But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. - James 3:14-18 KJV
Hijacking planes and killing innocent people does not make anyone sympathetic to a cause. Today, we remember the day that two planes destroyed the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York as well as the one that hit the Pentagon and the one that was also aimed at Washington, D.C. and was stopped by the heroic actions of the people on that plane. If we want the world to come together and work together for peace, terrorism is not the way to go.
Just think about your own family. If you want a peaceful family, you don't go out of your way to cause problems, fighting with one another and destroying one another's property. Peaceful people sit down and discuss their differences and try to work out a compromise. Jealousy and ambition are a deadly combination for anyone. We see how they contribute to problems within families, within neighborhoods, and between businesses. If we begin to feel stirrings of jealousy, may we count our blessings and not what we lack. Remember, someone will always have more than you have and someone will always have less. And may we never forget the innocent victims of another's violence.
There are different forms of "wisdom" as we know. Jesus Christ gave us the example of the corrupt steward who got caught and went back to those he had been swindling and had them rewrite the amount of goods they owed so that they would take care of him when he lost his position. Jesus praised him for his worldly wisdom. But that is not the wisdom that God gives us in the gift of the Holy Spirit. This wisdom is given to us so that we will be more able to follow His way of love and to see the best ways to bring justice to an unjust world. This is the wisdom that brings peace and not discord. So much damage has been done in the world in God's name. Let all men and women remember that God is the Almighty and the one true God. He is a God of love and peace. Through Bible study and prayer, God reveals His wisdom and guides us to see opportunities to grow closer to Him and grow spiritually. He gives us direction to live our lives according to His Holy Word and will. We must make God top priority everyday!
Leaning on Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ through prayer and His Holy Word and Spirit strengthens us and our knowledge and wisdom about God and His Gospel Truth, exposing these imposters. May God help us to seek and lean on Him daily to gain the strength, wisdom and spiritual discernment needed to expose Satan and his imposters who seek to destroy us and God's ultimate Truth. Everyday, we must remember to share Jesus Christ's Gospel Truth with the world and to thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for the grace that He poured out for us on the cross at Calvary. He has freed us from the burdens of sin and from the eternal damnation of Hell. In all we say and do, may all praise, honor and glory always be given to Him and His Kingdom of Heaven.
With renewed minds, hearts and wills, let us serve Him humbly and faithfully out of pure love and grateful rejoicing. May He remind us of His presence and to remain at peace, fully knowing that all will be well because He is always with us. Let us seek Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ today and everyday with all our heart and being, looking for His love, light and will for our lives with each step we take. Let us seek to please Him with our thoughts, words, and deeds and seek to advance His Kingdom of Heaven and His glory with our lives. Let us seek Him from a pure and humble heart, and when we so seek, we believe Him and His promise that we will find. May He help us all to be more sensitive to the teaching ministry of His Holy Word and Spirit, relying on Him and allowing Him to speak to us and guide us every step of our Christian journey.
God gave us the Holy Bible - His living and Holy Word - to let us know of Him and His abiding love and care as well as guide and prepare us for all our lives. May He help us encourage one another as we continue our walk with Him and our duty to Him daily. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for being present for all our new beginnings and all our lives. May He redirect any anxiety we feel as He provides countless opportunities for growth and change. May we humble ourselves before God always, asking Him to forgive our sins and make our hearts and lives anew through His Holy Word and Spirit. May He help us make Him and His Holy Word top priority, so we can grow spiritually and grow in our relationship with Him as we apply it to our daily lives. Thank God that we can focus on Him and everything about Him, for that is what keeps us sane and at peace. May our words and actions always be a reflection of Him and His Holy Word and Spirit and will.
May He help us to always walk in His grace and Holy Spirit, not by our own measure. May He give us the humble humility to know that our freedom and eternal salvation is found only in Him, so that His grace may sustain us, and we may never lose sight of His love and light and mercy. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for calling us to Him and to serve Him. May He equip us to do all that He has called us to do so that as He works through us, He may use us to produce fruit, to reach others, and to encourage all brothers and sisters in Christ. May He work all of these things in us and through us for His Kingdom and His glory. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for all His creation, for His miraculous ways and for everything He does and has done for us! Keep the faith and keep moving forward in your walk with Jesus! He loves us and He knows what is best for us. Seek, follow and trust in Him - Always!
Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for His Holy Word and for sending His Holy Spirit so that we might have His grace, not only to awaken us and transform our hearts in our spiritual rebirth and guarantee our eternity with Him, but to also call upon Him whenever we are in need. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for all the reminders of His love and mercy and faithfulness within His Holy Word. He is bigger than any challenge or circumstance in our lives. Knowing this within our minds and our hearts, nothing can deter our faith in Him and His Truth. May we all accept Him and His eternal gift of salvation and ask that He would transform our hearts and lives according to His will and ways. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for His Holy Spirit who saves, seals and leads us. May we always thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for His almighty power and saving grace. For He is our strength, and He alone is able to save us, forgive our sins and gift us eternal salvation and entry into His Kingdom of Heaven.
May we make sure that we give our hearts and lives to God and take time to seek and praise Him and share His Truth with the world daily. May the LORD our God and Father in Heaven help us to stay diligent and obedient and help us to guard our hearts in Him and His Holy Word daily. May He help us to remain faithful and full of excitement to do our duty to Him and for His glorious return and our reunion in Heaven as well as all that awaits us there. May we never forget to thank the LORD our God and our Creator and Father in Heaven for all this and everything He does and has done for us! May we never forget who He is, nor forget who we are in Christ and that God is always with us! What a mighty God we serve! What a Savior this is! What a wonderful LORD, God, Savior and King we have in Jesus Christ! What a loving Father we have found in Almighty God! What a wonderful God we serve! His will be done!
Thanks and glory be to God! Blessed be the name of the LORD! Hallelujah and Amen!

God’s Wisdom vs. Your Ambition | James 3:17-18
Have you noticed the loudest voices aren’t always the wisest? Bold words often leave broken relationships and chaos in their wake. What if the tension around us—and within us—comes from trusting the wrong kind of wisdom?
Welcome to the Daily Devo. Our text today is James 3:17-18.
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. — James 3:17-18
PART 1: OBSERVATION — What the Text Says
Words & Phrases:
Wisdom from above: Wisdom originating from God.
Pure: Without corruption or contamination, holy.
Peaceable: Promoting peace, avoiding conflict.
Gentle: Kind, considerate, not harsh.
Open to reason: Willing to listen, teachable, not stubborn.
Full of mercy and good fruits: Overflowing with compassion and producing virtuous actions.
Impartial: Not showing favoritism, treating everyone equally.
Sincere: Genuine, without hypocrisy.
Harvest of righteousness: Refers to the results of living rightly according to God’s standards.
Sown in peace: Actions taken peacefully lead to good outcomes.
By those who make peace: Peacemakers actively foster peace.
Characters:
No specific individuals other than those who would receive the open letter.
Grammar:
A list of qualities for "wisdom from above."
A conjunction "then" shows a sequence of wisdom attributes.
A metaphor of "a harvest of righteousness" connects cause and effect.
Structure:
Verse 17 defines the attributes of "wisdom from above."
Verse 18 shifts to the outcome: "peace sown by peacemakers."
Genre:
James is an epistle or letter written to many groups.
Mood:
The tone is instructive.
PART 2: INTERPRETATION — What the Text Says to the Original Audience
Who:
Author: James, the brother of Jesus, writes to Jewish Christians scattered among the nations (James 1:1).
Audience: Believers struggling with division, favoritism, and worldly wisdom within their community.
What:
James contrasts earthly, unspiritual wisdom from below (described earlier in James 3:14-16) with divine wisdom from above.
Where:
Written to the early church addressing practical issues in Christian communities.
When:
It was written around AD 45-49 when early Christians learned to live out their faith amidst cultural and spiritual challenges.
How:
The metaphor of sowing and harvesting resonates with the audience's agricultural context.
Why:
To guide believers in discerning true wisdom and encourage them to be peacemakers, fostering unity and righteousness.
PART 3: APPLICATION — What the Text Means to Me & You Today
Bridge the Gap:
Timeless Truth: Godly wisdom is characterized by seven attributes that produce righteousness through peacemaking.
God’s Character: God values wisdom that aligns with His nature.
Personal Reflection:
Do my attitudes and actions reflect God’s character and wisdom, or am I seeking selfish ambition?
If my attitudes and actions reflect "wisdom from above," I should see a "harvest of righteousness" around me.
I shouldn't see "burned bridges" and "tense relationship" or "wins for me and losses for them."
I should see "peace" and "peacemaking" all around me, and people should be drawn to me for this reason.
If you’ve ever chased after the loudest voices or leaned into selfish ambition, you know tension and division don’t take long to creep in. But we are reminded there’s a better way. Godly wisdom isn’t about being the loudest or getting ahead; it’s about living a life that reflects the character of Christ.
Ask yourself: Do my words and actions leave peace or conflict in their wake? Am I open to God’s wisdom—pure, peaceable, gentle, full of mercy—or have I let earthly desires take over?
It’s never too late to surrender. Give up the ambition that burns bridges. Let go of attitudes that stir chaos. Step into the wisdom of God that produces a harvest of righteousness.
Today, I invite you to give in to God. If you’re tired of burning bridges, come to Him. Ask Him to replace selfish ambition with His peace and righteousness. Ask Him to make you a peacemaker in your home, workplace, and community. Here is a prayer, I am going to prayer over you and me today:
Father, I’ve tried to lead with my own wisdom, and it’s left me weary and broken. I surrender my desires, my plans, and my pride to You. Teach me to live with Your wisdom and to sow peace wherever I go. May my life reflect Your character and bring glory to Your name. Amen.
#GodlyWisdom, #Peacemakers, #HarvestOfRighteousness
ASK THIS:
Do my words and actions promote peace or create tension and conflict?
How can I reflect God’s wisdom in my daily decisions?
What attitudes or ambitions do I need to surrender to God?
Am I open to being teachable and gentle in my relationships?
DO THIS:
Ask God to reveal one attitude or habit that hinders peace and commit to replacing it with an action that reflects His wisdom.
PRAY THIS:
Father, guide my heart to seek Your wisdom above all else, letting it shape my words, actions, and relationships. Help me to be a peacemaker, sowing righteousness and reflecting Your character in everything I do. Amen
PLAY THIS:
Christ Our Wisdom.

A Leader and a Servant?
(James 3: 13-4:3; Mark 9: 30-37)
Who here wants to be the greatest? Who wants to be first?
It would help if you were more confident about answering yes to these questions because if I pull the kids aside and ask the same question, they will immediately raise their hands and shout, “Me, me!” And yes – it’s expected for the children to say yes to the questions. We raise them to aspire to a high leadership position. And, if your child says, "I want to be the President of the United States when I grow up" (or a doctor, Astronaut, CEO of a successful establishment, etc.), you happily cheer them on, right?
But is it fair to say that most people are suspicious of someone coming out boldly to seek a position of power? We quickly judge that this individual only wants to be ‘powerful’ to satisfy their ambitions or grab from others. Why? At the top, one is more likely to show their ‘humanness’ and make their authoritarian inclinations louder. St. James calls that ‘selfish or earthly ambition.’
Nothing is wrong with wanting to be great or to make your voice heard, but you must admit that other voices may be as good as yours. But that’s not what happens when you are lacking humility. We see that every day. Likewise, wanting to improve your financial well-being is a fantastic step forward in our world today. But you must be mindful of the economic well-being of the community from which you draw wealth. In other words, your desire to be a great, rich, or famous individual must be achieved unselfishly. It must be achieved with the wisdom from above.
James asks: ‘Who is wise and understanding among you?’ ‘Show by your good life and your actions must be gentle.  Ask God for wisdom, and God will generously grant your request (James 3:17). James describes godly wisdom as pure, peaceable, and gentle, yielding mercy and good fruits without partiality or hypocrisy.
In Mark’s gospel, Jesus revealed his upcoming betrayal and death to his disciples. They either did not understand the horrible news or their silly hearts were deeply embedded in the worldly vision of ‘greatness.’ Jesus used this as a teaching moment to teach them godly principles of greatness.
Jesus said:  If you want to be first, you “must be last of all,” and if you want to be great, you must be a servant to all.” Very contradicting principles to the ears. Did Jesus’ principles mean it is OK to want to be first but don’t act on that desire? Does it mean you stay very quiet and humble, don’t yell, raise your hand, but walk to the end of the line, and sooner or later, the world will see how good you are and reward you by sending you to the front? I don’t think so, especially today, where you must make noise to be rewarded with a leadership position.
Jesus’ teaching is that if you want to be great, you must earn trust and ensure your ethical standards are not compromised. Most importantly, it means portraying an image of Christ by humbly placing your “personal” wishes, desires, and interests last. You must also be willing to be a servant to ALL—a servant to the poor as well as the rich, to women as well as to men, to Jews as well as to Greeks, to children as well as to adults. In other words, there should not be ambivalence in your way of life.
Jesus took a small child in his hands and told his disciples, ‘Whoever receives a child not only welcomes me but also welcomes God.’ Childlikeness embodies ‘humility,’ transforming our hearts and preparing us to enter eternity.
Today, we have two beautiful little ones, Benji and Olivia, who are to be received into the household of Christ. Joining the families, may we renew our baptismal vows as we pray for wisdom to live our lives in humility, respecting the dignity of every human being. Amen!

You are the potter and I am the clay!
(3rd temple)!

Ephesians 4:26-27 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil.
Deuteronomy 10:18 [God] defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing.
James 3:17 the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
Song of Solomon 8:7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it.
May you give honor to God, and reverence to the King of kings, regardless of the surroundings, not waiting for traditional circumstances, but obeying the Spirit, giving what He directs, when He directs, for obedience is better than sacrifice. Ezra 3
May you not seek for, or accept, help from the arm of flesh or advice and counsel from the wisdom of man in doing the work of God, but search for the leading of the Spirit, Who knows the mind of God, and follow Him. Ezra 4
May you speak the words of God's revealed wisdom among those who are maturing into their full growth of love in Christ's Body, not bothering with the kind of wisdom the spiritual rulers of this age offer, for they are coming to nothing and are doomed to pass away. 1 Corinthians 2
May you receive and accept the workings of the Spirit of God Who knows the heart of man and searches the deep things of God, that you may understand what God has freely given you and express to each one around you those spiritual truths with spiritual words taught by the Spirit from the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2
May you share the simplicity of Christ's good news with all who hunger for God, avoiding strife which comes from jealousy and quarreling, but walk in peace, accepting all who receive the Lord with gladness. 1 Corinthians 3
My child, will you submit to Me? You have submitted to other, lesser authorities through your life, for purposes and benefits as varied as those to whom you submitted. I have shown you a glimpse, a vision of what submission to Me will bring you and the path that it will take you. You have responded in agreement when you saw the delight and reward at the culmination, My lovely one, but do not forget what I told you about the path required to get there. Do not plan to remove your hand from the plow once the furrow is started. Even though the way is hard, the work is honorable, and My provision is available. Know that you are not forsaken or abandoned in the field you are working for you are one of many whose hearts have leapt for joy to hear My call. When you submit to My will and walk wholehearted in My Spirit, depending completely upon the truth and authority of My Word, one can put to flight a thousand and two will cause ten thousand to flee. With willing vessels that are submitted to Me there is no need for a battalion; I lead you against an enemy that is already defeated and needs only to be routed. My work is often solitary, but it need never be lonely, for I am with you always. It is not by the power of your arm nor is it by the might of your weapons but it is by My Spirit, moving in My authority which has been given by the Father, that the work is done and the battle is won. When you are living in My Spirit, you must also walk in step with the Spirit, aligned in will and matured by practice. As you walk through your day on the earth, praying, conversing, sharing continually in your heart with Me in the Spirit, you are learning to walk in agreement with Me in the heavenlies. As you persist and endure, you will find that you are not only walking, but running and leaping with Me, My joyous one, for I long to lead you in the dance. Submit to Me, My precious one, letting your pride and self-awareness melt away, and enter into My joy.
May you call to the Lord your Rock, Who will not turn a deaf ear to you, for if He remained silent, you would be like those who give up and die. Psalm 28
May you call to God for help as you lift up your hands toward His Most Holy Place, for He will hear your cry for mercy. Psalm 28
May your heart trust in Him, and leap for joy as you give thanks to Him in song, for He has heard your cry for mercy and is become your strength and your shield. Psalm 28
May the Lord be the strength of His people, a fortress of salvation for His beloved, saving His people and blessing His inheritance, for He is your shepherd and will carry you forever. Psalm 28
May you acknowledge the Lord, Who directs your steps, and not seek your own understanding. Proverbs 20:24

Morning Prayer and Prep
Good morning Heavenly Father! All praise to You, my High and Holy King and Lord! You are indeed mighty and worthy of my worship! Teach me to love YOU, Lord, and YOU alone, first and foremost!
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. (Matthew 22:37-38)
Thank You, my Sustainer, for a good night’s sleep and this beautiful brand new day of life! As I begin this brand new day, Lord help me to do, whatever I do, all for Your pleasure and to Your glory!
Therefore...whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. (1Corinthians 10:31)
Remind me, Lord, of Your armor that I wear & Your fruit which I bear! Please inspect me to make sure I’m wearing each piece of Spiritual Armor fully and properly:
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with the Truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the firey darts of the wicked one.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for the saints. (Ephesians 10-18)
Help me to be strong, O God of my angel armies, Lord of hosts, in Your strength, in the power of your might! Help me Father, to pray in Your Spirit, as I intercede for others, and to open my own mouth boldly, rightly making known the “mystery of the Gospel!”
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. (James 3:13-18)
Lord Jesus, produce in me this day this Fruit of Righteousness, the Fruit of Your Spirit!
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if (when) you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in times past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law (nothing external needed to produce godliness). And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If (when) we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit! (Galatians 5:16-25)
God, as I LIVE in Your Spirit IN YOU, help me to WALK in the Spirit in which I live, and in walking, to LIVE according to Your Spirit in me!
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled! (2 Corinthians 10:3-6)
Father, help me to live today in such a way that the world will know You in all Your goodness and holiness by my living as if I belong to You!
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, REJOICE! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things! (Philippians 4:4-8)
Lord God, go with me now, as I move thru this day which You have made, covered in Your Son, controlled by Your Spirit, convicted by and convinced in Your Word, and contained in Your armor! In the mighty, undefeated, high and holy name of Jesus I pray for Your favor and blessing. Amen!

7 Signs You’re Living with Godly Wisdom | James 3:17-18
Did you know the average person makes over 35,000 decisions daily—many driven by impulse or fleeting emotions? Imagine if even 10% more of your decisions were guided by true wisdom. How radically different would your life look? Today, James reveals seven attributes of godly wisdom that can illuminate your thoughts and actions, leading to peace and purpose in every area of your life.
Here are his seven attributes of godly wisdom and a simple definition of each:
Purity: Keeping your heart clean by focusing on God and living with integrity in your thoughts, words, and actions.
Peace: Working to create harmony in your relationships and avoid unnecessary conflict.
Gentle: Showing kindness by putting others first, even when you feel you’re in the right.
Willing: Open to listening, learning, and embracing wise counsel.
Full of mercy and good fruit: Letting compassion move you to practical acts of kindness.
Impartial: Staying consistent and fair in treating others, sticking to your values no matter the situation.
Sincere: Being genuine and honest in everything you do, with no hidden motives or pretense
These seven attributes of wisdom are more than a checklist—they illuminate the nature of God's wisdom and Jesus’ character. Striving for godly wisdom aligns our hearts, minds, and will with His, inviting His peace and purpose to flourish in our lives and relationships.
Today, take a moment to reflect: which of these seven attributes of godly wisdom stands out to you as an area for growth? Is there one where you’ve struggled to reflect God's wisdom and Jesus’ character? Maybe it’s gentleness, sincerity, or showing mercy in action. Identify the one attribute you need to work on, confess it, and take a step toward turning it up even a small percentage—it could make a profound difference in your life and relationships.
Drop your response in the comments below. For example, if you’ve struggled with gentleness, share how you plan to show more kindness this week. Let me pray for you as you take this next step in growing in godly wisdom. Remember, God’s wisdom is available to all who ask. Together, let’s seek His peace and purpose in our lives.
#GodlyWisdom, #BibleStudy, #James317
ASK THIS:
Which attribute of godly wisdom do you find most challenging to practice daily?
How can growing in gentleness or sincerity improve your relationships this week?
When have you acted impulsively instead of seeking God’s wisdom? What was the result?
What step can you take today to align your decisions more closely with God’s wisdom?
DO THIS:
Choose one attribute of godly wisdom to focus on this week, and practice it daily in your thoughts, words, and actions.
PRAY THIS:
Father, help me to seek and reflect Your wisdom in every decision I make today. Guide my heart to live with purity, peace, and sincerity so my life glorifies You. Amen
PLAY THIS:
Thank You, Jesus.

Adrian Rogers Love Worth Finding Daily Devotional 27th November 2023 – How Can You Teach Children to Discern Truth?
Tumblr media
TOPIC: How Can You Teach Children to Discern Truth? Sermon: 2287 Protect Your Home, Part 1  Pray Over This:  “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” James 3:13–18
LOVE WORTH FINDING DEVOTIONAL – MESSAGE FOR TODAY.
Ponder This If a dog has a nasty bone in his mouth and you try to take it away from him, you might get bitten. But if you put a steak on the ground and the dog sees the steak, he’ll drop the bone to get the steak. That dog discerns. He looks: Here’s the bone, there’s the steak. There’s a discernment. He thinks, “That is better than this.” Then there’s a choice. He says, “I want the steak. I choose the steak.” Then he refuses the bone. You’re going to have to spend some time with your children helping them understand what the values of life are. I would not trade anything for fellowship with God. The ability to have a godly family is valuable and precious. Don’t let them sacrifice these things. Lead them to Christ. Help them to see through Satan’s lies. All of their sin struggles are based on a lie. The lie is that this is somehow good, tantalizing, titillating, that it will somehow satisfy. It is all a lie. Satan is a liar. Show your children the One who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Who has taught you the most about discernment? How has that impacted you? How do you seek to communicate the value of Christ to those around you? Practice This Share with another person how precious and valuable Jesus is to you. Read the full article
