now that its been a while since you first came up with the list of what different emotions taste like to grian and you've been writing in hunger au for a while, do you have an updated list? like, is there any specific emotional nuances that have specific tastes to you, or do you just go based on vibe and whatever you need for what youre currently writing? (i mostly ask because i've been trying to figure out a taste for Relief, and the most i've been able to figure is some combination of happiness, anxiety, and maybe a bit of sadness, but those flavors dont exactly play nice together)

I sorta play between both vibes and what i think constitutes as the general categories of emotion!!!

A very long time ago i was introduced to this wheel, and found it super useful as a guide on helping group emotions together-- so whenever im coming up with a new taste, i try to stick to some core tastes that correspond with the 7 emotions defined at the center of the wheel, then introducing nuances that can adapt to the scene at large :]]

Emotions that fall into a happier range taste like sickly sweet burnt sugar, while anger is rich and gamey. Fear fizzles like pop rocks and tastes a bit coppery, often overlapping with anger, while sadness tastes like salt and acid. Surprise i think falls under spicy, disgust is more minty, and "bad" is a bit harder to define. I think bad either doesnt really taste (i cant imagine boredom tasting like Anything except maybe cardboard lol) or just happens to share overlap with anger, fear, and disgust

Aside from that tho yeah i do tend to go for vibes within them EKFHWKDJDK and i have in fact had to go back and be like "DID I ALREADY ESTABLISH THIS. OH MY GODS I GOTTA START TAKING MORE CONSISTENT NOTES" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 every day my long ass update schedule bites me

Anyway for relief specifically i think i would personally group that closer to happiness and surprise-- if i had to define it in a vacuum, id say it would taste somewhat like honey chipotle for Grian, a sweet-and-spicy mix. But honestly after a while the vibes do hold more sway than the consistency, and thats where all those mixed emotions come in too. NOW onto the main event: I've done some thinking for the small revisions/ fitting that oneshot into the timeline,, Reader is a born and raised Snezhnayan,, Pantalone is born in Liyue (pry this hc from my dead HANDS hoyoverse) but he's renounced that nation and its god for never lending a helping hand,, and now resides in Snezhnaya under the Tsaritza. Based on Arlecchino's jab at him in the Lazzo trailer,, Im assuming Pantalone RARELY ever travels out of snezhnaya.

For this,, let's just say: This is Loverboy's 3rd year of service, where all fatuus are mandated to carry out orders abroad. Work experience and what not. Maybe 4-ish months into working bank in liyue, reader is vibing- but orders come from Pantalone,, a handful of fatui are expected to dig up dirt on a Liyuean man's business and report back to Pantalone. It's CEO boss would be meeting Pantaloone soon. Small group project. No biggie. Loverboy isn't stupid. The fatui didnt make it to where they are WITHOUT underhanded ethics.

So he goes. Back to snezhnaya in his group with trade secrets in tow. The meeting goes terribly. bullets and blades fly. So does loverboy and pantalone out a window. A hydro vision is granted. Pantalone does the kill FOR reader. You know how it goes-

Im thinking that this mission with loverboy's first blood can be the follow up Part 2 of that. Pantalone gets to: 1. tie up loose ends with any witnesses that got away. Can't have the scandal of a failed endeavor run thorugh the streets. 2. take his relatively naive subordinate for a spin. He simply Had to see what made Celestia grant their authority unto loverboy. And not him

Afterwards when all is said and done, man killed and Loverboy dismissed back to liyue to finish his final year of duty,, pantalone can rest a little easy knowing reader is on the right track for now,, afterall, there's only so much he can do as a High ranked fatui Officiant. He has his own goals to conquer for now,, maybe he'll get back to his loverboy pet project After becoming a Harbinger.

Good things come to those who wait. It's a matter of how long. I think pantalone can already guess that reader would quit the fatui business after his mandated 3 years. Thats fine with him tho. He know's Loverboy would come right back.

yes,, this could be a minor thing to adjust: i think we could actually fit this oneshot somewhere AFTER he gets his vision,, and BEFORE Pantalone becomes the Harbinger Regrator. Can be a valid reason for Pantalone to see that reader failed to kill the assassin from their shitty negotiation meeting,, and wanting to newly test him again after he had his vision + ambitions awakened to see if he can get past the fear of killing NOW.  i was going to put snow white higher but finally i think this is possible Hans could actually Hates her. Because if he could relate to her about the whole having tyrannical parental figure  that treat you like trash there is one trait of snow white personality that i can see Hans hating a lot. this is not her naive , kind , sweet side but Her bossy side. like snow white really knows how to be bossy ( i can see her be like that also with her prince not only the dwarfs ) and she seems to likes takes the leads. So since Hans is someone that have been bossed around his whole life and also can be pretty bossy himself i think this is possible he could not stand her 😂

Like if snow white was at Elsa coronation i can see her taking charge wanting  to propose soup , blanket without being the ruler and so Hans will be just there pissed off fuck ! she is doing my job ! 😂

11- Merida  :

first , i think Hans would find silly Merida fight against arranged marriage. He view marriage as something political not as something romantic. marriage seems to be for him something link to politic , strategy , power , and even maybe a duty as a prince ?.in a frozen heart Hans is upset his father is not gonna marry him saying that he knows he is not marry him and is gonna end in the brotherhood.  So i think this is possible he will dont like how irresponsible she is toward her princess duties. Also maybe he will not liked her reckless behavior he seems to be someone thoughtful. an other point in additional materiel we learn that Hans is willing to sold his soul and moral to have his father proud of him one of his motivation to become king. maybe he will not liked Also merida behavior to her mother ?. so i put her there. 

10-Pocahontas 9-Moana

i think he will be neutral , i dont think he will hate anything about them but he would not really relate to them. they both have a very different life that him, so yeah maybe some love with the ocean with moana ? since Hans like to go at the dock and he lived in isles ? i think he will just dont connect with pocahontas spiritual side , spirituality has never be something in his family. 

8- Tiana 7- Belle 6-Mulan

With tiana , i think he would like her personality , how determined she is and be envious of the relationship she had with her father but at the same time just find it cute because him he never got the chance to have a good relationship with his father. i put her there because in the book “ A Frozen Heart” hans’s kindest brothers lars is an historian who talk a lot about history almost all the family find her passion annoying and dont stay until the end when he read something. Hans find it cute as long as Lars dont talk too much about it. So i think this possible Hans would find tiana passion for cooking who is the whole point of her life since little she is a passionate ,  a little too much. 

With belle i think he could relate to be consider an outcast in his environment and also in A frozen heart Hans before his plan to go in arendelle used to daydream a lot.  So maybe he could relate to that also..the head in the clound ! other than that maybe he will find her  judgmental ?and dont like it ? 

With Mulan i dont know what he would dislike in her ? I can see him liking her and her sense of duty. Mulan want do to things right for her family Hans kind of also. So maybe he would how she value family.

The main reasons i put them here is because i really think they are princess that would make him incredibly sad and depressed because of their loving relationship with their dad who is at the center of their life ( i feel more than with pochaontas and moana) something he tried to have all his life and since Hans is someone bitter he would prefer others princess.

6-Rapunzel  

i put rapunzel there and higher that the others not because there is already a ship name for them😄 but  because in the movie we did saw Hans smiling at Anna with tenderness and this is confirm in A Frozen Heart and in others additional stuff that Hans did have a crush of anna the reasons why it mainly didn't worked was because Hans was literally obsess by his dream and willing to do anything for it. So that means that Hans actually liked personality similar to Anna personality ? ( in the movie his plan was to marry her not kill her) so since i think Rapunzel has a sort of similar personality ? i think he will like Rapunzel  ? I can see him also relate to her because he knows what does it felt to have little subtle criticism that devalue him just the way Gothel talk to rapunzel.  the problem that i can see with rapunzel is  he will find her sometimes in her actions a bit annoying ? he is someone cold , and physical contact are not his thing so i can see him not liking How clingy and too much optimistic  she can be.

4-Jasmine 

I cheat a bit there because i count jasmine animated and live action jasmine in one and the same. that can seems weird because i talk about Hans thinking merida action silly toward marriage ? and just like her Jasmine also rebel against arranged marriage. The reasons i put her there is that i can see him relate to her the fact of feeling trap in her castle Hans view it as a prison. I can see Hans to be honest relate to Jasmine speechless song. in the live action jasmine wants to be sultan she wants to have a political strong role in her kingdom. she had been shut all her life , quiet and wants people to stop underestimated her. all of this i can see Hans recognize himself with his desire to be king he tell how during all his life he had live in silence quiet but now he just want his family to stop underestimated him and prove them , show them that he can be a good king. So i can see him connect with her on that aspect. i can really see him sing speechless. I dont think he would hate anything about her.

 3- Aurora 

even if Aurora is a big romantic she had a sense of duties that i think Hans would like.  they both are classic sophisticated and skill in dance. I really can see him liking her personality i tried to think about what he would not liked about her and i found nothing personally. maybe he could connect with her on being melodromatic 🤣🤣

2-Ariel 

first lets say that Hans would felt with Ariel an one instant connection just like with Anna XD

ginger just like him and is the youngest of too much sibling of the same gender as them.

I can see him also connect With ariel on their father because if triton loved Ariel he seems to share with similarities with the king of the southern isles to be pretty tyranical. Also they both rebel against their father rules , Ariel with the humans and Hans by not wanted to acted like his brothers and contradict his view on social darwinism but on the contrary of Ariel Hans finally during the movie end up accepting his father moral for the sake of having him pround.

I  can see him liking her adventurous side of her personality just like with Anna and rapunzel i can see him finding her adorable. I think ariel will be like rapunzel the kind of princess that would warm his heart finally making him realize that maybe there are not just cold and mean poeple in the world who will abuse you. Also Ariel dont seems to be too much optimistic and clingy so i think he would like her personality better and one thing that i can see he would like with Ariel is how open she is with the humans she dont judge them and tell her father that He is wrong about the human. Hans family has always be extremely critical about him , mind closed and judmental so having soemone who dont judge people will feel refreshing to him?

its funny how the little mermaid and "A Frozen heart" begin kind of the same with way less abusive triton.

one big events is throwing ( sebastian musical , Hans ‘s mother birthday) when suddenly the both little last one of the family are missing and coming late provocating the anger of both king.

1- Cinderella 

couldn't not put cinderella first ! because i think he is the one Hans would definitely relate the most and maybe even makes him dream and give him hope to one day get out of his situation.

They both are bullied and boss around by their sibling who are just big spoild brat with  the benediction of their respective parents who is actually the one causing all of that. ( lady tremaine and king of the southern isles) anastasia and drizella along with Hans brothers also be kind of abuse by their respective parents.

They both suffer from deep emotional , mental , i beleive also physical in both case. child abuse with severe child neglect. even if Hans is a Prince living in Royal Castle and was not reduce into servitude like cinderella his father deifnitly had an explotive side like tremaine since he exploit Hans during 3 whole years without any guilt or shame.

i think Hans and Cinderella both belong to the same spectrum and each on are at the extremity.  Hans has become bitter willing to do the worst thing buying everyhting his dad told him about him that he is worthless ans just...a piss of trash and acceptng to sold his moral. Cinderella stayed true to herself , remember : have courage and be kind and is responding to the abuse by extreme kindness and hope.

So i think Hans would just have a  lot of respect for her because she was able to do something he was not able to do before. So i see Hans connect a lot with her admire what she had done and liking her personality also !

Dont come any closer" but doesn't actually say anything just flashes some phycic paper to make people leave them alone. Bassically just sim being hella food aggressive, 10 taking the pickles off for him, getting him the the kids toys, etc. And if you really want too I think a food coma afterwards would be sweet.

I can't comment on the actual work for some reason, so here's my thoughts and comments:

I love when people bring up/ incorporate the fact that the Master went from being DEAD, was resurrected for war so he became a child out of fear, grew up afterwards as a child, a normal decent life as Yana, and then turned into Simm. I actually have something similar in my drafts where 14 starts seeing the word "bad" and "wolf" everywhere, not together but JUST conveniently enough to become anxious and parinoid until he meets Ruby and Ruby says "Oh well you're not so much of a big bad wolf are you?" After mel tells her that he's on edge, so be careful. And 14 just grabs her and is like,"WHO TOLD YOU THAT?! WHERE!? WHERE IS SHE!?" and 15 is like "AYE WOAH! EASY- Easy. She doesn't know... Ruby never say that shit again." And rubys like "... is he a sleeper agent or something?" And 15 says "Well.... It's complicated.."
