So,I read silver's relaxation vigente and now I'm sad for the poor boy. If lilia broke up silver's curse why is it acting so strongly on him?

to be fair, the chronological placement of his birthday story just doesn't make any sense in general. like, it can only really take place during his second year, since Ace and Malleus are both there...yet we have seen pretty definitively what Silver was doing on the evening before/morning of his 18th birthday, and it was very much NOT his history homework. this myth?

jk jk I think it's just one of those card stories that's meant to be more...perpendicular to canon, if that makes sense? 😅 like a lot of them aren't really supposed to fit into a specific point in the timeline; instead all the characters and relationships tend to be somewhere vaguely post-episode 1 (occasionally with a bonus post-6 Ortho) except Yuu is already friends with everyone and nobody is surprised to hear them call Malleus Tsunotarou.

mostly they can get away with it, but it starts getting a bit weird with the cards that are supposed to be set at specific times. :T for those I think you gotta just kind of suspend your disbelief and take 'em as, like...little what-if AUs, or something like that! it's not exactly not canon, but more like. this is Silver's birthday if none of the narrative development happened and so his curse is still in effect, or something. 🤷 uhhhh basically Twst's timeline is an eldritch thing that cannot be perceived by mortal eyes, to try will lead to nothing but suffering, down this path dwells only madness.

that said I do 100% accept the presented canon that Silver's roommate is in eternal torment. this is the real victim of Twst right here.

favorite thing about them: his lies of course!! especially when he uses them to bully dice, like it's an extremely entertaining facet of his personality but not only entertaining. it's deeply compelling to me as well, being led around (just like dice) and made to question what is and isn't real about him. the way his character has unfolded throughout the series has just been *chef's kiss* a delight to see

favorite line: okay this isn't strictly speaking a "line" but i'm probably going to choose favorite moments from the lives for these because that is what i'm into lol. and for gentaro it's EASILY the moment at... i think it was 2nd or 3rd live, whichever one soma didn't miss. so this was eons ago, and it was his first performance of scenario liar, where he was holding an open book while he performed. so it looked like he was reading all the lyrics off the page but then AT THE END he turned the book around and hit us with that maa zenbu uso nandakedo ne while showing us that THE PAGES WERE COMPLETELY BLANK love love loved that for him

brOTP: hmmmmm fling posse forever but i don't think they're necessarily a brotp (fling posse ot3 real) so for this one i'll say i really enjoy the idea of gendice and hifudo becoming friends in the future. i always think of this one fan comic i saw many many many years ago where dice was like passed out naked (i think he had boxers on at least) in the street after losing everything at pachinko or whatever, and i think it was... doppo? or maybe hifumi? one of them saw him on the street and brought him home. then the other came home and was like [terrifiedhamster.jpg] but they fed him and put him under their kotatsu until gentaro came to pick him up. love that dynamic for them lol

random headcanon: SPEAKING OF HITOGEN. i doubt i'll ever write this fic idea so i'll just say it lmao. so this is entirely about the arb tennis event and how tennis gentaro looks wildly like a bored housewife who's looking to cheat on his husband (dice) with his cranky old tennis instructor (hitoya). anyway that's not the fic idea, the fic idea is gendice where gentaro writes a steamy, smutty romance novel solely for dice to read, where the characters are blatantly a gentaro self-insert hooking up with tennis instructor hitoya while gentaro's husband dice is away on a business trip. "crab how is this a headcanon" OK SO GETTING BACK TO THE POINT the headcanon i have is gendice would be into ntr but with like. extra steps lmao. not ntr in practice but ntr in gentaro's writing

favorite line: this is going to be another live event but it's after he performed requiem at... i think 6th live? possibly 8th, but i think it was 6th. or maybe it was both. anyway it was all dramatic lighting and a very intense performance as usual, then at the end when the lights came back up he put on a super cute voice and went "......tadaima 🥰🥰🥰" like OUGH the. the cutest baby. in the world.

brOTP: RIO!!!!!! UNCLE RIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is definitely highly influenced by the amachan and kamio shenanigans that seem to go on at every live lol but i love the idea of saburo actually getting along really well with rio and going on excursions with him (he can't be on the computer all day) and it's especially funny to me because jyuto would be such a grump about the two of them getting along. that one time amachan and kamio were annoying komachan while he was practicing private time was like. lmao. the perfect dynamic for them

I spent a lot of time handcuffed and in a cage in high school, for a charity bit the grocery store I worked at would do

the bit was that I was "put in jail for having too big a heart" and customers could donate to my bail to get me out (and the money would go to a children's hospital or something)

now. I was very clearly a teenaged employee handcuffed inside a large cage. and I would honestly tell people that I had been in there for hours. and people would say, that's terrible! that's awful! and I would show them my wrists red from the tight handcuffs, and say but I'm sooooooo close to making bail.

and then they would dump some cash in the basket, I'd thank them, and they'd walk away.

and every so often, one of the managers would come by and collect some of the cash, so I could keep being soooooo close to making bail.

I was very good with this bit. Parents with small kids would pay $5-10 if I told their children I had been placed in jail for not cleaning my room/doing my homework, etc. For people in their 20s, I'd threaten that I was very bad at playing the harmonica, but I WOULD play it and we'd all suffer unless they paid me. and for the most amount of money, older men in suits would almost always pay $20s if I avoided eye contact and stammered a lot.

eventually, the managers started to feel bad because I was in the cage so fucking long and often, that I'd need someone to brace me when I got out because I'd have no feeling in my legs. wobbling like a newborn giraffe.

but I would also rake in at LEAST $100 an hour in charity.

so they were like, hey champ. can we, uh, give you a pillow to sit on. in the cage. would you like a pillow so you're not just sitting on a cold metal slab. can we give you a pillow.

and I had to explain to them that if they gave me a pillow, people would think I was more comfortable, so they wouldn't feel as bad, so I'd bring in less money.

the compromise was that they'd bring me a nice coffee every couple hours, which I would have to try to block with my body from the customers.

all this money went to charity. that's what the money was for. it's what was on the sign. but how much they were willing to pay was very contingent on how comfortable I looked, never mind the fact that I was still a teenaged employee handcuffed inside a cage.

and out of the dozens of shifts I did this on, not ONCE did ANYONE say, hey kid I'm going to go talk to your manager because what the fuck is going on here. they would just drop money in the basket, and I'd thank them and sip from my secret drink.

I actually had people get MAD at me that I told them I was far away from bail, they donated like $15, and then 20 minutes I got let out because my shift ended.

again. the money was for charity. it was on the sign that was very clearly placed on the upper half of my cage.

so yeah. even when people think they mean well. people can be really, really fucking stupid.
