A/N: I mention the Agents of Atlas and Pearl/Wave aka the Filipina superhero. If you don’t know who they are, I highly suggest to read up on them because they’re awesome.

When you were personally recruited to the Avengers in America, you couldn’t believe it. You were so excited, but you were also conflicted. You confided with Pearl about your situation and she replied with “Ikaw gaga?! You’re going! This is a great opportunity!”

She was right, it was a great opportunity. So, unfortunately, you had to say goodbye to Pearl, to the Agents of Atlas, to your family, your friends, your homeland. 

Coming to America, it was a bittersweet feeling. You spent your first few months adapting to the environment and the people. Sam, being that he was Captain America, took it upon himself to help you with the transition as much as he can. But while he was away on missions, Bucky took his place. 

Being that you were working in the lab, you saw him often to check on his arm. While checking the wiring and updates, you two would chat. Bucky would share some of his mission stories, and you would share your stories about your work with Pearl and the Atlas team. You couldn’t see it, but Bucky would always find himself smiling whenever you talked about the Philippines and your life there. He could see how much you loved your job, your people, and your work. But he could also see the sadness, how the distance was taking a toll on you. 

So he always did the best he could to bring a smile to your face, to cheer you up, and because he loved it when you smiled. 

Also, because you were new to the team, you felt like you had to prove yourself. Working long hours, longer than required, just to prove you deserve to be there and to stay with them. But it seems like these longs hours were taking a toll on you because when you woke up this morning, you felt terrible. 

You slowly put your work clothes on, dragging yourself into work. You were there for less than an hour when Bruce finally took a good look at you and saw how sickly you look. 

“Y/N, I think you should take today off.”

You swayed as you turned to Bruce’s green hulking figure, “I’m fine. Promise.”

He grabs you by the shoulders to steady you, “You’re clearly not. Take today off. Rest. Take some medicine, eat some soup. You’re not working today.”

“But-”

“Nope.”

You sigh, rubbing your sweaty head with your clammy hand, “Okay.” you take your things and head back up to your room. 

You weren’t sleepy, and you didn’t feel too dizzy anymore, so you decided to make yourself some soup, specifically sinigang. You recall your lola making it for you whenever you were sick or even if you were feeling down. It was your comfort food. 

You take out the ingredients one by one, setting them onto the counter. You chop up the beef, onions, and tomatoes. Afterwards, you toss them into the pot with some oil to brown and saute. 

As you stand before the stove, moving the ingredients around, you start feeling dizzy again. You try holding onto the counter for balance, but it doesn’t work. Soon enough, you feel yourself falling and you’re waiting to meet the floor, but it doesn’t come. 

“Y/N, are you okay?!” 

You look up and see a blurry version of a familiar blue-eyes super soldier, “Bucky?” you murmur, trying to focus your eyes, but it isn’t working. 

Bucky pulls you up, wrapping his metal arm around you to keep you from falling. With his free hand, he feels your head with the back of his hand, “Geez, sweetheart, you’re burnin’ up. Bruce told me you weren’t feeling well. I came to check up on ya. Good thing I did. You nearly bashed your head into the counter.”

“I’m....I’m..ffffine. Just need.....sin-sin-soup,” you point to the pot that’s sizzling with meat and veggies inside. 

Bucky shakes his head, “You’re not cooking in your state. That’s a definite safety hazard. I’m taking you to bed and I’ll finish cooking the soup for you.”

“Bucky, no-”

“Bucky, yes. You need to rest, Y/N or you’ll get even worse.” As if you weighed nothing, he scoops you up and brings you to your room. Using his foot, he opens the door, and pushes it open. Then he places you onto your bed, pulling back the covers and helping you under them. 

As soon as he pulls the blanket over you, you sigh. Your eyes flutter shut and your head luls to the side. You’re out like a light and Bucky quietly chuckles to himself. 

He stands there, watching you sleep for a little bit, but then he remembers the food. He quickly and quietly rushes out of your room, leaving the door ajar in case you call for him, and head to the kitchen. 

He lowers the heat and looks inside the pot to find some browned beef, translucent white onions, and tomatoes. He’s not exactly sure what kind of soup you were making.

“Uh, FRIDAY, what exactly was Y/N trying to make?”

“Miss L/N was in the process of making sinigang, a traditional soup that originates from the Philippines.”

“Right. Uuuuhhh, do you mind if you could assist me in making this?”

“Not at all, Agent Barnes.”

When you wake up, you’re a little bit groggy. Your body feels a little heavy, but at least your head isn’t spinning anymore. You look at your window and still see sunlight peeking from the blind. You turn to your bedside and see that it’s half past noon. You were asleep for nearly five hours. 

“How’re you feeling?”

“AYE!” you scream in fright and turn to the other side of your bed to see Bucky sitting in a chair, with a book in hand, “How long have you been there?”

He chuckles, setting his book onto your bedside, “Since you fell asleep. Well, a little less than that since I went to go finish making your, uh, sinigong?”

You giggle at his pronunciation, “Sinigang. But good try.”

“Hey, I don’t make fun of you when you attempt Russian.”

“Yes, you do!” both of you it there, chuckling with each other. A silence falls upon both of you, but it’s not awkward. It’s comforting. 

But you still clear your throat and break the silence, “So, you made the soup. How’d that go?”

“Uh, alright, I guess? FRIDAY helped me out. Also, I honestly didn’t even know tamarind was a thing until now?”

You nod, “Yeah, that’s what makes the sinigang sour.”

“Um, are you hungry? I brought some to you earlier, but you were still asleep. I could get you some?”

“I could get it my-”

“No no, you stay in bed. By order of Doctor Banner.”

“He came by?” you gave him a confused look.

Bucky nodded, “Yeah. You were out of it, so I’m not surprised you don’t remember. Also, you’re not working for the next two weeks.”

“WHAT?!” You shoot up from the bed, “But-”

“I’ll tell you why in a sec, okay? I’m gonna get you some soup and a glass of water. Okay? Stay right there! Don’t move!”

You roll your eyes and lay back down, “Whatever you say, tay.”

“Don’t know what tay is, but okay.” he shoots you a wink and exits the room. You lay there giggling to yourself like a school girl who has a big crush. Well, to be fair, you do have a big crush on Bucky. 

Minutes later, Bucky comes back with a steaming bowl and a large glass of water. He sits beside you and offering you a spoonful. You look at him with a glare and he rolls his eyes, “Humor me.”

You sigh and accept the spoonful of soup. You feel your throat warm up from it and you smack your lips together, “It’s good!”

He snorts, “Don’t sound so surprised.”

You place a hand on his thigh and gave him a grateful smile, “Thank you, Bucky, for making the soup and taking care of me.”

“Anything for you, sweetheart. Just-Just easy on the workload from now on, okay? Bruce says you’ve been working so much that that’s probably what got you sick.”

“Well, maybe I’ll keep getting sick so you can take care of me,” you playfully bat your eyes at him and he laughs. 

“I’ll do anything you want, doll. Don’t gotta get sick for it.”

You giggle and pat his leg, “Okay. Deal,” and then accept another spoonful of sinigang from Bucky.

just crack+ fluff + platonic-ish relationship (gn!y/n) (w: language!) a/n: this has been bugging me for awhile now since i havent seen headcanons of this yet (if their are do send them on my ask box) and since im on a slump, i decided to write this down. this is completely fun, easy-going, and self-indulgent, really perfect for someone stuck on a slump ksks. idk if i should make some for the other schools but oh welp enjoy! happy 900 btw werkwerk uwu so weird to reach this when im not even very active.

Now let’s be honest here, it’s no surprise that the volleyball team of aoba johsai has their own sports journalist. Like, c’mon, they’re one of the best in the prefecture.

But let’s start with the basics here, shall we? Let’s start with you, how this all goes through, and how you got into this heaping pile of mess.

Yep, you.

There you were in high hopes to get into journalism for college so what better way was it than to apply for the school paper? It would definitely look good and pretty in those college applications *chef’s kiss* you’re a second year btw idk if that matters but yeah..

Much to your surprise no one was applying for the news section which was kind of sad since you wanted a buddy there.

but-but it turns out though everyone was applying for the sports section completely understandable, next to feature, it was the most exciting thing to write because there was going to be a special section and writer for the volleyball team.

You knew that volleyball was kind of a big thing around your school?? you just didn’t expect it to amass like that much people.

The editor in chief is obviously surprised, you were the first person on that day to come in there and actually apply for something else.

and guess where that led you to?

Yep, the sport’s section, specifically the volleyball team’s personal sports journalist. Your brain goes brrt brrt because you were not a sports writer at all and you were, ironically, scared of ball games.

VOLLEYBALL WAS COMPLETELY NEW TERRITORY FOR YOU.

Your editor in chief laughs it off and says, “you’ll do fine… its like news bUT SPORTS! IT’LL DEFINITELY LOOK GOOD IN YOUR APPLICATIONS!”

You’re not sure if you should be terrified or terrified?

It doesn’t help that on the first day when you enter the gym you look terribly constipated and panicking a lot because of all the stray balls being spiked and tossed around.

It also didn’t help that you crash course the terminologies and the member’s name a night before and you were just running on iced coffee that day.

Yeah, way to make a first impression, huh?

When you approach the coach, you’re not exactly sure what to say and you were this close to chickening out until you saw one of the players come up to you and ask if you were alright and if you wanted to talk to oikawa.

you’re loading for a second there.

and the poor guy who asks you if you were alright, starts looking actually worried because you weren’t responding at all.

“OH, oH IS THAT THE CAPTAIN?”

the guy literally looks very confused?? because what kind of rock were you living under that you didn’t know Oikawa???

so you go ahead and introduce yourself and say that your name was Y/N and you were the new sports journalist for the team.

“....soooo you write?”

“...”

at this point on, you’re also confused too

and idk man, first impressions do indeed last because you ended up (unknowingly) sharing the same brain cell with Matsukawa Issei.

you both were just confused there, straight up looking like two kids who got left behind by their mom in the grocery check-out line.

anyways...

He tells you the team’s pretty chill and you should stop looking like they spiked a ball on your puppy or something.

Basically introduces you to the whole team after, 

no questions asked, just go with the flow.

You basically just click and vibe???

Not only because you crash coursed and related to whatever they said, 

you literally all shared the same brain cell together.

Kentaro was another story though, kid basically hated your guts at first, it felt like if you were to say one sentence to him that day, he’d literally spike a ball at your direction.

“we’re basically the same year tho :(” -Y/N

“lmao well do i’ve got news for you, y/n-chan.” - Oikawa and basically everyone on the team.

you gradually start to understand the coolness of the sport since you had to incorporate visiting them once or twice a week during practice.

but suddenly it becomes almost a daily routine after a month because they’re just really friendly people??

like wow, they’re all friendly giants.

You’re literally just there to write about them but they’re really patient and kind, they even invite you to practice games so that you could practice out your skills in writing since you mentioned that you’ve never written for sports yet.

they even give you some added key terms that aren’t found in books and online.

you’re def closest to iwaizumi and matsukawa.

iwaizumi because he makes really funny fish jokes about oikawa (yes you arent supposed to be laughing but man theyre funny af, oikawa would usually call you and iwa corny because the jokes aren’t even that funny) and yes its canon that whenever iwaizumi sees an oikawa fish in textbooks, he starts laughing and joking about it.

no explanation needed why you ended up being close to matsukawa.

its obvious after that first meeting ya both would be besties.

like when you release a new write up about them, Oikawa would usually go, “It’s such an honor to be apart of your first steps, can you sign this?”

so its sort of a thank you for giving the team justice when you write about them.

team says you’re technically part of the team so they make you your own jersey. Now when you watch your games people ask if you’re like the manager or smthng.

When they lost against shiratorizawa and karasuno, you were bawling too like you were apart of the team.

this pretty much cheered everyone up despite the loss because your crying face was apparently very funny and memable.

oh right, your article was passed on to the town’s newspaper

it was literally like 7 am on a saturday and your notifs went zoop.

they added you to their group chat and spammed you with pictures of the articles that you wrote.

Oh my god I loved writing this headcanon ^_^ I’ve never seen anyone do an HC about this and I actually thought it was so creative! For those of you who don’t know, Mukbang is just livestreaming while eating food and interacting with the viewers. It’s actually something that’s getting popular lately in Korea so I totally see MC actually doing this xD Also, some who do mukbangs actually get money for it~ Thank you for requesting :D

This boy was literally playing his video games while supposedly studying

Of course it was LOLOL and he was legit hacking at his keyboard

It’s a miracle that his computer is still alive up to this day

You had texted him a few times to see what he was doing before you started your live stream.

It’s not that you wanted to keep it a secret from Yoosung but it’s a natural reaction

You began the livestream fairly late at night but it was the only time you were free

You decided to livestream outside on the penthouse balcony and also for the good lighting

You start and give your wacky introduction with some funny chopstick moves

As per usual, you interact with your viewers asking them questions about their favorite street foods and late night cravings

It was all fun for you and you had missed doing these broadcasts for a while

You were surprised you still had a solid fanbase

Then suddenly the comments started blowing up, saying that there was someone behind you entering through the door

MC there’s someone in your house!

Turn around and run away MC!!

So you were a little frightened by their reactions until you looked back and found Jumin right behind you

And you looked glamorous

Half a hotteok pancake was sticking out from your mouth, so instead of Jumin giving you a kiss as a greeting, he simply took a bite directly from the same pancake sticking out

Jumin saw the camera and the video being recorded and simply asked

You still loved it when he considered your favorite foods commoner foods. It was really cute in your opinion because he liked that type of food just as much ever since you married him

You finished your hotteok with wide eyes and turned back to the screen for a moment

“I forgot to tell you guys something. I actually got married while I was away from mukbangs! He’s actually my husband not an intruder.”

Jumin caught on and introduced himself super formally (chill boi, just let loose)

“Long story short, I married him in 11 days– Ya! Jumin get back here and join me!”

He changed clothes first before joining you. He was actually really delighted to do a mukbang with you

Given, he had no idea what a mukbang is because “commoner” things

“So. What exactly do I do here?”

You couldn’t help but laugh. He actually needed help with this

“Well first of all, sit right next to me. Really close to me. And then eat. Oh and talk to the viewers too! Looks like they want to meet you. And, I think we’re going to need more food…”

Jumin couldn’t deny that the food was so delicious. Remind him to buy more of this food when he gets off work

After a while he got comfortable with the live stream even though it was his first time and you left him to it while you went across the street to buy more food

You were overjoyed to come back and see him actually enjoying himself.

You loved seeing him doing “commoner” things after all

The live stream went well into the night and the both of you weren’t no strangers to PDA.

Besides, it was fan service anyway.

Jaehee:

“And on today’s episode of Vlogs with MmmmmC, I’ll be doing something different”

Today, your mukbang wasn’t the traditional livestream. Usually you would just be at your apartment eating food that you made for Jaehee because Hey someone’s gotta make food right

You were actually doing a lowkey promotion of yours and Jaehee’s Cafe.

Considering how large a fan base you had, you decided to use it to your advantage honestly

It would make jaehee so happy to know that a lot more people were coming to her Cafe.

IT would be a little gift to her from you.

You were live streaming from your phone as you walked over to the Cafe

“Alright so today, I’ll actually be going to a Cafe and tasting food from there. It’s a somewhat new Cafe but the food is soooooo good.”

As you walk in through the door, Jaehee sees you and is suddenly confused. She was cleaning things up before planning to close for the day.

“You guys want to know why the food is so good here? It’s because I work here and my girlfriend owns this place! Jaehee come here!”

You tell her to introduce herself to your viewers and she does so but very shyly.

You give her a little kiss and ask if it’s okay to show them some of the pastries that were in the fridge.

Jaehee was totally on board with this and actually took your phone and started showing the viewers around the cafe even though this was her first mukbang

The comments coming in were super friendly and positive

Most of them were anxious for you to reveal the address of the cafe because for one they wanted to meet you but the food also genuinely looked delicious

Some of the fans even begged for more fan service and how could you deny it

You loved Jaehee so much, no one had to tell you when to kiss her or not anyway.

Every chance you could, you gave Jaehee a peck on the cheek and at one point of the live stream, you were being a cringe cuddly couple as you both fed each other desserts.

At the end of the live stream you revealed the location of the cafe and the next morning there was a line outside the Cafe

Jaehee was just wonderstruck

But she couldn’t thank you enough

A part of her was also thinking that there was going to be so much work ahead of you.

But it’s okay. You made sure to get Zen and Yoosung on board to help out with baking

You already knew you had a large fan base but you didn’t expect them to be this dedicated

Zen:

Zen found out about your Mukbangs the same day it came out into the news that the two of you were dating

“And in breaking news, famous actor Zen Ryu has been found to be in a relationship with Ms. MC, a well known mukbang online celebrity.”

Okay it was a stretch for you to be called a celebrity but you were definitely well known online.

You were surprised that Zen didn’t know yet but it made sense.

He was always busy with rehearsals  

What he didn’t know was that you also make it rain with your live streams.

As the news continued, clips from your old videos were replayed along with some newer ones

You were cringing at the old videos

Oh my god you were actually a very embarrassing girl back when you started these videos

What even was up with your hair and clothes??

You couldn’t bare to watch the news so you were going to change the channel but Zen took the remote from you, chuckling at your reaction.

“Oh come on MC. You were adorable back then. What happened to you? You became so gorgeous.”

“Noooo, it’s so embarrassing! I don’t even know what I was doing back then. Why was I even dying my hair back then oh god what was I”

Zen was trying so hard not to laugh

For the rest of that day, Zen insisted in re-watching your most popular mukbangs and you gave in

You actually laughed at yourself.

You were so messy when it came to eating ramen and other noodle dishes

Then you got the idea to film another mukbang

After all, it had been a few months since you did one and you were feeling kind of nostalgic

You looked in the fridge and saw some left overs and thought that was just fine for this episode

The viewers came swarming in as they were super excited to see you again especially after the revealing of your relationship with Zen

Even if he was in the middle of work he would always join in and watch your live streams

He thought you were always so cute but one day he started seeing comments in the chat asking whether or not you have a boyfriend

You were both actually at home that day but he was in his office working

You were actually surprised when someone asked you that, that you ending up coughing while you had food in your mouth

You cleaned yourself up first before telling your viewers about your boyfriend

Oh god it was like a slippery slope. One person asked and then a flood of chats came in only asking you about your current relationship status

You have no idea why but it made you blush all of a sudden to talk about it

But looks like you didn’t have to because Saeyoung actually hacked your livestream

So now he was the star of the show and you were just completely dumbstruck

“Hi MC! Guess what? I knew about your mukbangs all along *insert cackling noise*”

“So you guys were clearly asking her about her boyfriend and let me tell you, she’s taken. By me. And a space ship”

He was literally doing his own mukbang with your viewers as he ate honey Buddha chips and talked on and on about you

Some viewers were still not convinced about him being your boyfriend as you continued reading the comments

Since he was pranking you, you had to get some payback.

You grabbed the ramen plate and the udon noodles and went downstairs to his office

You casually entered and Saeyoung didn’t notice you there so from behind, you dumped ramen and udon all over his head.

Then once again you appear on his camera and say

“Yes everyone. This noodle boy is my boyfriend. And well I didn’t really give him permission to hack my livestream. Did I, Saeyoung?”

You were literally a laughing mess as Saeyoung was still frozen in his seat.

You sat on his lap and well you gave him a kiss on the lips that clearly tasted like spicy ramen

You look at the camera, chuckling and say

You decided to end the livestream there because you two were about to do some NSFW things

It all started after you took his glasses off that were covered in soup

V started catching on when he was finding that his video camera always went missing

He had it stored with all his cameras so of course he would know what’s missing

The only other person who knew where he stored his cameras was you so he went to ask you where it was or if you happened to be using it

It didn’t bother him that you just took it, after all he does trust you with all his equipment considering that you also did photography as a hobby and video editing as well

You were up in the attic when he found you doing a mukbang livestream

It’s called an attic but really it’s your own little secluded room that V had remodeled for you

It was a little private space for you to do video editing and pretty much anything

You actually didn’t go up there all that frequently because you enjoy being by V’s side rather than away from him

When V walked in, you were in the middle of eating Korean fried chicken. So of course your mouth was full and you were messy when he saw you

He noticed that you were live streaming as he saw the camera he was looking for and it was hooked up to your computer

“Oh my bad. I didn’t mean to bother you MC!”

Before he could leave, you grabbed him and sat him down next to you in another seat

The comments were flooding and they were asking if this was the guy you always talked about

They asked if he was your boyfriend but all you did was kiss him on the cheek to show your viewers the man you loved

“V, I never told you that I do these kinds of videos sometimes.”

Then you whisper in his ear, “I actually make money doing this”

You just didn’t want to rub it in your viewers faces that you make some decent money from mukbang

You pull away and ask him to get comfortable and interact with the viewers

He talks all about his occupation and he’s so distracted that he didn’t notice you left to get one of his cameras that had recent photos on it.

When you come back, you asked him if you could show them some of his photos

Seriously you wanted to brag all about V now

Of course not to be overbearing or anything.

He let you show them some of the photos after all

After the live stream ended, you checked your bank account once again and finally you reached the number you wanted so you smiled

You pull him out of his seat and downstairs giving him a moment to put on his shoes

“Come on, hurry up! I think the store is gonna close soon!”

V had no idea what you were trying to say but he quickly got ready and went to the car and you drove to this high end photography and camera shop

Once inside, you point at the one camera that’s been on display for so long because it’s legit the best camera in the store

“V, I’ve seen the way you look at this one. I know you want it”

Oh god V was so flattered and insisted that you shouldn’t buy it for him

Ignoring him, you asked the nearest salesperson if you could buy the camera

You had absolutely no regrets even if all your money in your side account was drained

V had absolutely no words

He couldn’t believe what you just bought him but he showered you in so many kisses

You tell him that it’s a belated anniversary present. You were saving up for it

Then he suggested getting some take out food and added

“From now on, can I join you in your mukbangs?”

Saeran:

Explaining what mukbang was turned out to be harder than you thought

Not to say he was dumb or anything of that sort, he just wasn’t up to date with all the trends

Because honestly he couldn’t care less about trends

So you settle on just showing him instead

He helped you make the food but after all that he still decided to only eat an ice cream cone

As you turned on the live stream, he sat in the far back behind you watching.

What was up with this kid???

He legit looked like a ghost in the back of the camera and people in the comments were actually asking if there’s a poltergeist in your house

You take this chance to poke at saeran and when you looked back you said you saw nothing even though saeran was there

Oh it bothered Saeran that you were messing with him like this

Then the chats started blowing up as you ate. The viewer commented with tips on how to get rid of a ghost

You looked back and continued to say

“Guys I don’t see a ghost!”

Finally, Saeran got up and got closer to the camera but you acted like he wasn’t there while everyone was just freaking out that your camera must be supernatural or something

Now that you got his attention, you took Saeran’s ice cream cone and ate it

The poor puppy face he made (>﹏

But you also pouted and that had him melting

“Saeran-ah, you haven’t eating all day! Just eat what I made and I’ll eat your ice cream. Deal!”

So he conceded and pulled up a chair and basically did the mukbang for you

Of course it was super awkward but you helped him out

Before ending the live steam you said

“And that’s how you live with a ghost as a boyfriend! Stick around and maybe in the future you’ll see more of my ghost here!”

With his pretty much blank face he literally just shoved some food in your mouth to get back at you. Of course he wasn’t aggressive when he did it

that had him chuckling deep inside

Then he told you

“I’ll join your Mukbangs. But not as a ghost”

You were surprised that he even said that he would accompany you

You never even mentioned or suggested that to him

But looks like he actually enjoyed it despite looking a little peeved

Then you returned the favor and shoved food into his mouth

Kirika Akatsuki: "The whole self-complimenting part is just like that other mad scientist..."

Dr. Ver: "Now let's keep going! I'll have you fight in a different form of yours!"

Chris Yukine: "A different form?"

Dr. Ver: "Yes, I'd like to gather different data on various Gear forms, so please use the form from when we first met."

Chris Yukine: "Well, I don't mind, I suppose."

Dr. Ver: "I'll have the simulator fire up another battle then!"

Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "We just fought like we usually do. Is that data you got really going to be useful?"

Chris Yukine: "Say, you know how this world has no wielders? What would have happened if we didn't show up?"

Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "The SDF would probably have fought the Noise to try and protect everyone. That's just how this world is."

Kirika Akatsuki: "But it's suicide to fight the Warrior Noise without a Gear!"

Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Yeah. We know that better than anybody, after fighting them ourselves."

Chris Yukine: "They have no choice but to fight, though..."

Kirika Akatsuki: "Once we gather all of the fragments and go home... What's going to happen to this world?"

Chris Yukine: "That has me worried too..."

i ended up ranting a couple recepies me and my family use.

kinda random, but something my family and i like to do when we make mac n cheese is add some extra stuff in it, usually stuff that makes it creamier, like butter and milk, and occasionally cream of chicken soup as well. I like to add pepper when i get myself a bowl of it (cause not everyone likes pepper in their mac n cheese.) sometimes i’ll add some onion powder and extra spices when i cook it.

And also a couple times recently, cause we’ve been getting spam a lot, i’ve been chopping that up and putting it in there. but i’ve literally only done it twice now (the first was baked in with it like a tuna casserole, but with spam instead), so i haven't discovered the perfect method of adding that in. i didn’t do anything special to it before putting it in the mac n cheese yesterday, but i considered frying it up a bit first, which i may do next time. i kinda liked it as it was though cause it was about the same texture as the noodles, but maybe frying it a bit will give it a bit more of a different flavor? idk. i’m not the best (or healthiest) cook in the world, so i dunno if any of y’all will think this is good or not. 

OH! AND WHILE I'M TALKING FOOD LEMME TELL Y’ALL ABOUT HAM RICE OKAY? Ya having a big meal with the family, and ya cooked ham? Like the big one that ya have leftovers of days later? well, it has a bunch of juice left over, what do you do with it? Well, my granny figured out something flippin amazing, and I dunno if anyone else has thought of this yet, so i’m gonna talk about it. 

Ya take i’d say maybe half to three parts of that stuff to water, and ya cook rice with it. it’s done the same way ya normally make rice, as long as ya know how to make it (it’s not hard, trust me. either that or i’m just a rice wizard cause everyone asks me to make it. i talk about how i make it later) and lemme tell ya, that shit is fuckin delicius. save it for special gatherings or holidays cause it’s probably super unhealthy, but man guys i needed to tell y’all about it cause it’s fuckin great ok?

Rice is pretty easy to make, even if you don’t have a rice cooker. First of all you need double the water to rice. so if you’re making one cup, you need two cups water. three cups of rice and ya need six cups water. it’s very simple. ya salt the water (add as much or as little as ya like unless you’re making ham rice like i mentioned earlier. don’t add salt to that. it’s already gonna be salty cause of the ham) and get that water boiling. get that burner on high to do that and wait a while. the more water there is the longer it takes.

Then, when the water’s boiling, pour in all that rice you measured out, cover the pot with a lid, Set it on a really low temperature so it can simmer (i usually put it on like 2 or 3 on my stove, but everyone’s stove is different, so you’ll have to adjust accordingly with experience) and walk away to let that simmer for 20 to 25 minutes ( I usually do 20) or until done. it’s done when the texture of it is what ya like out of rice, which is basically “soft, not cronchy, and tastes like rice” you don’t stir it until it’s done. leave it alone until it’s done, but ya should probably check it towards the end if you don’t have a lot of experience making rice, to make sure it doesn’t burn.

again, i dunno if i’m a rice wizard and i just know how to make good rice, cause honestly it’s one of the first things i ever learned how to cook, so i have a LOT of experience that comes naturally to me. but rice is a very easy thing to make, and goes well as a side to a lot of different recipes. pour gravy over it, serve stir fry over it or with it, just have it by itself with maybe some butter and hot sauce, if that’s your thing. have it plain if that’s what ya want. I mix in corn with it, cause i’m weird and i like corn. mom likes tomatoes in it. dad, well, he likes butter and hot sauce lol.

also, the kind of rice i use if i remember right is white rice, (i keep the rice in a container so i can’t double check the packaging) so it may differ with different kinds of rice. i think(?) whole grain rice needs to be cooked longer, if i remember right, but i haven't made whole grain rice in years, so don’t take my word for it.
