okay, yeah, so zeus appears right at the start of the musical and he tells odysseus—

—in relation to killing the child or letting the child grow up to kill his family, right. yes, that’s okay, we know that. but i think, that this is a sentiment that follows ody throughout the musical, choices that will always end in blood

so, right, even before zeus presents odysseus with this statement, it rings true. because before that odysseus is fighting in a war, which is the definition of “kill or be killed”, “choose whose blood you have on your hands, your enemies’ or your men’s”.

with the cyclops, he has to choose (although the doesn’t realise it in the moment). because if he’d killed the cyclops, if he’d spilled his blood, then poseidon would have spared his men. but he lets the cyclops live, so his fleet’s blood is spilled

and then with scylla, he has a choice. risk his own life or give up the lives of his men. he chooses to live with their blood on his hands, he chooses to live

and then of course zeus appears to him again, and he gives him another choice, makes him choose yet again if he or his men should die. the blood on his hands is something he never lose, all he can ever choose is whose

(there is one instance though where he manages to avoid any bloodshed, which is with circe. he could have killed her or been killed by her (or chose to leave his men and insure his own life was safe) but instead he manages to convince her to help. she lives, he lives, his men get out alive and whole. he didn’t have to choose either way, he made it out without bloodshed)

I thought about the Yuuniverse earlier today.

In a world where every Yuu comes together in their own little pocket dimension, there has most definitely been a party held for all the Yuu's that have been irreparably damaged in some way by the boys and have had to flee to the pocket dimension permanently.

What I'm getting at is all the Yuus have each other's back in the form of a twst boy themed anti-Blitzo party.

God I love the Yuuniverse

Imagine if some of the boys enter it and see potential future kids

Or the aus where Yuus their sibling

Would ruin them me thinks

Or maybe it's their birthday and they cant find Yuu but end up finding them in a small pocket dimension kinda pretending they're with their family idk...
