In March of 2013 I went to Monster Mania in Cherry Hill. And there was a guy cosplaying as Freddy Krueger. It wasn't any run of the mill cosplay, either, it was terrifying.

Anyway this little kid absolutely loved Freddy and kept saying "Hi" to him. To which Freddy would say "Hi" and wave back, in a pretty good Robert Englund impression.Freddy points to the kid's shoes and goes "Don't trip, big man". Kid's shoelaces are untied. So as the dad bends down to tie them, the kid starts asking Freddy, excited "Did you see my new shoes?" Freddy goes "I did and they're great".

It was so stinking cute.

There’s something weird about the new spring lock mascot costume. I swear I hear breathing noises from it. It seems to wonder around too, even after it was seemingly shut down… It seems to like the ball pit room.
