe, warm embrace
"Guess it wouldn't be bad..." You mused, stealing another kiss from him before you could slip into some much needed slumber

Bucky ignored the princess tiara that was sat on his head thanks to Morgan making him wear it (along with Sam and Steve), and focused on you and his little girl. Even though she was here and almost four months old, Bucky still couldn't believe she was actually real and all his and yours. She was perfect. You, we're perfect.
"Buck, you listening?" Steve nudged his friend.
Bucky blinked and tore his gaze away from you as you fed his daughter. "Hmm?"
"Course he ain't listening. Look at him, all lovesick puppy, drooling over his baby's mama." Sam teased before taking a swig of his beer.
Bucky let out a heavy sigh making both men laugh at him.
"Ignore him, Buck, he's just jealous." Steve smiled and put his hand on Bucky's shoulder. "How is fatherhood treating you?"
Bucky's lips stretched out into a giant grin. "It's great."
He really loved being a dad. The past year had been a roller-coaster of emotions, but Bucky didn't regret his decision he made that day you told him.
"And how's the new house coming along? Y/N said you've been working hard." Steve smiled, although he was a little disheartened he hadn't had the time recently to help you and Bucky out.
"Almost finished." Bucky grinned, "Just got the master bedroom and guest room to redecorate and then that's the whole house."
"Then you've got the yard to start." Sam reminded.
Bucky nodded, "Yeah... Gonna need all the help I can get with that." He chuckled.
"I've got some time off coming up, Bucky. I'll come visit you guys and help out." Steve smiled proudly at his best friend.
"Me too." Sam offered, "Plus, we could always get Groot to help out." The three men burst out laughing together.
"... It's our one year anniversary tomorrow," Bucky smiled. "I'm gonna-"
A high pitched wail cut Bucky off and put him on high alert. "Oh, baby," You cooed softly as your little girl began crying. You stood up, rocking your daughter as big fat tears rolled down her cheeks. "Are those nasty teeth bugging you again." You spoke softly, "Shall we get papa to help? Hmm?"
Bucky's heart broke, "Duty calls." Bucky quickly jogged over to where you were. "Papa's here, princess," Bucky scooped his little girl up, kissing her little cheek softly before letting her suckle softly on his left index finger.
Who would have thought the hand Bucky was so scared of for all those years, would be the only thing to bring his little girl comfort.
Steve and Sam watched from afar, shaking their heads as they drank their beer.
"Ugh, it's sickening, isn't it?" Sam smirked.
Steve nodded and smiled to himself as he watched Bucky calm your daughter down like a pro. "Disgusting really."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pepper was looking after your little girl, Bucky was downstairs cooking your anniversary meal whilst you were stood in front of your floor length mirror frowning.
All day you'd been excited for tonight, you'd even bought yourself a new dress. But then you put it on and began to doubt the decision because of the way you felt you looked. Bucky was a fool to be with you. Not that he had any choice. He'd be better off with someone different. God, you hated yourself.
"Why are you crying?"
You looked up from your reflection and met Bucky's eyes in the mirror, surprised by his presence. "Oh, hormones-"
"Don't." Bucky sighed as he stepped into your shared bedroom. "I know when you're lying, Y/N." He frowned softly at you as he came up behind you. He rested his hands on your hips and rested his chin on your shoulder. "You look beautiful." He whispered.
"I don't have any make up on yet, Buck." You scoffed and stepped out of his hold.
Bucky frowned, "You don't need it."
You scoffed again. "Right. Cause bags under the eyes is such a sexy look. Not that you'd know," You muttered.
"You don't have bags, Y/N. And, you never answered my question."
"It doesn't matter." You whispered, sitting down on your side of the bed.
"It does. If something has upset you, tell me, I can fix it and make it better." He smiled softly at you.
You shook your head, "You can't fix me, so... Just forget it."
Bucky stared at you with his mouth gaped. "Fix you? What are you talking about? You don't need to be fixed."
"Yes I do." You looked up at him. "My body has changed, it's saged and stretched and... I'm not, like you. I'm getting old..."
"You're still beautiful, Y/N. And, you're body changed because it was growing our little girl. It changed for the better. And, you haven't saged..." Bucky smiled as he walked up to you. He reached down and pulled you up onto your feet. He pinched your chin and lifted your face to look at him. "You're still the same woman I fell in love with."
Before any words could pass your lips Bucky kissed you deeply. Your hands moved up his sides and up to his shoulders, hugging him closer to you as Bucky held your face close to his.
"Let me show you," Bucky whispered against your lips. "Like you showed me, when I would feel down..." Bucky kissed you softly. "Let me love you..." He trailed his lips across your jaw and down the side of your neck, smirking against your skin as you let out a breathy moans, "... Like you love me."
"Yes," You crashed your mouth against his in a heavy kiss, pulling at his shirt.
You worked together to undress one another, your lips and teeth leaving trails across each other's skin with soft praises.
Bucky let out a soft moan as he knelt back from you, his hands sliding up your thighs as he took in your naked body underneath him. "I've missed you, baby," He leaned over and pressed a light kiss to your right hip and then your left before pressing one to the stretch marks just to the side of your belly button. "Your so beautiful... Even more than before... My sexy... Mama," Bucky smirked, kissing everywhere he could.
You let out a small giggle, pushing on his forehead to get him to stop. "Bucky, I need you... Please."
Bucky smirked as he leaned over you, "Gotta let daddy have a taste first, baby."
You let out a low moan and nodded as you bit your bottom lip.
Bucky moved back down your bottom. Lightly flicking his tongue over your nipples as he fif, smirking as you mewled and gasped at the sensation. He trailed his lips down your body until he came to your thighs. He lifted your legs and put them over his shoulders brfitr he dived right in.
"Fuck!" You cried out as Bucky devoured your cunt.
Bucky wasn't lying when he said he'd missed you. Since you'd given birth to your baby girl had been born, you'd put a wall up around yourself. You hardly showed your beautiful body off any more. He missed being intimate with you, and not just because the sex was always great. He missed showering or bathing with you. He missed laying around naked in bed doing nothing, laughing and making jokes, or walking around in your underwear as you talked first thing on a morning. He missed massaging your sore feet or painting your toe nails for you because you couldn't bend down to do them. He even missed when you did his that one time. He missed just being close to you.
You whined pushing yourself up on your elbows when Bucky pulled back just before you came.
Bucky chuckled as he pushed himself up. "What? You thought I was gonna let you cum just like that?" He winked.
"Tease," You pouted.
Bucky crawled over you until he came eye to eye with you. "Like you don't tease me." He grinned down at you and pressed a kiss to your lips.
"Please... Bucky," You breathed heavily as Bu KY trailed his lips down your throat.
Bucky smirked against you, "Think you're ready, baby? Shouldn't I open you up?"
"Just fuck me, Bucky," You moaned deeply as he lightly bit your shoulder. "Please."
Bucky crashed his his lips hard against yours as he slipped his cock through your slick pussy. You both moaned softly, hands holding each other closer.
You let out a long drawn out moan as Bucky slowly pushed the head of his cock inside your pussy.
"Fuck," You both moaned together.
You tightened your arms around Bucky's body, pulling him closer as he rolled his hips, pushing his cock deeper. Your nails dug into Bucky's back, leaving behind half moon crests.
"Fuck," Bucky panted, "Baby, you feel so good," He ran his nose along the length of your neck.
Your eyes rolled back as Bucky lightly bit your neck and lathered his tongue over the marks. You let out a soft gasp as you felt something wet smudge against Bucky's chest. "Buck, I'm-"
"Shit," Bucky pulled back and looked down to your chest. White droplets pebbled from your nipples. "Oh, baby," He whispered before he bent down and began to softly lick at your left nipple, moaning at the sweet taste of your milk. "... So... Good,"
You muttered and whimpered, wrapping your legs around Bucky's waist as he drove his hips harder into you. "Yes! Oh," Your eyes screwed shut as tingles ran across your skin. "Oh god, yes... Yes!" Your body spasmed as your toes curled and your orgasm ran through your body.
Bucky's stilled as he followed, breathing heavily against your neck and he squeezed your body against his. "Fuck," He kissed your shoulder softly and repeatedly. Bucky slowly and carefully pulled out of you as not to hurt your sensitive body and rolled over onto his side. "I-"
The scent of something burning hit your nostrils. "Did you leave the oven-" Before you could finish the sound of the fire alarm cut you off.
"Oh, fuck!" Bucky quickly jumped out of bed, quickly grabbing his pants as he ran out the door.
You let out an amused giggle, slowly and carefully getting out of bed. You'd missed your body feeling this way. You missed being with Bucky.
"What the?" Your toes touched something as your feet touched the floor. You frowned softly at the small box on the floor.
Bucky huffed angrily as he slammed the burnt chicken down on the side. Everything was going perfect. "Damn it!"
"Bucky,"
"I'm sorry, baby, I fucked up." He sighed deeply and leaned against the counter so his back was to you. "What shall we do? Take out? Or, make a sandwich?" He huffed out a laugh before letting out a frustrated sigh.
You sighed softly, "Buck," You whispered, slowly walking around the counter until you came up behind him. "You didn't fuck up," You gently trailed your hands around Bucky's waist and over his toned stomach. "You got carried away." You giggled, pressing your lips against Bucky's naked back.
Bucky sighed. "M'sorry, doll, I wanted it to be special." He reached up with his flesh hand and took yours as they settled on his pecks.
You smiled against his back. "It is." You tapped your left hand against his chest. "See? I love you too, Bucky."
Bucky frowned and looked down. His eyes widened as he they landed on your ring finger. "God damn it," He groaned and took your left hand in his metal fingers. He looked over his shoulder and smirked at you. "We've still got dessert..."
"Home of the Lost: Chapter 1"
I hope you all like it! 💜
General warning for the complete fic: violence, Santa Carla violence, some creeps (nothing happens) and in the beginning some mentions of starvation. If more warnings are needed I'll add them by the chapters where they're needed.
---------------------------
Wes had seen many people come and go at the busstation. Young teens going on a trip, celebrating their young lives and the end of their highschool career in sunny places where the partying never seemed to end. Elderly people who went to visit their family, always carrying bags filled with goods. They often told him exactly what they brought for which family member. He remembered one time that an elderly married couple proudly told him they were going to visit their daughter and grandkids. "We even made them something," the grandpa had grinned, showing Wes a stuffed prairie dog. Wes had laughed, wondering if he'd just found the most amazingly weird grandparents ever. Gifting a kid a taxidermy project wasn't exactly a normal present, right?
Yes, Wes had seen many people, come and go, hardly ever returning.... And he liked it, he loved driving and meeting new people everyday. It was a fun, rather carefree job.
Sometimes however he had passengers that stuck with him. The elderly couple for instance, for their comfortable weirdness. Or some of the teens, telling him how they had barely passed all year and aced their exams. Sometimes it weren't the obvious people that stood out, it were the quiet ones.
Wes stopped the bus at the busstation in Phoenix. It had been a clear day, and he assumed the night would be just like that. He got of the bus as the last passenger grabbed their things, and locked the doors behind him. He walked inside, greeting Tilly, the girl working behind the desk, as he made his way to one of the small restaurants.
"Would you like some desert with that?"
Wes was next in line, waiting for the girl in front of him to be finished. He saw her shake her head at the barista, who nodded. "Anything else?"
"Eh, no.. Thanks," the girl spike, stepping aside. She kept looking at the luxurious meals displayed in the window, staring at the steaming lasagne. Then next to it a shepherd's pie. Some creamy and thick soups, some slices of turkey and duck... And then the deserts, all the pies you could imagine. Apple, blueberry, pumpkin - the girl eyed them all with a hint of both longing and sadness in her eyes.
"Can I take your order, sir?"
Wes looked up, seeing that the girl in front of him had gotten a small sandwich.
"Yeah, can I get two lasagnes, and two slices of pumpkin pie? Oh, and two bowls of fruit?"
"Of course," the barista told him what he owed, and that it would be brought to him when it was finished.
"Excuse me," Wes looked at the girl, who he now realised was younger than she had seemed. "I saw you standing in line, and I noticed you'd been staring at several of the items. I ehm, well - I thought you might like this."
The girl looked up from her sandwich, shock written all over her as she saw the full dinner standing in front of her.
"I- I can't take this, thank you sir, but this - this is to much..."
"Don't worry about it," he smiled, "you look starved. The least I can do is make sure you actually get something warm inside you."
"Well, thank you."
"You're welcome. Enjoy your meal," he was about to walk away when he heard her talk to him again.
"I've got some space here still? If you're looking for a place to sit?"
He smiled, thanking her. "I'm Wes, by the way."
"Star. Nice to meet you."
"So where are you traveling to?" Wes asked as he walked towards the bus. Star was right behind him, carrying only a small backpack.
"I'm not sure yet. I just needed to go, I guess."
"That's as good a reason as any," he opened the door, letting her pick a seat already. "The bus will leave in about thirty minutes. So, if you still need anything, a toilet break or if you want to buying something to keep you occupied during the ride, now's your time to do so."
"I'm fine, thanks though." Star smiled, sitting down. How much had happened in the little time she was here.
She hadn't been lying. She really didn't know where she wanted to go. All she knew was that she couldn't stay where she was. It was driving her insane, making her crazy. She had no choice but to leave, and she was glad she'd done so. The only problem with leaving suddenly was, and this was something Star began to realise more and more, that you often forgot things. Small yet important things. Things like money. She had tried to last as long as she could with what she had, but with the price of the busticket she was getting in the danger zone. She hadnt even been able to pay for an actual meal tonight... She sighed as she leaned against the window, her bag held closely in her arms. Maybe she would find happiness wherever she'd go. Maybe shed find a place to call home. She smiled, staring at her reflection as she slowly began to drift off as the bus began to leave the station.
Wes drove through the night, passing many fields - some empty, some being overgrown with corn. He checked his rear view mirror from time to time, checking on his passengers. An old woman in the back, dozing off with a book still stuck in her hands. A father and son, cuddling together as they slept. And the girl, Star. She was awake now, staring out of the window and into the night.
"Any idea where you're going to, yet?"
Star shook her head. "Why? You've got some advice?"
"Yeah, one of the stops is in Santa Cruz, now this town is a bit unwelcoming. The next town, Santa Carla, is a haven for kids like you."
"Why?"
"Because those who do not want to be found go there. It's the place for the lost and downtrodden, and those who wished for a life filled with parties. I'm telling you, I would go there if I were in your position."
"If I want to go there, how do I get there?"
"I'll tell you in more details when we're in Santa Cruz, but basically, once there you keep walking south. Santa Carla is not to far from there, about six miles."
Star nodded, not quite agreeing with the 'not far from here' statement. If she had to walk, six miles was quite far. Still, Santa Carla would give her a destination. Maybe that town would give her something new and fresh, and a chance to start over. That would be nice, she thought as she stared out the window again. Starting over with a clean slate. She smiled as sleep dragged her away once again.
"Next stop Santa Cruz. Please don't forget your luggage."
The electronic voice woke Star up. A soft yawn escaped her as she stretched, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. She had just grabbed her bag from the luggagerack above her, when the bus came to a stop.
The doors opened and a warm autumn breeze welcomed her. She was about to step out as she turned to the driver with a smile. "Thank you for everything, Wes."
"No problem. Take care of yourself kid."
And with those words the two acquaintances closed the chapter, both realising that this would be the last time they saw each other. Then again, Wes thought as he drove off, that's what he liked about being a busdriver. And doing something kind every once in a while? He knew it could make the difference of a lifetime. He just hoped that this girl would have a lifetime to enjoy it, only now realising that Santa Carla by day was a very different Santa Carla than the Santa Carla at night. She'd be fine, he decided, as he drove the final passengers to their destination.
Star sighed, quietly wondering where to go now. She was hungry, not having eaten since she left the busstop eighteen hours ago. But, she realised as she placed her backpack on her back, if she'd eat now she'd have no money for a potential dinner. So, she began to walk. What choice did she have? Besides, she wanted to see this Santa Carla. See if it really was a haven for the lost. If it was, it would be an interesting place to stay, right?
She kept on walking, ignoring the scorching sun as it burned her skin. She had been walking for almost an hour now, and her feet were beginning to feel sore. Her legs hurt, she had a headache. With a sigh she grabbed the small bottle of water form her bag, taking some careful sips. There was not much left, and she knew she needed it to last until she made it into the next town. She began to feel tired as she neared the town. Tired, dirty, thirsty - she could come up with a whole list of what she felt like, but 'fine' 'great' or 'okay' definitely weren't on that list. As she began to see the town at the horizon, a pink hue covering it due to the sinking sun, she began to feel a strange sort of calm fall over her. As if everything would be alright is she stayed there. As if this place was calling her home.
Gathering the courage to move just a little bit more, she finally passed the welcoming board of the town. Finally. She walked further, deciding to find somewhere to eat first. She needed some food inside her before going to search for a sleeping spot.
She walked down a lazy street, finding an old woman sitting at her porch.
"Excuse me, ma'am?" Star asked.
"Yes?"
"Could you maybe tell me where I could grab something to eat?"
"Oh, yes!" The old woman stood up, smiling kindly at her. "If you go down this street and take a turn to the left you'll end up at the boardwalk."
"I didn't know Santa Carla had a boardwalk." Star said softly. "Thank you, ma'am!"
"No problem dear, stay safe."
"Thanks!"
Star followed the instructions, feeling somewhat happy to have found this town. She turned to the left, seeing a large rollercoaster. People were laughing and smiling, and a rare sense of happy comfort warmed her up inside. One day she'd have enough to go for a ride, to join in that feeling of cheer. Now however she needed to find food. As she walked further, looking at the crowds and the rides, she noticed a small café. It had a sign stating "The Sunset Sisters," and a menulist with many delicious yet cheap items. Some pasta's, pizza's, tacos - Star smiled, finally having found dinner. She took the bag from her back, grabbing her wallet, when someone pushed her over. Hard.
So hard that her whole body slammed against the floor. So hard that she dropped her bag. So hard that at first she didn't notice that her wallet had been missing. The second she realised what had happened she stood up, running after the guy that stole from her.
"Stop! Stop that guy, somebody please!"
Nobody listened to her, and she saw no other possible thing to do than to continue running. She followed the guy down the street, off of the boardwalk, into a dark alley. She was trying to catch her breath, a painful sting in her side reminding her that she was not used to running. "Give my wallet back," she said, with a stern sound in her voice that surprised even herself.
"Or what? You'll huff and you'll puff?" The man laughed, shaking his head. "You're lucky I only took this. I could have taken much more, girly," he grinned as he stared at her, slowly licking her wallet. "So much m-"
Star didn't wait around. She knew he was bad news - she knew it the second he stole from her - but this... She hurried back to the boardwalk, hoping to find someone kind enough to help her get some money or food. Otherwise, she'd really have to try and find a job quickly.
She sighed as she entered the boardwalk once again. "Welcome to Santa Carla, hm," she mumbled softly, quietly wondering if it had been a wise move to go here.
Beach Trips and I'm Falling in Love 1/2
When Annabeth meets a strange boy on vacation, she doesn't expect for their relationship to grow much. He's... terribly sarcastic. Cocky. A not-so great match for her witty self. But after learning he visits the same beach every year she does, their strange friendship blooms into something more.
Their realtionship isn't the only thing that blooms over the yearsー that meaning a certain raven-haired boy.
genre ; childhood friends to lovers, fluff, strangers(?) to lovers, exchanging letters au, percabeth mortal au, 6.5k words.
warnings ; swearing, suggestive(?) themes.
Tumblr media
Annabeth first falls in love with the beach at age seven during a vacation.
The airport was a little scary truth be told; new people and big security dogs. Though, the dogs are the things she likes most of the whole expirience. The plane there was much, much worseー she had never liked being so high up for so long. That's why Annabeth slept for most of it. (more like passed out.)
But now that she's woken up in a whole new setting, (that being her parent's cabin) her heart beats fastly with excitement. The unfamiliar aroma of saltwater and sand wafts into the bedroom, making her sniff deepy. The patched quilt that once layed on her is tossed to the wooden planked floors. Everything here is unfamiliar, whether it's the bedroom or the whole place itself.
Annabeth kicks her feet off the bed, rushing to the hallway. She practically bounces off the walls like a rubber ball. New, sights, new place, new people... She'll get the hang of it sooner or later.
Annabeth skids to a halt. "Can I go out?" She asks excitedly to the emptiness of the cabin, her voice echoing off the sparsely decorated walls. There's a pause. Then:
A voice pipes from somewhereー maybe the kitchen? "I dunno about that honey, we just-" Dad!
"Please! Just for a while!" Annabeth cuts him off and begs.
She can hear a sigh emit from him "Well, arlright..." There's a pause; most likely Helen shaking her head and laughing lightly. "But don't go too far! We don't know this place that well."
"Thank you!"
It only takes a second before Annabeth is already sliding her sandals on when she gets the ok to go, grabbing her sand castle building bucket and lathering on her sunscreen.
She beams brightly.
A vast blue sky, yellow sun, and glimmering sand. It's all so beautiful. Gorgeous. Alluring- though the seven year old doesn't quite understand what the new word means. She dashes somewhere, anywhere, excited to go see more. Meet more people! Collect sea shells! And it's fun. Fun with peeking under shells looking for crabs, getting her shorts wet from the water, getting tanned in the beating sun.
Annabeth loses track of time at one point or another. All she knows that the collection of shells in her bright red bucket are just so pretty, so why not collect some more?
'Don't go too far,' She can clearly recall her father's voice, 'We don't know this place all that well.'
That was maybe... three hours ago.
Now, the sun isn't hung that high in the sky. It's starting to dip beneath the ocean, red and orange staining the sky. The pale moon isn't visibleー but Annabeth knows that it might come out sooner or later.
Just a few more shells, she thinks, touge sticking from her lips as she struggles to carry the full bucket, Until I go back.
Where is 'back', anyways?
Annabeth doesn't know where she is right now. At all. Save for the patch of palm trees she had rested under for a while, far behind her.
Oh well. Right now, she tries to focus on collecting more shells. Now, where did that blue shell-
"Uh... What're you doing?"
The question comes as a shock to her, making Annabeth jolt slightly. She whips around.
To her left, there's, well... the ocean. To her right: A cluster of palm tress nestled in the sand. She does a full turn. Than another.
"What-" Annabeth starts in confusion, "Who's there?"
"Up here," The voice (slightly extageratted she might add) chides. It comes straight from the-
-The palm trees?
She comes face to face with blinking sea green eyes. Raven hair splays across the kids' forehead, hiding the tips of his eyes. The kids' legs swinging back and forth on one of the branches, palm leaves shaking slightly with him. Annabeth blinks owlishly in response.
"What're you doing up there?" Is all she can blurt out.
"Sitting," He says matter-of-factly. As if Annabeth couldn't already see that. "What are you doing?" The boy parrots, climbing down the wide trunk.
She steps back when he stands in front of her. He looks about her age, if she's correct. "Collecting shells?" Annabeth burries her sandal-clad heel in the sand. She picks up the blue sea shell she's had her eye on.
"Look, this ones-"
"That's mine!" The boy springs forward suddenly, taking the object from her hands. His eyes are wide like saucers. "You found my lucky shell!"
Annabeth falters. "A lucky shell? What's that?" She tilts her head in confusion. To be honest, that's one of the most ridiculous things that she has ever heard. Not that Annabeth would tell that to the person's face. That would be pretty rude.
When he doesn't respond from being too enveloped in the shine of the shell's blue coat, she grumbles.
"That isn't yours!" She says more loudly. It can't be, it can't! Shells don't belong to people; they're natural things! Aren't they? Plus, what even is a lucky shell?
He scoffs. "Oh yeah?"
"Yeah!" Annabeth stares fully at the shell. "If it's yours, then prove it."
The boy huffs as he flips the shell over, shoving it right in her face. She has to take another step back to see it properly. More like to see the small letters properly. It's small, black, and messy, but Annabeth can make out the nearly unreadable scribbles.
PERCY . J
"You're Percy?" She looks back at him.
"Mhm!" The boyー Percyー beams. "So yeah. That's my lucky shell. I was looking for it for a while."
Her eyebrow twitches. "Oh..." Annabeth trails off, dissapointed. She wanted that shell. Dang it. "Are you sure?" He nods affirmatively, making her face droop. They both stay silent for a second, letting the sound of crashing against the shore take over.
Percy turns around. "I'm gonna go back to my cabin now."
Annabeth, as if breaking out from a trance, grabs his wrist. "Wait!" She yelps, pouting.
He turns back around quickly with a grumble. "What?
"D-do you..." She lets go of his wrist once she see's the judging look on the boy's face. "Do you know where the cabins are, by any chance?"
It's a weird question out of context, really, and Annabeth isn't sure why she asks him of all people. He probably doesn't know his way around either, not to mention that she doesn't expect him to answer.
It's comes as a surprise to her when he asks: "Which ones?"
Annabeth's lips tug upwards in a hopeful smile. "Uh..." She tries to remember where it is. "The ones with the really tall palm trees beside the shore?"
Percy pauses; his eyes look up into space as if he's looking for an answer from the gods. "Oh!" He looks over behind him, "Where there's this weird blue-roofed cabin to the right?"
"Yeah! That's The one!" She exclaims. Her face lights up with memory, thinking of the exact location.
"Oh," He looks directly at her now, "That's where I'm staying, too."
"Oh." Annabeth repeats.
"Yeah."
"Huh."
The Walk back is... Normal. They bicker back and forth, throwing subtle insults. At one point Annabeth bargains to take the blue sea shell back for three of the pink ones, but Percy refuses. She huffs.
"Where'd you get your lucky shell anyways?" Annabeth asks as her feet pads onto the slightly damp sand.
"My mom," He grins, holding it high above his head. "We found it here last year, and I just kept it! She said that it would be a nice souvenir." Percy says proudly.
She wants to ask more, prod more, but it seems like they're already at their detination. The tall palm trees. The weird blue-roofed cabin. Annabeth looks over to him, as it seems like the last time they'll ever see each other. Percy, however, looks surprised.
"You're my-" He freezes, looking back and forth at the two cabins in front of them. One is Annabeth's. And the other is...
"What?" Annabeth asks. "Something wrong?"
"You're my neighbor!?" Percy gasps, horror striking his face. He takes a disgusted shudder and steps away from the blonde.
"Don't act that disgusted!" She jokingly pushes his shoulderー with a little less than just 'jokingly' in the shove. "But this actually sucks. I don't really like you," Annabeth admits.
"Me neither!" Percy rolls his eyes. "Im going inside!"
She crosses her arms as she looks away. "Me too!"
"Goodnight!"
Annabeth doesn't know howー or whenー it happens, but their friendship blooms sometime along with way.
"Whatever!"
Tumblr media
Scratch that. Friendship is too much of a strong word. For now, the two can settle on frenemies.
Plus, their frenemieship doesn't exactly happen umpormpted; it takes the parents to force them together. Aparently, Percy had told his mom about the whole scenario. Whispers come to talk, and there they are, sitting on the steps of Percy's cabin while the two's parents talk inside. Annabeth can hear the laughs coming from inside. It makes her seethe.
"Why'd you tell?" Is all she can mutter.
"My mom asked me where I was," Percy simply says, "So I did!"
"I had to thank you ten times because of that, and now look where we are!" Annabeth glared pointedly. "They're all buddies now. Ew."
He reels. "Shut up."
"No."
"Shut up!"
"I said no!"
The door creaks open, and they both freeze.
"Annabeth!" Frederick calls out, stepping onto the wooden deck. "Oh, it looks like you two have already bonded! How nice," He smiles, looking at the two of them who sit side to side. It looks like they had just had a deep convorsationー except not the one you'd expect. Percy's mom, who Annabeth heard her name was Sally, steps beside him with her own smile.
It's weird. This nice-looking, kind woman who is related to such a loser like Percy? Even being his mom? She can't see the resemblance.
"Aw, you two look like best buds!" Sally pats the two of them on the shoulder, warm smile etched across her face. Annabeth smilies in response, despite her thoughts: She has got to ditch Percy as soon as possible.
"Why don't you two go visit downtown?" She looks over to Percy. His scowl is wiped away once she does it, replaced with a forced grin. "It'd be nice for you two to hang out, wouldn't it?"
No, it would not, Annabeth wants to say. I dislike this dude very much.
But as her life goes, she never gets what she wants.
"Okay!" Percy smiles, standing up. He makes an attempt to leave Annabeth in the dust by walking as fast as he can, his actions being immediately noticed by her. All Sally and Frederick do is confuse it with excitement.
Downtown is a sunshiney place with colourful chalk on the shop walls that line the roadsides. There's a white marble fountain in the middle of the square, and a small grass filed where people play frisbee. Ice cream, pizza, ramen, you name it. The smells make both of their mouths water with hunger. Annabeth looks over to the hotdog stand with wantful eyes.
Percy's stomach grumbles.
"What?" He asks, embarassed, when Annabeth looks over at him. She looks away, rummaging through the pockets of her jean jacket. After pulling out a few green bills, she shuffles her feet.
"Here." Annabeth stuffs two of them in Percy's hands. "Let's go buy something."
He falters. "Wha- Thanks, but why?"
"My dad always tells me to be polite," She says formaly, head held high. "And I'm trying to do it. What? You think I actually like you? Please." Annabeth won't admit it, but she doesn't actually mean it.
Percy frowns. "Whatever."
It's bland as they eat, quietness shared between the two children. Annabeth chews dryly. Percy swallows thickly. They find a spot to sit; a colorful bench in the heart of all the comotion.
"No!" Annabeth groans when her half-eaten ice popsicle falls to the concrete ground. She pouts. "Aw, come on." The biker (the reason she accidentally let it fall) is long gone without as much of a glance.
Percy, on the other hand, eyes the red popsicle. He hasn't eaten his own yetー it being still wrapped up in it's yellow wrapper.
He offers it to her.
"Huh?" She takes it suddenly, eyes slightly shocked. Her mouth waters with hunger. "I-is this for me?" Annabeth asks. She peels the wrapper off begrudgingly, the sticky texture on her fingertips. It's blueberry flavoured. One of her favourites.
"Who else?" Percy rolls his eyes.
Annabeth scoffs. "I thought you were hungry."
"Yeah, but you seem pretty hungry too."
There's two sticks in the treat, meaning that they can split it. She does so, splitting it apart with a crack, and hands it back to him while looking away. "Here. Take this."
"Aw, you like me after all!" He nudges her, smiling widely and instantly popping it in his mouth.
"Its politeness!" Annabeth can manage for the word.
Percy isn't such a loser. And neither is she.
The stars twinkle brightly by the time they head back, cicadas and crickets back again to sing their songs. Percy looks at Annabeth while she enters her cabin. Her stares at her from his own doorway.
"Goodnight." Is all he says.
Annabeth doesn't know howー or whenー it happens, but their friendship blooms sometime along with way.
This time, Annabeth replies properly. "Goodnight."
Tumblr media
The next week goes a lot like this: Percy comes over to her room, (Frederick and Helen has already taken a liking to him) beach ball in hand and sunscreen slathered on.
"Let's go swim!" He yanks the blanket from her half-asleep figure with a snicker.
"Leave me alone, doofus!"
She always complains, but goes with him anyways.
Some days it was Annabeth who woke him up. Some days she works up at the crack of dawn just to haul him to the beach where they swam for hours. Those days, she never complains.
But today, Percy accompanies Annabeth at the airport.
"You better write back to me," He crosses his arms and huffs as she gives a lopsided smirk. Her luggage, decorated with patches she had collected, stands at her side. Her Parents chat with Percy's with hugs exchanged and sad smiles. "Or else I'm not your friend anymore."
That's the first time Percy says she's a friend.
Despite that, she remains a steady face. Her heart is racing. "You can write?" Annabeth gasps, a fake look of shock on her face. When the boy gives her a dirty look, she chuckles. "Don't worry. I'm coming back here soon."
"When?" He asks instantly.
"Next year. Maybe longer." She replies, rocking back and forth on her heels. Her feet are replaced with her green sneakers, a change from a week of wearing nothing but sandals. There's a certain sadness lacing her tone.
"That's too long."
"I know."
They seem to be acting tough, possibly for their own sakes, but it all crumbles to the ground when they both tear up. They hug each other, tightly, as if they won't be seeing each other for an eternity. Maybe they will.
"I'll write to you everyday!" Annabeth promises, pulling away. Her eyes are puffy and her nose is running.
"You better!" Percy wipes his nose on his shirt. "And I will too!"
Annabeth can't quite keep the promise of sending letters every day, that being the reason of school and other things, but she and Percy can settle on every week.
It takes both their parents to pull them away from each other when the time finally comes.
Tumblr media
Percy's letters always has his signature blue envelope. It's bright in her hands when she opens her mailbox a week after seeing him as she reads the front. Her name is misspelled three times, and the envelope is clumsily sealed. It's exactly what she had imagined. His mom must've written it for him, because the writing is ten times more neater. The words make her smile.
That night, she reads it again.
Annabeth sends her own letters, envelope and papers with owl prints drawn on. Like Percy, her own hand writing is messy. So she has Helen write most of it for her.
Back and forth through the four seasons. They both start to send little trinkets to the other, too: dried up flowers, favourite pens, even some of Percy's favourite candiesー blue Jolly Ranchers, but they seem to taste better when he sends it.
I seriously hate school, Percy writes in a letter one week, Everyone here sucks.
Well, not a few people, but a lot of people do. They're all rude. And suck ups. Even the teachers are like that! They all just act all better than me, just because. I don't really know why.
The next part is written in his own handwriting.
But of course, they're not! I beat them in dodgeball today, but i got a bruise on my cheek when I fell flat on my face. Nothing I can't handle!
Annabeth rolls her eyes at that, pen in hand while she reads the remians of it. She notes that there's a picture attached at the bottom with a obnoxious green paperclip. Taking it off, she stares at it.
Percy beams at her; er, the camera, a noticeable bruise square on his left cheek. A band-aid is stuck onto his forehead. Annabeth can only assume where it's from. For some reason the boy is smiling toothily. He looks exactly like he had been only a while ago, tanned skin and scrawny arms. His uncureable case of bedhead has also somehow stayed intact.
She sends her own picture: A amuture snap taken by her dad, standing in the sun at the park near her house. Her lips pull upwards into a wide, bright smile.
"Say cheese!" Frederick points the lenses to her.
Annabeth beams. "Cheeeese!" She giggles.
Percy doesn't want to admit it, but he'd spent more time than he liked staring at the picture.
Annabeth and Percy are right when they next meet again; though Annabeth likes to say that she's eight and three quarters.
The girl had arrived in the middle of the night while she was still snoring. Like last time, she had woken up in a bedー the same one as of today. Though she can't quite notice. Her body still radiates tiredness, mucsles sore and limbs unmoving.
"Annabeth!" Percy shakes the blonde awake, her hair messy hair shaking back and forth. She groans through her lips.
"Wha-" She flips over, looking at him. "Its- Percy!?" Annabeth jolts upwards, eyes wide and fully awake.
He smirks at her. "Hey." Percy stands up straight now, taking a step back. "Its been a while-"
Annabeth pulls him in for a hug. "i missed you!" She says, hugging him even more tightly. "So much!" Percy, after a second, hugs back with just as much happiness. His face burries in her shoulder.
"Me too," Percy replies, voice muffled. "So much."
It might be a long minute when they finally pull away.
"I-I was just being polite," Annabeth turns away with embarassment. "Don't think too much about it."
"Y-yeah, same."
They both know that they're lying.
After a while, it almost becomes routine. They spend a blissful week together playing on the beach. Both Percy and Annabeth cry their eyeballs out when they have to leave. The rest of the year is spent exchanging letters.
Summer of when they're twelve, Annabeth says something that makes Percy frown immediately.
"We won't be able to come back here for a while," She says, laying on the sand.
"Oh." Percy says. "That's what you always say. "So... You'll be here next year."
She sighs, looking at the waves lapping across the sandy shores. People swim happily in the cool waters, unlike them, who sit under the shade of a tall palm tree.
"...Right?" He repeats slowly, carefully, when she doesn't respond.
"No." Annabeth burries her face in her hands. "We won't be coming next year. Or the year after that."
"What!?" Percy''s eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "And why not?"
"Helen, she... You know that the twins will be born soon. And my dad wants to take a break from vacations for a while." She grumbles.
"And that means-"
"We won't be coming back for a very, very long time."
Dread dawns onto Percy like a spotlight.
"Oh."
"Yeah."
Then it truly settles in.
"Oh, no."
The next night is what Percy assumes to be the last night spent with Annabeth in a few years. That sentence makes him sick to the stomach, so he avoids thinking about it.
If he stops thinking about it, will it never happen? If he somehow begs Annabeth's parents, will she come again next year? If Percy, someway, hopes hard enough, will she be here next year, and the next?
His thoughts gnaw at him like rats. Laying awake in his messy bed, chapped lips and ruffled hair.
There's really only one thing that can help him now.
"Hey." Percy manages to sneak into Annabeth's room via window. Her room is chilly. He feels like scolding her for keeping her window unlocked, but then Percy would just sound like his mom. He nudges her softly. "Wake up."
Annabeth, groggy and sleep deprived, opens one of her eyes. "Hm? Oh..." Hse tries to keep her eyes open. "Percy?"
It's a small whisper. Her mouth is dry and her limbs are sore. Annabeth's pillow is dampened; she had just cried only hours prior before she passed out fron exhaustion. Its a bleak memory that A Annabeth cringes upon. She chews her lip.
"C'mon," Percy says, "Let's go to our spot."
Annabeth doesn't put up a arguement. She knows that he wants to spend the most time together as possible, and the feeling is mutual. She feels her own sort of sadness: An icky feeling that leaves her feeling all scummy when she remembers she wont see Percy for a very long time.
So she goes with him, cotton sweater flimsy flip-flops hastily threwn on. Their footsteps make the old wood creak, but thankfully, no one wakes from the noises.
Their 'Spot' is a hill, high above the rising tides. Its where they go every year. Its where they made memories. Its a place that they can't imagine ever staying away from.
The nightly wind is gone this particular night. It only leaves comfortable silence.
"So how long will you be away for?" Percy asks, pulling his knees to his chest. Hus eyes droop down.
Annabeth fiddles with a stick she found on the grassy ground. "I don't wanna say it. Its too long."
But after she hesitates, Annabeth gives in. "...Six years."
"What?"
"Six years," She repeats, more strongly this time, "That's my estimate."
Percy's breath hitches in his throat. Six years? Six years without her?
"That's forever." Percy comes to the horrible conclusion. No, no- there must be somesort of mistake! Annabethwill be here next year, and that's that. "Are you sure?"
Annabeth nods grimly. Her eyes are screwed shut, as if she cant see it, it won't happen. If she cant see, then maybe it'll all be a bad dream.
She's just like him.
They both know its futile to do anything else. To do something, one last thing, one last visit down, one more. Its bitterly cold. Saltwater invades their senses, and to be honestー they're both exhausted. From a week of long playing in the sun. From a lot of things.
For now, each others company is enough. To know that they're there, in person, is enough. Being together is enough.
So they lay there.
Hand in hand, shoulders pressed up together. The moonlight is the only thing helping Annabeth see in the dark, while Percy grips her hand tighter. The stars above... They're bright. Tiny, miniscule, but they're bright and shining. Like yesterday. Today. And forever. He sniffs. The sky is incoming and unchanging. That's how both Percy and Annabeth want it to beー unchanging between them.
The next morning is bland. Annabeth wakes up with a large amount of dread looming over her, like a heavy cloud of muck. From the clock on her nightstand she can read 5:02 AM; a time in which Percy is most likely fast asleep.
That doesn't really matter. They're goodbyes are said, long done, and that's that. Annabeth already had a bittersweet moment with Percy. Why ruin with a tearful goodbye?
It hurts to not say one last goodbye to him.
The airport. Even at such a early time, it still hums with livelyness and people's chattering. Well, you know what they say. The airport never really does stop working. Not for anyone.
If Percy was here now, what would he say? Give a last cocky smirk and throw a snarky insult? Annabeth would just laugh it off and hug him, as per usual, as per every year. It's a shame.
her parents have already entered the airport, leaving Annabeth standing in front of the huge terminal. She lets out a sigh and clutches her luggage closer. Well. this is it for-
"Annabeth!"
Is that- No. It can't be. Annabeth grips the metal handle of her luggage harder. It makes her knuckles turn into a sickly shade of pale, resembling a sheet of paper. He's not here. He's asleep, gone, and I'm imagining things. He can't possibly be-
"Wisegirl!"
When the voice calls out again, Annabeth knows for sure that it's him.
Percy.
The boy instantly engulfs her in a hug. It's warm, soft, familiar. All the qualities Annabeth likes most about him.
Great, she's tearing up.
"Don't forget me." Percy mumbles into her shoulder. "Please don't forget me." His voice is watery and wavering: He's crying. She can feel is tears dampening her sweater-clad shoulder, and all she can think is how she's doing the same.
"Never," Annabeth says, squeezing her eyes shut. "I promise."
Percy wants to say so much. How he woke up through his tiredness. How he biked here, all one hour of it, to find her, and how he couldn't sleep because he needed to hear her voice. Childish or immature as it be, its true.
He pulls away slowly and rummages through his pockets as he sniffs. "Here. Take this."
Annabeth's eyes widen. "You're" She grips it, mouth going dry. His shell, still blue as ever and pristine, tilts in her hands. "You're gonna give me this?"
She knows it's his favourite thing in the world, save for blue cookies and his small whale plushie. He never leaves it unattended, never dirties it, either. Annabeth knows that Percy never lends it to anyone, and keeps it like it's his life's worth. So why is he giving it to her? His eyes are teary and foggy as tears spill from his eyes, but she can't see any regret or remorse on his face. That's means he's giving it to her with no qualms, whatsoeverー But why?
"You better make sure to return it!" Percy sniffles again, wiping his runny nose on his shirt. "I'll be waiting!"
"I will."
Annabeth thinks that's the most she's cried ever.
Tumblr media
The years pass like clockwork, because really, it is.
It's happens like any other year. She goes to school, gets good grades and live like any other day. She sends letters to Percy consistently. They're all sent with souvenirs, trinkets, little notes and scraps. It helps in a theraputic way.
Annabeth doesn't really blame her parents for taking a break. She tries to understand. And it's hard. The twins are lovely. Lovely as newborns can get, at least, they're smiley and bright. Matthew and Bobby, that's their names. They don't cry much. Annabeth likes that. They throw food at her sometimes. Annabeth doesn't like that.
Summer thirteen passes slowly. She tries to pass it with friends, but none of them can really compare to Percy.
Summer fourteen Annabeth enters Highschool. She keeps Percy's lucky she'll on her bedside table, stacked upon a cluster of books. She spends that summer inside, reading books about architecture. They can distact her from the dread of missing him.
Summer fifteen and she sends a package to Percy. There's the usual letter, one of her favourite books, and notes for the new math curriculum that they both happen to be on. She knows that he seriously hates reading, but Annabeth doesn't really expect him to read it.
(He spends all night reading it.)
Summer sixteen, and Percy sends the recipe for his mom's famous blue cookies. That makes her smile uncontrollably. Percy never trusts anyone that much to send one of his favorite recipes; much less the one for his most prized blue cookies. Annabeth is sure to send a recipe of her own for her favorite apple pie.
(Percy can't really stop eating it. Somehow, it reminds him if her.)
Summer seventeen Annabeth makes new friends. They make her mind forget about Percy more, but when she's laying awake at night, she can't really stop thinking about him. He's grown. His smile is as warm and bright as ever, and his hair which was once ruffles in a messy way had become endearing. Annabeth thinks it suits him.
She sends her own pictures. Annabeth thinks that she hasn't grown very much compared to Percy, but she's grown in height. Her hair reaches a length's past her shoulders, and her curls have become more tameable. It's easier to style.
Percy can write much better now, too. His writing is somewhat readable. His letters are still cocky and sarcastic as ever, but his words can clearly shows that he misses her. Annabeth does too. He's learned how to surf. Percy promises to teach her when she visits again. Not to mention he got a dogー a huge, massive ball of black fluff named Mrs. O'Leary. Apparently she's a rescue from one of his neighbours. Annabeth has her own dog as well; a lanky Doberman that she calls cerberus. She swears to introduce him to Mrs. o'leary.
(He looks forward to that.)
Still summer seventeen, and Annabeth learns that Percy has gotten close with someone.
She's supportive of him, of course, but Annabeth can't really say that when she frowns at the news. Rachel. That's her name. Rich, red-haired and pretty, she's probably a good fit for him. Annabeth sees her in the pictures he sends. Beach trips together, days spent in each other's company. She tries as hard as she can not to say something about it.
Rachel is pretty. Rachel is kind. She donates to homeless shelters and fundraises to help the rainforest, Rachel is the daughter of some rich buisness owner.
Rachel is everything Annabeth is not.
Laying on her bed that night, she comes to a horrible realization.
Those feelings of jealousy... They’re more than that, aren't they? It's more, so much more, it's the feeling of desire. Wanting. Because after years, Annabeth learns that she likes Percy.
And Percy likes someone else.
Tumblr media
Summer eighteen and Annabeth is on the plane to her family’s cabin. She's eighteen years old now; it's been six years.
Six, long years of waiting, six summers spent wasting, six years of exchanging letters. Six years of waiting and longing.
Her leg bounces up and down erratically as the plane nears it's destination, the window passing blinding white clouds. The airport was just as busy as Annabeth remembered. The sights, smells, sounds... It's been a while since she's experienced this. It makes her mind race.
"You excited?" Helen gives a small smile towards her. The twins snore loudly beside her. "I bet you are. It's been a while since you've seen him, right?"
"Mhm," Annabeth hums, grinning to herself. Somehow, she already knows who Helen is talking about. "Six years."
"Hm?"
"Its been six years," She says, leaning her cheek on her palm. "Six years since I've last seen him."
Percy.
Annabeth is eighteen when she falls in love with the beach for the second time.
The cabin looks just like it was before. Dark brown wood, potted plants littering the windowsills, metal and glass chimes hanging from the ceilings. Nostalgia runs through Annabeth's mind.
So, with her hair flying behind her and parents chuckling behind her from the car, she bursts open the doors with laboured breaths. The humidity is at a level so high it gets Annabeth's hair all frizzyー but she doesn't mind one bit. She takes a deep inhale.
Fresh saltwater. Driftwood, the sweet smell of vanilla, the alluring scent of coral.
"Can I go out?" Annabeth practically jumps the whole way to the living room, parents unpacking. She runs her hands on the walls; she knows the place like a book from all the previous years spent there.
Annabeth's heart drops when they shake their heads. "Sorry, sweetie," Frederick sighs. "Could you wait until dinner? The twins would probably follow you everywhere; they're pretty energetic right now."
She frowns. "But-" Annabeth exhales, and her shoulders slump. "...Alright."
As the blonde walks back to her room, she can't help but think: Where even is Percy? At the beach? In his room? It's been a while since she last sent a letterー but Annabeth thought he would be expecting her. Maybe not. Maybe, he's busy spending time with Rachel. Not that she really blames him.
So she lays there, staring at the white ceiling. It's smooth unlike her popcorned ceilings back at her house. Annabeth can imagine what Percy's doing right now; most likely teaching Rachel how to surf, like he wrote in his most previous letter. That was... A month ago, right? She's learned how to surf, too.
Annabeth eats dinner with a small frown on her face.
What's the point? She thinks to herself, shoving the plate of noodles in her mouth. She slurps it up. What's the point in seeing him, anyways?
Well, let's see. One: I haven't seen him in six years. That's true. Annabeth's heart aches to see him again, but she can't really bring up the courage to see him.
Two: I have to return his lucky sea shell. She thinks of the shell that stands on her bedside table. It's coat is blue and chipped at that point from all the years.
Three: I really, really want to see him again. Annabeth agrees to herself to that, but there's something lacking. Something that's stopping her from seeing him.
What if Percy doesn't want to see me?
It's stupid, sure, after everything they went through, why would Percy not want to see her? The airport visit from six years ago was enough to proove her wrong, but... The doubt still lingers on Annabeth's head. Rachel was probably fine. She doesn't even know the girl for goodness sakeー why would Annabeth ever hate her in any way?
So, stepping out of the cabin with a determined look, she starts off to find Percy.
The cabin next to hers has no occupants. There's people living in there of course, the light inside gives it away. But there's none inside.
Okay. Next, the beach. The sure is setting, so only a few last minute stragglers are there. The waves are just as beautiful as Annabeth imagined. She chews on her bottom lip, where could he be? Downtown. The ice cream shop. Even the boardwalk. Annabeth has no luck in finding the raven haired boy.
Well, desperate times call for desperate measures.
She walks up to their spot.
It's like a walk to memory lane, really, the trees stretch even farther and the grass is way outgrown. The old log that she and Percy used to sit on is now covered with moss and growing mushrooms. Annabeth smiles to herself. It's been a while.
Have those bags always been here? She thinks to herself. She eyes the bags: Two of them, one black and one a vibrant splash of colors. They must belong to someone else.
When Annabeth sees a familiar figure, she practically beams, because holy shit, it's Percy!
His shoulders are broader than she remembered. His hair is gorgeously fluffy and volumous, and his voice is more richer than Annabeth thought. But, wait- why is he talking to himself?
"Seaweed br-"
That when Annabeth sees her.
A head of red hair sits beside him, laughing to spend joke of his. Or at least that's what Annabeth thinks is happening. Oh, her face falls. That must be Rachel. She fit the description she has had in her head for a while now: Pretty. Laid back.
Annabeth thought their spot was a spot for themー a spot where their memories were made, a spot where Percy introduced her to, a spot where only Annabeth knew.
Her arm slowly drops to her side when Rachel pecks him on the cheek.
Walking back, she thinks she's a fool. How could she be the only person who knew of that place? Such an idiot! Of course Percy would find someone else, like someone else, kiss someone else. Annabeth can't blame him. She can't blame Rachel, or anyone else, because how could she?
That night, Annabeth can't fall asleep.
(Percy can't either, because he can't stop thinking about Annabeth and how he thinks he saw her back there.)
A Patient's Trust
Summary: Chigiri Hyoma x Reader (can be read as plat) where a certain up and coming doctor says they can fix his knee
Angst!
Songs: Death bed -Powfu/ I'm not angry anymore- Paramore/ Karma, AJR
Note: I rewatched Doctor Death on sfxio and..ideas go br what can I say but also yikes sorry for this one guys
"I..I can't feel my leg."
"What?" you snapped out of your trance, having almost fallen asleep waiting for Chigiri to awaken. The doctor said he should wake up around this time, but you certainly weren't expecting him to speak. The room was silent for a few minutes as the words soaked in. Maybe he was just delirious, you reasoned with yourself, after all he just went through a surgery and-
"(Y/N) why can't I feel my leg? D-Did the doctor say anything about side effects?"
"No he said you'd be good as new as soon as you woke up." your voice trailed off into a squeak.
"I'm not." he shut his eyes and swallowed. You couldn't move. What had you done? The monitor next to his bed's beeps spiked and a nurse rushed in. She scolded you for raising his blood pressure but you couldn't say anything in your defense. You just watched Chigiri as she pushed you up and out of the hospital room. The look of terror on his face was one you wouldn't forget for a long, long time.
:17 weeks earlier:
"Aren't you tired of taking care of that leg?" you asked Hyoma, tilting your head as you watched him wrap in with athletic tape.
"No, uh, I guess I've gotten used to it."
You sighed. Sometimes it seemed like you were the only one worried about his health. It was scary to think he played such a physical sport with an injury that could be aggravated any time. Not to mention that he was thinking of joining that weird "blue lock" experiment soon. If that place was serious about forging some new all star team then the training would be intense and Chigiri hadn't trained like that in a while.
No matter how much you asked him to stop all together, soccer seemed to be his first love. You never really got it but as long as he was happy you were happy. Possibly bothering his knee was a sore point in your relationship though. Sometimes it felt like you were holding him back and other times it felt like you were the boundary between him and self destruction.
Maybe you were blowing it out of proportion. You crossed your arms then uncrossed them. "I guess I've never had my ACL damaged, so I can't say."
"Yeah, but I know you're just worried about me." Chigiri grinned and unwinded the tape a bit so it was less tight. You smiled back, but it was strained, maybe you weren't overreacting. You had something to bring up but you knew he wouldn't appreciate the suggestion.
What the hell. Might as well tear the bandaid off.
"Y'know there's a surgery you can get that can replace your knee. I've been looking into it and luckily you live really close to one of the greatest doctors. He's released all sorts of studies on ACL injuries. I think you should check it out."
The room was covered in a thick silence. Chigiri glared up at you from the chair he was sitting in. "(Y/N) those things take like months or years to heal from and blue lock starts in one month. Plus, I have it under control." You kept his gaze but said nothing.
.
..
....
"I swear we can get you back on your feet enough for you to go to blue lock. Don't worry." was the last thing he said to Hyoma.
"Fine! I'll check it out." Chigiri threw his hands up in defeat as he stood up.
You two visited the clinic that afternoon and the doctor was rather enthusiastic. He stressed how running on it day after day would only reinjure it and how short his waiting time was.
He glanced over at you. "I'm kind of on the fence right now. What do you think?"
"When's the next appointment?"
"You should do it." you squeezed his hand in support. He nodded, thinking of how painful it would be to train on his injured knee. It was either go to blue lock and tear himself to shreds, don't go to blue lock or this. It was starting to look enticing and he wasn't even sure he wanted to go anyway. Not with this aching. Were knee braces even allowed in blue lock? Questions continued to flood his head so he looked over at you again.
You only nodded.
:Back to day of surgery:
"Only a few hours in and out!" the doctor smiled at you. "I'll let you two have some time before he goes under.." Something about that smile made your skin crawl. You brushed it off and walked up to Chigiri, who at the moment was sitting on a hospital bed.
"How're ya feelin champ?" He giggled at your fake accent.
"Nervous but good. But, seriously I think..you were right. I'm ready to get rid of this leg issue." he looked up at you. Chigiri's gaze was so intense you looked away after a few seconds. "I'm really sorry I argued with you on this. The more I hear about this surgery the more I wish I'd done it sooner.."
You blinked. Winning arguments against Chigiri wasn't something that happened often. For as soft as his hair was it was covering a hard head. You two sat in silence for a while before the nurse entered and whisked him away. The waiting room's silence changed from comfortable to terrifying and the musty smell was starting to get to you.
You did homework. Got a drink at a near by store. Anything to distract from the pull of time. The clocks seemed to be mocking you at this point.
Just as you were getting ready to drive around the block for the second time, your name was called. "(Y/N)?" You practically jumped up at the nurses call, wiggling your way past the others in the waiting room. She said nothing at your enthusiasm, her mouth pulled taut as if she was holding back a comment.
You were too damn excited to pay attention to that though, Chigiri's surgery was over! And soon he'd be up and running again with no fears to hold him back. You imagined seeing him play soccer again, like when you two were kids. Rushing up and down the field, scoring left and right. The nostalgia was quickly brushed away with the loud beep of a hospital monitor.
Looking at Chigiri, it was hard to imagine him back to new. He looked so frail in the harsh fluorescent lighting. The nurse briefly explained that he'd probably take a minute to wake up before exiting. A minute. You grimaced as you sat down, a minute can seem like an eternity. But soon, you were able to relax. The buzzing of the lights, Chigiri's breathing and the drone of some show on the hospital tv put you in a trance..
"I..I can't feel my leg."
"What?"
lemon drops. | ii | ib ~ garry x reader
chapter i here.
~ two ~
Rest assured your name will be spelled correctly in my contacts :)
It’s you! I’m glad to hear it.
Idk if you’ll be free but I was going to stop by the coffee shop again today
After my classes. Thinking about talking a walk or something after
I can certainly make another stop there
A walk? Any particular trail in mind?
Not really. I’ll probably just stroll through town
I like the sound of that. What time are you done with your classes?
A smile appears on your lips as you sort the details of your next meetup with Garry out. That turned out pretty well, despite the fact you had been a little nervous to text him. In any case, you hop off of your bed, noting that it’s time for you to get ready for class.
With that thought in mind, you mindlessly proceed throughout your morning routine. After your belongings are in hand, you open the door to your room before stepping out into the hallway. As you gently pull it shut, the sound of small footsteps catches your attention.
“Morning!” your little sister greets, grinning widely as you bend down to give her a hug.
“Hey, Ib. Did you sleep well?”
“I did! Did you?”
“I slept well enough,” you reply, listening to her as the two of you start making your way downstairs.
“That’s good. I had a really weird dream.”
“Oh? Do you remember what it was about?”
“Kind of,” she answers as the two of you reach the bottom of the staircase, both turning towards the kitchen. “I just remember a scary-looking face. It was blue and had weird eyes and a creepy smile.”
“That sound scary,” you mumble, ruffling her hair a little bit. “I’m sorry you had to dream about that.”
“Thanks, but it wasn’t that bad. I just hope I don’t have to dream about it again.”
“Hopefully you won’t have to,” you say, spying your parents in the living room. “Good morning.”
They look up, both sending you a smile. “Morning girls. Sleep well?”
“I did. Ib said she had a nightmare, though.”
“Oh no! What was it about?” your mom asks, shifting her gaze to Ib.
“A creepy doll or something…it just kept staring at me.”
“Well, it can’t hurt you now,” you dad adds, smiling softly. You nod, about to say something when you feel your phone vibrate in your pocket. A glance at the screen reveals that it’s a message from Garry:
Look at what I found!!
Attached is a picture of a chunky little groundhog peacefully nibbling on a patch of grass. You giggle quietly, typing a quick response:
Oh, that’s so cute!
“What’re you giggling at?” questions your father, taking a sip from his coffee as he eyes you.
“Oh, a friend just sent me a meme,” you reply, slipping your phone back into your pocket.
“I see.”
“Well, we hope you both have a great day. Take snacks if you need them, and be careful on your way there and back!”
“We will, Mom. Love you guys!”
“We love you too. Stay safe!”
The day drags on as normal once you drop Ib off at her school. Every class had been filled with you impatiently checking the time every so often. With every passing minute, you grew more and more excited about your upcoming meeting with Garry.
Since you get out earlier than Ib does today, that means you can walk with Garry before you pick her up. You have about two hours before that rolls around, and Garry should be at the coffee shop by the time you arrive.
As soon as your last class ends, you gather your belongings quickly before exiting. You mentally groan when you see that the elevator already has a line of people waiting for its ascent, so you decide to take the stairs again.
Thankfully, the light spring in your step makes the descent a bit easier to bear this time around. You’re on the ground floor before you know it.
Once more, the cool breeze envelopes your skin the moment you step outside. A soft smiles lines your lips as you pull out your phone, opening your messages app:
Hey Garry! I’m on my way now, I should be there in about five minutes or so
I’ll be waiting :)
“Nice,” you mumble as you read the message, stuffing your phone back in your pocket afterwards. The walk this time around seems much shorter than it was yesterday. Not that you’re complaining, because it seems like forever since you’ve wanted to talk to someone like this.
Soon enough, you find yourself in front of the café again. You push the door open, glancing inside to find Garry sitting at the same spot, phone in hand.
“Garry!”
He turns before smiling, standing up as you make your way over to him.
“Hello there!” he greets.
“Hey,” you respond. “How are you?”
“I’m doing well, and how about yourself?”
“I’m fine, thank you.” You really like how he’s so well-mannered, and actually enunciates his words. It sends a fluttery feeling to your stomach – one that feels almost nostalgic in an odd way.
“I decided it would be better if we ordered together, since we’re walking,” he says as the two of you approach the counter.
“Oh, thank you.”
“Of course.”
With that, the two of you place your orders before waiting at the end of the counter again. The silence between the two of you is comfortable, thankfully. You’re still excited, but part of you is growing a bit nervous now.
You dart from thought to thought for a few minutes before the barista slides your drinks onto the counter, smiling at the two of you. You realize it’s the same one that served you yesterday.
“Hey guys! Good to see you again. Sorry about the mix-up yesterday.”
“That’s quite all right,” Garry replies. “Thank you.”
“Yeah, don’t worry about it!” you add, picking up your drink. “Thank you so much!”
“You’re welcome. Have a great day, guys.”
“You too!”
With that, the two of you swiftly exit the coffee shop, prepared for the walk.
You notice Garry has gone silent, staring ahead distantly. You follow his gaze, only to see that the old art gallery is the subject of his attention.
“Ever been in there?” you question.
“I visited it once, almost a year or so ago,” he comments, frowning.
“Funny. I went around a year ago too,” you say. Could that have been where you saw him?
“Interesting. Perhaps that’s where we saw each other?”
“It could be,” you note. “Wait. My sister went too. Maybe she’d recognize you, since she was with me that day?”
“Oh, maybe!”
“You should come with me when I go to pick her up from school, then. Her memory is way better than mine.”
He laughs a little, closing his eye as he does so. It makes you wonder why he hides his other eye behind his hair. “How long do you have until then?”
“A little under two hours,” you say, stepping a little closer to Garry in order to give passing people more room to walk. The two of you are still outside of the coffee shop, studying the art gallery intently.
“Ah, plenty of time.”
“Yeah. So, which way should we go?”
“I say we begin by heading right. From there, we can just go where the wind takes us.”
“I like the sound of that,” you say as the two of you start walking.
From there, you both fall into another comfortable silence. It seems to be a bit more thoughtful this time around, but as you sip on your drink and view your surroundings, you feel your shoulders relaxing more and more. How long had it been since you just enjoyed time with a friend like this?
For the most part, it remains quiet, but the two of you exchange a bit of get-to-know-the-other questions. You’re surprised at how comfortable you feel with him. It’s…natural. Like this is how things are supposed to be. Despite this, you know there’s something you’re missing.
It takes you a second to realize that Garry has stopped, leaving you a few feet in front of him. He’s turned towards the forest encircling the town, his eye apparently having been caught.
“Garry? Is something wrong?”
“I… No, but…well, I can’t quite explain it. But I feel like…” he trails off, frowning as he steps forward. Curiosity piqued, you follow him, staying quiet when he bends down to look at something.
“This,” he states, picking the object up. You frown, going to look at it.
“A blue petal?” you wonder, frowning. “What’s that doing here? It’s fall, and there are no blue flowers over here.”
Your friend nods in agreement. “I have the strangest feeling that I should hold onto this.”
“Then keep it somewhere safe. Your gut is almost always right.”
You’re about to add something when…
“Ow!” you cry, grunting as a sharp pain emanates from your head. It’s like a headache, but way more intense.
You hear Garry saying your name before he too cries out, kneeling down as well. You clutch your skull, willing for the pain to subside, when…
A/N: Thanks for the support on this series so far! I hope you enjoyed. I hope that the next chapter will be out soon. Reblogs, likes, and comments are all highly appreciated <3333 Also, please let me know if you'd like to be tagged for updates :D
Also fun fact, when I write I usually find a song that overall gives me the vibes for the story, and the song that helped me write these two chapters is Sextape by Deftones :) Give it a listen-
youtube
Jungkook watched as the figure turned back around and ran across the other room and into the room on top that he knew gave stairs to the building. He was stuck. Now here bleeding out only to be given to police. This is it.
You stared at the screen in disbelief. There was no way this was how your brother was going to end this chapter. No fuckin way. You looked around in confusion before your eyes fell on the pencil in its holder. You wondered if you should erase it. Then when your brother hopefully comes back, you can tell him that the police accidentally wiped it and then later on convince him to have a different ending. Yeah...That would work. You grabbed the pencil, the thick handle sitting comfortably between your fingers. You hit the eraser icon and as soon as the pencil tip hit the screen, you felt warmth.
Almost like you were sucked into a hot room. A sauna, but without the humidity. It was bright for only a second, and then it was dark. You blinked slowly, your head pulsing. "Ow..what the fuck..." You groaned as you rubbed your temples. Your hands started to lift you from the ground, and you paused as you felt the feeling of concrete and small pieces of rocks. You looked up, the wind blowing your hair as you looked around. You slowly stood up, your eyebrows furrowed and eyes squinting from the lingering headache. You froze.
The city. How? You...You were just in your brother's room. At your parent's house. In the countryside. Did you never leave your studio apartment? But why were you on the roof? Was this whole time of visiting family only a dream? You looked around in disbelief before hearing a faint moan. You whipped your head around and saw someone laying on the ground, a pool of red under them.
"Are-Are you okay?" You asked, quickly running to them. You knelt down next to them, looking at their wounds. I-It's okay! I'm a nurse. I can help you..." You trailed off as soon as you saw his face. Jungkook. "Jungkook-" You slapped your hand over your mouth as soon as you said his name. He looked up at you, his face a twisted mix of pain and confusion. "Do I know you?" He choked out. "N-No. Um...what happened?" You asked. He scoffed. "You're a nurse. You should know..." He trailed off. He was going in and out of consciousness.
"Fuck, um...I'mma call 911." You said, reaching into your pocket and grabbing your phone. You paused when you saw you had no connection. "D-Don't call the police." Jungkook came back from consciousness, his eyes wide. "I need to get an ambulance for you, you're bleeding out." You looked at him up and down, his blood slowly pooling out as he lost more and more blood. "Please...no." He whispered. You looked around, hoping to see someone but there was none. "So do you just want to die out here?" You asked.
You didn't mean to sound mean, but he was being ridiculous at this point. "No...just...you're a nurse, can you take me to your place? I'll like...pay you or whatever to help me just please don't." He was pleaded but it all sounded like a stupid idea to you. Plus, did you even live here?
"You're fucking stupid, no! You've been shot, I have no idea what arteries might've been hit in that leg-" You panicked and Jungkook closed his eyes. He was really about to die out here. With a stupid, useless nurse. Which made it even worse.
"Fine. Whatever. I'll just die." Jungkook said. You gaped at him. "No fuckin way, come on, I'll take you to the hospital myself. Is there an urgent care near?" You asked. "You don't know? You found me." He winced as you grabbed his arm, putting it around your shoulders and slowly helped him up. "I'm um...not from around here." You murmured. Jungkook looked at you, his eyes scanning your face as you chewed at your bottom lip. "How annoying..." He grumbled. You contemplated dropping him back down and letting him bleed out, but then you realized that you'd have this man's life on your mind forever, and you don't want to deal with that trauma.
You two slowly but surely went to the open stairs of the building, making your way down. "Can we use an elevator? You're heavy..." You complained. He was practically dead weight against you, and as strong as you might think you are, a dead weight body is incredible heavy. "No fuckin way. The cops will find me that way." Jungkook was very stubborn, and he was starting to piss you off. "Fine. Then put more work in. You're fat and I can't carry you down all these stairs."
Jungkook rolled his eyes but started to carefully take some of his weight off of you, not wanting to do too much because he was still weak from losing so much blood. Eventually you two make it out the building from the side door, and stumble a couple blocks to a nearby urgent care. You sighed in relief when they took Jungkook into a stretcher and started taking care of his actively bleeding wounds as he was wheeled off. You sat in one of the chairs in the waiting room, your right side stained with his blood.
"Are you his family?" A nurse asked as she stood in front of you. You looked up at her wide eyed "Uh, oh, no. No, I'm just a nurse. I happened to find him and took him here." You combed your hair back, your bangs sticking to your forehead with sweat. "Oh? Where do you work?" Your mouth opened and closed before opening once more, thinking of how to even respond. "Um...is there a bathroom I can wash up in?" You stood, the nurse stepping back with a confused expression before nodding and pointing you in the direction of the bathroom.
You hurried into the large bathroom, locking the door behind you. You sighed, looking yourself in the mirror and gripping the sink hard, your knuckles almost turning white. "What in the ever loving fuck is going on?" You hoped your reflection would reply. Tell you this is all a dream. This is a dream. Yeah, it's a dream.
You washed your face, hands, and legs, already giving up trying to clean the blood from your pajamas when it seemed to just spread and make your skin wet and sticky. "Fuckin hell..." You sighed before leaving the bathroom and sitting back at the waiting area, away from any nurses who may walk past to avoid any further questions.
-
You felt like you were there for hours. You were there for hours. The sound of people crying and alerts over the intercom helped drown out the sound of your own thoughts. Your mind could beat Usain Bolt right now with how hard it was racing. You just sat quietly, cross legged at the ankles. You should leave. You kept telling yourself that, but at the same time you wanted to stay. See if he was okay. Maybe it's because you kinda pretended as if you were waiting for your brother. Hopefully not in these circumstances but to hope he was okay, might bring you some clarity. "Excuse me..." A doctor said as she walked over to you.
You silently hoped there would be no more questions. "Are you with Jeon Jungkook?" She asked. You slowly nodded. "He's fine, in stable condition. Luckily the bullets missed all the important organs and arteries. The bullet in his leg shattered and we had to take those out so please come back if there's any complications after discharge. But luckily the bullet in his abdomen went straight through with no massive damage so that was an easy fix."
She explained everything to you and you sighed in relief. This means you can leave. Finally. "He is ready to see you now." The doctor interrupted your thoughts. "Ex-Excuse me?" You couldn't stop your constant stuttering. "He has requested to see you." You opened your mouth but no words left you, so you simply nodded and followed the doctor through a set or doors towards the patient rooms.
"He's in here. Our visiting hours are over in an hour." She said, nodding to you before walking off. You looked back at her as she left, then turned towards the sliding door of the patient room. Your hand reached out to grab the handle, your fingers wiggling slightly with nervousness. "Annoying Nurse? I know you're there." You could hear Jungkook's deep voice from the other side of the door and you huffed, sliding the door open and going inside quickly. "Annoying nurse? I have a name you know."
"Never told me it, so that's your fault." Jungkook looked at you from his bed, his hospital gown slightly open showing a wrap around his abdomen. You then glanced at the cast on his leg, and the stack of pillows keeping it elevated. "My name is (Y/N), so you can stop calling me annoying. Please." You sighed, taking a seat next to his bed. "Fine. But only because you said please." He smirked. You rolled your eyes. "I just wanted to say thank you. For saving my life." You looked Jungkook in the eye, his eyes on his hands which were picking at his individual fingers.
"No need to thank me. It's my job." You gave him a soft smile. He looked over at you, and matched his smile with yours. "You work here?" You bit your bottom lip. "No...I uh...I work somewhere else. Out of town." You said it so quietly Jungkook almost couldn't hear you. "Oh...okay."
The silence was so uncomfortable you debated just getting up and leaving now, which you thought would be perfect. "Well, visiting hours are probably already over, so I will get going now." You laughed awkwardly, standing up slowly and wiping your sweaty palms agains your pajama shorts. You turned to walk out the door but then a hand reached out and grabbed yours.
You turned back around and saw Jungkook's bandaged hand engulfing your smaller palm. "Can you come back tomorrow?" He almost had puppy dog eyes with the way he looked up at you. "I...I don't know..." You started. "I'll pay for lunch...or dinner. Or whatever you want. Please?" You thought to yourself. "Hmm...fine, but only because you said please." You teased, and Jungkook snorted. He gave you a toothy grin and you felt your cheeks heat up slightly with his hand still wrapped around yours.
"Goodnight Jungkook." You pulled your hand from his grasp and slide open the door to his room. "Goodnight...Y/N" He said as you closed his door. He looked around the hospital room and sighed. "Such an annoying nurse." He chuckled.
-
Now that you were finally out of there, you could properly freak the fuck out. First off, where the fuck are you? Second, why in the fuck is Framed character, Jeon Jungkook, in the same world as you right now? Third, what in the fucking fuck? Fuck? You raked your hands through your messy hair, the reality of everything setting in. What if you're stuck here? What about your family? Your friends? Your job???
You rubbed at your temples. Okay (Y/N), don't stress yourself out too much now. Maybe if you just...go to sleep...you'll wake up back at home. It's a dream remember? You looked around. Where the fuck will you go? You contemplated everything and just realized you should probably just stay at the hospital. You had nowhere to go.
As you made your way back to the entrance doors, three cop cars pulled up and cops started to jump out their cars. You jumped back in surprise. "Are you alright?" One of the officers said, looking at your blood stained clothes. "Y-Yeah I'm fine, I was dropping off a friend." You stammered. The officer looked you up and down curiously. "Well anyways, have you seen this man? He is currently wanted by police." The officer scrolled on his phone before showing you a photo and you almost choked on your spit. A picture of Jungkook was staring right back at you, his purple dyed hair a mess. It's a mugshot.
"Uh...no. Why? What did he do?" You looked at the officer, trying to hold your composure. Why in the hell was there a mugshot of Jungkook? Is that why he wouldn't let you call the police? "We can't say that. Just wondering if you'd seen him." The officer asked once again, as if telling you to just own up to it.
Like hell you were going to do that. You got questions and this little criminal needed to give you answers. "Nope. Never seen him. If you'll please excuse me, my boyfriend was shot and I'm here to make sure he's okay." Your mouth was moving faster than your brain. Boyfriend? Why in the fuck did you say that? The officer's right eyebrow raised curiously. "Did you shoot him?" You cocked your head in confusion before remembering your current attire.
"N-No! I saved his life. Now...please excuse me." You pushed past the officer as you made your way back into the hospital and into the elevators to go to the patient rooms. Once you arrived on the correct floor you snuck past the nurses station, knowing if they saw you they'd tell you to go home since visiting hours were over. Once you got to Jungkook's room, you quietly slide open the door and closed it once you were inside.
"You're back?" Jungkook's voice could've startled you if you weren't already freaking the fuck out. "Jungkook...I just got stopped by the cops." You looked over at him and you visibly saw his adam's apple bob from the gulp he swallowed. "Yeah? And?" This fucker is playing dumb. "And? Jungkook you're wanted by the police! What did you do?" You exclaimed. "Okay, say it louder for the security down the hall." He rolled his eyes, his arms folded across his chest as he huffed, annoyed.
"I didn't do anything." Your eyes could've popped out your head with how hard your eyes were bulging at him. "The police seem to think differently. They showed me your fuckin mugshot, dude." You sat next to his bed, your hands raking your hair with frustration. "That was from something unrelated. This time...it wasn't me." He looked like he really wanted you to believe him. "What happened?" You just wanted to know. You weren't sure if you were sitting with an innocent man or some kind of killer but it would help to make sure?
Jungkook paused, his eyes dashing around as if he was thinking if he should even tell me or not. "Fine...don't tell me." You were starting to get annoyed. You were hoping he would trust you, with you saving his life and all, but that didn't seem to be the case. "(Y/N)..." He started but you were quick to shut him down. "Forget it. Good luck with your case." You slide open the door, your face turned pale when you saw a nurse walking with a police officer.
You slide the door shut once more, and Jungkook looked at you curiously. "Jungkook...the police are here." You whispered. You felt the room go cold and Jungkook looked around nervously. "We gotta go." He started moving, ripping his IV out his arm swinging his leg over the bed with a groan. "Wait what? What the fuck? N-No!" You walked over to him, trying to push him back by his chest. He pushed your hands away.
"I'm not about to be taken for something I did not do." He was angry. Frustrated. You hesistated, watching as he stood and grabbed his bag of clothes. "I'll...I'll help you." Jungkook turned towards you. "You will? Even though you don't know if I'm some crazed killer or not?" You pursed your lips. "Is that what they're trying to arrest you for?" Jungkook took a deep breath in, not saying anything else as he limped towards his things that were put into a hospital bag and then slipped on his hospital slippers.
He turned towards you again, looking you over once more as you stood there. "Are you just gonna stare at me or are you gonna come with me?" You nodded, going over to him and letting him wrap his arm around your shoulder once more. You slid open the door, looking in the direction of where the nurse and officer were and not seeing them. "They might be talking about you, we gotta go." You whispered and Jungkook nodded, following you towards the nearby stairs.
"Wait, can we use the elevator?" Jungkook looked at you as if you were the dumbest on earth. "You truly are the most annoying person I've ever met." He let go of your shoulder. "You go on the elevator, distract the nurse and cop, and meet me on the side of the building. I'll call someone to pick us up since you apparently don't live around here." He rolled his eyes and opened up the door to the stairs, wincing slightly in pain.
You nodded, ignoring his earlier remark and started for the elevator. Right as you were close, the nurse and cop you saw earlier spotted you. "Excuse me? Visiting hours ended a while ago." She said. You looked at her apologetically. "Sorry...my boyfriend was shot and I just needed to see him one more time. Bring him some snacks and stuff." You continued heading for the elevator, ignoring the calls from the nurse and officer as you pressed the first floor button and mashed the 'closed elevator' button repetitively.
Once you got to the first floor, you walked calmly out the door, ignoring the looks from the earlier officer that questioned you earlier. As soon as you touched the outside, a large exhale escaped your lungs. How long were you holding your breath? As you walked, you heard a low voice call out to you. "(Y/N)." Jungkook called for you in a silent yell. You hurried over to him, grabbing his arm once again to help him balance himself.
"Where is your friend?" You looked up at him. "Behind here." He started walking and you tried your best to help him along the way, the weight of his body was a little easier to handle now. He wasn't extremely heavy, but the amount of muscle on him did add to his weight and made it a little hard to keep hold of him.
As you kept walking you noticed a car parked with its lights off. You opened the door and Jungkook slowly sat into the back seat, wincing and groaned the whole time. You tried to look at the driver but couldn't. What if this is just his plan to kidnap you? You know what he's on the run for, getting rid of you will just make things easier.
"Come on." Jungkook grabbed your arm, pulling you into the car with him. You sat, a little reluctant but deciding it's for the best. You could have somewhere to sleep, if Jungkook doesn't kill you first. Once you were inside, you could now see who was driving. Kim Seokjin. Jungkook's other best friend in this story.
"Jesus Christ dude, who did that to you?" He looked back at Jungkook, his eyes then shifting to you. "Is this a new one?" That question almost seemed like an insult. New one? You don't remember Jungkook being a player in the story? How many relationships has he been in?
"Shut up and drive, dude. I'm sure the cops just realized I'm gone." Jungkook looked around, almost paranoid. "Okay fine." Seokjin started driving, waiting till he was on the road before turning his headlights on. He then turned on the radio, pop punk softly playing. Jungkook was exhausted. Terribly exhausted, and he couldn't help but rest his head on your shoulder. You stiffened at first, but then understood immediately and relaxed.
You smell good. He thought to himself as he took a slow deep breath, taking in your scent. Even though you smelled slightly of his blood, there was this other natural scent from you. Your hair smelled clean. Like you just washed it before finding him bleeding out on the roof. He appreciated this. It helps him relax.
The drive was long, but it helped ease the worry between Jungkook's brow, and he was relieved when you all arrived at Seokjin's brother's house. "My brother is away on a business trip for a month, so this place is yours until you figure things out." Seokjin explained everything to you two as he helped Jungkook get out the car. Jungkook gritted his teeth in pain. He looked over to you, seeing your tired expression. "Is it okay if we use his clothes?"
"Yeah dude, no problem. Just make sure you wash everything before you leave." Seokjin opened the door for you, letting you in first before helping Jungkook. "There's two bedrooms, so there's another place to sleep." You glanced around the place. This was a very nice house. One you didn't mind staying in for as long as Jungkook wanted.
What was that? You were thinking as if you were gonna be here another night. This is just a very long, draining dream. After tonight, you will wake up in your bed or on the floor of your brother's room and wonder what happened. "Thank you, Hyung." Jungkook watched you as you walked around. "Oh, so now we're using formalities?" Seokjin joked, walking Jungkook into one of the rooms and setting him on the bed.
"Alright, I'll leave you two be. Reminder, this is only for a month, so don't get too comfortable. And also, please clean up after yourself. Also please throw all your condoms away in the outside trash or flush them, if ya'll use those. I don't want my brother asking too many questions." Seokjin looked at the both of you and you looked back at him wide eyed, your face as hot as an oven.
"Hyung. Stop. We're just friends." Jungkook looked almost as flustered as you, his eyes quickly averting yours. "Really? Just friends with someone this hot? Then you don't mind if I flirt with them right?" Seokjin flashed you a wide grin and you bit your lip nervously. Seokjin is a very...very handsome man yet you couldn't imagine doing anything with him. Jungkook glanced between the two of you and something rose within him. Jealousy? No fuckin way. Either way it pissed him off seeing his friend look at you like that.
"Jin..." Seokjin chuckled, shaking his head. "And the formalities are gone again." He headed out the room and down the hall. "Alright kids, I'll leave you two alone." You both waited in silence, waiting for the sound of the front door to close and lock before both exhaling.
"Holy shit...um...well. This is nice I guess." You were trying to find anything to get your mind off whatever just happened and you could see Jungkook either was trying to do the same or honestly didn't care because he just slowly laid down onto the bed. "I'm going to sleep. It's been a long night." He grumbled and you nodded, the awkward silence engulfing the room once again. "Gotcha...I'll just...go into the other room." You headed towards the door before hearing the bed creak slightly.
"Goodnight." Jungkook stared at you as you walked out the door and slowly closed it behind you. "Night, Jungkook." You said before shutting it. Once you were out the room, you felt all the stiffness and uneasiness leave you. Holy fuck, you need a shower. You smelled of blood and sweat and it was utterly disgusting. You went straight into the bathroom and started the shower, shedding your clothes off and hopping in as soon as the water was scolding hot. You let the water drop onto your naked body, the water slowly washing the dried blood off of you and trailing into the drain. You grabbed the soap on the side and started scrubbing, almost as if you were trying to scrub five layers of skin off.
After your shower and you felt like you were fresh and raw from the hot water and hard scrubbing, you wrapped yourself in a fluffy towel and made your way into the other bedroom. Once you were inside you opened a dresser and saw a couple large shirts. You were thankful they were huge cause you didn't have any spare underwear to wear.
You pulled it over your head, the soft material falling over your body and resting at your mid thigh. You put the towel to your hair and dried your hair as much as possible, your arms felt so tired that just lifting them to dry your hair was a lot of work. You put the towel on the ground and made your way over to the bed and went under the sheets. This was what you finally needed. A comfortable bed. And now, as you fall asleep, you can look forward to waking up back home.
