their name is amos! ٩( ᐛ )و an intelligent but haunted autistic sheep that is always in need of a desperate nap.

i can’t lie, my MC is quite literally just a mesh of a self-insert mingled with whatever thing i’m hyper-fixating on at the time — so sometimes it’ll be that they’re connected to certain bits of lore from baldur’s gate 3 or that they’ve traveled on the astral express from honkai star rail. but now i’ve started to just accept that i can quite frankly do whatever i want, so all the worlds are connected in my eyes + the game has some ‘forgotten realms’ logic / tidbits of history so…it’s not like im technically straying too far (´-ω-`)

without any attachment to other games/interests, the simple story is that they’re a criminal lawyer that works alongside detectives! though given that hades-persephone arrangement with their time in the human world vs devildom, only the unbreakable cases ever get passed down to them to avoid timing complications.

WITH forgotten realms lore (and others), they’re a hybrid mix between a fallen bhaalspawn and either a nephilim (offspring of human and angel) or nephalem (offspring of demon and angel) — PURELY because i’m biologically lost on how lilith’s (or bhaal’s for that matter) genes would work in regards to their descendants. lilith was an angel who was reborn a human, but she regained that angelic power within her and carried it to MC canonically, but she’s still a human by technicality - but then bhaal’s a human turned demonic god…yeah i’m not here to argue genetics d(￣ ￣)

their lineage is long and not lost on them! it’s just that they rather forget that part of them and decided to reintegrate into human society and atone for their sins by serving as a lawyer who maybe once or twice has used some underhand tactics to gain information (bhaal’s blood runs thick).

i remember reading something about how cute it would be if lilith interacted with MC when they were younger and no one could see her but them — i added that HC too (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎) except, when amos was young, they were continuously tested for schizophrenia due to symptoms of the consequence of their lineage being associated with it, like babbling and playing with “imaginary friends” (lilith) as if they were real to be a sign of hallucinations and delusions, alongside the fact they suffered with speech disorganisation, avolition and repetitive stress motions of scratching at their hands as if bloodied.

disorders and past aside, they had grown from that cunning, manipulative and constantly paranoid frays of nerves to a nerd (affectionate).

a short description of their relationship with all the characters! also because i’m a complete whore (and indecisive) they’re poly (*´-`)

lucifer : extremely close with! at first, they didn’t like him at all, but in a way that remained respectful. it was like a “you’re a bitch, but you know what given who i am, i get it.” though, that dwindled over the months of being forced to clean up after his siblings constantly, the first initial contact of theirs where amos felt a lil (>﹏<) was when they first crashed in his study with their face buried in their hands.

mammon : close but lord do they sometimes want to smother him with a pillow. they have secretly stashed all of the magazine covers he’s featured on under their bed and they REFUUUSEE to show him ever.

leviathan : both are massive nerds who gush over their interests too much (projection? no…if couldn’t possibly be) and they’ll spend hours just mindlessly gazing at the fish in his tank, counting every bubble that pops (it helps take the mind off the blood).

satan : usually calm but with violent urges 🤝 trying to be kind but sometimes blood’s easier draw - a mutual understanding of how the circumstance of your birth doesn’t define you. mwah, book reading nights every week (they force him to read and depressingly rate shitty booktoks).

asmodeus : a much needed active love giver in their life who they’d slaughter a nation for him. amos is so used to giving until there’s nothing left of them to hopefully be able to rebuild every cell of theirs to get rid of that ache within the pit of their stomach, so having someone so caring as asmo makes the sacrifice worthwhile

beelzebub : a person plagued with the blood of bhaal rarely ever has a day where they don’t dream of feasting on raw, dripping flesh. good that beel is here to replace disgusting thoughts of cannibalism into thoughts of surplus sweets!

belphegor : i refuse to believe anyone would’ve forgiven belphie as quickly as the canon!MC did in game bc i’m sorry… we DIED!!? WHY ARE WE CUDDLING HIM?? as someone who’s been slaughtered by their own father once (reject!bhaalspawn lore!!!) and being brought back to life again, amos found the ordeal tiring. death seemed so peaceful at that moment. but if the murder lord taught them one thing is that they should at least have pride in their survival. took a good year for things to return to a good swing of actual peace and cuddles…but now they actively beg him to snuggle to chase away the nightmares.

simeon : amos is half convinced his “fall” was their fault (in a way it was), and half convinced it was rather inevitable. we know what that false face is hiding… they love his beef with diavolo and will NOT hesitate to make it worse for the giggles.

solomon : there’s something too alluring to calling someone so mysterious and elusive “master”, it’s swoon worthy, honestly.

luke : amos has never been good with kids, let alone immortal ones that had too high of an opinion on deities but once liked wiggled his way into their arms with a promise of being their guardian angel, well who were they to deny him anything but?

diavolo : pre nightbringer, definitely close and snuggly, they anticipated his confession but didn’t expect the demon prince himself to be so shy about it. but POST nightbringer especially after all the recent stuff? yeah…suspicions are rising and they’ve become more bitey.

barbatos : if they had the option of using that night dagger on him, there would’ve been quite the lack of hesitation, but at least they would’ve ended him with a kiss. they like him, but it’s not like he’s done anything to particularly show he does things out of the betterment of them.

raphael : the bards certainly weren’t lying when they said seraphs sing so sweetly ♪(´ε｀ ) personal vinyl record that they’ll come repeat by pestering him like a woodpecker.

mephistopheles : condescending bitch, soon as he introduced himself with a mark of status and sneer at their species, amos could’ve felt their bones rattle and eye twitch. but honestly, who were they exactly to judge such a fact?

I totally get where you're coming from with wanting to branch out beyond Mario when it comes to the focus of your blog. Go for it. Even though I've been in such a Mario rabbit hole for the past year, I have quite a few other special interests that I cycle back to to keep from going insane. Yeah, change had very much become a necessity for me. 🤒 Not because I no longer enjoyed the franchise or making art of the characters, but because I was going about it the wrong way. Pushing myself to "produce content" instead of spontaneously creating just for fun, basically. It's unsettling how subtly that shift can occur over time, and in an even more troubling way, it can also be quite difficult to undo. 😣

Ultimately, the big switch for me was not so much in terms of fandom, but moreso in the way I view my work and approach things online. I can now create concepts without rush or feeling the urge to make them known, and it's a very soothing feeling. The best thing I've felt in a long time as an artist to be honest. 💫

I'm so grateful for you guys' support, biggest thanks to all of you for the kindness and enthusiasm you've shown towards me since my return. 🥹💖 I'll be very happy to discuss these new things with whoever is also interested in them. ^o^
