“So what’s it like living with a Hale?” Stiles asked, turning away from your locker after you shut it. Both of you fell into step with Scott as you made your way to your next class.
You must have grimaced or made some face with a slight slant of your eyebrows only a Stilinski could read, because Stiles let out a snort. “That bad?”
You shrugged, sighing. “I mean, it’s not like I expected it to be a walk in the park, it is Derek Hale after all.” Scott chuckled with a gentle shake of his head, making you smile before you continued. “But I didn’t expect it to be this…. easy….. either.”
“Easy?” Scott questioned, making the same face you must have initially as Stiles let out another snort of laughter.
“Yeah, I mean, the first few days were awkward. If we weren’t training we weren’t doing anything. The man is silent, had no TV, or any of that-”
“Wait, ‘had’?” Stiles held out his hand, effectively cutting off your sentence and your steps, your shoes screeching on the floor at the sudden stop.
“Yes, had. He now has a TV, streaming services- yes, Stiles, services as in plural, if you keep your eyebrows that high they may stick that way, and it’s not the best look for you…”
“So at least there is something to fill the silence at least.” Scott resumed walking, you followed a few steps behind, Stiles lagging, jaw still dropped in shock.
“Well, yeah,” you agreed with Scott, and this time you felt your eyebrows making the face.
“But….?” Scott’s prodding was gentle, but his face held a smirk.
“But somewhere along the way we went from off handed comments during a news broadcast, or some show we were watching, to actually pausing it to have some discussion, or referencing some situation later and asking if the other had had something similar happen, or just opening up about random experiences and stuff. It’s…”
“Weird?” This time Stiles prodded, earning a glare and gentle whack on the arm from Scott.
“Well, maybe it’s because you’re…. new.” Scott opted for a more discrete word for ‘werewolf’ in the crowded hallways. “He may feel like opening up more because of the pack mentality and all.”
“No, it’s not because she’s…. new.” Stiles raised one eyebrow on the word as he addressed Scott, earning a sigh and eye roll from the young Beta. “The man is a brooding wall of leather and growls.” You chuckled at the description, making Stiles grin. “I think we finally found our miracle cure for our Sourwolf!”
“Woah, woah, woah, hold up.” You held up your hands as if to physically stop their words. “What?”
“Oh, come on, Y/N. We know you two like each other. It’s so obvious.” Stiles immediately closed his mouth, his lips a tight line, eyes wide and eyebrows in his hairline in his signature “I was not supposed to say that” face.
“What?” you deadpanned to your friend.
The bell rang, and Scott, wide eyed and smiling too broadly, gave Stiles a shove on the shoulder in the opposite direction of your next class as Stiles muttered, “Oh, look. The bell.” They both began to walk quickly the opposite way.
“Guys!” you yelled. “This is not over! But I am not responsible for you guys missing another class, what does that make, like fifteen already this semester?”
Your two friends stilled and turned on their heels, ushering past you quickly, avoiding your glare, Stiles looking at Scott and muttering, “See, Scott? I told you our class with Miss Blake was this way.”
“Ugh,” you mumbled under your breath. The sour expression stayed on your face even after you sat at your desk in the back of the class.
Chuckling, Stiles chanced a glance your way from beside you, hoping to change the subject from his ultimate fail in the hallway. “You still don’t like her?”
“I still don’t like her.” You overlapped his last few words, matching his gentle nod with one of your own as you stared straight ahead at the teacher’s still vacant desk.
“What is it about her you don’t like?”
“I just have a really bad feeling whenever I see her. Something just isn’t right.”
Scott chuckled, opening his book to the proper page. “You’re just mad that she gives you a little bit of a harder time.”
“You mean she gives me ‘more attention’?” you asked, your words rising to a ridiculous octave as they repeated Jennifer’s words she had used when she assigned you some extra credit to help raise your grade so you could stay on the lacrosse team. Your friends chuckled at your words. “I’m sorry, not everyone can be amazing at everything, being a wer-” you stopped yourself, clearing your throat before continuing- “new-” you looked at Scott pointedly, earning you a glare and Stiles’ laughter on your other side- “doesn’t allow for a whole lot of extra studying time.”
“Oh, come on, Y/N. I know you feel that way now, but it will pass,” Scott said with a smile as Miss Blake walked in, setting things on her desk, and he chuckled as you glared at her. “This is all ephemeral.”
You looked at Stiles, your face blank, voice a deadpan. “You ever buy him a word of the day subscription thing again, and I will rip your throat out.” You flickered your yellow eyes at him discreetly. “With my teeth.”
“With your teeth,” Stiles mumbled, overlapping your words, both of you nodding in agreement again. “I asked what it’s like living with a Hale, and now I got my answer.” He looked at you, shaking his head mockingly. “You’re becoming one of them. It’s contagious. We’ll call it ‘Sourwolf Syndrome’.”

Due to your parents’ professions taking them all over the place constantly, like Allison, you were actually a year older than your friends, having to repeat a year a few grades back. But you wouldn’t change it for anything, because that’s how you met your best friends.
It helped that your parents were away on business most of the time, so no one questioned your staying at Derek’s loft for so long. You stopped by every few days to get the mail and check on the plants around the house, packing some new clothes if needed, Derek sitting outside in his car the first few times, but lately he had taken to coming in and helping you do the few things you had to do.
You told yourself it was just because of the increased threat that he wanted to be closer to his newest Beta. He didn’t have too many of those these days, you thought bitterly, smirking to yourself. You stared blankly as you rinsed out your coffee cup in the sink, and a wave of sadness washed over you as you thought of Erica, her absence still fresh and raw. The two of you had never really been close; just acquaintances at school, then pack members briefly, before she was gone.
Boyd had really withdrawn himself after that, and you didn’t blame him. You knew he probably felt how you did times ten. When Cora had been here briefly she mentioned losing a pack member was like losing a limb, and she hadn’t been wrong.
Then Derek had kicked both Cora and Isaac out of the loft, claiming it wasn’t safe with the Alpha Pack around. Isaac was staying with Scott, but you didn’t know where Cora had disappeared to. Peter was a wild card, so you didn’t even try to factor him in, and Scott outright refused to be a member of Derek’s pack. He was an Alpha with Beta eyes, and an enigma for another time.
The point was, Derek was running low in the Beta department lately.
The only reason Derek had you staying at the loft and followed you around the house when you had to go was because you were the newest, or so he said. Deep down you knew he just didn’t want to be responsible if something happened to you. He wanted to control the situation as much as possible which, you guessed, you were kind of glad, being new to this whole werewolf thing, and admittedly not wanting to stay home alone again, human or werewolf.
At least at the loft, even in the times before Derek brought home the TV and stuff, the silence had been comfortable. You’d never admit it to anyone, but just being in the presence of another living, breathing being, even one as brooding and somewhat annoying as Derek Hale, was nice.
And you sure as hell weren’t going to think about how he had helped you with your homework sometimes, especially with that English extra credit. He had a side he didn’t share often, and you were glad you got to see it. It was like a rare spotting of a mythological creature.
You smiled to yourself, watching the water in the cup filling clear now, the mug long clean, and you let your feelings wash away down the drain with the water as you turned it off.
Setting the mug in the sink, you took a deep breath, letting the feelings whirling around you fully roll off your back, rolling your shoulders back as they did.
Stepping into the doorway to the living room you saw him delicately watering some houseplant your mom babied. The first few times he had just poured water at its base, and you had to stop him, showing him how it had to be done, otherwise he’d over water it. And since then, though he had said initially that it was stupid under his breath, he took meticulous care to check if it even needed watering, and then watered it properly, like you showed him, even bringing books home to the loft about how to care for the various types of plants your mom had around the house. You found it endearing.
Smiling softly, you gently shook your head. One second you were bitter towards him, the next finding little things that made him amazing. “I’m going to go grab some clothes, my stuff got torn to hell last week when we dealt with what’s his face,” you said offhandedly, starting up the stairs. So many baddies came through this town, you got them all confused.
Derek chuckled. “Okay. You know you can always borrow some of my clothes if you need to.”
You stopped midstep on the staircase, each foot on a different step, and your grip on the bannister tightened, your knuckles turning white.
This.
This is why you had such conflicting emotions about this man. Wolf. Wolfman.
“Are you sure?” You kept your voice even, smiling softly.
He shrugged. “Yeah, I mean, makes more sense then driving all the way over here.” His voice tried to be neutral, but it was evident he was trying to cover up something he had let slip before really thinking about it.
“Thanks. I’ll remember that next time.” You nodded once to each other before you took two steps calmly and then practically ran up the rest of them to your room.
Holding a hand to your chest, taking deep breaths to try and stabilize your heartbeat, you slumped against the door after you closed it, sighing.
You tried not to over analyze what he said, but failed.
You knew he probably was making some underhanded comment about your abilities, “coming all the way over here”, really he wanted to say, “you suck at being a werewolf, you’re always getting hurt and your clothes destroyed in the process”.
“You too, wolfman. You too,” you mumbled under your breath as you angrily rifled through one of your drawers, grabbing a few things.
You chuckled a dark laugh. “But I’m an Alpha, Y/N. I’ll heal faster.” You mocked his deep tone, your search in your drawer turning into an aimless activity, the contents totally mixed up now.
He had never been around whenever you had gotten in a hit or takedown on the baddies you guys had encountered so far in your short time in this world. For some reasons you ended up on opposite sides of the battle fields, and he never said it directly, but you knew he probably thought you sucked. How else does one end up with torn shirts from claw marks and blood being covered by your jacket?
Everyone else had called you a badass, but Derek had yet to compliment or even comment on your fighting ability. But maybe, since he trained you, that spoke more to his ability and not yours, you thought with a smirk. Satisfied with the thought, you grabbed a few clothes out of the drawer before snapping it shut.
After a few steps toward the door, you slowed to a stop, absently staring at the clothes in your hand as your thoughts cleared a little from your earlier anger.
If it was a reflection on how he thought he was, that was kind of sad. Did he really think so lowly of himself and his abilities?
You had only been in this world a short time now, but even you had to admit he was a good Alpha. A good wolfm- werewolf. A good man. He was a great person to have at your back in a fight and in mundane things like math, which was also a fight, but that was a thought for another day. He was a good friend to have, period.
Shaking your head and chuckling gently at yourself, you wondered why your thoughts were everywhere. Glancing at your calendar on the wall, you saw the full moon was coming up soon and rolled your eyes. Of course.
This would pass. This was ephemeral. You groaned softly as you made your way back down the stairs. Stiles was going to pay.
Derek met your eyes when you made it to the last step, hopping the last few inches to the first floor. He set down the watering can softly.
“Do I really sound like that?” His lips twitched upward slightly.
Screwing up your face in confusion it took you a second to realize he had heard your mutterings as you disorganized the contents of your drawer upstairs. Realization crossed your face before your palm slapped to your forehead, the groan passing your lips before you could stop it.
Derek laughed, and you looked at him apologetically, to which he motioned with his hand as if waving it away and smiled at the floor where his gaze was focused. “Don’t worry about it. I just always thought my voice was deeper than that.”
He chuckled even more as you swatted his arm, laughing gently yourself. He grabbed your wrist playfully before you could withdraw your hand, and you found yourself pulled closer to him, almost toe to toe and having to crane your neck to look up and meet his eyes that looked down at you with some emotion you couldn’t decipher.
That comfortable silence hung around you two like a blanket… Until his phone rang.
As he fished it out of his pocket, you softly cleared your throat and took a small step back, feeling Derek’s gaze on you the whole time.
“Hello?” His voice was gruff and annoyed, and he was still staring at you. It almost seemed like he was upset at whoever was on the other end for interrupting his moment with you.
But that thought quickly evaporated.
“Jennifer!” He said it with a broad smile on his face, his voice a total about face from his greeting, and his eyes moving from you to the wall behind you.
It couldn’t be who you thought. There was no way. That would be too much of a coincidence.
“No, I’m not busy,” he said, turning to the door.
Grabbing his arm to stop him, he turned to look at you, eyebrows raised in question and, if you weren’t mistaken, slight annoyance.
“What?” he mouthed.
“Who is that?” you whispered.
“A friend,” he hissed.
“Who is it?” you hissed back at him.
“Your English teacher, Jennifer Blake.” He shrugged out of your grip and out your front door, motioning you to the car.
You seethed as you turned off the lights, grabbing your bag of clothes, and locking the door after you.
Reason number five hundred and sixty two to hate Miss Jennifer Blake.

alright i watched the whole third season of House of Anubis
I first have to say how much I enjoyed the leads: Eddie and KT. They have such a good chemistry and they’re honestly hilarious together. As I mentioned before, I did ship them together when I was younger and first watched the show but with watching it again, I would keep them as friends. Best friends. (especially since KT is hella gay I don’t care what anyone says) They totally give me Cloak and Dagger vibes, especially in terms of partnership. At the start of the show, they were alone, they had no one to confide in, no one to be with, Eddie was torn about letting Sibuna know about Nina, still not over Patricia. KT just lost her grandfather and came to England on a quest with some key and vague warnings, she was hella confused but still did so out of loyalty to her grandfather (this baby is too precious and good for this world, i swear). And next thing you know, fate and Osirian visions bring them together. They form a partnership, they snoop around the Gatehouse, they form a bond. And I love it so much. What I love especially, is that at the end, when the sinners are everywhere and even the Sibuna members are taken as sinners, it’s down to Eddie and KT, just like the beginning. Sure, they get help from Willow and Harriet, but they lose Willow pretty quickly, and right at the end, Harriet sacrifices herself so they can get the other key and lock away the evil for good. And together, Eddie and KT join the keys and lock the evil as one. They started together, and they ended it together, and I think that was really poetic. I know that the Osirian and the Chosen One are meant to be the pair and the Ying & Yang, but in this particular case, Eddie and KT were a bond formed by friendship and hardship rather than destinies planned or written in the stars by the gods, yes fate brought them together, but only because they knew they could only accomplish their tasks with each other. I especially loved when they took down Ammut, and Robert tried a last ditch attempt to get KT to feel guilty over doing this, telling her that he would die if Ammut was locked away. It brings in KT’s loyalty to her family, even when it’s bad, but then Eddie yells during the commotion, “Don’t trust him, trust me!” And I think it really brings a full circle what a great partnership and bond they have.
Other than that, it’s really just random stuff I liked
i liked that Willow could sense bad vibes that Robert had whenever he was around Anubis House, as well as sensing the bad vibes that sinner!Victor and sinner!Patricia gave off. I kinda wished they could’ve looked more into that. Like she was naturally sensitive to these things or something.
Her relationship with Alfie was a nice touch, seeing him with someone who liked the same things that he did was real cute. Especially seeing them happy.
Victor and Sweet playing that card game gave me life.
Joy’s new attitude and look were certainly appreciated
While I preferred the Jerome that developed in S2 and won Mara over (especially over the course of the first season and second, i mean talk about a slow burn done right) and rather he didn’t cheat on her and Willow, the Joy+Jerome ship wasn’t terrible. I much prefer the developed S2 Jerome, I’ve said this twice now, but again, it wasn’t terrible. (but real talk? KT and Joy should’ve happened)
Amber being the one to bring Sibuna and the pair Eddie & KT together because *Amber Millington voice* “Hello people! Isn’t it obvious? Work together.”
Like that girl knew what was up. Well, she did invent Sibuna, not surprised.
Alfie was perfection this season, leave him be. Also, highlights of him:
“Crypts are for dead people!” “I’m afraid of everything.” “Guys, go! Get out of here! Sibuna! SIBUNNAAA!!”
I already talked plenty of Eddie and KT being the best, so yeah. But imma do it again anyway.
I have a theory that Eddie focused his primary Osirian instinct of being protective over the Chosen One to being protective over KT. Like he reffocused his powers to someone else for the time being. Nina wasn’t there, and when KT showed up in his vision it was almost like the house was telling him “You need to help her now. Keep her safe.” And I really like that.
It was especially shone a lot through out the season, and the last episodes too.
When sinner!Patricia and sinner!Fabian had KT and wanted to exchange an artifact that Eddie had discovered, she told him to run and get away, like they did when Alfie told them to leave him behind. And he says, “That was Alfie, this is you.”
And when Eddie, KT, Willow and Harriet went to get the sun key from Caroline, and she managed to take KT and Willow and turn them into sinners, Eddie says, “Not KT,” very worriedly. Later on he’s hard on himself, “I can’t believe they got to KT.”
It was interesting that half the season was awakening the man in the tank and the other half was releasing evil into the world. Like a different feel for half the season, not many shows do that.
I kinda despise the fact that the things I didn’t like are probably going to be longer.
Let’s go paragraph first so, how about that plot? First off, the whole thing is very weird for Sibuna. The first two seasons were about riddles and thinking things through. They were real mysteries. In this, it was more direct, they had an obvious problem, they had to stop the bad guys from waking up a bad guy, and then literal evil converted their own friends against each other. It sounds super interesting for a Vampire Diaries or Teen Wolf or even My Babysitter’s A Vampire plot line (or just one episode) since those shows were more active based. This season barely had any hidden things or riddles, and half of it had Sibuna paranoid and working against each other which I’m sure no one really loved. Not to mention that the action mainly happened at the Gatehouse rather than the actual Anubis House, the center for two of the last mysteries. Now I know, I know, the new season couldn’t just be a copy, and having a third mystery with hidden compartments over the house would certainly be a lot for Robert and Louisa. But I mean, didn’t Het Huis Anubis have four seasons? They couldn’t just do their version of that? I’m guessing that they did something different (I really hope so, because if not, this is embarrassing)
things i did not like at all about this season
the fact that they twisted Mara’s character up in their new ‘messed up girl obsessed with a boy’ like Joy in S2. just- why?
the fact that they undid a bunch of Jerome’s development.
or how about the fact that all Jerome got to do this season was be part of a love triangle cheat fest and then a love drama with Joy. In S1 he shoved himself into Sibuna and Rufus and it was bad for him, but he was involved. And S2, he was just amazing, they managed to connect his family and his family troubles with something that Sibuna would’ve needed for the Mask of Anubis: the Frobisher Gem. It all came together perfectly.
we didn’t get anything of Mr. Sweet telling Eddie about his Osirian thing or their family history.
The way they treated KT when they thought she was evil. It was so messed up, honestly, that poor baby. (though I did appreciate that the other residents noticed, like at breakfast when she sat down and no one looked at her, and he said, “Good morning, KT.” and he just noticed something was wrong. And then Joy and Mara noticed. I just really feel like that was the moment where Jerome and Joy coulda been more involved with Sibuna again- wait what am I saying)
No, when they and Patricia and Alfie were at the Gatehouse and they tried to warn them about the ceremony is when JOY AND JEROME SHOULDA GOTTEN INVOLVED IN SIBUNA AGAIN. Or like, at least be more aware, I mean come on?? Joy, you’re better than this. And Jerome, you’ve seen enough weird stuff to know when it’s Sibuna-related and usually that means deadly-related so you’re whole having two girlfriends thing can wait for a while.
Caroline Denby sucked. (And Caroline Forbes from TVD is a fan favorite of mine and not to mention that MY NAME IS CAROLINE so imagine that).
the fact that we got rid of the real Victor was kinda just wrong for me. I mean, Victor has always been a pain in the ass with the kids, and he’s usually wanted what they were after as well but he’d never resort to murder or anything like that, so when he got turned into a sinner and lost his friggin soul (yes, they said that, this is true) we truly lost Victor and I didn’t like that at all.
Season 1 was all about a mystery but also partly conspiracy, there was a moment between all five of Sibuna where they got proof and realistic statements after Joy lied to them (at the insistence of her dad) they were starting to think that the mystery wasn’t real and almost backed out of the search. Remember? Nina said, “You guys aren’t giving up on me, right?” Anyway, that was that. It was all about finding more information about what really happened and what’s really going on. About finding answers.
Season 2 was darker, it was a race against time because unlike the mystery of the first season, this one was more about saving themselves. Nina’s life and her friends and Gran would’ve died, it’s a great motivator to go through the tunnels. And there were moments where we see just how serious this is, there’s one shot where Nina is in a dream sequence in the house and all her friends are running away from her, terrified. And even when Victor sees her, he backs away in fear and hides himself in his office and then in the mirror it’s revealed Nina’s dressed and appears as Senkhara. And then when Senkhara freezes Vera, Victor knows it’s time to back away, he’s scared, he’s worried, so we see him do what he has to do to get Vera back. And when he’s playing the game? With Sibuna as his game pieces on the huge board? When Alfie disappeared, he backed out, he knew when to stop and almost considered calling Mr. Sweet to do something about it.
Meanwhile, Season 3 was all dark evil stuff, run for your life or your literal soul will be taken. It’s the end of the world if they awaken this sleeping dude, we need heroes to stop the bad team. Oh no, he’s awake, now he’s going to unleash hell and evil and it’s the end of the world, only now everyone’s converted to the evil and it’s real bad, we need heroes desperately.
This season might’ve been more dark or good vs. evil type of thing but it just didn’t feel right for HOA. The show has always been subtle, it’s quiet and the kids solve the mystery and they do everything very hushed and private, this season sort of felt like WHOAH PIE IN YOUR FACE GUESS WHAT IM A SIBUNA what with turning the whole school into sinners, I just didn’t like the whole school being this active. but that’s me personally.
Robert Frobisher-Smythe being the one in the tank is ridiculous considering wE SAW HIS FRIGGIN GHOST AT THE END OF S1. And honestly, bringing him in and saying that he’s going to bring forth a darkness to make people evil and bring the apocalypse is just a really bland plot. It’s no mystery, it’s legit good guys vs. a villain. It’s a ‘save the world’ plot, yeah like we’ve never seen that before.
We love the mystery, where was it? oh right, nowhere.
When the four descendants of Robert’s expedition party were revealed: Patricia, Joy, Alfie and Jerome, there could have so much content.
The four of them speaking in unison while they sleep should’ve been used more.
Remember the childhood lullabies they were supposed to use to find a random artifact? Those lullabies were riddles and other than that cylinder that KT opened using her synesthesia, it was the only thing that made it feel like good old days of House of Anubis.
again, making Robert the man in the tank and then evil was just stupid. im not gonna approach the fact that he took the punishment meant for his expedition party and that’s why he’s cursed, and now he’s evil? oh gods
again, seeing the three OG Sibuna gang members evil and not on Sibuna kept killing me.
that ending bugged me
like oh no! everyone’s gone insane, we gotta shut this thing down before it devours more souls. TWO HOURS LATER and now it’s time to enjoy fireworks and Fabian and Mara and flirting and its so unnecessary, whyy??
Leave Mara with Jerome (in which he didnt cheat) and Willow is happy with Alfie and KT and Joy are out there being gay as hell. Those are the ships that shoulda happened.
Honestly, when I think back at S2 and Amber and Nina are there, it just brings back such good vibes. S2 really is the best season, but I stand by my love for Eddie and KT. Friendship goals AF. Like I said before, the third season was in your face, it was loud and it was telling everyone ‘end of the world’ and when you think about it, it’s perfect for the characters they introduced. S1 and S2 fit so well for Nina, because she’s like that, she’s quiet yet badass and is about riddles and mysteries. Meanwhile, Eddie is loud and wants to get this over with, LET’S BREAK INTO OUR TEACHER’S HOUSE BECAUSE I HAVE A HUNCH. YOU WANNA SEE THE SLEEPING MAN’S FACE, FABIAN? LET’S REMOVE THE GLASS. LET’S STEAL THE TANK WITH THE SLEEPING MAN IN BROAD DAYLIGHT.  LET ME JUST BARGE INTO VICTOR’S OFFICE TO TAKE YOUR KEY BACK, KT. LET’S DO WHATEVER IMPORTANT TASK OR MISSION WE NEED HAVE TONIGHT. LET ME BANG AGAINST PIPES AND BRICKS REALLY LOUDLY. And let me tell you, it just makes me laugh how into it he gets, like “why not?” it’s just so funny for some reason. Anyway, I think they decided to make this season fit what they wanted Eddie to be and that’s what they did. I loved Eddie’s performance, I loved him so much, I loved KT more. But I just didn’t love this season.

Studying gone wrong
Author: @lettersofwrittencollective Pairing: Isaac Lahey x Reader
Word Count: 1295
Warnings: None
Prompt: This request may seem kind of odd, but I'm sending it in anyway. It's a one-shot taking place in an alternate universe where everyone's human and there's no supernatural creatures in Beacon Hills or anywhere else in the world. It has nothing to do with the show’s plot. It's a Scooby-Doo AU one-shot. For that reason, the characters will probably be a little out of character. The pairing is Isaac/female reader. There are no other pairings. The reader and Isaac are dating. The relationships between Isaac, the reader, and the other characters are purely platonic. They're friends. Isaac, the reader, Lydia, Scott, and Stiles are the members of Mystery Incorporated, a group of famous detectives who solve mysteries and unmask fake monsters. Isaac is basically the Fred of the one-shot. He's the leader and trap maker. The reader is basically the Daphne of the one-shot. She's the danger prone damsel in distress. Lydia is basically the Velma of the one-shot. She's the genius who deciphers the clues. Scott is basically the Shaggy of the one-shot. He's a food obsessed coward. He serves as bait for Isaac's traps along with Stiles, his best friend. Stiles is basically the human version of Scooby. He's a cowardly but loveable goofball. He's the comic relief. The characters drive around in the Mystery Machine (the same van Fred drives in the Scooby-Doo cartoons). The van belongs to Isaac. He refuses to let anyone else drive it. The characters are teenagers. They live in the town of Beacon Hills, California and are students at Beacon Hills High School. Could you include a scene of them at the school doing homework or something like that at some point? I'd like everyone to know that they're high school students. Could you also include a cute fluffy scene of the reader and Isaac alone together and on a date? I don't want the one-shot to be just about the characters solving mysteries. I feel that could get repetitive. Know what I mean? There's no drinking or drug use or anything like that in the one-shot. The characters don't go to a party at in any point in the one-shot. Parties aren't mentioned in the one-shot. Swearing is allowed, and kissing is allowed, but please no smut.
A/N: Ok full disclaimer, I don’t even remember the last time that I actually watched Scooby Doo.  Anyways thank you so much to @biles-bilinski-24 for sending this over to me and allowing me to give this challenge a shot.  Let me know what you think!

You’re not sure what to think about the fact Isaac had convinced the whole gang to get together for a study group. It seems like, lately, that’s all that you do. Sure, the SAT’s are coming up and everyone wants to get into a good college, but does that mean you have to spend every single free moment studying?
You’re annoyed that the gang agreed to it, though you are not surprised. So here you are, sitting at Lydia’s house and everyone’s working through some subject or another. You, personally, are trying to work on math. Lydia has made it her mission to help you with this and is going over notes with you to try and teach you.
Isaac was working with Scott and Stiles when, suddenly, you heard Stiles gasp.
The whole gang turns to Stiles and he’s white as a sheet, staring at his phone.
“Stiles?”
“Like - what happened man?”
Stiles merely shakes his head and stares at his phone. Isaac makes his way over to Stiles and slowly takes the phone from his hand. Stiles doesn’t react, seemingly in shock.
Looking at the phone he had just taken from Stiles, Isaac’s face furrowed in confusion before he suddenly lit up.
Crap.
“Guys, we’ve got a case to solve!”
Stiles and Scott both let out a groan while you clapped your hands and Lydia sighed, gathering the books and papers on her table to put away.
The group spent some time arguing back and forth in regards to actually doing anything about the text that Stiles’ dad had sent. Apparently, the bank managers at Beacon Hills First National Bank had come in this morning to discover that the they had been robbed. After reviewing the security tapes, the Sheriff had discovered that some kind of masked monster was caught on video, robbing the place.
The Sheriff wasn’t too happy in asking your friends for help but you had helped solved multiple crimes before and so he thought that you may be interested in helping out with this one as well.
Scott and Stiles, as usual, did not want to get involved with whatever it was that was going on. Isaac, of course, convinced them that it was best to help out. Though it wasn’t very difficult once he promised them food in order to get what he wanted done.
Though, it was agreed that you would wait for the cops to finish their preliminary search before going out to actually check it out. Pizzas are ordered and everyone forgets their studying as they discuss what it is that can be done to capture this bad guy.
Isaac has decided to set up a trap for the man and now he and Lydia were trying to figure out the best way to set this up. Stiles and Scott are devouring the pizzas and whatever other food is in Lydia's house.  You, you’re trying to figure out the best way to help. You hate to admit it but usually, you get caught in one of Isaac's traps and you don’t want that to happen this time.
Later that night, the group of you make your way to the bank. Isaac tells you all the plan and you each make your way to different areas of the bank. Scott and Stiles stick with Lydia as the two of them are shaking in their boots and Lydia is their “support.” You go with Isaac towards the back vault.
Coming to a door, Isaac opens it and you both head inside.
“Isaac, isn’t this where they usually check in all the people trying to get in to the vaults?”
“Hey, you’re right. That’s exactly what this room is.” Isaac walks to the desk closest to the two of you and is searching for something when suddenly, the sound of a piano being played comes over the PA system. Sharing a confused look, the both of you make your way back to the entrance hall where you run into Scott, Stiles and Lydia.
“Like.. does anyone know where that sounds coming from?” Scott asks as his eyes are darting around the room, trying to find a source. Stiles is shaking his head and looks like he wants to bolt out of the room.
The gang turns and sees a person who’s bald with pointed ears. The mouth looks like it has been sewn shut and their eyes are a bright, piercing white. Their skin is almost transparent, the blue of their veins obvious against their skin. Their clothing is torn and it looks like one of their legs is covered in blood.
You all turn to look at each other and then the group scatters in different directions.  You went to follow Isaac but Lydia pulled you and you ran with her. The two of you made your way outside but didn’t see the boys or the van before the ugly creature was following you. An angry shriek left it’s lip and you looked at Lydia who looked at you. The two of you decided to run in opposite directions.
You ran around the building and found a service entrance that was unlocked. Pulling the door open, you ran into the building but found yourself in ropes suddenly.  Freaking out, you started to struggle against the ropes and did not notice as they got tighter until you could barely move.
“Y/N!’ you heard Isaac yell. Turning your head, you saw him running toward you through the door at the other end. You whimpered slightly and when he reached you, it took him a moment but he was able to quickly get you out of of the ropes.\
“Did I mess up the trap?”
He smiled at you before kissing your forehead. “There’s a second one. Don’t worry about it.”
You blushed because that meant you had messed up this one and hoped that the creep would get caught in the second trap. Isaac led you further into the building and you heard a loud cheering that sounded a lot like Stiles and Scott. Giving Isaac a look of confusion, the two of you made your ways to the opposite side of the building.
The two of you came into a room and saw that the masked creep was wrapped up in some ropes, much the same way you had been. Scott and Stiles were congratulating each other and Lydia was studying the man.
“Wait a minute!” she said and walked up the man, pulling off his mask.
“Jackson!”
The lacrosse player merely glared at you and your friends. He looked like he really wanted to be upset with where he was. Not that you could blame him, if you’d been caught robbing a bank you would probably be upset as well.
“But - like- why are you robbing a bank?” Isaac asked, confusion evident in his voice.
Lydia was the one that answered. Apparently, some of the investments that Jackson’s parents had made backfired and they were now basically broke. So Jackson was trying to find a way to make sure that they had at least some kind of money.
After the police came, the whole gang headed back to Lydia's house. Deciding to let the night be a bit less stressful, everyone decided on having a movie night. Scott and Stiles made a run to the store for more snacks, because of course. Meanwhile, you, Isaac, and Lydia helped her rearrange the living room so that everyone could sprawl out in their favorite ways.
When the boys got back from the store, you all settled down to watch Avatar. Isaac pulled you onto the couch with him and wrapped an arm around your shoulder. Resting your head on his shoulder, you watched the cartoon with your friends.

Welcome to another profile on Behind the Screens, giving you personal insight on who your favorite artists are and what they do when they aren’t wowing you with their creative ability.
This week, we have the pleasure of learning more about Kristina, also know in our circle as Thiamlife. The author of Rivals AU, Anchors, and numerous prompts, she loops us in on her life as a trainer, her writing persona, and her tips for writing angst.
Kristina! To start us off, tell us something about yourself. The catch: use a sentence, where the word count is either equal to or less than the number of letters in you two favorite Teen Wolf character’s name.
Theo Raeken + Malia Tate = 19: I’m Sporty Spice but can act like Baby Spice, want to be Posh Spice but badass like Scary Spice.
Before the era of Teen Wolf, we found love and OTPs in other shows. What would you say were your first ships, think way back?
Oh lord, um, probably Marissa and Ryan from the O.C., but I also loved the Buffy/Spike/Angel situation.
And, how did you land in the Thiam Family? What about Theo x Liam drew you in?
Honestly, I just stumbled upon it. But it was one of those things where you see it and then it just clicks… like “Where have you been my whole life?” I wasn’t caught up when I saw the first Thiam related thing on my dash and was like hmm interesting and then when I was catching up the whole time I found myself desperately looking for all the subtle Thiam things.
I know we were made to hate Theo, but for some reason I just couldn’t and when I noticed that Liam didn’t either I was completely smitten. I just love how their love never was nor ever will be easy (blame the angst queen that lives inside me). They have to constantly fight and struggle to be with each other. But at the same time it was so blatantly obvious and simple for them to rely on each other even though they may not have realized it. I also just love how protective Theo was over Liam.
If you could build the ultimate paintball/laser tag team from any five characters on Teen Wolf, who would they be and why?
Malia cause she’s a straight badass and I love her. Theo because he likes strategy and has a serious sense of self preservation that would come in handy if the rest of us got taken out. Brett ‘cause damn, that boy is athletic. Corey because he could make us all invisible. And the fifth spot would be a wildcard choice between Chris, Derek, and Deucalion. All three of them bring something to the table and are valuable.
I’m definitely picking up the Sporty Spice feels, for sure! Together, your and Ashlee’s (AJP_37) teams would be an unstoppable force. Let’s shift into your writing. If your writing process was a person, describe him or her? What do they do? Wear? Listen to?
She is unsuspecting. A relatively plain and humble girl, but has a spice about her. It’s in her walk and the way she does her makeup. She loves leggings, off the shoulder sweaters, and having her hair tied up in a messy bun. She likes to listen to edm when she’s feeling light and free, Beyonce when she’s feeling badass, The Neighbourhood and Sam Smith when she wants to chill, and country on warm summer days. She’s a sucker for innuendos and teasing. She’s a gemini in the truest form and has many facets to her personality, but thrives in drama/angst. She’s fiercely loyal and it is extremely easy to make her jealous but she won’t show it unless cornered. She’s always ready to go big but wouldn’t mind going home either.
And your writing Kryptonite? How do you fight it?
My Kryptonite is honestly myself. There are always at least three different directions brewing in my mind in which to take my stories or chapters. Trying to pick one is so difficult and often deters me from completing things. I also am extremely critical of the flow of a piece of work. Sometimes it’s really hard for me to publish things because I know that it could be better but I don’t know how to take it there or don’t want to get rid of I have already written. When I feel like that I read over it a couple times and try to make all the adjustments I can before telling myself that this is how the characters in my head wanted it to happen if I was able to write a whole chapter about it. (Yes the characters in my head dictate where the story goes lol) I also go back and read everyone’s comments just to remind myself that people actually like the story so the new chapter can’t be that much different in terms of audience acceptance.
Do you write novels or short stories with original characters, as well? If so, share one you’re particularly passionate about.
I do. Although, I haven’t been paying it much attention since I got sucked into the Thiam fandom… whoops. It’s a romance novel about a girl that gets screwed over by her mom and doesn’t want help from anyone in fear that she’ll just be left in the same position. But a man from her past just won’t seem to take no for answer and refuses to let her continue in her struggle. The first chapter is on my Ao3, funnily enough it’s called Wolves and was titled that before I even began to write fanfics.
Characters often find themselves in situations they aren’t sure they can get themselves out of. When was the last time you found yourself in situation like that and what did you do?
I’m actually working on this at the moment. It happens far too frequently to just pinpoint one time… divorced parents that act like children are super fun in case anyone was wondering. Up until recently, I found myself being the tug of war rope between them and don’t know how to say no which ended up with me doing a bunch of things I couldn’t get myself out of. Can now happily announce that I have separated myself from that and hope to avoid those kinds of situations as much as possible from here on out. :) Sorry if that was too personal…
In addition to your prompts and other stories, you’re currently writing two chaptered works. We’d love to learn more about those and your process for bringing them to life. For anyone unfamiliar, can you give us a quick summary of both Rivals AU and Anchors?
Anchors: Liam Dunbar has had enough of being out of control. So he decides to shut his wolf off for awhile… the only problem is it could end up getting him killed. Theo Raeken had never been good with feelings. But he can’t fathom the idea of losing the little beta. So he makes it his personal mission to help Liam find his way back to the supernatural. Lines will be crossed and there may be no coming back from it. Its angsty and the end will have a twist you didn’t see coming.
Rivals: But rivaling teams AU though… Like, they don’t even play the same sports, but both teams don’t take the other really serious and they constantly prank each other and make fun of each other. Theo, captain of the Football team, and Liam, captain of the Lacrosse team, and they both claim they can’t stand each other and it would be all so easy if it weren’t for the fact that both find their counterpart more than just attractive and maybe one of their screaming matches on the field ends with them furiously making out under the shower after everybody else is gone. And maybe it becomes a regular occurrence from then on; first, they fight and bicker and then they make out. And maybe it’s getting harder and harder to pretend they hate each other’s guts because there is far more between them than just attraction. Oh, well, nobody has to know, right? Idea from formerprincess on tumblr. Okay this one is SUPER angsty, like beware.
What inspired you to write both?
Anchors kinda of just popped in my head one day. After Thiamweek and writing drabbles I decided I wanted to try writing a longer story. I fell out of love with it after being accused of plagiarism and honestly almost didn’t continue writing it. But decided that I would just change the end to reflect how the whole thing made me feel.
I saw the Rivals prompt on tumblr and was praying that someone would write it because it sounded sooooo good. The more I thought about it the more ideas I came up with until it got to the point where I was like no! I hope someone hasn’t already started writing it because I would love to take a whack at it. I hope everyone is enjoying what I’ve done with it! (P.S. sorry it has gotten a little dark, that was like rock bottom for both of them and now the only way to go is up :D)
Any scenes, specifically, inspired by your personal life?
Yes, actually. There’s a couple things in Rivals that were inspired by my personal life, mainly a few of the pranks that have been/will be pulled but there are a few other things in there, as well. And as I mentioned above, Anchors will kind of touch on how it felt to be torn down by someone but built back up by the most wonderful people.
They each include a fair amount of angst, what are some ways you get into the headspace to write angst? Do you have any tips for writers who’d like to improve those skills?
Hmmm. Angst is just something that comes naturally to me I guess. I love the way it makes you feel, like you have to stop but yet you keep going because you need to know what happens. It's like when you try to see how long you can hold your breath under water, those last few seconds burn and you know you should come up for air but you want to see if you can actually make it just a couple more. When I sit down to write something angsty I really just try to put myself in the character’s place and describe how I would be feeling but I make sure to tack on aspects from their character. For example, if Liam were to be sitting in the hospital with Theo, I would be freaking out and sad so I write that for Liam but add hints of anger and self-doubt.
So I would definitely suggest placing yourself in the situation and writing how you would react and then think of it from your character’s pov. I also like to write all my angsty scenes at night… it's weird but the darkness and less busy/loud city really help to put me in a ominous mindset. Also, use as many descriptive words as possible!!! Setting the scene for angst is, in my opinion, more important than the actual dialogue. Dialogue can be inserted anywhere but how it’s read or perceived depends on the mood you set for it.
Ok, that is amazing advice! Can we do a practice demonstration? How would you set the scene that use dialogue like, “Whenever you decide you can stand talking to me again, don’t.”
Depends on who’s pov it is. If the character is the one saying that then obviously they are a little angry/hurt. So the words “harshly” “through clenched teeth” “growls” “glared” would be really useful. But also internalizing the feeling. So like “He pushed out through clenched teeth. The words tasted like bitter venom in his mouth. He didn’t care how the boy across from him flinched upon hearing them, he only cared that he had allowed himself to be cut this deeply. He let his shoulders tense as he spun away from him and stalked off angrily to go lick his wounds somewhere else. The cold from the dingy warehouse finally breaking through his supernatural warmth and settling in his bones.” When I’m angry, I’m usually more angry at the fact that I allowed myself to be hurt/affected rather than the actual thing that happened or was said. So that’s how I would spin it if the character was the one saying it. Painting a picture as to why he reacted that way and making sure the reader can picture the look on his face and make them physically tense their own body in response to the words above.
If the character was on the receiving end of those words, I would convey the hurt/’oh fuck’ emotions. This one would be more internalized than the one saying it, so more of a mental reaction is needed here. Again, I put myself in the situation and visualize what I would do/what would be going through my head if I were to have that said to me. Here’s what I came up with: “He recoiled as if he had been backhanded. He didn’t mean to push the chimera that far. This all started out as a silly game but it had quickly morphed into something the both of them weren’t ready for. And now he stood there, frozen in place, and watched as the one person he truly cared about, his anchor, walked away from him in disgust. The room was darker without him, it was colder. Liam shuddered at the raw feelings slamming in to him and at tone of voice Theo had used with him. He hadn’t spoken to him like that since before he was pulled down to hell, Liam almost forgot who the old Theo was… and now he had just brought him back. His face dropped and a pained noise escaped his throat; What had he done?”
That’s just an angsty version though. It could also be placed in a humorous way. As a joke between Stiles and Theo. Again, set the scene… paint a picture for the readers with descriptive words:
Stiles mumbled under his breath for the fifth time while walking next to him. Theo couldn’t help but smile as they walked through the colorful preserve foliage on this bright autumn morning.
‘Something you want to say to the group Stiles?’ Theo chuckled after hearing yet another mumbled sentence out of the quirky boy who used to be his friend.
‘Not really’ Stiles grumbled which only made Theo’s smile a bit wider.
‘Are you sure? I’m pretty certain I actually heard you say that I had a good idea and that you were somewhat glad I was in the pack.’
Stiles retorted with some half-assed insult that made that rest of the pack giggle from their various positions beside them.
‘On second thought, whenever you decide you can stand to talk to me again, don’t.’
Stiles scoffed and stopped short glaring in to the side of his head making him stop and look back at him. ‘Oh that’s rich. You’re telling ME not to talk to YOU?’ He sputtered incredulously.
Theo smirked and nodded.
‘What the hell, why?’
Theo shrugged his shoulders and glanced over to Scott who was about to lose his shit laughing, same with Malia and Mason. ‘Because you’re extremely invasive and I don’t want you popping up at my house with some crazy plan every 5 seconds.’ He turned and winked at Liam.
‘Our house.’ Liam corrected as he slid up next to Theo brushing his shoulder against Theo’s arm.
Stiles sputtered and pointed at both of them, ‘How dare you! My plans are flawless’ he shouted earning a snort from Lydia and Malia, ‘and you… you… you little ungrateful shit! I practically raised you!’ At this point Mason and Scott were rolling on the wet leaves, tears streaming down their faces from laughter.”
Wow sorry just wrote a drabble and didn’t even mean to… see setting the scene is important! It takes simple dialogue to the next level and makes it a story rather than just a conversation. Hope this helps!
That was extremely helpful with a hearty side dish of entertainment. So while we're all processing how we’re going to write angst forever now, want to slide us any spoilers for things to come in both stories?
Haha, there may or may not be some steamy scenes in one or both of them soon. That’s all I can say for now.
I suppose, for now that has to be enough haha. Finally, what’s next for you? Both in life and in the writing world?
I’m currently in the process of taking over an athletic training company. So my workload has been steadily increasing, even though it may not seem like based off of how active I am on tumblr haha. Luckily, I get to do most of it from home before the actual coaching and teaching that takes place in the afternoon.
As for my writing, sadly I think Anchors is approaching the end… it will always hold a special place in my heart though because it was my first multi-chapter fanfic. Rivals is my number one baby right now and I have ZERO clue what I will do when I finish that. Hopefully I find another awesome prompt that can take Thiam for a ride. Been toying with dabbling in Drarry... but am thinking I’ll leave that one alone so I can just appreciate it as a reader.
My ask and inbox are always open!! I’m always accepting prompts; it may take me awhile to get around to them because of Rivals, Anchors, Secret Santa, and a possible oneshot smut ;) but I always like to take a break from my fics every once in a while to clear my head and get my creative juices flowing again!
Thank you so so much for wanting to interview me and get to know me a little bit more! The Thiam fandom is awesome and I’m so glad to call it my home!
And with that, Behind the Screens (BTS) presents ThiamLife to you! Let’s keep the conversation going; you can respond to any of her answers, ask more questions, send a prompt, or swing by for a chat with Kristina through her Tumblr Ask Box. And to dive into her works, check out her AO3 and Tumblr.
Tumblr: thiamlife
AO3: Mskristinamay
Ask Box: Thiamlife Ask
We’d like to thank her so much for entertaining our questions, especially the angst demonstration! One of our favorite pieces about BTS is the opportunity to learn craft secrets from one another. So thanks Kristina for breaking it down and going above and beyond the question :)
If you fan over a Thiam writer, artist, music mixologist, or video-making mastermind and want to know more about them, send us their usernames at any time. Also, feel free to add questions you’re dying to ask them. And if you, as an artist, would like to be a part of the Behind the Screens series, we’d love to get to know you, as well.
Until next time!

This work will feature various scenes corresponding to the main story who focus more on other characters and don't revolve around Liam.
Scenes won't be added in chronological order but in the main story will always be linked to the respective chapter here and vice versa. Each chapter name here will refer to the respective chapter in the main story
Theo was well aware that this was not his best idea. It was probably one of the worst he ever had but with Mike, it seemed like a good solution. Theo knew his boyfriend, Liam would say No in a heartbeat, just because he worried so much. This tour looked cool but it was also mentioned it was risky. So the only way to get Liam to actually say yes was to present him with a fait accompli. That way and linked with Theo cashing in his wish, it was a bullet proofed plan to make sure the young Alpha would not freak, right?
Yeah, right.
Theo had expected some discussion but he had not expected Liam to react in the way he reacted. He seemed actually angry and then he just left without a word. Theo frowned. He had not expected that outcome but he hoped Liam would get over himself. It was just a simple tour. They had been gone through worse, seven days in the Alaskan wilderness were nothing.
Liam obviously seemed to think differently about this and kept his distance to Theo. It hurt Theo in more ways than one and he missed his mate instantly. His heart was pulling painfully and it scared Theo because his heart was a difficult spot for him. He felt alone, even though he was still surrounded by his pack, and his wolf whined in his chest to seek out his mate and curl around him and make up again. But he also had his pride on the other side and this pride made it almost impossible for Theo to have a decent conversation with Liam. He only tried it once when he cornered Liam after he had enough of the Alpha’s antics. He saw the way the other Betas hunched, saw how Liam himself tensed, and how it affected Theo as well. “You said you wouldn’t be angry. You promised.” He stated and leaned against the kitchen counter. Liam stopped typing on his laptop and looked up at him and Theo knew the younger one was currently torn between ripping his head off and staying calm. Surprisingly the latter won. “I’m not mad. I am not necessarily excited about the aspect of my mate being in the Alaskan wilderness or that my mate will be gone for seven days straight, but I’m not mad.“ He stated, grabbed his laptop, and left Theo in the kitchen. Theo gaped at that. Because either Liam just lied to him or he really wasn’t mad about this. But he was mad so what exactly was he mad about? Or rather, why wasn’t he telling Theo was his real problem was?
Theo scoffed and kept his distance as well since then. He was stubborn, just like Liam, and they both hated each other’s behavior. He still had to admit packing his bag and getting ready to leave was a strange feeling. It felt like he left something behind and Theo knew full well it was his soulmate; his soulmate who was currently pissed as hell at him and Theo had no real idea why. Liam had promised and the nineteen-year-old usually stood with his promise, so Theo really didn’t get the big deal.
Yet asking Liam about it again? Thanks, he would pass! And so they drove to the airport and Theo glared at Liam when the other just snorted at the airport. One wrong word and this would end with a full-blown fight, the chimera was sure about that. So he just gripped the steering wheel and focused on parking his truck and then dropping the keys in Liam’s palm. He jumped out of his truck, grabbed his bag, and walked to into the hall without looking if Liam was following or not.  The young Alpha kept his distance and stayed behind anyway and so Theo hugged his pack mates. “Keep an eye on him, okay?” He whispered into Mason’s ear and the human squeezed his arm. “I will watch out that he doesn’t do anything stupid.” Theo smiled weakly. That was something.
And then the mated couple had to say goodbye and Theo played with the strap of his bag to give his hands something to do. Liam had this look on his face and Theo hated it, even more so because he caused it. Why was he flying again? “You promised you would not be mad.“ He said again. “I said I won‘t be mad at what you were doing. I’m not mad you’re going on this trip. What I’m mad at is that you somehow felt the need to trick me. You used your wish for something so stupid and made me promise I wouldn’t say anything negative about it. That I wouldn’t say No. As if I would have said No if you had told me you wanted to do it. You don’t need to ask me if you want to do anything. You could have told me. But you tricked me instead and I feel cheated. Cheated of the chance to talk about this with you, cheated of being a supportive boyfriend. And that‘s what I’m mad about. Because you knew full well I wouldn’t be too thrilled about the whole ordeal and you used this trick to stifle any talk about it right from the start. I feel manipulated and I thought those times were over.“
Theo stared at him. He had not expected that to be the reason and Liam’s words hit something inside him and he felt like falling. Fuck, he had really not thought of this. Had he manipulated Liam? Yeah, he head, even though Theo swore to himself to never do this again. His heart clenched painfully again and then their flight was called up and Theo felt panic rise. He couldn’t leave like this! Especially not when Liam looked at him like a lost puppy. His mate should be happy and not so insanely lost and sad!
But before Theo could say anything else, Liam turned around and walked away. No hug, no kiss, nothing. Theo’s heart was hammering inside. “Liam.” He said softly but Liam didn’t stop. Theo swallowed hardly and any more words died on his tongue.  Mike tugged at his arm. “Theo, we need to go.” Theo stayed where he was, eyes fixed on the door Liam disappeared through. Mike tugged again. “Theo!” “Go!” Mason said and he and Corey pushed Theo in the direction of the counter. “I will take care of him.” Mason called out and then ran after Liam and Theo sighed before he turned around. Liam didn't want to see him right now, what else was he supposed to do? So he just followed Mike to the counter and to the plane.
It was a small plane but Theo didn’t care about this right now. Mike cast a worried look at him. “You okay?” “I feel like Liam and I just broke up.” Theo confessed and Mike’s eyes widened before he shook his head. “No! Liam and you, you are literally each other’s other half. You two fight and you clear the air again but you never break up. Look, we both know Liam hates farewells, he probably just went away because he didn’t know what else to say.”
Theo knew Mike was trying to make him feel better and he pressed his eyes shut for a moment while he took a few deep breaths. Panic wasn’t good right now, not when the plane started rolling and the announcement to turn off all mobile devices started playing. Theo grabbed his phone from his pocket and his fingers hovered over the power button before he decided to text Liam one last time.
[to Liam] I hate to leave the state without us really making up. I am sorry for making you feel this way, that wasn’t my intention at all.
[to Liam] The plane is about to start, I have to turn my phone off now, but I wanted to let you know.
A stewardess appeared and asked him again to turn off his phone and Theo sighed but then switched it off and put it in his pocket again. He turned his head and looked out of the window, watched how Seattle got smaller and smaller. His mate was down there, left behind, and the lost look in Liam’s eyes haunted Theo.
****** Theo had tried to sleep during the flight to calm down a little but it had been impossible. He just stared out of the window instead. Sure, he was still happy about going on this tour and experiencing such an adventure, but that he left things like this with Liam didn’t bode well for him. He hated every fight with Liam and this right now, the state between fighting and making up, was worse than anything.
Mike tried his best to distract him and Theo was grateful for this. The other was a very good friend and squeezed Theo’s shoulder in a supportive manner when Theo switched his phone back on after they landed, but had no text from Liam waiting for him. And then Mike dragged him along to check in the hotel for their first night and then meet with their tour guide.
Their guide’s name was Nathan, he was a tall man in his mid-forties with dark brown hair and a beard with grey stubbles in it. He introduced Theo and Mike to the sled dogs and Theo smiled when the dogs jumped around them, sniffed them, and obviously accepted them as their new best friends. One of especially caught Theo’s eye because his fur was only slightly darker than Liam’s wolf. “His name is Mocca.” Nathan told him and Theo smiled and petted Mocca. “I know someone who is just as pretty as you.” He told the animal and Mocca barked happily.
They took their time with the dogs and then Nathan explained some important things to them before they settled on a meeting point and a meeting time for the next morning. On their way back to the hotel Theo tried to find a decent connection for his phone but failed in the end.  “You have to get used to it, especially during the tour. There won’t be a lot of places with a good connection.” Nathan told him. “Great.” Theo said with a grimace and then put his phone back in his pocket.
They stopped at the local restaurant and grabbed dinner. The whole day he had kind of forgotten to eat and now he was as hungry as Mike. The clear, crisp air was adding to this and the both of them dug into their food. “Are you okay?” Mike asked him and Theo played with his fries but nodded. “Yeah.” He said and tried a brave smile. He had to be okay because Liam was in another state, what else was he supposed to do?
After dinner, however, they walked back to the hotel and Theo found he could not rest. He tried watching tv, tried just laying on the bed and looking at the ceiling, tried to calm down and read, tried drawing, nothing worked for him. he gave up after a while, grabbed his phone, and tried to find a place with a connection decent enough to actually call Liam.  He found it outside of the hotel and pulled the collar of his jacket higher while he waited for Liam to accept his call. Theo worried his lower lip between his teeth because a part of him was terrified of the option that Liam didn’t want to speak to him because he was still mad. He wasn’t doing good with distance, especially not when they were fighting.
“Theo!“ Fucking hell, it felt good to hear Liam’s voice and to know his mate wanted to talk to him. “It took me ages to find a place with a decent connection that doesn’t break down every minute! Can you hear me?“ Theo replied and released his lower lip from his bite. “Yes, I hear you!“  “Good. Okay, let me start by saying I am sorry. I never, not even for one second, imagined you could feel manipulated. My train of thoughts was more along: If we tell him the facts, he won’t become too worried because there is nothing he can change about it. Which isn’t that much better, now that I hear it spoken out loud.“ It was important for Theo to tell Liam this, to make him see his part of the story. He had been wrong about how Liam reacted and severely underestimated the damage his actions could do. His intention never had been to hurt Liam but hearing the words spoken out loud made him realize how bad they actually sounded. Fuck!
“I was going to say. No, not really.“ Liam agreed with that. “But do you really feel like you have to ask for permission? Really, Theo?“ “No, that’s the point! I don‘t! But I know you would be worried and…I was wrong, Liam. So very wrong!“ “You were. But, Theo, where did that come from? Do you really view me as a tyrant who you have to ask for allowance to go and have fun, do something you like?“ “No! Absolutely not. You are my Alpha, my mate, and I know you worry. About all of us. My train of thoughts was less that you would not allow it but say No in a way that you would worry too much. Liam, I know I don’t have to ask you for permission. You get what I’m saying? Does that make sense? Fuck, Liam, I am usually very good with words but when it comes to you, I rarely find them.“
Theo ran a hand through his hair and realized with a grimace he had forgotten to put his beanie on. Well, okay, but at least he got to talk to Liam and Liam listened. That they listened to each other after a fight was one of the greatest achievements in their relationship because they both tended to be too stubborn for it in the beginning. They came a long way already but they still had to work on a better understanding, this situation now was proof of that. “I get what you’re saying. If we had talked to each other from the start, this whole shitshow wouldn’t have happened.“ “Yeah.“ Theo agreed. Because true.
The silence stretched between them and Theo leaned against the wall. He had a million things to say but like he stated prior, it was hard to find the words. Liam left a blank in his minds where he usually was great at finding words. And Theo found that he didn’t mind as much as he initially thought he would. Liam had this very special effect on him and a major part of Theo liked it.
“Did you enjoy the flight? Met any sled dogs yet? And how’s the weather?“ Theo smiled at Liam’s questions. He knew Liam was also trying to get them to make up. “The flight was okay. A bit cramped compared to the big planes but manageable. And yes we have. They are very energetic and playful, it will be fun to see them run in the snow. One of them is almost the same color as your wolf. Your wolf is a bit lighter. His name is Mocca.“ “Sounds nice. I hope you have fun. You know I do, right?“ “Yeah, Liam, I know you want us to have fun.“ Theo confirmed. He knew Liam did. Liam may be angry but he wasn’t heartless and even he noticed how excited Theo and Mike were to go on that trip.
A breeze swirled around him and Theo shivered.  “It’s fucking cold here.“ Liam snickered. “You traveled to Alaska, honey.“ “I’m aware of that, Mr. Dunbar.“ “Mr. Dunbar? Kinky!“ It had slipped out.  The reply made Theo grin. That was familiar territory, this was where they were best. Teasing each other and joking around. It made everything feel lighter immediately. “Well, you know my preferences. I am absolutely Liam-sexual.“ He gave his voice a slight sultry tone and even though he couldn’t see Liam’s reaction, he knew his mate smiled.
They fell silent again and Theo debated on asking or not but he couldn’t hold back anymore.  “Liam?“ “Yeah?“ “Are we okay?“ He needed to know if Liam held any grudge against him or if Liam also felt lighter again. Theo wanted his mate to be happy and while he only would be completely happy when he has reunited with Liam again, he had to settle for this now. He worried his lip again while he anxiously waited for a reply from Liam.
“Just come home safe, okay?“ Liam told him. “I need you.“  “I promise.“ Theo said and a shiver ran down his spine. This time it was a shiver of the good kind. Liam still cared about him. Liam still loved him. “Good.“ Liam said right when another breeze hit and Theo shivered so violently his teeth clanked.  “Crawl under a blanket and warm yourself up.“ It was a very fond way Liam spoke to him and it left a warm feeling inside him. “Okay, I will contact you once I arrived at the next spot with a good connection, okay?“ “Okay.“ “Good Night, Liam.“ “Good Night, Theo.“
Theo put his phone back after they ended the call and stomped back to his room. He had a smile on his face and his steps felt lighter now like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. They kind of talked it out and now that they did, Theo could enjoy his trip. He was still thrilled about starting the tour tomorrow. It would be a great adventure and while his life wasn’t necessarily boring, this was an adventure where nobody would get shot and die.
****** “You appear lighter in spirit today.” Mike told him the next morning and Theo smiled.  “Talked to Liam last night. Greetings from him by the way.”  Mike smirked. “You talked it out and cleared the air? That’s awesome.”  Theo smiled and nodded before he gave Mike a pat on the back. “Let’s grab some breakfast before it’s time to go. I can’t wait.”
He was buzzing now with excitement and reminded himself so much of Liam, it made him chuckle. His boyfriend affected him more than Theo might realize but at the same time he also saw his mannerisms appear on Liam and it gave him a strange feeling of belonging. They belonged together, were two sides of one, two halves of a whole. Liam was his other half, his soulmate, and Theo may not be the most romantic out there, but he knew just that.
He checked his phone but found no reception and so no text from Liam but that’s what Nathan had told him and Theo was aware Liam knew it too and would not be angry if Theo’s replies took their time. So he pocketed his phone when it was finally time to go and followed Mike towards the sled. Nathan explained the route they would take and then it was time to go. The dogs were excited and despite the sled being quite heavy, they were fast.  “Whoa!” Mike said and clung to the sled when it started.  “Fast, huh?” Nathan asked with a chuckle. “It’s awesome!” The young Beta called out and Theo laughed. It was truly amazing. Even though it was cold, the sun was shining and experiencing the rough nature of Alaska like this was better than anything Theo imagined.
They stopped from time to time and Nathan showed them some things, pointed out special places and shared some stories. Mike, true to the promise he gave Liam, made so many pictures Theo was worried his memory card would be full on the first day. But Mike was happy too and laughed more than Theo had ever seen him before. “Can we steal one of the dogs?” He asked during a break and played with a dark brown husky named Hazelnut.  “We have two dogs who, when Liam is right with what he found out, grow large. I’m not sure a third dog would fit, especially not a husky.” “But look at her cute face.” He said and Hazelnut licked his hand. Theo chuckled but rolled his eyes. "Stop that.”
He checked his phone shortly but still had no reception. Nathan told him he could be happy to have cell phone reception at the shed they would stay for the night. Theo could not wait. He had fun, it was an amazing experience, but he also wanted to check things with Liam.  It was strange to be so cut off from his pack. He was used to having the latest updates immediately because he was either there himself or got all kind of texts. Especially Ever, Sadie, and Mason were great at texting every little thing. Radio silence was refreshing to one point, but it was also strange.
When they finally arrived at their stop for the night and Theo really had enough reception, he checked his texts immediately. Liam had indeed sent several pictures and Theo opened the first one to smile. Liam’s selfie was just so cute and like always when he saw his boyfriend, his heart picked up.
[to Liam] That the material sweet dreams are about. Good Night, Alpha puppy ;D
“What you’re smiling about?” Mike asked and Theo tilted his phone to show Mike Liam’s selfie. Mike snickered. “So hopelessly in love.” He teased and Theo turned his phone back and opened the second picture without really paying much attention to his Beta. It was true anyway.
But then he bit his lip to stop himself from gasping. Liam’s wet chest did things to him, for several reasons and because he couldn’t touch. Good thing he had turned his phone back and Mike couldn’t see. Theo loved him like a little brother, but that was something only for Theo to see.
The next pictures were even hotter and a low whine escaped his throat. Liam obviously decided to tease him and Theo was torn between laughing and crying. His naughty little Alpha was really living up to the nickname and taught Theo a lesson. Never leave the house without your mate, kids, you might miss glorious things.
[to Liam] Are you serious? I almost opened this with Mike next to me!
[to Liam] Why are you doing this to me? Is this payback??
[to Liam] I want to lick those droplets off your skin
[to Liam] I have to sleep in a small cabin with Mike. Do you know how uncomfortable it is when I’m horny?
He fired the texts up and then stuck around outside of the cabin to calm down a little bit. He didn’t need to sleep in a tiny shed with Mike when he was horny. Theo was grateful for the cold air. His cheeks felt like they were burning and he had a hard time - pun not intended - to will down his cock that started to strain against his jeans.
Liam had not replied and when he looked at the time, Theo was pretty sure he was asleep already. Perfectly fine, he would do the same. Sleeping without Liam was still strange and Theo really hoped he would not get a nightmare, but he had sneaked one of Liam’s shirt in his bag, and his Alpha’s scent kept the nightmares at bay. That and the exhaustion from herding the dogs all day and guide the sled were enough to make him fall in a deep, dreamless slumber.
****** Next morning came and with that, he got a very sweet video from Liam. His mate looked so insanely gorgeous all sleep warm and hair tousled. The message in this video made Theo smile and he showed it to Mike.
“Aw, I miss them too.” With how Mike was typing vividly on his phone, Theo was pretty sure he was texting Tim at last, if not Nolan too. He would never get the relationship those three had but he knew Mike and Tim helped Nolan with the Alec situation and that was good.
Theo was about to reply to Liam’s video when he received a second one and that made Theo curse out loudly. Mike and Nathan stared at him and Theo felt his cheeks heating up. He turned around and walked away from the other two to watch the video. Liam had sent him an actual video of him jerking off. For fuck’s sake, who allowed the young Alpha to have a phone when his mate was away? Now not even the crisp air could cool him down and his cheeks flamed. Theo had expected a lot from Liam but usually, Theo was better at teasing. Liam now beat him in his own game and strangely Theo didn’t mind as much as he probably should.  He heard Mike laugh and raised his head. His eyes narrowed when he caught the glance directed at him. “What now?” “I’m texting Liam. Nothing else.” Theo glared at Mike for a solid ten seconds, then he texted Liam himself.
[to LIam] Don’t believe anything Mike sent you, whatever it is. He’s just being silly. But Liam, really????
The reply came almost instantly.
[from Liam] Love you too, my mate.
Theo smiled. Yeah, he loved Liam too and sent him that before they had to pack their things and leave again. Theo had something to do and forbade himself to think about the latest video Liam sent him. He would have crashed his sled otherwise.
****** “You’re really happy to have Liam.” Mike told Theo when they sat around a campfire. They stayed in some igloos tonight, which was awesome itself, and just sat together and talked. Their whole trip was awesome, every day was new and exciting, and Theo was really happy he did it. Liam sent him some texts and pictures every once in a while but Theo knew next time he would go on such a trip he would take Liam with him. “I mean, to have someone who understands you like he does.”
Theo nodded. “I can’t tell you how happy I really am to have Liam. You know when it all started all over again, after I came back from you know where, I found myself tagging after him and at first I really tried to convince myself it was to get in Scott’s good graces again and keeping an eye on Liam for him, but soon enough I found myself wonder why I was always searching Liam out. I had options and yet I always chose Liam. I made sure he stayed relatively cool, didn’t hurt anybody or did worse things, and even more important, I made sure he survived. We developed a dynamic and when it was all over I was scared this dynamic would change again. That he would cast me aside now that the danger was gone.” Theo laughed and looked into the fire. “I severely underestimated my anchor’s endurance. He noticed things I tried to hide so hard. The fact that I was homeless? I deserved it and so I never mentioned it. And then, one night, he was right next to my truck and knocked at my window. I expected it to be yet another police officer but it was him and he asked me...no he demanded that I came home with him.”
Mike chuckled. “I would have loved to see that discussion, not gonna lie.”
Theo grinned. “I refused and he refused to let me refuse. We argued back and forth and in the end, he threatened to chain himself to my car. I just wanted to sleep and agreed for one night. Next day I wake up and get the full Geyer-Dunbar package. Breakfast and that he talked with his parents and welcome to the family. That I didn’t get a cake was everything.”
Mike laughed now. “Your face when you say that! You frown even now.”
“I was eighteen, had done terrible things, and this family took me in like it was nothing. I was convinced they would kick me out next possibility they got but they didn’t. And over time I realized my stay with them wasn’t limited. They wanted me around. That was around the time I really noticed my feelings for Liam. The rest is history.”
“Hm.” Mike looked at the fire as well. “What made you fall for Liam?”
Theo was silent for a while. “His eyes. And not because they are so pretty but because they are honest. Thanks to his IED, thanks to everything he’s been through, Liam learned to put on a mask. He can tell you he isn’t scared and his face will convince you of his words but his eyes, his eyes always show his true feelings. He can be absolutely silent, face passive, but his eyes portray the storm brewing inside him. And when I looked into his eyes, I always saw what was really going on and it intrigued me that I was seemingly the only one able to see this. Or that everyone else ignored it. It felt like I had a benefit when it came to Liam because I noticed but soon enough I found out that his eyes laid everything open but also forced me to be open myself. That’s where the no bullshit thing stems from. We can’t lie to each other. And when I came to that realization, I started to feel like I was welcome. Liam made me feel welcome because he saw everything I tried to hide and yet he didn’t run screaming for the hills. He stayed and I guess this bravery made me develop a crush. Because he saw it and yet didn’t pressure me to lay it open. He gave me time. Add his big heart, his puppy ways, and I had no other choice but fall in love with him.”
Mike stared at the second Alpha. “Wow.” He mumbled in awe. “I hope I’ll find somebody like that too, one day.” “Well, haven’t you already in Tim?” Theo asked with a sly smirk. “Tim and I are best friends!” “Liam is my best friend too and yet we fell in love. One doesn’t exclude the other.” “Hm.” Mike only said.
****** It was a bit sad to have the trip end and be on their way back to the starting point. It had been a great trip, they saw so much and Theo would tell those stories for years from now on. On the other hand, he could not wait to get home and hug and kiss Liam again and see the rest of the pack again.
Mike smiled even brighter today than the last days and Theo just thought it was because he was happy to see Tim and Nolan soon, but he also didn’t inquire further. The ride back they joked around and had fun and when the hall came into view. Theo sighed softly. He got from the sled and checked his phone. Liam had not replied to any texts lately and Theo worried. he knew his boyfriend was online but he ignored Theo’s texts and he had no idea why. “I don’t know why he’s not answering. What did I do?” He whined.
Mike shrugged and petted Hazelnut. “How should I know?”
Theo groaned and then he petted the dogs too, told them they did an amazing job and fed them the latest treats he had gotten from Nathan. Nathan pulled him into an easy conversation about the books Theo planned to read next. They had found out they liked the same writers and now gave each other recommendations on what to read as well as exchanging experiences. Mike was already walking to the hall and entered to brush the snow off his shoulders. Theo paid no real attention to him but suddenly he heard a familiar voice and his head snapped around.
And there he stood. His mate, dressed in a dark grey winter jacket, a green henley (Theo’s henley as his brain helpfully supplied), black jeans and black winter boots and he smiled. Nathan just left but Theo didn’t really notice. Liam was here. Liam had flown to Alaska for them. Liam had come to greet him.
Liam was here.
“Liam!” “That’s my name.” “What are you doing here?” “Well, since you developed a tendency of suddenly going on adventures, somebody has to make sure you’re getting back home. Besides, the Alaskan people endured you for a whole week, I probably have to say sorry to every single one of them.” He joked. Theo looked taken aback. “You...Are you still mad at me?” This was either a joke or Liam still held a grudge, Theo wasn’t so sure at the moment. “I am fuming.” Liam retorted. “Even more if you don’t come over here and greet me in the right way.”
The smile he sent Theo was enough confirmation That Liam was just teasing him and Theo dropped his bag without further hesitation. He closed the distance between them and pulled Liam in the tightest bear hug he ever executed. Liam’s laugh was music to his ears and when his mate wrapped his arms around Theo he felt like home again.  “Missed you, Dore.” “Missed you too. So much! I am so sorry for doing this.” “Shh, it’s okay, we talked about that. I’m not mad anybody and I finally have you back in my arms. Everything is fine now.”
Theo chuckled and felt how Liam stroked his neck. He raised his head and they smiled happily at each other. Theo was so happy to have his werewolf back, he just picked Liam up and kissed him with all the love and devotion he had for the nineteen-year-old. He didn’t care that they probably looked like a couple on the cover of a romance novel, all he cared about was the young man in his arms who kissed him back with equal feelings.
He had Liam back, they were okay again, and his wolf howled inside his chest with happiness. Theo usually kept his inner animal controlled but since he had gotten with Liam he felt his animal more prominent but in a  good way. His wolf responded to Liam’s wolf and felt the best when he was with his mate. And when they parted now, he happily nuzzled Liam’s neck and just held him close. That’s what he had longed for. Seven long days without his mate and now he had him back in his arms. Back where he belonged, back where they both belonged. Together.
And Theo didn’t let go of Liam for a long time. Even during the night, he stayed as close as possible. Touching Liam calmed him and he had missed his boyfriend so much, he now curled around Liam and scented him.  “Yours.” He agreed with Liam’s words and kissed his jaw. “And you’re mine.” He agreed with what Liam said next.  “Right where I belong.” In Liam’s arms and Liam in his arms, face hidden in the crook of Liam’s neck and shoulder so he could inhale his boyfriend’s scent. Theo was an atheist but if there was something like paradise, he was pretty sure this what it looked, felt, and smelled like.
I said I had this idea and you all were so supportive of it, so I thought why not start right now with Theo's point of view of the last chapter? I'm curious what you have to say about it.

- I haven’t actually seen the last couple seasons of Teen Wolf, so I will be making shit up and not using the actual plot because I don’t know enough about what has been happening in the show
Tumblr media
“This is a bad idea” you said as you followed Theo, Liam and Scott towards the forest “Like, a really stupid, bad idea”
“Yeah I know but it’s the only idea we have that might actually work” Scott said, the nervousness in his voice evident even when he was trying his best to hide it.
The most recent problem you and the pack were facing was a rogue wolf running around the forest kidnapping and killing people, you needed to find out who it was, why they were doing it, and you needed to stop them.
But unfortunately for the four of you, everyone else was out of town for the summer. It was just you guys left to deal with it.
Stopping in a clearing Scott turned towards the three of you “Liam you go that way, Theo there, y/n, you go that way and I’ll go this way” Scott said, pointing out the directions you were to split up in “If you see the wolf, call us”
Nodding Scott and Liam headed off but you and Theo stayed together for a moment “Be careful” you said looking nervously at him.
Lifting his arms in a ‘what?’ manner he smirked at you “Aren’t I always?”
Giving him a look you shook your head, only slightly amused “Just come back alive” you said seriously
Theo leaned forward and pressed a brief kiss to your lips “I will if you will”
Smiling at you you whispered “Promise?”
He smiled at you “I promise I will come back alive. Now your turn”
“I promise” you repeated the words. He smiled at you before squeezing your hand and beginning to walk backwards.
Doing the same you slowly turned and wandered into the forest, unaware of the glowing eyes boring into yours within the forest.
The deeper you got into the forest the darker and creepier it got, you had never been this far into the woods before, and you couldn’t shake the feeling something was watching you. Coming across a small creek you crouched down, looking for some sign of recent activity. Suddenly your phone rang causing you to gasp and jump.
Pulling out your phone you stared at the name ‘Scott’ answering it, his voice was crackly and coming in and out, you didn’t have a good enough connection “y/n, h- you...any-”
“Scott? What? I can’t hear you!”
“y/n? Have you found anything?” “Scott? Wha-? I ca- hear you!”. Sighing he realized you must be to far into the forest.
“Where.-..ou?” you struggled to listen, but figures he was asking where you were
“I’m near a creek of some sort, I think I’m close to the edge of town” waiting for a response you froze when you heard a crunch behind you.
Turning slowly you saw a pair of bright red eyes staring at you from the darkened forest “Scott” you said slowly, whispering
He barely heard his name come from your mouth, but the fear was evident enough “y/n? What’s wrong?”
“Alpha” it was clear enough for him to understand.
His eyes widened, Scott spoke quickly beginning to run in the direction he thought you were “y/n run!”
“run-” you didn’t have to hear that to know what you were suppose to do. You tried to shove you phone in your pocket, but it missed and fell onto the forest floor. Running as fast as you could, your ears rung with the loud call of the Alpha chasing you from behind.
The Alpha call boomed through the forest, causing Liam and Theo to stop in their tracks “That was not Scott” Theo muttered to himself before running off towards the roar.
After getting closer to the clearing he saw Liam come from a different direction, stopping Liam turned towards him “Where did that come from?!”
Before Theo could answer they saw Scott coming, running past them he shouted one word at them that made Theo’s heart stop “y/n!”
Quickly chasing after Scott, his mind was empty except for your name running through it, he needed to get to you, now.
You kept running, but quickly realized that you would be reaching the end of the forest soon, and knowing what was at the end you prepared to jump. Reaching the large mountainous gap that surrounded the edges of the town you leapt across, barely catching the edge of the other side you continued to run, but quickly fell to the ground as a hand grabbed your ankle. The alpha had been right behind you.
Turning over on your back you got a full look at the alpha, dark shaggy hair, torn clothes, scrapes and blood covering his face and body, and the look in his eyes told you he was rabid, he probably couldn’t even think of anything but death.
Kicking out you clocked him in the face before putting our your claws and slicing his chest. As you stood, you let your golden eyes show before letting out the loudest howl you could, to warn the alpha you were ready to fight, and also to tell Scott and the others where you were.
Your call was loud, angry, and it made Theo’s blood boil. They weren’t as close to you as he had hoped but they kept running. Pushing as hard as they could to get to you.
You and the alpha circled each other at the edge of the cliff. If you fell off, it wouldn’t kill you, but it would hurt like hell. But it would also hurt the alpha. You needed to get the edge on him and throw him off, that would give you the time you needed to get away and back to the others.
As the alpha stared you down he lunged towards you, luckily for you he was rabid enough that he didn’t really think of tactic. As he came at you, you easily dodged him and kneed him in the back, pushing him closer to the edge.
But as you kicked him back, you stumbled, which gave him enough time to lunge again, his claws found their way to your shoulder, ripping open your shirt and your skin. Yelling out in pain you used your claws and hit the alpha in the face, scratching him across one eye, causing a loud howl to exit his body.
You were fighting the alpha, they heard your painful cry, and then the cry of the alpha. You were a good fighter, you would be okay. You would be okay until they got to you. Theo, Scott and Liam were getting closer, but when they did, they weren’t prepared for what they would see.
As you punched the alpha again, you could hear the distant approaching of Theo, Scott and Liam. You just needed to keep the alpha away from you until then. But the alpha was growing angrier, and an angry alpha is the strongest.
He grabbed your arm and threw you over his shoulder and onto the ground, knocking the air out of you. But you quickly kicked up, hitting him in the chin, giving you enough time to try and stand. But as you got onto your knees the alpha swung his arm, bringing his claws harshly against your stomach.
Staggering towards the edge of the cliff you heard Theo call from behind you, they were standing on the other edge of the cliff, getting ready to jump over. But they faltered at what happened next.
As the alpha ran towards you, you knew this was the moment you were waiting for. As he got close enough you reach out grabbing him, throwing him past you and off the cliff. But what you weren’t prepared for was him grabbing you and bringing your down with him.
Theo ran forward as if he could jump and catch you, but Scott grabbed him, pulling him back. It was too late. They all froze in fear as they saw you fall with the alpha.
“Let me go!” Theo cried as he fell on his knees, looking down over the side of the cliff. Your body was lying on the ground next to the alpha, still, too still.
As you fell, the alpha managed to break your fall enough to save you. Your vision swam as you could hear the approaching footsteps of your friends.
The alpha was knocked out next to you. Theo fall down next to you, seeing the blood covering you, your body was limp as he moved you onto his lap. Tears beginning to fill his eyes.
“y/n, y/n! Hey, wake up. Come on” his voice was scared, desperate.
Scott and Liam kneeled down next you, waiting for you to open your eyes ‘Please open your eyes’ they thought quietly to themselves.
Theo ran his hands across your face, brushing the stray hairs away. Your heart beat was slow, quiet, it scared him “Y/n...please...please don’t die now”
His voice was pulling you out of the darkness, opening your eyes just enough you saw the relieved expression come across all three of there faces, your body was aching all over, but you still spoke.
Your voice was hoarse and quiet “Told you this was a bad idea”
Scott and Liam let out a relived scoff. Theo’s voice was shaking “I thought I lost you” his hands still caressing your face.
“Why? I made a promise, didn’t I?” you said staring into his eyes.
It was his turn to scoff, before pressing a gently kiss on your forehead. Gently scooping you up into his arms he turned towards the others “We need to get y/n to the hospital”
As they rushed through the forest, back towards the town, you could hear Scott call his mom on the phone. He was trying to get an ambulance to you. You began to grow tired, darkness taking over. But as you drifted into sleep in Theo’s arms you knew you would be safe when you next woke up.
Requested by @smileymcgrew143
Just a tip for next time if you request something, you asked for an ‘imagine’ but I consider that something else, this would be a oneshot or prompt request. (Just wanted to let you know, because sometimes I have only imagines open, and people will request these oneshot/prompts as ‘imagines’ when that’s not what is open) Hopefully this doesn't sound rude, I don’t mean it to be, I just want to make sure people get what they are actually asking for :)

Thoughts, headcanons, and more. A miscellaneous post without a proper title.
So, there are a number of things that I'd like to personally discuss, and I haven't grouped them in a particular order. The only preface that I'd like to give is that at the heart of this post lies my perception of various things all related to TLJ. Naturally, my perception influences my portrayal.
I suppose I can actually group some of these points as me rolling my eyes and disapprovingly shaking my head at some absurd fandom things. Now, I actively try to avoid most of the SW fandom ( outside of rp ) by refraining from visiting tags ( save for one tag in particular because it's usually filled with fascinating meta and beautiful art ). However, because people are shamelessly hateful to the people in that tag and they abuse crosstagging, I stumble across irritating posts sometimes that inform me of some of the vapidity of some fans. Normally, I stay silent, but not today.
One of these ridiculous things is that there's some argument apparently going around, and one of the points is that Rey didn't consent to the Force Bond. There are so many things wrong about that statement that I don't know where to begin. For instance, obviously she didn't, but are you forgetting about the hiiiiighly apparent fact that Benlo ( yup still referring to him as that for now because it keeps things concise and it's inoffensive ) didn't either? In the first two connection scenes, he's the one actually trying to make sense of it because he's so confused. Regardless of how they feel about this connection, neither asked for it or tried to establish it.
Kind of jumping around too but not quite, I need to take this moment to emphasize the fact that I don't condone hatred whatsoever. As someone who didn't really venture into the SW side of roleplaying but has been involved with plenty of other communities ( ex. The Secret Circle, Pretty Little Liars, Revenge, Teen Wolf, Harry Potter, Disney, etc. ), I can honestly say that no fandom I've been exposed to is quite as vicious as the SW one. This whole 'anti' thing just gets taken to a whole new level. I'm stunned and appalled by the fact that there are people who think that it's considered 'acceptable' and 'cool' to bash others for loving fiction. Who think that defamation is alright. ( When you insist that people who support a pairing are women haters despite the fact that a majority of them are women themselves, that's defamation. ) It's not. There's a difference between not liking something and being an ant. For example, I don't like Cassie Blake from The Secret Circle, but I absolutely don't consider myself an ant because I don't antagonize people who love her and I don't spend my energy making spiteful posts & whatnot about the character. I simply have this dislike and that's the end of that. Whether you're an anti-character ( ex. anti-Poe [ do any actually exist? ] ) or an anti-ship ( ex. anti-FinnRey ), I don't want this blog to be touched by anyone who considers themselves an ant of any character of ship. Anyone who actively disparages and demonizes people for loving fiction should be faaaaaaar away from this blog. I want to be surrounded by loving and peaceful people. Not cutthroat and mean-spirited people, thanks.
Now, I'm going to be rather bold and say something. At some point while I've had this muse, I started seeing posts made by personals about Rey being a lesbian. At first, I didn't think much of them. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Now? I think they're quite annoying and telling. Why? You realize that a number of those people are probably FinnRey shippers as well, right? Possibly even ReyPoe. No, I've got nothing against these ships at all and actually appreciated both as a multishipper ( though I will say I love StormPilot and FinnRose a bit more than FinnRey ). So, what's wrong with them appreciating those ships yet insisting that Rey is a lesbian? Well, you can't have it both ways, and it's quite apparent that they're insisting she's one to try to justify their abhorrence of those who ship Rey with someone they can't picture her with as well as the ship itself. From my experience, these posts insisting she's a lesbian come from ants for the most part, and they make this assertion in quite the arrogant way. They say it as if it's a fact that she's a lesbian ( and blatantly dismiss / reject the possibility of her being anything else ), when it isn't a fact. There's nothing wrong with portraying her that way in fanfiction and roleplaying, but to act as if it's a canon fact that she's a lesbian is absurd. Also, these people will ditch her in a heartbeat if she ends up with someone they don't like by the end of episode IX. If she finds happiness somewhere, they disagree with, they'll ditch her immediately. Supposed Rey 'fans' have already ditched her because of the continuation of her story in VIII. Had I not anticipated that response from them, I would have been disappointed. Honestly, they were never fans to begin with because they never really understood or appreciated the character. I roll my eyes so hard when people claim she wasn't herself in TLJ. It's not true in the slightest.
Something else. Kind of me rolling my eyes at the faaar opposite end of the spectrum. I'm genuinely disgusted by posts that insinuate she was thirsty for Benlo in this film. They're over-sexualizing a character who has likely never dated or done anything sexual in her life. Rey has never been one for needlessly socializing and she doesn't invest trust easily in her eyes. That's evidenced by the novel 'Rey's Story' and I believe another TFA related novel that I can't quite recall the name of. It's been a long day and I'm too comfortable to go upstairs to pick up the book right now. ( Here's where I get a bit more direct with my headcanons in this post. ) Yes, seeing him shirtless flustered her because she believed ( at the time ) that he's supposed to be her enemy and she's seeing him exposed. Also, while you're really not going to get her to say it out loud ( again not as I portray her ), she doesn't find him aesthetically displeasing. Even if only to herself and not out loud, she can admit that he's attractive physically and personality ( save for the parts that she severely disapproves of such as his willingness to let others die ). However, she absolutely wasn't thirsty and by suggesting she was, you're kind of taking away from her intelligence & depth as a character. The attraction / pull primarily lies in the magnetism of this bond as well as their similarities as individuals. It's a much more sophisticated pull. She feels drawn to him inexplicably and on a profound level.
Now, again, me rolling my eyes at something. Some ants are suggesting Rey didn't defend Ben Solo by fighting Luke, and I'm just baffled by such denial. There are several reasons why she fought Luke after he interrupted the hand touch moment. She doesn't like being lied to - especially by someone she's revered for so long. She wanted to force Luke to cast aside his deception and reveal the truth. Lastly, she was INDEED defending Ben Solo and that came from a place of empathy. Yes, there's a part of her that sympathizes him, but her empathy is much stronger. The thought of someone nearly being killed by a relative - one who went on to paint a story in which the roles of aggressor and victim were reversed - enraged her. She felt as if his story deserved to come out from the darkness and be revealed instead of obscured by Luke's lies. She was angry on Ben Solo's behalf and protective of him in that moment.
Also, surprise surprise, me rolling my eyes at something again. The whole "you're nothing, but not to me" line that sparked so much conflict among fans. I actually spoke with my mom about it after her first viewing / my second viewing. Thing is, I feel like a number of people who find the line 100% reprehensible are missing something HUGE. It came from someone who hasn't been shown kindness, warmth, and love for years. Someone who hasn't needed to show it. Someone who's been trained by this oppressive menace to be brutal, hostile, and savage for years. Someone whose parents didn't have an amicable and peaceful relationship. Someone who was sent away to train with his uncle. Someone that same uncle considered murdering. Someone who has had his trust broken more times than probably any of us are aware of. Someone who's had to worry about being perceived as weak by his superior. Someone who's had to worry about being humiliated or one upped by a particularly competitive and opportunistic general. Someone who's been suffering from a feeling of being torn apart for years. Someone who's felt lonely in his own way for years. Yet, there are audience members who for whatever reason expect him to have the tact, gentleness, and sensitivity that they have - that have been foreign to him for who knows how long. His experiences have resulted in the formation of a disconnect between him and more harmonious emotions. He doesn't have the sensitivity that many of us do, and that needs to be understood. No, it doesn't make what he said right, but his mentality is so different and we must remember that. Also, no, he wasn't trying to use the past to hurt or manipulate her. He values the truth more than words can properly convey and he wanted - perhaps even needed - her to understand him. There's a sense of human desperation there - especially in the way he says please.
Adding to this scene, but a different part. Apparently, some people are divided on her response to his offer / plea as well. I think she responded as appropriately as she could have, but her feeling of regret was inevitable. Thing is, although talking with him and explaining why she couldn't join him then seems ideal, the circumstances were dire. She needed to act with haste, and felt pressured to do so. Those transports and the people aboard needed to be saved. She knows how determined he can be and that he doesn't do things halfheartedly. Even if she'd explained - even if those transports weren't in danger, she's quite certain he wouldn't have simply allowed her to walk away. At that point, he seemed quite sure of his path, and he couldn't be swayed. So, she used the element of surprise while she had it.
Now, for Rey's lightsaber skills in the Throne Room. We notice her doing a good bit of twirling. It needs to be emphasized that while we as audiences have seen him partake in lightsaber matches, she hasn't. She was Luke's student for a quick second, and she wasn't a traditional student either. She was offered three lessons and she never really received that final lesson. At no point did she personally witness him wield a lightsaber. So, where does that twirling come from? Whose mind has she been inside of? Who has she seen use a lightsaber? Just think about that for a moment. She combines the knowledge gained from him with battle techniques she used when wielding her staff.
Now, for the last part of this post. Their respective visions. During one of the six times I viewed it in theaters, I realized something on my own. Both of their visions technically came true. Rey stood beside Benlo in battle and for a moment, they were on the same side. Not the Light side. Not the Dark side. Not the First Order. Not the Resistance. A side of their own. Just before that, Benlo did betray Snoke. So, when you think about it, it's kind of tragic that the two of them misinterpreted their visions and believe that they still have yet to occur. However, I do wonder precisely what it is that each saw and I hope we get more information come the release of the novelization.
