Have you ever been on a laptop inside a vehicle? Plenty of times, but only just as long as my motion sickness would let me. I do it so I can get some work in, but not for very long.

While on the road, do you play any road games? We might have done so before but I don't remember what exactly we played. These days I like asking random, hypothetical questions – mostly directed to my dad so he doesn't feel sleepy on the road, but everyone's still invited to join in. Kind of like surveys lol so it's stuff like what would their last meal be, which actor they'd want to play them in a movie, etc.

Do you have a button up shirt? I have a couple.

Has there been a word you thought you were spelling correctly but then you find out that it isn’t? What was the word? So when I was very young and still learning English, all I had as practice was my dad's stack of cookbooks. The thing at the time was, I kept hearing "sorduh" "sordof" "sardof" in the American shows I'd watch and was desperate to find out what they were saying because I could make out everything else they were saying but.

Cut back to my dad's cookbooks; I was reading the opening essays and the recipes as I usually did...then I found it. Or at least I think I did. The word I came across was "sourdough" – and as a kid it made so much sense. It had the "sort" part, then I knew you say 'rough' with an f so I applied the same logic to dough, which became my "of." So for a while I thought sort of was spelled as sourdough, haha.

Do you have a garden in your backyard/front yard? It's not a garden but it's just a wide open space that we had paved. My dad uses it to play basketball; we'll also bring the dogs there to run around.

What color is your water tower in your city/town? It's either blue or white. I can't remember very well.

Are you scared of semi-trucks? Especially when you’re driving next to one? Tbh no not really. It's my mom who gets super tense lol.

Not how they came to be, but I'm constantly impressed at survey makers' creativity. Like how can there be thousands of these and yet the questions remain so random yet interesting? Do you like eating shrimp? It's not my favorite seafood and will 100% skip it if there are other options (not because I don't like how it tastes, but because it's the most ubiquitous seafood and at this point I'm a little tired of the taste haha), but yeah, sure. It's the best with butter and garlic.

Ever heard of Rochester, NY? Yes, but I wouldn't be able to tell you one thing about it.

When was the last time you went bowling?: Bowling...around six years ago? I think I had a bowling date with my ex. Haven't gone on one since.

Do you like cats?: Sure. We recently rescued a stray kitten that found its way to our garage. It's his 5th day with us and has been spoiled to hell and back so far.

Do you use aerosol hairspray? It’s bad for the environment, you know…: I don't use hairspray.

What was the last food you choked on?: I don't usually choke on food.

Who was the last person you disappointed?: Myself, maybe?

When was the last time you sweated really bad?: Two Saturdays ago in Da Nang. That heat was like no other...I found myself wishing I was back in the Philippines, and the weather as it is here is already terrible haha. There was barely anyone walking outside too, so I know it wasn't just us who felt how hot it was.

Do you write it, alot or a lot?: A lot, because that's how it's written.

Does it annoy you when people are always smiling and happy all the time?: Excessive cheeriness can be an off-putting kind of weird more than anything, but I don't mind it. It can be nice to see, especially if it's actually genuine.

What was the last rule you broke?: I can't remember tbh. I don't like doing that, haha.

Have you ever hazed someone or been hazed?: No and never to both.

What would you say if someone called you at 3 am to have a casual convo?: Depends on who it is, aka I will ignore everyone except immediate family, Angela, Hans, or Reena.

Have you ever made a SERIOUS typo, and couldnt go back and change it?: Not that I can remember. One thing I'm proud of, at least, is that in my 4 years in PR I've never had any press release sent out to media that contained a typo.

What was the last thing you regretted eating?: Dakgalbi kimbap. The restaurant it came from is my favorite for Korean food, but that kimbap has no reason to be as spicy as it was – and I can generally handle spice and love the Korean kind of spicy.

If you could go back in time, where would you go and why?: Any day with Kimi, so I can be with him again and hear his barks.

Are you proud of the person you’ve become?: I've definitely overcome a lot more than I ever expected to have to overcome in life, and I don't shy away from giving myself credit.

Have you ever tried weed?: Yes. In like vape format, whatever that's called. I mixed it with alcohol so it wasn't a very nice experience.

How important is music to you?: Not very much. It's great when I encounter lyrics that exactly match my current situation and emotions, but I mostly turn to music now for the production value/instrumentals or as background noise.

Do you need a boyfriend/girlfriend to be happy?: Not at all.

Do you care what other people think of you?: For like a second or two, then I try not to make it my problem.

What’s your biggest fear?: Death of loved ones.

When was the last time you received a compliment?: It's boringly about work, but I was just told how I deserve the role I'm currently in, and that if I ever feel insecure or think of the possibility of being resented by my teammates who've had the same longevity as I've had, I just need to remember that I was picked to be the one to move up for good reason and that it wasn't a decision taken lightly. It's more advice than anything else, really, but I'll also take it as a compliment.

Do you have any regrets?: Of course. Nothing major that involves any life-ruining stuff, though.

How has your week been?: The last 7 days were a bit more tiring than usual since I was F2F for three consecutive days, and the commute for all those days were absolute pains in the ass. 2.5 hours from Rockwell to my village :(

My company did give us Friday to be our mental health break day, though, so I'm very grateful to get another 3-day weekend.

Have you ever thrown up becaue you were crying too much?: Once or twice, maybe?

How much effort did you put into your last relationship?: I could've taken it down a notch by like 300%, that's all I'll say.

Last thing to really piss you off?: That old lady who cut me off at the restroom yesterday.

I've been catcalled and whistled at and gawked at by men before, and the shittiest thing about these situations is that you think you'll always be brave and headstrong about it, then when they actually happen in real life you end up freezing up and only processing what just happened like 5 minutes later. And then regret the fact that you didn't fight back. And then get the lump in your throat from feeling violated or disrespected. So one of the top dream scenarios in my head is to actually get violent with the next man who does anything like this again to me.

Do you have impulse control?: Sure.

Do you have a reason to smile right now?: Many.

Are you gonna get married soon? Nope.

Would you ever get a significant other’s name tattooed on yourself? No. Initials would be cute, I guess, or maybe a cute inside reference like a plate of pizza or whatever; but not a full name.

Do you get shy around the guy/girl you like?: I don't like anyone.

What’s it like where you’re from?: I'll just describe Metro Manila since it's more known, I live next door to it anyway, and because my own city is mostly uneventful and residential.

Metro Manila can be great only if you're in the middle or upper class. Nightlife is alive and spread out in many different parts (BGC, Poblacion, Makati, Ortigas...list goes on), and if you're into culture and stuff there's a good mix of museums, musicals and concerts, and concept restaurants to visit any time, any day. We're fluent in English, so if you're a foreigner you will never have a problem communicating; our pronunciation is also quite clear compared to our Asian counterparts so comprehension won't be an issue for you.

On the contrary, life is brutal and unforgivingly so if you're from the working class. Many children still don't get to go to school, or, if they do, get subpar quality of education which can affect their chances of success because we place such a big and pressuring fucking deal on school; and half of Filipinos consider themselves food-insecure. If you've seen documentaries here and there you might be familiar with 'pagpag' and that's definitely a reality for the poorest of the poor.

Gap between rich and poor is glaring, and it's an all too common occurrence to have super exclusive villages with swanky houses that have swimming pools and their own massive golf course and country club to be situated quite literally next to informal settlers. A mutual problem we all share is the commute – trains can get crowded and aren't the most maintained; and even if you have your own car you need to mentally prepare yourself for a daily total commute time of anywhere between 2-5 hours. Salaries are also shit, which is why you'll find many Filipinos even from the middle class living with their families until well into their 20s and 30s.

Personality-wise, Filipinos especially those working in the business districts generally live a very fast-paced life, super workaholics and very serious – but across all classes and backgrounds, we still know how to have our fun :) The stereotype that we're hospitable is also very true. Social media plays a big role in our lives – to a fault. We know what's trending and stuff so we're very in-touch in that respect, but social media has also influenced national elections by giving birth to disinformation, troll farms, etc. We're known for our passionate fandoms, and a good, good portion of Filipinos are into at least one K – K-drama, K-pop, K-fashion, etc.

The Philippines in general remains, and I think will always remain, to have a tightly traditional culture. Fortunately if you're in any one of the more high-end spots like BGC the people are more modern-thinking so feel free to express yourself however you'd like.

What else...weather varies across hot, hotter, and hottest except from January-February when it can be much more forgiving. I think that's all I can think of right now. You've hit my culture-passionate bone with this q, so thanks!

top ten favorite bands/musicians tag game!! This is gonna be a fun one!! I will include as much genres as possible...

Metallica - This band has been a part of me for as long as I could remember. It is a huge part of my childhood, and we even have a family tradition involving this band. Their music (and Guitar Hero) shaped my music taste into what it is today. And it was through this band I met a handful of wonderful friends whom I trust, and had fond memories with. Music-wise, they're very Mid™ imo, but "... And Justice For All" is a culturally significant banger and I will die on that hill. Also I have the biggest crush on Jason Newsted, so I consider that a bias too.

Varien - We all love a diverse Queen! She's mostly electronic music, and she's certainly not limited to a certain genre. Love her sound, listening to her albums feels like opening a box of chocolates, you never know what flavor you're gonna get, but guaranteed it's a banger. I put her high up the list because, I've been listening to her music throughout my college life when I needed music to comfort me. And when she came out, it was also about the time I have found out that I am trans and nonbinary. From that point on, I began to be more comfortable with myself, and eventually made me what I am today - proud and significantly more confident than before.

Shadow Of Intent - Of all my favorite deathcore bands, I chose this one because it's the first proper deathcore band I liked. Hearing "Reclaimer" for the first time was such an experience for me, that it decided that my favorite genre should be deathcore from now on. Before that, I was listening to....

BROJOB - THE Gayest Band On Earth ™

Periphery - The band with my most looped/played music, like ever. They're a prog metal band, more specifically Djent is not a genre. Their music is so full of texture and changing emotions, it's really hard to get sick of their music on loop for weeks on end. "Absolomb", according to Spotify, I looped for 200+ times during 2021, and I have also began to play it again! So I expect "Absolomb" to make a comeback in my Spotify numbers, as well as their new song "Dying Star". Spencer Sotelo is a phenomenal vocalist, super underrated and super talented.

Cattle Decapitation - My favorite death metal band of all time, more specifically their three albums "Monolith Of Inhumanity", "The Anthropocene Extinction" and " Death Atlas". These three albums has a mixed reaction - first, it's a glaring deviation from their traditional death metal sound, that it doesn't really count as death metal albums if it weren't for the band. Second, it's such a unique sound, amplified by Travis Ryan's "new" vocal technique. Nonetheless, these albums are amazing to me.

The Cranberries - There's something so beautiful in their songs I can't properly describe. I think it's mostly Dolores O'Riordan's vocal style? But that combined with the rest of the instruments sounds beautiful to me.

And here's a list of my favorite vocalists...

Dickie Allen - Deathcore vocalist, and he's the reason why I got into extreme vocals, although, I'll never learn extreme metal vocals anyway. His sound is unique and distinct, and his range is amazing. I just think he's so cool tbh.

Pop stars Sia and Adele, amazing women, amazing vocalists. I try to sing their songs once in a while, though I'm bad at it.

n/a: tbh i just had a terrible brain rot about Mucho and I in a school setting during Valentine's day. This is pure crack/fluff and is not canon in the Luto lore, is just a sort of AU. And ofc it's not proof read word vomit, good luck if you are reading this

'Did you plan to give chocolate to someone this year?'

His question was sudden and even more surprising coming from someone like him, who didn't seem to care a lot about that kind of event. Or at least that's what I thought.

He is a lonely man, who scares half, if not the whole school. A lot of rumors are going around about him, depicting him as a bloody man... But that's not what I see when I look at him. For me, he is just a lonely man, a kind one with a good soul.

'Yes I will, I did the groceries yesterday to do them.'

I won't lie, I was also pretty much scared of him at first because he is tall and muscular. But it didn't take me long to realize he was closer to a teddy bear than a bloody monster. So we started to eat together during lunch. And day after day we grew closer and closer, until one day I had to face the terrible evidence that I did have more than platonic feelings toward him.

'Didn't you tell me that you were a terrible cook?'

I almost choked on my food as I heard his words.

'Well... I am, so we will see how it turns. If tomorrow I'm not here and that you hear about a house reduced to ashes, that's probably because it turned horribly wrong.'

I could see a smile making its way on his face. I love those moments that we share together. He is not a big talker, but a very good listener. He remembers everything I tell him, from how I am stuck in this game to the latest rumor going around the school. No one makes me feel as listened to and important as he does.

'So can I know who you will try to poison then?'

Faking how offended I was by his words, I brought my hand to my chest in a theatrical way.

'No, I can't tell you, dear, otherwise you will be an accomplice in this murder case'

If only he knew I would give them to him... But I can't say a word about it, what would even be the purpose in that? I just hope that they will be edible and that he won't be sick. And that's if he accepts them. What if he doesn't? Maybe he only sees me as a friend after all. Maybe I will be screwing up everything tomorrow? But at the same time, I do want to give them to him...

That's with an uncomfortable feeling of doubt that I continued this day until I could go home and face the fact that I would spend the evening cooking for a man that probably doesn't even return my feelings.

The next morning, I thought I would die from anxiety. Well, maybe not die, but my stomach does be sending me red signals, telling me that at any slight inconvenience, my breakfast would get out from where it came from. My mom helped me to make the chocolate by giving me numerous pieces of advice and to be honest, they turned out pretty good. The problem was now to find the man I was supposed to give them to and also the courage needed to do so.

The only time of the day when I see Mucho is noon, so it will be my only chance.

I swear that my legs never have been shakier than during those steps I did to join him where we would usually eat during the warm days. It was hidden behind the school, probably the calmest place here too, so we both enjoyed it a lot.

As expected he was already here, peacefully eating his lunch box. He greeted me with a nod as I sat down next to him.

'Nervous? I'm used to seeing you with dark circles, but those are by far the worst you ever had.'

I love how he always has the right word to reassure me... For sure 'anxious' was probably written all over my face.

'Barely.'

Hearing the irony in my voice he moved his eyes from his lunch box to me.

'See the bright side of things, your house didn't burn last night.'

It took me a few seconds to understand that he was referring to what I said yesterday, which made me smile a bit.

In the end, this lunch was like every other we had. But I couldn't bring myself to give him my chocolate and now he was getting up to leave...

'W-wait a minute, I have something for you!'

For once, I was talking faster than I was thinking, but maybe it was for the better?

'I actually made the chocolates for you...'

I couldn't bring myself to look at him as he took the small package from my hands.

'Oh... That puts me in a delicate situation...'

I knew it. I knew that he only liked me as a friend. Oh god, I hate myself so much for catching feelings and hoping it would work out.

'That means I will have to make you chocolates for white day...'

What?

'W-well that's only if you return my feelings-'

'I do.'

Did I hear that right?

I looked at him, not registering what was happening anymore, as he opened the small package and took one of the chocolate to taste it.

'For someone who kept telling me that they can't cook, they are delicious... Thank you.'

With those words, he kissed my forehead before leaving for his next class, leaving me alone, while my brain tried desperately to process all that just happened.

Hey, I'm sorry if this takes up your inbox but I just really wanted to talk to someone about this:

A few hours ago I saw a post with a ton of notes on it basically making fun of the fact that Helluva was trending (and for being a "shit" show, you know the deal) and it's been bothering me ever since. Normally I'm really vocal about the games/shows/stuff I'm in but I hate the fact that I can't gush about HB because literally everyone that follows me will make fun of me for it. I couldn't even reblog something positive about it without losing a huge majority of my followers and it really upsets me. I hate the fact that I have to hide that I love something.

I mean, I can understand that people hate Hazbin since most everyone has only been exposed to the pilot (and it wasn't that great tbh) but we have three episodes of HB out and no one will give it a chance because it has Viv's name on it. But it's actually so good!!! The characters are getting backgrounds and stories and all the episodes are really good so far but nobody fucking cares. They just make fun of it without knowing how good it's getting. Don't get me wrong, people are allowed to dislike or even hate it but I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm sick of hiding that I'm a fan and always having what I love made fun of and trashed on and I'm sick of it!!!!!!!

Anyway this is getting long, sorry I just really wanted to get this out cause it's really been bothering me :(

i getcha. unfortunately people are not going to care if the show is actually good or not when they've already made up their mind about it from the start.

as far as keeping it hidden goes, there's a reason i still haven't given out my main on here lol. but yeah i understand what you mean.

if it makes you feel any better though, you might not lose THAT huge a number of followers. the people who despise helluva and hazbin are an extremely vocal minority. i've seen people who follow this blog/interact with my posts who NEVER post/reblog it themselves and if i had to guess, i'd imagine they're in a similar boat to you

people who are judgemental assholes are not going to stop being judgmental assholes, unfortunately. you just have to decide whether you want to keep followers or talk about the show and then accept the results of whatever choice you make. remember though that ultimately, this is the internet, and this problem isn't going to have consequences ten years from now or whatever.

ult. group questions! (i am sorry this is SO late)

thank you @cha-lan for tagging me!

i’ll tag @heartshxkr and @woozisnoots (to support the meteor garden watching group!) and anyone else who would like to do this!

directions: answer the following questions based on your ult group(s).

I actually have 5 ult groups, but for this, i’ll stick with my main ones: bts and seventeen!

1) who as your first bias?

bts: surprisingly to me, my first bias was namjoon, and he was also my first ever kpop bias. I'm pretty sure he became my bias because he was the only member I recognized for the first two weeks before I learned the other member's names

svt: if I am remembering correctly, it was either jihoon or minghao. though, the first member to catch my eye was jun in the don't wanna cry music video.

2) who is your bias now?

bts: seokjin! he created my bias type (for bgs); vocalists, and members of hyung lines. I just love how funny he is and how he isn't afraid to do anything (like cut his hair with kitchen scissors when the company refuses to let him cut his hair)

svt: ...there are five of them. in order, soonyoung, jun, wonwoo, jihoon and seungcheol. basically, the 96 line and the leader line. though, they do fight over the top spot a lot, especially jun and soonyoung. though after silent boarding gate, I think jun might be #1

3) what is the first ever mv you watched by them?

bts: it was dope! since it was in october of 2017, i'm really confused how it wasn't dna. but my first three were dope, save me and spring day!

svt: don't wanna cry! also in october of 2017. I think the first three were don't wanna cry, boom boom and adore u? I don't really remember the 2nd and 3rd ones lol

4) what's your favorite mv?

bts: hands down, spring day. not only is it my favorite era and song by them, but it was also the time of grape joon and that must never be forgotten. though, stay gold and hearbeat are close seconds.

svt: ...do I have to pick? I guess i'll say; change up (because i'm a leader line stan), fallin' flower (because it's freaking beautiful), oh my! (because that's my favorite era) and don't wanna cry (because it's the first mv I saw).

5) if you could listen to one of their songs for the rest of your life, which would it be?

bts: maybe...heartbeat? I just really like the song and the mv is amazing! if I couldn't pick heartbeat, I think i'd pick fly to my room

svt: either moonwalker, call call call, rocket or no f.u.n. I am very bad at picking one song lol. but I wouldn't mind listening to any of these for the rest of my life

6) who would you want to see them collab with?

bts: I actually have the same answers for both groups, but i'll say one for each. so the first option is TROYE SIVAN. I ~love~ louder than bombs, and to have them actually create a song together would be so freaking amazing I would cry.

svt: the second option is 5 Seconds of Summer. I think it would be really cool to see either bts or svt work with 5sos and make a rock/pop punk genre song, since that is pretty different compared to what both groups make.

7) what mv concept do you want to see them do?

bts: I really want to see them do something similar to maniac by conan grey or universe by exo? i'm a sucker for those types of songs and seeing bts do that would be amazing.

svt: i'm thinking something along the lines of view by shinee / 4 walls by f(x). I really like those styles and I think svt could pull it off.

8) have you ever had a dream with any of the members in it?

bts: I know for a fact I had a dream with yoongi in it once, like a year ago, but I can't remember what happened in it for the life of me

svt: after watching silent boarding gate the day it was released I had a dream similar to that mv, but I was obvs the girl in the mv and I didn't leave jun cause I could never do that to him

9) if you could spend the day with one member, who would it be, and what would you do?

bts: i would absolutely love to spend a day with seokjin. not only because he is my bias, but because he just seems so fun and energetic and I want to hang out with someone who can make me laugh and act chaotic.

svt: ...i have an idea for each of my biases so because I can't pick here they all are; with seungcheol, i'd want to go on a midnight drive to nowehere, kinda like my drabble, all my love. with jun, all I could think about is a cat cafe date...just...ugh I would love that. with soonyoung, I would love to go to karaoke or an arcade. he just seems so fun to hang out with, so we’d need to so somewhere that we can be chaotic. with wonu, I would love to go to one of those HUGE libraries and just kind of explore and read. lastly, with jihoon, I would love for him to teach me how to produce music. I’ve always had an interest in that and having someone like jihoon teach me, I would cry.

10) which member do you think you would get on best with?

bts: either yoongi or jungkook, tbh. with yoongi, we’re both pretty quiet, but we can also be loud and we have similar personalities. with jungkook, we both like games and have a lot of interests and we’d definitely be able to have a long discussion about the things we love.

svt: most likely either chan or seungkwan. chan and I are both used to being the youngest when with friends and we’re sick of it lmao. with seungkwan, I feel like we’d playfully argue a lot? and I do that with my friends anyway so I think we’d get a long like we’ve been friends forever.

11) which member would you think you would argue with?

bts: most likely taehyung, I think we’d end up arging over whether we are arguing or having a discussion. we’re just kinda like that I guess lol.

svt: hands down, jeonghan. I would fight him in a heartbeat whether there was a purpose or not or whether it was verbally or physically. there is just something about him and his slytherin energy (let’s ignore the fact that i am also a slytherin).

12) if you had to choose one member to scroll through your tumblr, who would it be?

bts: probably jimin or yoongi. jimin would just laugh at everything and yoongi would just silently judge me.

svt: either vernon or jihoon. vernon would most likely say something along the lines of “you do you” and move on with his day, and jihoon would be similar to yoongi, but instead of silently judging me, he’d say everything he’s thinking out loud. rip.

i think that's the most i've learned about tea like.... ever! i've mostly had like these typical teas that people drink when they're sick. i remember having black tea once but it wasn't really my thing? i had darjeeling once when we were visiting friends, though i think it was a regionally blend? i really don't know much about tea but i will listen to your tea rambling anytime!! my least favorite characters are pretty much the same! some posts make me actually more sympathetic to su she but.... i still can't stand him. i feel like i'm beginning to dislike jiang cheng? not to the point of hating but I just find the other versions of him, that are not cql, unsympathetic and iffy in some things. i wouldn't necessarily add him to that list though. who are your favorite characters? an unpopular character that you like and one you dislike? a ship (or multiple) that you don't like? - ❄🐇

I love so many characters for all sorts of different reasons. Can i just hug them all? WWX, LWJ, LXC, JC, JYL, JZXuan, JL, LSZ, LJY, WN, WQ, NMJ, NHS, SL, XXC, XY, A-qing. seriously. i love so many of the characters. hahahaha.

ship i dislike!!! OOOOOH! So I don’t ship chengxian, xiyao, nmj/jgy, xuexiao. I find chengxian to be weird because wangxian is everything and they’re too much like brothers. they’re not actually brothers. it’s not actually incest. i just don’t see it.

xiyao and nmj/jgy suffer both from jgy being an atrocious human. fun to explore. not a happy ending. will not ship with it as end game.

xuexiao is the worst gaslighting and abuse that i can imagine. it’s so bad. nope nope nope. if i were to write a fic from xy’s perspective, i could see a xuexiao ship... but it would be highly unreliable narration and a lot of weird egomaniac sociopathic xue yang self delusional justification. and it wouldn’t end well. xuexiao, no matter how i see it, would never be my end game.

hm... black tea is interesting. i’d try it with milk and sugar first to get used to it... but i do have a college friend who said tea tastes like flavor being sucked out of her mouth... which is valid? i guess? in some senses tea does take on whatever it’s incubated with... so maybe there’s truth to that statement... hahaha.

Royal (2:26 PM): Sometimes I think about taking antidepressants again if only to numb the pain. And then I remember how it made me too numb and to everything, so then I think about drinking or doing edibles, but then it still sounds awful and could possibly amplify those feelings (as alcohol usually does make me feel more upset). And that’s sometimes why self-harm becomes a substitute, because it ether distracts from those feelings or even makes you feel like your receiving punishment for whatever you’re upset about. But I know self-harm turns into a loop of guilt and shame and worrying about worrying others.

Jem (2:27 PM): I haven't heard the same about edibles that I hear about alcohol

Or marijuana in general I suppose

Royal (2:28 PM): Weed scares me. Like I’m worried I’ll have a reaction because whenever people smoke or cook it around me, I get super sick feeling. I also know Kitty had a bad reaction to edibles, like gave her ultra anxiety and hallucinations or something like that.

Jem (2:29 PM): Ah, gotcha I myself am allergic so I can't say I've tried it myself either

Royal (2:29 PM): I think I might be allergic and I don’t wanna find out the hard way

When people smoke/cook it around me, I get nauseous and a headache

Jem (2:32 PM): Yeah, I used to have two roommates that both smoked weed in our tiny apartment I used to have near constant headache until I moved out the next year

Royal (2:33 PM): I wish I could just remove those negative feelings I have: anger, sadness, jealousy, dysphoria, etc Put them somewhere far away so I wouldn’t have to deal with them, and wouldn’t have to hurt others because of them

(I tend to use dysphoria for myself as an in general term, not just with gender dysphoria, btw)

Royal (8:09 PM): Random question, I’m curious your thoughts on this: do you think it’s insensitive to joke about getting with other people when you’re in a relationship, especially/at least in front of your partner (at least if the two of you haven’t established a non-monogamous relationship), and even more so if you know your partner is dealing with jealousy issues?

Jem (8:12 PM): I’d think so, yeah

It's definitely odd

Unless it's like, I donno, a celebrity or something

But even then, it'd make me wonder why someone would say that if they knew already their partner was having issues

Jem (8:14 PM): Yeah then even without the jealousy issues, unless that's some sort of pre-established shared humor, it's kinda weird

I agree with that too, it just feels really insensitive, at least if you’re monogamous

{Whilst I never told Jem what it was about, it has to do with something similar that had happened earlier today - though I am not technically in a monogamous relationship, so the above can’t fully apply to me. But to explain this better, I’ll have to jump back to something that happened in December 2020.

Capybara had told me about how there was this really attractive lecturer he met in the past whom if I remember correctly, spoke Greek, so his friend got him a Greek dictionary to help him try to impress her, but he never really ran into her again. I had made a comment that you know, guess it worked out for the better because then we would have never become a thing should he have actually succeeded in getting with her. And he made a joke that wasn’t the case or a joke that brushed off what I said as almost nothing. I knew he was joking, but it was kinda a really emotional time for everyone and I’m still even to this day working through my newfound romantic/sexual jealousy issues, so I took it kinda harsh at first and then eventually told him that same night how that kinda made me feel shitty.

Well, today, we were gaming with one of his friends (super great, hardworking, and nice lad) that we often play Sea of Thieves with and it turns out that was the same friend who got him the Greek dictionary, so it somehow got brought up in conversation…and just…they were joking that Capybara was Odysseus and this other woman was Odysseus’s wife and they’d find each other again one day. I can’t remember which character they assigned the friend but they were saying I could be one of the gods, and I’ll be honest, didn’t handle that situation the best, so I made a off hand comment of something like, “Guess I can be Athena or Aphrodite since they’re the jealous types, guess that works pretty well.” Don’t know if they picked up the hint. I don’t know if they were at all thinking about how this was something awkward for me, cuz I’m pretty sure the friend is aware that I’m dating Capy and is supposed to assume we’re monogamous as Capybara doesn’t really feel comfortable letting his friends or family know I have other partners. It just also happened to be a sore topic for me, cuz when Capy made that joke, even though I knew it was nothing more than a joke, it made me feel like nothing and replaceable, which I already see myself as.

Just to kinda let Capybara know that I’d prefer the topic to be dropped, I messaged him privately: “So I just remembered, it was you talking about that Greek dictionary thing to impress that girl and making a joke that like, meeting me wasn’t for the better cuz she’s still out there that kinda made me feel like shit even though it was a joke”

To which he responded with: “she's a lecturer my dude 😂 she's like in her 40's - don't worry”

And I replied with: “No I know, but it was more of the joke that followed that rubbed me wrong. At the time”

And he just sent these two emoji’s in response: 😧 😕

Immediately after our messages, as we had still been playing, he went dead silent and so I noticed this (not sure if the friend did at first) and I at first just tried to silently apologize in DM, cuz I hadn’t meant to upset him, but he still remained silent. So shortly after, I asked if we should call it quits even though it was early. I felt so guilty and I immediately sent him more apology messages and even an apology voice memo, but I assumed he turned his phone off by that point.

Once again, my jealousy got the best of me and I hurt the person I love most in the world and made a fun time involving friends go awkward. I was having a good early afternoon/late morning with him at first, and then I ruined it because I couldn’t keep my mouth shut and my jealousy under control. I’m such an asshole.}

Royal (8:22 PM): Off topic, but still on the issue of jealousy, I feel like when I have jealousy issues myself at the point I’m at, it’s like a double headed snake due to me being in a polyamorous relationship - one head are just the pre-established toxic/venomous things that come with jealousy and the other head is the guilt and shame of feeling I have no right to be jealous when I have two other partners myself thus making me feel hypocritical (and being ignorant of any potential jealousy from other partners)

It feels like those two snake heads could eat me alive with just a few bites each if I let them in

It’s such a viscous cycle and honestly, the basic head of jealousy is enough of a problem that turns my stomach, but the second head just makes me want to surrender to the earth

Emotions are hard

Royal (8:28 PM): Especially when they revolve around something or someone you already have such an emotional attachment with

And then those feelings, like feelings of jealousy, only end up making you hurt the ones you love

Making them feel guilty or annoyed or like you don’t trust them or something

Jem (8:31 PM): Tbh, as someone who generally struggles with a lot of jealousy type issues, I get that (not necessarily romantic jealousy even, but just there's undercurrents of it that are always there and present in every relationship)

I don't think it's something that can ever be fully dealt with and just I guess has to be accepted and worked around At least for me

Royal (8:33 PM): And it makes you wonder if you truly care for those if you’re so easily jealous of them, since they tell you that shouldn’t feel that way if you really love someone, that you should be able to love them blindly and trust them, and it’s not like I don’t trust, but I feel so easily discardable by those who I could never even fathom of turning my back on

Royal (8:34 PM): Honestly, I’ve even felt some jealousy toward you in the past - not romantically - but it was something I worked on

Jem (8:34 PM): What if I were to say same though haha

Royal (8:34 PM): You seemed to be doing so well with you VN and you picked up art so fast

Jem (8:35): Aah for me it's always revolving around

Royal (8:35 PM): But I told myself, “you just need to keep trying. Feeling negatively toward someone success is selfish and gets you nowhere. Improve yourself and you can also feel that success. He’s not succeeding to hurt you in anyway - you should be happy for him.”

Royal (8:36 PM): Yeah, I understand that too, especially growing up in a family of 6

That kinda happened the other day with Kitty (whom at this point my feelings are pretty platonic) - for over a week now I’ve been telling the girls about a game (For the King) I’ve been interested in playing with them, and the other day, Hummingbird went on a social distancing date with Crystal, so I asked Kitty if she’d like to play with me since it’d be just the two of us and she agreed. However, she had a headache, so we thought it’d be best if she napped first and if she felt better later on then we could play. When she woke up, Lapis hit her up for some gaming and Kitty decided to game with her instead and forgot she agreed to game with me...

Jem (8:41 PM): Ah, that kinda thing really sticks with me

Royal (8:41 PM): And so I’m just getting to a point where I feel like I should just stop asking them if they wanna game with me, because it’s not the first time something like this has happened (at least they don’t follow through, not a matter of them deciding to do something with someone else)

Like, I made the Murder Beans server so Capybara and Kitty (and Hummingbird if she ever decided to get Among Us) could game with my friends in the CSR Creations server, and that was back in fall...the girls never joined a game even when showing express interest and saying they would

Kitty also once went and bought Lapis like the whole Halo Master Chief Collection for Lapis cuz she was broke and wanted it, and the proceeded to play it with her and Hummingbird...and like...I also would have liked to have played Halo with them if given the opportunity, but I was never asked

Sheezus, don’t even get me started in my family and how invisible they made me feel

But yeah, I’m at a point with the girls that I don’t think it’s even worth bothering to ask anymore, at least about gaming

Hummingbird’s confusion and migraines are also coming back, so she has a legit medical excuse and I can’t really bother her about it

Jem (8:48 PM): I get you, yeah

All of those things would really bother me too They have in the past

I remember when I first joined UCSD, I started hanging out often with the girls that lived around me in the dorms And we all started watching Orphan Black together

And then I literally had no idea when they finished the show because after the first couple sessions they forgot to invite me

Royal (8:51 PM): Oof, yeah, that’d bother me too, or at least tell me how they felt about me in my mind

I don’t think with my jealousy, it’s a matter of not trusting my partner or friends or whomever, it’s just a matter of feeling such low self-worth that I feel easy to discard, and when I get brushed to the side or have someone joking along the lines as how dating me wasn’t for the better when someone else is out there, it furthers those feelings I have about myself, those feelings of self-worth and how I’m replaceable or not worth shit

Jem (8:54 PM): I get you I know mine stems from feeling forgettable

Royal (8:54 PM): I know I’m an annoying person, I know I can be a lot and emotionally draining, I know I can be hypersensitive - so I know it feels like it’d be better to be rid of that sort of force if you can find someone better who doesn’t make you feel the way I’d do

If you remove the fun hair, piercings, and tattoo, I’m actually quite a boring person

And I’m quite isolated. If you don’t include my partners, there’s only really two people who come to mind that I’d consider close friends that I can talk to: you and someone else (you’ve never met her)

I’m getting to a point where I have a hard time talking to the girls due to the guilt I feel about me more or less wanting to be platonic with them, and then Hummingbird is constantly having a medical crisis and I’d feel bad burdening her further

So really, I’m isolated down to two people, primarily you, + Capybara, and yeah, that’s my own fault

I feel easily exhausted by my other options at this point, where I feel like I can only take Candy in small doses (which feels really hypocritical of me) and my other VA friends or gaming friends, I don’t know if I’m close enough to have those kinds of conversations with, especially the VA friends since I tend to be their boss

For the most part, the other people I’d sometimes talk about these issues with are on servers that are primarily dead, so it feels awkward to hop back in only to bitch about my life

Besides, I hate seeming like I’m only spewing forth toxicity and negative emotions over and over again

Which I worry I do too much with you as is

1. why did you choose your url?

well, the slytherin part comes from my hogwarts house which I probably take a little bit too much pride in. as for snek, it's one of the nicer nicknames my friends gave me so i decided to keep it :) and the last part, 17 is my favourite number and xvii is 17 in roman numerals. put it all together and you get slytherinsnekxvii :)

nope! this was intended to be a sideblog but i ended up using it so much more than my main that this is my main now and the original no longer exists.

i have no concept of time! i've been lurking for years but i only started posting a few months ago, i think?

i had one very specific post that i wanted to make about harry potter and figured i'd probably be making more posts eventually, so i dedicated a blog to it.

no specific reason besides me thinking it was cute. i made a little avatar in picrew, gave it green hair because that's the colour i had it dyed at the time and there you go.

i used to talk about harry potter enough that people (mostly my siblings, lmao) got sick of me, so i ended up apologising for bugging them about it so often. it's kind of a play off that?

i'm actually not sure? it's more than likely this one post i made that says that any universe that has a snape that's half as bad as antis make him sound, then it's a universe where voldemort wins. that one has about 160/170 notes? if not, then it's probably one of my fics.
