I was bored so I decided to google DC Character Sorter. See if I really do have any biases, subconscious or conscious. And it appears I do. Here's my Top 11 and Bottom 11. One criticism: No Red Tornado. If Red Tornado were on this list, he would've been top 5.

Numbers #1-4 are all characters I love. Jason Todd and Guy Gardner both have anger issues (I've extrapolated this from my limited experience with them in other media), and I relate to that. Tim Drake is also shy (again, extrapolating based on context clues) and that's relatable too. I've always liked Alfred. I don't know why Barbara Gordon and Commissioner Gordon are in the top 10, and I guess Alan Scott because I've always liked Golden Age DC? Idk, but it honestly feels pretty accurate.

Also, obligatory Screw Batman. He is my least favorite character on here for a reason, namely I would click any other character's name over him (even characters I didn't even know).

The shattering of ceramic saw Allisae falling backwards to the ground as her prosthesis blew apart like nothing. Along with it, went what was perhaps Tahariel's final shred of restraint.

Yet somehow, his mind felt more clear now, in this moment, than it had in ages. There was no longer the usual conflicting drone of memories that he couldn't reach. Needling at him at all times, but unable to really do much-- a sort of mute conscience, in a way.

No. Right now, everything in him was set on three things in sharp focus.

One, how dare this man point a gun at Allisae. How dare he put her in such danger?

Two, as if that weren't enough, he had now shifted into something decidedly other...something whose teeth and claws were now dangerously close to Wrenn. His friend seemed to be pulling him away some, but there was no way they would be able to get out of the way if the creature decided to lunge.

Lastly, the conclusion made from the first two facts...Tahariel didn't care who this was, anymore. No amount of information would make up for a slight of this magnitude. It didn't matter who he was-- if he was once a friend, or something else-- he was a threat.

A threat that needed to be put down, to protect Allisae and the children.

In that very same moment, Tahariel crashed into the side of the beast's head with his shoulder. One of his massive wings bursting open to push both Wrenn and Niesal away enough for him to get between them and the beast. Wings remaining spread like a shield as he called over his shoulder to the pair.

"Get Allisae and Lily, and go with Sophie and Ophan. Make sure that all of you get to the next space safely, and I'll meet you there. Keep an eye out-- we don't know if there are any more in hiding."

the city where we live doesn't allow public barbecues so my brother fucking welded a grill to a handcart and now hosts "chill and grill sessions" where he sends all his friends his live location so they can hunt him down on their bikes with sausages in their backpacks while he carts it around evading the police like some sort of barbecue vigilante, grilling on the run. i have never been prouder of him
