i add all of my "top 100 hundred songs" to an over arching playlist going back to 2017 and what's fascinating and what i never realized at the time each was made is when listening now i can tell you almost exactly what year it was from that i listened to it so much it got added to the playlist and i can tell you what i was going through 2017 big emo depressed all the time very lonely 2018 lost my best friend but learned to laugh and appreciate musicals more and started seeing live music 2019 venturing out to new smaller artists really figuring out what i like while dealing with the fact that i was no longer a little kid 2020 we all know 2021 can we try again can we go back i think im ready 2022 i am the problem! i am the problem! but still i keep trying! 2023 deep regret and yearning for what i don't think im capable of 2024 understanding and sitting with and acknowledging my trauma and... letting it go and saying "i deserve better than whatever that was" like all of these things and who i was and am come through in the songs i listen to every year and it didn't hit me until now 🧍🏼‍♀️

As gen-AI becomes more normalized (Chappell Roan encouraging it, grifters on the rise, young artists using it), I wanna express how I will never turn to it because it fundamentally bores me to my core. There is no reason for me to want to use gen-AI because I will never want to give up my autonomy in creating art. I never want to become reliant on an inhuman object for expression, least of all if that object is created and controlled by tech companies. I draw not because I want a drawing but because I love the process of drawing. So even in a future where everyone’s accepted it, I’m never gonna sway on this.

the minute you say a number your readers can check your math and you cannot do math better than your most autistic critic. i guarantee. don't let your readers do any math. when did something happen? awhile ago. how many bullets can that gun fire? trick question, it shoots lasers, and it shoots em HARD.

you are lying to people for fun. if you let them do math at you the lie collapses and it's no fun anymore.
