{Request: I have a request! Aemond is send across the narrow sea to be the sworn sword/knight of a (verryy beautiful) princess from a noble house is esso’s. As punishment what he did to lucerys Thanks for reading dear 💙}
To say that Prince Aemond was grumpy was an euphemism.
He was rigid, stoic, and rude.
But your father loved him.
You couldn’t understand why, not after his most recent kill: his little nephew.
You remembered meeting Luke Velaryon once, he was a nice, gentle, kind boy.
His brother Jace was just the same.
Princess Rhaenyra had been invited as a guest at your father’s name day feast with her family, and you remembered spending a nice afternoon with her sons.
You actually kept contact with her youngest child, Jace. You two sometimes sent letters to each other, talking of your days apart.
You would have never said it outloud, but you had a weakness for the boy’s dark, beautiful hair.
But he was promised to her cousin Baela.
As soon as you heard the news, you thought he would have stopped sending you letters, but he didn't, and you almost cried of joy when the next letter came.
Then, your father sided with the greens.
He sided with rude, dangerous people, and named the worst of them as your sworn sword.
When he told you about his choice you begged him, you cried, you did everything you could to try to change his mind but it was all to no avail.
Now, all the other Ladies never sat with you, they were afraid to speak with you, all because of some dark, evil, scary person standing behind you, following every step you took.
It was so obvious how much he hated being a night, yet, he stood his role perfectly.
Aemond was always there, lurking like a shadow behind you, his presence cold and heavy, suffocating your every breath. He never spoke to you unless necessary, never showed any warmth or softness in his voice. There was nothing but formality and distance, a thick wall of indifference that made your skin crawl whenever he was near.
To be fair, the only thing you thought interesting of him was his dragon Vaghar.
Your days had become a game of silence, your once carefree nature now replaced with the constant awareness of his eyes on you. You missed the days when you could write to Jace without a worry, when his words brought you comfort and a glimpse of hope. Now, the letters felt like a secret rebellion, something dangerous, but you couldn’t give them up. They were the only link to a world that still held some warmth.
You still wrote to him, though your letters had become shorter, more cautious. You dared not mention Aemond, or your isolation. Instead, you spoke of mundane things, of books you were reading, of the changing seasons. Jace’s responses, too, had shifted, though he remained kind and attentive. There was always a note of tension, a hint of restraint. You knew he was aware of the shifting tides, of your father's allegiance to the Greens.
You happily walked in your room, smiling as you held the newest letter on your hand from Jace.
Aemond was walking right behind you, but you couldn’t care.
Jace's letter had just come.
You chuckled to yourself as you closed the door of your room behind you, leaving Aemond outside, guarding your door.
You jogged to your desk, sitting down on the chair and breaking the sigil, opening with trembling hands the letter.
There were only a few lines written.
You furrowed your brows, confused. He usually wrote at least one page.
Dearest friend,
I assume you have heard of my family’s recent loss, my sweet brother Luke, gone by the hand of my uncle Aemond.
It saddens me to tell you this, but due to your father’s allegiance and your newest sworn sword, I believe it is time to end our communications.
Jace Velaryon
You felt a pain in your chest.
A deep pain.
You weren’t going to receive any more letters from him.
I believe it is time to end our communications.
You stood up from your desk, leaving the letter to hit the floor as you ran to your bed, laying face down, your arms crossed under your face as you bursted into tears.
You didn’t eat lunch, you didn’t have dinner. You didn’t want to get up from your bed.
Your maids, even one of your closest friends tried to walk past Aemond to check on you, but he was impenetrable, he wouldn’t let anyone in, not if you didn’t want them to.
His behavior left you speechless.
You knew he was loyal, you knew he was one to do his duty, but the way he stood up for you, not letting anyone in just as you asked, left you almost flattered.
The hours dragged on as you laid in your bed, the room dark and suffocating. The weight of Jace's words still lingered, pressing down on your chest. It was as though the last thread connecting you to the warmth of your past had been severed. You felt utterly alone, the castle walls seeming colder, the silence more deafening.
But outside your door, Aemond remained, steadfast and unmoving. His presence felt different now, less like the shadow you despised and more like an unavoidable part of your life. He had become a constant, whether you liked it or not, and now, oddly, that constancy brought a shred of comfort in your moment of loss.
By the time the moon rose high in the sky, you hadn’t moved from your bed, save to cry quietly into your pillow. The pain of Jace's rejection, not just of you but of the friendship you had cherished, was overwhelming. You couldn’t bring yourself to think of anything else, let alone leave your room.
A soft knock echoed through the thick wooden door. At first, you ignored it, thinking it was another maid or friend trying to check on you, Aemond would have taken care of it in a moment. But after a moment, there was another knock, firm yet measured, followed by a voice, calm, collected, and unmistakably Aemond’s.
"You haven't eaten." He said, his tone devoid of his usual coldness, though it was still restrained. You laid still, wondering if you could pretend you hadn’t heard him. But the silence lingered too long, and it was clear he wasn’t going to leave. He was your sworn sword, after all, bound to you, whether you liked it or not.
"I’m not hungry." You muttered into your pillow, your voice muffled and thick with the remnants of tears.
There was a pause, a moment of hesitation, which was unlike him. Then, Aemond spoke again, quieter this time. "It has been hours. You should take something, if only to keep your strength."
His words were filled with disinterest despite the meaning of them. He made impossible things possible.
"I don’t want anything." You repeated, more firmly this time.
The door opened with a loud creek, and Aemond just walked inside. You scoffed, annoyed, but you felt too sad to think about him pissing you off.
“Leave me alone!” You groaned on the mattress, clenching your hands into fists. You could hear him moving in the room.
“That puppy of my nephew is what has reduced you in this state?” He asked, scoffing. You turned your head to look at him, and you saw him looking down at a letter in his hands.
Jace’s letter.
You bolted upright on the bed, fury boiling inside you at the sight of Aemond holding Jace’s letter. His tall, imposing figure seemed even more oppressive in the dim light of your room. His one good eye flicked over the page with a mixture of disdain and cold amusement, while the sapphire in his other socket glinted in the low light.
"Give that back!" you demanded, your voice cracking from the tears and frustration, but Aemond made no move to return the letter. He dropped the letter, letting out another scoff.
“You’re a fool.” He said, his rudeness making you red to your ear.
“How dare you talk to me like that?” You exclaimed, indignited.
“He’s a bastard. You’re sweet on a bastard, the son of my whore sister. That’s foolish.”
You felt your blood boil at his words, each syllable a sharp jab to your heart. “You don’t know anything about me! You think you can judge me just because you think you're so much better than everyone else!?”
He stepped closer, towering over you, his expression a mixture of contempt and something unreadable. “I am better than everyone else. I’m surely better than that boy who has no right on the throne he wants to claim so much.”
Your anger flared, but underneath it was a deep sorrow. “He’s more than just a name or a title! Jace has been kind to me, and you—” you pointed an accusing finger at him, “you are the one who brings darkness wherever you go.”
Aemond’s eye narrowed, the air crackling with tension. “Kindness won’t save you, and neither will that bastard. This world isn’t built on sentiment. It’s built on strength and blood.”
“Strength?” you spat, incredulous. “Strength that comes from killing boys? That’s your idea of strength?”
He looked unfazed, his expression hardening. “Luke was weak. That’s why he’s dead.”
“You’re twisted.” You hissed. “It brings you pleasure, doesn’t it? Being feared, see people looking away from you –” He pushed you back before you could continue, as he started pulling off the upper structure of his armor.
You stumbled back as you looked up at him, confused and stunned, but he pushed you back again as he took off the lower part of his armor, making you fall back on your bed.
“You want to know what brings me pleasure?” He grabbed your ankle, dragging you down the bed until your butt was almost over it. He pushed the skirts of your dress up, exposing your legs.
“What do you think you’re doing?” You tried to close your legs, or pull down the skirts, but he raised your legs up, then he leaned down to grab both your thighs, spreading them apart, pressing his face against your underwear.
“This.” He mumbled against the thin clothing, his nose pressing against a funny spot against you, that made a strange sound come out of your mouth. “This brings me pleasure.” He growled as he pulled down your underwear along with the stockings. “Teaching stupid ladies their places.” He said as he dived his face back between your thighs, now his mouth pressing on that same spot, sucking and rubbing with his tongue, leaving you breathless for a moment, the pleasure was so high and so good you couldn’t speak.
You couldn’t see him, your skirts were covering the view, but you didn’t really care. Not when it felt this good.
You didn’t think you'd ever felt this good.
The one who was making you feel good, was a Targaryen Prince, a child murdered, the rider of the largest dragon in the world.
You could only squirm, your mind numbed by the pleasure, slowly overcoming all the alarms your brain was sending you, telling you to push the prince away, to not let him touch you in such an appropriate manner.
But then, all so suddenly it stopped, leaving you panting heavily. You saw Aemond raising his head from between your legs, coming into your field of vision.
His chin was wet, his only eye almost completely black as he looked down at you.
His hands moved on your skin, almost gently, caressing your skin as they moved up, your knees, your ankles. He wrapped his fingers around your ankles, securing your legs raised, your feet by each side of his head.
You should have stopped him.
This was improper, it was a sin. A sin you were committing with the worst man in the Seven Kingdoms.
You wanted to move, kick him back, telling him to stop touching you with his filthy, blood-stained hands, but under the dark gaze of his single eye you couldn’t move.
Aemond tightened the grip on your ankles, suddenly pulling you up so your hips lifted from the mattress. Startled, you let out a weak squeak, gripping the sheets tightly as your body moved forward, the back of your thighs landing harshly against him, your core rubbing against a protuberance on his pants, the impact sending another jolt of pleasure through your body.
“Yeah, you like it.” He hummed to himself as he dropped you back on the mattress. He leaned down, his body making space for himself between your legs as his face came to hover yours. “And you want to feel it more, don't you?” He smirked, looking down at you.
You could feel your face burning because of his words, more likely because of the truthfulness of them, because yes, you wanted to feel it again.
“No-” You mumbled as you looked up at him, directly in his eye, trying to sound firm, but he simply chuckled, grabbing your face with his hand, his fingers digging in the soft skin of your cheeks. “Such a liar. No wonder why my sweet bastard-nephew doesn’t want you.”
That stang.
Your eyes immediately filled with tears and anger.
“How dare you?” You hissed as you tried to push him off of you, slapping his chest repeatedly, but he only smiled even more.
“There, there…” He hummed as his hand went back underneath your dress, finding you private again. No matter how much you fought, his body was keeping your legs apart, and he seemed impossible to move.
You only stopped when you felt a strange feeling, something filling you in a way you’ve never felt, that made you gasp out loud. You unconsciously let out a moan, your back arched instinctively, as your body almost contorted as he started moving his finger inside you.
“So easy to shut you up, mh?” He asked as he followed your face to be able to see every expression you made. “So easy to put into place.” He added then in a low voice.
You gritted your teeth together, trying to find in you the force to push him off, to not give him the satisfaction he was showing with that damn smile of his, but you couldn’t. The only sounds that came out of your mouth were whines or soft moans as his finger moved faster inside you, caressing everywhere inside you, and eliciting a pure bliss of pleasure.
“Jace is a fool for leaving you.” He said as he looked at you, your eyes half closed, your head leaned back, your lips apart. He didn’t even look like he realized he said that, it was like he was talking to himself and accidentally said it outloud. You turned your head to look at him, finding his eyes fixed on you, staring in appreciation. “You’re a rare beauty.” He said, his voice low and rough.
You blinked slowly, the weight of his words sinking in. A warmth spread across your chest, but you weren’t sure if it was the pleasure or the way his gaze lingered on you.
No.
You thought to yourself.
Not him.
Please.
But the way he looked at you, like he was looking at the most beautiful thing in the world was doing something to you. It made your stomach clench, your head dizzier.
You’ve been told countless times by suitors that you were a sight to see, a beauty, but it did nothing if not make you blush or feel appreciated.
With Jace you felt your heart beat so loud you feared it could jump out of your chest.
You too were aware of your beauty, but you never thought of it as a rareness.
But now with Aemond Targaryen, the cold, mean, cruel man, who was doing unspeakable things to you, who looked at you like a Goddess, you truly felt like one.
Aemond’s gaze pierced through you, a silent intensity in his expression that made your breath catch in your throat. You wished you could deny the way his presence and actions were affecting you, wished you could ignore the way his words stirred something deep inside. But the truth was undeniable.
As he slipped his second finger inside your thigh core, you felt it crushing on you. You didn’t know what, but for a moment, you forgot about everything, Jace, the war, Aemond’s sins, your worries, your anger and your sadness, it all vanished by the newfound feeling of ecstasy. You whined louder, making aemond clamp his other hand immediately over your mouth to muffle your sounds as he kept moving your fingers. You looked at him with wide eyes, you didn’t know what had just happened to you, but you wanted to keep feeling it, no matter what cost, you wanted to feel that good again.
He kept pumping his fingers inside you as you saw him starting to move, rub, against your thigh, some hardness pressing and caressing your skin. His brows arched slightly, his eye narrowing slightly as he pressed his hips harder against you, seeking more friction and pressure.
You’ve never seen a man do a face close to that one.
You’ve never seen Aemond make a face like that, and it was beautiful, it was breathtaking, hypnotizing, you felt like watching him all day as he experienced his pleasure.
He didn’t miss the way you seemed affected, obviously. He looked down at you and found you staring at him, his eye darkened even more, his pupil dilating even more if possible as he clenched his jaw.
“You like this?” He looked down at you, moving his hand from your mouth to your neck, gripping it tightly, but not enough to actually cut your air off. You tilted your head back, wrapping your hands on his wrist and arm, gasping as he slipped his fingers out, passing them over your pearl just to see you squirm, his lips moving into a smirk. “No.” He said as he sat up in his haunches between your legs, forcing you to spread them to make room for his body as he started to undo his pants. “You love it.”
You tried to look down, trying to understand what he was doing but he squeezed your throat into a warning, keeping your head in place. “What are you trying to see, uh?” He growled as he pushed his pants down enough to let his cock spring free. “Such a curious menace, always getting into trouble.” He hissed as he leaned over her to look at you from above. “Always sneaking around, making my life harder.” He gritted his teeth. “Making me chase you.” He raised her skirts to your waist as he aligned his cock to your core, wet and warm, hot.
“No – “ You mumbled as you felt the tip pressing on your skin. “Y-you can’t- We’re not married-” You mumbled as you panted, shaking your head. Aemond smiled down at you, his thumb caressing the skin of her neck.
“No one will notice.” He said firmly, pushing slightly, making his tip grace the inside your core, just slightly, enough to hear another moan from you. “Just…” He groaned as he repeated the movement, moving his hips forward as his face contorted in pleasure. “... the tip – Fuck –” He groaned as he started moving his hips, the tip of his cock was being sucked in every time by your cunt, as if it was trying to keep him inside.
It didn’t feel bad.
She did feel like her cunt was being torn apart, but she found the pain mixed to the pleasure extremely pleasing.
It was good.
It was so good.
The pleasure was so overwhelming, so strong, so blissful.
“A-Aemond – “ You bit your lower lip as you arched your back, jerking your hips to find more pleasure as his tip kept slipping out and back in.
Aemond couldn’t tear his eyes off the sight, your core making a wet sound every time he slipped in, your walls forced open to make space for his thick cock, his red tip being welcomed in the warmness of your body, and then the sound of your weak wail every time he pulled back, only enough to be able to push back in.
“Yeah like that –” He growled as he tightened his hand around your neck, his eye still fixed on how your bodies connected, his thrusts regular, calculated and hard.
He was hanging by a thread, and he was showing a great amount of control, just by not slamming his whole long cock inside you, and making you scream in pain and pleasure.
“Grind yourself like a whore –” He snarled as he started rolling his hips faster, the wet sound growing louder along with his pace. “Fuck youre so tight – You’re squeezing me inside - ”
It didn’t bother you the way he called you, the way he spoke. If not, it only aroused you more.
You bit your lower lip harder, and no matter how low you tried to keep your noises, it became impossible as Aemond moved his free hand, using his fingers to circle your pearl, putting just the right amount of pressure. Your back arched violently as you threw your head back, your mouth open in an oval shape, grunts and moans coming out one after another as Aemond tightened his hand around your throat, starting to cut some of your air supplies, your eyes rolled in the back of your head.
It was all so much.
It was all so good.
“Come.” He growled as he finally looked up at you. “Come, before I lose it.” His eye fixed on yours. He looked feral. He looked like a chained animal, that once set free, would have hunted and killed everything in its path. “Come, before absolutely ruin you.”
It wasn’t like you had any control over it, because when the pleasure reached you in such a hard, strong frisson, you could only surrender to it. Your eyes widened, your mouth opened, but Aemond tightened his hand on your throat even more, killing every sound you could have let out. Your eyes watered as your hips jerked, the pleasure washing over you in devastating waves.
He snarled, letting go of your throat, but you barely had the time to take a deep breathe because you felt a stinging pain, barely muffled by the aftershocks of you climax, as Aemond grabbed tightly your hips and harshly pulled to him, making you slip down on the bed and making his cock thrust completely inside you, as he moaned on top of you.
“So fucking tight.” His voice was strained, his breathing heavy, then, you felt a strange sensation of wetness inside you.
You whined as the bliss of pleasure slowly faded away, leaving you in an uncomfortable pain, so you pushed Aemond away, who retrieved with a groan, slipping out of you.
You slowly sat up, looking at him as your mind slowly registered the last moments.
Aemond stood up from the bed, tucking himself inside his pants and starting to put his armor back on.
You didn’t say anything in the meanwhile, you just stared down at the bed covers, where you and Aemond were laying till a few seconds before, committing one of the worst sins ever.
A sin that felt so good.
You snapped out of your moment of trance only when you heard the door slam shut, and a strange smell of burned paper in the air. You moved to the end of the bed, on the floor, there was a piece of paper on fire.
Jace’s letter.

ᯓ★ SHOTARO
"You're completely useless."
You never thought you would hear such harsh and painful words coming from Shotaro. Though you tried to say something, the words wouldn’t come out as a lump formed in your throat. Shotaro's expression changed instantly, filled with regret for what he had said. Without hesitation, he moved closer and wrapped his arms around you, apologizing repeatedly. You stood still, still processing what you had heard.
"Forget what I said, please. I don’t think that at all, Y/n," he said, holding your arms and looking at you, his lips trembling slightly as he spoke. "Please, please forgive me... I don't want you to hate me. I was so stupid to say that... You know how much I need you in my life."
ᯓ★ EUNSEOK
"You're pathetic."
Those words hurt more than anything else in the conversation. With nothing left to say, you stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind you. Eunseok instantly felt bad, sitting down on the bed with his head in his hands, replaying the words in his head and regretting them deeply. You spent the night on the couch, not wanting to be near him.
The next morning, he came to you, sitting beside you on the couch and trying to take your hand, but you pulled it away, glaring at him. "I know I can’t take back what I said, but I want you to know I deeply regret it," he said after a pause. "I was frustrated, and I took it out on you, but I love everything about you. Please forgive me."
ᯓ★ SUNGCHAN
"I don’t even care about you anymore."
You had been arguing the entire drive home, but his words left you in stunned silence. Realizing what he had said, Sungchan glanced at you with regret, his grip on the steering wheel tightening.
"Y/n, I didn’t mean to…"
"Stop the car," you demanded coldly, and Sungchan obeyed immediately. You quickly got out, not wanting to be around him after his hurtful words. Sungchan, panicking, found a place to park and hurried out to follow you, not wanting you to walk alone at night.
"Baby, wait. I don’t know why I said that. I’m so sorry," he admitted, catching up and standing in front of you so you’d look at him. "It’s not true. You’re the most important person in my life. I just… I’m scared of losing you, and I was angry, and… and I’m stupid. Can you forgive me?"
ᯓ★ WONBIN
"You're the reason nothing ever works out for me."
Wonbin's words left you speechless, staring at him silently as a lump formed in your throat. The argument had started over something trivial, so you never expected to hear such harsh words from him. Realizing what he had just said, his face softened almost immediately, regret flashing in his eyes, but you were already leaving the room.
Less than five minutes later, Wonbin found you sitting on the couch. He slowly approached, his head hanging low. "Y/n, I... I didn’t mean that. I was really angry… Can I sit?" he murmured, and without looking at him, you nodded. "I deeply regret what I said. I want you to know that you're not the reason for anything bad in my life. In fact, you're the best thing I have right now," he said, taking your hand as he searched for your gaze. "Please forgive me, I didn’t mean it."
ᯓ★ SEUNGHAN
"I was happier before I met you."
The moment you heard Seunghan say those words, you felt your heart shatter. You both stood there, staring at each other. Your eyes filled with tears, while his were full of regret. After a few seconds, you lowered your head, and Seunghan quickly moved toward you, grabbing your hand, which you instantly pulled away.
"I didn’t mean that, Y/n. Oh my god, I’m so sorry," Seunghan ran a hand through his hair, shocked at what he had said, feeling horrible about how much he had hurt you. "I love you so much. You’re the happiest thing that’s ever happened to me. Please, forgive everything I said. I’m so sorry."
ᯓ★ SOHEE
"No one else would ever want you."
Sohee had never said anything so hurtful to you before. Even though you had fought before, you’d never reached the point of saying things that would hurt each other. Your eyes welled up with tears, but you didn’t want Sohee to see you cry, so you quickly left his apartment, heading to a nearby park to cry alone.
You spent an hour by yourself, lost in your thoughts, until you noticed someone sit beside you, handing you a bouquet of your favorite flowers. You looked at him, your eyes swollen. Sohee felt immediate regret the moment those words left his mouth. "That was the most unfair thing I’ve ever said. I’m so sorry... Can you forgive me?" There was a moment of silence before he spoke again. "Anyone who knows you will see how amazing you are and be lucky to have you. It’s just… I’m scared of losing you."
ᯓ★ ANTON
"I wish I’d never met you."
The moment Anton said those words, the room went silent. You stared at him in disbelief, not able to process what he had just said so coldly. Immediately, Anton tried to reach for your arm, but you stepped away from him, looking at him with shock and disbelief.
"I… I don’t wish that," he whispered, his voice trembling slightly as he looked at you, his eyes beginning to fill with tears. He tried to move closer to you. "It’s stupid what I said. It’s the worst thing I could have said, and I’m so sorry… I hate myself for it."
You watched as Anton lowered his head, tears slipping down his cheeks as he sat on the edge of the bed. "Please don’t hate me for that… Don’t leave me, please."

Request: alien x orc x human with human reader and NSFW please. Something with some angst and fluff mixed in.
A/N: Sorry for all the "alien boyfriend" and "orc boyfriend", brain wasn't braining today. This has a fair amount of hurt/comfort, enjoy!
Intergalactic idiots
Alien x orc x fem!reader | angst with happy ending, body worship, oral sex
You are anxiously waiting next to the ER door when your orc boyfriend walks in with the saddest face you’ve ever seen. “What is it?” You ask immediately, knowing well that for him to be alone, for him to have called for you to be at the hospital when they arrived… something must be very, very wrong.
“There was an accident,” he announced, looking at the floor. And your alien boyfriend is nowhere to be found, so it must be something bad with him. Something happened and your heart is beating fast and hard, making you want to scream.
“What? What happened? Where is he? Is he hurt?” You ask in a quick succession, feeling like the weight of the world falling over you at the thought of losing him. Losing either of them, but right now you can’t process the fact that he could have been hurt, too. You can only process the fact that your alien boyfriend is not there, and that means he’s been hurt.
He sighs heavily and lets out a teary: “He- He got shot.” As soon as the words leave his mouth your tears are running down your face.
“You promised! You promised you would take care of him!” You scream at him, you are hitting his chest with your fists, not really hurting him but needing to let out your frustration and pain.
He cries, too, his body sagging as he lets you hit him. “I- I know. I’m sorry. I failed you. I failed both of you.” If you were in another moment of your life, if your anxiety wasn’t so high, you could have said something, that it wasn’t his fault, that he had nothing to worry about and you were glad he was okay… But you didn’t. You couldn’t.
You could only imagine the worst and your body froze in place as you ask: “Can- can I see him?”
“Not yet, darling, the doctors are working on him,” his voice soft and placating, but you don’t want to hear it. You don’t want to hear him talk at all, your brain wants to blame someone and he’s there. He was there when your alien boyfriend got shot…
You don’t even realize how his hands are bloody and his face is stained with tears. You don’t realize his hands are trembling and his body is scratched in a thousand places. You sit there in silence and don’t accept his hand when he offers comfort. You two fall silent, sitting next to each other but barely moving as the time ticks.
Time passes, you don’t know how much, but when a naga doctor appears, you are on your feet and walking to her instantly. Your orc boyfriend follows, but you don’t mind anything at all, you only need to know he’s alright. “Is he okay?”
And she says the most precious words: “He will be.”
It takes a whole week for your alien boyfriend to be back home. An awful week where you don’t talk to your orc boyfriend, you barely see him at all. You don’t sleep together, you don’t go together to the hospital at all, and when your alien gets back home, you two walk awkwardly around each other until he gets tired of your shit.
You are organizing the wardrobe when your orc boyfriend walks in and you don’t say anything. Your alien boyfriend realizes instantly: “What is it between you two? You barely spend time in the same room, you are not touching each other. Or me for the matter,” he adds the last part just as a joke, but you flinch at his words.
You let out in a short breath, your heart beating fast as everything that has happened comes crashing into you. You feel bad, you feel so bad, but you don’t know how to fix it. You acted like a really bad girlfriend, you were shitty to him, and you don’t know what to do about it. And now your alien wants to talk about it and you can’t avoid it anymore.
“We… We are okay,” you let out, the lie tasting like ashes in your mouth. Your orc boyfriend is looking at you with a pained expression, and you swallow around the knot in your throat.
Your alien boyfriend sits on the bed and calls you out: “Bullshit. What happened?” He asks, looking between you two.
“I failed you,” your orc boyfriend says and your heart hurts for him, you want to go to him and hug him until the pain goes away, but… but you don’t know if he would welcome that, and it hurts more than it should.
Your alien boyfriend looks shocked. “You what? No, you didn’t. You think you did?” He points at your orc and he shrugs, and then points at you. “And you think he did?” You shrug, not wanting to answer, either. “You are both stupid as fuck. Come here,” he orders.
“But the wounds…” You try to argue with him, but he looks at you with those eyes that drive you in instantly, making you shiver.
“Come. Here.” He repeats. Both of you obey, walking to him like he’s pulling invisible strings.
You sit next to him, your orc boyfriend sits on the other side, and you both look at him expectantly. “You are the glue that keeps us together, you know that,” your orc boyfriend finally says.
“No, I’m not. What keeps us together is how much we love each other, and the fact that you two have been walking around eggshells around me and each other because of something neither of us is at fault in is incredibly stupid.” You two remain silent, knowing ful well he’s right. Your eyes are full of tears and you feel about to burst into sobs, but the comforting presence of your boyfriends keeps you controlled. For about two seconds before he says: “And what’s even worse, you two haven’t been touching my dick or your own parts and it shows.” You laugh between your tears, feeling the knot in your throat slowly dissolving as you hit his arm without any strength. “Ouch! Hitting the wounded alien, what a mean human we have here…” He jokes more, making your tears run free within your laughter. “Oh sweetie, don’t cry…” He lets out, his tone going soft.
And then your orc boyfriend is looking at you with a panicked expression. “Don’t cry, darling, please, you know it drives me insane to see you cry…” You know it does, he gets crazy and panics every time you cry because he doesn’t know what to do, how to act, tears really scare him.
“I’m sorry,” you choke out, trying to sniffle and making the most awful sound as you start to sob uncontrollably.
“Shit,” they both say at the same time, their arms coming around your body and getting you in an alien-orc sandwich. You cry more while they hug you tightly between them.
“I thought you were going to die,” you sob. “I was so worried.”
Your alien boyfriend kisses your forehead. “I know, sweetie, I know… But I’m okay. I swear.” He looks over your shoulder and orders to your orc boyfriend: “Tell her I’m going to be okay.”
“I- He… I-” He starts but can’t finish the sentence, a single tear running down his face and making your heart squeeze painfully again, another ugly sob escaping.
“You too?” The alien says, exasperated.
“I was worried, too, you asshole! I saw you bleed, I held my hands to your bleeding form as you passed out. I was scared shitless that you were going to die and it would be my fault.” You listen as he explains and you feel like the worst asshole in the world. He suffered, too. He was worried, too. And you acted like a jackass and made it even worse for him. And for you. You denied yourself of the comfort you thought you didn’t deserve and hurt him in the process. What a shitty girlfriend.
“It wasn’t your fault. It wasn’t nobody’s fault.” Your alien boyfriend explains, now rubbing his hands in both of your backs, trying to calm you down. “Now come on, kiss each other and say you are sorry for being stupid,” he jokes. “It’s not a suggestion.”
“I’m sorry,” you both say at the same time, a teary giggle escaping from your mouths as you kiss each other sweetly.
But it soon becomes frantic and passionate. For someone used to kiss and fuck every day, spending more than a week without any kind of action has been a pain for all of you, and it shows. You hate that your alien boyfriend was right. He’s going to be insufferable about it, you can already tell.
You break apart and look at him, lying there with a hand inside his pants, rubbing up and down. “You are a pervert,” you joke, licking your lips and looking at his covered erection.
“Oh, I know… And you are, too.” You blush, looking down because you know he’s right. “Now, are we going to fuck or what?” He let out bluntly.
You look at him, and think about the literal hole in his side that is still healing. “But you are wounded.”
“My dick works fine,” he says, lowering his pants enough to show you his pretty white dick, already glistening with precum.
You think about it, you want to tell him no, you can’t have sex, but you feel desperate. You feel needy, you need to touch them and be reminded they are okay. They are alive. And so are you. “You… You can’t move,” you finally said. It should be okay if he doesn’t move, right?
“I can’t?” He says, looking at you with a puzzled expression.
You both say in unison: “No.”
You lean against your orc’s chest and whisper against his ear: “Should we tie him down?” He nods. “You take the balls and I take the dick?” You add, bemusedly. He pulls back and nods, a big smile framed by his tusks. You lean down and kiss him until you are breathless.
“That’s not fair, you are forgetting about me.” You look at him and he’s pouting, his big black eyes looking into your soul with a glint of arousal mixed with some desperation. You shiver, but say nothing as you take your orc’s belt and tie it around your alien’s hands and the headboard, immobilizing him. “And you say I’m the kinky one?” He asks between laughs as he tries to move his hands and realizes you tied it more securely than he expected. You start unbuttoning his sleep shirt as he struggles, your orc boyfriend taking his pants off slowly. “Wait, I’m going to be the only one naked here?” He asks, still trying to break free and earning himself an annoyed look as you both stop what you are doing to look at him.
“Yes,” you say at the same time.
He stops struggling and looks between you two, frowning without eyebrows, which makes him look kinda funny. “That’s not fai-” He doesn’t get to say anything else before your orc boyfriend wraps his lips around the tip of his alien dick.
He breaks into a big moan as you start kissing your way down his torso, being very careful about his side wound. You kiss the edges of the bandage around it and keep going down, your tongue tracing the ridges of his torso as he shivers. You keep going down, not forgetting to kiss even an inch of his beautiful torso until you are face to face with your orc. He has his lips wrapped around the tip of your alien’s dick, not even doing much, just sucking like he’s a lollipop he’s enjoying. You ignored the struggle before, but hearing your alien whimpering and groaning as if he’s being tortured turns you on so much you can’t stop from slipping a hand inside your panties.
Your orc boyfriend realizes first: “Don’t you dare touch that pussy, that’s mine to please,” he growls, pulling back from the dick he was sucking. You smile at him cheekily and peck on his lips, rapidly ignoring him in favor of taking his place.
He grumbles something and you feel his hand slipping next to yours as he goes down and takes the alien balls in his mouth, rolling them around messily. You can only hear his filthy sounds and your alien’s whimpers. Soon, you are groaning around his shaft too, the orc’s dexterous fingers rubbing your clit in the most amazing way possible and making your brain go blank for a second, your groans joining the symphony of sex in the room.
“I’m about… I’m gonna…” You hear the warning over your head before you feel his dick opening and the little tentacles holding your face down as he comes in your mouth.
The first time was a surprise, but you’ve come to love when his weird dicks does alien things, it’s exhilarating to know he can hold you down in more than one way. But at that moment, as he releases inside your mouth and you keep sucking, your tongue lapping at him as your orc boyfriend sucks his balls like they are his favorite candy, you feel hotter than ever, your pussy so wet around the orc’s fingers you are two thrusts away from exploding.
And then you feel it, the flicker of your orc’s finger against your clit and the burning sensation in your lower abdomen as the orgasm takes you by surprise, your mouth occupied as you groan around alien dick and fall apart around orc fingers. Your brain short circuits for a second, ad your vision blacks and you can’t have any coherent thoughts as your orgasms takes over your body and brain. It never ceases to amaze you how great the sex has been since you three started dating, who would have thought thruple sex would be the best of your life?
When you come down from your orgasm and the alien dick-tacles (dick-tentacles you know) in your mouth finally release you, you fall flat against the mattress as your orc boyfriend laughs over you both for being fucked out and boneless. “Are we good now?” He asks.
“What? No!” Your alien exclaims, surprising you. You look at him with a question in your eyes. “He hasn’t come yet,” he explains, looking at your orc with a smirk on his face. He blushes in the prettiest shade of green and you want nothing more but to maul him… sexually.
“I can fix that,” you say, throwing yourself at him and trusting he would catch you. He does, and you kiss him senseless, your hand reaching for his erection.
You hear some struggling and then your alien is pouting again. “Is nobody going to untie me?” He says in the most whiny tone ever.
You two break apart and look at him with a smile as you say in unison: “No,” and laugh loudly. He grumbles some more as you two kiss again, your hand rubbing his erection.
“I regret forcing you to solve your communication problems,” he lets out grumpily. But you know it’s a lie. He’s smiling big as he struggles against the restrains and you jerk your orc’s boyfriend and he watches.
Everything would be alright.

Royal Scandal- Ruggie Bucchi x reader
You're being forced to marry someone to take the throne you've fought your entire life for. Okay, if that's how it is, you'll make sure to choose the one person here that your dearest parents will disapprove of the most.
I really like how this one turned out!
Tumblr media
The ballroom was resplendent, filled with swirling silks, dazzling jewels, and a sea of royals from every corner of the world. It was your nightmare, distilled into one room. You stood at the head of the grand staircase, glaring down at the crowd, feeling utterly betrayed by your parents.
You—the crown heir, a skilled warrior, a tactical genius, and the pride of your kingdom—reduced to nothing more than a prize in a political matchmaking game. It was an insult.
“Really?” you muttered to yourself, grip tightening on the bannister. “They think they can push me into marriage to take the throne? They’ll regret this.”
From across the room, the usual parade of suitors hovered about, each one vying for a moment of your attention. They were all here to win your hand, though it was clear many of them weren’t here for you. The throne, the kingdom, the alliances—it was all just a game of power to them.
And then there was him. The only non-royal standing awkwardly by the hors d'oeuvres table. Ruggie Bucchi.
Ruggie was here because of Leona, and Leona was here because Falena had pawned off the responsibility of attending this ridiculous event onto his younger brother. But as usual, Leona wasn’t particularly interested in mingling with anyone. He had quickly made his way to the most comfortable couch in the room, leaving his attendant Ruggie to do all the heavy lifting—literally. Ruggie was managing Leona’s food, drinks, and handling the other guests with a sharp smile that concealed just how little he wanted to be here.
Leona had been an unexpected ally ever since your diplomatic trip to the Savannah, where your banter had somehow sparked an unlikely friendship. Leona, for all his royal airs, had grown fond of teasing you relentlessly, and the two of you exchanged jabs every chance you got.
You've met Ruggie before, during the visit. You knew of his circumstances and a wonderful plan was brewing inside you at this moment.
Ruggie wasn’t a suitor. He wasn’t even remotely interested in this ball. And yet…
A grin began to spread across your face.
Oh, this could work.
Tumblr media
The next morning, the grand hall was packed with suitors, ministers, and your parents, all eagerly awaiting your declaration. The tension in the air was thick enough to cut with a sword.
“Today,” your father began with his booming voice, “our heir will announce their chosen partner. We know that this decision will aid in the prosperity of our kingdom.”
Your mother nodded, casting you a pointed look, as if to remind you of the importance of this moment. Oh, if only she knew what was coming.
You stepped forward, scanning the room with a serene smile. Your heart raced with excitement as you looked past all the anxious, hopeful suitors. Finally, your gaze landed on Ruggie, who stood in the corner, shoving the last of a sandwich into his mouth. He caught your eye, freezing mid-chew.
You raised a hand, pointing directly at him. “I have chosen Ruggie Bucchi.”
There was a deafening beat of silence before your declaration actually registered.
Your parents’ smiles froze, the air in the room turning cold. The ministers paled, their gazes snapping toward Ruggie, who was standing in the back, his next sandwich halfway to his mouth. He blinked, looking over his shoulder like you couldn’t possibly mean him. Maybe there was a “Ruggie Bucchi” that he didn’t know about?
But the world stopped when it hit that yes, you did mean that Ruggie Bucchi—the hyena from the slums of the Sunset Savanna who had no royal blood, no land to offer, no armies. Just a cunning smile and a love for free food.
Leona, sitting lazily on the side, blinked at you before letting out a sudden burst of laughter, the sound echoing through the hall. His usual smirk widened into something truly wicked as he turned to your parents with a shrug. “Well, what did you expect? You did say they could choose anyone in the room, didn’t you?”
Your parents were speechless, their faces a mix of horror and disbelief. Your mother looked like she might faint, and your father sputtered, glancing between you and Ruggie, who still hadn’t moved from his spot at the back of the room. He slowly lowered the sandwich, looking very much like he was rethinking every life choice he had ever made.
Leona, never one to miss an opportunity for chaos, leaned back in his chair and grinned even wider. “It would be a shame if you went back on your word now. After all, it was very clear—whoever they chose, right? I’m sure the esteemed royals wouldn’t go back on a promise they made to their only heir in front of all these witnesses.”
Your father’s mouth opened and closed, his face rapidly turning a shade of purple as he tried to find words that wouldn’t cause a diplomatic disaster. Your mother’s eyes darted around the room, probably searching for an escape route. Meanwhile, the ministers exchanged horrified glances, clearly trying to figure out how to spin this in a way that wouldn’t end in utter embarrassment.
Leona, of course, wasn’t done yet. “You know,” he added, casually inspecting his nails, “a promise is a promise. And from where I’m sitting, it looks like Ruggie here’s your new royal consort.” His eyes sparkled with mirth, clearly loving every second of the madness you'd just incited. “After all, we wouldn’t want to insult the future ruler’s decision, right?”
You could practically see your parents’ souls leaving their bodies.
Ruggie, to his credit, finally stopped gaping like a fish and straightened up, wiping crumbs from his vest and putting on a cocky grin, like he had totally planned for this from the start. “Welp, looks like I’m movin’ up in the world,” he said, swaggering forward, though the slight wobble in his step gave away his shock. He shot Leona and you a glance that screamed, Why are you doing this to me? But Leona just gave him a lazy shrug in response, clearly enjoying the show. And you just grinned back at him.
Your mother finally found her voice, though it was shaky at best. “This… this can’t be—”
“Oh, but it can.” your voice cut through the hall, smooth as silk and twice as smug. “You said anyone. Don’t tell me you’re regretting those words now?”
Your father visibly swallowed, realizing the bind he was in. The ministers were sweating bullets, clearly hoping someone else would step in and stop this disaster, but no one dared to speak. After all, it would be political suicide to go against a future ruler’s decision in front of a room full of witnesses.
Ruggie had now reached the front, his grin widening as he gave a quick, exaggerated bow to you, looking for all the world like a cat that had just caught a very large mouse. “Guess I’m your guy now, huh?”
You flashed him a triumphant smile, your eyes sparkling with mischief. “Looks like it.”
Your father, still in a state of shock, muttered something about tradition, but it was too late. The damage was done. You had chosen Ruggie, and with Leona egging on the entire thing, there was no way they could take it back without creating an uproar.
Leona, still lounging like the king of chaos he was, gave you a little salute. “Congrats to the happy couple. Can’t wait to see the wedding.”
Your parents looked like they might faint. The suitors—well, some of them looked relieved to not be part of this train wreck, but others were trying very hard not to burst into outrage. Ruggie just stood there, now fully committed to the bit, his grin as wide as ever.
And so, with your parents begrudgingly forced to accept your choice, the announcement was made. You had successfully thrown the entire royal court into chaos, and judging by the look on your face, this was far from over.
As for Ruggie, well, he was already calculating how much food he could swindle from the wedding feast.
Tumblr media
After the uproar finally died down, and the ministers and royals reluctantly dispersed—each with their own whispers and murmurs of the chaos that had just ensued—you managed to pull Ruggie aside, away from the prying eyes of the court. His expression was still a mix of disbelief and amusement, as though he couldn’t quite wrap his head around what had just happened.
“Well, that was something,” he said, rubbing the back of his neck, a sheepish grin tugging at his lips. “I’ve had some wild gigs before, but to be the royal consort? That’s a new one.”
You couldn’t help but chuckle at his casual tone, even as the situation around you felt anything but. You led him into one of the side corridors, away from the grand hall, before stopping to face him. Ruggie crossed his arms, clearly curious about where this was going. “Alright, spill it. What’s the deal here?”
You took a deep breath, collecting your thoughts. “I know that whole declaration just now was insane, but I had to do something drastic.”
“Yeah, drastic is one way to put it,” he snickered, leaning against the wall, waiting for you to continue.
“I’m the only heir to the throne,” you began, the frustration in your voice evident. “I’ve trained my whole life for this. The swordsmanship, the diplomacy, the studies. I’ve done it all. But my parents—” you trailed off, your voice tight with anger, “—they won’t let me take the throne unless I get married. It’s ridiculous. I don’t need to get married to rule, but they refuse to see that.”
Ruggie tilted his head, his brow furrowing slightly. “So, what? You picked me just to get them off your back?”
“Exactly.” You smiled, but it was more cunning than genuine. “They’re too stuck in their ways to listen to reason, so I decided to make them regret forcing me into this. That’s where you come in.”
His ears twitched in curiosity, though the grin on his face was as sharp as ever. “And what exactly do I get out of this?”
You took a step closer, lowering your voice to ensure no one overheard. “I need you to play along with this marriage for a year. Just a year. By that time, I’ll have stabilized the kingdom, taken the throne officially, and you’ll be free to leave. No strings attached.”
Ruggie’s eyes narrowed as he considered your words. “And what do I get in return?”
“The wealth you’ll get out of this will set you up for life. I’m talking more money than you’ll know what to do with. You’ll never have to worry about another odd job or scrape together food again. After this year, you can go back to the Sunset Savanna, and you’ll have enough to take care of yourself, your community, your grandmother—whoever. You’ll never have to work again.”
Ruggie raised a brow, a flicker of interest in his eyes. He was a practical guy, after all, and if there was one thing that motivated him, it was a good deal. “And all I have to do is pretend to be your royal husband for a year?”
“Yep,” you confirmed with a nod, crossing your arms. “Think of it as the best con of your life. We’ll fake the marriage, play the part for a year, and then when it’s over, you’re free to go with a fortune in your pocket.”
For a moment, Ruggie was silent, his sharp gaze studying you, likely weighing the pros and cons of this insane proposal. “So, you’re basically hiring me to be your fake spouse.”
“Exactly.”
A slow grin spread across his face. “You know, this is probably one of the most ridiculous offers I’ve ever gotten—and I’ve been offered some weird stuff before—but,” he shrugged, “money’s money. And if it means I get to live easy after this, then I’m in.”
You let out a breath you didn’t realize you were holding, relief washing over you. “So, we have a deal?”
Ruggie chuckled, extending his hand to you. “We have a deal. But don’t expect me to go easy on the royal kitchens while I’m here. I’m gonna milk this for all it’s worth.”
You smirked, shaking his hand. “I wouldn’t expect anything less.”
Ruggie’s grin turned mischievous as he added, “And don’t worry. I’ll play the part of the perfect doting husband. We’ll give ‘em a show they’ll never forget.”
With the deal struck, you both walked back into the palace, the weight of the future ahead not lost on you. A fake marriage with Ruggie Bucchi—one year, just one year, and then you’d be free. What could possibly go wrong?
Except, somewhere deep inside, you had a feeling that the real challenge wasn’t in the act itself—it was in not falling for the witty, resourceful hyena at your side.
Tumblr media
Your wedding was the most extravagant affair your kingdom had ever seen. You spared no expense, throwing the grandest celebration imaginable, just to rub it in a little more. Lavish decorations, exotic foods, and a royal procession that stretched for miles.
Ruggie, for his part, looked both delighted and completely out of place as he stood beside you during the ceremony. He leaned over at one point, whispering, “I’ve never been this well-dressed in my life. You sure we’re not overdoing it?”
You grinned, adjusting his ornate cape. “If we’re going to make them suffer, we might as well go all out.”
The priest, an elderly man with a tremble in his voice, stood before the two of you, his wrinkled hands holding the ceremonial scroll. His voice was deep, reverent, and filled with emotion—entirely too much emotion for the farce that was about to unfold.
You felt a little sorry for him, considering that he was the one who taught you the scriptures and history of your nation when you were younger, one of the only people to see you for you instead of the "heir". But you knew the next part was going to be hilarious.
“We gather here today,” the priest began, “to unite these two souls in the eternal bond of marriage.”
You dared a glance at your parents, sitting stiffly at the front row, their faces a mixture of horror and resignation. The ministers were whispering frantically among themselves, occasionally darting their eyes towards you and Ruggie as if hoping this was all a nightmare they’d soon wake up from. The absolute satisfaction you felt seeing them squirm almost made this whole ridiculous charade worth it.
But the best part? Leona. Sitting at the back, his face buried in his hands, his shoulders shaking with the effort to keep from bursting out in laughter. Every now and then, you could hear a muffled snort escape him, and you had to fight the urge to look back at him. One glance, and you’d both be done for.
“And now,” the priest continued, oblivious to the brewing chaos, “the couple will exchange their vows.”
You took a deep breath, turning to face Ruggie. His lips were pressed into a thin line, his shoulders shaking ever so slightly with suppressed laughter. His eyes met yours, and you could see the absolute glee dancing in them. This was going to be ridiculous.
You cleared your throat and began, doing your best to sound as dramatic and sincere as possible. “Ruggie Bucchi, from the moment I saw you,” you paused, a wave of barely-contained laughter bubbling up in your chest, “I knew you were the one destined for me. Your… resourcefulness, your… cunning, your ability to stretch a loaf of bread for days… it all captivated my heart.”
Ruggie’s eyes widened slightly at that, and you saw his lips twitch as he struggled not to laugh. You forged on.
“I vow to cherish every moment we spend together, whether it’s in the royal kitchen, watching you devour a feast meant for ten people, or in the court, where I know you’ll always have some… crafty solution to every problem.” You bit your lip, trying to keep a straight face as you added, “I promise to never let a day go by without admiring your thriftiness.”
You finished with a flourish, and the nuns and priests in the room were openly weeping, clutching their hearts as though your “love” had moved them to tears. It was a struggle to not just burst out laughing at the scene. The more you spoke, the more ridiculous it all felt, and you swore you could hear Leona snickering from the back, not even trying to hide it anymore.
Ruggie cleared his throat, taking his turn, his voice as smooth and exaggerated as possible. “Your Highness,” he began, his tone dripping with mock sincerity. “From the moment you dragged me into this—” he coughed, “I mean, the moment I laid eyes on you, I knew there was something special. You’re not like other royals,” he said, the smirk on his face just barely concealed. “No, you’re so… generous. So thoughtful. Offering me all the wealth I could ever dream of—”
You gave him a small nudge with your elbow, and he winked at you before continuing.
“I vow to stand by your side, no matter how absurd the situation.” His grin widened, his voice growing more theatrical with each word. “I’ll be there when the royal chefs burn your food, when the ministers drive you mad with their endless meetings, and most importantly, I’ll make sure there’s always a way out of any mess you get into—royal or otherwise.”
The priest was dabbing his eyes with a handkerchief, clearly moved beyond words by the display of "eternal love" unfolding before him. The nuns were practically clutching their rosaries, and one of the ministers was furiously scribbling notes, perhaps planning to write a memoir about this "historic" union.
But you could feel Ruggie shaking with barely-contained laughter beside you, and you knew he was struggling just as much as you were.
Leona, meanwhile, was not helping.
“Isn’t this just the most touching thing you’ve ever seen?” Leona called from the back, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he stood up and clapped once, slowly. “I mean, who could have predicted such true love would bloom in the royal court? Makes you wonder why we ever doubted them.”
You glanced at him out of the corner of your eye, and sure enough, Leona’s face was barely composed, his smirk broad as he leaned against the back wall. He mouthed, “Go on, keep it up,” as if he was daring you both to escalate the absurdity.
Ruggie, never one to miss an opportunity, took the challenge.
“And, in return for your endless affection,” Ruggie continued, placing his hand dramatically over his heart, “I swear to be the most diligent husband this kingdom has ever seen. I will work tirelessly—mostly to keep you out of trouble, but also to ensure that you never have to lift a finger. You’ll never have to worry about running out of your precious riches, or losing your crown jewels, because I’ll be there to safeguard every coin.”
He shot you a playful wink before finishing with, “And of course, I’ll always be ready to take off with you when things get a little too… boring around here.”
The priest, overcome with emotion, was full-on sobbing now, while your parents sat pale-faced, probably wondering what cosmic force they had offended to end up in this situation.
The room erupted into applause, and Leona, now clapping with a wide grin, leaned over to one of the younger nobles. “You’ll tell the archivists that the vows were this good, right? Might as well get all the details in there.”
Your parents couldn’t even muster a response. They sat rigidly, eyes flickering from you to Ruggie, to the now entirely tearful congregation. The sight of the priests and nuns weeping, utterly convinced by your "heartfelt" vows, was the icing on the cake. You could almost hear the grinding of your father’s teeth from where you stood, and your mother’s strained smile looked one twitch away from cracking.
By the time the priest finally declared your union, both you and Ruggie were barely keeping it together. The ceremony had transformed into a spectacle of ridiculous proportions, and you weren’t sure if anyone could really tell if the applause was genuine or just out of sheer disbelief.
When the final words of the ceremony were spoken and you were “officially” bound together, Ruggie turned to you with a grin so wide it could only be described as mischievous.
“Well, Your Majesty,” he whispered, loud enough for you alone to hear, “we really pulled it off. But I think I deserve a bonus after that performance.”
You stifled a laugh, giving him a light shove. “Wait until after the banquet. I’ll have them send extra desserts to your room as compensation.”
And with that, the two of you walked down the aisle, the very picture of an odd, unexpected royal match.
Leona gave you both a mock bow from the back as you passed by, still laughing silently to himself as the ministers and nobles exchanged bewildered glances.
Tumblr media
The following weeks were a blur of royal duties, much to Ruggie’s bemusement. He followed you around, trying to figure out how he ended up playing the role of a royal consort.
“So,” Ruggie said one evening as he flopped down onto the couch in your chambers, “I gotta admit, I thought this was gonna be way worse. I mean, I’m not exactly cut out for all this fancy stuff, but the food? The food is incredible.”
You chuckled, sitting beside him. “Well, it’s only for a year. Then you’ll be free, and you’ll never have to deal with this nonsense again.”
Ruggie shot you a grin. “You’re counting down the days already?”
You smirked. “Aren’t you?”
He shrugged, his grin softening. “Honestly? You’re not as bad as I thought. Could’ve ended up with someone way more annoying.”
You rolled your eyes, shoving him playfully. “Gee, thanks.”As the months went on, something strange began to happen. The more time you spent with Ruggie, the more comfortable things felt. Sure, it had started as a deal—a way to get what you wanted—but somewhere along the way, the lines began to blur.
Tumblr media
Ruggie was surprisingly good company. His sharp wit and laid-back attitude were a refreshing change from the stiff, formal interactions you were used to with the other royals. He was resourceful, quick-thinking, and even though he constantly complained about the pomp and ceremony of royal life, he never once let you down.
Then there was the way he treated you. Not as a royal, not as some prized heir—but as you. He teased you, made you laugh, and shared stories about his home and his grandma with such affection that it warmed your heart.
Speaking of his grandma, the first time you visited her, she welcomed you with open arms. She was sharp-tongued and quick-witted, much like her grandson, and the two of you hit it off immediately.
“Oh, so you’re the one who roped my boy into this fancy business?” she had said with a cackle, patting your hand. “Well, you’ve got my approval, sweetheart. Just make sure you keep him in line.”
Ruggie groaned, slumping in his chair. “Grams, please…”
As the year drew closer to its end, you found yourself dreading the day Ruggie would leave. You didn’t want him to go. You didn’t want this to end.
Tumblr media
The anniversary of your marriage was fast approaching, and your stomach twisted into knots every time you thought about it. Tomorrow, Ruggie would be free to go, just like you promised. A year of playing the perfect royal consort, and it would all be over. He’d get his freedom, you’d get the throne.
So why did the thought of him leaving make you want to scream into a pillow?
You paced your chambers like a caged animal, mentally kicking yourself. You were supposed to be a genius tactician. Yet here you were, spiraling into an emotional wreck because of one laid-back, cunning hyena.
The door creaked open, and Ruggie strolled in with his usual smirk. “You’re pacing. Never seen you this jittery before. What’s up?”
You froze mid-step, spinning to face him. Your mind was a mess of conflicting emotions. How were you supposed to say this? Should you ease him into it? Throw him off with a joke? No, definitely not the joke. He’d roast you for it.
Ruggie raised an eyebrow. “Uh, you good? You look like you’re about to have a heart attack.”
You blurted out, “I don’t want you to leave.”
Ruggie blinked. Twice. Then blinked again like he was trying to reboot. “Come again?”
“I don’t want you to leave,” you repeated, feeling your palms start to sweat. You took a breath, stepping closer to him. “Tomorrow, you’re free to go, just like we agreed. But I… I don’t want you to. Somewhere along the line, this stopped being just a deal for me. I—I love you, Ruggie.”
Ruggie just stared at you, mouth slightly open like you’d just asked him to wear a ballgown and perform ballet in the throne room. Then he blinked again. “Wait… what?”
You closed your eyes. “You heard me.”
“I think I need to hear it again because there’s no way you just said that,” he replied, rubbing the back of his neck like he was trying to get his brain working again.
You huffed, crossing your arms. “I. Love. You.”
Ruggie stood there, looking like you just grew a second head. “Hold on, you’re serious?”
You groaned, burying your face in your hands. “I’m being serious!”
Ruggie scratched his cheek, looking away as if he was still processing. “Well, damn. Didn’t expect that.” Then he met your eyes again, his usual grin faltering slightly. “You really love me?”
You nodded, feeling your heart pound. “Yes. And I can’t imagine you not being here. Not as some royal consort, but… just as you.”
Ruggie stared at you for a long moment, before he let out a quiet chuckle. “Y’know… I didn’t plan on this either. This was supposed to be a quick gig, get some cash, eat some fancy food, and bounce. But… well, you’re not like the other royals. You’re kinda fun to be around.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Kinda?”
“Okay, fine, a lotta fun. Happy?” He grinned.
You punched him lightly on the arm. “Not the point!”
He laughed, rubbing his arm dramatically. “Ow, inflicting pain already? But nah, seriously… You’re different. And I guess I didn’t realize how much I’d miss you if I actually left.”
Your heart flipped. “So… you’ll stay?”
Ruggie let out a sigh, but there was a fond smile tugging at his lips. “Yeah, I’ll stay. I mean, how can I leave behind someone who lets me sneak pastries from the royal kitchens without ratting me out?”
You rolled your eyes, exasperated but relieved. “That’s what you’re staying for?”
He laughed, pulling you into a loose, playful hug. “Nah, it’s one of the perks though.”
You rested your head against his, feeling your worries melt away. “I’ll make it worth your while.”
“Oh, you better. I’m expecting a raise and benefits.” He teased, planting a quick kiss on your cheek.
You smirked, pulling back just enough to look up at him. “Benefits? What are you, my royal accountant?”
“Hey, I gotta get something outta this deal.” He grinned wider. “And speaking of, I plan on eating you out of house and home from now on. Just a heads up, Your Majesty.”
You groaned, swatting him on the arm again. “That’s already happening, Ruggie!”
“I mean even more now. You’ve created a monster.” He laughed, pulling you closer again, his nose nuzzling into your hair. “But seriously… I didn’t think this would happen either. Us. But I’m glad it did.”
You smiled, feeling a rush of warmth. “Me too.”
As you stood there in each other’s arms, you couldn’t help but think about how far you’d come from that deal. What started as a scheme to outsmart your parents had turned into something real, something you hadn’t expected, but something you wouldn’t trade for the world.
And as Ruggie’s laughter echoed in the room, you realized that maybe, just maybe, plans falling apart wasn’t such a bad thing after all.
“Well,” Ruggie said, smirking at you. “Guess I’m stuck with you now, huh?”
You chuckled, leaning into him. “Yeah, but admit it—you love it.”
He kissed your other cheek, his voice soft but teasing. “Yeah, yeah. I guess I do.”
And with that, you knew inciting that royal scandal was the best thing you could've ever done.

Tumblr media
“you two should make out.”
hyunjin blurts as he peeks behind the wall of yeji’s bedroom. he quickly hides away as yeji throws one of her stuffed animals at him.
“go away, you perv!”
you giggle away your embarrassment, trying to distract yeji from the fact you’re turning red.
“sorry y/n, my stupid and annoying step-brother. always getting in my business!”
as hyunjin gives another peek into yeji’s room, she spots him and flips him off. he rolls his eyes before walking away into his own room, slamming the door.
“just forget he said that. he’s just being a creep, per usual.”
you take several glances at hyunjin’s door across the hall from your spot on the bed as yeji speaks. she notices your eyes trailing from her to his door. how you’re starting to bite on your lip, to the point it might even bleed.
“y/n! don’t fucking tell me you’re into the idea!”
“w-what?! no! never! wha- how could you ever say that about me?!”
you cross your arms at her, cheeks turning an obvious shade of red. yeji laughs at you, her body slamming on to the pillows behind her.
“you are sick! are you into that shit? being a fucking pervert?”
yeji can’t stop laughing at you. it’s gone to a point where she’s become pale out of the amount of times she’s gasping for air from her laughter.
you turn your head from her, then your body as you sulk.
“stop making fun of me!”
“im sorry, im sorry! i’ll stop laughing…”
she wipes her tears as she takes a final sigh. her body relaxes between the pillows.
“oh man, you’re so disgusting.”
“enough!”
“okay, i’m sorry!”
there’s a silence between you two before you decide to speak up again.
“…it’s not a bad idea though.”
yeji covers her mouth in an attempt to stop herself from even the slightest giggle. then she bites her tongue before she speaks.
“it isn’t.”
she takes another breath.
“we should make hyunjin watch too. get his perverted ass to enjoy the show.”
“woah- what?!”
yeji gives a devious smirk at you as she gets up to lean against her hallway door.
“hyunjin! can you check on something for us?”
he opens his door immediately to the request.
“sure, what’s up?”
had he not heard what you guys were talking about before? there’s no way he didn’t hear, yeji was practically screaming everything out loud. was he playing dumb?
he leans against the door frame. yeji sits herself back onto her bed, right next to you. the space being limited between you.
“how’s my form?”
she grabs at your chin to turn your head away from hyunjin and face her. she pulls you closer to her face. the proximity of your lips, almost touching. your eyes quickly glance at hyunjin from the side, you see him licking his own lips. then it hits you.
you feel yeji’s lips on yours. her gloss smothering all over the bottom of your lip. her tongue darting into your mouth. the pressure of her fingers against your chin. you close your eyes at the feeling. the way yeji’s doing all of the work for you makes you feel relaxed, practically submitting to her.
“fuck… yeah, just like that.”
you can hear hyunjin from the side, groaning as he watches the both of you. you slide your hands on yeji’s waist, pulling her body closer to yours. she ends up crawling on your lap, eliminating the distance between you both.
yeji darts her tongue further into your mouth, making you moan. hyunjin’s own moan follows after he watches that certain action. yeji’s mouth detaches from yours, a line of saliva connecting the both of you. she gives hyunjin a look from the side.
“so? how was it?”
“fucking shit, ten outta ten. let me in on this.”
he approaches you, shoving yeji to the side. hyunjin wastes no time and quickly connects his lips onto yours. his plump lips fitting perfectly on yours, the wetness of the mix of all three of your salivas creating squelching noises as his mouth devours you. he softly bites on your bottom lip, leaving you into a whining mess. his fingers trail from your cheeks, to your jaw, down your neck, and finally toys at the straps of your flimsy tank top. he loops the straps on his fingers and pulls your top up, taking it off of you in one swift motion. your lips disconnect for a brief moment, then he’s back onto you like a magnet.
everything is happening so fast, it’s becoming blurry to you.
it was like the next time you opened your eyes, you were on all fours.
because you were.
your back arches as you’re hit with reality, more like pleased into reality. yeji grazes a bright pink dildo against your folds, while hyunjin lays back against the headboard of yeji’s bed, using his thumb to caress your lip as he takes his cock out of his pants with his freehand. his tip brushes your bottom lip before he uses his hand to pull your chin down, leaving your mouth wide open to take in at least the rest of his tip.
“can you take more baby?”
you nod as you wrap your mouth around him. he moves the few strands of hair in front of your face behind your ear, then slowly pushing down on your head against his shaft. you let out a gasp as yeji syncs up the dildo with hyunjin’s movements, pushing it in your cunt as your mouth goes down on his dick.
“hyunjin, the toy slides so easily in her. fuck…”
yeji licks her lips at the site of your cunt engulfing the toy whole. a particularly loud moan comes out of your mouth and vibrates against hyunjin’s dick. it sends him into a shock, moaning at the feeling.
it doesnt take long before hyunjin cums. as he releases inside your mouth, he pulls it out with a certain pop sound as your lips detach from his tip. as you swallow his load, his last bits of his cum finish by spurting onto your cheeks and chin. just like paint on a canvas. hyunjin grabs your cheeks harshly, pulling your head to turn and look back at yeji, who admires the splotches of hyunjin’s seed on your face. the distance between you shrinks as she’s now face to face with you. she sticks her tongue out, then presses it against your cheek, licking a long stripe to collect hyunjin’s seed in her mouth. then she attaches her lips back onto yours, a mixture of saliva and semen entering your mouth.
“don’t you think we taste so good, y/n?”
you eagerly nod, gulping down the mix of the siblings bodily secretions.
“wow, you’re disgusting.”
yeji tsks at you. the tone in her voice making you feel flustered, but also so turned on.
“who do you want more? me or hyunjin?”
you’re brain goes blank. you try to speak but no words come out of your mouth.
“the poor baby can’t speak, hm? that’s enough of an answer for us. looks like you’ll get us both, is that what you want?”
“y-yes! b-both! please!”
you whine at the both of them, your head turning to look at one then the other.
“shit… okay baby. lay on your back for us.”
hyunjin’s voice mellow but demanding. you react immediately, getting on your back against yeji’s bed. you watch as hyunjin pulls the restraining material of his pants all the way down to his ankles, while yeji unbuttons her skirt and pulls her panties down only to toss it elsewhere in her room.
the two quickly get into their positions on your body, yeji hovering above your face and hyunjin lined up at your core. the heat of their bodies at your most sacred parts only makes you want them more. hyunjin slowly sinks into your cunt, the tip only making it in before you whine in pleasure. then being cut by yeji slamming down onto your face, mouth directly at her own sopping core and clit to your nose. hyunjin keeps pushing himself in further, while the moans he gets out of you travel to yeji, making her whine at the feeling of your mouths vibrations. her fingers latch onto her headboard, grip tightening for maintaining her balance as she starts to ride your face. on the other hand, hyunjin bottoms out in your cunt, balls deep. the clench your cunt makes around his cock is already enough of a sign that he should start moving. the rhythm of hyunjin’s thrusts in your pussy make you rock up and down, your mouth messily sucking on yeji’s cunt. every time hyunjin thrusts, your nose keeps bumping harder onto yeji’s clit, the pressure building up.
the sensations building up in your stomach felt like it was too much to handle. your toes start to curl. hyunjin notices, making him plow harder into your core. it’s like you’re suffering when the rough speed intensifies. you moan endlessly into yeji’s cunt, making her squirt all over your face. you end up creaming around hyunjin’s dick after yeji’s release.
“creaming all over my cock, hm? take my seed, like a cum dumpster.”
hyunjin gives one last thrust before you feel his warm seed filling you up. as he pulls out, he watches the mixture of your cum drip down your folds.
“shit… look at her mess.”
hyunjin whimpers at the sight of his doings. yeji trembles as she gets off your face. she crawls over to hyunjin’s spot.
“move!”
she pushes him away from his spot on her bed, taking his place. she slowly straddles you, her legs in between yours. you already know what she’s about it to do.
yeji starts rubbing her wet pussy all over your creamed cunt. you follow her rhythm, rolling your hips against her. the mixtures of all three of your essences mix between your bodies. as your clit rubs against hers, you feel another coil in your stomach. it doesn’t take you long to release again, more cum dripping out of your cunt. it doesn’t stop yeji though, rubbing her folds against yours, spreading your cum all over your cunt.
“you love being messy, hm pretty girl?”
you nod your head aggressively, in a way that could mess up your brain more than it already is.
hyunjin watches, a death grip around his own cock, thrusting into his hand as he watches you grind against his dirty step-sister.
“get off, it’s my turn again.”
hyunjin gives yeji her payback, pushing her away from your cunt just as he sees she’s about to release all over you.
“hey! i was so close!”
hyunjin rolls his eyes at yeji’s remark. he grabs you by your ankles, dragging your body to turn towards the end of the bed, legs dangling off the edge. he falls onto his knees, right in front of your cunt. he starts kissing your inner thighs softly. it felt so calming. almost too peaceful.
he’s brisk to reach back onto your messy pussy, leaving light kisses on it. everywhere from your folds, to your hole, and your clit. reserving the most aggressive kisses to your clit, sucking the soul out of it.
he prods his tongue inside your hole, collecting the essence and cream dripping onto the sheets.
yeji on your side has began to suck on your tits. her tongue swirling all over your areola, sucking on your nipples, and leaving dark hickeys all over your chest.
it doesn’t take long for the both of their lips on your body to make you release for the nth time.
you feel weak.
messy.
dirty.
still aroused.
yeji leaves a peck on your lips before she gets up from her bed.
“let’s do this again next time you come over.”

︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
All afternoon you and Hook have been giving each other attitude.
You don't know when or how it specifically started but you knew it began sometime during lunch and since then, you two would seemingly be (unintentionally) taking turns talking back to each other or giving some sort of snarky remark. You both were getting fed up with it, yet neither of you could help it. You had the same amount of attitude and stubbornness so of course none of you backed down, always getting the last word in whenever one of you was getting scolded from the other to stop or simply giving a glare in the others direction and it seemed that every shot you took at each other would only provoke you more and pushed you both to keep going. It was quite childish and stupid really. Your friends had even pointed it out in class and asked why you were being so "bratty" to each other, with your responses only being "it's her/his fault." Maleficent would laugh and say that Hook "finally met his match" and the rest of the VK's joking about how they just know this "fight" would end up physical. You would be lying to yourself if you said that there wasn't any type of sexual tension behind it or that it wasn't turning you on. Your bickering would have implication with some type of dirty comment along with it.
Though you were both completely fed up with each other's attitudes, you still couldn't stay apart. So as of now, you were in your last class of the day sat at the back of the class, working on your paired assignment in silence with your leg draped over his and his hook rested around your thigh.
"Hey, Y/n?"
You perked your head up as you heard your classmate that was sat in the desk in front of you call out your name, "yeah?" The sound of your "overly" sweet and gentle voice gaining the attention of your boyfriend who was sitting next to you just as you suspected it would. You knew how possessive he was and how jealous he got when you would give any other guy attention, and with your tone of voice, you made sure that he could tell you knew that he knew that what you were doing was on purpose. Just to irk him a little more. "could you maybe help us out with this question please? We tried asking the teacher but it still didn't help like at all" he explained, while gesturing to their papers. It wasn't completely out of the ordinary for someone to ask you for help as you were quite smart, especially in this class, "Oh, yeah of course!" You happily replied, taking Hooks hand off your thigh and got up, leaving Hook behind with a scowl as he watched you walk up to their desk and explained it to them. He was convinced that whenever you smiled at them or laughed with them was in a flirtatious manner and were "purposely" doing it to get him angry, and it was definitely working. He watched intently as you smiled politely at the two boys as they thanked you for your help, "no problem!" you replied back causing him to roll his eyes.
You strutted back to your seat and caught the pout in his face as you sat back down, you scoffed, "they needed help." He glanced at you with his arms crossed, you mirroring his actions, "I didn't say anything." - "you didn't have to." You snapped back at him while raising your voice a little. He was about to reply back, most likely another snarky comment when he was interrupted by the same guy who was in front of you, turning around to ask another question about the assignment. He saw the once annoyed expression on your face immediately switch up and into a fake yet convincingly warm smile as the two of you had a simple conversation which in his eyes, seemed like another attempt to try and flirt with you. He instantly threw his arm around you and rested the other on your thigh under the desk pulling you close, not taking his eyes off the guy, giving him a threatening look. He rubbed soft circles on your thigh, but with every giggle you let out while talking, he would squeeze your thigh just a little tighter which would cause you to falter your laugh. When your classmates finally turned back around to continue their own conversation and work, by then his hand had made its way higher up your leg, closer to your crotch and just under your skirt. You would squirm with every movement of his fingers causing him to smile as you did so, he knew exactly what he was doing. You tried your hardest to focus on the assignment as best you could, but his touch was heavenly. It didn't help that he knew exactly how to touch you to make you feel good without even trying.
The teacher quieted the class and began going over how the rest of the week would look like as it was nearing the end of the school day, just 5 minutes before the bell and Hook still continued his actions, "Can you like, mhm- chill out?" You hissed as quietly as possible, letting out a soft, closed mouthed moan in between your words after he moved even higher, just a few inches away from your heat, if that, that was starting to dampen your underwear. He kept his eyes to the front of the class where the teacher was going over something that you didn't care about, nor could you even focus on even if you tried, taking a few seconds before replying with a simple, "what am I doing?" he asked, a cute clueless look on his face as he turned and made eye contact with you. The movement of his thumb making you squirm and breath hitch once again, this time while making eye contact with him which made it all the more embarrassing for you. You gave him a silent glare and he glanced down to where his hand was under your skirt which made it ride up just enough for him to see the wet spot on your underwear causing him to smirk, "am I making you wet, darling?" He whispered with a cocky voice making you feel frustrated (both sexually and angrily from his cockiness) and flustered. You rolled your eyes and before you could stop yourself you mumbled under your breath while still being in a bratty mood, "who said it was you who turned me on.." your eyes shot wide open in shock as you realized what you'd said, his grip instantly tightened on your thigh, "oh, really..?" He said in a low, threatening tone causing you to let out a small squeak.
A few seconds later the bell rang and you quickly packed up your things, Hook immediately took your hand in his and dragged you out the door and into the hall, "fucking brat." He said through gritted teeth while pushing past people in the hall. You had mixed feelings, scared yet slightly excited for what he was going to do. He had already turned you on, and whenever he would get mad, it would turn you on even more and with every quick step you took with him getting closer and closer to your dorm, the wetter you got.
When you arrived, he swung the door open and yanked you inside, pushing you by your waist harshly up against the door causing it to shut with a loud slam! throwing your books to the side. He placed his leg in between yours, separating them as he stared down at you with pure fury behind his eyes, breathing deeply as you were staring up at him with innocent eyes filled with nervous anticipation. "You wanna repeat what you had just said to me there in class, darling?" His voice was deep and menacing as he spoke, the name sounding more taunting than anything. You shook your head, "I didn't mean it-" he instantly cut you off, "no, no. I want you to clearly tell me what you said. Now." He demanded, getting closer to your face. You were practically dripping now, your pussy throbbing with every word he spoke. You were so turned on at this point all you could do was shake your head with a whimper, slightly grinding on his thigh that rested between yours. The feeling of the fabric of your underwear and his leg on your clit making a breathy moan escape from your lips. He laughed and shook his head in disbelief, "dirty little slut." And with that he dropped his leg and pulled one of yours up to wrap around his waist as he dove down to your neck and began harshly kissing and biting all over causing you to gasp in pleasure, your hands finding their way to his hair as you pushed your body up against him. "I need- put you- in your- fucking place." He growled in between kisses along your collarbone, your only response was a quick nod, gasping as you rolled your hips against his, trying desperately to feel any type of sensation on your clit. He trailed kisses up your neck and roughly slammed his lips onto yours, his tongue instantly gaining access inside your mouth and his hand up your shirt, fondling your tits. He wrapped his hook around your waist to hold you up as you pressed your back up against the wall, using it to jump up, wrapping your other leg that was once on the ground around his waist.
As you continued to grind your hips you could feel him growing harder, adding more friction to your aching core. "Please-" you mumbled into his mouth, a moan escaping as you felt him twitch beneath you from your plead. "Please what, darling?" He teased, taking his hand out from under your bra and trailing down your body to your ass, gripping tightly as he kissed back down your neck causing you to gasp. You to let out a loud moan when he nipped at your sweet spot on your neck, "please- mm- more. I want more." You begged, his touch driving you mad. "Are you done being a brat?" He questioned, looking up at you. "But you're the one who-" you stopped yourself from saying anything more, the hand on your ass tightening its grip as he gave you a warning look, he gently pulled you down along the bulge in his pants and stopped just where your clit met the tip. You nodded, "yes, yes I'm done. I swear." You said in desperation, you clung onto him and attempted to grind your hips again but his firm hold stopped you, "I'm s-sorry, I didn't mean what I said. I-I just need to feel you. Please." You rambled, showering his neck in kisses as a pathetic attempt to convince him causing him to roll his eyes.
Without speaking he brought you over and threw you down on the bed. He glanced down to his pants noticing the wet spot you'd left and looked back up at you who only blushed. He began taking his jacket off, "be a good girl for once today and undress for me, love." You quickly obeyed and took off your shirt, throwing it somewhere off to the side and unclipped your bra discarding it in the same direction, watching in anticipation as he unbuttoned his shirt, gnawing on your bottom lip at the sight, a shy smile tugging at the corners of your lips. Of course you've seen him shirtless plenty of times, but the sight never fails to make you blush. He was gorgeous. He unbuckled his belt and came in between your legs, his face just above yours, "i'll fuck you but you can't cum until I say you can, okay?" He smiled while caressing your cheek with his hook making you shiver. You nodded, still nibbling on your lip. "Use your words." He brought his hook under your jaw, "okay" you whispered, "good girl." he praised before he placed his lips delicately on yours. You immediately pulled him closer, tangling your hands in his swept back hair.
He lifted your skirt up and rubbed circles around your clothed clit making you let out a high pitched moan, "so wet-" he complimented before sliding your underwear to the side and slowly entered two digits into your folds with ease. You tugged at his hair, pleasured sounds leaving your lips, the feeling of his fingers curling up and hitting your g spot, but as much as it felt good, it wasn't enough. You whined and reached for the waistband of his underwear that sat just above his pants that were already unzipped, he swiftly pulled away and pulled his fingers out of you to stop you from stroking him, "needy, aren't we?" You nodded and looked up at him with pleading eyes. He stared back down at you for a moment, a smile appearing on his face scoffing before giving in and began removing your underwear off your legs. The coldness of the room hitting your soaked and now bare pussy causing you to instinctively close your legs but he stopped you from doing so, pulling them back apart and pulled you closer to him. He lined himself up with you and slowly pushed into your walls earning a sharp moan from you, wrapping your legs around his waist. He was big, and every time it took you a bit to get used to his size, he held your hand beside your head to comfort you, "that's it darling.." he soothes as he eases into you. You squeeze his hand as he fills you up with his length, both gasping in pleasure as he lays his head on your shoulder, bottoming out. "Fuck.." He breathes out against your shoulder. He stills for a moment, letting you get used to his size before moving.
After a minute he lifted his head and looked at you, his hair framing his face you nodded, "okay" you whisper, biting your lip at the sight, he grabs your waist and slowly pulls out half way and sinks back in repeatedly, the pained winces and gasps soon turning to pleasured moans. "You're taking me so well.." he husks, picking up pace. Pornographic moans escape your mouth as he hits your cervix, throwing your head back against the soft sheets of your bed as his attention is focused on the way his cock is disappearing into your guts over and over. "-close" you cry out, he grabs your face and brings you up closer, forcing you to look at him, "not yet." He says sternly as he continues to plow himself into you before letting go. You grab for the sheets below you desperately, "brats don't get to cum that fast." He states, the knot in your stomach tightens and you grow frustrated after he says that, "like- I, mm, said- it's you who- started it!" You retorted in between moans each time he pumped back inside you. Within a matter of seconds he pulled out and flipped you over on your stomach effortlessly. He pulled your hips up and slammed back into you, this time harder and faster causing you to curse loudly with every movement of his hips. You let out a yelp as you felt a harsh slap to your ass, "guess we haven't learned our lesson have we?" He slapped your ass again, "wanna keep acting like a fucking brat? I'll treat you like one." He snapped his hips into yours, getting deeper and deeper with each thrust, your screams were being muffled by the sheets, he was reaching places you never knew were even possible. He grabbed your hair and pulled you up so you were against his chest, "ungrateful little whore." He mumbled into your ear before throwing you back down to the bed and proceeded to ram into you mercilessly causing your eyes to roll backwards and your mouth fell agape. He had a grip on your hips that were surly going to leave bruises when he was done with you and was scolding you for your bad behaviour, but you were so fucked out of your mind that you couldn't concentrate on anything but the extreme pleasure from his deep and hard thrusts that were causing you to see stars, you could only barely manage to get out small breathless "sorry's" here and there.
The filthy noises of your hips slapping against each other and the squelching of your wet cunt echoed throughout the room turning you on more, making the knot in your lower abdomen grow larger and more painful, "pl-e-ease Ja- need- to- cum" you groaned out in pure bliss, you began clenching around him making it harder for him to move and pushed him closer to the edge. "Shit-" he cursed under his breath, "cum for me, love-" he told you before moaning out again. He pulled you up again, this time by the waist and held you as your orgasm began to wash over you, "you're okay, I'm right here.." the intense sensation of the knot coming undone made you whine and cry out, legs shaking and you fell back into him with your head falling back on his shoulder as he continued to fuck into you and talk you through your orgasm. At this point you couldn't even form coherent sentences and your mind was a complete blur, still clenching hard around him as the feeling was still washing over you. He eventually finished inside of you, spilling his seed deep into your pussy. You both stayed in that position for a bit before he gently put you down, still buried deep inside of you. You caught your breaths and he slowly took his cock out of your messy hole causing you to whimper, still feeling overly sensitive, “Shh, it’s okay, you’re okay.” he assured. The mixture of his cum and your sticky juices spilled out of you as he pulled out, he grabbed a towel and cleaned up the mess you'd both made and changed you into more comfortable clothes as you were too out of it to do it yourself, making sure to be careful around the bruises on your hips and your sensitive area. He laid down beside you in the covers and pulled you close, you instantly snuggling into him.
"Was I too rough, my love..?" He questioned, you looked up into his deep brown eyes and smiled, "no, you weren't" you said softly, knowing full well that you were definitely going to have trouble walking for at least a few days. He kissed your forehead and played with your hair as he whispered sweet nothings into your ear and soon after, you fell asleep.

a little teaser of the 5 + 1 fic:
He watches Odysseus sink to his knees in the sea, reaching down to splash water on his face, and ignores the frantic beating of his heart. He could tell himself that it’s just the excitement of the kill, the leftover adrenaline in his veins like he used to tell himself, but denying it seems pointless after ten years.
Pulling his bloodied tunic over his head and dropping it into the sand, Diomedes wades into the waves next to Odysseus, and then passes him, until he can submerge himself fully into the water. For a moment, there is nothing, just the cold empty embrace of the sea. He breathes deep as he resurfaces, blinking the salt out of his eyes to see Odysseus’s grinning face.
“Here.” Odysseus says, patting the shallow water in front of him.
Diomedes wades back towards the shore to sit in front of his friend. Odysseus rises up onto his knees behind him, and with gentle fingers, begins pulling at Diomedes hair, releasing the damp curls from the three long plaits Sthenelus put them in yesterday.
He grits his teeth as Odysseus tugs at the knots. “Gentle.”
“I’ve seen you walk around camp with a spearhead stuck in your shoulder like it’s nothing, stop complaining about me tugging on your hair.” Odysseus says.
“Hm.”
Silence passes over them, and Diomedes shuts his eyes, content to watch the inside of his eyelids grow more and more orange as the sun rises higher and higher past the horizon. When Odysseus has freed all of his hair from the braids, he dips his hands into the waves, massaging the salty water clinging to his fingertips into Diomedes’ scalp. A heavy groan releases itself from his throat.
“Mm.” Odysseus hums in response, clearly pleased at the reaction he elicited.
Once Odysseus’s fingers still, Diomedes turns around to look at his friend, admiring the way the sun paints his face. He lets his eyes trail over his nose and cheeks, moving down until he’s met with his lips, already curled into a smirk, like he knows where this is going. It’s been going to the same place for nearly eight years.
“You’ve got blood in your beard.”
“Ah.” Odysseus says. “Will you-?”
“Of course.” Diomedes places a gentle hand to the back of Odysseus’s neck, and watches his friend's eyes flutter shut. Leaning close, he lets his breath hit Odysseus’s lips and watches him swallow sharply. With a triumphant grin, he pushes his friend face-first into the waves.
Cackling as Odysseus arises from the ocean with an indignant splutter, he’s ready when he lunges forward, attempting to wrap his hands around Diomedes’ neck. They throw each other about for a while, each catching more than one faceful of salty water and a punch or two to the stomach. It doesn’t last long as they’re both already tired, and Odysseus is the first to give in, raising his hands in surrender as he flops back down into the wet sand.
“Truce.”
“Alright,” Diomedes says, leaning forward to plant a salty kiss on his friend’s lips. “Truce.”
Odysseus licks the salt from his lips with a grin, and opens his mouth to speak, but is interrupted by a long growl from Diomedes’ stomach. “We need to eat.”
“Mm.”

---
Hey everyone! Welcome to the 2nd bouns installment of my new mini series called "Oi! Not this again!" They do not have to be read together or in order! I hope you all enjoy!
I wake up to the feeling of warmth pressed against my back. The soft hum of breathing fills the air as I shift slightly under the covers. I know without opening my eyes that it’s Mingyu. His arms are wrapped securely around me, and even though he’s fast asleep, there’s a quiet reassurance in his hold. It's like he's trying to tell me that everything will be okay, even though nothing feels okay right now.
I glance at the clock. 6:15 AM. Jeonghan leaves in forty-five minutes.
The lump in my throat swells as I turn to look at the other side of the bed. Jeonghan’s not there. The space where he usually sleeps is empty, the sheets cold. A small sigh escapes my lips as I quietly slip out from Mingyu’s hold, careful not to wake him. I make my way out of the bedroom, the sound of my feet padding softly against the floor.
The living room light is on.
There, sitting on the couch with his head in his hands, is Jeonghan. His hair falls over his face, hiding the tiredness in his eyes that I know is there. He’s been dreading this day for months. Hell, *we’ve* been dreading it. Every time the topic of his military enlistment came up, the atmosphere between us would shift, turning from light-hearted conversations to heavy silence.
"Hey," I whisper, not wanting to startle him. He lifts his head and gives me a small, tired smile.
"Couldn’t sleep," he mutters, his voice hoarse. I walk over to him, sitting down next to him on the couch. The space between us feels suffocating, like it holds every unsaid word, every unspoken fear.
"Me neither," I admit, reaching for his hand. His fingers intertwine with mine, squeezing just a little too tightly, as if he's afraid to let go.
“I don’t want to leave you all.” His voice cracks, and the raw vulnerability in it makes my heart ache. He’s always been the one who held us together, the one who teased us, made us laugh, and softened the edges when things got hard. But now, the cracks in his armor are showing, and I don’t know how to fix them.
"I know," I whisper. "I don’t want you to leave either."
He lets out a bitter chuckle. "It's not fair, is it? Just when everything is perfect…"
Perfect. It feels like such an impossible word right now. I think about the nights spent curled up in bed with all of them—Seungcheol’s steady presence, Joshua’s gentle kisses, Wonwoo’s quiet affection, and the rest of them who made my heart feel so full it might burst. And now, Jeonghan, a crucial part of us, is leaving.
I feel the tears prick at my eyes, but I blink them away, refusing to let them fall. I have to be strong for him. For all of us.
“You’ll come back,” I say, trying to sound reassuring, though the words feel hollow. “And we’ll all be here, waiting for you. You're our home and we're yours.”
Jeonghan leans his head against mine, his breath warm on my skin. “Two years is a long time.”
“I know.”
A long silence stretches between us, the weight of the next two years heavy in the air. We’ve talked about this before, about how we’ll all stay connected, writing letters, video calls whenever he can. But it won’t be the same. The empty space in our bed, the missing voice during movie nights, the absent laughter during game nights—it’ll be felt every single day.
“I’ll miss you,” I whisper, my voice trembling despite my efforts to stay composed.
Jeonghan turns to face me, his eyes searching mine. “I’ll miss you too. All of you. More than you can imagine.”
Before I can respond, I hear footsteps behind us. Mingyu, followed by Seungcheol and Joshua, walk into the living room. They must have woken up when I left. Mingyu looks at us with a tired, pained expression, his eyes red from lack of sleep. He sits down on the other side of Jeonghan, wrapping an arm around him in silence.
“I hate this,” Mingyu murmurs, his voice barely audible. Seungcheol sits down on the floor in front of Jeonghan, looking up at him with a steady, reassuring gaze.
“You’ll be back before you know it,” Seungcheol says, his deep voice full of conviction. “We’ll get through this together. Just like always.”
Jeonghan lets out a soft laugh, though it’s more of a breath. “You make it sound so easy.”
“It’s not,” Joshua says softly, taking Jeonghan’s other hand. “But we’ll be okay. You’ll be okay.”
We sit there together for what feels like hours, even though it’s only minutes. No one says much, but the weight of everything unsaid hangs heavily in the room. I try to memorize every part of this moment—the warmth of their bodies close to mine, the sound of their breathing, the way Jeonghan’s hand feels in mine, strong yet fragile.
And then, too soon, it’s time.
Seungcheol helps Jeonghan to his feet, and Mingyu grabs the small bag he’s packed. The silence is deafening as we walk him to the door. Jeonghan turns to face us one last time, his eyes scanning over each of us as if he’s trying to take us all in, to remember us just as we are.
“I’ll come back,” he says, his voice strong but laced with emotion. “I promise.”
Mingyu lets out a quiet sob, and I can feel my own tears finally spill over. Jeonghan steps forward, pulling us all into one last hug. The embrace is warm, tight, and filled with a desperation none of us are willing to admit.
“I love you,” he whispers, and it feels like the words are being carved into my heart. “I love you all.”
“I love you too,” I manage to choke out, and the others follow with their own murmurs of affection.
And then, just like that, he’s gone.
---
The next two years are hard. Some days are better than others. There are moments where I can almost forget the hole Jeonghan’s absence left behind. But then there are nights where I wake up, reaching for him, only to remember that he’s not here.
We keep in touch as much as we can. Letters, video calls when his schedule allows. But it’s not the same. It never will be.
But we get through it. Seungcheol, Joshua, Mingyu, the others—they make it bearable. We lean on each other, finding comfort in the small moments, in the knowledge that we’re all in this together.
And then, one day, the wait is over.
It’s a quiet afternoon when the front door opens, and there he is—Jeonghan, standing in the doorway, looking exactly the same and yet somehow different. My heart stops for a moment, and then I’m running toward him, throwing myself into his arms.
He laughs, the sound warm and familiar, and suddenly, everything is okay again. The others join us, and soon we’re all piled on top of each other, a tangle of limbs and laughter and tears.
“I told you I’d come back,” Jeonghan says, his voice full of warmth and relief.
“Yeah,” I say, burying my face in his chest, feeling his heart beat steadily against mine. “You did.”
And in that moment, surrounded by the people I love, I know that everything is going to be okay.

𝓹airing , quinn hughes x leilani tocchet
quinn doesn’t know what he’d do without his brothers and he hopes he never has to find out. him and jack have a habit of meeting at the lake house kitchen when quinn feels like the ground is about to swallow him whole. (wc ; 1.2K )
꒰ 𝓷ote , this is the first piece of my new au (sweet nothing). It’s a prologue of sorts. I am already completely in love with this universe, dad!quinn and everything that’s coming. this takes place before the ‘23-‘24 season. please feel free to drop by the inbox and tell me all your thoughts about quinn, lani and ro ꒱
Tumblr media
quinn doesn’t know how long he’s been sitting at the kitchen counter, counting the drops that are falling into the sink from the leaking faucet. considering he’s counted to 600 something each time, 4 different times before losing count again, one might say a little too long.
drop , drop , drop . . .
the longer quinn stares at the sink, the more annoyed he gets. what a perfect analogy for what his life has been looking like the past few years. problem after problem dropping into his lap, like those drops in the sink, and he’s just supposed to figure out a way to solve them all.
except, much like the leaking faucet he still hasn’t fixed, quinn can’t seem to get a moment to catch his breath before another thing gets added to the long list of problems and responsibilities he has.
the latest wrench thrown in his plans showing up as a 6’2, green eyed Australian whisking his child’s nanny away down under. quinn lets an amused sigh escape, rubbing a hand down his face, and taking a long sip of the warm beer from the can he took out of the fridge hours earlier.
it’s not like this was totally out of the blue. the nanny and the Australian have been dating nearly three years and got engaged last summer. surely quinn should’ve anticipated this move. but for some reason, probably all the other things clouding his brain on a daily basis, he didn’t.
and despite the 2 month head start she gave him on replacing her, quinn still hasn’t found a suitable replacement that meets his standards.
a shadow moving on his left catches quinn's attention but before he can even give a reaction a fist is flying towards his face and hits him square in the jaw, sending his head rearing to the other side.
"what the fuck?!" jack yells, laying a palm flat on his chest, right over his erratic heart, looking at quinn like he was the one who threw the punch, and wasn’t on the receiving end of it.
"jesus jack. the fuck are you doing?" quinn grumles, rubbing his palm over his jaw, the rough hair against his fingers reminding him that he needs to shave.
"what am I doing? what are you doing? sitting here in the dark like you’re contemplating all your life choices,” jack half-jokes, sending his older brother one of his signature grins, but when quinn only releases a sigh as a response jack’s demeanour immediately changes and he pulls out the chair next to quinn’s at the breakfast bar, letting them both bask in the silence for a few seconds.
“last time we had a little bro-to-bro meeting in this kitchen at 4A.M. was when you told me about Rowan. And look, Ro is the best thing that ever happened to this family, but if you’re about to tell me you got someone pregnant again I’m really gonna freak out. I love being an uncle but you gotta learn how to wrap it up—“
“I’m not having another kid Jack. I can barely cope with the one I do have as it is,” quinn mutters, sending his brother an annoyed look that his mind would even jump to that conclusion. Not that he could blame him.
“Thank God. Besides my bet is on Luke and Vi having a kid next. Those two go at it like rabbits, at least now that Luke’s gonna be in Jersey it’ll lower the chances you know?” Jack says and Quinn lets out a soft laugh at his little brother’s disgusted tone.
“Let’s not put that out into the universe,” quinn jokes and jack hums in agreement.
“so if there’s not another little quinn on the way, what’s keeping you up this time of night Quinny?” jack asks softly, bumping his shoulder into his brother’s and Quinn lets out a shaky breath as he meets jack’s worried, blue eyes.
Maybe it’s because those blue eyes remind him so much of his mom’s that Quinn’s resolve melts away immediately as he tells his brother about the latest predicament he found himself in.
“well just start start up interviews again when you get back to Van. Ask some of the guys on the team who has kids, maybe they can recommend you someone they trust,” jack suggests as if quinn hadn’t already thought of and done that himself. jack must have seen the expression on quinn’s face because he doesn’t even let him get a word out before he speaks again.
“I don’t remember you being this selective when we were younger,” jack mutters and quinn scoffs
“yeah well I’m not choosing what toy to play with or who share my snacks with on the playground jack. this is my child’s happiness and safety on the line, I’ll be as selective as I damn well please,” quinn snaps, and jack puts a hand on his brother’s shoulder, squeezing reassuringly.
“it’s gonna be okay. I’m sure you’ll find someone before the season starts. and if you don’t, and it comes to that, i’m sure mom and dad will fly out and be there as long as you need them,” jack suggests and quinn can’t help it as the feeling of panic settles in his chest and wraps around his throat at the idea of his parents rearranging their lives because he can’t get his own together.
he’s the oldest brother. he’s the captain. he’s the dad. he’s supposed to be the one looking after people; helping them figure things out and supporting them, not the other way around.
the thought of burdening others with his problems, physically made him ill. or maybe it was the thought about why he needed a nanny at all. the fear that he wasn’t present enough in his own son’s life. that he was an absent father.
with a mother that couldn’t get rid of him fast enough and a father that couldn’t even put him to bed every night. quinn was bound to screw his kid up for life.
jack’s face comes into view as he twists quinn’s chair, forcing him out of his deprecating thoughts.
“hey , no matter what happens. we got you, okay? someone’s gonna be there. mom, dad, me, luke, someone will be there if you need us quinn. I don’t care if I need to take a leave of absence from the team for a few weeks and be babysitter while you figure some stuff out. If that’s what we need to do, we’ll do it. And we’ll cross that bridge if and when we get there. I don’t say it nearly as often as you deserve to hear it but you’re a good brother Quinny, and you’re a great dad, and you’re about to be the best leader in the league,” jack says and quinn struggles to swallow past the lump in his throat
“crosby’s not retired yet you know,” quinn replies to the “best leader” comment and jack sends him a grin
“I know. My big brother’s always gonna be the best at everything in my eyes tho,” the words slip past jack’s lips and he laughs as quinn shoves him away slightly
“now you’re just trying to make a grown man cry and it’s mean,” quinn says and jack squeezes his shoulder one more time before going to grab a glass out of the cabinet. the original task he was coming down here to do…
“go to bed. i’m sure Ro is gonna wake up any minute and be looking for you,” jack says
“he’s passed out between luke and vi actually,” quinn says, grinning cheekily as jack laughs
“well that’s one way to keep them quiet.”

||COUNTDOWN ||SEASON 2 EPISODE 10 || PRESTONPANS ||
#83daysofoutlander☆
The air in the cottage was warm and noisy with breathing; not the healthy racket of snoring men, but the shallow gasps of men for whom breathing hurts, and the moans of those who have found a temporary oblivion that frees them from the manly obligation of suffering in silence. The men in this cottage were those badly wounded, but in no immediate danger. I knew, though, that death walks at night in the aisles of a sick ward, searching for those whose defenses are lowered, who may stray unwittingly into its path through loneliness and fear. Some of the wounded had wives who slept next to them, to comfort them in the dark, but none in this cottage. They had me. If I could do little to heal them or stop their pain, I could at least let them know that they didn’t lie alone; that someone stood here, between them and the shadow. Beyond anything I could do, it was my job only to be there. I rose and made my way slowly once again through the pallets on the floor, stooping at each one, murmuring and touching, straightening a blanket, smoothing tangled hair, rubbing the knots that form in cramped limbs. A sip of water here, a change of dressing there, the reading of an attitude of tense embarrassment that meant a urinal was needed, and the matter-of-fact presentation that allowed the man to ease himself, the stone bottle growing warm and heavy in my hand. I stepped outdoors to empty one of these, and paused for a moment, gathering the cool, rainy night to myself, letting the soft moisture wipe away the touch of coarse, hairy skin and the smell of sweating men. “Ye dinna sleep much, Sassenach.” The soft Scottish voice came from the direction of the road. The other hospital cottages lay in that direction; the officers’ quarters, the other way, in the village manse. “You dinna sleep much, either,” I responded dryly. How long had he gone without sleep? I wondered. “I slept in the field last night, with the men.” “Oh, yes? Very restful,” I said, with an edge that made him laugh. Six hours’ sleep in a wet field, followed by a battle in which he’d been stepped on by a horse, wounded by a sword, and done God knows what else. Then he had gathered his men, collected the wounded, tended the hurt, mourned his dead, and served his Prince. And through none of it had I seen him pause for food, drink, or rest.
I didn’t bother scolding. It wasn’t even worth mentioning that he ought to have been among the patients on the floor. It was his job to be here, as well.
“There are other women, Sassenach,” he said gently. “Shall I have Archie Cameron send someone down?” It was a temptation, but one I pushed away before I could think about it too long, for fear that if I acknowledged my fatigue, I would never move again. I stretched, hands against the small of my back.
“No,” I said. “I’ll manage ’til the dawn. Then someone else can take over for a time.” Somehow I felt that I must get them through the night; at dawn they would be safe.
He didn’t scold, either; just laid a hand on my shoulder and drew me to lean against him for a moment. We shared what strength we had, unspeaking. “I’ll stay with ye, then,” he said, drawing away at last. “I canna sleep before light, myself.” “The other men from Lallybroch?” He moved his head toward the fields near the town where the army was camped. “Murtagh’s in charge.” “Oh, well, then. Nothing to worry about,” I said, and saw him smile in the light from the window. There was a bench outside the cottage, where the goodwife would sit on sunny days to clean fish or mend clothes. I drew him down to sit beside me, and he sagged back against the wall of the house with a sigh. His patent exhaustion reminded me of Fergus, and the boy’s expression of confused bewilderment after the battle. I reached to caress the back of Jamie’s neck, and he turned his head blindly toward me, resting his brow against my own. “How was it, Jamie?” I asked softly, fingers rubbing hard and slow over the tight-ridged muscles of his neck and shoulders. “What was it like? Tell me.” There was a short silence, then he sighed, and began to talk, haltingly at first, and then faster, as if wanting to get it out. “We had no fire, for Lord George thought we must move off the ridge before daylight, and wanted no hint of movement to be seen below. We sat in the dark for a time. Couldna even talk, for the sound would carry to the plain. So we sat. “Then I felt something grab my thigh in the dark, and near jumped out of my skin.” He inserted a finger in his mouth and rubbed gingerly. “Nearly bit my tongue off.” I felt the shift of his muscles as he smiled, though his face was hidden. “Fergus?” The ghost of a laugh floated through the dark.
“Aye, Fergus. Crawled through the grass on his belly, the little bastard, and I thought he was a snake, at that. He whispered to me about Anderson, and I crawled off after him and took Anderson to see Lord George.” His voice was slow and dreamy, talking under the spell of my touch. “And then the order came that we’d move, following Anderson’s trail. And the whole of the army got to its feet, and set off in the dark.” The night was clear black and moonless, without the usual cover of cloud that trapped starlight and diffused it toward the earth. As the Highland army made its way in silence down the narrow path behind Richard Anderson, each man could see no farther than the shuffling heels of the man before him, each step widening the trodden path through wet grass. The army moved almost without noise. Orders were relayed in murmurs from man to man, not shouted. Broadswords and axes were muffled in the folds of their plaids, powder flasks tucked inside shirts against fast-beating hearts. Once on sound footing, still in total silence, the Highlanders sat down, made themselves as comfortable as was possible without fire, ate what cold rations there were, and composed themselves to rest, wrapped in their plaids, in sight of the enemy’s campfires. “We could hear them talking,” Jamie said. His eyes were closed, hands clasped behind his head, as he leaned against the cottage wall. “Odd, to hear men laughing over a jest, or asking for a pinch of salt or a turn at the wineskin—and know that in a few hours, ye may kill them—or them you. Ye can’t help wondering, ye ken; what does the face behind that voice look like? Will you know the fellow if ye meet him in the morning?” Still, the tremors of anticipated battle were no match for sheer fatigue, and the “Black Frasers”—so called for the traces of charcoal that still adorned their features—and their chief had been awake for more than thirty-six hours by then. He had picked a sheaf of marrow-grass for a pillow, tucked the plaid around his shoulders, and lain down in the waving grass beside his men. During his time with the French army, years before, one of the sergeants had explained to the younger mercenaries the trick of falling asleep the night before a battle. “Make yourself comfortable, examine your conscience, and make a good Act of Contrition. Father Hugo says that in time of war, even if there is no priest to shrive you, your sins can be forgiven this way. Since you cannot commit sins while asleep—not even you, Simenon!—you will awake in a state of grace, ready to fall on the bastards. And with nothing to look forward to but victory or heaven—how can you be afraid?”
While privately noting a few flaws in this argument, Jamie had found it still good advice; freeing the conscience eased the soul, and the comforting repetition of prayer distracted the mind from fearful imaginings and lulled it toward sleep. He gazed upward into the black vault of the sky, and willed the tightness of neck and shoulders to relax into the ground’s hard embrace. The stars were faint and hazy tonight, no match for the nearby glow of the English fires. His mind reached out to the men around him, resting briefly on each, one by one. The stain of sin was small weight on his conscience, compared with these. Ross, McMurdo, Kincaid, Kent, McClure … he paused to give brief thanks that his wife and the boy Fergus at least were safe. His mind lingered on his wife, wanting to bask in the memory of her reassuring smile, the solid, wonderful warmth of her in his arms, pressed tight against him as he had kissed her goodbye that afternoon. Despite his own weariness and the waiting presence of Lord George outside, he had wanted to tumble her onto the waiting mattress right then and take her quickly, at once, without undressing. Strange how the imminence of fighting made him so ready, always. Even now … But he hadn’t yet finished his mental roster, and he felt his eyelids closing already, as tiredness sought to pull him under. He dismissed the faint tightening of his testicles that came at thought of her, and resumed his roll call, a shepherd treacherously lulled to sleep by counting the sheep he was leading to slaughter. But it wouldn’t be a slaughter, he tried to reassure himself. Light casualties for the Jacobite side. Thirty men killed. Out of two thousand, only a slim chance that some of the Lallybroch men would be among that number, surely? If she was right. He shuddered faintly under the plaid, and fought down the momentary doubt that wrenched his bowels. If. God, if. Still he had trouble believing it, though he had seen her by that cursed rock, face dissolving in terror around the panic-wide gold eyes, the very outlines of her body blurring as he, panicked also, had clutched at her, pulling her back, feeling little more than the frail double bone of her forearm under his hand. Perhaps he should have let her go, back to her own place. No, no perhaps. He knew that he should. But he had pulled her back. Given her the choice, but kept her with him by the sheer force of his wanting her. And so she had stayed. And given him the choice—to believe her, or not. To act, or to run. And the choice was made now, and no power on earth could stop the dawn from coming. His heart beat heavily, pulse echoing in wrists and groin and the pit of his stomach. He sought to calm it, resuming his count, one name to each heartbeat. Willie McNab, Bobby McNab, Geordie McNab … thank God, young Rabbie McNab was safe, left at home … Will Fraser, EwanFraser, Geoffrey McClure … McClure … had he touched on both George and Sorley? Shifted slightly, smiling faintly, feeling for the soreness left along his ribs. Murtagh. Aye, Murtagh, tough old boot … my mind is no troubled on your account, at least. William Murray, Rufus Murray, Geordie, Wallace, Simon … And at last, had closed his eyes, commended all of them to the care of the black sky above, and lost himself in the murmured words that came to him still most naturally in French—“Mon Dieu, je regrette …”[...]
Outside once more, I thought Jamie had fallen asleep. His face rested on his folded forearms, crossed on his knees. But he looked up at the sound of my step, and took my hand as I sat beside him. “I heard the cannon at dawn,” I said, thinking of the man inside, leg broken by a cannonball. “I was afraid for you.” He laughed softly. “So was I, Sassenach. So were we all.” Quiet as wisps of mist, the Highlanders advanced through the sea grass, one foot at a time. There was no sense of darkness lessening, but the feel of the night had changed. The wind had changed, that was it; it blew from the sea over the cold dawning land, and the faint thunder of waves on distant sand could be heard.
Despite his impression of continued dark, the light was coming.

Do You Believe In Fate // Part 4 // Aegon II x Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Tensions are high during dinner. The next day you all spend it outside but Cassandra decides to stir up trouble.
Warnings: None
Part 1 // Part 2 // Part 3 // Part 4 // Part 5 // Part 6
Tumblr media
Entering the dining room, all was quiet. Just like in the living room, there was thick tension. Alicent sat at the head of the table with Criston to her right. Across from Criston sat Helaena. Next to Helaena was Aegon and Cassandra. That left the seats next to Criston open.
Aemond played the part of the ever loving boyfriend perfectly. He pulled out your chair and kept your hand in his the whole time. You were sure to give him a sweet smile before sitting down. Aemond let go of your hand to seat himself but quickly had yours back in his grasp. He looked at you with a big, love struck eye. You let yourself get lost in it, thinking about looking into Aegon’s. Aemond simply gave you a knowing look and smirked.
Aegon cleared his throat. “Now that we're all here I’d love to share with you all how I proposed to my beautiful Cassandra.”
Bile ran up your throat but you swallowed it down.
“A story I'm wanting to hear since you didn't include me in it,” Alicent said.
Cassandra interjected before Aegon had a chance to speak. “Oh, it was so wonderful!”
A small frown appeared on Aegon’s face but was quickly replaced with a shit eating grin. Everyone else may have missed it but you didn't. You spotted Aegon taking his hand away from Cassandra and flexed it on the table. You knew Aegon well enough to know that he's the one who liked to tell the stories.
“He took me out to a beautiful park. We walked around admiring the trees and flowers and stuff.”
You coughed. “And stuff?”
“Hey, she may not be as good with words as you,” Aegon defended Cassandra, “but at least now she has a future husband.”
“Wow, what a great way to insult your fiance, Aegon.”
“I did not insult her!”
“You kind of did,” Aemond jumped in. “You said that she's not as eloquent as my girl and implied that her worth is just now important because she's engaged to you.”
Cassandra and Aegon looked at Aemond with their mouths open wide.
“Anyway,” Cassandra laughed, attempting to draw everyone’s attention again. “The park was beautiful and our walk had the best views. It was actually one of the first places Aegon took me when we started dating.”
You bit back a laugh knowing full well that Aegon wouldn’t take a date to a freaking park.
Cassandra continued with her story. “There was a bridge that looked across a stunning lake. He stopped me in the middle of the bridge and bent down on one knee. The rest is history.” She flashed a toothy smile and held out her hand to show off the sparkly diamond ring that adorned her finger.
Looking at the ring, you turned to Cassandra. “It’s so…you.”
Batting her eyelashes, she gave you an innocent smile. There was fire in her eyes, though. One that challenged you to say something else, to insult her. “Thank you. So when are you two going to get engaged?”
Aegon addressed Aemond but held your eyes. “Yeah, when?”
“Oh, we haven’t thought about that yet,” you jumped in. “We’re taking our time and we want to enjoy each other and not think or focus too hard about what’s ahead. Neither of us have graduated yet and we want to complete university before making any big decisions.”
“Well, you know what they say, brother,” again, Aegon only addressed Aemond. “Ring by spring; gotta get that ring before your final spring semester.”
“Hey,” Aemond gently gripped your chin so you could face him. “We’re in no rush, okay? We’ll take our time and we won’t let my brother, of all people, force us into something we’re not ready for.”
You nodded your head and brought his hand from your chin to your lips to brush a kiss on his knuckles. Silence enveloped the table again. While you were looking only at Aemond, you felt Aegon’s hot gaze on the back of your head.
Helaena broke the quietness. “Well, if anyone is interested, I’m now the proud parent of a lunar moth, comet moth, and a rosy maple moth!”
“Oh, tell me about them,” Alicent hopped on the train fast.
Helaena and Alicent talked about the moths, what their names are, what their personalities are like, and so on. If only they were real. Helaena was lying out of her ass and you couldn’t help but tuck your head into Aemond’s chest and laugh quietly.
Dinner ended up being a fairly quiet one. There was the occasional giggle from Cassandra, usually due to something Aegon whispered in her ear. Each giggle was like nails on a chalkboard. They grated against your brain and it made you want to throw up. Each time your jaw tense, though, Aemond was quick to place a hand on your leg or hand in show of silent support. Desserts were about to be passed around but you took that moment to call it a night.
“Alicent, it's been wonderful catching up with you, with everyone, really,” you nodded at Aegon and he returned it with a blank stare. “But I'm really tired and I think I'll turn in for the night. I assume I'm gonna be in Helaena's room?”
Alicent gave you a warm smile. “That's where I was initially going to put you for the night but since you and Aemond are dating you can sleep in his room if you'd like,” she turned to Aegon. “The same goes for you and Cassandra.”
You held back a cringe when she brought up Cassandra sleeping in Aegon’s room. Instead, you went to Alicent to give her a hug goodnight and left for Aemond's room.
Once you closed the door behind you, you knocked the back of your head against it.
“Stupid, stupid, stupid,” you muttered to yourself.
After a few moments of standing against the door and contemplating your life’s choices, you crossed over to the bed and plopped down face first. You let the quiet wash over you and calmed yourself before you could start thinking about everything that has happened within the last couple of hours.
“Can I come in?” Helaena was on the other side of the door. “I know you're in there and you're probably thinking about something silly. Let me in so we can talk, sweetie.”
Groaning, you got up and dragged your way to the door and opened it, revealing a worried Helaena. She enveloped you in a tight embrace as she stepped into the room.
As she released you from the hug she asked, “So, you're dating Aemond now, huh?”
You chuckled and shrugged, “Yeah, I guess I am.” Taking a deep breath, you looked at your friend with some insecurity. “I just didn't know what to do. I don't know if I want to make Aegon jealous or to do something to make him talk to me. I panicked, Hel, I really did, and now I don't know what I dragged Aemond into.”
“Speaking of the devil,” Helaena chimed as Aemond entered the room.
“You didn’t drag me into anything. I willingly went along with it, it’s okay,” he said. “Like I mentioned earlier, bringing Cassandra was a stupid move. I’m also pretty sure it’s fake. Aegon wouldn’t settle down that quickly, if at all.”
The more you thought about it, the more you agreed with Aemond. It didn’t make sense. While it was a few years ago, Aegon said that Cassandra was just fun, nothing serious.
“What’s your plan with the fake dating?” asked Helaena.
You weren’t confident in your answer, “I guess to make Aegon jealous? Try to lure him out of the engagement?”
“And if it’s real? His engagement?”
“Then I guess it’s time I let him go.”
Tumblr media
You woke up in Aemond’s bed feeling a little more steady than when you fell asleep. The events of yesterday settled in your mind and you had come up with a better game plan. Picking up your phone, you checked the time. It was early enough that no one else but Helaena would be awake; she’s always been an early riser. The soft snoring from the floor indicated that Aemond was still asleep. Very carefully, you got out of the bed and tiptoed around Aemond to leave the room.
As you exited the room you found that you were correct. There was someone in the kitchen, humming to themselves, as they prepared breakfast. You knew that humming anywhere. It was Helaena. A smile graced your lips as you made your way to the kitchen.
“Whatcha making this morning?” you greeted her.
Helaena looked over her shoulder to glance at you. “Just some eggs and bacon for everyone. Speaking of bacon, can you get started on them for me?”
“Of course!”
It was just like when you were younger, making breakfast with Helaena. The two of you would be the first ones awake and prepare it for everyone while you two had some girl talk.
“Sleep well? I know you had a comfy bed to share,” she winked.
Rolling your eyes, you prepared the sausages for the frying pan. “Yes, I was snuggled all up with Aemond and we whispered sweet nothings to each other.”
Helaena snickered, earning her a smack on the arm.
“He slept on the floor, you goof. I told him I’d take the floor but you know how he is. Always being the chivalrous one.”
“It sounded like Aegon had a silent night, I didn’t hear anything coming from his room.”
“Thank the gods. If there were noises coming from his room I’d be gone. I wouldn’t be able to stand that.”
“Gods, Aegon, you’re just so good in bed!” You heard Cassandra yell.
“And of course they’re both awake. Prepare yourself,” muttered Helaena.
“Shh! You don’t need to yell it for the whole house to hear!” You could hear Aegon smack his face with the palm of his hand. They weren’t exactly good at being quiet.
You glanced at Helaena, both of you concealing your desire to laugh as best as you could. It wasn’t until you noticed the smoke coming from your frying pan that you were brought back to your breakfast making.
“Oh, shit! The bacon!” You hastily got them off the pan and onto a plate.  “At least they’re not absolutely unedible?”
They were burnt to the point of almost being black and they crumbled at the slightest touch.
Helaena sighed. “Aegon will eat them.”
“I HEARD MY NAME!” He called from the hallway.
Cassandra and Aegon walked into the kitchen hand in hand.
“What is that delicious smell?” Cassandra asked.
“That would be burnt bacon,” you said matter-of-factly.
“My part of breakfast, however,” Helaena butt in, “is not burnt and is still edible. The bacon is only kind of edible.”
As Helaena passed you, you bumped her with your hip and stuck your tongue out.
“What a sophisticated woman you are,” she joked as she put the eggs on the dining room table.
Cassandra cocked her head to the side. “That’s all we have for breakfast?”
“You’re more than welcome to make whatever you like from what we have in the fridge,” Helaena offered.
“Aegon, why don’t you make her breakfast? Since you’re engaged and you obviously love her so much that you’re engaged,” Helaena said sweetly.
Aegon puffed out his chest. “That’s right. I do love her so much. Now,” he clapped his hands. “Where to start…”
“I would check to see what’s in the refrigerator first,” you suggested.
“Yeah, a great place to start. Let’s see here.” Aegon opened it up and rifled through its contents. “Leftovers!” He produced a container of last night’s dinner. “Perfect for breakfast, a reminder of last night!”
Cassandra’s eyes lit up. “Aw, Aegy, you’re the best!”
You threw up a little in your mouth. “Since that’s settled, I’m going to wake up Aemond for breakfast,” you said as you exited.
Once you were out of their view, you booked it to Aemond’s room.
“Aemond! Aemond!” you stage whispered once you were in his room. “Something is up with Cassandra and Aegon!”
Aemond groaned as he sat himself up. When you left the room he took his bed back. Rubbing the sleep out of his one eye, he tried to pay attention to your ramblings.
“Cassandra was saying something about how good he was in bed, ugh, but then Aegon told her to be quiet. If it were anyone else but Aegon I wouldn’t think anything of it but he has never minded his achievements being known. Even by family, which is a little much. And then -”
“Whoa, slow down,” Aemond stopped you. “Aegon is bragging again? That isn’t news.”
You sat down next to Aemond and hit his arm. “You’re not listening to me. Aegon was telling her to be quiet. Like he didn’t want anyone to hear anything. When Helaena suggested that Aegon make something for Cassandra for breakfast, he just pulled out some leftovers.”
“No, that’s pretty accurate. I wouldn’t look too deep into that. He’s always been too lazy to cook anything. He just rifles through the refrigerator.”
“Well, either way, something is up. I just know it.”
“Whatever it is, we’ll figure it out, I promise. Or we’ll just make Aegon miserable. I’m fine with both.” Aemond offered you a small smile. “Let me get changed and I’ll meet you in the kitchen.”
With a nod of your head, you left Aemond’s room. When you closed the door, however, you found yourself face to face with Aegon. You almost ran into him but stopped yourself. Taking a deep breath, you could smell his cologne, something so familiar yet so foreign. His violet eyes bore into yours.
“Doesn't sound so couple-y to me. Are you sure you and Aemond are actually in a relationship?” questioned Aegon.
“What, like you and Cassandra are the epitome of couples? You two don’t sound like a real couple either,” you shot back at him.
“Cassandra and I are engaged. As in we’re going to marry each other.”
You scoffed. “Yeah, don’t remind me.”
“Don’t tell me you’re jealous,” A smirk settled on Aegon’s lips.
“Of course I’m not jealous. I’m with Aemond, remember?”
“Ah yes, my brother. How could I forget that my once best friend is dating my brother?”
Heat boiled underneath your skin at him implication. “‘Once best friend?’ Don’t pin that on me, Aegon! You’re the one who left!”
“I didn't leave you!”
“You chose Cassandra over me. Once you started dating her you were never around anymore. No texts, nothing. So don't tell me you didn't leave me.” Tears burned in the corners of your eyes.
“But you avoided me! You were still around the house but would turn and walk away as soon as I showed up. You'd cross the street if we saw each other in town. Don't blame it all on me when you didn't put in any effort, either.” Aegon was stepping closer to you.
“Did you ever think, that maybe, just maybe, I didn't want to be around you because you hurt me? That maybe seeing you caused me pain, that it hurt seeing you happy with someone else? That it was best for me to just avoid it all to ease that pain? I lived in ignorant bliss, ignoring you and Cassandra. I could forget that we were ever close, that there was something between us, that thing that you denied was ever there. So sorry, sorry for moving on. Sorry for healing.” You tried to push past Aegon but he didn't budge.
Aemond's bedroom door opened behind you. He quickly spotted you and Aegon against the wall.
“Hey, back off of my girl,” he growled at his brother.
“Relax, brother. I wasn’t doing anything to hurt her.”
Aemond scoffed. “Yeah, and I have two eyes. You're not going to hurt her, not anymore.”
As Aemond whisked you away, he immediately began asking questions about Aegon and what all was said. By the time you two had made it to the living room, you had answered most of, if not all, his questions with a quick yes or no. Once on the couch, the two of you continued your conversation in hushed voices.
“I understand we're a fake couple,” Aemond started, “but our friendship is real and I refuse for you to be hurt by him again.” He held your hand tight in his.
Cassandra's voice cut to the living room. “I know, the ring is beautiful. He spent a fortune on it but, you know, he’ll do whatever he needs to do to keep my heart.”
You snorted at her proclamation. “Even she sounds fake, Aemond. You and I both know that Aegon wouldn't spend a shit ton of money on a ring.”
“Even if you're right, I don't want him to break your heart again.”
“He can't break my heart any more than he already has.”
“You say that but you know that's not true. Letting him in again gives him the opportunity to hurt you even more. I don't think I could stand by and watch that. Helaena wouldn't be able to, either.”
“I miss him so much, Aemond. Seeing him with Cassandra has always caused me pain but seeing him now makes me want to shake him and tell him to wake up. He's making stupid decisions but I've kind of missed that about him; his impulsivity and fuck it, let's go attitude.”
“We have today and tomorrow to get him to say something, if you're that sure. Other than that, I don't know when’s the next time you’ll see each other.”
“There's always the chance he'd come crawling to my dorm,” you joked.
“I wouldn't put it past him,” said Aemond. “I see the way he looks at you, when he thinks no one can see him. He doesn't look at Cassandra that way at all.”
You gave him a small smile. “Thanks, Aemond.”
Tumblr media
As with most family gatherings, Alicent and Criston convinced everyone to step outside for the day and relax completely unplugged. No phones.
“This is nice,” Helaena said as she spread out on the picnic blanket. “The food was wonderful, too.” She rested her hands on her stomach.
You laid down next to Helaena and looked up at the clouds. Aemond joined you two soon, and together you looked up at the clouds. This was something you’d do together when you were children and it was nice to revisit it. Various clouds made up various animals. It brought you a sense of peace, a good reprieve from the last twenty four hours.
A few feet away sat Aegon and Cassandra. They were complaining about not having their phones.
“I don’t understand the point of ‘unplugging’ when we’re just going to go back to the house and plug right in again. It’s stupid,” Cassandra said as she rolled her eyes.
“Eh, it’s my mother’s way to get us all to bond or something,” replied Aegon.
Cassandra huffed. “There’s nothing to do out here.”
“If you got your heads out of your phones and looked up every now and then you would see that there’s not nothing!” Helaena called to them.
“Says the bug girl!” Cassandra called back.
You turned your head to face Healena. “I’ll fight them for you, even Aegon.”
Helaena shrugged. “No worries, I am a bug girl and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.” She glanced at Aegon and Cassandra. “They’re not even holding hands. Are they even trying”
“Aemond and I aren’t holding hands,” you pointed out.
“Yeah, but you two naturally kind of meld together.”
“I’m not sure I like that.”
“It just means you’re compatible.”
You scrunched your nose. “Look, as much as I love Aemond, I can’t see myself with him. At all.”
“That’s fair.”
“Wow, way to make me feel great,” drawled Aemond.
Helaena jumped at his voice. “I thought you were asleep!”
“I was resting perfectly fine until you made a comment about how me and my best friend here would be compatible as a couple. That’s too weird.”
“And yet you two are playing the part perfectly.”
“Hel, whose side are you on?” you asked exasperatedly.
“Just playing devil’s advocate,” she smirked.
As your two friends settled back into their relaxing state, you looked over and saw Aegon mumble something to Cassandra that caused her to roll her eyes. Cassandra had a sly smile dance across her face briefly before grabbing Aegon by the back of his neck and pulling him into a searing kiss. He melted into the kiss and brought Cassandra closer to him. His hands wandered over her hips and came close to her ass. You could see him smile in the kiss and it made you want to throw up.
Looking at your friends you mumbled, “I think I’m going to go inside now.”
Aemond reached a hand out to stop you but you shrugged him off and made your way back inside. Wandering, you found yourself in Aemond’s room. At least there you could cry with the safety of no one finding you. At least you hoped no one would find you. You knew Aemond and Helaena weren’t too far behind you, both of them pissed at Aegon for making you upset again. A constant in your life, it seemed. It was Aegon that hurt you. Always Aegon. But it was also always Aegon who made you happy. Always Aegon who would make you laugh. It was only in the last few years that he has been hurting you.
Sitting on Aemond’s bed, you hugged yourself tight and shut your eyes. Seeing him kiss Cassandra instantly brought you to the dreaded party night; the night he abandoned you. Bringing your hand to your mouth, you let out a muffled sob. It was one thing to hear about them being engaged, another to think it to be fake, and then it being completely something else seeing them make out. The fact that Aegon pulled her closer is what made your heart crack. If Cassandra had only initiated the kiss you would have rolled your eyes. Aegon kissing back was a stab to the heart you were not expecting.
There was a soft knock at the door followed by Helaena’s soft voice. “Sweetie, are you okay?”
You didn’t respond. All you could do was let the tears flow.
“Let me go in, we’re supposed to be dating after all, Hel,” you heard Aemond say.
The door creaked open; followed by the sound of soft footsteps. You still refused to open your eyes. The mattress dipped next to you and a hand found its way to yours. Gently, it moved your hand from your mouth down to your lap. A soft kiss was pressed to your forehead and you were soon enveloped in a hug. Again the mattress dipped, but on the other side of you, and another set of arms brought you in for a group hug. You knew without a doubt it was Aemond and Helaena.
“I’m sorry,” you said against Aemond’s chest.
“Hey,” someone squeezed you. “There’s nothing to be sorry about. He’s stupid.”
“We all thought it was fake. Hell, he told me it was fake!” Your outburst pushed you away from the group hug. “He lied to me. He fucking lied.”
Helaena tried to reach for you. “You don’t know that.”
“How can you be taking his side? You just saw him eat Cassandra’s face!
“Aemond, say something!” Helaena tried to get him involved.
Aemond didn’t say anything.
Helaena groaned. “You two are so blinded. It was Cassandra who pulled him in for the kiss.”
“Yeah, but he kissed her back,” you pointed out.
“Because he knew you were watching and would get jealous.”
“Well, I’m jealous. Someone should find him and give him a gold star.”
“Gods, you two are so dense,” Helaena threw her hands up. “You need to stop fake dating Aemond and just talk to him!”
“I’ll stop fake dating Aemond when he stops supposedly being fake engaged to Cassandra,” you shot back. You pouted and crossed your arms over your chest.
“Fine. I’m calling an intervention, then.” Helaena crossed over to the door and left, not even bothering to close it.
“Oh, gods,” you groaned.
Aemond patted your back. “It shouldn’t be too bad. You know she wants the best for you and right now Aegon is being difficult and you’re being difficult so she’s trying to make you meet in the middle.”
Helaena popped back in the doorway. “Come on, girl. Just you. Aemond, you can stay here or something, it’s up to you, but you are not part of the intervention.”
“I’m okay with that.” He put up his hands in a mock surrender before giving you one last squeeze before you went with Helaena.
Helaena took your hand and led you to an extra room. Already there was Aegon, sitting on her bed.
“Here. Neutral ground. The guest room. Both of you are going to talk things out because you’re acting ridiculous,” Helaena said.
She plopped down on the floor and encouraged you and Aegon to do the same. Aegon mumbled something under his breath about not wanting to sit on the floor but he did so anyway. You, on the other hand, immediately sat down. There was a tension between you and Aegon. So much has been left unsaid that it’s made the relationship between you two muddled. You held his gaze when neither of you said anything.
“One of you has to speak first; I’m not gonna call on you like you’re in a classroom,” Helaena chided.
“Fine, I’ll go first,” you said. Taking a deep breath, you tried to calm yourself before you let out a storm of emotions. “Aegon, this is stupid. We shouldn’t need Hel here to be a mediator between us but apparently we do. We had this talk earlier but you hurt me. You hurt me bad. I know we were interrupted by Aemond but then you go around and make out with Cassandra to rub it in? Great, I feel great. Seeing you eat her face made me feel so good about myself and my relationship you. Totally didn’t make me rethink everything and bring back old feelings of abandonment.”
“Cassandra was the one who kissed me. I didn’t start the kiss -” Aegon tried to say.
“But you still kissed her back. I was there, Aegon.”
“We are fake!” he threw his hands in the air. “We aren’t together. The engagement? Fake. The relationship? Fake. Well, it was real and then it was fake but that doesn’t matter.”
“Of course it was real, Aegon. I’ve seen you make out with her before. Still feels like being stabbed, though,” you mumbled the last part to yourself.
“What was that, bestie?” He spat out the name.
“Oh, shut up. Don’t get mad at me when you’re the one who fucking left.”
“You’re the one who didn’t go after me!”
You scoffed. “Okay, so it’s all my fault because I didn’t push through the absolute heartbreak of losing my best friend, and crush, to someone else? My bad. So sorry.”
“If you really liked me you would’ve called me out!”
“And I tried! Before Cassandra even stepped into your life I called you out for treating me differently, to acting differently when you were around different people. But you never took any of it seriously. You just brushed me off, something you’re doing right now.”
Aegon closed his eyes. “Hel, I don’t think you need to be here for this.”
There was no response from her but you heard the opening and closing of the bedroom door.
Aegon brought his hands up to rub his face. “Okay, let’s go,” he said to himself.
You rolled your eyes at his dramatics but didn’t say anything.
“I never meant to hurt you.”
“Yeah, you did that well,” you commented.
Aegon gave you a look before continuing. “I was stupid when I was younger, we both know that. I didn’t think straight and yeah, I mainly thought with my dick.”
“Your dick sure thought a lot about Cassandra.”
“Yes, it did.” He looked you in the eye. “But I know better now. Cassandra never has been the end all, be all. She’s been fun. That’s all she’s ever been.”
“That’s what you told me at the party but that’s not what I see right now. Right now, I see you engaged to someone you claim has never been serious to you.”
“She hasn’t!”
“Look at it from my perspective, Aegon. Or should I say Aegy since that’s what you’re so lovingly called.”
Aegon flinched at the nickname.
“All that I know is that you replaced me.”
“I didn’t replace you, I promise. No one could,” Aegon begged.
He reached out for your hands but you recoiled at his touch.
“How am I supposed to defend myself if you’re constantly denying me?”
“How can I? Because all your actions have proven to me that you don’t care. Maybe you did when we were younger but not anymore. That much is clear.”
Aegon’s voice broke. “I care about you. Please, I do, you have to believe that.”
“Sure.”
He took a deep breath. “Let me prove it to you then.”
Before you knew it, Aegon crashed his lips to yours. You were stunned at first but slowly melted into him. It was over as soon as it started.
“I never stopped thinking about you,” he whispered.
You closed your eyes in contentment for a quick second before pushing him away.
“A kiss? That’s how you prove it to me?”
“Actions speak louder than words, don’t they?”
“But this? Aegon, you’re engaged!”
“I’m not! I’ve been trying to tell you that. It’s all fake, Cassandra is fake. I told her should could be my fake fiance if…”
“If what?”
Aegon didn’t speak.
“Aegon, what did you do?”
“She said she’d be my fake fiance if I’d fuck her.”
“Wouldn’t think you’d mind. You always wanted her,” you laughed mirthlessly.
“That’s the thing, I do mind. I thought I wouldn’t but the whole time I was with her I was thinking about you. You’re the only one I want.”
“I’m sure you’ve discovered this after sleeping with a shit ton of other girls, right?”
“So what? In the end it’s you. It’s always been you.”
You closed your eyes before giving him a chance. “One date. I’ll give you one date.”
A smile spread across Aegon’s face before it turned back into a frown. “Aren’t you dating Aemond?”
“No, he… Aemond got roped into my insecurities and being the good guy that he is, he went all in with it. We’re not dating.”
Aegon smiled. “Good, good - I mean, not good? Maybe good?”
“It’s fine, Aegon.” You smiled back.
“I guess I should tell everyone I’m not engaged?”
“Yeah, that would probably be a good thing. Your mother is probably already planning.”
Aegon got up to leave but leaned down to give you a quick kiss on the cheek. Unlike the first kiss, this one had you blushing.
“I’ll be back,” he promised.
You laughed. “No need, Aegon. I need to talk to Helaena and Aemond anyway.”
Aegon gave you one last wink then left the room.

The days on bed rest seemed to drag on, even though you tried to keep yourself busy. Most of your time was spent cooking, eating, reading, and slowly organizing Cillian’s apartment. He was still settling in, so there were plenty of boxes to unpack, though you had to be careful not to overdo it. Despite the doctor's orders to rest, it was hard for you to sit still. You hated the boredom that came with lying in bed all day.
A week had passed, and Cillian couldn’t have been more attentive. He ran baths for you, went to the shops to get your cravings, and brought home all the ingredients you wanted for cooking. And when he wasn’t looking, you would sneak in a little laundry or some light cleaning, even though you knew he wouldn’t approve. You were restless, and keeping busy with cooking—making pastries, biscuits, and preparing lunch each day—helped fill the hours.
On Friday afternoon, you were lying in bed after lunch, having just gotten off the phone with your sister, Ash. She’d agreed to come next week after you confessed how stir-crazy you were becoming. You hadn’t told Cillian yet, but with Ash and Liam coming, you figured you’d all stay at your place so she could take care of anything you needed. You were eager to see them and get a little practice with Liam before your own baby girl arrived.
Cillian was in the kitchen cleaning up after lunch, while you lay in bed, your hands absentmindedly pressing on your belly. Each time you pressed gently, your daughter pushed back, her movements reassuring you. Every kick filled you with a warm sense of relief, knowing she was alright in there, growing stronger by the day.
Cillian’s phone rang, piercing through the stillness of the afternoon. You were lying in bed, letting your eyes close, but the familiar tone of his voice immediately caught your attention. It was sharper than usual, tense.
“Siobhan,” he answered, already bracing himself for whatever was coming. You listened from the bedroom, the soft mumble of her voice barely audible through the walls, but you couldn’t make out her words.
“What do you mean he doesn’t want to come?” Cillian’s voice cut through the air, more agitated now. “That’s nonsense, Siobhan. We agreed he’d spend the weekend with me.”
Your heart sank as you realized this had to be about Niall—his son. You’d overheard Cillian mention earlier that Niall was supposed to come over for the weekend. This visit had clearly been something he was looking forward to, and now something had changed.
Cillian’s voice hardened. “We have a legal agreement. He’s supposed to be with me this weekend.”
From your spot in bed, you could only hear one side of the conversation, but the shift in his posture—tense, agitated—told you that whatever Siobhan was saying was pushing him to the edge. He leaned against the kitchen counter, one hand on his hip, the other gripping the phone tightly.
You couldn’t hear her words, but the bitterness in her tone seemed to cut through the silence. Then you heard it, muffled but unmistakable.
“I don’t want him around her,” Siobhan spat, venom clear in her voice.
Your stomach clenched. You knew exactly who she was talking about.
Cillian’s voice dropped, taking on a colder tone. “This has nothing to do with Y/N, Siobhan,” he said, trying to keep his composure. “I’ve told you before—this is about Niall and me. You can’t use him like this.”
You pressed your hands over your belly, feeling the familiar kick of your daughter as tension built in the room. Cillian’s frustration was palpable, and you could imagine what Siobhan was saying on the other end. She didn’t want Niall near you, blaming you for everything. The resentment in her voice felt like a knife being twisted.
“I’m not going to let you punish me by keeping him away,” Cillian continued, his voice cracking slightly, but he steadied it. “You’re using him to get back at me, and it’s not fair to him.”
Siobhan’s response was quieter, but you caught some of it now. The cruel edge in her words sent a shiver down your spine. “You think I’m going to let her near my son? You’ve already destroyed our family, and now you want to replace me?”
Cillian’s hand tightened around the phone, his knuckles white. “No one is replacing you, Siobhan,” he said, exasperated. “This isn’t about you or her. It’s about Niall, and he needs both of us.”
There was a beat of silence on the other end before Siobhan’s voice came back, cold and cutting. “I don’t want her anywhere near him, Cillian. I don’t care what you think.”
You felt a pit form in your stomach, a mix of guilt and anger building inside you. You never wanted to come between Cillian and his son, but now it seemed like you were at the center of the conflict whether you liked it or not.
Cillian ran a hand through his hair, his frustration spilling out. “This is ridiculous,” he snapped. “You can’t make decisions for me like this. We agreed—Niall stays with me this weekend. I haven’t seen him in days, and I’m not going to just roll over because you’re upset.”
Siobhan’s response was even colder now. “You should’ve thought about that before you decided to play house with someone else.”
You winced at the venom in her voice. The accusation stung, even though you weren’t in the room. Cillian let out a long, frustrated sigh, his patience wearing thin.
“This is about Niall,” he said again, quieter this time but firm. “I’ll talk to him myself, but you need to stop dragging him into this. He deserves better than being caught in the middle of our issues.”
There was a final, terse exchange of words you couldn’t hear, and then Cillian hung up, tossing his phone onto the counter with a heavy thud. He stood there for a moment, his shoulders slumped, his hands resting on the edge of the sink as he took deep breaths to steady himself.
He walked to the couch and sat down heavily, burying his face in his hands. You stayed quiet in the bedroom, unsure of what to do. The weight of the conversation hung in the air between you like a heavy fog.
Cillian had been trying so hard to make things work, to be present for both Niall and you, but the strain was clear. He was fighting battles on every front—his past, his present, and now, this tug-of-war over his son. You could feel his sadness, frustration, and guilt seeping through the walls. He missed Niall terribly, and now he was being kept away from him again.
You wanted to go to him, to offer comfort, but you also didn’t want to intrude. You knew this wasn’t your fight, but it hurt to know you were part of what was tearing him apart.
For now, you stayed in bed, trying to process everything you’d overheard. You’d ask him about it later, but for now, you’d give him the space he needed to gather his thoughts.
You woke up from your nap two hours later, the setting sun casting a warm, golden glow through the curtains. Groaning, you cursed yourself for not closing them before laying down. Cillian had told you so, and now you could almost hear his amused, “Told ya.”
Rubbing your eyes, you slid out of bed, padding quietly into the kitchen in search of a snack. The craving hit almost immediately. You grabbed a jar of pickles from the fridge and took a crunchy bite, savoring the tangy flavor as you turned to look for Cillian.
Glancing out the window, you spotted him sitting on the patio, a beer in hand, gazing at the fading horizon. He looked deep in thought, the weight of his earlier conversation with Siobhan still lingering in the air.
You felt a wave of worry for him. It had been a tough day, and while you weren’t sure what to say, you knew he needed comfort. You slid open the patio door quietly and stepped outside. The cool evening breeze was a refreshing contrast to the warmth of the sun's last rays.
Cillian turned the moment he sensed you, his expression softening when his eyes met yours. Despite everything, you always had a way of making him feel better. "Hi," you said, offering a small smile. "Mind if I join you?"
“Course not,” he replied, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he shifted to make room for you on the patio sofa. You tucked your legs beneath you, trying to warm your cold feet, and he instinctively wrapped his arm around your shoulders, pulling you close. You rested your head against his chest, feeling the rise and fall of his breath as he took a sip of his Guinness.
The silence between you was comforting, the cool evening air mixing with the warmth of his presence. You gazed out at the garden, the lush green grass glowing under the dusky light.
“This is a great garden you’ve got,” you commented softly, breaking the silence. “You should plant some flowers or plants in the spring. It would look gorgeous.”
Cillian chuckled, the sound low and comforting. “Yeah? What would you suggest?”
“Hmm, maybe some lavender or hydrangeas,” you mused. “Something low maintenance.”
Cillian hummed in agreement, but the peaceful moment between you was weighed down by an unspoken tension. Despite the serenity of the evening, you could sense his mind was still caught up in his earlier fight with Siobhan.
After a few quiet minutes, you gently brought it up, not wanting to tiptoe around it any longer. “I heard you talking to Siobhan earlier,” you said softly, looking up at him. He swallowed hard as he listened, bracing himself for what you might say next. “Ash is coming next week, so I can go back to mine. I don’t want to be the reason you can’t see Niall.”
Your words hung in the air, tentative and careful, as if you were trying to ease his burden. You didn’t want to cause him any more pain, especially when it came to his son.
“I’m sure I’ll be fine,” you added quickly, sensing the conflict in him. “I have a check-up on Monday, and Ash will be with me. Really, it’s okay.”
Cillian’s brow furrowed, his confusion evident as he processed your offer. “Hey, no, no—don’t worry about that,” he said, leaning in to press a tender kiss to your temple. His lips were warm and familiar against your skin, and you closed your eyes at the soft touch. “Don’t worry about her. She’s just angry… but it’s not your fault. You don’t have to go.”
His voice was gentle but firm, pleading in a way that tugged at your heart. “She has to understand that this is my life right now,” he said, his eyes searching yours. “Please don’t go, Y/N. I need you here.”
His words melted through your defenses, and you felt a sudden wave of love for him at his raw honesty. He brought his hand to your face, his fingers soft as they caressed your cheek. The tenderness in his touch made your heart ache, and without thinking, you leaned in to meet his lips in a gentle kiss.
It was slow, almost hesitant at first, as if he was savoring the moment. His lips were soft, tasting you with a tenderness that spoke volumes of the affection he held for you. His hand remained on your cheek, thumb brushing lightly against your skin, grounding you in that intimate moment. You kissed him back with equal softness, pouring all your feelings into the quiet exchange.
Cillian pulled back just enough to whisper, his breath mingling with yours, “I love you.”
Your heart skipped at the quiet confession, and without a word, you kissed him again—deeper this time, allowing yourself to fully surrender to the warmth of his embrace. The world outside faded away as you both lost yourselves in the quiet reassurance of that moment, his love wrapping around you like a cocoon.
When you finally broke apart, you rested your head against his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat under your ear. The last rays of sunlight had disappeared, leaving a dusky twilight in their wake. You both gazed out at the horizon in silence, the weight of his earlier frustration slowly dissolving.
“Ash is still coming, though,” you murmured after a while, breaking the silence. “But you can go stay at mine if you want. You don’t have to be here if things get… complicated.”
He smiled softly at your offer, though you could sense the slight reluctance in his voice as he replied, “Okay.”
You stayed like that until the chill of the evening became too much to bear. With a contented sigh, you finally stood up, and Cillian followed you inside. As you made your way to the kitchen, Cillian grabbed the kettle, filling it with water to make tea.
After dinner, you chatted for a while before both making your excuses to head to bed. But as you lay there, staring at the ceiling, you realized sleep wasn’t coming. You weren’t tired, but more than that, you were simply uncomfortable. The familiar ache in your back had you tossing and turning for what felt like hours.
With a frustrated groan, you sat up and slipped out of bed, padding quietly down the hall. In the lounge, you found Cillian sitting on the couch, the TV softly playing in the background. He wasn’t paying attention to it, though—he was engrossed in a book, a parenting guide of all things.
You smiled to yourself and walked over to join him, sinking down beside him. “Studying?” you teased with a gentle nudge. He didn’t even look up, so focused on whatever chapter he was on.
“Did you know there were this many exercises to get rid of gas?” he said, shaking his head in disbelief. “Back in my day, we just did the pat on the back thing.”
“Yeah, well, that’s better than having a baby full of colic crying at 3 a.m.,” you retorted, flopping back into the couch with a dramatic sigh. You rubbed your belly absentmindedly, feeling restless. The TV flickered, but you barely paid attention to it.
Cillian glanced over at you, sensing your frustration. “Can’t sleep?” he asked.
“Nope. My back hurts every time I lay down,” you muttered, your voice laced with irritation.
“Can’t you take something for it?” he asked, his concern evident.
“Tylenol doesn’t help, and I can’t take anything stronger,” you sighed, feeling the weight of the discomfort pressing in.
He went back to his book, but not without resting a comforting hand on your leg, grounding you with his presence. You scrolled through the channels, mindlessly searching for something to watch, but nothing held your interest. After a while of silence, you suddenly sat up.
“I’m hungry,” you announced, standing up and making your way to the kitchen.
“Do you have honey?” you called over your shoulder, rummaging through the cupboards.
“Yeah, it should be in the cupboard above the kettle,” Cillian responded, his voice trailing off as you heard the sounds of things being shuffled around.
A few minutes later, you returned to the living room carrying a tray of cheese and a jar of honey, along with a spoon. You plopped down on the couch, setting the tray on the coffee table, earning a soft chuckle from Cillian as he eyed your bizarre combination.
“What?” you said, your mouth already full of cheese.
He smiled, shaking his head with amusement. “Nothing.”
You raised an eyebrow at him. “You should try it before you judge me,” you defended your odd late-night snack.
“Does it taste good?” he asked skeptically, clearly doubting the genius behind the mix.
“It’s unreal,” you replied with a satisfied roll of your eyes, savoring the sweetness of the honey against the sharpness of the cheese.
Cillian set his book aside, intrigued. “Alright, give us a taste,” he said, reaching over for a cube of cheese. He drizzled some honey on it and popped it into his mouth. He chewed thoughtfully for a moment before nodding. “It’s alright, I guess.”
You narrowed your eyes suspiciously, playfully swatting him. “Whatever. It’s your loss—it’s delicious,” you declared, popping another piece into your mouth with a satisfied grin.
Cillian chuckled, shaking his head. “It’s just... it’s a weird mix,” he said, still smiling.
“It’s not the weirdest craving, to be honest,” you replied nonchalantly, leaning back into the couch as you thought of all the odd things you’d craved lately.
“Oh yeah? What’s the weirdest?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.
You swallowed before answering, taking a moment to consider. “Once, I ate a blueberry muffin with avocado. That was actually really good,” you said, nodding to yourself.
Cillian's jaw dropped, his eyes widening. “A muffin avocado? That’s criminal,” he laughed, looking at you in disbelief.
You grinned, enjoying his reaction. “Oh, and once I had carrot cake with hot sauce. That was amazing. I’m definitely doing that again,” you added, your eyes lighting up at the memory.
Cillian threw his head back with a mix of laughter and horror. “That’s disgusting! What’s going on in your head to come up with this stuff?”
“It’s the baby!” you laughed, pointing at your stomach as if to blame her for all your wild cravings. Then, smirking, you added, “Come on, Cill. You like capers! How can you like capers? They’re disgusting.”
Cillian feigned offense, placing a hand over his heart. “Oi, capers are a classic. A classic! Not whatever abomination you just described.”
You rolled your eyes, and both of you burst into more laughter. The lightheartedness of the moment was exactly what you needed. But after nearly devouring all the cheese, a more serious thought crossed your mind. “Have you thought of any baby names? cause-” you pause to lick the honey out your fingers. “I haven't got a clue what to name her to be honest.”
Cillian turned to face you, his brow furrowed in thought. “I’ve thought of a few,” he admitted, though a little uncertain, “but none of them really convince me.”
Your interest piqued, and you asked, “What are they? I’m desperate for ideas at this point.”
He hesitated for a second before listing off a few. “Eva... Maeve…”
“Mmm,” you responded, your face scrunching up a bit. None of those really clicked with you, and Cillian seemed to pick up on your lack of enthusiasm.
After a few minutes of brainstorming, tossing names back and forth, nothing seemed to stick. He sighed, feeling the pressure of finding the perfect name. Then, almost as an afterthought, he said quietly, “Elisa?”
You froze for a moment, processing the name, before your face lit up. “Yessss! Elisa!” you exclaimed, jumping slightly with excitement.
Cillian looked at you, still a bit surprised. “Really? Elisa?”
“Yes! Elisa. Elisa Day,” you repeated with certainty, the name feeling just right as it flowed off your tongue.
He tilted his head thoughtfully, then smiled. “It’s like that Nick Cave song, *Where the Wild Roses Grow* with Kylie Minogue,” he stated, his deep knowledge of music kicking in as usual. He knew it all.
“Yep, that’s exactly where I got it from,” you nudged him playfully. “You’re such a know-it-all.”
He chuckled, shaking his head. “Of course, you’d pick something like that.”
“I’ve always loved that name,” you confessed softly, snuggling closer and resting your head against his chest. His heartbeat was steady and comforting. “I think it’s really beautiful. Plus, I love Kylie, so….”
You trailed off, your smile widening as you pictured your little girl with the name Elisa. It felt perfect now that you had something more concrete to call her.
“Alright then, Elisa Day it is,” Cillian agreed, his voice warm and tender. Now, fully convinced, he could picture her better, too—their daughter, Elisa.
Leaning down, he pressed a soft kiss to your lips, sealing the moment with that shared joy and quiet understanding. You melted into him, your heart swelling with love for this little family you were building together.

A Letter To Old Days.
Warnings? None, really! Mostly fluffy, with plenty of longing. Toto Wolff x Reader. One shot.
Words: 1.176.
You remember your 19 years as if it were today, when you used to accompany your younger brother to karting classes. One day, you’re sitting by the edge of the racetrack, impatient, your face resting on the palm of your hand, your eyes wandering bored over the boys zigzagging with their karts. The next, you’re there willingly, observing every movement, waiting with a silent anticipation that you don’t dare confess even to yourself.
At first, the minutes dragged; you counted your brother’s laps on the track as if they were the beats of a lazy clock. But later, each hour seemed to dissolve between muffled laughter and glances that you couldn’t decipher. You vividly remember the days when your mother insisted you go along to the practices, your presence becoming a routine.
You thought you were there out of obligation, a shadow following your younger brother like an obedient guard dog, not realizing that your own freedom was beginning to intertwine with that space.
That’s when your thoughts began to take shape on the pages of your notebook:
So, there is this boy...
Tall, dark-haired, with a smile you couldn’t decipher. He was a bit odd, too quiet for someone who dealt with speed and adrenaline. There was a shyness there, something you couldn’t quite identify at first.
Always observant, always attentive to details that escaped others. Maybe it was this quietness that caught your attention.
Back then, you weren’t good at understanding boys’ behavior. You thought he simply hadn’t noticed you in the same way. Maybe he was just another attentive instructor, too focused on his job to pay attention to the girl who was always hanging around, pretending to be disinterested.
Until your best friend, always more perceptive, said something that caught you by surprise: “You two are flirting. But in the most awkward and innocent way possible.” And suddenly, everything made sense.
The way he hesitated when talking to you, always looking for an excuse to prolong the conversations. The fleeting glances he’d throw your way while adjusting your brother’s helmet, as if he wanted to make sure you were really there. And those smiles... those restrained smiles you thought were just professional courtesy. Casual questions about university exams, musical tastes, anything that could prolong that shared moment.
And, somehow, even without fully understanding it, you started to write more about him in your notebook, as if each word could capture what you felt and the things you didn’t know how to say out loud.
By the time you realized what could have been between you, he had already left the racetrack. So, he ended up being just a few more pages in your notebook, mixed with notes on dreams and random thoughts.
He had dropped out of university, changed jobs, and moved to another country to pursue his dream of becoming a driver. And there, facing the void he had left behind, you found yourself wondering if it had all just been your imagination.
Maybe it was just a game your mind played.
And that was okay if it was. Because, in that moment, you discovered what it was like to fall in love for the first time.
You fell for him.
The first year of university passed in a blur. You threw yourself into studies and social events, not because you were particularly interested, but because it felt like the only way to silence that nagging sense of something missing. You changed majors twice, joined a few clubs, even went to a couple of parties where you pretended to have fun, but nothing really clicked.
Your friends found it odd—how you always seemed a little disconnected, a little too preoccupied. They teased you for being too serious or too grown-up. You’d smile and brush it off, but deep down, you knew they were right. You were trying to outrun something you couldn’t quite name.
Ten years had passed, and your life had taken a direction that the impatient and rebellious nineteen-year-old you once were could never have imagined. Today, you worked in international tax consulting, dealing with numbers, laws, and complex agreements that filled your days and drained your energy. But, even surrounded by folders and endless spreadsheets, motorsport still managed to find its way into your life.
Your brother, now older and even more determined, continued his journey in karting. What began as a youthful passion had turned into a dream he pursued with surprising tenacity. You found yourself frequenting the racetracks again, watching his practice sessions, now as a spectator and supporter, no longer as a reluctant guardian.
Your fiancé — or rather, your ex-fiancé — shared the same passion. He was a fascinating, elegant man, and like so many others, absolutely obsessed with motorsport. You traveled together to watch races, discussed drivers and teams, followed the transfer market with enthusiasm. In the beginning, it seemed perfect. He understood your past, your involvement in the sport through your brother.
Your best friend still kept in touch with him, the boy from your teenage years, and would occasionally update you on his life. This connection, however tenuous, was enough to stir a sense of familiarity, a bittersweet nostalgia that made your ex-fiancé uneasy. He’d raise an eyebrow whenever your friend's updates slipped into conversation, sensing a thread that seemed to pull you back to a past he couldn’t reach.
It wasn’t long before that subtle tension unraveled the engagement. You found yourself standing alone in a bridal boutique in Paris—Rosa Clará, one of those elegant places with gilded mirrors and delicate lace draped over every surface—returning the wedding dress you had once chosen with such certainty. There was an odd comfort in the transaction, as if letting go of the dress was the final step in freeing yourself from a future that no longer felt like your own.
As you handed the dress back, the shop assistant gave you a sympathetic smile, one that didn’t quite reach her eyes. You wondered briefly if she knew the story behind every gown that was returned. The dress, so carefully chosen, now felt like a stranger in your hands—something beautiful and full of promise, yet utterly disconnected from the woman you were now.
When you realized it, you had taken a few days off work and flown back to Styria. You were sitting in Café Strauss, waiting for your friend, your eyes drifting to the door every few minutes. You had just ordered a latte and a slice of sachertorte, letting the steam from your cup calm your nerves, when someone gently asked if they could join you.
“Can I join you?” The voice was tentative, as if testing the waters.
You looked up, expecting your friend, but instead, there he was. The same intense, unwavering gaze, with a more confident smile, yet still that familiar hint of shyness.
“Oh…” You paused, a smile tugging at your lips as you gestured to the chair. “Hi, Toto.” And in that moment, you knew—your friend wasn’t going to show up anytime soon.
And you are still falling.
