I mean, a surprising number of the boomers being forced out of their homes ARE going to be the ones who ruined the world, who had plentiful wealth and used it to marginalize and harm others for decades.
But shit has been fucked out there for a WHILE people. Those boomers are the people who would have had a lot of money wiped out in 2008 having been told their entire lives that real estate was a good investment, and then in the aftermath, would have been the prime targets for Iraqi dinar scams, Social Security scams, right wing grifters of all kinds, crypto scams, the list just keeps going on and on and on.
Where do you think all the money a select few managed to run away with in all those scams came from anyways, the ultra wealthy? Nah, those were the guys in on the scams from the start. It was people who used to be comfortably millionaires, who post 2008 were down into the hundreds of thousands of dollars in assets for the first time in a while, and were fucking scared shitless of losing the rest. And so, in a darkly hilarious turn of events, the low trust and low regulation society they had voted for was their downfall. Thousands of opportunistic bastards started swarming around them, each one promising that they had all the answers, that everything could become safe and secure again, all you had to do was give them your credit card number...
So yeah. A lot of those people are bastards who voted for the Leopards Eating Faces Party and have found themselves with a leopard eating their face. They still deserve to have secure housing, food security, and healthcare, because all of us do.

#shes cool as fuck to me bc when I first played jfa I found her really frustrating to deal with#not just as Phoenix but I mean like on a personal level she is challenging because she’s so thorough#and yet I also find it fascinating that she breaks the character she’s built for herself once in a while#i 100% believe that I don’t think she would have caught on to what Phoenix was trying to do while stalling for time with engardes trial#so it’s probably a good thing edgeworth subbed in but she literally busts her ass to bring evidence to court#almost right after having a bullet extracted from her WHICH SHE ALSO PRESENTS AS EVIDENCE. thats metal as fuck ok#especially since she would technically have nothing to do with the case after edgeworth fills in and she still decided to do that anyway#maybe it was blind faith to use that evidence to win since she wasn’t there for most of the trial but still#and even if canon doesn’t give it to me I still firmly believe there’s be at least some chemistry between her and Maya#like especially if you hold it next to wrightworth that works bc there’s already a history there and majority of Phoenix and miles trying#to relearn their relationship is Phoenix coaxing out that side of Miles that he remembers from fourth grade#but with Franmaya it’s something new and they’re basically strangers to each other and one of them almost got the other convicted#and I still think that’s fascinating and it’s a damn shame thay half of the fics I find for them on ao3 is background in wrightworth fic#i did find a good one that touched on Franziska trying to win pearls approval because Pearl does hold a grudge against her#and seeing that trying to live up to perfecting even her personal relationships without getting to know Pearl to even know#why it wasn’t working feels believable when I think abt her as a character yk#myart#my art#doodles#aa#ace attorney#franziska von karma

When faced with the imminent fear of death people instinctively call out for their mom. A primal reaction, driven by the need of comfort and sense of protection the figure of our mother gives us. Ideally, a mother should be the safest place for every child, the one who loves them more than anything, who will protect them no matter what. "Mom" means loved, "Mom" means safe.

The problems you argue about get bigger and more serious.#You still hold so much love for this person despite how much you want to throw hands with them.#To have such a complicated history with someone and then fall apart...You always think you have time to heal the wound.#Why wouldn't you! You've never had anything but time with this person. A brother not in blood but in true and genuine bond.#And then the fucker dies! It's horrible and sudden and the last words you exchanged were cold and awful!#What do you do with those dead end feelings? What do you do but grieve bitterly and angrily?#There is no resolution for all the love you wanted back. There will never be an opportunity to bridge the gap between you.#Someone you loved died thinking you hated them. Because you thought you had more time.#If anyone dares say Jiang Cheng didn't love WWX I'll be the first to fire up the powerpoint presentation on why he absolutely does.
