He’s kinda like wtf😐 He’s genuinely so confused. He’s seen you take down three villains double your size all at once, and you’re afraid of bugs?

Truth be told, he doesn’t really get it, but he’ll help you combat it all the same.

You can’t step out of the door without him checking if you’re wearing repellant and carrying your spare with you.

Similarly, since they were purchased, your air fresheners have never known a day that they were completely empty.

Katsuki was quite thorough in his research surrounding bug-repelling essential oils- which he restocks the air fresheners with and wears himself. It’s a safer alternative than standard alcohol-based sprays considering his quirk.

Plus, he always smells like peppermint or lavender, so you can’t complain.

If you do happen to have a creepy insect land on you, Katsuki will do everything in his power to subtly turn your attention to something else.

Assuming you still haven’t taken note of the situation, your saviour will eye the thing like he wants to kill it’s entire family for pulling such a stunt, before employing his expert skills and strategically brushing the bug off of you.

Real talk, Eijiro is almost as scared of bugs as you are. He can’t remember when it started or where his fear came from, but he’s not exactly proud of that part of himself.

It’s not very manly in his eyes. Although your fear is helping the red head overcome his own.

Where he would normally run in terror at the sight of a spider or similar spawn of the devil, he now has to plant his feet, ensuring he’s strong and courageous for you.

What kind of a man would he be if he didn’t protect you from harm after all?

Eijiro considers it extra insentive when you kiss his cheek, a reward for his bravery in the face of danger. Though he still breaths an enormous sigh of relief once the area is clear of all crawling or flying things.

With the two of you supporting each other, you can overcome most bug-related challenges easily enough.

But you both secretly still squirm when you even hear someone mention insects or other bug life.

Honestly? He laughs when you first tell him about your fear. But it’s not because he’s making fun of you, he’s just surprised.

He thinks it’s totally adorable actually, and he loves that you turn to him to protect you from all the nasty critters.

He doesn’t always feel like the most heroic person, despite his profession. But if he can help you with your fear, he might as well be All-Might himself.

Denki wears insect repellant whenever he’s around you so that the bugs definitely won’t come near you, even via him.

Although, he accidentally sprayed the repellant in his mouth one time and you thought you were going to have to call poison control.

After coughing for a few moments, with you panicking/ laughing at him, he was okay.

Then he wouldn’t stop rambling on about how companies should make flavoured bug sprays just in case people do ingest them?!🤨

In day to day life, you were unstoppable, but the electric blond was just overjoyed to be your hero, if only for a few minutes.

As much as he tries though, Denki has met his match in a few winged foes.

You only had to express your hatred and fear for creepy crawlers once to Hanta. The two of you never really spoke about it much beyond that, unless you bought it up.

At first you were worried by this, thinking that he thought less of you for your fear somehow.

But the truth was just the opposite.

He just accepted it in the blink of an eye without ever really thinking about it.

Why dwell on it? It’s who you are, and he loves you, and that means doing everything he can to help you along your journey, wherever you want to take it.

So his tape is basically fly paper right? You’d better believe that if there are bugs around, this man is acting out all of his web-shooting fantasies.

Any confirmed sightings near you, and that critter is suddenly whipped away before the little thing even knows what hit it.

Often you’d see tape flying before you had even realised there was a bug nearby.

He’s certainly efficient. It helps that he has a sixth sense for when you’re in danger, in any capacity. This apparently extended to the insect world too.

Mina acts like she’s a one-man protection squad.

She, nor you, especially wanted to harm the bugs, you just don’t want them anywhere near you. It’s like you can feel your skin crawling as they touch you, or even look at you. There’s just too many eyes there to be natural.

Mina puts on this ridiculous act of standing in front of you while you walk down the street to be ‘bug security.’

This mostly just involves her wearing some sunglasses and pretending to be your bodyguard, although sometimes you think she’s a little too dedicated to the job.

God forbid her and Denki get together with you around, you’d have no room to breathe in their canopy-like formation.

If by some miracle, a bug does evade the pink-haired girl and get anywhere near you, this woman will full-on sprint from the other side of the room, or the city quite frankly, to protect you.

Yeah, she’s a good one. She doesn’t once question your fear or call you silly names because of it either. She simply accepts it as her responsibility to stand between you and anything remotely bug-like for the rest of her life.

it's less of a headcanon and more of a divinely correct vibe check. but like am i wrong...???? although I do see it more as they're the same flavour of ND with different presentations, like Connor is hyperfocus ADHD, and Macklin is inattentive (this comes from someone with mixed presentation ADHD¹, they also tried to diagnose me with austim but my legs were too long i make eye contact BUT!!! 93rd% "indicating that Cassie has many behavioural characteristics similar to youth diagnosed with ASD." raaaaa 💪💪💪 93% is an A!! i ace even the tests i fail!!!) Plus his rigidity with his diet, is bonkers for someone that young (and it's been going on since he was like 14-15)

Like especially with the way that Connor's constant practicing, after practice until the zamboni kicks him off, and then on off days and optional skates hiding his gear to make him take days off?? that is pretty classic hyperfocus ADHD. And especially with the way he blames the teams loses on himself, like please sir seeing you in the mirror is not good for my health!!

And with Macklin, people often mischaracterize inattentive ADHD with not being motivated or good at routine and while yes those two things are a normal part of human life, and more-so with ADHD, he has shown many times how deeply he cares about hockey........ but I think (and also remember i am projecting) his father being THAT hands on with him and his brothers training (even now which yuck, you have your own job get your grubby paws off of your kid's job) has made him unable to self propel, and get himself into that routine? (AND AGAIN I AM PROJECTING) like something Macklin has said a few times is how the shift to a pro-hockey schedule has been hard, and yes it is an adjustment, but he has been essentially living away from his parents for YEARS, two years boarding at Shattuckk, one year (presumably) billeting in Chicago while playing in the USHL, and one year in college at BU, and I think the real shift is that... daddy is planning his workouts again, full time not just summers (also, the travaling doesn't help) AND THAT (i am projecting) is HELL to someone who built a routine, and any hope of getting back into one was dashed when he went of IR for his hip after one game. the boy needs CONSISTENCY!!!!! I was rewatching Fantasy high, and realized that Gorgug has asked for hot chocolate everytime Gilear is sent out for Coffee so now here’s the bad kids coffee order

Kristen: Cortado (we know this already 😔)

Fabian: The most complicated order every single godamn time and it’s always different each time. The baristas have started writing his name wrong on purpose they hate him.

“A venti nonfat, no whip, 9 shot, 1 pump mocha drink with 4 shakes of cinnamon, and a caramel drizzle at the bottom. I also want it hot, like as hot at you can get it.”

Riz: Classic black coffee with some sugar and milk, 1) detective vibes, 2) keeps him up. Also Riz relies on coffee so much it is a borderline addiction.

Fig: Something really sweet, like a “Cinnamon Caramel Cream Cold Brew” or smth, Fig doesn’t really drink coffee but she knows exactly what she wants.

Gorgug: Gorgug thinks all coffee is bitter it makes his mouth feel weird and doesn’t like the smell. Hot chocolate is the only thing he’ll order.

Adaine: Also not a coffee drinker, more tea drinker. When she does drink coffee it’s something really light, like a cafetiere.

(I’m a barista Fabian’s order is something that’s actually something I’ve had to make)

Kristen orders Cortados mostly for the in-joke at this point, but she also strikes me as someone who would enjoy a mocha or even those seasonal flavoured coffees when the mood strikes.

Fabian is a menace, his coffee orders are a nightmare, but somehow they always taste amazing. If he's pressed for time or not in a mood to fuck with the barristas he just gets something like an oat-milk latte with caramel syrup. Its especially fun to do when he comes up to the counter, the barista recognises him and a look of dread passes over their face, and then they're just confused by the super simple order. Will usually order the same drink as he's getting for Riz if they're out together, does not take the goblins size into account and adjust the size of the order to suit. It's 2 of exactly the same drink, large or extra large.

Riz's simple coffee orders are mostly because black coffee is usually the cheapest thing on the menu. He'll usually order for himself because most of his friends are on a crusade to stop him exploding his own heart with caffeine overconsumption (Adaine will get him tea, kristen will get him small size only half-strength coffees, Fig will get him a drink that isnt even coffee or caffinated like a milkshake and Gorgug will get him decaf). Fabian is the only one who's allowed to purchase him coffee, but the half-elf spoils the fuck out of him by getting him the extra-large fancy flavoured coffees that have more sugar in them than you should consume in a week and enough caffeine that Riz is vibrating and seeing into the next dimension afterwards. The coffee's Fabian buys him are also disgustingly expensive and cost the same as about 12 of Riz's usual order combined.

Fig gets herself iced coffees with flavoured syrups in them. They're almost more milkshake than anything else, with a little bit of coffee for the caffeine kick. If she has a hot coffee it usually has about five teaspoons of sugar in it with milk to mask the bitterness.

Gorgug likes hot chocolates and vanilla chai lattes. He tries not to have much caffeine because it raises his heart rate too much and makes him feel like he'll go into a rage if not careful.

Adaine love her teas but will spring for a dirty chai latte with vanilla if she's really tired. Sometimes she'll join Fig in having an iced-coffee with extra ice-cream if the weather is really hot.

Work was rough, nothing else to it- simply tiresome and agonising work.

You and the twins had just returned home from a two-week-long stakeout in Ireland, and to say you were exhausted would be an understatement. For the whole way back, all you thought about was your bed- how you wanted nothing more than to snuggle under the fresh sheets, but as much as you craved that, there was still paperwork to finish. 

As soon as you and Tan made it through the front door, you made a beeline for the shower, immediately undressing and stepping in, literally washing away the grime from your time away.

Once washed and dried, you walk back into your room and pick out some comfy clothes for the night- deciding on an oversized t-shirt and a pair of fluffy socks. You shove your feet in your slippers and make your way downstairs, laptop and case files under your arm with an old mug clutched in your hand. 

You place your work stuff on the dining table and head to the kitchen, collecting a couple of drinks -water for hydration and tea for flavour- before strolling back to the table to begin even more work. 

You weren't sure if your brain could handle much more, and as much as you tried to keep going, you couldn't help but notice a sharp pain behind your eye. 

"You're gonna give yourself a headache," Tangerine softly speaks from the doorframe, pj bottoms hanging low as wet, clean curls framed his face. "I think you should call it a night. It's late."

"No— no, I'm fine. Haven't got much left anyway," you dismiss your boyfriend, a faux smile on your face. "Shouldn't take long."

"Nah, love. That's enough. You're knackered," he says sweetly, standing behind you as he rubs your tense shoulders. "We should go to bed." He offers, trailing a comforting hand up your neck, fingers grazing your scalp.

"It's okay, really. I just—"

"No," he cuts you off, kissing a soft speck behind your ear. "It can wait 'til morning, love," he saves your work and closes the screen. "Come on, darlin’." He smiles, extending a hand for you to take.

You reluctantly do as asked, placing your hand in his larger one, allowing him to lead you to the sofa. He settles down first, laying on his side, head propped up on his fist, before nodding for you to lay in front. Again, you do as instructed -far too tense to protest- and lay down next to him, your chest to his as you drape a leg over his thigh, snuggling closer.

"You can't keep overworking yourself, love. It ain't healthy," he softly scolds, craning his neck to find your adverting eyes. "Okay? You need love and rest," he adds, brows furrowing as if to emphasise his point. 

A gentle, genuine smile spreads as you nod, looking up at him in awe. His features mirror yours, sweetly looking down at you as he thumbs over the apples of your cheek. 

"Promise you'll cut back," he notices you hesitate and then narrows his eyes as if to intimidate you playfully. "Promise?" He adds and kisses the tip of your nose for encouragement.

"Promise," you reply, your tone somewhat dubious.

"That's good enough for now," he grins, flattening a soft blanket over you both. "Now roll over. I wanna watch Miranda."

i just found out my dad really loves this particular flavour of ice cream and it’s bloody expensive but now i’d behave like a typical brown dad and hoard the entire household with things liked by him (just ordered 3 tubs of it) cus he’s the same lmfaooo he sees me eyeing shit i like and wham the entire house has it 😭 i also feel that this unsaid way of showing affection is the way fugaku loved his children too. like don’t get me wrong my dad is the reason my confidence is so high cus he’s like “oh my god you are such a princess!” whenever he sees me just existing but yk?! in the uchiha household we got none of that. i just see fugaku hoarding the house with dangos for itachi, and when he comes back from the academy there’s a soft smile on his face. he makes sure to enjoy the said dangos in front of his father at the dinner table. itachi doesn’t say thanks, fugaku doesn’t need a thanks. but the subtle ways of showing affection aren’t amiss.

i think we can see it in the way adult sasuke also shows affection towards sarada. he watches what she likes and just… *proceeds to overdo it* lmfaoo!! 😭 similarly, i see itachi behaving like that with his s/o and his children. itachi would be a little less stunted when it comes to openly expressing love but he still portrays it moreso through his actions.

like i see dad itachi watching his daughter do some painting & suddenly there is a canvas stand, and some paint, and some crayons, some colour pencils & an entire painting corner. she blinked, she knows dad saw her paint & just grins, clicking a picture of it & probably sending itachi on the phone like.

😔 see, peter's not exactly like that - in fact, he wants to be largely hands-off when it comes to wade's reformation but wade kind of - in his head, still makes those parallels to nate. it's why civil war was such a huge breech of trust for wade ��� that peter didn't "trust" wade to make the right decision all by himself.

it tanked wade's trust in himself - his own sense of pride and self-determinism, to have peter kind of - police him in that way.

wade's so apprehensive about this because he knows he's perpetually aiming to please. at the expense of his own authentic self. and it's a curse. wade hasn't really found a sense of self because he's always changing to be what his lover wants of him.

the collar was symbolic for a very, very specific thing. and it's not a positive thing. wade's just a dog (bow wow) - his owner throws a bone, he'll fetch it.

i wanted him to have overcome it - which is why i got rid of the choker again after civil war was over - but - y'know, i guess he hasn't overcome it. it's still there. just manifested in a different form. and no matter how both nate and peter want wade to be honest and authentic - wade's certain that's not a good idea. that, or wade honestly - with his shifting brain terrain, doesn't entirely trust himself enough to know himself.

i think the unfortunate thing with wade is not only that he's unpredictable to everyone else - he's unpredictable to himself, too.

he doesn't put a lot of faith into himself, when it comes to restraint and impulse control. he's so, so uncertain, all the time. he never believes he's ready. never believes he's worthy.

he's constantly afraid of relapse, and of repeating the cycle, over and over. and i think the reason why wade's unable to evolve is maybe to do with the fact that he's not stopped to think about who he wants to be – he's so concerned with what other people want him to be.

i find it so funny that it's become a focal point to wade's character at the moment, because it was something the original draft of civil war explored before the uncle ben angle - wade was dragging peter for filth over him being too concerned over what other people think of him to embrace his own truth.

wade - he just wants to be whatever will be wanted. whatever's in demand. whatever the preferred flavour of the week is. whatever's hot right now. whatever will get him sympathy, get him attention, get him approval, get him love. in fact, the entire deadpool persona was founded because he admired spider-man and wanted to be admired in the same way he admires spider-man.

it's a curse, and he's painfully aware of it.

so he'll put on an act and put on a mask and twist the truth to keep everyone interested. but he alienates people that way too. and for peter parker, who just craves some authenticity from wade - peter parker, who fell in love with the modest wade in swim trunks who put away the mask and lay down his weapons and laid his heart bare on the sandy shores of the bahamas...

for peter parker, it's kind of infuriating. that after all this time, wade still doesn't understand that peter loves wade without all the performances and pretence. wade doesn't need to keep pretending.

peter and wade are both guilty of masking - pretending to be something else to be more socially accepted or more appealing or more (or in peter's case, less) attention-grabbing. but where they differ is that when peter gets close to someone, he has this compulsive desire to unmask and be seen. particularly if he feels safe to do so.

whereas wade still lives in fear of it - every day. sometimes, no matter how close he gets to someone.

5 Hours later.

You knocked at Jungwon’s door, your hair was frizzy and you makeup was flaking. You had just finished work and your boss allowed you to leave early since there weren’t many customers.

"I’m coming!"

You heard your boyfriend yell from the other side of the door.

He opened the door and barely even let you step in that he had already jumped in your arms. He was much taller than you but he always acted like a little kid (and you loved it).

"You finished early?" He asked, his hand resting on your left cheek caressing it.

"Yeah, the store was dead so my boss let me go home early." You explained.

He saw how tired you were and so he suddenly picked you up and kissed your lips softly before taking you to the living room. He had basically built a pillow fort. Your favorite blanket was laying there ready to cover the both of you for your long movie night.

"Oh I got something else for you. Close your eyes!" He said, his dimples showing slightly.

You did as he said and soon you felt something in your hands.

"Try and guess what it is."

You pretended to be confused for a few seconds when in reality you knew it was sushi from your favorite sushi shop because you recognized the packaging.

You opened your eyes and even tho you knew what to expect, your mouth fell open and your eyes widen. It was all your favorite sushi together.

"Niki told me to get these types, he said they were the best. Is it okay?" He asked shyly.

"You got all of my favorite ones!!" You said hugging him tightly.

"Well good, shall we start the movie?" He asked pointing at the pillow fort he built.

Without replying, you jumped in and dragged him with you. You quickly opened your sushi platter and started eating like you haven’t eaten in days.

"Can I have one?" Jungwon asked with boba eyes. He knew you couldn’t say no to him, so you gave him a piece. He danced cutely at the flavour and leaned over to lay his head on your shoulder.

AFTER THE FIRST MOVIE

Your eyes were starting to get heavy already. You were munching on some Doritos when you told your boyfriend you were too tired to watch a second movie.

"Awn is my girl too sleepy?" He asked pouting.

You rubbed your eyes and nodded. You didn’t realize but you had accidentally rub off your mascara and eyeliner in the process.

" ugh, I still have makeup on. And I didn’t brush my teeth." You said yawning.

Jungwon picked you up in his arms and took you to his bathroom. You had your own skincare products in a mini form at Jungwon’s house. He sat you down on the counter and easily tied your hair up in a ponytail.

"I can wash your face for you." He said confidently.

"Please Wonnie. I’m too tired to do it myself." You replied.

He grabbed your makeup remover and some cotton pads, poured some of the product on the soft material and then gently removed your eye makeup, making sure to get every little particle of makeup. He then grabbed some more makeup remover and removed the little remaining of your lip makeup. It got rubbed off when you were eating. He was so gentle, it felt like you were getting a mini massage session from him.

"Okay I’m gonna wash the rest of your face now." He narrated.

He grabbed your facial cleanser, poured two pumps of it on his hand (he knew the correct measurement), added a tiny bit of water and washed your face effortlessly. He loves washing your face since he got to admire every single one of your features for longer than usual. He rubbed over your fluffy eyebrows, rubbed your cute chubby cheeks and your perfect nose.

"are you asleep baby?" He asked.

"Almost~" you replied softly.

"You’re adorable." He said giving you a kiss on the top of your head.

After rinsing your facial cleanser, he applied the rest of your serums and creams before grabbing your toothbrush.

"Open up!" He said.

You did as he said and he started to brush your teeth, just like your mom use to do when you were still a kid.

"Brushing your canines, your front teeth, your back teeth, give me a big smile!" He kept narrating in a cute tone. "You’re so beautiful." He added.

You felt yourself blush as you were gradually falling asleep on the cold bathroom counter.

"Okay, we’re done." He said picking you back up like a sloth. "Do you need something to drink before we go to bed?" He asked.

"Water" you replied in a whisper.

He poured you a big glass of water and brought it with him in the room.

He set the glass down on his night stand before letting you fall softly on the mattress.

"I’m gonna go brush my teeth too okay? I’ll be back in a second." He said, kissing your forehead softly.

You understood but couldn’t respond due to exhaustion. You quickly fell asleep as soon as your boyfriend left the room. He came back after a few minutes, saw you fast asleep in the bed and quietly got under the covers with you. He placed you on his chest since you loved listening to his heartbeat and soon, you were both asleep in each other’s arms.

THE NEXT MORNING

"Good morning sleeping beauty." You heard your boyfriend say in a cheerful voice. He was on his phone bombarding his fans with messages on weeverse.

"What time is it?" You asked.

"It’s 11:06 Am"

"When did I go to sleep?" You asked confused.

"Around 10 Pm, why?" Jungwon replied.

"Man I slept for 13 hours?!" You replied confused.

"Don’t feel bad, you needed it." Your boyfriend replied softly giving you a small kiss.

"Do you want breakfast sleepy head?" Jungwon asked smiling.

"Waffles?" You simply said.

"Anything you want honey." He said making his way to the kitchen to prepare your yummy breakfast.

my name is a game reference! i picked it in April-May last year when i just started playing hsr and we got introduced to the aeon/god of abundance Yaoshi, i really liked their design and the idea that even good blessings can be harmful if taken to extreme. which is why i am their follower!

1. every jjk fic by voxofthevoid @voxofthevoid, because they'd take up the entire list otherwise. i can't chose one favourite tho the way it follows you home, the stories i never told and isolation neophyte, too afraid to taste your conscience are close contenders for the first place

i adore the way he writes Gojo, that arrogant selfish bastard, and Yuuji, my precious baby can do no wrong 🥰, their interactions with each other and people around them (gege could never). and the smut is always top tier, i am still not over one particular line and i don't think i ever will be

2. still water by movequickly. it's ita/fushi, a canon divergent au from 212 chapter of manga and i just really love Megumi's characterization, the introspection on his relationship with others, something we lack in manga, and Sukuna specifically. also there is minor suku/ita and i am obsessed with the fucked up flavour of it!! like yes yes, this is exactly the way i want them

3. putredine by EvilPeaches. hints of ita/fushi, but mostly suku/ita. also another perfect depiction of the fucked up relationship Sukuna and Yuuji have. Yuuji wins but loses so much in the process you are left to wonder if the victory was worth it. in the end skita merge becoming one person (very fucked)

warning: check tags for both fics, especially the third one (people were talking in the comments about how dark it was but i just got horny 😔)

4. i'll be anything you ask of me by Anonymous. mostly hiita, with some goyuu. short and sweet, Yuuji-centric and encourages him to ask for what he wants, which is something i always approve of. comfort fic for me

5. this side of paradise by omontz. goyuu 236 au, Satoru's death starts a time loop with Yuuji forced to live through each in Satoru's pov. i rarely see time loop fics not from the pov of the person experiencing it and this fic does it perfectly. each loop is perfect and it made me cry, oh poor Yuuji he suffered for so long

6. "But to you it's just words" by WriterOfTheMaximum (@the-hurdy-gurdy-man , hope i didn't mistag lmao), a historical goyuu au where they walk a lot . Gojo characterization is very important to me and he is so perfectly imperfect here, just the way he is in the manga. Yuuji is a precious boy ofc, love this fic very much and i am going to reread it soon

7. Convergence by NoGravity, a canon divergent goyuu au in which Yuuji with the prison realm end up in the past (pre hidden inventory arc). Yuuji tries to unseal Satoru and get back to the future while also getting closer with teen Satoru. teen Satoru's jealousy of his older self was super cute. and while the results of their actions in the past didn't fix their future, it created an alternate universe. in the end both goyuu of the og universe and the alternate one are happy together

8. Lipstick by Lumieerie. one of my fave goyuuge fics, just very lovely and super delicious smut, i read it multiple times

9. Misplaced calls by J_c_nth. a loor at Gojo's time in the prison realm during which he receives calls from Yuuji from a different universe. some just met their Satoru z some haven't, some know him well and some really well. those calls make him confront his own feelings for Yuuji and realise how much he loves him

10. Touch me, touch you by rizna. senpai/kohai au goyuu being stupid and stupidly in love and making other people suffer for it

Happy @verladyweek Day 4! I've been working a story featuring two of the prompts for Day 4, Confession and "Except for your eyes, no blade can control me, no sharpened knife."

First I'd like to say another big thank you for the inspiration - the brain worms are so wriggly about this.

Second, this week has been so fun I don't want to ruin the vibes, so no one has to reblog this post.

Third, this story has become something larger and more personal to me than I originally intended. Some might say, extremely self-indulgent writing-as-therapy. I'm just saying "oops". It deals with some sensitive topics that I'm not sure I'll be confident in sharing widely. Not until I can do them justice at least. Either way, it won't be finished this week. 😔

But!

I'd still like to contribute by sharing a wip snippet or two! The snippet under the cut gives a flavour for the rest of the story. (I promise there are more upbeat moments amongst the angst I could share, but didnt want to mislead on the overall vibe). Let me know in the tags/asks/DMs.

Dante's voice was hoarse as he whispered, “I don’t know what to do.”

Okay, this did sound like it was shaping up to be some kind of crisis, and Lady did pride herself on her ability to salvage the best possible outcome from bad circumstances. Being thrust into world-threatening situations on a semi-regular basis and life-threatening situations practically every week did wonders to sharpen your disaster management skills. “Whatever it is, we’ll take care of it, that’s what we always do, right?” She gulped the rest of her coffee in one long draw, and dropped the cup from chest height into the waste paper basket. She retook her seat. “So what’s going on?”

“Nothing, and that’s the problem. Have you seen much of Vergil recently?”

She shakes her head, thinking. He had been missing in action recently, though she hadn’t really thought too much about it. He was weirdly quiet at the best of times, unless he was arguing with Dante or Nero, even then he was just as likely to storm out as he was to fight back. She couldn’t remember the last time he’d raised his voice, even when fighting. They’d had a few brief conversations after he and Dante returned from hell; about coffee, about the weather, about nothing significant. Just normal, everyday stuff. She didn’t really care for boundaries, but she didn’t particularly want to push his and cause the group any problems, so when he ignored her she ignored him right back. The implications of what Dante might be suggesting started to sink in. “Can’t say that I have. You think he’s up to something?”

A single, dry laugh. “Nah.”

She trusted his judgement, since no one knew Vergil better, and Dante had agreed to keep an eye on him. “Then what’s the problem?”

“He never does anything.”

She snorts, trying to keep the tone light despite her growing sense of dread. “Like drinking and going to strip-joints? Maybe he just has a better taste in hobbies than you.”

“No hobbies. You don’t get it. He doesn’t do anything, doesn’t go anywhere. He hasn’t left the shop in three weeks.”

She lowers her voice, realising he must be upstairs while they’re talking about him and not wanting to provoke any awkwardness should he hear. “Maybe he’s just doing his thing, reading or something. He’s always quiet.”

“Lady, he hasn’t left his room in nearly a week… not even to use the bathroom.”

Now, that shocked her. “So what, he’s just rotting in his own filth? That’s not like him.”

“Nah, nothing like that. He’s not eating or drinking either, so there’s no mess. I’ve been in there, he’s just sat there on the floor like some kind of fucking zombie.”

Lady felt her face pale. She stayed quiet and still for a moment, letting the weight of Dante’s comment settle between them, as she racked her brains to try and work out how she could help them.

“Do you think he’s still sick?... Like V was?”

He sniffed, and bowed his head, his hair hiding his face. “Nah, I dunno, he looks normal. Can’t see any marks or anything.”

“Did something happen the last time he was down here?”

She could almost smell the guilt. “I don’t even know when that was. I don’t think so.”

“Okay.” She absentmindedly kicked her feet, slowly tapping her heel against the side of the desk. “And you’ve tried talking to him?” Silence, and a nod. “Well, maybe I’ll head up there and give it a try?” She stood and pulled her shorts down, making herself more presentable. She didn’t know why, but she felt slightly nervous. Dante she knew well, she had a pretty good handle on his moods and how he might react to her poking and prodding. Vergil… well, Vergil was a different animal.

For the 2 ships thing: Bruce/Talia or Tygra/Cheetara?

Well, I see I've played my hand if my weaknesses can be so easily identified. Rip my heart out while you're at it, why don'tcha?

The thing is Brutalia and Tychee both represent two very different flavours that I love in shipping dynamics.

I love angst. I LOVE it. I thrive on it. I'm also a sucker for star-crossed lovers – my favourite movie was and is Pocahontas; this was inevitable. And Brutalia is a healthy mix of both. They're just so fucking tragic. Because they genuinely love each other but they can NEVER be together. They can snatch little moments of love and happiness here and there, but they can never bask in it, never live in it. That's partly because of the status quo (even though Talia's has changed fucking three times, which is like a comics-faux pas, smh), partly because of the cyclical nature of comics and the fickleness and shittyness of writers, but also just partly because of their in-universe situations. They love each other. They can't be together. Too bad, so sad. It's fucking delicious.

Brutalia is my favourite comic book couple and one of my favourite couples of all time (possibly even second?). But Tychee all but changed my brain chemistry as an eleven year old. It was actually the reason I even watched ThunderCats in the first place. They featured ninth (way too high) on Lewtoons' (miss him 😔) Top 10 Cartoon Couples video and honestly tween me just thought they looked really aesthetically pleasing together. Aesthetically pleasing enough that I checked out ThunderCats 2011 on a whim. Which became my new favourite show. Until I watched the original, at which point, it got bumped down to my second favourite show. Over a decade later, ThunderCats is still my favourite franchise. Thanks, Chad. Anyway, point is: I came into the show already rooting for them and I also came into the show already knowing how the love triangle would play out, so I probably wasn't as blindsided as some other people were. But boy, did they exceed my expectations.

Another thing I'm a sucker for is couples whose relationships are based on loyalty and friendship, rather than just chemistry and Tygra and Cheetara just THRIVE in that space. I know I said I love angst, but I can appreciate some fluff when it's got some substance to it. And Tygra and Cheetara just genuinely bring out the best in each other and clearly make each other happy and I just think that's fucking beautiful. I know a lot of people dislike the „I have to stick with him” scene in New Alliances and I'll admit I have some misgivings about it myself, but I'd be lying if I said a considerable part of me didn't love it as well. And don't even get me started on the cave scene: „You're fast enough to get out of here. Go!” „You know I'd never leave you behind!” It’s the LOYALTY. FUCK. They are just. a healthy, functional, compatible, supportive, loyal pair and what more can you honestly ask for? Also, I love meet-cutes and didn't Tychee just have a meet-cute for the ages.

As for their relationship in the original show and the comic books, I love that just as much. Maybe even slightly more, since the friendship aspect of their relationship is way more pronounced and friends-to-lovers is another trope I love. Of course they were never confirmed in the show, but. My dudes. The vibes were there. One of my favourite moments is when a villain's got Cheetara trapped and calls her helpless and Tygra saves her and she calmly replies with „But not friendless. Thanks, Tygra.” Shoutout to the reboot for continuing the tradition of Tygra and Cheetara constantly saving each other to the point of ridiculousness. And yeah, the comics didn't do a lot for them, but I love WilyCat and WilyCub and I'm happy they all got to be a happy little family :).

Tldr; Brutalia has my whole heart. But Tychee has my heart and my soul and has already rotted away most of my brain. They're my favourite couple of all time, in anything, ever. Thanks for your question. Sorry about your braincells if you read all that ^.^’

since you're caught up on the Locked Tomb, I thought I'd send some asks your way because I'm kind of curious:

1) I've gathered Cam and Pal are your favorite characters, but do you any particular favourite moments/quotes of them? Or just why you love them as characters in general?

3) any dark horse characters that grew on you over the series or that you'd want to see more of?

EEEE I SURE DID!! Okay, warning for anyone that is not caught up with it or plans to read it, that there are going to be spoilers below. You have been warned!!

Yes, they are my favourites.😔 Friends specifically told me to read the books because they are "very much my flavour" and they were right. Which is very rude of them, tbqh :/// As for the why, it's a lot of things, I think. From a character design perspective, I've always been a sucker for scholarly types like Pal, and you can never go wrong with short hair and double swords like Cam. I like that they have a decent amount of contrast and are quite different from each other in some ways while also being soooo alike in others. From a thematic perspective, all the bits and parallels around devotion, identity, and responsibility. How just by knowing someone, we add 'indelibly to their weight'. How this is explored both as a positive and negative thing. How just by knowing someone else - dare I say, to tame or be tamed by another 👀- can change us irreversibly. How burdening those we care about is something we have to come to terms with, and that being burdened can in and of itself be an act of care. How these themes are exacerbated and mixed with plurality and merging. The ever important question of 'where do you end and i begin'? For moments and quotes, a lot of my favourite things about them are just how they interact with one another (or with other characters). The sort of relationship where words often aren't necessary. How so much of their connection is conveyed in actions. "Tell Cam... never mind, she knows what to do." and the "what to do" is her collecting the fragments of his skull off the floor?? that she glues back together with her own hands?? then travelled millions or billions of light years to meet with the one person that can pull his soul back into it??? Her carrying him, despite the risk and harm it poses to herself, because he doesn't have a vessel anymore??? Pal asking Nona to "give this to Cam" and it's a kiss to the back of her hand???? Sick!! Twisted!! I demand financial compensation for damages!!!! Cam had every right to go sit in the bathtub about that!!! What the hell man!!! But I would be remiss not to mention the conversations they have across the voice recorder when they can't speak face to face, the co-fronting/synergy thing that happens when the protect Nona at the beach, and of course: "Life is too short and love is too long."

I'll admit I was spoiled a bit to some things going in so that skews this answer a bit. There were certainly some things I predicted incorrectly but then was like "OF COURSE THAT'S HOW IT HAPPENED, HOW COULD I HAVE ASSUMED DIFFERENTLY". I was not expecting that many people to die in the first book tbh. What happened to the Fourth and Fifth houses hit particularly hard. Was not expecting Gideon to find a decapitated head in Harrow's closet. I think the most surprises I had were in the second book though. Kept asking myself what the heck was going on. The narrator reveal was such an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Like, I kind of figured that was the case but I wasn't expecting that to be how we found out. Camilla showing up somehow out of nowhere?? The full extent of Harrow and Gideon's origins had me at a loss for words. Also the epilogue leading into Nona had me soooooo confused.

Yes. I absolutely adored Augustine. Big fan of his whole vibe; i miss him. Also really liked Magnus, Abigail, and Ortus in the second book. Especially them stepping up and being the Responsible Adults™ Harrow never really had, but always deserved. Also Polyamory Win with both whatever Pyrrha and Dulcie had respectively going on with Cam and Pal aha. Very big fan of Dulcinea in general. From her appearance in htn to popping up in The Unwanted Guest. I don't know how we could see more of her, but I would not be complaining if we did. Muir is really good at characterization tho, i don't know that there have really been any characters I've actively disliked. 🤔

biology wise I have Seph always as intersex in some regard and genderwise it depends on how much thought he's spared himself--overall I think he's nonbinary in the most overarching definition and if given the chance to exist outside shinra he would gravitate towards femininity and eventually land on only feminine pronouns for herself! as it stands canonically i think she transcends gender in the corrupted ascenion to godhood seph has, but overall has left the aspect of his gender unassessed

angealseph/sephgeal-- i personally find angeal unbearable. he really annoys the fuck out of me im sorry angeal fans but he's not my man... I think that his hardheadedness/stubbornness in his idea of honour would grate on sephiroth, but the reason sephiroth likes him is because of his care otherwise. It's just not something I can see sephiroth pursuing romantically though Lol so in that vein I also don't really like AGS or any angeal ot3 😔

A random headcanon:

niche weirdest hc i have is the eyeball nipple ALSO applies to seph, he has that eyeball nipple guys.

Less insane hc is that he is a sugar fiend, desserts are his favourite food and his drinks could all be classified as syrup. also despite not being the biggest fan of citrus he really really likes yuzu! I tend to flit between him being vegetarian and not as well, mostly because he would be tripping over himself to try new things because he's excited over the prospects of new sensory stimulas that isnt, say, Pain in a new flavour

General Opinion over said character:

WAAAAUUUGH! i love this blorbo. I wish he had a chance to live and not die everything he was always going to be. It was really self fufilling and in the end he died as what Hojo wanted of him--never breaking free, dying under the abuse, becoming the abuse that made him. Fucking kills me! I want a world where he breaks the cycle, where he becomes the future. That's a reason I love the transformative aspect of fandom here, I couldn't love ff7 the way I do without all the AU's, there is just far too much here to mess with, to reshape.

Totally tangentially, but I don't agree with people speaking of him being irredeemable or deserving of punishment, these are fundamentally reductive ideas and don't even line with the politics of ff7 itself LOL Atonement and redemption does not mean everyone suddenly forgives and forgets, but it does mean everyone is afforded another chance. Everyone is deserving of that. Even people who've committed heinous acts, because foundationally they're still people. It all depends on whether or not they double down on their damage and believe in it till the end, if they're apathetic and even jubilant at their violence. If he came back uncaring, apathetic, and fundamentally unchanged from the blind bitter hate filled attitude he had before, then yes he is unredeemable because he is refusing it. But were he to acknowledge the wrongs and try to right them, try to move on and apologize then yes he could work for atonement. Sorry for the random anti-punishment rant LOL I've just been thinking abt this for a while, check out philosophytubes video on capital punishment (its on youtube!) for further challenges on this idea :D

Well, we all know why I’m really here. Petrelli Family Drama. What can I say I just love a completely fucked up messy family full of secrets and toxic codependent relationships, especially if they’re like, fuckin rich Catholic superpowered mobsters?? The flavour. The layers. As an avowed Nathan Petrelli apologist, everything about that incredibly repressed man and his 92 layers of self loathing and moral confusion is catnip to me, lol. The best bits of s3 are the Arthur backstory and how he literally tried to murder Nathan in cold blood for attempting to stand up to him. And then mother of the year (read: terrible person and terrible mother but crazily enmeshed with Nathan anyway) Angela tried and nearly succeeded in murdering HIM in return!! She’s so metal!! Lmao these bitches are crazy! Tim King across the board!!

And ofc how that feeds into Nathan and Peter’s relationship, how they cling to each other in this insane way bc of growing up in all *gestures* THAT. the implications of that treehouse deleted scene mr Kring when I get you. We’re connected. You give me Nathan you give him back to me body and soul. Sicko meme me: YES!! YESS!!! this was made in a lab to consume my brain from age 12 until. Now. (I’m 30 in a week lmao. Oh my god.)

Goes without saying that s1 is also genuinely a great season of television like it’s well constructed and written and built up and ends in an insane emotionally devastating way. not many notes tbh. Six months ago is great flashback episodes my beloved flashforward episodes my beloathed.

But uhh surprisingly back to my mostly beloathed s3, let me shout out ‘into asylum’ as one of the best episodes in the entire show?? We rarely get Claire+Nathan relationship stuff but I fucking love everything they do with them in that episode. Also shout out to Claire for being a great character and a fucking badass girl I love you babygirl
