the overall vibe of blink gone is just so casazure to me. it's an energetic song but is mixed with different styles and vocals despite the tone of the voice being generally calm. personally find it to be the perfect alnst song for casazure because it showcases their differences in a melody that fits them both, in a way that blink gone is upbeat (which we can relate to cas) but is still calm (which we can relate to azure). it also showcases their differences by the style of singing at outfits.

till's outfit and singing style is something i find similar to castor's, it's expressive and loud (guys hear me out- castor in till's r7 outfit PLEASE I THINK IT FITS 😭) while luka's outfit and singing style is similar to azure's, elegant and smooth (azure would totally eat up luka's r7 outfit please—). so all im saying is that the differences between till and luka's style is like that of the differences between castor and azure's style and yeah yeah you get the point.

overall, blink gone casazure is the opposites finding a common groud in the music their performing which represents them both.

KYO/AZURE

if casazure blink gone is opposite but similar then kyozure blink gone is similar but opposite (i hope that makes sense).

kyo and azure have the same voice, a calm and soft one, but both have a different way of presenting it. while azure stays in the lane of soft and soothing, kyo crosses it by being more expressive and putting more emphasis on the lyrics. in this case of blink gone, kyo and azure stand on the common groud of having the same tone as the song but differ by how they express and sing the lyrics (+the styles).

using till and luka as comparison once more, till having a calmer voice in blink gone while still adding flair through his singing is like kyo having a calm voice but adds personal touches to it and luka having his iconic smooth voice in blink gone is like azure going through his usual singing voice and flowing through the lyrics like he usually does.

and again with the outfits, r7 till! kyo and r7 luka! azure are spinning around my head.

i know this is confusing by how i explain both casazure and kyozure considering how they almost have the same dynamic but the thing that i really want to get across is blink gone casazure is different by themselves but are united with the song's melody while blink gone kyozure is already united by their vocals and the song but still shows that they are different due to the way they express themselves.

been listening to rebel at heart thinking about how it yes it’s 100% a ashton song but could be a calum song yk? and insomnia gives way to some lite psychoanalysis and I was thinking, calum has this lovely quietly unhinged, rebellious even, personality and it makes sense he tends to be drawn to people with kinda unhinged personalities too or at least those who are boldly themselves and that’s not quite the path of what they’re ‘supposed to’ be. but also how sad it is whenever a louder personality drowns him out because he’s truly got so much to give and he does give it but he is quiet too and it’s like, you’ve gotta not steal his spotlight. not think because he’s on the quiet side he’s got nothing to say or express because he absolutely does. it’s such a sweet combination but it must be so hard to fit the bill of someone who works there really well. all the band members do in their own ways I guess and I do think that’s a big part of what makes 5sos so successful—and especially if ashton did in any part write rebel at heart for him (I don’t know, it doesn’t really matter, but it absolutely describes calum and I can never unsee that). but in terms of a partner. I just hope whatever happens whether brandy does end up learning how to be that for him and they do end up being together in the future or he keeps looking, that he finds someone who’s just the right balance for him. I can see how that would be hard though for a lot of reasons but he absolutely does deserve that and I just hope we can talk about and appreciate this and really see him for who he is yk? idk if this is the style of ask you like but I just wanted to say hopefully nice things about calum

and i agree! i hope either brandy can be that balance for him or i hope he can find someone who will be. i have my reservations about brandy (and for those reasons i dont think theyll work out) but at the end of the day whoever makes him happy is the best one for him. he just deserves someone who inspires him and also understands him and his timing and expression, whoever that might be!

So just to overview, the songs meaning is the seeing the worlds inhumanity of violence and feeling like a lone monster for despising it. The world needs to be purged and the singer will commit the killings that have to happen for it. The "you" referred to in the song is someone the singer cares for and the only one who can be salvaged from their deeds. this song is so me core (im unwell) !! Just want to get that out the way because it maybe influences my thoughts a bit idk

"Somethings terrorized my psyche to get even/ Lately you're the only human I believe in/ I try to understand his logic but there's just no pattern there / No sympathetic voices anywhere, there's blood in my hair" The highlighted lyrics Are repeated multiple times throughout the song… I'll get deeper into it in the next verse

Migo started holding a grudge against dreamers but Lunia was the only one she thought was okay

"Cant you hear me crying out for guidance? "Yes we hear but we dont care"" I think this line is like. I think it could be Migos goal really is just to spend more time with Lunia despite her fucked up way of going about it .yk? Lunia made Migo because she was lonely, and when Lunia no longer needed migo she left her at the castle by herself. Shes like an emotional support dog that gets abandoned when theyre no longer needed. Thats kinda how i see her and why shes sorta crying out for Lunia to come back and spend more time together like they used to before she became a dreamkeeper

"No sympathetic victims anywhere, Theres blood in my hair" YIPEE I can talk about this now !! I think. this line is very much a lot of the reason why i think this song fits migoo. The line seems like the singer is crying for help to their own victims, thus being sad that none of them feel any sympathy for them. "theres blood in my hair" represents the violence theyve caused. So here it shows how migo wants the children she takes the imagination from to make grimspawn to Feel bad for her, for Lunia to feel bad for how she left her and to go back to her. Migo acknowledges the violence theyve caused and the intensity in which the line is sung (especially at the end of the song) Makes it feel like shes starting to understand theres no coming back from this, but does it even matter? Whats done is done

I had to google this but Dolorous means sorrowful. The Night bureau will probably never forgive her, "five lives too late" as in shes already commited violence. Shes doomed herself to a bad end where no one will be happy so its like the Night Bureau telling her Yeah dont expect forgiveness from us 👍

"My head is a most obliging harbor for this illusion/ Will these Irish eyes be stung by tears of confusion/ Will you meet the common end to your odd shaped mission, hope it isnt true/ I dont believe in that kind of god but still I pray for you" I think this passage can be sung from Lunias perspective !! Shes worried and shes scared but she holds out hope that migo will come back around. The Odd shaped mission being her violent way of getting what she wants but Lunia hopes they can comprimise and all of the nightmares will stop.

"We will produce vanity holocausts / We will commit acts of misery/ We will weaponize sightless innocents/ Then we will forget" Basically what the nightmare king has done and what she will continue to do. Acts of misery. Theres no stopping this

NOW THE SECOND BIGGEST REASON WHY I THINK THIS SONG IS SO HER, THIS LINE

"I suffered pompous death to find her kingdom razed" The rediscovering of Castle Nocturnia and the hope that Lunia may still be there. When the Nightmare King gets to it he sees the state of distruction and knows that after migos own self death that she experienced being stuck in the guardian for quite a while, that Lunia was also truly gone. Revalation.

"Cherub corpses in the vapor, Martyrs wrapped in butcher paper" Its at this point where she sees all the damage shes caused to get here, the death and the tragedy. Shes most definetly responsible for many deaths for those who fought till the end to protect the dream world from her. But at this point of so much what is the point of stopping? The blood has been spilt already and its not like she feels bad about it . "There's no sympathetic voices anywhere, there's blood in my hair"

Now the end of the song, I love this part because it sounds like a final breakdown after everything in the song. so so cool

i think there are a lot of ways to go about this esp with deciding to take a more kr or sentai route. i think the group aspect of paradox live is so important that it would make sense to take a more ranger team formation, and with like them all sharing like such a specific way of fighting that is unified but allows for a lot of flair still. and there would still be a way for those suits to still have such an extreme amount of swag while being ranger like and all. its also a lot easier for me to picture that many people in sentai uniforms than having to manifest so many rider suits and shit. extremely daunting of a thing, and well i do just think it fits better. trust me on this<3 however originally i was thinking that it would be more interesting for them to be more like metal/rider-esque suits for like trap reactions and the corrosion but i think actually if their suits are like the gobuster's it would be awesome.

Like this being reflective of the corrosion worsening is awesome, and it would still like be something that exists physically on them. can see a really dramatic moment of bae transforming after hajun has been hiding it so well and after he's suited up he just starts like sparking out of control and his suit gets fucked before they even start the battle. Also i think allen would just look sick as FUCK with a broken helmet. everyone always does but i want my best friend allen to have a crazy moment like that.

they would be using like music as their main weapon and the illusions which i fear does put it in some hypmic territory but they obvi will have the craziest swag with it, and i dont think i would be full songs all the time. maybe its like flinging their illusions at enemies, creating weapons and one of them raps to make its power greater, to shield them, etcetc. im not fully sure how that would work. they transform by holding onto their phantometal really tight and then they get swallowed up by their own illusion or something. i think their phantometal would kinda just like manifest outside of them after they overcome the initial trap reaction/corrosion and they have a special affinity for it. it doesnt mean that they are like immune, they are just a bit stronger to it and have better control than a normal person would. dont worry about it too much lolol.

def Really big arc where an enemy makes it so allen loses his voice and he runs away like he can't be useful and is just a liability to the others because he can only do like normal guy kicks and stuff since he cant interaction properly with their illusions and he cant create his own bc his emotions are so out of wack nothing holds and they have to keep protecting him and he just gets his ass beat. power of love brings his voice back. of course it does. he can still write them lyrics he can still plan and they follow his lead so well. he's not a born leader but he's their special guy and they believe in him even when he doesnt believe in himself. yknow the drill.

i think in overall plot, it would be a little like how haruto is saving people from despair by like literally jumping into their minds to save them in wizard, but it would be saving people who are victims of the phantometal and also like ryusoulger with the negative emotions are creating the monsters. the monsters are created from the illusions and once they feed off the person enough the person starts having a like full trap reaction to fully take their life away. like they are having more mild versions of it, thats kinda just written off as more of a nightmare but that misery and corrosion stick with them and the monster is just like yummy! usually bae can stop it before it gets too fucking bad but sometimes they DO have to go inside a person to save them.

They are still like bae. they still are a music group (i dont think the phantometal would be used for performances in this universe. they are all just doing normal hiphop) they still slay but they also have to. fucking save people. they have to save all the others in paralive at some point. First being anne. i think it starts with hajun and allen being the only two really involved and they dont tell anne bc they both know they will be like Fuck idc if i cant transform im helping in some way but then anne falls victim and they are the first person they have to actually go inside to save and when anne comes out of that they are suddenly able to transform too. maybe that happens with all the performers but they dont work with bae as like a unified team or anything usually. they have their own shit to handle, but ofc they will lend a hand when necessary. iori is fully aware of all this shit even before bae gets started doing their thing. ofc he is. obviously. as is expected of him.

its such a strange place for them to be because it IS the phantometal that is being used to hurt all these people, but they use it to transform and to fight still. they have to! (very deep into this plot when 1nm8 come in they are portrayed as so antagonistic bc they come in so hot trying to take away the thing that is allowing them to save people and its soo frustrating)

also obviously they will. be effected by trap reactions and the corrosion, which i mentioned the latter in reference to suit degradation and stuff but i think if they are transformed for too long or use too many/too strong of illusions they get sent immediately into one even if they are still suited up, and it would like be on a scale of they are having a panic attack or they are uncontrollably lashing out. everyone would know bc it would kinda be like this

and then they would just be kinda like. yknow got that evil glow or whatever. i dont think much would really have to change about what everyone is seeing when they have their trap reactions, but i do think to some extent that when they are like losing control and attacking people they are like aware but they cant do anything about it. allen lashing out and going after anne and hajun and hes screaming for it to stop but he cant make his body stop and then his vision starts to get kinda engulfed by flames type of shit.

i guess that stupid ugly ass guy with the tongue from the anime is like whos behind it. i hate him so fucking much i dont even want to think about it but he's kinda the perfect guy to just be inserted into this without much changed. he's still got chisei's metal. he's still got those illusions of buraikan. who would also be like. transformed in more monstrous of a way and be there antagonizing them and the "heads" of what they are going against. i love the way? you did the animation? if that makes sense. like the wiggly lines and such. it fits the whole Vibe where nothing really stops moving right. even with the like. background shots its never still and i love that.

the color choices too. i feel like most really impactful art (at least in this fandom) for me either uses very little color variety or a lot of color variety. obviously there isnt a lot of color in the animatic but i feel like that makes it more impactful as i said. especially with how the color changes in different- like, eras? in the beginning of the video, the lmanburg era, the blue fits very well imo. like the color of their suits is blue, it probably stands out most for me in the flag even. its just the color i think of when i think of lmanburg. and then when it switches to pogtopia, its red. Again, similar things to say, red is the color i think of when i think of pogtopia. other than brown i guess. and then the yellow at the end. like yeah this is still pogtopia technically but i feel like the color switch is very important. yellow is the brightest color used which is like. its fitting. fitting of his death- the flashy explosion, the theatrical way he went. and then the white in limbo. its only one scene but still. limbo is, well, a limbo. its bare its uninteresting its suffocating in it's blandness. even if c!wilburs limbo isn't particularly bland, if someones in the same place for 13 years straight its gonna get boring. and i think the use of only black and white shows this perfectly. AND THEN THE END. AUGH. when he's revived it switches from the bland white and black to using all the colors shown so far. which is, albeit, only five including white and black. but still my point stands; it's a great contrast.

NO im not done. back to the linework. i love how in each scene that features a character the lines like. emanate? i guess? from them. specifically in cwilburs case. in the beginning of the video the lines are straight and he's facing forwards. great cool yeah. BUT. when it switches to pogtopia the lines are squiggly and while there are some straight lines they are sporadic and a lot arent coming directly from or to him. ESPECIALLY when pared with the way you redrew each frame it just shows his increased mental instability visually very well. also he's facing away from the viewer instead of towards them which is a really nice touch im just struggling to explain why in words. and then in the first yellow scene after he blew everything up the lines while still sporadic, are a lot straighter and less squiggly. (and only coming from him, the center of everyones attention) while he's still Very mentally unstable, he's just as confident as he was during lmanburg. and in the end when hes revived there isnt any lines like there was before. it gives the same contrasting vibe that the color does. like waking up from a dream, if that makes sense

some other things i noticed. um. the fish in the river in the beginning. really liked that one. gave me a good chuckle after the 10th-15th watch when i noticed it. the transition from the burning flag to pogtopia is really nice. just all the transitions are great actually. and the timing with the lyrics is amazing. also eyebags thumbs up emoji. OH and when cwilbur is revived at the end thats the first time we see his eyes and i like that one.

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!! im so glad you picked up on the color stuff omg i wasnt sure anyone would outside of it just being the lmanberg flag colors!!! i wrote a whole poem a few years back about red yellow and blue and how they relate to cwil! yeah the blue in lmanberg is based on the suits, and also that one line ghostbur had about lmanbur crying himself to sleep every night! and red for pogtopia is from tnt and the phrase "seeing red"! yellow was originally revival, supposed to represent the sunrise and like a new beginning, but it worked better here as nov 16th, as more of a final blast of light that burns itself into your retinas.

hey. dont cry. dissection of the passerine animatic + the accompanying character study ok? ok.

tldr: my son chun tao she is so fucking ill

Honestly Passerine is THE Chun Tao song. To me. bc it fits really well with his religious guilt, but i also like to recontextualize the chorus to instead be him talking about eri. they were the one really pulling the weight during the early days of their friendship, and chun tao feels a lot of guilt for that

but first! the animatic! it centers around chun tao's guilt for eri being so sweet to him despite him being a stoic ass cold bitch. i actually color-picked the palette from the album cover of eurus (that passerine is from) and slapped on a noise filter to achieve that same grainy effect. it looks nice 2 me.

eri is represented in a distinguishing yellow, someone bright and unique to chun tao, while he himself is colored in the same white as all the other details in the background. While making him the same color as the lyrics helped establish they were His thoughts, him blending in w everything else while eri has their own unique color is his way of putting eri on a pedestal, viewing them as more important than he'll ever be. they're the monarch and he's just their prince consort. that's how he always thought of it.

i dont have much to say about these frames in particular but here are their corresponding parts in the study! theyre just meant to establish their relationship w one another before leading up to the next part, where he sees eri as this blinding light, but just cant let go of that one sign of weakness they had shown him during their wedding. a small glimpse of a them he didnt quite understand yet, and never made the effort to.

at some point, chun tao Snaps and berates eri for trying to get so close to him. at first i wasnt sure if his mindset made.. sense? but connecting the dots from earlier, it DOES make sense if you see it through the point of view that he sees eri as someone above him. chun tao isnt someone who deals with people and he's used to impersonal business relationships and he thought this would be another one of those which is why he's so shocked, caught off-guard, even offended at eri threatening his status quo. brother hates vulnerability, and it terrified him that someone was trying to get through his walls, so all he could do was lash out.

im not absolving eri of blame either though.. i think they still had some wrong in not immediately recognizing chun tao's boundaries. they were so eager to be her friend, they dont realize they might come across as overbearing. and they were, in a sense, but chun tao does also realize its unfair to them to take their innocent gestures of friendliness with so much malice. they just have conflicting ideas on the world, and it clashed, and no one's totally wrong but no one's totally right, they were just coming from their own places.

In here chun tao watches as eri reels back and apologizes for all the things she had shouted at them at. but it's also the same moment chun tao realizes that she does Not know much of anything about eri at all. it's very faint, but there's the outline of a sobbing younger eri staring straight at the screen, supposedly at chun tao, like a reminder of the eri she never got to meet herself. one that was hurting just like her. and that younger eri still resides in the one standing before her crying too, she just never got to see that side to them because she never bothered to figure that side to them out. (AND the "your" is intentionally written twice, like its referring to both eri in the present and eri in the past. by failing to understand them, chun tao feels like he's failing both eris.)

as mentioned earlier, chun tao gets mad at eri for having a "perfect life" and thinks theyd never understand her. but. the thing is. chun tao isnt LETTING them understand her. she keeps pushing them away. and she realizes it was presumptuous to assume they would understand her, because well. she.. doesnt even know what eri's Been through atp. she just assumed eri's life's been perfect because theyre so composed and chipper, but she didnt know who they were a couple years ago at all. she thinks that bc eri's secret relationship is lovey-dovey that their love is perfect, but chun tao didn't see their toxic yuri of a start and that they face a lot of problems as a couple too. chun tao thinks that bc eri is so well-loved by the public that thats that, but she remembers that people gossiped AND gossip hard about them bc of their status as a non-sorcerer. they were dehumanized and alienated by the public too, just like her. and this realization hits her HARD.

he then tries to make an effort to be more involved in eri's life after this point, reconciling with them and becoming their best friend. okay tbh the scene described in the character study is NOT the same as the one pictured in the animatic but i HAD to get a hug in there somewhere.

the last two scenes are a BIG flashforward to ursa's creation, where chun tao is panicking hard about eri literally dying to create their homunculus baby. also ursa is drawn in white but has eri's yellow present too, showing how he's a combination of them, their little kid :D

the whole lyric bit of "but i cant shake this feeling that i was only pushing the spear into your side, again and again and again" is supposed to represent chun tao feeling like a thorn on eri's side causing them pain. he scolded them for being nice to him, and they went on to sacrifice their life in a dangerous ritual to create their son and uphold tradition, but he just feels so so guilty for all of that. he cant shake the feeling that he's a source of their pain and suffering, and it eats him up alive.

ok ANYWAY moving on to the CHARACTER STUDY NOW!!!!!!!!!! just parallels and stuff w the writing

guys im a fucking feature writer of course im going to start and end with the same phrase ("chun tao is not a people peson, and his family knows this very well"). chun tao refers to two different families in the opening and closing segments: in the first he refers to his biological family, and in the second its about the family he found and made in quiro. both his families knows he struggles with social interactions, and his bio family (his cousins) make fun of him for it, so he goes on to detail how he views social interactions as a system, a formula he understands. his family in quiro instead tries to HELP him get better at it, and he instead recognizes that social interactions are something personal that require heart and genuine investment (shown in how he notes that ursa cares about him deeply), even moving past his frozen style of speech with the mention of jokes. tldr he's fucking cringefail at socializing and his bio family called him cringe but his chosen family said he's cringe but free. what

Perfect life/love/reputation. At first he hates eri for having these "perfect" things and thinks theyre sooo happy because of it, but later on realizes that their life isnt perfect and neither is his, but he finds joy in what he has anyway :)

the repeated mention of chun tao saying he'd never fall in love with eri bc he's so stuck in his rigid view of romance, but later comes to love eri as his best friend AND love his found family too :'3

chun tao wondering earlier if she should try to emulate eri's pleasantries, and ends up doing so later down the line! both lines have the same structure with the "quick greeting + smile despite being tired"

"Ahia" is Chinese for the eldest brother and it's also used to refer to children to know their birth order. Chun Tao calling Ursa this is an acknowledgement of him going to be a big brother soon! tbh in my head thats what the meeting eri called for is about but its just my headcanon (<== SAID THE ONE WRITING THE STORY)

ALSO i dont have screenshots to show but eri is only intentionally mentioned by name in the flashforward, to show how back then chun tao only saw them as THE princess/monarch but eventually comes to recognize them as eri, his bestie :3

my wacky animal crossing band AU headcanon hehe haha huhu

okay real talk i’ve had this little fake band thing in my head for years and I wanna get it out

so this is inspired by a line where isabelle da dog mentions having a band. they play fast wacky post-hardcore jazzpunk together.

the lineup is:

cherry - guitar, occasional vocal

tabby - bass, main vocalist

isabelle - percussion, other main vocalist

idk what their band name is. i prob would've named them something stupid like "Yeastie Girlz" or some shit if that name wasn't already taken.

isabelle and cherry know each other from youth when they did juvie kid shit back in the day lol. they stayed hooked up with each other when they went through their own young adult periods, and then went back to living in the same town when they moved to the poppin island village of Mycelium. they met tabby on that island and she joined up with their band because of simpatico vibes.

releases are usually albums with a shitload of small tracks with maybe one or two kinda long ones, and then sometimes an EP with a small number of really long tracks. cherry throws a lot of effects on her guitar so her playing ends up sounding like a bunch of loud chirping and wobbly metal scraping and wee woo wee woo. tabby plays her bass lines fast, has a boppy funky sound to playing, is not afraid to put on an effect pedal though usually to make her bass to sound like a wall of grotty rhythmic drones. isabelle can’t really go free jazz freakish on percussion bc their songs are ultimately too structured to allow that, but she tries! she can also do blastbeats. really fucking technical, building all those PWPs must’ve made her jacked

they're all pretty serious about their love of jazz. alright here's more info about them individually

isabelle - she grew up in the country and still has that farm kid twang to her voice. crazy childhood but filing taxes really ended up affecting her deeply and now she's by far the most well-adjusted member of the group if you define "well-adjusted" in a certain way. got a very impressive engineering degree in college, and as a reward she now works a lousy government job for a pittance + 500 bells that she WILL spend impulsively on something stupid. cherry sometimes jokes around about how she's a sellout for that but it aint serious, she understands the common worker's struggle. and, yknow, isabelle sincerely cares about doing the best for her town in the system she's stuck in so like, cmon dont be harsh on her. her public face is pretty mild-mannered, sometimes shes kinda matter-of-fact about things, but overall she nails that peppy energy everyone loves to receive from people in service when she's not flubbing stuff too much. in her personal life -- well, she doesn't have THAT many friends out there -- but with the ones she does have, she likes to be a little goofball, especially when linking zany energies with tabby. she has like a 4 year old's sense of humor but if anyone can sell peepee poopoo humor its her dumb ass. sings lead vocals on about half of their songs, her voice is loud, bright, and honestly pretty goofy because of that Country Gurl accent she has, but fits well with the generally nonserious and kinda everything-happening-at-once vibe of their music. what're her fits like, btw? an absolutely delightfully meticulous (she comes up with 90% of her wardrobe on the fly) combination of christian girl autumn, normcore, sillywave, raymondpunk, bio-wibbletech, and just a dash of edgy looking band merch or novelty t-shirts to really complete the look.

cherry - the thoughful, philosophical engine of the group even though she hardly writes any lyrics and mostly sits in the back making funny neenee noodleynoo noises with her guitar but trust me here. grew up in the same rural town as isabelle, and ended up moving back in a town where izzy now works! (its only like 75% a coincidence, she had to chase the money and figured Mycelium job market and being able to see her bestie was the best choice) She works a dead-end bullshit retail job on the island and always looks like she wants to kill everybody there. very loudly a proud commie through and through, she likes to wear this little red-guard lookin hat everywhere. the band are not embarrassed about their leftist messaging but cherry is by far the most motivated to stir up some shit. she helps organize locally and is very serious about reading up on Theory and has very little tolerance for poseurs. VERY occasionally does lead vocals, in that case she's writing the lyrics, hers are a lot more existential and political in nature than the other two's. very deep voice, she basically sounds like a scary Goth yknow? her singing voice is monotone and basically just her normal voice with more authority. she likes to put on an austere face but she's the easiest to make laugh, even at isabelle's dumbass jokes -- the other gals of course take advantage of this to tease her. as a strongly passionate individual she is also the most likely to start ranting at her computer screen when she's having trouble with something. she's got a pretty solid costume for concert appearances and photo ops that makes her probably the most recognizable member: Mao hat, long jacket, ragged looking pants, combat boots, and a pair of sunglasses.

tabby - every band needs the crazy one! she could bomb a hospital and the band would still have to drag her along because she's just that fucking good at bass. absolutely crazy mastery of speed and technique, her bouncing basslines usually provide a melodic counterpart to cherry's industrial vague notions towards "music" and whatever the fuck isabelle is doing back there. she's the only one without any classical training, though! as the lead bassist, she keeps the lead guitarist and lead drummer in check, creating a beautiful homeostasis of chaotic, highly technical songwriting and playing with all the brutality and energy of hardcore punk but also some of that inherent nerd-ass quality that comes with having three extremely proficient instrumentalists that know how to do a lot of things with their instruments. but enough of that bullshit, we gotta get to her VOCALS! she covers the majority of non-isabelle songs and her voice contrasts nicely -- isabelle has a deeper voice, sings brashly and over-the-top like she's eartha kitt doing i wanna be evil if she held her notes twice as long, but yknow she's been in classes for that and knows what she's doing and has a wide octave range. tabby meanwhile sounds like a living cartoon character.... BECAUSE SHE IS ONE!! but seriously she's got that high pitched peppy voice, but with enough roughness and scratchyness to it to make it actually fit the music. her speaking voice is actually pretty normal, but on the mic she leans into the most nasal, obnoxious tones possible. she got that shmorky voice to her i wont lie BUT SHE MAKES IT WORK!!! just say shes like uhhhh female psychicpebbles or something so you dont make her look lame. im being overdramatic about her voice btw, she actually has a pretty decent range and a FANTASTIC growl + scream but those only come out every-so-often. her lyrics are often violent, disgusting, brutally blunt in detail, and she's the one most inclined to doing crazy antics on stage. she usually comes to concerts in full leather wrapped with chains and parts of her body tied up and shit and like whatever nasty looking medical equipment she could find to put on her face and after each concert will be taken home bleeding from at least 2 or 3 different places. she's pretty chill irl though, but definitely as big as a goofball as isabelle. isabelle's the one that always takes leads on a goof attack, and tabby plays second-hand along with chief goof-strategist much to the annoyance/mirth of cherry. isabelle and cherry dont know much about her past yet bc she's pretty mum on talking about it much, but apparently she had rich parents but cut contact with them years back, and now just has an average ol life doing part time as a janitor, odd jobs on the side, and living in a nasty little apartment with her roomie katt. still, that general wealth helped a little, and she was able to build what she saved into a fairly stable life, so she's usually the one paying out of pocket for most of the band expenses. she's legit though, u know that because cherry would've beat her up otherwise

The laidback energy of this song is similar to Cake by the Ocean if im not mistaken. Interestingly the chorus uses a falsetto style singing and we just happened to have falsetto kings on us in the form of Soobin and Taehyun.

It has a higher bpm than i expected. The precussion (? I dont actually know any technical music terms) definitely gave the song something. Bc it really needed something. Anything.

Very Very simplistic in both song and MV. which i suppose is not something we get in Kpop Land anymore. But for me it doesnt do anything memorable or interesting to hold my attention.

I feel bad for all the flak i gave JoBros. They are kinda cool. Their presentation and music has some sense of personality, even tho i cant tell you what it is (cant be said about most men in Pop Music). They gave out an aura of effortlessness from seasoned performers, and the instruments definitely helped.

other than that i think most of my interests are something he'd at least enjoy. like maybe he's not as familiar with pet care/animals as i am (i have a Lot of different pets) but he's definitely not someone who is bad with animals either. AND there's gardening, which i really love and would. find his company during it really nice. i think he'd like it too (though not as consistently gardening as i would be doing)

a hard question since i am a creature of self indulgence and like to believe we mesh Very well all the time always. but the closest i can say is that he is much more extroverted and kind in general whereas i Am Not Those Things. he's a performer and i super am not. he's also very smart and devotes a lot of time to study and learning which i dont think i could do.

and on the flip side: he's not as aggressive and blunt with certain things. i think he CAN be very blunt (he IS an honest person and not exactly known to always be polite- mischievous jester and all that) but immediate aggression towards someone is not something i imagine him doing. and while he is also impulsive i think our impulsive natures can manifest in different ways. he probably wouldnt run head first into danger or assume the worst about someone who was being an ass. i (and creature, s/i) do these things lol

i didn't know a lot of these songs because 95% of what i listen to (outside of like, broadway musical albums/disney movie soundtracks/video game music lmao) is rock/metal/punk, i don't listen to much pop music or anything, so i looked up the lyrics to most of them but here's some thoughts:

be quiet and drive is a song i DO know and i can totally see that!! however, this is going to sound really silly but the reason why you picked it reminded me of making the most of the night by carly rae jepsen and then i thought of let's get lost, also by her. i'm imagining the first song from vil's POV and the second from idia's. yes i just said i don't listen to much pop music but carly rae jepsen is an icon 💖

i wanna be your boyfriend fits SO perfectly after i looked it up. the part that goes "all the guys are crowding around / they're telling you the same things that i planned to say / i thought i was unique / maybe I'm not that way" because vil is so famous and everybody already tells him how beautiful and talented he is all the time so idia thinks he doesn't have anything special to say... augh that's so good.

the lyrics to wear sunscreen are so sweet... you're so right about both of them making each other better and both not being that familiar with romantic feelings. vil's had all kinds of people who he doesn't even know try to confess their love to him, and it's possible that he's acted in romance movies before, but that doesn't mean he's ever known what it really felt like to be in love before.

love like you is such a great song because you can really make it fit just about any two people who love each other if you want to, and i can so easily see it from both vil or idia's POV. imagine "i always thought i might be bad, now i'm sure that it's true, cause i think you're so good and i'm nothing like you" and it could be idia thinking about how vil always works so hard and tries to help everyone else be the best they can be and he just isn't like that... or it could be vil thinking about how idia literally loved his brother so much that he figured out a way to bring him back from the dead, when he was only a child and vil at the same age was busy worrying about his acting career and never could've done something like that.

AND the mention of the mean girls musical reminds me, can i also just. go off on a quick tangent about wicked again. please imagine the beginning of the song "what is this feeling" but with vil and idia (as glinda and elphaba respectively, of course). really the WHOLE song is so them, but i just think about vil and idia going "there's been some confusion for you see my roommate is..." "unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe" "blonde 🙄" and it kills me every time it's SOOO funny to me.

[So in case someone's reading this thinking ???? we sometimes throw a spinning wheel of songs at each other and then just go rambling yelling analysing whatever it gives back. I've kept track with this tag, feel free to copy any of them wheels links and go off or bug someone with it actually pls do]

Oh you mean that song I for some reason like some total idiot put on first thing in the morning and just bawl my eyes out, you know when its so early you're just so vulnerable and everything feels raw and there's no thoughts just something primal happens and it's me drowning myself in this song and then the day can start I guess am I fine nobody knows. It's now my Saturday morning ritual where before coffee I see some sun and I just bawl there's something therapeutic about it. I'd recommend it. Just some sun some coffee brewin some confused pet wondering if you're OK yeah.

Anyway. The song I can place extremely easily in like "1d ended and it sucked" context, but it works with a lot. whatever I can think of him, or anyone, writing about, whatever it means to me. (general Louis' songwriting ramble incoming:) I'm looking at FITF differently compared to Walls and previous work and he's approached it differently, I feel like what he's been saying about his discography fits that as well. I think (this is a mash of what i think to hear in his lyrics and in interviews, so heavy paraphrasing:) before he had this idea he should be writing where the whole thing makes sense to be about this one situation/idea and it has to be about him too and sure perhaps a context might have been written around it, but i think in the past hes been pretty perfectionist on having every single line fit the thing he was thinking of what that song is, and now thats no longer the case. Now it's whatever works, whatever hits, feels, does it. It doesn't matter one thought/situation flows into another.

I guess that was a long rambley way of saying I wanna do line by line lyric analyses of his stuff but I don't know how to make that work as it did previously, for me at least. But on the other by temporarily running with one interpretation and seeing what you can find in the lines can really help see more angles, bring more depth to the line, and consider other meanings and stuff so.. idk not much wrong with it. I wanna do that too I think. This is I guess A Promise I'll do a Holding On To Heartache lyric breakdown. At Some Point. :D

But I think his choices of words and soundscapes and perhaps all them being little references are just wonderful. I cherish it so much. I'm slightly afraid he did the same in Perfect Now (like after seeing a web of possible perfect now lyrical referencing that song did become one of my favs as I love that idea like it gives so much more body depth meaning whatever to a song to me even if not on purpose lol its not even relevant at that point anymore anyway) and long term didn't value it much so now I'm afraid my new little more poppy fav will be his new neglected child but time will tell. Just... have an itch. Rip. EDIT yeah that itch got worse because of the track by track we got now.. it's got that bit about HOTH being a poppy one and the way he's talking about it sigh i feel him but sigh also hes sigh i dont wannt start that discourse over that shit so no. but itch. I uh... luckily don't let how I interpret his reactions to his own songs affect the way I feel about his own songs haha brainpayne this.

ok ok ok last ramble it sounds so fucking liquid? so wet?? how do I explain this why does it sound w e t EDIT: help me he said the sound is like a guitar under water like he's drowning it's flooding we're in a puddle of tears this song, it's what makes me bawl I think, because the song sounds like bawling, and your cheeks are puffed up and we,t and you find a moment of quiet and stare up at the sky with your wet lashes exhausted defeated but you're still here you're still breathing. Also the bridge with the "space between us just comes FLOODING back" at the end of it, it's not the bit that hits the hardest in an obvious way, instead it kinda gets overlooked a way, theres no moment to sit and waddle in the SHIT FLOODING BACK RIGHT THERE it just goes right into the quiet bit again,there's no time given to recover from getting crushed by the wavesm and it just does something to me... I can't leave that bit as the little end of a big thought it sounds like, but the way its sung... time just keeps ticking and we're at the end. I'm almost sure that wasn't intentional and like @ me why focus on this of all the overwhelm that's in this song, but that just feels like a reflection of the feeling I get from this song, you're just fucking sitting there in the middle of this overwhelming ache these waves of hurt and shit just moves on and youre just there stuck there with but i wasn't done? But I guess I should be? Like there's no room for me drowning in this even more but I feel like I need to still?

smthn smthn “when it’s cold i’d like to die” smthn smthn “he likes it cold” smthn smthn “cold as ice”  cold as ice is seemingly the milkvan breakup song but i actually think it’s will pov towards mike.  especially considering that like i’ve talked about before, “she’s got you” that plays during a jopper s3 scene in melvalds doesn’t make any sense for jopper/that scene, just like how ‘cold as ice’ doesn’t really make sense for the melvin breakup, because it’s played for laughs, and “cold as ice” is about someone who is being materialistic and selfish (we JUST watched mike try and buy a material apology for el instead of actually apologize + then yknow all of his behaviour in s3 towards both will and el and being selfish).  Like el doesn’t see mike as being cold as ice in that scene because she’s the one breaking up with him, and she’s laughing over it and having a blast. And like with the jopper scene, and how ‘she’s got you’ doesnt apply to that exact moment in time for will, but rather, the other scenes of will looking at mike with el and also the castle byers scene, i don’t think that the melvin breakup scene is WHEN ‘cold as ice’ is from will’s pov, but rather, I think it’s during the rain fight scene.  And i think it’s a double meaning, i think it applies to milkvan because the song is about superficiality and materialism + was by foreigner’s own words, one of the more commercial songs they’d written, but I also think that the content of the song applies more towards will’s pov towards mike than it does towards the milkvan breakup.  Like here’s the main thing, bc i feel like i’m getting convoluted: -the song’s lyrics do not apply to El when she is breaking up with mike because she is not being cold but more importantly, SHES NOT BEING SUPERFICIAL OR MATERIALISTIC!! she’s breaking up with him for very real, important reasons related to the way that he treats her.  -the song’s lyrics DO apply towards mike’s actions and him being materialistic and selfish, but the lyrics of the song also DONT apply to him because they’re about the girl/person doing the breaking-up being the selfish/materialistic one and leaving their partner for selfish/materialistic reasons and mike is not the one doing the breaking-up with in his relationship with el, because she breaks up with him -the perfect middle ground here is if the song’s lyrics are from will’s pov towards mike, like a breakup scenario (even tho theyre not technically together they def have breakup vibes in s3 esp with the rain fight), then mike is the one doing the breaking-up AND he’s the one being materialistic/selfish. it’s the only scenario where both elements of the song fit into place because they don’t fit with el and they don’t fit with mike from el’s pov (again bc she’s the one breaking up with him) but they DO fit with mike from will’s pov.  especially considering that the other foreigner song is ‘waiting for a girl like you,” and plays during the stancy vs  barb’s death scene and barb’s unrequited love for nancy but also nancy ignoring barb in favor of steve, much like mike ignoring Will in favour of El.  “when it’s cold i’d like to die” “cold as ice” (mike is being cold) being applied to mike and will/especially the rain fight “he (the mindflayer) likes it cold” (will feels the mindflayer again right after the rain fight)  Now my memory of s3 is hazy, but isn’t it a little weird that Will doesn’t feel the mindflayer until that castle byers scene? because it’s been active long before that throughout s3, so why right then??? maybe it’s because he’s weakened emotionally, like how vecna stalks and torments his victims to cause them emotional pain and then strikes. i don’t think that vecna influenced the rain fight or anything, but rather, maybe that emotional pain makes will more susceptible to that connection/makes the connection stronger.  will wants to die when its cold -> will is cold when mike/someone hurts him emotionally -> the mindflayer likes the cold/likes the emotional pain, just like how vecna strikes on victims who are in emotional pain/puts his victims through emotional pain in order to strike plus, like i said, another foreigner song plays when barb dies. the emotional pain of what happened with nancy making barb more vulnerable to being taken by vecna/the ‘demogorgon’.

Go Watch the Venture Brothers

So just heard the complete and utter Bullshit news that Adult Swim has cancelled one of (if not the best shows) they have the Venture Bros. This series is one of those shows that for WHATEVER reason never got to the level of fandom Rick and Morty has even though they’ve been at the genre parody game longer and in my opinion better. 

The series is about Rusty Venture former boy adventurer and failing super scientist who in an attempt to keep his head above water in debt goes around with his two boys Hank and Dean, and bodyguard Brock on misadventues while various legal archnemisis go after him, such as the Monarch. 

So if you never watched or never heard of this 7 season series let me give you a break down on why you should, 

1) Art Style & Animation

Venture bros is one of those rare Adult aimed animated series that that really truly tries to utilize their medium to the best of their abilities. Season 1 had like such a small budget and corners had to be cut so it can be a little hard to watch at times. 

But with each passing season they get a little better, a little more fluid, go just a little harder and it truly feels rewarding to watch. Like seeing an artist you follow online improve over the years. Like they COULD have stayed with the choppy and stiff animation from season 1 it fit right in with its fellow adult animated shows but it didn’t. They strove for quality to have something that matched the story they were telling.

2) The Writing 

Venture Bros has some of the tightest and consistently great writing of ANY serialized show I’ve seen, adult, animated or other wise. Wanna know why? Cause it’s all done by TWO people (save for like one ep each season where one other person is allowed to touch their baby). Yeah TWO people and they work their asses off every season to interject, humor, refrences, parody, plot and character development in equal measure. 

3) Character Development

Um yes in case you were wondering that’s right an adult animated show has CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT  that holds as the series goes on. Not to give spoilers but characters will go through changes in alignment, relationships will develop and change, some characters will go through negative arcs where they are straight up unbareable for a season before coming out the other side even better than they were before. There is no end of epsiode or even end of season reset. Characters, settings, and dynamics all change over the course of the show and it feels just so god damn good.

4) Story Development 

Just like the characters the story of the Venture Bros grows and changes each season. Things that are set up even as early as season one are paid off as the series goes on. Like not to be that bitch but you know how RIck and Morty teases an overarching plot ALL THE TIME but like will often just spit in the face of fans hoping for more than like one episode a season addressing it? Yeahhhhhhh that doesnt happen here, fans are consistently rewarded for putting the time in to rewatch and really think about what happened in the series. Characters that are seen in the background or are just referenced by other characters will be brought in to be recurring characters, things that start off as a small detail or gag will be given larger relevance and each time they do this you get that “OH I remember that from last season! So thats what it was!” The writers WANT you to rewatch, they WANT you to analyze and they WANT you to theorize, and they give you a show that gives back the time you put in.

5) Parody & Reference 

This series does a great thing with parody. They make real characters  who are just as enjoyable as the characters they parody, they make story lines that both poke fun at the absurdity of the media but shows the writers love for it. So often parody and references are just used to mock the thing but with Venture Bros you feel the love and care so when you know the thing being parodied you can laugh but feel good about laughing cause they are never laughing at a thing maybe you cared for in your youth but rather laughing with it.

And it’s never just one thing. When they parody a thing its often layered with other things to make it even more unique. Scooby-Doo is overlayed with famous criminals, Laura Croft is mixed Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, GI Joe is given the look of the Village People and so on. They never go for the easy joke or reference. Hell theres an episode that starts with them reciting the lyrics to David Bowies Space Oddity for really no reason other than they could. They weave these things in naturally with their setting and characters so nothing feels out of place. Like if you dont catch a reference or parody you dont feel like “I think this isa reference to something?” like a LOT of things do not just adult animated shows. You arent taken out of the moment cause it all feels so natural. 

6) The Characters 

God damn these characters, I could go on for hours about these characters. From main to one off these are some of the most likeable characters you can find. I mean it when I say I can’t think of a single character I wish they had cut cause they are all so well created. Even the ones I hate i have fun hating cause they were made to be that way. I’ll be good though I’ll only talk about my absolute top faves.

- The Monarchs

You ever sit and wish villain couples could have functional  healthy relationships? Well look no further than Malcom Fitzcarraldo aka The Monarch and Dr. Shelia Girlfriend (yes that is her last name). The Monarch is a high strung impulsive saturday morning cartoon villain whos tendency to over react is only matched by his unspecified hatred of Dr. Venture. And Dr. G is his nonsense partner in crime who will cut a bitch if they don’t play by their admittedly weird rules. Both characters are great on their own but are better together. Though that doesnt mean they always get along. Like a real couple they have their ups and downs they fight, break up, make-up and grow stronger in their relationship with each season. 

- Shore Leave

Ok ok so I want you to imagine James Bond, mixed with GI Joe simmering in a cocktail of the most flamboyant gay men you have ever seen and you have one of my favorite gay characters/characters in general. Shore Leave is a member of OSI (the shows SHEILD/GI Joe parody organization) he’s loud, brash, flippant, sassy and highly competent at his job loving every second of getting to beat bad guys down within an inch of their life. I love seeing him play off the stoic Brock and the two have this great brotherly dynamic that’s never called into question. He also gets to have a very cute romance with Al the Alchemist (who is also great). I could talk about this man all day.

- Dr. Rusty Venture

They did such a good job with this man. He’s a self serving, sexist, perverted, whinny, self important asshole and yet you feel pity and genuine sympathy for him and want him to succeed. You can see how Dr. V was given a raw deal by his father who seemed to care more about his adventures than his sons well being and how this molded him into the bitter man he is today, but on the flip side you can see where he chose to use that as a crutch for his worst behaviors and impulses. Seeing him slowly grow and change and be an actual good father to his boys while all the while still be a giant dick is actually really great. 

- Dr. Byron Orpheus 

Ahhhhh Dr. Orpheus part Dr. Strange Parody part busybody stay at home dad, he’s just such a delight. Dr. Orpheus is a divorcee, with an unfulfilling job of maintaining order to the cosmos (which isnt as hard as one might think), and uses his magical ablities in ways most of us would (ie menial tasks and home chores). Overly dramatic and affectionate Dr. O is a delight whenever he appears, but he’s at his best around his daughter and old friends The Order of the Triad. 

Again I can go on but all these characters ranging from main to recurring are crafted with the utmost care for you to want to see them succeed or fail, to see them again even if you know it’ll never happen, and want them to cross paths with other characters. 

The Venture Bros is one of those series that I will ALWAYS recommend even to the pickiest of humor tastes. But if you don’t believe its as good as I said or don’t think the concept is to your tastes I’ll recommend a few eps that I think best show off the base idea of the series without giving much away. In terms of plot and spoilers, though somethings wont make a lot of sense. 

- S1 ep10 "Tag Sale – You're It!" - Dr. V is having a yard sale so of course all manner of costumed weirdos show up.  - S2 ep5 "Twenty Years to Midnight" - basically a fetch quest around the world to save the planet with daddy issues - S3 ep2 "The Doctor Is Sin" - Again daddy issues but with one of the best recurring characters and a great showcase of the series deeper emotional plots - S4 ep6 "Self-Medication" - Really embraces the parody as Rusty goes to a former boy adventurer support group.  Anyway the show is 7 seasons with 80 episodes, please go watch it. I will never forgive @adultswim​ for cancelling what was to be their final season. And in closing GO TEAM VENTURE!

SPOILERS FOR WTIT :

Foreshadowing of Logan's Outburst or Snap and Indications of Future Problems

After rewatching some of the Sanders Sides past episodes, it seems very clear that Logan's outburst is fairly unsurprising. But, there may be some other foreshadowing thats taking place other than his outburst, and maybe his future dilemma's maybe indicated as well.

One example i saw is his question in the musical number of the puppet episode, where Patton explains his repression of emotion, and Logan seemingly asking if it worked in some way. And almost seemingly shocked by Patton's answer.

It almost seems like he was trying to find the answer to his own problem. He's repeated before that he has NO feelings or emotions, and that he has no care of sentiments. He's in denial of his emotions and Patton's situation seem to fascinate him because he seems to have the same problem. Almost like the more he ignores his emotions, the more he believes they disappear altogether, like what Patton said. The answer seemed to shocked him either because of Patton learning and applying the lesson he learned, or because he had a similar problem and shocked by an unexpected answer. This feels like a foreshadow to Logan's problem, and this is not the only example of that. All instances of Logan denying his emotions are just further evidence that thats his problem. His acceptance of his emotions. This is me not doing too much research here, so bear with me if theres a way to debunk it.

Of course this isnt a surprise to some, but this is a foreshadow to his outburst. The further you fill this jar of emotions, the closer it is to bursting into a field of emotions and outbursts. I think maybe the future episode might tackle that problem. Denial is a form of deception, you cant have deception WITHOUT denial in some capacity. You can tell that Janus in some way knows Logan's dilemma, he is deceit after all, he knows that Logan has a tendency to deny his own emotions. Even the other sides seem to know this as well. Logan always clarifies he has no emotions and this further feeds deceit.

Janus and Remus' push comes to shove

This can also explain why Janus and Remus push Logan to a different level than all the other sides. An example of this is the newest asides video(WTIT) and both SvS and SvS redux. Why are there methods of pushing Logan away different from the other sides? Well, lets first see how the other sides do this. First, the other sides never do this intentionally or in a malicious way. They explain Logan why his point of view doesnt particularly matter, and that their argument is more feasible. They dont FORCE Logan aside, they just dont put the effort to listen and comprehend his input. Example of this is the end card of WTIT, Patton choosing to ignore Logan's input on SvS Redux, and Thomas, Patton, and Roman almost ignoring and nonchalantly putting aside his wants in the Moving On episode. They dont force Logan away, they just dont give value to his input enough for him to feel worthy.

Remus and Janus' way is through FORCE. Theyre upfront and malicious with their tactics. Remus blatantly targeting Logan specifically on the introductory episode of him. Janus disguising himself, two times, as Logan to remove him from the equation. They both force Logan down, to try and bring themselves up. I dont particularly know why theyre pushing Logan to his limits. Either an entry for the Orange side?

But this is whats weird. Janus is responsible to who or which side can be seen. Hes responsible on who is hidden away from Thomas, and who isnt. Thats why in Remus' song mentions this;

Recently a snake offered me a morsel from the tree of knowledge

He said "you're wanting to be more honest

And be direct dealing with your issues

No longer will you deceive yourself about the ugliness within you"

(a certain thing i suddenly realize is that the 'tree of knowledge' is referenced in WTIT. The last end shot where it pans to Logan and the roots of the tree to Janus. Just a small thing i realized :) )

So why does the orange side need 'influence'? Yes, Thomas has a say on what he wants to see and what he doesnt, but what about Remus? In a way its far more fitting for him to just barge in rather than have permission to show up. But if we were to assume Orange as rage or a form of it, why does he NEED influence (assuming he does) to truly be seen? A question that im hoping will get answered in future episodes.

Janus' power and deniability

Janus has more power than we think. He can shut the sides up about a certain side in order for Thomas to be unaware. So maybe, in the end card, Janus is hinting for the Orange Side to finally being seen because of his help. His power stems from something but what?

Have you noticed something in common with all of the dark sides introductory episodes? They all speak about DENIAL. Denial of Thomas' capacity to deceit and the denial of imagination having an 'evil form' of it. His denial is what keeps the dark sides at bay, and what keeps him from knowing about the other sides. I think thats the main reason why Janus has the power to show Thomas the other sides, because denial is a form of deceit, and Janus has power over that.

And who else has a BIG problem with deniability? Logan. Logan denies that his emotions even exist in the first place. One example of denial being a big part is this line that really stuck with me,

No longer will you deceive yourself about the ugliness within you

Janus is speaking to Remus yes, but this also resonates with Logan and Thomas. 'Deceiving yourself' is lying to yourself, denying the existence of bad within you. Remus KNOWS that Logan is lying to himself, because it seems like Remus had the same experience with how Janus told this to him specifically. He knows Logan's problems and the whole "Now youre speakin' my language" makes even more sense. He saw Logans truth. His ugliness within him.

Another line also stuck with me is this;

Why deny yourself knowledge

Say knowledge of yourself?

You don't need to feel ashamed with your dear old Duke

You need not feign decency

This also seems so targeted to Logan. He feigns that he has no emotions therefore has no flawed and hurtful emotions that can target Thomas. He feigns decency. Also! 'Why deny yourself knowledge, say knowledge of yourself?' seems to resonate with Logan as well. Im not saying these lyrics are TARGETED SPECIFICALLY towards Logan, but resonate instead.

Think about it, denial is the reason why dark sides are hidden. And Logan denies his emotions. Connect the dots and its understandable why some people believe Logan to be either hiding something about the Orange side, or him being the Orange side in general.

TLDR; Logans denial of his emotions is a big problem that may be addressed in future episodes. Denial is a big part of the dark sides anonymity and Thomas' deniability is the very reason for hidden dark sides.

Both Remus and Janus push Logan for either an entry way for Orange, but still skeptical because of Janus having the power to make dark sides be seen based on his control of deniability, so why put the effort?

Logan's connection to denial maybe a more reason why he seems to be the only side that explicitly shows anger to the point of physical pain towards others or other outbursts. Deniability and the dark sides having a connection seems to further push the theory of Logan showing his true colors or self. Of course that theory has many flaws in of itself, i think Logan's denial has a big part as to why he showed orange eyes
