Yandere RE8: TRP Part 4
Part 1 is here.
Part 2 is here.
Part 3 is here.
Part 5 is here.
Check out my MASTERLIST for more!
"Uhh... hello?"
You looked at the woman standing in the stairs. She was wearing a dark veil that matched the rest of her outfit- oh shit, that's a funeral outfit.
I really did pick a bad time to come here, didn't I? She's in mourning, she sees an intruder, and her day went from bad to worst. Yep, she's gonna kill me.
You took one look at the woman and then at all the possible exits: the doors- no, they'd be too heavy to move and what if they're locked? The window- but I'd have to jump out and just because it looks cool in movies to jump through glass, doesn't mean it'll work, Y/n.
So, the only option was to eliminate the threat. Or maybe... defuse it.
"This is your doll, right?" You asked, pointing at the doll, judging by the lace designs on both of their dresses. The woman didn't reply. "It looks like its been... used a lot. To be honest, she's very different than most dolls I've seen, definitely a lot more spookier." You nervously giggled, hoping she didn't mind. "But... she looks like she's been loved. A lot. Despite being broken from a lot of places, someone still took their time to fix her." You smiled sadly, remembering your own doll that Mia had ripped. "Wish I had someone like that. To sew up the wounds and fix them."You mumbled, not really sure if you were talking about your doll or yourself.
"Your doll, she's- she's very pretty. My sister would've liked her." You began. "Which is why I'm here. My family, we were in an accident- I know it was wrong of me to come here without permission, but I need to find my sister, Rose and my father, Ethan." You took a step closer. "They both of have blonde hair. Rose, my sister, she's just 6 months old. She was dressed in a baby pink onesie, bundled up in a blanket. My father, Ethan, he's about this tall and has big blue eyes. I think he was wearing a jacket, with blue denim jeans. H-have you seen them?" You asked, eyes full of hope and voice laced with eagerness.
Please, please let her have seen them. God, please.
Unsurprisingly, the woman didn't reply, but she did turn her head towards the left window. You didn't know whether she was telling you to get out of her house or signalling that they are out there, but you knew you had to leave.
Nodding, you slowly walked towards the window, your heart beating faster as you prayed that this wasn't some sort of trap, hoping she wouldn't attack you from behind because that would be like... really shitty.
But you left the house unharmed, and without looking back at the window because you didn't want to jinx it, you walked towards the forrest once again, thankful that the sun had finally came out.
Where are you guys?
You had been walking for a couple of hours now, the sun had been a bit warmer today, which was good since you hated the snow that surrounded you now. You looked at the map, tracing the path to your new destination. The Salvatore reservoir. It seemed like it would take you a day's journey to get there, and you sure as hell weren't seeing any lake in sight.
God, when will this nightmare end?
You decided to sit on a stone and take some much needed rest. Your feet ached from all the walking, and your calves were cramping. You rolled your head, popping it from the side, before taking off the rifle that had been weighing down, stretching out your arms. Digging through the little back pack you bought from Duke, you pulled out a thermos of coffee and twinkie. You don't know how or where he got it, but Duke had filled your bag with a couple of snacks; saying its for his loyal customer.
So, here you sat, in the middle of the snowy woods, eating a twinkie and drinking a lukewarm coffee. Both didn't taste good, but they're gonna keep you alive so, no complaining.
After drinking the coffee, you rested your head against a tree, recalling last nights events as you waited for the caffeine to kick in.
You tried to make sense of what happened when you got... locked in the basement. You thought you had forgotten about her, Angel. Guess not.
Wait- didn't that lady lock me in the basement? Maybe, she didn't look very hostile, her creepy doll looked scarier than she did.
You laughed at the irony. You always made fun of the horror movies where the family would become so attached to the most horrifying doll, and you'd scream at their stupidity, And yet here you were, falling for the cliche as you found comfort in that creepy doll.
Man, I'm really losing it here.
You sighed, closing your eyes as you tried to come up with the next plan. But the warm coffee had lulled you right to sleep, which was dangerous but you were too tired to care.
Just for a couple of minutes...
You woke up to the sound of growling and heavy steps. And as soon as you opened your eyes, you knew you had definitely slept for far longer than a few minutes. But that was not of concern at the moment. No, it was the source of the growling that had woken you up.
Just about 40 feet away from you were lycans. Plural. Not one, not two, but 5 lycans, and one of them was a really big one.
You held your breath as you watched them wander around; they hadn't spotted you yet, and if you stayed quiet, you hoped they would just go away.
Stilling yourself as much as you could, you watched them with wide eyes. One of them started to walk in your direction, it wasn't looking at you, which meant that it hadn't seen you, but he would if he kept on walking this way.
God, I know we haven't been on good terms, but like c'mon, you gotta give me a break. Please, I love you? Come on, you know this is not how I want to go.
You sent a silent prayer, and perhaps it worked, since the lycan suddenly turned the other way, joining its pack as they started walking deeper into the woods.
Slowly, you began to gather up your things, silently shoving them in your bag, one eye on the lycans and the other one making sure that you don't accidentally drop something that'd cause noise.
Fortunately, you didn't. You swung the bag over your shoulder, and took a step forward, careful not to step on any twigs.
Maybe God did love me. All that time in church-
THWACK!
You jumped back as a huge sheet of snow fell from the trees in front of you. You whipped your head towards the monsters and they all had stopped dead in their tracks. Slowly, one of them turned and if they hadn't heard the snow fall, they'd definitely heard the way your heart was about to burst out of your chest. Then, it growled.
Motherfucker.
You pulled out your gun just as the two of them began running your way. With a quick jump to the side, you dodged them and shot them two times each. Hearing your gun fire, the other two began running your way too, while the larger one stayed behind as it watched. This time, as you shot one of them, the other managed to kick you in the chest hard, throwing you against the rock. Luckily, you didn't hit your head, as you rolled and shot it dead.
Spitting out the blood, you looked back at the last lycan who had already started running your way. You began loading up your gun with trembling hands, but just as you aimed, the lycan took a giant leap and knocked the gun out of your hand.
Fuck.
The giant grabbed you by your neck, lifting you up high before throwing you across the ground. You wheezed, scrambling up to your feet as you began running away from it, its heavy steps following you. It roared angrily behind you, and that only made you ignore the burning pain in your chest as you ran faster.
But of course, God had decided to make you live a cliche horror movie, because you tripped over a fucking branch, making you fall on your stomach. You flipped over instantly, and saw your nightmare come true as the lycan jumped on you.
On pure reflex, you punched it square in the face, which you doubted hurt it more than it hurt you, if anything, the monster was momentarily perplexed, but that was enough for you to slip from under it.
But you were only able to take a few steps away when it suddenly grabbed you by your neck and lifted you up again, snarling as it began opening its mouth, revealing its razor-sharp teeth at you.
God, if you're hearing this, I'm converting to atheism because I did not need this today.
Looking at the horrifying lycan, you prayed one last time before you were eaten by it. Surprisingly, your life did not flash before your eyes, which you were kinda grateful for because you did not need to relive that before your death.
But that moment didn't came. No, what came were familiar moans of pain, and then the sound of a drill, followed by blood splattering on your face as the lycan was sliced vertically from the head to the toe by the aforementioned drill.
The lycan fell to the ground, revealing the pair of soldats that killed them and behind them a smirking Heisenberg, who rested against a tree, tipping his hat at you.
You were far too shocked to say anything, and after a few seconds, the man walked over to you, blocking the view of his monstrous creations just mutilating the lycans.
"So... that was a bit traumatising." He started, chuckling at your stunned face. "You okay, kid?"
What the fuck. What the fuck. What the fuck. What the fuck-
"Yeah." You took his hand, and he helped you up. You groaned at the pain, touching the tender side around the chest where the lycan had hit you. Yeah, you probably broke a rib.
Heisenberg helped you sit down on a tree stump. "Hmm, that bastard kicked you hard didn't it." Wait- "But that was a phenomenal punch you threw at it. Nearly made me burst out laughing."
"You were watching? Why the fuck didn't you come in before!"
He shrugged. "I just wanted to see if you could really handle yourself- which you were pretty good at, but then you lost your gun and it was kinda an unfair match from there on." He pulled out some pills from his coat. "i was just passing by when I saw those lycans moving away. Thats when I pushed the tree which made snow sheet fall and you know the rest from there on."
Your eyes went wide. "You did that on purpose? What the shit, Heisenberg-?! Fuck." You doubled over in pain, clutching your ribs, heaving.
"Shh, stay still, kid. Here, take these. They'll help with the pain." You eyed the bottle before popping two in your mouth. Hey, if he wanted me dead, he wouldn't have saved me from the lycan. "I just wanted to see if you were worth the trouble, and as it turns out, you are."
"You didn't have to almost kill me to see that. And now I've lost my gun. And I don't have any money to buy a new one. I doubt Duke gives freebies." You huffed out.
Heisenberg rolled his eyes. "God, you sure do whine a lot. Here-" He dropped a tiny pouch in your lap. "There's some coins in there. That should be enough to buy you a new gun. And for fucks sake, get a gun with more rounds! You don't have time to be loading a gun mid battle." He huffed. "So, where are you going now?"
You rolled your head from side to side. "Well, I went to the Beneviento house. Didn't find Ethan or Rose there. Now, I'm going to the lake."
"The lake? Huh, well if you survived Donna, then Moreau should be a piece of cake. You got the map? Let me show you the short cut, it's not far from here." You gave him the map and he showed you the directions.
"Where are you going then?"
"Mother Miranda called. Don't worry, I'll keep our meeting a secret." He then nodded at you. "Alright, I'm off now."
"Wait!" Your voice stopped him. "I don't know when I'll see Duke again. And I don't have gun, so what if another pack of lycans come?"
Heisenberg slumped his shoulders as he let out an annoyed sigh. "Fine. I gotta do everything by myself." He dog whistled and one of the soldats stopped maiming the lycan and ran to Heisenberg. "From now on, you're gonna listen to her."The soldat looked at you and nodded. "If she tells you to kill, you kill. If she tells you to die, you die. Follow her around and keep her safe." The soldat nodded. Then Heisenberg turned to you. "He's already dead, so don't worry about throwing him in danger. Oh and also, just take him into the sun every once in a while so that his engine can recharge. You'll know when he needs the sun."
You were baffled. "Wait, Heisenberg- how the- what the hell am I supposed to do with him?"
"Figure it out, kid. Think of him as a guard dog."
You looked at the soldat then at Heisenberg's retreating form, then back at the soldat.
"So..." The soldat stared at you. "You got a name?"
"Handsome." You nodded to yourself as you trudged, using the soldat's arm to support yourself. "That's what I'm gonna call you. Handsome. What do you think?"
The soldat was wearing a metal contraption over its eyes, so you couldn't really tell what it was feeling.
"Well, you don't seem to have any complaints, so from now on, you'll respond to the name "Handsome". Do you understand?"
The soldat nodded.
You laughed. God, the pain meds were either making me stupid or everything else funnier.
You looked at the map again. Just a couple of more minutes and then a right turn. And then you should see the lake- god, this map was confusing as hell.
"So..." you wondered what you should ask the cyborg. Oh right. "You seen Ethan? Blonde man, crazy big eyes. Or a baby, Rose?" The man shook his head no.
Sigh. What else could I ask him? What about how did he die? No, what if that's triggering? I can't handle a Terminator right now. And I don't think I should ask him about his past or anything that'll cause him to have a existential crisis. Ah! I've got it!
"Hey, how do you see?"
The soldat looks down at you for a few seconds then points at his metal contraption.
Wait- is that sarcasm?
You scoff. "Of course, you see with your eyes! I meant, with the whole metal thingy covering them, how do you- oh, there's this vision specs in them."
You smiled. "Hey, you're kinda like Cyclops, yknow-" you were cut off as Handsome suddenly pushed you to the ground, turning on his drill.
"Wait, shit- you don't have to be Cyclops! We can talk this out-" but Handsome was focusing on something else, and that's when you saw it. Two lycans.
Handsome ran and easily maimed them to pieces, I mean, you had to look away from the horrific scene midway.
The soldat returned five minutes later, covered in blood. He extended his hand and you reluctantly took it, letting him support you as you began walking again, your heart still beating like crazy.
But you calmed down when you finally reached the lake, the setting sun gave serene feel to the entire reservoir. You inhaled deeply before looking at Handsome. "Lets go down there." You pointed at the lake.
You were both sitting at the wooden broadwalk, your legs hanging off the ledge. You looked at the water, it wasn't crystal clear, but you could see some fishes swimming around, so at least it wasn't dangerous to life. You looked at Handsome, then at his drill and you realised he was still covered in blood. "Lets get you cleaned up, hm?" You said, pulling out a rag from your bag and dipping it in the cold water below. You began with cleaning up his drill, then dipping the rag back in cold water and cleaning his chest and his other arm.
"Good job back there, Handsome."You smiled as Handsome nodded. "Heisenberg was right, you are kinda like a dog. Hmm, I wonder if..." You tested your theory as you petted him on the head. "Good job, Handsome!" But the soldat only tilted its head in confusion.
"Hmm, perhaps not." You cupped the cold water in your hands and washed your own face, You looked at your reflection in the water. "You wanna go for a swim? I don't mind." Handsome shook his head. "Yeah, I'm not a fan of swimming either."
Handsome stared at you. You scoffed. "Oh so you pretend you don't understand what I say, but you want to hear the story? Fine, but I'm only telling you because it might be important later."
You both stared at the water as you began your story. "Well, when I was 15, I had snuck out of the house to go to a party. It was at this rich girl's house and I knew she didn't like me, but I was surprised when she had invited me to her place. Yes, a red flag I should've seen from miles ago, but I was young and dumb and desperate to climb the highschool social hierarchy." You chuckled. "Anyways, long story short, one of the guys there pushed me into the pool because I don't know if they thought it was funny to see me drown? By some luck, I managed to grab onto the pool ledge and pull myself up. I immediately left the party, embarrassed and cold and on the verge of breaking down. Then on the way back home, there was this car following me and then some weirdo catcalled me and tried to get me in his car. Now, scared for my life because I watched a lot of Criminal Minds, I ran all the way home, praying that he leaves me alone. I think he stopped when he saw a Range Rover following him, but I don't know. I just rushed back home." You sighed. "You know what happened next? I bursted through the front door, slamming it shut and I turn around to see my dad in the living room, looking surprised to see me. He stood up and looked me up and down and then said, "Y/n? You're drenched completely. And you're messing up the floor. You know what? Mia's in the bathroom right now, why don't you go upstairs and I'll clean up here. You know how she gets when there's water on the wood." And I was just so shocked, that I didn't say anything and went back upstairs. Once I was in the shower, that's when I broke down crying. I almost drowned, almost got kidnapped and my father was worried about me messing up the wooden floor? Hell, he didn't even ask me why I was coming home at midnight." Your tears fell into the lake, making small ripples. You chuckled, "God, I always wondered how tired he must've been from work that day to ignore all these visible signs of distress. I always hated his job, you know? They made him work way too much." You looked at Handsome who was looking at the lake. "Anywho, now you know I can't swim so, save me if I fall into this lake, okay?" He nodded.
You guys sat in comfortable silence for a few more minutes before a question popped up in your mind. "Handsome?" He turned his head towards you, only to see a mischievous smile on your face. "Are you seeing someone?" The man turned his back to the lake, making you laugh. "Ahh, so you like someone. Tell me, is it someone from the village?" The man further turned his head away from you in embarrassment. "Oh come on, tell me! Is it a girl?" He nodded reluctantly, making you punch his arm. "You dog! Does she know?" Handsome shook his head, making you smile. "Tell you what? As a payback for saving me back there, I'll help you get her. I'll be your wingman, Handsome, hm?" He nodded a bit enthusiastically.
"We all deserve good things, Handsome. No matter how we look, or what we are, these things don't really define one's self worth. Its our intentions, you know?" Handsome didn't know, but he nodded anyways.
"Good. Now, lets go check out this place. Keep an eye out for Ethan and Rose, okay?" You told him, not knowing someone was already watching the two of you.
So... thought?
What did you guys think about Handsome? I'm gonna post a pic of him soon if you guys want.

The Interlude: A Marcus Pike Love Story
Chapter 1/7 (complete, more in masterlist, story also tagged)
Marcus Pike x fem!Reader
Word Count: 2.9k
Tags/warnings: none right now really, no use of y/n, reader’s bf is a douche (it’s not Marcus don’t worry), Marcus is a sweetheart, pining, romance, fluff
I was nervous about this, but @tintinwrites “gently nudged” me into writing this ;)
Marcus Pike couldn’t believe how quickly six months went by since he moved to DC for his new job. He buried himself in his work to deal with his heartbreak over Lisbon, which actually did help. It didn’t give him the time to stay stuck inside his own head and as a result, he had never been more successful in his job. Marcus didn’t even entertain the idea of going on a date or anything, and instead chose to be married to his work.
However, the case he was currently on hit a roadblock. Marcus and his team had been after a prominent art thief for weeks now and they didn’t have a single solid lead. The guy was so elusive that they didn’t even know exactly what he looked like. Somehow, the thief always managed to avoid cameras or any other type of identifier, and it frustrated the hell out of the art theft team.
But, Agent Pike had an idea. It was risky, but he felt backed into a corner and didn’t see any other options. He got in contact with a prominent local artist and got him to agree to set up a sting at his next art show. It would be too tempting for the thief to pass up, and Marcus banked on an appearance from their slippery friend at the show.
It was mid afternoon when Marcus and his team arrived at the gallery to meet with the artist and get themselves set up.
“Johnny Luna?” Marcus asked the man who stood in the middle of the room.
He turned around from the portrait he focused on and greeted the agent with a wide smile, “Agent Pike, I assume?” he extended his hand, “Nice to meet you in person.” Johnny was the definition of tall, dark and handsome, and he had a smile that lit up a room. He had a kind face and flawless skin, and Marcus found himself envious of the man at how effortlessly charming he was.
“Nice to meet you too,” he replied cheerfully, “Thank you for letting us do this. It means a lot here.”
“Happy to help,” Johnny looked around the room, “Just promise me nothing will happen to my babies.”
“We’ll have agents posted throughout the whole gallery, and we’ll stick around all night,” Marcus took note of his team in the midst of their set up, “Nothing’s gonna happen to any of your paintings. You have my word.”
Johnny was about to answer when a figure approached behind him, “Hey Johnny,” your voice broke into the conversation, “Sorry to interrupt, but I need your opinion over here real quick,” your eyes met with Marcus’ and they lit up, “I just need him for a second, I promise,” you added with a quick wink.
Marcus nodded as he watched the two of you walk towards the large painting that was the centerpiece of the collection. As he studied you, he felt something awaken within himself that he tried so hard to keep dormant. You were so beautiful, and there was just something about you that immediately pulled him in, even after just a few words. But as much as Marcus wanted to make a move, he reminded himself about what happened last time and he forced himself to refocus on his work.
“Agent Pike,” Johnny’s voice knocked him out of his thoughts, “Let me introduce you to the best event planner in DC,” he introduced you with your name and swung an arm over your shoulders as you extended your hand to the agent.
“Call me Marcus, please,” he took the opportunity to really study your face, and he couldn’t find a single thing that he didn’t like. He hoped his gaze didn’t linger too long, but he didn’t want to look away from you.
“Marcus,” you repeated his name with a wide smile. The two of you stood in silence for a moment with your hands still connected until you felt the need to talk to him more, “So what drew you to working in the art department?”
“Big fan of art I guess,” he shrugged as he reluctantly let go of your hand and suddenly felt nervous under your soft gaze, “What drew you to event planning?”
“I saw The Wedding Planner when I was young and it sparked the party planner in me,” you replied with a giggle, “Although I have to say I’m a big fan of art and history as well. Federico Andreotti is one of my favorite artists.”
Marcus’ eyes lit up, “The Interlude is one of my absolute favorites,” he felt as if he could run in every direction at once with how much life filled his veins at how perfect you were.
The smile on your face only grew and you felt your heart pound in your chest, “I love that too! Serenade is my personal favorite,” you opened your mouth to say something more but just then, a member of your staff called your attention, “Excuse me gentlemen, duty calls.” You bit your lip before you slowly turned away from the agent and got back to your work.
The two men watched you walk away, and Marcus couldn’t help the question that left his lips, “Are you two… together?” he motioned between you and Johnny and found his heart beat faster in his chest.
“Nah man, she’s my best friend. Known each other forever,” Johnny replied right away as he faced him, “You’re more my type anyway,” he added with a wink.
Marcus chuckled at the comment, “I’m flattered, but she is more my type,” he retorted playfully.
Johnny smiled brightly at him, “I knew it!” he laughed as he clasped his shoulder, “And honestly, I know we just met and all, but I can tell already you’d be so much better for her than Tom.” He watched your whole interaction silently, and it made an idea pop into his head. Johnny knew you well enough to know when you liked someone, and he definitely knew you liked this agent.
Marcus’ face dropped, “So she’s with someone?” He couldn’t hide the disappointment in his voice.
“Yeah, a huge douchebag if you ask me,” he scoffed.
Clearly there was more to the story than that, but one of Marcus’ colleagues walked up then and wanted to go over some details with them. They spoke for a while, and the entire time Marcus snuck glances over at you across the room.
“One thing we have learned about this guy is he seems to take a liking to the ladies,” the other agent said, “The few images we have of him, he’s always talking to good-looking women at galas when he comes to scope it out.”
Agent Pike scanned the room and studied his team and he found himself wondering when so many men were on the art theft team. The only two women were much older, and he knew he couldn’t use them for the setup. Chatter filled the space around him as everyone put in their opinions and ideas; everyone knew that they couldn’t blow this opportunity to finally catch this guy.
“What if I help?” your voice chimed in from behind him.
Marcus jumped and turned around to face you and he wondered how long you had been standing there. “No, this is something for my team to handle. I can’t ask you to do something like that.”
“No offence Agent,” you quipped back, “But your team is kind of a sausage fest. Besides, how much risk can there be in the middle of a crowded art show with a whole FBI team here?” you were light with your words, but held firm in your stance.
Marcus turned back to his team, who all seemed to be in agreement. It was unconventional for sure, but no one saw a better option. With a sigh, he turned back to you and extended his hand once more, “You’re right. I guess you’re an honorary agent for tonight,” he used his humor to hide his nerves before he went through the plan with you and his team. You were to arrive early and wear a wire and a hidden camera while you talked to several men at the show to give them a better shot at identifying their thief.
Once the plan was set, you left with a nod so you could get ready for the evening. Marcus felt a similar feeling in his chest as he watched you leave. Johnny stood by the door to lock it behind you and he shot Marcus a knowing smile when he turned around and caught his eye. He looked away and pretended to be occupied, but he could still feel Johnny’s gaze on him.
The afternoon flew by and before he realized what time it was, you were back at the gallery, all dressed up. Marcus stopped in his tracks when you walked through the doors in your little black dress, your hair and makeup styled to perfection. You greeted Johnny before you looked around, and your face lit up when you met Marcus’ gaze.
“Wow,” he breathed out when you made your way over to him, “You look stunning,” Marcus complimented you as he felt himself get flustered. But he kept it together; he had to be extra focused now that you were involved in the sting here, “You ready?”
You nodded with a fierce determination in your eyes, “I’m ready, Agent Pike.”
Marcus felt a tightness in his chest at your bravery. Beautiful and brave, he hardly knew you but you were already a dream come true for him. And Marcus found that he wanted to do anything to get to know you more, not to mention he felt a fierce determination to keep you protected during the art show tonight.
He pinned a small hidden camera to your dress and handed you an earpiece so he could stay in touch with you throughout the evening as he explained his plan. You were to float around and chat up men in hopes that they could get enough to successfully identify their culprit once and for all.
“Don’t worry, I’ll always be close by,” Marcus said in a soft voice, “I’ll watch over you.”
“I know you will Marcus,” your voice was equally as soft as you gave him a look that he couldn’t decipher the meaning behind.
Marcus’ fears were soon pushed aside as the show started and people filtered in. You moved throughout the crowd, and made sure to take the time to talk to any men who lingered. The tech team went right to work and analyzed the images from each of the men you spoke to and so far came up with nothing. And true to his word, Marcus was always close by just in case something went wrong.
As you made your way around the room, you approached a tall thin man who studied the centerpiece of the collection.
“Hey there,” you broke him out of his trace as you cleared your throat. You seemed to startle him, and you couldn’t see his face until you were right next to him. Immediately you became suspicious.
The man soon recovered, however, and he grinned at you, “Well hello there,” his voice felt like ice and you wanted to back away from him. Yet, you stayed determined. “Shouldn’t you be hung on these walls too? Because you are a piece of work.”
You forced a chuckle at the terrible line, “You’re too kind, but thank you,” you shifted yourself to make sure that your hidden camera got a good look at the man, “This is real art though. You can really feel the emotion the artist put into this piece,” you of course knew just how much your friend poured into the painting before you, but you kept that to yourself.
“For you sweetness, I’d buy it in a heartbeat,” he leaned in close to you.
“You don’t even know me,” your reaction was genuine, “Besides I couldn’t ask someone to spend that much money on me. I’d feel too guilty.”
“Well maybe I won’t actually pay for it then…” he spoke under his breath. When you looked at him in surprise, he shook his head and changed the subject, “I mean…” for the first time he seemed unsure of himself, “There’s things other than money that can buy affection. If you get my drift.”
At that, you visibly cringed and took a step away, “I…. I have to go. Excuse me,” you turned around and walked away, suddenly very uncomfortable. You scanned the crowd for a familiar face and you let out a sigh of relief when you saw Marcus in the distance and you all but ran to him.
“You alright?” Marcus asked in concern as he placed a hand on your shoulder.
“I’m fine,” your voice didn’t convince him in the slightest , “He just seriously creeped me out. I did not get the warm fuzzies from him at all,” you made yourself laugh for a moment at your words, and Marcus relaxed along with you.
“You did really good tonight,” he said your name with admiration, “I think we got what we need here so you can enjoy the rest of the show now,” he paused and looked you over once more, “Thank you.”
At his words, your nerves completely disappeared as you looked into his soft, kind eyes. You let yourself exhale as you handed the hidden camera pin back to him. Once your hands connected, neither of you pulled away for a few moments, and you let your touch linger with his. You were about to close your hand around his when a voice called your name.
You jumped and turned around to find your boyfriend, Tom, walked up with a scowl on his face. He was taller than Marcus, and had a lean, muscular body, though he was not as handsome as Marcus or Johnny. “There you are. You haven’t answered your phone. I’ve been looking all over for you,” there was more annoyance than concern in his voice as he spoke to you.
“I’m sorry,” your once confident and sparkly demeanor changed as you suddenly became a shadow of yourself, “I told you I’d be here and I’d be busy.”
Tom sighed as he ran a hand through his light brown hair, “Well, are you ready to go then?”
“Yeah, just give me a few minutes?”
He nodded with a huff and gave Marcus a disapproving glance before he turned and walked away. You turned back to Marcus and tried to smile, but it didn’t reach your eyes like before, “Sorry, I gotta get going. Is there anything I need to do before I go?”
Marcus watched the whole interaction with a subtle frown on his face, but he softened his expression when you turned back around, “No, you’ve done more than enough,” he paused. He didn’t want you to go so he tried to think of a reason to keep you in front of him for even a moment longer, “Here’s my card. It’s got my cell on it so give me a call if you ever need anything,” his breath caught in his throat when your fingers touched again as you took the card from him, “I’ll probably need to follow up with you if we successfully ID our perp.”
You were about to pull out your phone when Tom shouted your name again. You let out a shaky breath before you decided not to irritate him further, “You can get my number from Johnny, just tell him I said it’s ok,” you lingered for another moment, “I’m sorry, I gotta go.” With that, you rushed to meet your boyfriend, who put his arm around you the second you were close enough. But it wasn’t a comforting or loving embrace, and he seemed to treat you more like an object or a possession than a person. And it made Marcus furious.
“I see you’ve met Tom,” Johnny’s voice came from behind Marcus, “I told you: total douchebag.”
Marcus nodded in agreement, “Is he…” he cleared his throat as he struggled to find the words, “He’s not hurting her or anything, is he?”
Johnny shook his head, “What kind of best friend do you think I am? I wouldn’t let her stay with him if he was.”
Marcus sighed as he watched the door in the futile hope that you would walk back inside. The two men stood together in silence for a moment before he remembered, “Oh, she told me I can get her number from you. I need to follow up if we get a lead,” Marcus said.
Johnny smiled widely, “I would love to give you her number.”
Meanwhile, you sat in the passenger seat of your boyfriend’s car as gazed out the window as he rambled on about himself yet again, not even bothering to ask you about your day. But then again, he rarely did. You were brought back to the present when your phone buzzed, and you looked down to a text from a number you had just saved in your phone.
It’s Agent Pike. Thanks again for your help today, the sausage fest art department appreciates it. I’ll be in touch. :)
For the first time since you got into the car, you smiled.

Business AU - Working Late, Part 8
Part 1 || Part 2 || Part 3 || Part 4 || Part 5 || Part 6 || Part 7
There’s one scene in there I had in mind ever since I started writing that small fic and HELL YEH I’m gonna draw something about it at some point because fsdfbbsfbsdhbfgsbgdfguidfg it just looks aesthetically pleasing in my head.
ENJOY.
(also reminder that I base Donnie’s place on this video. The only part I change is the “kids” area - which is horrendous imo :’D - and I make into a lab/small training area)
There was something different in the air when Vee got to work the next day. This feeling that wanted to explode out in the open, an incessant rush in her veins that made her heart beat faster whenever she’d spot the terrapin. Their tasks for the day didn’t give them much time to talk, but everytime they’d be exchanging words or documents, there was this longing sensation that slowed down time to a honey sweet pace. Fingers brushing against the other, light touches here and there. Professionalism remained king in the work place and they intended to keep it as such.
By the end of the day, she knew she couldn’t leave without at least wishing a good and proper evening to the mutant. She walked to his office, remaining at the doorframe as she watched him place various papers into a briefcase. Vee gently knocked, signaling her presence, to which Donnie responded by looking up to her and adorning the cutest smile.
“At least this time I didn’t scare you,” started the woman.
“As I said yesterday, I had a lot on my mind. At least today my thoughts are a little clearer, so I can’t be easily scared. Come in!” he added, gesturing for Vee to step inside.
“I won’t take much of your time, I just wanted to check up on you before leaving.”
The turtle placed some final documents in the case, snapping it closed afteward.
“I was actually about to leave as well. Want me to drive you back home?”
“Do you have something planned?” asked Vee, raising a brow with a small smile.
Donnie faked pondering, lightly drumming his fingers on his desk: “Hmm, I suspect I might be spending the evening with a pretty lady, if she agrees.”
“Lucky her, I’m sure she’ll say yes,” winked the woman.
Already on the move, Donnie offered a hand for Vee to hold, the duo then walking together in order to reach the indoor garage at some levels below.
“Is it okay, though? Did you have something to do after work?” asked the terrapin.
“I was planning on having a drink back home, but if I can share one with you, that’d be even better.”
“How about you have that drink at my place? I have a couple of bottles that might interest you.”
“You know that if I am to step foot into your place, I will be incredibly jealous, right? ... I’m sure you must be living in a luxurious place or something.”
“A little castle in the sky, but it sure is missing a beautiful presence inside of it.”
Vee blushed, definitely enjoying the compliments that were left here and there.
Once in the vehicle, the duo made their way to the streets, the conversation light and simply glad the week was finally over. Vee did notice that their path led them to streets that featured tall buildings in the Tribeca district. For a moment she felt out of place, definitely not the target audience for such a high-end environment, but her curiosity kept her on edge only to be able to get a view of Donnie’s place. They were first facing a tower with a blank stone facade, extending so high up in the sky. The entrance’s interior was as elegant and refined as the exterior, the place giving out this feeling of prestige from every corners. As they stepped inside an elevator, Vee’s eyes widened a little as she saw Donnie press the button for the 78th floor. Castle in the sky, indeed.
As they arrived at the desired level, they were soon facing the entry door, the turtle smirking to the woman as he held the doorknob and waited.
“Ready?”
“Open the damn thing already so I can cry a little inside,” answered Vee amusedly.
The door fully opened, she couldn’t retain her gasp as her eyes started to devour the interior of what was rightfully a penthouse.
The very first few rooms she saw around left her speechless, the single thought of ‘this is bigger than my whole damn apartment’ flooding her mind. She knew there would be more, her curiosity would lead her to visit every rooms anyway. She did notice french doors leading to an outdoor balcony, her instinct pushing her to get out and take in the view.
Stopping by the the rails, she could feel the refreshing gusts of wind go through her hair, accentuating the euphoria of being so high over the city.
“So, what do you think so far?”
She turned around to face Donnie, the terrapin leaning against the open doors’ frame, always this smile on his face - glad to see her reaction. Vee tried to play it cool, shrugging.
“Heh, I’ve seen better,” she joked.
“Ah damn, and I wanted to impress,” tsked the terrapin in a similar tone.
Vee couldn’t retain her smile any longer, happily trotting back inside.
“You still have your chances. Show me the rest!”
The lower level was also home to a small office and a formal living room, but the next area was what retained the woman’s attention the most.
The kitchen was a thing of beauty, Vee unable to resist the urge to feel the marbled island and counters, in awe of the space.
“Damn, I WISH I had such a kitchen. I'd be cooking all the time!”
“You fancy yourself as a chef?” questionned Donnie.
“I do like to experiment from times to times,” she winked back.
She clapsed her hands together, bringing another subject on a rather similar topic:
“SO! What should we eat? I could even prepare something if you want.”
The turtle waved that offer away.
“Nonsense, you're my guest, you shouldn't be doing anything of that sort. … I uh-” He opened some cupboards, then the fridge and its freezer. “Wow, I have almost nothing! Except one frozen pizza for dire situations,” he added, waving a box out in the open with an unpleased expression.
Vee was instantly on board: “You know what? Fuck yeah. It's Friday night, we deserve that.”
“Now that's a line of thought I can get behind.”
As Donnie was starting to preheat the oven, Vee got closer, some questions raising in her mind:
“Although, I'm kinda susprised you don't have much variety, judging by the size of this place.”
“Not gonna lie, I need to go grocery shopping,” shrugged the mutant. “Also that tends to happen at certain times of the month. Mikey has us go through our stock, fresh and canned, in order to donate to food banks and soup kitchens.”
“That's amazing and kind!” Vee was pleasantly surprised.
“He does have this city at heart, and he loves to give back to the people,” continued Donnie. “We all love the idea. Since we can afford pretty much anything we want, it's only fair that we help those in needs. … Heck, this city has done a lot for us in the past and we had to rely on what others were throwing away for us to survive. Now it's time to pay back.”
“I find that to be very admirable,” commented the woman gently. “… Not a lot of people would do the same.”
“Indeed. It’s not because we’re mutants that it means we’re savages. We do have some heart under our shells,” he playfully added.
The oven ready, the food was placed to cook and the tour then continued. As Vee was heading to the staircase in order to reach the upper level, Donnie stopped her, pressing a button nearby and opening a encased door in the wall to reveal a small elevator.
“Show off!” laughed Vee
“What?! It can be helpful!” he quipped back with a smile.
The second floor offered two sections, one part leading to the bedroom, but the other leading to entertainement and other things. They first got to the media room, the place cozy for a nice and quiet evening.
But Vee’s eyes brought her to the glass doors that led to a juliet balcony, not wasting any time to open them and take another good look at the city.
She sighed dreamily, barely hearing the faint clinking of glasses and a bottle opening back inside.
“You like the view, don’t you?” started Donnie as he next got near, offering her a glass of red wine.
“It looks and feels like a dream. Didn’t know such a place could be found in this city.”
As she took it, the terrapin next sled his free hand and forearm gently around her waist, unable to resist the need to feel her closer... Vee did not mind, actually leaning back a little against him, gladly taking a sip of her drink before answering:
“You’d be surprised, there are bigger places laying around.”
“I’m sure they wouldn’t look as tasteful as yours.”
“Nonsense. It only looks good right now ‘cause you’re in here. ... Any places you’re in looks a thousand times better than before.”
Vee’s blush was more apparent as she could feel the other gently nuzzle the top of her head, slowly making his way to a temple and leaving a soft kiss there.
“You’re one heck of a charmer, did you know that?” added the woman with a smirk.
“I only aim to please, I can’t help it.”
She turned to face him, raising a brow in amusement.
“And so what now? You brought me to your place only so you could woo and please me?”
“That does sound like a good plan.”
The feel of his hand next cupping her cheek brought a shiver across the woman’s body, leaning slightly to his touch. His scales did feel foreign compared to human skin, but there was a certain softness to it as well that only made her crave for more...
“Each days I wake up and wonder if meeting you was ever a dream...,” softly said the mutant.
“I wouldn’t mind making it feel a bit more real to you.”
That brought a quiet chuck out of Donnie, but also gave him enough courage to lean in and place a sweet, slow kiss on Vee’s lips. Each instances would bring their bodies closer, the duo mindlessly making their way back inside and only breaking their kiss to leave their wine glasses on a nearby coffee table. It was that magnetism, a certain je ne sais quoi that sparked that fire in them whenever they’d get that close. Last evening’s passion was still lingering and right now it felt as if there had been no break at all since then. As Vee was starting to unbutton the mutant’s shirt, both heard a beeping sound, stopping them dead in their tracks. Their eyes fell on Donnie’s right wrist - his watch.
“Shit, the food,” said the terrapin. “I, uh, I’ll be right back,” he added, trying to gain back his senses. “I’ll get it out and let it cool for a bit on the counter.”
“Sure, go,” replied Vee with a small smile, slightly flustered as she replaced her crooked glasses and moved some strands of hair away from her face.
She took back her wine as she watched him go. A part of her was telling her to slow down, but on the other hand she couldn’t deny that the need was there - on both sides. What harm could there be? It was just about having a little bit of fun... She proceeded back to the hallway, sipping as her gaze scanned the decor. She heard hurried steps in the staircase, soon Donnie’s shape coming into view. He tried to play it cool as he noticed the woman looking at him, vaguely gesturing in the kitchen’s direction downstair.
“It’s ready whenever you want.”
Vee took another sip, then adding: “We still haven’t finished the tour yet. Let’s do that first!”
“There’s not much left, but alright.”
“‘Not much left’, says the guy who lives in a two-story penthouse WITH an elevator,” pointed Vee, amused.
The mutant chuckled, inviting the woman to follow him as he left a hand at the small of her back. The next part had been completely renovated in order to have one room be a small lab, and the other one be a private gym and training area.
“What kind of trainings do you do?” inquired Vee, looking around at the equipment.
“Mostly nin-uhm, martial arts,” Donnie quickly corrected himself.
“’Nin-uhm-martial-arts’, sounds interesting,” laughed the woman. “Any specialty?”
“Bōjutsu,“ he replied, grabbing a pole from a rack nearby.
Vee whistled in appreciation, her eyes scanning the weapon.
“I’ve heard that can pack quite a punch, surprisingly.”
“It’s good to whack some butts, not gonna lie,” added Donnie, rolling the staff in one hand. Then in one swift movement he brought the woman closer, the pole resting at her back. “It can also be helpful for some maneuvers,” he ended with a smirk.
“Such a tease,” said Vee, playfully tapping at his exposed plastron. “I wouldn’t say no to a demonstration.”
“Another day, perhaps.”
He let her free, putting the staff back to its resting place
“Aight, come on, one room left!”
“What about that lab part?” asked Vee, following the terrapin next.
“There’s nothing much to see, frankly. It’s pretty messy as well.”
“Or maybe you’re just a mad scientist and you don’t want me to see your evil inventions?”
Donnie faked a surprised gasp: “Alas, you’ve uncovered my secret!”
Both were laughing as they made their way to the last room; the master bedroom.
It was quite simple and charming, but the main feature remained the large windows that gave that same phenomenal view of the city. Vee took some time to appreciate the decor, sipping the last drops of wine from her glass.
“... I can’t imagine waking up every day with such a view,” she mused, her gaze drifting back to the windows. “You must feel on top of the world.”
“Wait, I can make it even better,” said the other as he moved to the light switch.
As soon as he turned the lights off, the room’s atmosphere changed, suddenly illuminated by a sea of stars below them.
Envelopped in darkness, yet glistening in colorful lights, Vee felt at peace - a hidden watcher over this tumultuous city. She next felt her glass gently get taken away from her hold, the mutant leaving it on a small table nearby. It didn’t take long for him to get back close to her, his arms surrounding Vee’s form as he stood behind her. The woman easily slipped into that feel good moment, closing her eyes and exposing a faint smile on her lips. He felt so strong, yet tender - the promise of a good man that would never do her wrong...
“... I’m so glad you’re here,” he murmured, his hands travelling along Vee’s arms in light touches.
Oh to hell with it. She decided to move out of Donnie’s hold, proceeding to remove her shirt. She turned around to face him, noticing his gaze studying her form and probably a bit surprised to suddenly see her in her bra. But she didn’t give a damn. That’s what she wanted.
“And I’m glad to be here,” she answered calmly.
She heard that deep churr rise again in the mutant’s chest, an expression of desire which would entice her so much in return... Vee couldn’t help bringing her hands to his exposed chest, feeling the faint vibration and appreciating the texture of his plastron. Her touch lowered, continuing her previous task of unbuttoning his shirt. The turtle helped a bit by detaching another button behind his neck and then at his lower back, allowing the clothing to be properly removed from around his shell’s attachment. Without a shirt, Vee could rightfully observe the terrapin’s muscles, her fingers lightly hovering his toned arms and appreciating every inches of what she saw. All it took was for their gazes to cross, her greens in his golds, to bring back that same need from earlier. Kiss me again and again, and never stop...
The feel of his lips was pure addiction at this point. A slow dance that lightened up all her senses. Soon enough he was sitting down on the bed, Vee inviting herself unto his lap only so she couldn’t break their kissing. To feel his three-fingered hands across her skin kept her in such an incessant need, feeling like she was drowning in-between her legs. The terrapin dared to unclasp and remove her bra, although the whole movement felt very natural. In return, the woman removed her glasses, as well as Donnie’s, taking a moment to admire his traits.
“... You have such beautiful eyes,” she cooed, next tenderly sliding his bandana away.
She couldn’t get over the feeling of his scales under her fingers, soon nuzzling his cheek and her lips trailing light kisses here and there.
“Fais-moi l’amour (make love to me),” she whispered.
Donnie answered with a stronger churr, his hands travelling lower on Vee’s body only to bring her closer into one delicious wave motion, her lower core meeting his hidden erection. The movements were repeated, getting a momentarily release for all that sudden need. It was when he started to hear quiet moans out of her that he decided ‘screw it‘ and proceeded to shift her position to have her lay on the bed, on her back. Bringing himself over her, he left some kisses on her lips before starting to trail along her features, his tone husky as he started:
“You smell nice...”
He went along her throat, his pace slow and delightful. His path led him lower and lower, from her breasts to her stomach.
“I’m sure you taste nice too,” he added.
Sitting on his knees, he brought Vee’s hips over his thighs, but he gave himself a pause, his palm caressing the front part of her jeans.
“You good? You still wanna go on with this?” asked the terrapin.
She nodded, biting her lip in delight.
“Absolutely, or else I wouldn’t be laying here, half naked. ... What about you?”
He smiled, already at the task of unbuttoning and unzipping Vee’s pants.
“I never want to stop.”
In one swift movement, he removed her panties as well, undressing her completely without issue. He took a moment to study her form softly illuminated by the lights outside. She was a work of art to his eyes and right now he felt like the luckiest man alive... He lovingly squeezed her hips and altered with languid caresses over the woman’s skin, only to next bring one of his hands closer to her core, his thumb starting in slow circles over her clit. He could feel the relief washing over Vee’s body, her waist lightly following his motion only so she could feel more. The greater her need, the more Donnie didn’t want to let go. He even got to slip one finger in her at some point, her moans an absolute delight as he took his time. After a moment, he dared get his finger out, his gaze plunged in Vee’s as he licked his digit with a low churr.
“... You do taste nice,” he commented lovingly. “Now I wonder how you’d feel around me.”
Vee was unable to speak, her heart beating so hard and throwing any reason out the window... As she saw Donnie about to unzip his pants, she got on the move and decided to take the matter in her own hands. They joined in a kiss as she got to the task, the mutant’s hands caressing her skin and sometimes getting lost in her hair, visibly as much in need as her for their imminent union. He was able to get out of his pants and underwear in a slight clumsy fashion, but he was quickly back on his knees, allowing Vee to observe him. Of a mixed pink and purple color, his penis did present some characteristics that were not human, such as a slightly flared tip. As it had been internal until now, the organ was coated in natural lubricant when out, most probably allowing for an easier penetration and accomodation to any partner. He was a bit longer than what Vee ever experienced with other partners, but right now her desire was surpassing any concerns. They didn’t need to speak, Vee bringing the mutant into another kiss, allowing herself to climb back into his lap only for their cores to meet and rub in a delicious manner. The world around them was a blur of shadows and lights, only their presence the most real and tangible aspect in the room. Their thoughts were a cloud of mixed emotions, but right now what mattered most was that they wanted this. They needed this. A demonstration of love they’ve been holding back for some time now... Donnie instinctively started to shift forward, getting Vee back on the mattress. He was careful enough to hold back some of his weight on her, having enough strength to sustain himself, even when the woman would cling to him. He felt her legs gently caress along his, finding the best position to hold close to his hips, his shell proving to be somewhat of a challenge. That slight shift in her position allowed for better friction, the turtle’s languid motions bringing delighted mewls out of Vee. At some points he could feel his tip trying to slip in, to which he thought ‘fuck it’ and decided to go all in. Vee’s gasp brought him to a pause, remaining inside of her only so she could adjust.
“You okay?” he murmured, encouraging her with some kisses here and there on her features.
She nodded, her fingers lovingly going across his scales at his neck and shoulders.
“I’ll go slow, I promise,” he added.
He’d never excuse himself if he ever were to hurt her, anyway. His churr rumbled again as he slowly moved his hips in a circular motion, Vee sticking to him like glue. Her toes were curling due to pleasure, her body soon following Donnie’s pattern only to better meet his thrusts. Some slurred “fuck” and “oh oui” would leave her at times, sometimes interrupted by kisses that translated all the desire in her. At some point Donnie shifted their position so they would lay on their sides, still facing eachother. He helped one of Vee’s leg to stay up, his palm resting behind her thigh, allowing her to feel his muscles at work.
“You feel so good,” he complimented, back into an amorous motion.
The friction created by this new proximity was bringing Vee on edge. She was unable to answer anything, her breathing making her lose her words. It was the only encouragement the mutant needed, nuzzling her as he kept going. Everything felt so natural. As if all the pieces of an intricate puzzle had finally been assembled. There was this sensation of completion between them, knowing that something in their bond would definitely shift - hopefully for the best.
“You like that, baby? I won’t stop. I wanna feel you cum around me...”
She moaned his name in return, her eyes remaining shut as she lost herself even more in the moment. Every touches and kisses heightened all sensations, bringing both of them to an edge they so very craved for. Feeling Vee’s body tensing up slightly, the terrapin knew she was close to an orgasm, lightly squeezing his hold on her and bringing her into a french kiss. His thrusts were a little more forceful, their bodies tingling in anticipation. It was when she gasped for air, her nails digging into his scales, that he knew she was high on a cloud. He could feel her walls deliciously clamp around him, the sensation bringing him to his own edge as well. His orgasm brought him to slow his pace to long and langorous pumps. Their moans intertwined, riding this wave together. Neither of them wanted to depart once the high died down, keeping close and slowly petting eachother. Vee did bring Donnie’s attention on her as she left small kisses along his jawline. His golden eyes seemed to shine in this surreal lighting, conveying many unspoken words. There was this feeling of peace he never experienced with anyone else before. An affirmation that this was where he belonged, in her arms, as well as she belonged in his. They were still connected and it felt so right...
“Well, now that really opened my appetite,” finally said Vee with a small smile.
He smiled in return, leaving a kiss on her forehead. His appetite was growing as well, and for many things too...
***
Only wearing their underwears and glasses, both were now cuddled up in blankets on the couch in the media room, the television on to a random channel as they were eating their pizza (which they had to reheat, to their amusement). As they finished their meal, Vee did not mind cuddling closer to the turtle, simply enjoying eachother’s presence. Her attention did drift from the television at some point, observing Donnie’s traits instead. She was used to seeing him with his purple bandana, but even with a bare face and only his glasses he still had a lot of charms. He had a kind face and the cutest snout, the mere sight of him a wonder when compared to humankind. The terrapin did notice her focus on him at some point, smirking.
“Yes? Can I help you, madame?”
“I have a question.”
“Outrageous,” he added playfully. “... Do tell.”
She shifted her position a bit, bringing an arm against his chest, softly petting the scales at his collarbone and base of his neck.
“Why do you and your brothers wear those bandanas? ... If it’s too personal, you don’t need to answer.”
His smile was renewed and sweet, his arm around her bringing his hand to pet her shoulder and skin in return.
“I don’t mind answering at all, although I’ll skip some details.... But long story short, it was a gift given to us by our father, years ago. It has a great significance for us and it’s still a great proof of all we had to learn and overcome in order to be who we are today.”
“Something symbolic then, that’s nice,” added Vee. “As long as it brings something positive in your life, that sure can be as nice as anything. .... Also, not gonna lie, purple looks good on you.”
“It’s my favorite and it’s the best color, that’s why! What’s your favorite color?”
Vee was amused by this simple question, but that brought her to move once more. She was now straddling the terrapin, her eyes scanning him as she answered:
“It’s green.”.
“Oh,” added the other in amusement. “So I guess I must be quite the jackpot for you?”
"You're everything I want..."
There was no ounce of hesitation as she leaned forward to give him a sweet kiss. Donnie easily gave in, his hands resting at the small of the woman’s back This time there was no shyness in-between them, only comfort and peace. Soon enough the television was nothing but background noise as they kept going for a second round that night...

Disney Romance - Tangled in the Stars - 200 followers special
Hiii ! Thanks a lot for letting me choose 💕 I would like Tangled with female reader and my Sabo boy 🎂 - @pure-kirarin
A/N : Hey Kirarin chan!! Thanks for the brilliant idea of the 200 followers event. I hope you like this cringe story of mine. Please don’t have any high expectations on it, I may not reach them. I enjoyed writing this story a lot. Please forgive me for any mistakes.
Pairing : Sabo X Fem! Reader
Word count : 2.3 K
Warnings : Angst, fluff, happy ending
Your team were given a mission to infiltrate the base of a well-known Merchant, who was also a kidnapper. To set free all the people who were kidnapped and to hand him over to the revolutionary was your work. But… it felt like, it was already an assigned mission. Brushing the feeling aside, you took on the mission without asking anything else.
Luckily you people achieved success because of your planning. It felt like… it was the first time, your plan was actually implemented, without any ruckus or chaos. But why? Thinking about this, you felt your heart clench and your eyes started to well up.
“Y/N! What happened”, asked Koala as she came towards you. You wiped your tears with your shirt sleeve and gave her a smile. “I feel happy because we completed the mission without any… havoc”, you said trying to brush off the topic.
She kissed your cheek and said, “Aww you are so cute. Btw, we have a break for 3 days before we set sail”.
“Oh that’s great. Do you think there is any-”
“LIBRARY AROUND”, she completed your sentence before you could, making you chuckle. “There is one beside the railway station but, what are you going to read about? The Cursed castle?”, she asked you gaining your complete interest.
“Cursed castle? What is it?”, you asked curiously. Koala raised her eye brow and asked you, “What? You don’t know about that castle? There are so many rumours about that castle”.
“No, can you tell me about it?”, you tugged at her shirt and she closed her eyes and started to think.
“Actually, I’ve heard that there is a place in the forest, where there is a one tower castle. Everyone said that the castle is absolutely beautiful but it is cursed. If an individual steps into the castle, they get cursed”.
“Where is the castle and What is the curse?”, you asked her but she shook her head no and continued, “Sadly, I know nothing more about it”
“Oh… Now I have a even more interesting reason to take a tour of the Library, Thanks Koala”, you said getting up from your place.
“But, what about our shopping, HEY Y/N!!”, she wined
“Rain check”, you said closing the door behind you earning a sigh from her.
You walked quickly towards the library as your heart started to beat faster with each step you took. It was as if you needed to know about it or… like your life depended on it. Reaching the library, you walked quietly into the section of myths of the place. Looking around the shelves about the cursed castle, you found nothing about it. You tried to read and search for anything similar to it, but you found nothing.
“Excuse me, it’s the closing time”, an old woman, who was apparently the librarian, said to you. You looked at the clock and it was 11 pm. Getting up from the place you bowed to the lady and started to walk. Then a closed section of the library caught your eye.
“Sorry mam but, why is this place closed?”, you asked the librarian. She looked at the section and said, “From the time I started working here, it has been closed and no one is allowed in there”.
“Oh… Okay, I’ll leave now. Thanks”, you said and exited the place. After 15 minutes the old lady came out of the library and closed the door. As soon as she left the place and making sure no one was there, you made your way towards the door and opened the lock. Oh c’mon, this lock was a child’s play in front of all the locks that you opened before. Looking back and closing the door silently, you turned the lamp which you held and proceeded towards the closed section. ‘No Trespassing, closed for now’, was written on the door. You raised an eye brow and opened the door as you smirked.
‘The door would be broken by now, if this was read by-’, your thoughts stopped. ‘By whom?’, you thought as you felt the same pain in your heart. You clenched your fist and started to look at the books. They were mostly about the place’s history on the dark side and also the war plans used in the past.
‘Should I give up?’, you thought but again you felt a sting in your heart, as if you were supposed to search for it. You looked at all the books but couldn’t find even a similar book regarding it. You placed the books as they were and turned to leave the place even though your heart felt like it was crying with pain. Just as when you were about to leave, a painting caught your attention.
You went towards it and lifted your lamp to see it clearly. You saw that, it was a painting of a castle. ‘A one tower castle’, you thought as you saw the painting even more carefully. There was a full moon in the sky, the waterfall in the background. The sky was filled with so many stars and when observed carefully, there you saw a guy, with blond hair staring at the stars. For some reason, your heart started to beat faster than usual looking at the man in the painting. Suddenly the man moved and went inside the castle. ‘What the hell? Did he just move?’, freaking out, you took a chair and climbed on it, to touch the painting.
As your hand came in contact with the painting, you got dragged into it. You screamed as you hit the hard surface.
“Ouch! What the…”, you said as you placed your hand on your back and looked around you. It was a beautiful room, coloured with royal gold and had red carpet on the floor.
“WHO ARE YOU?”, you turned towards the voice of the person. Your (eye colour) orbs met with black orbs of a man with blond hair. He was lean and tall, also had a scar on his left eye. Your heart started to beat faster as you looked at him as if you already knew him.
He gulped as he clenched his fists and asked again, “How did you come here? Who are you?”, you blinked your eyes and got up quickly. “I have no idea how I got here. I was in a library looking at a painting one moment and then suddenly I got here”, you said and looked around.
“What happened? Why are you crying?”, he asked you. You didn’t even notice that you were crying till he mentioned, wiping your tears, you said, “It’s.. It’s nothing, I just felt like, you were familiar”.
He exhaled and nodded. “I feel the same, as if we met before, but I don’t know you”
“Is that so… What are you doing here in this castle?”
“I… I think I am the owner of this place. I can’t go out”, he said looking down.
“Oh… Can you show me the exit?”, you asked him hoping to just leave the castle.
“Exit? This place has no exit. I searched but couldn’t find”, he said to your surprise. ‘What the hell is this new problem’, you thought as you looked around.
He walked towards the window and leaned his elbows on the window sill. Looking at the stars he said, “You can’t find it. You won’t be able to. I also want to leave”
“Didn’t you ever think about escaping?”, you asked him as he continued to stare at the sky. “I don’t know. When ever I think about it, I get the question of, why I should even leave?”
‘I don’t know what is happening with this guy but… I guess if I involve, I’ll definitely be in a big problem’, you thought
“That’s pretty lonely stuff right there. What is your name? I’m Y/N by the way”
“I…”, he turned towards you and continued, “Sabo… yeah, Sabo is my name”.
“Oh okay then Sabo, even if you don’t wanna go, I intend to leave. My friends are waiting for me”, you said, ignoring the fact that your heart was beating faster because of him, as if he was the answer, but… to what?
“Friends?”, he asked
“Yeah, So, Sabo… wanna escape if you have a chance?”, you asked him. Why do you want him to come with you? What is this blond man having this effect on you?
“Can I? Are you sure that I can?”, he asked clearly wanting to know the answer.
“Yeah, how about jumping from here for starters sake?”, you ask him but he shakes his head no.
“I tried. I got back here again”, he sighed and continued, “I even tried to destroy the castle but nothing happened to it. It feels like, its mocking me for being the strongest”
He again looked out the window and said, “I don’t know if it’s a riddle that needs to be solved but, I feel like the stars are trying to say something. But I can’t understand what”. You look at the stars and then you see that, some stars are in the shape of the letter ‘J’. You walked towards the window and stood beside him. You remember teaching someone about constellations before. But… who was it?
“You… you are correct. The stars… It’s a constellation”, you replied to him and he perked up with curiosity. You observed the constellation and your hunch was correct. Pointing towards the stars, you said, “See, its looking like a letter ‘J’ if you observe”, he keenly observed and yes it was a visible to him.
“Yes, so what does it mean?”, he asked you and you continued, “Its Scorpius, according to the Greek mythology, it represents the deadly scorpion that kills Orion, the hunter, who was really proud of himself for his hunting abilities. Once there was a hunter, Orion, bragged to kill the animals of the world, but Apollo, sky god, didn’t like his attitude, so he sent a scorpion, who would end the hunter, Orion”, he placed his hand on his head and closed his eyes tightly.
“What happened?”, you questioned him.
“It… it just feels like… someone used to talk with me about constellations before. But I can’t seem to remember”, he admitted and then enquired, “So, why do you think the stars were trying to convey it?”
“I may be wrong but… I feel like, the castle is like the hunter. You said that, it was mocking you. But I feel like, it can be destroyed”, you ended as you took Sabo’s hand in yours and walked towards the centre of the castle. If you weren’t so concentrated to destroy the castle, you could’ve heard how loud Sabo’s heart beat was getting.
You observed that, the celling indeed had designs of Scorpius and Orion on it, with a star between them. Pointing towards it, you said, “Lets aim the star between Orion and the Scorpius”. Without hesitating, Sabo nodded and you both aimed at it and placed a single hit. Suddenly, the castle started to shake and cracks were forming quickly.
“I think we did it”, you said and then gasp suddenly, you felt Sabo pick you up like a princess and run towards the window. “We don’t have all day, Lets jump”, he said before jumping. You hugged him tight and he also did the same.
After you two tightly held each other, you didn’t feel any ground hit you. You both opened your eyes and you both were in the dimly lit, library room, where you were searching for the book and found the painting.
You looked up and saw that, you were still holding Sabo… Sabo, your boyfriend, whom you forgot about.
“Sabo? Why did I forget you?”, you asked him tears threatening to fall from your eyes, as he looks at you. He exhales and looks around the place and then at you again.
“Y/N! Its you. Its you!”, he exclaimed as you hugged you tightly. Pulling back he kissed the tears on your cheeks.
“Why did I forget you? It felt like no one remembered you? You were the one who was assigned this mission. How did this happen?”, you wine and sob at the same time.
“When I reached this place, the merchant wasn’t in town, so we decided to wait to catch him and free the new kidnapped people he would bring with him. But I got to know about this cursed castle and infiltrated this library to find book, that you’d like to read about it. Then I broke this door open and tried to bring the painting to you. Then got stuck in it”, he wiped the tears again from your cheeks and continued, “I didn’t remember anyone from this world, but I swear, I missed you. Thankyou for coming here and saving me, Y/N”, he said as he leaned his forehead to yours.
“I… I missed you too. I felt like there was something missing always. I used to cry without any reason”, you sobbed as he nodded and apologised for making you cry. You both exited the library after a while and headed towards the room you were given, still holding hands.
“You know, we found the merchant and freed the people who were kidnapped. For the first time no one messed up my plan”, you said to him only to receive a chuckle in return.
“Is that so. I hope its enough for this life. Get ready now because, your plans will be disturbed again”, he said making you laugh.
After reaching the room, you and Sabo cuddled next to each other as you both tried to sleep. You both kissed goodnight and slept. The next day, everyone were shocked to see and also remember Sabo. They were so confused at the incident and couldn’t figure out why they forgot about Sabo. You both never mentioned about the incident and the cursed castle painting was destroyed thanks to you two. He was the answer that you were looking for.
XOXOXOXO
I hope you liked it! Thankyou for reading. I am no expert in all the constellations. I just did some research on it. Nothing more. Sorry if I made any mistakes.

Hey @pinyapple! I’m your Secret Cupid! Here I am jumping from the horse into the last wagon of the event train:D I hope that the story is interesting, and you’ll enjoy it! @rdr-secret-cupid
Pairing: John Marston\f!Reader Warnings: fluff\angst&comfort\a hint of smut - 3in1: a little bit of this and that Words: 3434 (picture is not mine \ credits to the author)
“Morning, my dear girl,” said your father when you approached a big wooden table in the middle of the kitchen. “Good morning, dad,” you smiled, sleepily rubbing your eye.
It was a Saturday morning and today you woke up exceptionally late, about 1pm.
You were living on a small farm with your father. It was located a few miles away from the nearest town and it would’ve taken a half an hour to ride there.
You loved to take an old Travis the horse from the stable and ran away where the sun was waking up early. You liked to dream about travelling, adventures and far lands in the shadow of a big tree not very far from your house.
“I’ve been in town this morning,” said your father. “Did you? You never told me that you were going to. How was the ride? Everything was fine?” “Yes, sure. I saw Mrs. Anderson. She sent her regards.” “Oh, I appreciate that, thank you,” you smiled at him.
Mrs. Anderson was a nice woman who had a small flower shop and always gave you some flowers when you attended the town.
“I will drop in during the next visit,” you said while making yourself tea and sliced some more bread. “That’s what I’d like to hear!”, he replied.
Mr. (y\second name) was conservative when it came to the questions of manners. You were always expected to be a polite girl from a good family and you definitely were. But the young blood always desires venture. May it be caused by the stars location or chaotic decision of capricious gods, but something led you to the meeting with a man called John Marston on that fateful evening.
You opened the newspaper which was on the corner of the table and looked through some articles before you turned to your father.
“Dad? I wanted to go for a walk tonight. I heard that this evening will be special and the starfall must be observable from our part of the world!” “What do you say!” “Yes! I heard it from Mr. Douglas a week ago.” “You want to go out alone at night? You are a grown up lady and it’s not my privilege to tell you what to do, but don’t you think it’s a dangerous idea? There’re criminal elements in this area, you know that." “Oh don’t worry papa, I won’t be alone. I arranged to get together with our former sheriff’s elder son. He likes astronomy, do you remember that?” “Sure I do,” - he kept silent for some moment then said, - “Well. I think I can agree on that.”
Sheriff’s elder son was a man in his early forties and was married to a town girl and had already earned himself time to do astronomy, so there was nothing to worry about. Of course, getting such an alibi was a bold action, because if your father decides to ask about observing the stars, just from the point of good manners, the truth will be brought to the light. Your actual plan was to meet with John today. You also wanted to discuss a family dinner. The truth was that none of them knew about it - that’s why you were feeling a little nervous about the upcoming meeting. You wanted to introduce John to your father, but he always wanted you to unite for life with a noble young man from a prospective family, occupied in, let’s say, sales. Somehow you and John could hide your relationship for more than a year. His lifestyle, his bonds with the gang were making you question the possibility of your fine peaceful life together one day. And the fact that Mr. Marston never protested against these dreams of yours, was inspiring a warm feeling in your heart.
“So when do you want to leave?” “Around half past nine, it must be almost dark.” “You sure you don’t want me to escort you there?” “No-no, there’s no need for such sacrifice,” you giggled. Your dad gave you a delicate smile and sipped from his cup.
*** There was nowhere to rush now, when the father approved your little prairie voyage, so the rest of the day you spent in the garden behind the house. The territory of the ranch was quite big but the main part of your property rendered suitable land for agriculture. A small piece of it was gifted to you in order to plant flowers there. A lot of seeds were bought from Mrs. Anderson's, and sometimes you even brought her some of your own for sale. Roses of any kind and size, some tiger lilies and peonies- that all made your flower garden look great.
The closer to the time, the more excited you were. You dressed in a shirt and trousers with boots, with a thin fur jacket - for the night ride it was the best option - and took a creamy pink rose to put it in your hair once you are beyond the fence. You went down to find your father and say him goodbye.
“Dad, you here? I’m leaving!”
You looked into the living room, expecting to see him there with a book or at the table, writing another business letter, but it was empty. Then she heard a noise from the second floor and saw your father on the staircase.
“Already going?” “Yes, it’s high time. I’ll do my best to come back before dawn!” “What are you doing to your old man, young lady!” he laughed, making his way down the stairs to give his daughter an embrace. “Don’t worry, I will be fine, I promise. Please, you should think about your heart, papa,” you smiled widely, hugging him in an answer. “Be careful, my dear.” “I will,” you waved with your hand.
*** You almost approached the meeting point, when you felt your horse getting worrisome and saw the skies turning dark quickly. Rains in this area were starting as fast as they finished and you could only wonder “why now?”. Deep dark heavens didn’t condescend to the answer, so you just rubbed your legs in disappointment and continued riding to find a hideout before the first raindrops. You purposely avoided the Thieves Landing, so there were not many placed to hide from the rain on her way. During your and John's last meeting some days ago you decided to meet in the woods in West Elizabeth where there was a perfect spot upon the cliffs to watch the grand river from a distance, where not a single soul could disturb them.
Suddenly she heard a horse neighing then she saw a rider coming from behind the hill. At first you were dismayed as you didn’t have any weapon, but a moment later you recognized a familiar figure.
“Hey, sweetheart, isn’t it dangerous for such a pretty lady to ride alone at night?” then a low laughter followed.
When John’s horse got closer, you couldn’t help but resent:
“You scared the hell out of me! I thought it was a gangster who tracked me down.” “Well, actually I am a gangster, you see!”
As he hoped, your frustration was softened by his silly joke. It always gave him a warm feeling, because his sense of humor left a lot to be desired, but you always found it funny.
His horse drew level with yours, and he leaned down to kiss you, grinning when he saw how modestly you hid your smile.
“Oh no, y\n, do not hide this beautiful smile from me!”
You raised your head and looked at the man. His hand reached out to you and gently touched your chin, leaving a deep kiss on your lips.
“How was the road? Got without troubles?” asked John, picturing the way from the ranch to this point in his head. “As long as troubles don’t follow me - it’s fine by me. Why?” “It’s nothing really. On the way here I saw some gentlemen, heading west.”
John looked up in the sky and his eyebrows got together as he noticed how lightly you were dressed and how the sudden gust made your hair fly. “I know an old abandoned household not far from here. If we move right now, we can reach it before the storm.”
“I feel that something worries you.” “No-no, that’s totally fine,” he replied, taking a last look in the direction you came from.
After a while you finally reached the mansion that John was talking about. In real life it turned out to be bigger and more of a manor than “an old abandoned house”. Suddenly the skies split up in two by bright lightning, then a remote thunder hit your ears. You shuddered. What got into you? You were never afraid of thunder or darkness but this time something was scratching your heart with little iron claws.
You didn't notice that John had already dismounted, came over to you and put his hand on your leg, gently running it up and down.
“We going? Or you prefer to stay under the rain?” “Ah? Yeah,” with these words you tried to get down from the horse, only to end up in his arms, as he readily caught you up. You felt your heart beat faster against his chest, so you even wondered if he felt it or not, when you saw a dorky smile on his face.
“You’re so beautiful,” he whispered. That, obviously, was not the most non-banal compliment, but he couldn’t help but admire your features and the flower in your hair, which so perfectly accentuated the color of your eyes. John didn’t let you stand on the ground and carried you all the way to the mansion.
When you entered the building, you stood on the floor and looked around. Tall walls were covered in old, almost destroyed by dampness, dull red wallpapers. You walked around the room and stopped next to the beautiful, probably, handmade sofa. John walked up to you and cuddled you from behind. His hand traced along your stomach and slid to your leg. You felt his warm breath on your neck. You turned around and kissed his jawline, moved up to the lips. He answered with a deep, passionate kiss. Then, with a sharp movement, he lifted you up and put you down, pinning down onto the couch.
*** “John?” “Yeah?” his voice sounded low and lazy. “I need to tell you something.” “I’m all ears, sweetheart.” “Do… Do you love me?” you felt how your cheeks were becoming hot. You also realized how silly this may sound, but you couldn’t take your words back.
John looked down at you lying on top of him and thoughtfully twirled a lock of your hair around his finger.
“Of course, princess. Why’d you ask?”
You were not sure how to reply so you didn’t rush to look in his eyes.
“You remember my father? Mr. y\sn.” “I’ve seen him in the town once. But never after that. Is that about him? Did anything happen?” “No, everything is fine. I just wanted to ask if… Would you come for a family dinner tomorrow? I’d introduce you to my father…»
He kept silent for a while. So you started to feel nervous and asked yourself why you even initiated that conversation. But then he answered:
“I’m not in my best shape to show up in higher society, you know..”
Again you looked up at him. Then smiled and gently touched his cheek, fingertips slowly stroking his fresh scars.
“I absolutely love your current shape, John.”
You felt him pressing you against his chest closer, rubbing a little invisible patterns on your bare back.
“It would be a great pleasure to come, but… You sure your father would enjoy my company? Because I’m not sure at all.”
Now it was your turn to make a pause.
He chuckled:
“Let it be.” “So will you come tomorrow?” “I’ll be there. I promise.”
The second you heard that, you felt like a huge rock got down from your shoulders, finally letting you breath.
You spent some more hours together in each other's embrace.
*** You were sitting on the doorsteps when you heard a noise from behind the barn. You didn’t expect John to come so soon and also why he didn't choose an open road to the ranch. After a long talk your father agreed to have dinner all together, so there was no need to sneak. The next moment you saw two riders, coming around the corner, your eyes got wider. Suddenly you heard the sound of a cocked gun to your left and shuddered.
“Hello, ma’am. Mind if I come in?”
You looked at the source of the sound and saw a middle aged man with shirt red hair and a whisker. You never saw him before, but you had no doubt that he was some gang leader. His hazel eyes were looking cold at you and it seemed obvious that an argument was not an option - a weapon pointed at you was a thing to be scared of.
“Move,” he ordered.
Two riders who were supposed to divert attention got closer, and you recognised two customers from the shop a week ago. Their leader with a rifle repeated in low tone:
“Go.”
You followed the order without saying a word. Men entered the house after you.
“Tie her up. I don’t like her sight, and I don’t want any surprise.”
Three more men entered the house and God knows how many of them left outside. One of the newcomers took off a rope and tied your hands up - you felt a slight pain caused by rough material.
“Good. And now, Mr.(y\sn),” he turned to your dad, “let’s talk.” The ginger man made an inviting gesture. You looked at your father and saw fear in his eyes, but he was acting totally cool and calm. Two men, standing next to the door, were holding rifles at the ready. Your dad nodded and went to the kitchen, followed by the ginger man.
You stayed alone in the living room, other gangsters were standing outside. You didn’t hear the conversation and had no idea about the reason for this attack, so you focused on the rope. An attempt to get rid of it has proven unfruitful, so you looked around to find any tool.
When you were about to stand up and search the desk drawers, a loud shot rang out behind the window. You saw three gangsters running out from the kitchen, swearing and shouting curses. You carefully approached the window and looked out. A splash of bright red blood covered the window glass and you staggered back, breathing heavy and fast. You heard a familiar voice from the distance:
“Don’t hide, cowards! Are you afraid of just one man?” taunting his enemies was so much like John.
You already started to worry - what if he would have changed his mind and would never showed up? You were happy that he appeared, and did it right in time. The sounds of battle continued unabated, and you thought that now was the best chance to get to the kitchen. The moment you were already next to the door your sight faced a dark shadow suddenly appeared in the doorway. You looked up and with a horror recognised the ginger man. You wanted to step away, but he grabbed you faster than you could blink.
“Let me go!” you tried to escape this tight grip but he was stronger.
You saw your father making an attempt to hit the bastard, but he didn’t seem to even notice that. He turned around and knocked Mr.(y\sn) down on the floor with his revolver.
“You son of a bitch! You will regret this!” you shouted at him. That was not a wise thing to do, but seeing him hurting your relative made you mad in a second.
“Language, lady,” the gangster chuckled, making an effort to hold you still, as you were kicking furiously, “Relax. I won’t hurt you,” his left, spare of a gun palm touched your cheek.
You were breathing heavily. “Where are you, John» you thought. Another one shot rang out louder , and you heard a voice screaming curses. For seconds you couldn’t hear anything from the outside. All outlaws were probably dead or wounded. But three gangsters were still inside the house - one behind the door corner, two others were next to the windows.
“C’mon, be a good girl,” said the gang leader and pulled you after him. Together you returned into the living room and the man stood behind a small purpur sofa, facing the doorway - the revolver at the ready. You couldn’t see your father was sitting beneath the wall, holding his hand on the forehead, a thin blood line was going down the temple.
The sound of shooting was getting closer, you heard how two or three bullets hit the wall. If earlier the gang leader was a picture of self-confidence, now this confidence of his started fading away. You kept quiet just continuing to fidget slightly.
The minutes seemed endless but the voice ripped you out of your thoughts:
“Hey mister, let the girl go. You don’t want problems, believe me!” “What about you taking your cowboy ass out of here, now?” “I’ll let you live if you free her.” “Put your weapon on the floor so I can see it and step inside. Or I'm gonna shoot this pretty face.”
John hesitated but then followed the order and put the rifle on the floor, slowly pushing it inside.
“I’m coming in. Don’t shoot.”
You felt how the ginger man swallowed loudly. He was nervous. You saw John entering. His right hand was close to body, another one slightly aside, demonstrating that he was disarmed. The gangster revolver was following the cowboy as he was approaching. He said something else, but you already stopped listening. You didn't have time to think that it could be dangerous but suddenly you kicked him hard on the leg with the heel.
Then everything happened too fast. You didn’t notice how John took out a gun with his right hand and shot right between the gangster’s eyes.
“John!”
He rushed toward you, held your tied hands and hurried to untie them with his hands shaking.
“Shh-shh, you are safe, y\n, you are safe now, everything is fine,” he whispered.
Once you were free, he pressed you against him tightly, burying his face in your hair. You crossed your hands behind his back.
“You came!” “How could I not come?” he looked down at you, cupping your cheeks, and kissed you gently.
You hardly kept a smile back. You two remained this way for a couple of minutes until your breath became calm and quiet. You were too overwhelmed with emotions that you didn’t even see a bloody wound on his shoulder.
“Oh no, your arm! You are hurt!”
“It’s just a scratch, baby,” he smiled at you, clumsily hiding a pleasure of you being so lovely and cute, and worrying that much about him. “Let’s help your dad,” said John and kissed your hand.
He stepped aside holding your hand in his and headed to the corridor. Your father was already back on foot and, when he turned to you, you saw an expression of relief on his face.
“Oh, you are safe, my dear girl, thank God!” you ran towards the oldman and hugged him.
John was standing a couple of steps aside with his head slightly bent down and a faint smile on his lips, leaning on one leg, left hand on his side. Only now you noticed that he was dressed not casually, but as festive as possible.
Mr.(y\sn) looked at John and you saw respect in his eyes. He approached the cowboy and held out his hand in order to shake in gratitude.
“To my knowledge, our hero must be John Marston,” he gave a fast glance in your direction, “you saved our lives, young man. I can never thank you enough for that.”
John shaked your father’s hand with a friendly smirk.
“Don’t worry, Mr.(y\sn). That was my duty to protect unarmed people from this bunch of bastards.”
“Well, don’t you mind going to the kitchen? Everything was prepared an eternity ago. Do you like whiskey, Mr. Marston?”
You came a little closer to them to be a part of a talk too.
“Sure, sir.”
Your father went away, and John softly touched your waist to let you go first.

Just Let Me Go - A. Burakovsky
Word Count: 2.2k
Warnings: swearing & mentions of cheating. lots of angst.
Summary: Andre had cheated on you on a roadtrip. Now he was home and it was time to confront him about how he had broken your heart.
Now with a follow-up part!
~~~
Three days ago, you would’ve said you were the luckiest person in the world.
Three days ago, everything changed.
Three days ago, you found out your boyfriend of two years had cheated on you.
You had met Andre shortly after he arrived in Denver. You were born and raised in Denver, attending the local university too, but that year you’d finally moved out of your parents’ house to live with some friends. You’d been shopping in Whole Foods, trying to kickstart a health kick that your housemates all swore they would stick to as well, and as you rounded the corner to find some sweet potatoes, your eyes had landed on an incredibly hot guy looking incredibly confused.
*
“What’s next?” you muttered under your breath as you scanned your shopping list, “Sweet potatoes!”
As you walked into the next aisle, you couldn’t help but slow down a little to stare at the person standing in front of you. Gods he was hot. Tall, great arms, beautiful curls…and a truly adorable pout on a very handsome face. Damn.
No, cute boys are not interested in girls who look like they just rolled out of bed, you grumbled to yourself. Just leave the curly-haired angel-boy to his confusion.
But as you walked past him to get to your sweet potato destination, he turned around, eyes lighting up with hope. Oh god.
“Hi! Um, can you help me?”
Oh god. Cute accent on cute boy. But you found yourself smiling, and nodded.
“I can try,”
The guy laughed, gesturing you towards him, so you walked to his side, heart beating just that little bit faster.
“What’s the problem?” you asked, trying to gain back a little more control of yourself.
“My nutritionist suggested I eat some celeriac...but I can’t find it and I don’t know what it looks like,” he said, smiling helplessly.
You laughed softly, pulling out your phone, starting to type.
“Why don’t you just…not buy it?”
The cute guy pouted. “Because then she’ll know that I didn’t understand when I said that I did?”
You couldn’t help but laugh again, and the guy smiled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment. Ah there it is!
“Here,” you said, showing him your phone, “That’s a celeriac,”
The guy grimaced, making you laugh again.
“That is not what I expected,” he said, laughing as well. “But I appreciate your help,”
“You’re welcome,” you shrugged,
“Maybe I could take you out for coffee sometime to say thank you?” he asked shyly, biting his bottom lip.
Oh wow. You weren’t expecting that. But how could you say no to that?
“Sure, but it might help if you told me your name first,” you grinned, unable to stop yourself from flirting a little.
The cute guy grinned back. “I’m Andre,”
*
And that was that. That coffee date had turned into another coffee date, and a dinner and another dinner, until he asked you to be officially his only a month in. He’d swept you off your feet and you had fallen quickly, you knew that.
And you were happy. So happy. And up until three days ago, you thought he was happy too.
But it looks like you were wrong.
Andre had been away for just over a week, on a roadtrip with his team down to the three California teams. Three days ago, he played against LA, scoring twice, including the game winning goal. Damn that had been an amazing game – you’d even gone over to Mel Landeskog’s house with some of the other ladies to all watch it together. You’d all stayed for a few drinks afterwards too, nothing crazy, just enjoying the celebration together, and you’d left in an Uber with the promise of texting them when you got home so they knew you’d arrived safely.
But when you pulled out your phone to text Mel as you walked into your house, you had a flurry of text messages from your housemates, as well as other friends too. Messages which all contained the same photos. Andre was in a club, with another girl. Kissing another girl. You didn’t realise you had frozen in your doorway, until your three housemates were suddenly around you, all fluttering and flapping.
“He…what?”
You just burst into tears, and your housemates had taken over from there, one of them bundling you to the sofa, while the other grabbed blankets and icecream. Another girl. Another girl. Another girl. Andre had cheated?
You could barely breathe, barely process what was happening. Andre had cheated on you. Andre had kissed another girl in public, and everyone knew. Andre had cheated?
The worst part was, your last boyfriend had cheated too, also publicly, also with a pretty blonde. And Andre knew about it, because you’d both been open with your past relationships, telling each other everything. He knew how much your cheating ex had hurt you, how humiliated you had been, how devastated that betrayal was. And now…he’d done exactly the same thing. Andre had cheated?
And that was three days ago. He was due to arrive back from the roadtrip today. You hadn’t spoken to him since that night. Hadn’t spoken to anyone to be honest, outside of your housemates. There was no way they didn’t know, not with the social media explosion. It was so embarrassing, and you didn’t want to show your face. And you sure as hell weren’t there waiting for him at the airport. Not a chance.
From: Andre
Hey I’m back! Are you home? I haven’t heard from you!
You scoffed under your breath. Yeah no shit he hadn’t heard from you.
To: Andre
Yeah. I’m home.
His next message didn’t take long.
From: Andre
Oookay, can I come over then? I miss you!
How dare he.
Did he really think everything was okay? Did he really think you didn’t know?
You could feel the anger rising in you all over again. No. You were worth more than this. You deserved an explanation before you kicked his ass to the curb.
To: Andre
Sure. Come over whenever.
Your housemates were all out for the evening, and you knew they wouldn’t approve of this. But you needed to do it. And maybe it was best that they weren’t going to be around to see you explode at him. It definitely wasn’t going to be pretty.
It didn’t take long for Andre to arrive. You felt your stomach explode in butterflies as his car pulled into your driveway, but you took a deep breath to keep yourself calm, waiting a few seconds after the doorbell went to open the door.
“Hey Y/N!” Andre said happily, eyes lighting up as he saw you.
Your heart skipped a beat, and you swallowed heavily. How could he act like everything was normal?
“Hey. Coming in?” you asked, trying to keep your voice steady.
“Of course!” he grinned.
But as he ducked his head down to kiss you, you turned your face away, his lips pressing to your cheek instead. You saw him frown, but before he could say anything, you walked away, letting him shut the door behind yourself. He followed you towards the living room, but you just sat on the arm of the sofa, arms crossing over your chest. You couldn’t let yourself just welcome him back like normal. You couldn’t pretend that there was nothing wrong. You just couldn’t.
“I’ve missed you! I swear this roadtrip felt so long,” Andre said, smiling expectantly.
“Yeah it felt long to me too,” you said shortly.
His smile dimmed a little. You could tell Andre was just getting more confused, but that was only making you madder.
“Did you want to go out for dinner tomorrow night?” he asked hopefully, “Landy recommended this great place he took Mel to last w-”
“What was her name?” you asked, interrupting him.
“W-What?”
“What was the name of the girl in that club in LA? Red dress, blonde hair? You were wearing that blue shirt I bought you,” you said, voice calm and steady, although all you wanted to do was scream.
“I…I don’t know what you mean,” Andre stuttered, brows furrowing in confusion.
But you just shook your head, laughing in disbelief.
“Don’t lie to me! I saw the pictures, Andre! You, that girl, your hands on her hips, her lips on yours. It was all over twitter, Andre. So many people sent me the links. Did you really think I wouldn’t find out that you cheated on me?”
Andre froze, eyes widening. You watched as he opened his mouth, and closed it again, and you shook your head again.
“Wow, you can’t even think of anything else to cover your ass, can you?” you scoffed, clenching your fists as you stood up from the arm of the sofa.
“It was just one kiss,” he blurted.
There. There it was. Strange how his confession didn’t make you feel any better. Instead, it felt like a red-hot knife had slid into your stomach, his words twisting it in agonising pain. But you just pursed your lips, face hard and cold, even if your hands were shaking.
“Just one kiss. Not sure if I can believe that, if you lied to me once already,” you spat.
But Andre shook his head, eyes pleading. “That was the only lie, I swear! Y/N, I swear it was only one stupid kiss,”
One kiss that had been enough to break your heart. A lump rose in your throat, mouth going dry as your eyes filled with tears. You cursed yourself for letting your anger start to crumble, looking away from him as you tried desperately to blink away the tears before they fell.
“I trusted you,” you whispered, your voice betraying you.
Andre’s face crumpled, and he reached a hand out to turn your face back to look at him. “Y/N, älskling…”
“I can’t do this again. I won’t,” you said, interrupting him again, “You know my ex cheated on me, you know how much it hurt…and now you’ve done it too?”
Andre cursed under his breath.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. It was a mistake, just a stupid mistake. I swear, I’ll make it up to you,” he begged
That’s what your ex had said too. But it was all lies. Why would Andre be any different?
So you took a step back away from him, the distance already hurting like a sharp pain. Andre’s eyes widened in shock; you took a deep breath to steady yourself.
“I am done. What you did broke my heart. I thought you loved me, and I can’t trust that you won’t do this again. I can’t trust you. So I am done,”
Oh God. There it was. You’d said it, you’d actually said it. Why did it have to hurt so badly?
“This can’t be the end,” Andre whimpered, reaching a hand out towards you, “Please don’t leave me,”
But you took another step backwards, lips pressing together briefly as you tried to compose yourself, eyes filling with tears again.
“It is, Andre,” you said, voice shaking, “I can’t do this anymore. I can’t trust that you won’t cheat on me again, that you won’t lie to me again. Please, just let me go,”
But Andre squared his shoulders, shaking his head, confusing you.
“No,”
“No?”
Andre scowled slightly. “No, I’m not letting you go. I fucked up, I know that. I fucked up so badly and I will do whatever it takes for you to forgive me, even if that means giving you some space. But I’m not giving up on us,”
Tears sprung to your eyes, your breath catching in your throat. Andre’s scowl softened as he took in your shaking frame, how you were barely holding yourself together. He moved towards you slowly, closing the distance that you’d put between the two of you, and gently rested his hands on your shoulders. You froze, making Andre freeze as well, but something inside you wouldn’t let you push his hands off. And with that, you could see the hope that entered Andre’s eyes.
“I love you, älskling, and I am so so sorry. I know you’re so mad at me and I get it. I hurt you. I fucked up. So I’m going to go home and give you the space that you need. But I swear, I’m going to make this up to you,”
You swallowed heavily as his thumbs rubbed back and forth over your shoulders, not sure what to say. He was right, you were so mad. Your body still thrummed with the hurt, the betrayal, the humiliation. But…
“I don’t know if I can…”
“Don’t finish that thought?” Andre blurted desperately, “Just…I’ll go. And you can be mad at me all you want. And tomorrow I’ll bring us breakfast and we can talk? Please?”
What were you supposed to say to that?
Andre saw the hesitation on your face, and squeezed your shoulders gently before dropping his hands. He pressed a soft kiss to your forehead, making your breath catch in your throat in a sob.
“Andre…”
“I love you, Y/N. I’ll see you tomorrow,” Andre said, smiling sadly.
I love you too.
But you didn’t dare say it out loud, in case you broke down entirely. “O-Okay. Tomorrow,”
Andre let out a shaky breath as you agreed, pressing another kiss to your forehead before walking towards the door, not turning his back on you the whole way, making you laugh in spite of the situation. He sent you a hopeful smile as he opened the door, eyes not leaving your face until the door closed behind him.
And with that, the last of your strength left you, and you slid to the ground, tears finally falling.
caught in the moment
Tsukishima Kei x fem!reader
𝕤𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕤 𝕞𝕒𝕤𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕝𝕚𝕤𝕥 - 𝕟𝕖𝕩𝕥
[a/n: yes yes yes!! Thank you for requesting anon, I hope you don’t mind but I’m going to make this a multiple part fic...this was a very inspiring prompt 🥺 ugh just look at him :(( I luv this boy so much ❣️I feel like this is cannon Tsukki behavior, he would definitely go too far with teasing the person he likes since he’s so emotionally unavailable sometimes. This actually has an angsty ending but it will get fluffy, I promise. I hope this isn’t too bad...I’m not super cofident with how it came out. Anyways, here you go! enjoy! -yours truly, bunnyy -`ღ´-]
Being the team manager of a bunch of highly energetic boys was definitely a challenge. Thankfully, you weren’t alone. Having Kiyoko and eventually Yachi by your side. You joined once school had started up seeing that you had used to play volleyball in middle school. A very promising wing spiker that was rumored to do very well, possibly even play in pro teams. That all changed in your last game of the season. You had landed a bad spike that was easily received. Once you had landed back on the court, distracted by your loss, you landed very wrong and injured your knee. You had slowly recovered with painfully long hours of physiotherapy but you had to always wear a brace on your right knee just to keep it stable. You hadn’t played volleyball since. You desperately wanted to but you were afraid to mess up again. So you decided to ease back into the sport by being a team manager. Then, you met him.
Tsukishima Kei.
He was a big, big, big pain in your ass. Especially after Coach Ukai came on board. He had learned of your success as a wing spiker and occasionally as a middle block, and had you help out Tsukishima and Hinata. Hinata was ecstatic, he didn't mind since he used to practice with the ladies from the community center but the same couldn’t be said about Tsukishima.
He scoffed and asked how a shrimp could teach him how to block. You quickly shut him up when you had successfully blocked out one of Asahi’s spikes. That didn’t mean he was compliant. He was far from it. Always putting in the bare minimum and it irked you to no end...but, yes there’s a but, there was times where you could see how happy he was to have gotten a good block. His expression didn’t really show it but it was all in the eyes.
Oh how you could get lost in those pools of gold.
He definitely took notice. He wouldn’t admit it but, he admired you greatly. He knew about what happened in middle school. He saw the limp in your step.He also saw you practicing with Hinata and the third years during lunch or after practice. He hated how inferior he felt around you. Despite being permanently injured, you had a smile on your face. No matter how many times you had to repeat basic instructions for setting up to block, you still believed in him. You smiled when he accomplished something, even if it was something done with minimal effort and you tell him, ‘See, I knew you could do it!’ He hated it, not really, but he did. You were also very attractive. Adorable eyes and smile, a dangerously enticing body, and sharp tongued. He thought it was hot that you could keep up with his wit.
Then it started happening. His heart would beat faster whenever you smiled at him. It would beat wildly when your shoulder brushed against his arm. He would feel fuzzy and warm at your praises. Sugarawa had taken notice to the longing glances you both shared when the other wasn’t looking, the blush that would tint your cheeks when the tall blonde would lean down to tease you. So, of course, he told Asahi and Daichi. The captain just shook his head. Of course he was intrigued but it was none of his business. Asahi felt the same but he was definitely more open to fan-boying over the two first years.
Tsukishima had also realized that he didn’t like when someone flirted with you. Whether it was Tanaka and Noya messing around or what he was scowling at in the current moment.
You were blushing and stuttering because of Nekoma’s captain. Rooster head was wooing you with a copious amount of flirty remarks and compliments. Along with that owl headed loud mouth from Fukurodani. You had caught the eye of many during the summer training camp. Especially when you walked into gym #3 in those spandex shorts and a Karasuno pull over.
“O-Oh!” You had squeaked, “I didn’t think anyone would be here.”
“And why are you here so late, chibi-chan?~” And that’s when it started. He had just come in for his towel and was asked to stay and practice and you walked in before he could answer.
“So? What do you say Tsukishima?” Bokuto turned to the blonde who sighed.
“We just had a whole day of training, why would I want to practice more?” He took off his glasses and cleaned them with his towel.
“That’s a great idea! You could learn a lot from these three, Tsukishima-kun! More than you could from me.” You had clasped your hands together, grinning. Akaashi seemed a bit taken aback that you had even noticed him.
“What do you mean? Are you a coach?” Bokuto had leaned down a bit, his face a bit too close to yours.
“W-well no b-but I help him and Hinata practice their blocking.”
“You help them with blocking?” Kuroo was intrigued, if you were helping them then maybe you were pretty good.
“Not well enough.” Tsukishima scoffed.
“Yeah well maybe you’d learn something if you put in the effort.” You retorted, arms crossed and eye brow quirked.
“Well since you think you’re such hot stuff, why don’t you take my place and practice. I’m heading to bed.” You rolled your eyes at his words and that’s what you did. You explained your situation and you practiced in a 2v2. You and Bokuto vs Kuroo and Akaashi.
After a couple of rounds, you all sat around to cool down.
“So why haven’t you joined the girls team? You’d do really well there.” Akaashi asked as he gulped down some water.
“Well, I-I actually don’t know. I haven’t really thought about it.” You shrugged. You weren’t exactly lying, you hadn’t really thought about it much.
“Liar.” Kuroo chuckled, a knowing smirk on his lips. “It’s because of that Tsukishima jerk, right?”
“What-what’re you talking about?”
“Oh come on! I saw the little looks you give him. How he gets a little flustered when you praise him during a game. I’d say that you have a crush on him.” Your reaction was priceless. Wide eyes, furious pink across your cheeks and mouth opening and closing like a fish.
“Oh ho ho! You have a crush!” Bokuto chuckled loudly. “(Y/n) and Tsukishima sitting in a tree! K.I.S.S.S.I.N.G!”
“Leave the poor girl alone, Bokuto.”Akaashi spoke in a bored tone, smacking the boy upside the head.
“Akaashi!”
And thus started the endless teasing. During day training and the extra training in gym #3. Tsukishima didn’t like it one bit. You were paying less attention to him and more to the two over-zealous captains. He had a grimace all through breakfast when Kuroo called you over to join Nekoma for a change. He watched as you happily chatted with the team, laughing at jokes, blushing at Kuroo’s shameless flirting, even getting Kenma to look away from his phone and have a conversation about Animal Crossing, exchanging info so he could invite you to his island.
He was pissed, and it didn’t go unnoticed.
“What’s wrong Tsukki?” Yamaguchi asked as he sat right in front of his scowling friend, playing with the food on his tray.
“(Y/n)! Is that all you’re eating? Here have some more grilled fish!” His scowl grew deeper as he watched Lev place pieces of fish in your bowl of rice, not missing the blush on your face when you stuttered out a thank you.
“Nothing Yamaguchi, I’m fine.” He basically growled as he pushed his seat out, forcefully picking up his tray and throwing out the untouched food, making a point to slam the door open and marching out.
“I wonder what’s gotten into Tsukishima.” Daichi frowned as he took a seat with Suga and Asahi.
“I think I know what.” Suga had a sly look on his face as he gestured over to you and Lev. The both of you conversing excitedly about something. “I think he’s jealous because a certain first-year manager is getting attention from the other teams.” The silver headed setter giggled. A look of realization washing over their features.
That jealous anger had definitely affected his playing. His usually calculated movements were off and he was awfully distracted. They had lost match after match and those punishment dives took a toll on everyone. You had taken it upon yourself to convince the managers that it was a good time to cut up the watermelon that was donated by a parent. They quickly agreed, the thought of a sweet and cool slice of the fruit enticing them as well.
“Alright boys! Break time!” They all had sped over to grab a slice of watermelon from their respective manager.
“Thank you, (y/n)-san.” Daichi smiled. The others following in suit, thanking you and grabbing a slice of the fruit.
“Thanks shrimp.” Tsukishima plucked the last piece from your outstretched hand, his fingers brushing against yours and smirking at the blush he caused. “What’s wrong? Do I make you nervous?” He leaned in closer, so close that if you had moved an hair closer, your noses would have brushed.
“Pfft...as if.” You turned away, leaving him amused as he stalked away
Training had ended on another sour note, chests heaving after another round of of punishment dives. You changed into shorts and a t-shirt again and made your way back to the gym.
“Hey Hey! You ready for more training?” Bokuto jumped excitedly. You guys had been in the middle of another set when Lev came bounding in, followed by Hinata and Kageyama.
You decided to take a break and help Lev with his receiving.
“Lev, you’ve gotta bend your knees lower. Loosen up, you’re too stiff.” You instructed from beside him, lowering yourself as an example.
“That invitation to train with us is still open, you know?” Bokuto’s words made you perk up and turn to the doors, and sure enough, there stood the tall blonde.
“I just came in for my shoes.” A fake smile painted his lips as he scratched the back of his neck with his free hand, meeting your eyes before you quickly turned away.
“WHAT?! You’re turning down training with the captains of powerhouses? No fair!” Hinata whined.
Tsukishima ignored him completely. “What’s wrong (y/n)? Did they finally get annoyed with you?” He scoffed.
“N-no...I’m just taking a break.” You spun the ball in your hands.
“I’m sure. I mean, I bet those short legs of yours must get tired easily.” He snickered. No one really laughed, they were unsure if he was actually insulting you or if he was playing around.
“My legs are perfectly fine. Even if they are short, I definitely jump way higher than you.” You smirked. You had grown accustomed to his teasing and to take his words with a grain of salt. But this time, your words seemed to have hit right in his inferiority complex.
“Then why’d you ever stop playing? You’d be doing us a favor by joining a team so I don’t have to hear your irritating complaints about how much I suck but I guess that’d be hard with a bum knee. I mean, you can barely even walk without limping.” He hadn’t really thought about the word vomit that was leaving his mouth. He was just letting out his anger and jealousy. He didn’t notice that you started crying. He had gone too far. His eyes widened ever so slightly.
“(Y/n)...” Lev asked carefully, placing a hand on your quivering shoulders.
“You know why I complain, Tsukishima?” The fact that your voice was so steady and venomous sent shivers down his spine. “I complain because I care about you! I know you can do better than how you’re doing now. I also know that if you don’t put in more effort, Ukai is taking you out of the starting line up! And I know it’s going to hurt me seeing your potential go to waste because I-I...” The stale silence that followed made everyone uncomfortable. No one knew what to do. Comfort you or reprimand Tsukishima.
They watched as you let the ball drop from your hands and you slumped to the exit. “I’m sorry for causing a scene. I’m going to bed. Goodnight everyone.” Kuroo flinched at how broken you sounded. He couldn’t blame you. The guy you liked had basically just called you annoying and teased you about a major insecurity. They watched as you left the gym, shoulder shaking as more tears made their way down your cheeks.
“Not cool man.” Was all Kuroo had to say as he followed you out. Concern clearly etched on his face.
“Tch...whatever.” He gritted his teeth and walked out before hearing Yamaguchi call for him and charge in his direction.
“(Y/n)...”Kuroo called out to you. You were leaning against the outside of the gym, hand clamped over your mouth. He approached you with open arms, an embrace being exactly what you needed. You slumped against him and buried your face into his chest. “For what it’s worth, I think you’re amazing.” You chuckled weakly.
“Thanks Kuroo...”
Back with Tsukishima, Hinata decided to scold him about how he should be more careful with his words and how he should go apologize. As much as he disliked the orange haired idiot, he agreed that he owed you an apology. So he made his way behind the gym, peering around the corner when he heard Kuroo talking.
“There’s no need to cry. Those ugly tears aren’t fitting for a beautiful girl like you.” He cupped your cheeks and wiped your tears away. Unlike compliments before, there was no playful tone in his voice.
Your heart thumped wildly in your chest. There was no doubt that you had feelings for Tsukishima but having someone as handsome as Kuroo inches from your face was definitely making you feel some type of way. You bit your lip as you looked into his eyes, they were sincere. Then looking down at his lips. His eyes searched yours before he noticed where your gaze was. His own eyes looking at your plush lips before meeting your gaze once more. His thumb ran over your bottom lip and nudged it from its place, stressed between your teeth. You both leaned forward, caught in the moment, lips meeting in the middle. Melding together and moving in sync. Your hands moving around his shoulders and into his hair, his arms pulling you closer into him.
Tsukishima’s heart stopped once your lips met, looking away when neither of you pulled away from each other. His heart hurt. Next to being deceived by his brother, this really hurt him. He thought you had liked him. Was he wrong? Had he gotten his hopes up? He frowned at the confusion and betrayal that filled his body. Walking back to the dorms with a heavy heart and slumped shoulders.
When you and Kuroo had breathlessly pulled away, realization set in.
“This isn’t-I’m sorry, I don’t...I uhmm...”
“Relax. It’s fine. I know you don’t feel anything for me. And after that, I know I don’t either.” He scratched the back of his neck.
“Excuse me! Are you saying I’m a bad kisser?” You gasped in an over exaggerated manner. Hand over your heart.
“Yeah, pretty much. In fact, that’s probably one of the worst kisses I’ve had.”
“Oh ha ha.” You laughed flatly. A slightly awkward silence followed. “We’re good right?” You asked unsure.
“Of course we are, chibi-chan, I know you have goo-goo eyes for that big mouth idiot.”
“Just how confused are you? I like Tsukishima, not Bokuto.”
“Oh my god. Goodbye. I thought you were going to bed. It’s definitely past your bed time.” He ran a hand down his face in playful annoyance. Sighing when you were out of hearing range. “You really are something, chibi-chan.”
Back inside the gym, Hinata was ranting about his teammate.”I don’t understand how he could be so dense.”
“You’re one to talk.” Kageyama snickered, although it went completely over his head. “But I guess he realized that he was rude and went to apologize.” Kuroo froze.
“He what?”
“He went to apologize.” Hinata repeated.
“When?”
“What’s wrong?” Bokuto cocked an eyebrow at his friends abrupt worry.
“Uhh a few minutes ago, I think. He went right around the corner. Why?”
Kuroo groaned and slapped his forehead. “He probably saw it.”
“Saw what?” Lev asked as he absentmindedly tossed the ball from hand to hand.
“I kissed (y/n).”
“YOU WHAT?!”
"You have no idea who you are up against… I'm a god!" He roared, black hair tickling his neck as he dodged a sharp shred of reality-shaking energy. The young woman in front of him stared right into his soul with her incredibly piercing eyes as she strode closer with a threatening elegance that made him shudder as he stumbled backwards.
"It is the gods who created mortals, and who taught them how to fear. I am who created the gods." Her velvet voice wrapped around his senses as he tripped over a helmet lying on the blood soaked battlefield. He fell backwards, landing first on his butt and then on his back, seeing stars once his head hit the hard ground a little too forcefully for his own good. A brief glimmer of irritation flashed through her eyes, but passed as quickly as it had appeared.
Just as he was about to scramble back onto his feet, she had closed the distance between them and he knew it was over now. It was done, there was nothing he could do but stare up at her with wide, frightened eyes.
In a slowness that bordered on torture, she drew a golden dagger from beneath her bloodied garments, taking her time as she sat down on his torso to keep him pinned to the ground. Not that he could've moved anyway… it was as if she had bewitched him, caught him in the trap that was her beauty, only to finally grand him the honor to find his master at her own hands.
The heavy, sleek metal of her dagger met the heated skin of his neck as she softly drew the blade along his throat, with too little pressure to cause serious harm and yet with too much to leave the skin unharmed. She let out a sigh, a moan that lay on the thin line between alluring and insane, tracing the thin bloody line she had left on his throat with one single finger.
His chest rose and fell faster than the seconds that passed as he couldn't help but watch her, parted lips, breathing in the lethal aura of danger that radiated off her like the sweetest perfume.
His heart skipped a beat as she lifted her fingers to her lips, licking his dark crimson blood off her fingertips as her eyes remained fixed on his. Maybe the line between alluring and insane was even more narrow than he had known…
The dagger lay heavy against his throat yet again, and he closed his eyes with a wicked grin of his own. "Do it, darling… I am ready to meet my creator."
He didn't see it, but heard it clear as day, as night in your sweet and gentle voice, the same grin, the same twisted sense of humor. "Oh, but sweet god of mine… You already have."
_______________
"Cut!" A loud voice bellowed through the open air of the current set, followed by an overwhelming silence that was nerve wrecking in its depth. Then a sheer incredible amount of people erupted in chattering and talking. Bright lights came into focus, white reflective screens, fuzzy microphones…
You let out a shivering breath, closing your eyes for a second. That… had been more intense than expected, deeper, more difficult to come back from. Then you gazed down at Tom, your scene partner on whose chest you were still sitting, as he looked at you like a deer in the headlights. A deep blush came onto your cheeks immediately as you moved off his torso as quickly as possible, standing next to his large frame on the ground in awkward silence.
After a second of being overwhelmed by the intensity of the previous scene, you finally offered him a hand to get up, which he took reluctantly at first, but then with certainty. God, that Loki costume was heavy as hell… and Tom was too freaking tall.
After helping him onto his feet, you looked at his overwhelmingly handsome yet stunned face for a second longer, then quickly down to your feet. Slowly you came back to your right mind, becoming Y/n once more instead of your nameless character in the movie.
You'd clearly overdone it with the scene, you realized that only now… oh gosh, you'd literally hurt him! Physically cut his real skin with that stupid dagger! Who on earth had deemed it a good idea to give you a real fucking dagger?! Oh no… you'd actually hurt Tom! The cut on his throat was still bleeding a tiny bit, and your lips parted in shock at what you had done. This was your first major movie, and even though you only played a minor character that literally had only this one appearance, you had managed to screw up even that and cut a fellow actor with a dagger. Tom, of all people! The main character of this movie, and the sweetest human being in existence. Going by the unusually loud chattering around you, you had severely screwed up. Did Tom even know your name…? There were so many minor roles in this movie, so many extras… He would need your name in order to make an official complaint.
Your eyes snapped back up to meet his wide ones as your mouth opened and closed a few times, no sound coming out.
"I… I'm so sorry!" You finally breathed as tears welled up in your eyes, threatening to spill down your cheeks in small rivers. Then a swarm of assistants came rushing to his side, tending both to his costume and the small wound you had caused. Everyone was ignoring you for now, everyone but Tom, whose eyes were still fixed on yours intently. You opened your mouth to say something, to apologize over and over again, but by the time your mind had caught on, someone had taken a hold of your arm and dragged you off the current set, and out of Tom's earshot.
"I'm so sorry!" You rambled over and over again, not allowing yourself to cry just yet. "I'm so incredibly sorry! Please, let me talk to Tom… Or at least let me do the scene again, I promise I won't screw up this time!"
Yet, the middle aged assistant remained in silent indifference as he accompanied you to the costume department to get your garments and makeup removed. Only once the two of you reached his destination, he turned around to you once more with a sigh in resignation. "Your job is done, Miss L/n."
"What?" You frowned in irritation as your head spun a million miles a minute. "Am… am I getting kicked out?"
"The director said we're moving on to the next scene while we still have Mr. Hiddleston on set. He asked you to please wait here until further notice." The man looked at you so neutrally that you wondered if he had even been around to witness your disaster of a scene. At least he didn't seem to judge… but your own mind was doing enough of that already for a good dozen of people. Without another word he turned on his heels and headed back to where you had come from, while you tried your best to keep from crying as you stepped into the department.
Honestly, you didn't even care much for the three women working to turn you back into yourself, nor for their attempts at aimless chattering. Your mind was stuck trying to analyze what had happened, when things had taken a turn for the worse… how you could've gone THAT much into character to even turn the simplest scene into… whatever it had become now.
Probably because of Tom. Acting with him was like stepping into an entirely different world where being someone else was so incredibly easy… and being yourself was the hardest thing in existence. Not because you were scared of him, or insecure about yourself, but because you hadn't even spoken to the man in question up until two minutes before your scene. And you probably wouldn't be able to talk to him again, to apologize for what you had done… It wasn't like the extras got to spend a lot of time with the main cast anyhow, but now that you'd hurt him they probably would make sure to not let you close to him ever again.
Gosh, you'd screwed up big time. Nobody would ever give you a role again if the industry got notice of your failure here… Your career would be over before it had even started properly. Maybe your only defense was that they didn't prepare you in acting school, for the overwhelming package that was Tom. That was the poorest excuse ever, and just thinking about him brought a blush onto your cheeks and tears to your eyes. You just wanted to talk to him… to apologize a million times and maybe even get some advice on how to improve your acting so that this wouldn't happen again.
Once you had changed back into your own clothes, once you were ready to leave the role and this movie behind for good, the door was opened and another assistant stuck her head inside. "Is someone called Y/n here?"
"Yeah..." You almost yelled towards her from the other end of the huge hall, wondering just how many people were working on this set. Probably hundreds, at the same time. But this woman was younger than most others, closer to your own age, you saw that as you made your way towards her.
She looked at you with a bright smile. "Wow, YOU are Y/n? I could've guessed… You look all different without your costume and makeup… less scary!"
"Thanks, I guess..." You snorted as you packed up the few belongings you'd left here earlier this morning.
"Oh no, I meant it as a compliment!" She grinned excitedly, clicking her pen a few times too often. "Your scene was absolutely amazing! I was so scared just watching it from afar… but it was also kinda hot, really, I've never seen something like it! I honestly can't wait to see it on the big screen! I think the whole crew was stunned to silence for a moment back there, you scared the living daylights out of them!!!"
"Really?" You frowned at her deeply while a small blush crept onto your cheeks. "You enjoyed the scene?"
"Of course I did! You're an incredible actress! I feel so honored to work with you, even if only this briefly now." She kept grinning as she skipped on her heels in excitement and you couldn't help but give her a small smile in return. Maybe the scene hadn't looked too bad from the outside, after all, and your only fault was that you'd overstepped your boundaries in terms of both creative freedom and with the thing about the dagger… you still felt most wretched about that.
"You flatter me way too much… I think the producers didn't like that I improvised quite a bit. And I think Tom didn't like that I… cut his throat." You said in a twisted sigh as you nodded towards the makeup crew in acknowledgement before stepping outside, next to the nice assistant. "I'm fairly certain that everyone but you hates me now."
"Unlikely." She grinned even more, if that was even possible. "Mr. Hiddleston asked his assistant to ask you to wait in his trailer."
"You're his assistant?" You blurted out in order to keep your mind from registering the rest of the sentence.
"NO! I mean… no. His assistant asked their assistant, and they asked me to find you and tell you. I'm just a directorial trainee." She shrugged with a smile. "No one important."
"That explains it…" You gave her a half smile, and only continued once she frowned in irritation. "It explains why you're talking to me. Everyone else seems to be too important to be bothered with such a minority that is me."
"I'm sure that's not true…" She gave you another encouraging smile, and you found yourself really liking her indeed. Too bad you wouldn't be seeing her again.
"What's your name?" You asked out of sincere curiosity. Maybe once you'd been officially kicked out, you could at least bribe someone on set to get her contact info so you could buy her coffee sometime. For being nice to you, and for making you feel a little better in this moment of despair.
"Oh, I'm Emma." She chuckled. "Basically no one, compared to you guys. Just the girl who's sent to fetch coffee."
"I'm sure you're not no one!" You replied, feeling the odd need to comfort her as well. "Everyone starts out small… Believe me, in no time you'll be a director of your own. I mean at least YOU won't get kicked out for cutting anyone's throat today. You still have an entire career ahead of you! Nobody will want to talk to ME after this..."
"You're too kind, Y/n… For now I can only hope, dream, to move up the career ladder and become some famous actor's personal assistant. And I doubt that you will be fired though. Mr. Hiddleston seems fairly interested in talking to you, once he is done shooting for the day."
"Why?" You asked, a little too slowly for your own liking. While you really wanted to make things right with him, you also couldn't help but wonder why he would want to talk to you, out of all people. He didn't seem like the revenge kinda guy...
"Well, I have no idea. I'm only supposed to accompany you to his trailer now and make sure you have everything you need." She giggled as you followed her through the maze of the trailer city built a little offside the main set. It was still under construction, for this was only the first week of shooting. "Have you talked to him a lot?"
"I haven't talked to him at all outside of the scene." You sighed. "I mean I tried to apologize for what I did, but I didn't get to."
"Looks like you're going to talk to him now. Well, later today." She shrugged again, stopping in front of one of the most plain trailers on the whole ground, unlocking the door and holding it open for you. "He said you're welcome to make yourself at home."
_______________
It was odd at first to be alone in Tom's trailer, and you felt like you were severely intruding in his privacy. But he'd asked you to wait here, and you would not disappoint the man you admired so much yet again. Thus you had the smallest look around, eyes lingering longest on the small collection of books he kept stacked in a dainty shelf. With an unyielding curiosity that fought its way to the front of your mind, you picked out the most worn out looking book and flipped it open on the first page as you sat down on the small couch.
You didn't know how much time passed as you were completely absorbed into the story, the scenes and chapters playing out in your head like a movie on its own. It was so captivating that you completed forgot about the messed up scene, about your worries and about where you were, leaving you raw and open only to the world of the book.
Up until the door was ripped open, making you jump badly and drop the book into your lap with a small gasp. With a start everything came rushing back to you, the fear, the anxiety, the guilt, the request for you to wait here... but the person who was currently staring at you in equal confusion was neither blond nor tall. And definitely not informed that you'd been asked to be here.
"Hi." You blurted out in nervousness, staring at the bald man in the doorway.
"Who are you and what are you doing here? Where's Tom?" He rasped with a deep frown, scanning the trailer with his eyes before they basically dug into your forehead.
"Y/n; reading; I have absolutely no idea." You answered quickly, and he seemed fairly irritated at your answer for a second, then his eyes widened in recognition.
"You're the girl from the battle scene! The one everyone's talking about!" He uttered in surprise. "Almost didn't recognize you without all the makeup."
Once more you blushed upon hearing that for the second time of the day. Being recognized by anyone wasn't something that happened to you… You'd only ever been in very small productions after finishing acting school, and even if people like Tom Holland were roughly the same age as you, you were nowhere near as famous. You doubted you'd ever be. But this guy at least seemed to have seen your scene, and you didn't know if being recognized for THAT was really an achievement.
"Uh, yeah…" You finally managed to say, blushing even more. "That's me. Sorry."
"Sorry for what, dear?" He laughed, shaking his head to himself. "I must say… You did scare the crew quite a bit. And you scared poor Tom a very large bit! Didn't see that coming, and neither did he probably."
You opened your mouth to reply, but yet again didn't find the right words to express how sorry you were for scaring Tom, and everyone else. How incredibly sorry you were for hurting him, for changing the scene without talking about it. So you put on the best half smile you could manage and just looked at the man in hopes that he would leave soon.
"And… You're waiting for Tom?" He asked after a moment of awkward silence, leaning in the doorway as if he owned the place. But who were you to judge, reading Tom's books and all… However you didn't like that he was blocking the only exit, it was making you more nervous by the second.
"Yes." You replied in mostly faked certainty, wondering who exactly he was and what he wanted.
"Are you two… well acquainted?" He inquired further and you weren't sure if you were comfortable with where this conversation was headed.
"No, we… we actually haven't talked to each other much on set. Outside of the scene, I mean." You replied nonetheless, playing nervously with the zipper of your hoodie.
"So… You're not dating or anything? Good… I mean, uhm… Because whew, that scene you put on back there was pretty hot." He shrugged with a nervous laugh. "You… you played the little tease really well."
"I didn't play a tease, I played a goddess." You replied earnestly, giving him a deep frown. "I take my characters very seriously, and you might consider doing the same."
A deep crimson colored his cheeks a short moment later and he looked to the ground, then back at you with an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry, I… I didn't mean to insult you. I was just honestly surprised that someone so young could have such an intense energy on stage."
"I will take that as a compliment, so thank you." You replied politely and returned a small smile. Maybe he was odd, but politeness was just one of the things you had trained yourself to show in any situation, no matter what. In the end, kindness always pays off.
After another short moment of uncomfortable silence, exchanged glances in awkwardness, you picked up the book in your lap once more and the man started pacing back and forth outside, in front of the trailer. The cold wind that blew through the open door chilled you in an uncomfortable way, covering your skin in goosebumps as you tried reading the words on the page… But you couldn't focus with that guy walking up and down outside the door. So your thoughts went back to Tom, to the scene… You wondered if the cut had stopped bleeding by now.
However you didn't get to dwell on these thoughts, or on the cruel emotions that followed, as the velvet voice of none other than Tom rang out to your ears. Immediately your head snapped towards the door, but you could see neither him nor the man who'd been waiting here for his arrival. But you could hear them talking about something you didn't quite understand.
"What are you doing here, Jerry?" That was Tom… So Jerry was the name of the odd chap who had been so ineloquent in telling you that he fancied you.
"David sent me… I'm supposed to let you know that your proposition has been thought through and calculated." He said in a hushed voice that clearly told you that you weren't supposed to hear about this. Obviously that made it all the more interesting.
"And? What do they think about the idea?" Tom inquired, and you could practically hear his frown. You smiled… just because he didn't know you, didn't mean you also didn't know him.
"I don't know what exactly the whole thing is about, they said it's under closure until the whole thing is officially through the books, so don't expect me to give you any information about that… but I was told that after 'serious contemplation', your proposal has been deemed appropriate and will be put into action upon your notice." Jerry said in one single breath and you could hear him breathing heavily afterwards. Weird man.
"That is absolutely amazing!" Tom said with such a joy in his voice that you had to smile as well, despite not having any clue as for what he was excited about. But knowing him happy, for whatever reason, made you feel happy yourself.
Jerry whispered something after that, and you couldn't understand anything but your own name. A second later he excused himself, and Tom came into sight as he stepped through the door and closed it behind himself.
You jumped to your feet immediately, hiding the book in your hands behind your back as you looked at him with a slightly worried expression. You had no idea what to expect…
The cut on his throat was still faintly visible, now that he'd taken off his makeup and costume too. You felt your heart sink upon the sight.
"Hello Y/n…" He smiled at you as he closed the door behind himself and moved to stand in front of you. "I'm very sorry for the long wait, and yet glad you waited for me nonetheless."
"I…" You started, lips parting as you looked at him in a search for the right words. He didn't look angry at all, and it irritated you a great deal. "Of course I waited. You asked me to."
"I did indeed. We didn't get the time to chat before, and I wanted to get to know the woman who made my legs shake." He smiled down at you, then peaked over your shoulder. "What do you have there?"
With a small blush you showed him the book you'd almost finished reading by now. Maybe you should've put it back before he had come here…
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snoop at all! But I was waiting for so long, and started reading… and somehow lost track of time." You confessed, still finding nothing but amusement and happiness in his face.
"It's a great read for sure… One of my favorites." He chuckled softly and your racing heart relaxed a little. Why was he being so nice to you after what you'd done to him? "Would you like some tea?"
"What?" You blurted out, completely irritated.
"Tea… You know, dried herbs and boiling water? I'm making tea." He smirked ever so slightly, moving towards the small kitchenette. "Earl grey or green vanilla?"
"Why are you being so nice to me?!" You asked instead of answering his question, for the tension building up within you was just becoming unbearable. "I hurt you, and I ruined the scene… and you want to make me tea like we're friends."
"I surely hope we can get to the point of being friends soon." He leaned his head to the side with the softest smile. "Now, black or green?"
"Green please." You sighed in resignation, sitting back down on the couch as you watched Tom boiling water and setting up two mugs. Only once he placed your cup on the coffee table and then sat down on the couch next to you, you finally dared speaking your mind once more. "Tom, I'm so incredibly sorry… For just everything! For changing the scene without talking about it first, for just letting them drag me off afterwards and especially for hurting you! I still can't believe they gave me an actual dagger! I'm so sorry, I don't know how I could get so carried away… I'm really, sincerely sorry. Does it hurt much?"
"Please, you don't have to be sorry for anything. It doesn't hurt at all, don't worry. I've had far worse accidents on set." He offered you a reassuring smile that actually fulfilled its purpose in calming you down. "One time, I had Chris punch me in the face in order to make the scene look real. We had to repeat that a couple times… And it hurt way more than the little scratch I got today."
"So you're not angry with me? Not even slightly upset?" Your eyes widened as they were fixed on his curious ones intently. There really was nothing but genuine curiosity and kindness in his face, and it made your skin crawl.
"You almost sound like you want me to be upset." He chuckled, carefully removing his tea bag from the mug and placing it on a saucer. "But I'm most definitely not. I'll have to wear a scarf or a turtleneck for a couple days, but it's winter after all. I'm all good."
You let out a long and quite shaky breath, closing your eyes for a second. Then you moved to follow his example in removing your tea bag from the steaming water.
"You still seem quite distraught…" He commented after a short moment of silence, without a smile this time, but with honest concern. "Is there anything I can do to ease your mind?"
"Well, I'm honestly glad that I didn't hurt you all too much, and that you're not mad at me… but I still screwed up my only scene in the movie. And I need to get accustomed to the idea of getting kicked out now." You replied honestly, finding it oddly easy to talk to him. Really, it was as if he just radiated some enchanting sense of comfort, a magnetic field you couldn't help but respond to.
"Oh dear, you really do think you messed up our scene, don't you?" He asked in a sigh, giving you another smile that made your cheeks flush and your skin burn up.
"I did think so, yeah… but then I had two people telling me that somehow, I scared the entire crew… And that I scared you." You admitted the last part rather quietly, looking down to the tea in your hands.
"Oh, you definitely scared everyone on set! And you really did scare me as well." He laughed, making you look back up at his face. "It was absolutely amazing. I mean, it doesn't happen every day that the director is perfectly happy with the very first take! Especially not with younger actors. That's maybe the biggest compliment he could've given you… not having us redo the scene. It really speaks volumes about the quality of your acting."
Your eyes widened for a second, then you couldn't help but snort in return. "Yeah, sure…" You laughed in sarcasm. "He probably loved me cutting you open with a dagger and going all psycho on you."
"Well, I loved it for sure." He grinned, taking a sip of his tea in amusement. "As Loki and as Tom. But probably for different reasons."
"You…" You started, but the words stopped on your lips as they just parted in honest surprise. At least you didn't blush yet again, like a silly schoolgirl. "You LIKED what I did with the scene? But… it wasn't scripted or anything. I mean you weren't supposed to trip over that helmet, and I wasn't supposed to even come that close to you. Leave alone actually sit on you… oh god, I actually did that. Well, my character did. I kinda let her take the lead a little too much." You groaned, hiding your face in your hands. "I'm sure you'll laugh at me for preparing such an in-depth character for such a minor role…"
"Do you want me to laugh? Because I most definitely could, but that wouldn't be very sincere at all." Tom still smiled at you so fondly that you were slowly believing him that he really did like your performance indeed. "No, in all seriousness, I think your skill is remarkable. You are an amazing actress, and I loved working with you."
"Thank you. Really, it means a lot to me." You finally allowed yourself to smile back. "It has been such a pleasure to work with you too. I mean, I probably wouldn't have done what I did if I hadn't been comfortable with you."
"Well, I'm honestly glad to hear that." He chuckled softly, looking down to his tea now. "And as for the director and the crew, I think they were immensely impressed with your acting as well. Of course, going off script isn't something most newcomers are expected or appreciated to do, but you just did so remarkably well that I think no one will believe you were new to the art in the first place."
"You flatter me way too much." You smiled at him, feeling truly comfortable and appreciated for the first time today. Well, maybe it was the second time you were appreciated. "It's rather easy to shine in your light."
"Now you're the one doing the flattering." He laughed and finally looked at you again with such a joyous twinkle in his eyes that you started grinning involuntarily. Tom was every bit the man you had thought him to be, and even more than that.
"Just telling the truth…" You shrugged. "You're kind and funny and smart AND talented, and I'm…"
"The perfect match for that." He smiled at you in an almost teasing friendliness that only made you grin even more.
"Too bad we only had one single take together. I'm sure we would've had a good time." You sighed, feeling greatly disappointed now that you had been forced to see your scene in a different light. And getting to know Tom wasn't making it any better, the man was freaking amazing. "But I'm sure you have a great deal of nice extras to drink tea with in the future."
Tom rose an eyebrow at you in amusement as he took another sip of his tea, badly hiding his grin with the mug. You closed your eyes for a second, cringing internally at how wrong that last statement had come out.
"Sorry, that didn't really sound like anything I meant to say at all." You groaned, hitting your head against the backrest behind you in annoyance at yourself. "I only meant to say that I won't be coming back, now that my only scene is done. I'm just silly for being sad about it now."
"You're not silly at all! It's always sad to let a character go, especially if one developed it on their own, like you did. Did your character have a name, by the way?"
"Not in the script, no…"
"I read the script, Y/n… I know that. But I would like to know the name you gave the character."
"Yeah… of course." You sighed at your own stupid mind, rolling your eyes at yourself and making Tom chuckle with the small gesture. Well, at least you were amusing him. "I called her Ivy, in my head."
"That's a great name." He replied softly, finishing his tea a moment later. "Ivy and Loki… flows fairly well, wouldn't you say?"
For rest of the afternoon, Tom and you remained sitting on his couch, drinking tea and talking about the movie, about your character development, your previous works… But once the evening rolled around, you also started talking about Tom's and your interests, your hobbies and preferences, anything that came to your minds. Conversation was so easy between you that once you found yourself wondering why he was even bothering to get to know a random minor actress such as yourself, you actually asked him without hesitation.
"You're really intriguing, Y/n. Special. I would like to be your friend." Was all he answered to that, with the brightest smile. So you just let it go and enjoyed the fact that you got to spend time with him.
Yet, once the early evening had made way for late nighttime, you realized that you might actually have to get going. But leaving now meant quite possibly never seeing Tom again, and the thought left a pretty painful sting in your guts, heart and soul. Well… you shouldn't be surprised. He was a top scale celebrity, and you were at the point where even your relatives forgot your name at times. Friendships spanning over such an enormous social gap were rare, if even possible at all.
Tom seemed just as reluctant to let you go, for you could tell he had been enjoying the conversation, your time together, just as much as you had. But once you had gotten up and walked to the door, put on your jacket and taken your bag, he just stood towering in front of you with a kind smile.
"I really enjoyed today. It was a surreal experience to be here, to be in a scene with you, but a very fun one." You smiled back up at him with a bittersweet feeling in your entire being.
"I did too. Seriously. Maybe we will see more of Ivy in the future, who knows… I will see more of you for sure, if you allow me." He grinned and you rolled your eyes with a small smirk and a nod, making him chuckle. "Friends?"
"Definitely friends."
_______________
It had been a week and a half since your rather out-of-this-world-amazing experience on set, when you got a text message from an unknown number, asking you to come to the studios' executive office for a change in your contract.
In the sincere belief that they would cut your payment, now that you'd only been on set for one single day, you decided to wear the most professional dress you owned in hopes to seem somewhat more experienced in these things than you really were. Then you made your way to the office.
Upon your arrival, you were ushered into a conference room full of people you had mostly seen only once before, but never spoken to due to your simple insignificance in this production.
A second after you had taken a seat at the far end of the table, the door opened once more and in strolled Tom alongside the director of the movie. The deep frown that showed on your face as they moved to sit down next to you spoke volumes of the deep unsettlement rooted within your mind, and you silently looked at Tom in question, for you didn't dare to disrupt the silence of the room with words. He gave you a reassuring smile, which eased your nerves only slightly. What the hell was all of this about? Surely they wouldn't ask Tom to come in if it was only about cutting down your payment.
"Thanks for coming, everyone, I hope we can make this quick and go back to production." A woman at the other end of the table took up the word and went on about how production was going well thus far. Your attention was only partially on her though, as you couldn't stop glancing at Tom next to you, who kept grinning widely behind his strategically placed hand covering his mouth. What did he know that you didn't? Very unsettling indeed. But if it amused Tom, it couldn't be all too much to your disadvantage.
"Due to some serious convincing from various people in the producing crew – I'm looking at you, Tom – there has been a slight alteration made to the cast and the script." She stated more or less neutrally, but you could tell that she was most likely annoyed by whatever was going on. Everyone else seemed rather pleased nonetheless.
"As discussed before, we will expand Miss L/n's part in the movie and make her character a regular." The woman stated and went on talking about how that would mean they had to redo most of the previous week's work, but your mind was still stuck at her first sentence. They were bringing your character back for more scenes? Even as one of the mains?! How the heck…. Hiddleston. Your eyes snapped to the man next to you only to find that he was already looking at you in both happiness and amusement. Oh, this had to be his work… you just knew it. You wanted to smack and kiss him for it at the same time.
"Miss L/n will get a new contract for the entire duration of this production. If she agrees to become part of the main cast, that is…" The woman's words made your head snap back towards her in an instant, drawing your mind out of its own depth once more.
"Yes! Of course, I… I'm honored! I'd love to." You spluttered the words in an unnecessary haste, as if this amazing opportunity could be taken away from you any second that passed without your agreement.
A little while later, as most of the people had left and only the guys for the legal stuff remained, along with Tom who was patiently waiting for you to finish signing the thick pile of papers, the woman from before came stalking back into the room on her way too high heels.
"Miss L/n…" She started, rising her eyebrows as she spoke in a slightly condescending way that made you frown in return as you signed the last of the pages. "I assume you do not have your own assistants, trailer or security as of yet…?"
"No." You replied easily, polite as ever. Hopefully you wouldn't have to see much more of her in the future.
"I didn't expect so… It is unusual for such not-at-all known actors to be added to the main cast of a major production." She chirped and you hid your distaste for her behind a polite smile.
"Oh, she will be known everywhere by the end of the day, most likely. Don't worry about that." Tom commented from the side and you gave him a quick but sincere smile. Somehow, you got the feeling that even though you were new to this world of fame and setwork, you would be fine, for Tom would be there to help you.
"Alright, then we will assign you any of our own people for this production… do you have a preference of gender?" She sighed, not even trying to bother with Tom. That was a fight anyone was doomed to lose, after all.
"Can I have Emma?" You asked out of instinct, for once not caring that making direct requests wasn't something you could allow yourself in your position. But maybe it would be, now…
"Who?" The woman frowned, then rose an eyebrow at you.
"Emma… a directorial trainee?" You asked with an insecure frown of your own, looking at Tom for help.
"Curly black hair, rather tall, bronze skin?" He asked, furrowing his brows in thought.
"Exactly!" You smiled at him.
"She's David's assistant's assistant's assistant." Tom shrugged, giving you an amused smile. "She's always been too scared to talk to me."
"You want a trainee as your assistant?" The woman asked in disbelief. "We have better qualified personnel for that."
"Well, everyone starts small. And as you put it so very accurately, I'm not one of your A-listers. So a trainee will be just fine for me." You replied politely and Tom snorted quietly off to your right, making it even harder for you to suppress a devious smirk.
"If that's what you wish for, then you will get it." The woman smiled in disgusting politeness. "And for a trailer…"
"Put hers somewhere close to mine." Tom commented yet again and now you had to bite your lip to keep from laughing.
"Of course." She replied in a breath. "Here's your new script, Miss L/n. Please be on set tomorrow morning for a runthrough with the writers." Then she turned to leave in as much composure as she still could manage.
Once the door fell closed behind her, you let out a loud snort and rose to your feet, picking up the script and flipping through the pages. "This thing is freaking huge!"
"Yeah." Tom chuckled, watching you as you sauntered towards him. "Looks like the producers liked some Ivy to their Loki."
Right at his words, your eyes fell upon a random scene right in the middle of the movie. They really had named your character Ivy… You took some very much unnecessary pride in it.
"How on earth did any of this happen?" You laughed incredulously, looking at a widely smiling Tom.
"I told you I wasn't the only one impressed by your marvelous acting." He shrugged, and together you made your way out of the conference room and towards the elevators. "But I might have made a few suggestions to a few people here and there…"
"You're unreal, Tom… absolutely incredible." You shook your head to yourself as you clutched the script tightly to your chest with the happiest smile on your face. "Thank you."
"Hey, I did it for entirely selfish purposes." He laughed, placing a gentle hand on the small of your back as he followed you into the elevator. "I get to work with you every day now. That was worth the trouble."
"Are you looking forward to me making your legs shake again?" You teased with a smirk, knowing full well that today marked the beginning of something very great yet to come.
"Absolutely, darling."
Enchanted - Adam Sackler (pt. 5)
oof, so sorry it took so long to update, but i’ve been stuck on this part for a long time ugh. hope you’ll like it!
series summary: You are casted as Giselle in the Broadway adaptation of Enchanted with Adam as Robert.
word count: 3.6k
Part 1 - Part 2- Part 3 - Part 4
masterlist
Chapter title: True love’s kiss
“Hey!”
Adam’s voice makes you jump and turning around you are met with his grinning face. He seems to be in a good mood, but that’s kind of the usual for him.
“Hi,” you breathe out with a faint smile before turning back to the notice board, but you have no idea what you were reading before he appeared.
“What’s up? How you feeling?”
“Um, nothing much. A little tired.”
You thank God he can’t read your mind, because now you are thinking how you lied in bed all night, staring at the ceiling, thinking about him. In all kinds of ways… Especially because today you are rehearsing the kissing scene, meaning that you’ll have to kiss him over and over again when you haven’t even gotten yourself over the first one yet.
“You want a coffee? I can get you one, I don’t need as much time getting dressed as you.”
“No, but thank you.”
You give up staring at the notice board and head to the elevators, Adam walking right beside you.
“So, how are things with Clyde?”
“Adam…” you sigh as the elevator door slides open and you walk in. “Clyde and I are just friends.”
“Mhm, alright. Then let’s talk about us.”
Shit, now you are trapped with him in the elevator. Staring at the numbers changing you wish it was going faster, because Adam’s eyes are basically burning a hole into you.
“What about us?” you innocently ask.
“We didn’t get to finish our conversation the other day.”
“I didn’t even want to start it,” you hiss with a frown.
“Why are you being so ignorant?” he asks with a chuckle. You don’t like how easy he is taking it, like it’s not that big of a deal.
“I’m not ignorant, Adam. I just…”
“You are just afraid of the truth.”
“The truth?” you ask raising your eyebrows at him. The elevator door opens and you step out, but Adam gets in front of you stopping you in the hallway.
“The truth is that we get along pretty well and I can tell you like me, you are attracted to me and the same goes for me too. I just don’t get what scares you so much.”
“I’m not scared!” you state, but the moment you let the words roll off your tongue you know it’s one big fat lie. You are scared, you’re just not sure what it really is that scares the shit out of you.
Adam gives you the “bullshit” look and you just roll your eyes at him.
“Lying to yourself is not too healthy, Y/N.”
“What are you now, a doctor?”
“Dr. Adam Sackler, it has a nice ring to it,” he nods with a satisfied grin.
“Okay, this conversation is over,” you growl and walking past him you are determined to finally reach your dressing room, but Adam catches up with you before you could reach your destination.
“Just give me one chance. Just one!” He stands between you and the door, his massive body blocking the way completely. “One date and if you really still feel like it’s better to just stay friends or co-workers or whatever, I’m fine with that.”
“One date is not enough for anything.”
“In your opinion. But if you ask me, it can do a lot,” he smirks proudly and now you are interested in what he has in his mind.
“Just one?”
“Yeah. One date.”
“I’ll think about it,” you say and pushing him to the side you head inside.
“When can I expect an answer?”
“When I have one!” you say and then snap the door closed.
Half an hour later you finally have your glorious dress on for the ball scene and you just can’t get enough of it. It really makes you feel like a princess. Like Giselle. You make your way to the stage where most people are already there, ready for the rehearsal to start.
“Oh my God! You look gorgeous!” Ana, aka Queen Narissa cheers when she spots you, although her costume is just as magical as yours. Misha really nailed it with the costume department.
“Thank you,” you blush giving her a quick hug.
“Wow, Y/N!” Clyde walks up to you, seemingly just as satisfied with your dress as everyone else, while he is rocking his Prince Edward costume.
A little compliment circle forms around you that ends when Trevor orders the start of rehearsal and everyone gets into position. Adam is standing at the front of the stage where you have to join him and he has his eyes fixed on you as you approach him.
“You look beautiful,” he shyly compliments and you find it cute how this tall, massive guy smiles like a little boy.
“Thanks,” you smile back at him before taking your place.
Through the whole scene you try not to stress about the kiss that is about to happen, even forget about it. Trevor stops and makes you repeat a lot of parts so it takes quite some time to get to the final, kissing part.
Right before the critical part you are basically just lying on a sofa as everyone else is carrying the dialogue and you use your time to take a good look at both men standing next to you.
Clyde is not too much shorter than Adam and he is clearly a ladies’ favorite. Thinking back at the time you’ve spent with him you honestly don’t understand why you don’t think about him in a romantic way. Clearly, you are not opposed against the fact that you have to kiss him as well during the scene, but it doesn’t fill you with the same kind of… excitement that you feel about having Adam’s lips on yours again.
Oh, Adam. You push down a sigh as your eyes travel over to him standing tall in his nice suit and that ridiculously good-looking hair of his makes you want to run your fingers through it. This man has been making you lose your mind since day one. You remember the moment he walked into the room on the day of the table read so clearly and the charisma he had. Your attraction towards Adam is truly scaring you, but you just can’t figure out what it really is that makes you so frightened to give in to your feelings.
Is it the stuff you’ve learned about his past? That film clearly didn’t have the best impression on you, but Lora is right. This is not nearly bad enough to be a fatal reason not to give him a chance. In fact, you’ve been extremely curious about what it’s really like to be with him. You are ashamed to admit you even thought about getting spanked by him and it didn’t freak you out entirely.
Is it the fact that he is your co-worker? But Adam was right, this is not an office with strict rules, it’s Broadway, the place is filled with artists and they are nothing like others, romance is not an issue as long as it doesn’t stand in the way of working. Though it surely is an issue, because if things don’t turn out good, it’s going to be awkward having to work together while the show is running.
But that’s just one thing. What else is keeping you away from letting him barge into your life? Staring up at him he catches you looking while Clyde is saying his own lines and a small smile appears on his lips, it’s almost invisible, but you can tell it’s there from his eyes. It makes your heart skip a beat and you almost gasp as realization sets in.
You haven’t felt this attracted to anyone in a long time, if not ever in your life and that’s what scares you the most. Because what if he doesn’t feel the same way? What if he rejects you when he really gets to know you? What if you are not enough for him after all? There are so many things that scare you and you don’t know if you are willing to take the chance and find out if any of it is real.
“True love’s kiss,” Adam says his line breaking eye contact.
“What?” Clyde replies.
“It’s the most powerful thing in the world.” Adam looks back at you and you forget to breathe from his stare.
“Yes, yes of course!” Clyde kneels next to you and as the music intensifies he leans down and kisses you.
His lips are soft and the kiss is rather short and shy, but you definitely don’t feel like it moves anything inside you at all. Then he kisses you two more times, according to the script he is trying really hard to bring you back to life, but you don’t react.
“It’s not working!” he exclaims.
“You’ll never save her now!” Ana lets out a wicked laugh. “When the clock strikes twelve, she’ll be dead!”
“Unless…” Clyde turns to Adam who is pretending to be confused about the happenings.
“It’s not possible,” he shakes his head. “It couldn’t be me.” “It has to be!”
“Just kiss her, Robert!” comes the order from Clara who plays Nancy. “It’s okay.”
It’s not okay, you tell yourself as you remain still on the sofa, waiting for it to happen.
Adam slowly kneels next to you and reaching up he softly caresses your cheek.
“Please, don’t leave me…” he begs before his hand slides to the base of your neck and leaning down he presses his lips to yours.
It’s like real life magic, you forget about rehearsal and all the people around you when his lips touch yours. It’s nowhere near as innocent and short as Clyde’s kiss was, there’s so much more passion and you can’t help yourself from kissing him back. It feels impossible for you not to kiss him back and for a moment you are afraid Trevor will stop you, but you hear nothing, just the beating of your own heart up in your head from the excitement of kissing Adam again.
Pulling away you cup his face in one hand and it feels like time has stopped on the stage. Everyone is watching you, but all you see is Adam’s eyes burning down on you.
“I knew it was you,” you say your line as the music starts again, people are clapping and pulling him down you kiss him again.
The only reason you don’t feel bad about being so passionate in the kiss is that Adam goes just as hard as you. It’s not as intense as the first time you two kissed, but the surroundings and everything behind it makes it just as unforgettable as the first one.
It makes you realize that no matter how scary it feels to give Adam a chance, you know you’d be making a mistake if you said no to his date offer. You can’t just shut him out completely and you know you shouldn’t.
So when you pull back and wrap your arms around his neck, just as Trevor told you to do so, you whisper into his ear so only he can hear you: “I’ll go on a date with you.”
You feel his body stiffen for a moment and when you let go and you look into his eyes they are shining bright.
Trevor makes you redo the scene five more times, that means that you get to kiss Adam ten more times and you shamelessly enjoy every one of them. You feel like you can’t get enough of his soft, plump lips and he seems just as eager to savor your lips as you.
By the end of the rehearsal you feel dizzy and you realize you haven’t been kissed this many times in such a short period by more than one person, this is definitely a record.
“Great work, everybody. See you all tomorrow!” Trevor ends the rehearsal and the gang quickly starts to dissolve.
As you head off the stage Adam catches up with you, offering you a hand since you struggle to make your way out in the long dress and high heels.
“You meant that?” he asks, a child-like excitement filling his tone. You can’t help but smile to yourself.
“I did.”
“You won’t regret, I promise!” he cheers and you just chuckle at his enthusiasm.
“I better not,” you warn him jokingly before you part your ways and both head into your own dressing rooms.
Adam is a smart guy. He takes advantage of the fact that the two of you didn’t lay out anything specific regarding the date so he definitely tries his best to bring the most out of this one occasion you agreed to.
Nine in the morning on your day off, you hear the knock on the door and you suddenly feel more nervous than ever in your life even though you know exactly who is standing on the other side.
“Good morning,” he greets you with a satisfied grin as you open the door. He stands tall on your doormat, dressed casually in a pair of dark jeans and a black t-shirt.
“Morning,” you smile shyly, inviting him inside.
“You haven’t eaten, right?”
“No, just had some juice.”
“Alright, good. Are you coming in this?” he asks taking a look at your oversized hoodie and cotton shorts.
“You don’t like it?” you ask jokingly striking a pose and he shakes his head chuckling.
“I do, actually. It gives a nice view of your legs.”
“I still have to change, I just wanted to wait for you and ask what I should be wearing for the day. You didn’t tell me anything about your plans.”
“Just… wear whatever you want. Something comfortable.”
“Alright. Want something to drink maybe while I get changed?”
“No thanks. Can I look around?” he politely asks and you nod your head before heading into your bedroom to change.
Adam curiously walks around you small, but cozy apartment, eyeing every small detail, using his chance to dig into your very personal life finally. While he is snooping around you put on a pair of light washed mom jeans and tug a simple white turtleneck into it, finishing the fit off with a pair of comfortable sneakers and you hope it’ll be suitable for the day. When you walk out of your room you find Adam at the little corkboard that’s filled with pictures and memories, he is examining a picture that was taken on your graduation day.
“You looked cute with shorter hair,” he smiles as you join him at the board.
“Thanks. I impulsively cut it a month before graduation.”
“Did you cry?”
“While cutting it? No. It’s just hair,” you shrug.
“Exactly! That’s what I always say! People get so freaked out when they cut it, but it grows back.”
“In most cases,” you smirk. “I’m ready to leave, by the way.”
“Great. You look nice, let’s head out.”
First stop is breakfast. Adam takes you to a small bakery that’s not even that far from your place, but you never even heard of it. Unfortunately. Because their croissant must be made by angels and the coffee is just exceptional.
“Oh shit, I could eat ten more of this,” you sigh in satisfaction and Adam chuckles looking at you over his coffee.
“You want another one?”
“No, I already had three, my stomach wouldn’t take it.”
“They do delivery as well,” he smirks and your eyes go wide at the information.
“Thanks, now I’m gonna spend all my money on croissants!”
Adam shakes his head at you laughing as he finishes his own breakfast up and as you get ready to leave he walks up to the counter, discussing something with the cashier. You curiously eyes him when he returns.
“I ordered three for you for tomorrow morning,” he smiles at you shyly.
“You shouldn’t have! How am I gonna fit in my dresses?!” you gasp in a joking manner.
“You’ll be fine,” he smirks before leading you out the door.
You couldn’t figure out what his plans would be for a day long date, but when he finally fills you in, you’re amazed by the creativity.
“We are gonna be checking out the most luxurious places of Manhattan, pretending like we want to buy them,” he finally tells you when you are on the subway.
“What?” you ask with an amused chuckle.
“There are some pretty impressive homes on sale, we’ll pretend to be a rich couple,” he smirks, clearly proud of the idea.
It’s not everyday you set your foot in the Upper East Side, it’s clearly not your part of the city, but you would be lying if you said you have never dreamed about having a home here. You’ll probably never have enough money to own a place here, but when Adam takes your hand upon arriving to the first location and the real estate agent invites the two of you inside with a warm, welcoming smile, you feel like it’s reality for a little while.
The homes you check out in the next couple of hours are all so unique and luxurious on a level you probably can’t imagine by yourself. Everything is so spotless and perfect, it’s almost as if they are not even meant to be homes, but museums. Every place is different and interesting in different ways. One has an indoor pool, the other one has the most amazing view from the spacious living room and a third one has a wardrobe any woman would die to own.
You find it entertaining how Adam plays a character, pretending to be a wealthy man, willing to find the perfect home for him and his wife, who is happened to be you. Enjoying the game you play along with him and have an amazing time being Mrs. Sackler just for a little while. You can’t deny that every time he smiles at you or takes your hand or touches the small of your back makes you shiver and you are enjoying these little moments.
For lunch he takes you to a small Italian place and you let him order for you, trusting his taste enough to give him this choice and you he doesn’t disappoint. Once the heavenly pizza fills you up he suggests a walk in Central Park so the two of you go to explore this little bit of nature in the heart of the city.
There’s no awkward silence, not even once. He always has something to say and you find yourself talking a lot as well, feeling the urge to share your thoughts with him. The topics range from the silliest tiny things through some serious and deep conversations and Adam happens to be a great partner in all of them. He might be a goofball most of the time, but he can definitely get deep when he needs to be.
You share a lot about your past, struggles and happy times as well and you listen to him talk about his life before Broadway. As you keep on talking you soon leave the park and start walking around the city aimlessly, occasionally ending up in famous sights, pretending to be tourists. Time flies by faster than ever and you soon realize it has gotten dark. You get some sandwiches at a deli as an early dinner and heat back to your place as the date is slowly nearing its end. You can’t deny this has been your best date ever, both creativity and fun-wise. You can’t bring up one thing that you didn’t like, that’s something no one could reach before.
It’s past eight when you finally arrive back to your place, meaning that you’ve successfully spent almost 11 hours together, but it surely has been the best day you’ve had in a while, including the day when you found out you got the role.
“Was it awful?” Adam grins at you stopping in front of your building.
“Oh, so bad. I regret ever saying yes to this date,” you scoff making it over dramatic, but luckily he gets the hint and laughs at your answer.
“Alright, good. That’s what I was aiming for.”
“Clearly,” you smirk up at him.
Staring up at him you feel like your rationality is just out on vacation and your heart has taken over control. Because nothing that has kept you from Adam seems to be relevant as you look into his eyes.
“I uh…” he starts, looking like a nervous little boy. “I really want to kiss you, but I’m not gonna if you don’t want me to.”
“I want you to,” you answer without even thinking about it. You see his eyebrows twitch in surprise, but not wanting to miss the chance he just leans down and kisses you before you could change your mind.
Kissing Adam is the easiest thing in the world, it feels so right and you could do it everyday for the rest of your life. The height difference is just perfect, his hands fit on your body just right wherever he touches you and his lips… Oh those lips! You can never get enough of them.
You stand on the pavement for a long time, kissing like teenagers before Adam leans back, hands still on your waist.
“I-I should… get going,” he says, but his eyes say otherwise and you don’t want him to leave either. No, it wouldn’t be right if he just went home after such a perfect day.
“Or you could… come up.”
He stares at you for a few seconds, searching for any sign that would tell him that you don’t mean it, but there’s none. You really want him to come up and finally make all your fantasies come true.
Leaning down he kisses you softly one more time.
“After you,” he grins and you just chuckle at him taking his hand and pulling him after you into the building.
By the time you reach your bedroom neither of you have any clothes on…
Birthday Girl
Boyd Holbrook x Female Reader (my bitch,actually)
Words : I don’t know, but it’s not long I guess
Warnings : fluff, too much fluff probably, poor English (sorry,not my first language)
Ok so, premise :
I wanted to make something for this special person, but special it’s not even enough to describe this girl. Today it’s her Birthday, [ damn bitch, aging looks GOOD on you ] and I tried to wish this hoe the bestest of birthdays “"writing”“ a little fic ( If I could definite it a fiction since my wRiTiNg sucks ) about her and the special man that stole her heart. Gotta say it, I’m a little jealous of Boyd for being lucky enough to own your heart, WOW.
This said,
Happy Birthday you goddamn bitch,
I love you with all my heart. And as I always say, Love you to the Death Star and back. @nothing-but-a-comedy
Today it’s a special day. Today’s YOUR special day.
Boyd knew you never were so enormously excited about your birthday, that you thought it was just another day like the others, after all. But he also knew you better than that, and he was sure that his special girl loved surprises.
He’d always been so in love with you, he loves everything about his Divya..he loves the way you are excited about simple things, the way you blush every time he tells you how beautiful you are and how much he loves you, the way your laugh fills the air and makes him laugh too, the way your sweet voice warms his heart, even more when you sing sweet lullabies to him before sleeping, while hugging you tight to his chest..
And god, no one knows how much you love that man back. You always told him that you didn’t want anything for your birthday, because you were already happy like this, and could wish nothing more than the life you were living with him. But, knowing Boyd, he’d always come home to you with little sweet surspises that made your heart swollen.
This year, things were going differently.
He’d been very busy with work recently, so you didn’t even think of trying to celebrate your birthday, you just wanted to spend a simple night with him cuddling on the sofa, eating some junky food and laugh at stupid shows on the tv while he kept you close to him.
You’ve always been a different girl, no big plans or expectations, and that was another thing that caught Boyd’s eye while he was falling in love with you.
You woke up to him caressing the soft skin of your neck with his fingers, giving you kisses so light that you could barely feel them, but gave you goosebumps at the same time. The sun’s rays filtered from the window, disturbing your still sensitive eyes.
"Good morning birthday girl” he whispered, his voice raspy and a soft smile spreaded on his still sleepy face. “Good morning to you” you said, turning completely to face him with a sweet smirk of yours.
He pulled you closer to his body, kissing your lips softly but with such passion that you felt warm inside. “I hate telling you, but you’ll be late for work if you don’t stop silly” you told him reluctantly. He groaned, knowing you were right but not wanting to ever leave your side. He gave you more kisses, making you giggle when he arrived to your throat, his moustaches tickling you. The sight of you was heavenly to him, he couldn’t help but smile.
However, for how much he hated it, after giving you a few more soft kisses on the lips, he then started dressing up to go. When he was ready, he came to your side of the bed, where you’ve been looking at him in complete adoration the whole time, and sat down. His left hand cupped your cheek, moving softly his thumb across it.
A look of guilt crossed his face, making you worry all of a sudden. “Baby, tonight I won’t be home till late..the director of the movie wants to talk about some particulars of the character I play and..I couldn’t postpone it..I’m so, so sorry..”
At his words your heart broke a little, but you knew it wasn’t his fault and didn’t want to make him feel guilty for that in any way.
You did your best understanding smile and told him that it wasn’t a problem, that you would eventually celebrate the next day, and that he knew you didn’t give much importance to the event anyway. He still felt a lot guilty for it, but gave you a tight hug and another kiss before leaving for work.
10 more minutes passed, and you decided to make youself something to eat for breakfast, it would distract you from the thought of being alone all day. Walking into the kitchen, on the table in the middle of the room there was a little jar of glass, with a card next to it.
You took a closer look, noticing the jar was full of tiny notes on the inside; picking up the card, you read
“Hi baby, it’s your amazing boyfriend [obviously]. Here is a little gift for you: as you noticed, inside of the jar there are many colourful notes. In each one of them, there’s written a different reason why I love you.
I promise I’ll be back soon, Love you with all my heart,
Happy Birthday princess”
A warm tear ran down your cheek, what did you do to deserve this man? No one has ever done such sweet things for you, and the love you had for him was almost overwhelming.
With a shaking hand, you reached for the jar and sat down at the table, starting to read every single note, delicately rolled up one by one. It took you almost a full hour, and lots of tears and hankies to read everything that Boyd wrote.
It felt unreal having someone that loved you that much, almost as if it was all a dream. But here it was, this crazy blonde man you fell in love with almost immediately years ago, writing down every single thing he loves about you. Not having him here with you on your Birthday wasn’t the best thing, but this little big gift he made for you already cheered you up, even though it also made you as emotional as a little girl.
At this point, since you took some free days from work thanks to the extra hours you did (and had nothing to do), you thought that maybe baking a cake to eat with Boyd when he would come back home didn’t sound like a bad idea. It could also be a cute way to thank him for all he did for you. So, following a recipe, you started cooking what would come out as a nice classic cheesecake.
A few hours went on, the Weeknd’s music in the background relaxing you while you were at work, helped even more making time pass faster than you thought.
Humming tunes and singing along with him, in the end the cake turned out pretty good, Boyd would love it in its simplicity.
After that you didn’t have much more ideas on what to do, you made yourself a simple sandwich for lunch, eating it in front of the tv. However, you weren’t paying much attention to the news; your thoughts were still occupied by the image of Boyd, you couldn’t wait for him to come home. After a while, not having any more ideas on how to pass the day, you decided to take a nap. Maybe that would help you going through some more hours without having to bother about..doing things or get bored.
You took Boyd’s favourite blanket and lied down on the sofa, his scent imprinted in it made you feel warm inside, cuddling you to sleep almost immediately.
A few knocks at the door woke you suddenly up; raising from the sofa and looking around a little confused, you noticed it was almost completely dark outside.
Damn, how much did you even sleep?
Another knock interrupted your trail of thoughts and you ran opening the door.
A blonde, tall, beautiful and scruffy looking man was standing here with a big roses’s bouquet, smiling down at you… your blonde beautiful man.
“Happy Birthday babygirl” he said, the sweetest smile of all appearing on his lips when he noticed your eyes watering.
“I..I thought you said you couldn’t be here tonight”, your voice a little shaky.
“How could I leave my favourite girl alone on her Birthday? Come here” He said, as you threw your arms around his neck, hugging him tight as he kept you as close to him as possible.
“Now now, those better be happy tears baby” With his thumb, he wiped them delicately away.
“Of course they are you.. crazy man” You looked at him, eyes full of love.
“You didn’t have to do all of this for me.. the jar.. the flowers.. It’s too much, you shouldn’t have to.. and how many roses are in there?! You gotta be damn crazy!”
He smiled at your simplicity, you were always thinking you didn’t deserve any of the things he did for you.
“Divya, it’s not too much, actually it’s nothing special at all. I just want you to be happy and never forget that I love you with all my being. You deserve this and more, if I was able to I would give you the whole world baby. And there are as many roses as your years, you old lady” he teased with a smirk, making you giggle at his observation.
He sweetly caressed your hair back, giving you a soft kiss on the forehead.
“So..you want me to stay outside or you think I could come in?” He joked, giving you a look.
“Mm I don’t know.. what do I get from it?” You smirked, raising an eyebrow.
“Don’t test me baby, I could show you better if you let me come inside” he smirked back.
“Mm I don’t know, I’m not convinced at all…letting in a stranger..” You teased, and before you knew it Boyd lifted you from the ground bridal style and walked both of you inside, closing the door behind him with his foot.
“If this is the game you wanna play, I’m in, doll. But I gotta warn you..It’s gonna be a looong night..” He said, capturing your mouth with his lips in a soft but passionate kiss, making your heart skip more than a beat in your chest.
You knew you just signed up for a long night of celebrations with your man, and couldn’t feel happier about it.
[ I did my best, happy birthday again love ]
A Rocket Coincidence (Part 13)
Part 12 / Part 14
Friday night came faster than Kali would have thought given how much she was looking forward to it. They hadn’t had a good girls night out in a while and they both could use the break. Mara, of course, had insisted that absolutely none of their clothes were good enough for this occasion and had dragged Kali shopping; which was how Kali ended up with the new little black dress she was slipping into Friday night.
“What’s this place called again?” Kali asked as Mara joined her and leaned against the front of the bathroom sink.
“Echo. Here, sit, let me.” Mara took the eyeliner out of Kali’s hand and made her take a seat. “It’s only the hottest up and coming club around.” She continued as she worked on Kali’s eyeliner. “And it has the added benefit of being right around the corner, so even after a night in these heels we can still walk home.”
“You’ve given this a lot of thought, huh?”
“Only a little. There.” Mara took a step back to survey her work. “Now come on, ladies are half cover for the next hour.”
Kali was surprised at the line outside Echo, Mara hadn’t been kidding when she said this was one of the hottest spots in town. As they approached Kali started heading towards the back of the line but Mara grabbed Kali’s hand and pulled her to the front.
“Hey, Dwayne!” Mara greeted the bouncer. “How’s the hamstring?”
“It's doing better, that class definitely helped. What brings you ladies here tonight?”
“We,” Mara hugged Kali around the shoulder for emphasis. “Are celebrating a new business venture. Think we can skip the line?” Dwayne didn’t answer immediately as he glanced between the two girls, clearly thinking about something.
“Only if my next class is free.”
“Done!” Mara extended her hand to shake on their deal.
“Alright then, enjoy yourselves ladies.”
Inside the club was as busy as Kali had expected given the line outside. The two friends pushed their way through the crowd to get to the bar first and Mara had to elbow her way in between other patrons to be able to order.
“To new opportunities!” Mara raised her glass for a toast, clinking her shot with Kali’s before downing it and ordering another for herself. “You want a second?”
“Maybe in a bit.”
“Suit yourself.”
Cliff had been gazing idly off into the club when he spotted a familiar face from across the room, Kali’s red hair making her stand out from the crowd. It was his first night in Celadon City and Sierra and Arlo had dragged him out after work. After all, they reminded him, it was becoming a tradition to go out together the first night they all ended up in the same location. While it wasn’t somewhere he might have chosen to get a few drinks he had been outvoted by the other two leaders, although now he was glad they had.
“Earth to Cliff?” Arlo waved a hand in front of the other man’s face.
“Hmm?”
“I asked how new recruiting was going?”
“I thought we weren’t talking shop.” Sierra objected as Cliff took a moment to send a quick text under the table. Kali felt her Pokegear buzz in her bag and pulled it out, clicking on the new message from Cliff.
*You look nice.* Kali’s heart skipped a beat. What? He was here?
“Who’s that? Oooo your boyfriend?” Mara teased, reading the message over Kali’s shoulder.
“He’s not my boyfriend.”
“Okay fine, man crush.” Mara teased again as Kali looked around. She spotted him and two other Team Rocket members, obvious from the large red “R” on their outfits, at a table by the far wall. Seriously, did they ever not go around advertising who they worked for? Cliff nodded at her with a smile.
“He’s not my man crush….oh why do I even bother with you.” Kali blushed.
“Oh come on, I know you too well.” Mara winked. “So does that mean he’s here? What are the odds of that?” Mara looked excited and followed the direction of Kali’s gaze, easily spotting the three. Kali had told her he was part of Team Rocket. “Which one? Tall, bald, and muscles? Or the scrawny one in the oversized glasses and hoodie? No judge either way.”
“It's...the first.” Kali blushed deeper, biting her lip as she prepared for her friend’s critique.
“Look at you girl!” Mara gave Kali a mock punch in the arm. “I mean, aside from the maybe questionable chin patch, damn! That guy is built! I bet he’s got a-”
“Shut up!” Kali laughed, blushing deeper.
It didn't escape Sierra's notice that Cliff was distracted, eyeing him surreptitiously as he kept checking his texts under the table. What could be so damn important that he was practically ignoring her and Arlo, she wondered. She knew he encouraged his subordinates to not hesitate to contact him if they needed but this seemed different. Following his gaze across the bar she spotted the girl with red hair that Sierra recognized from Cliff’s call the other day. So that’s what this was about. While Sierra studied the other girl she hadn’t been paying attention to the ongoing conversation but she was vaguely aware that Cliff said something and Arlo began laughing. She hadn’t heard, or really cared to hear, the joke but she began laughing just the same; over-exaggerating herself by throwing an arm over Cliff’s shoulder and playfully slapping his chest with her other hand. She watched the other girl from under her lashes and when Kali’s mouth opened in surprise Sierra smirked. Good.
Kali turned back to the bar, a sinking feeling in her chest. She tried to shrug it off, why should she feel jealous? She had told him she was spoken for tonight, why should he have said he would be here. It's not like she told him she would be and it's not like either of them would have expected to run into each other here. She glanced over at the table again, eyeing the other woman. The man lived and breathed Team Rocket, of course he would have a girlfriend who was part of it.
“Hey, what is it? I’m only teasing.” Mara questioned, noticing the change in her friend’s demeanor.
“It's fine, I know you are.” Kali replied limply as she reminded herself he was only being nice to her to try and get her to join Team Rocket.
“Ohhh.” Mara glanced back at the Team Rocket table and noticed the woman in the white jumpsuit hanging on Cliff, immediately putting two and two together.
“Maybe I will take that second shot."
"One more, coming right up!" Mara flagged the bartender down. Kali looked down at her Pokegear, still in hand, and decided not to reply. They had acknowledged each other’s presence and that was enough, she wouldn’t want to interrupt anything. She set her notifications to silent and shoved it back in her bag before picking up her drink, downing it quickly.
“Alright, no time for moping! It’s a girls night out and we are celebrating!” Mara looped her arm through Kali’s and began dragging her to the dance floor. Kali reluctantly obliged making Mara roll her eyes. “Come on! Give him something to be jealous of, girl!” She twirled Kali until they were both dancing to the beat. Mara did her best early on to shoo away anyone trying to dance with them but after a few more trips to the bar neither girl cared that much.
Cliff checked his Pokegear again, frowning at the three unread messages to Kali. He knew she had seen him but what he didn’t know was why she hadn’t replied. He spotted her on the dance floor with yet another stranger and felt a fire rising in his chest. Apparently she was too busy to respond. Sierra leaning heavily on his shoulder brought his attention back to the group as he carefully extracted himself from her again, chalking up her behavior to alcohol.
“You are being such a sourpuss tonight!” Sierra whined, looking over at Arlo for support.
“You do seem a bit off.” Arlo crossed his arms as he surveyed Cliff across the table. “Everything good?”
“It’s nothing.” Cliff quickly shut down that conversation, finishing his drink to avoid Arlo’s stare.
Kali, for her part, tried focusing on having a good time with Mara, or on the drinks and music, or on whoever asked her to dance but every so often her attention drifted back to the other table. It seemed like every time she glanced over the other woman was closer and closer to Cliff, hanging on his shoulder or touching his arm. She also tried to push away the flare of jealousy rising in her chest, reminding herself again she was nothing more than a potential recruit, but that didn't go so well either. When Mara pulled Kali away from her current dance partner to head back to the bar Kali stalled.
"Let's call it a night, huh?"
"Okay, okay. How about one more shot, then we'll go?"
“Alright. But just one more.” Kali laughed, shaking her head as Mara grabbed her hand and bounced over to the bar. When their drinks came Mara raised her glass for one final toast.
“To...wait what were we celebrating?” Mara giggled. “Oh! To new business opportunities!”
“And to girls night out!” Kali toasted before clinking her glass to Mara’s and drinking. “Now let’s go home.” The two hung on each other for support as they made their way to the exit. Kali was grateful Mara’s apartment was only a few blocks away as they were both pretty drunk, very good planning on Mara’s part. Sierra had just stepped away to use the restroom when Cliff spotted the two friends leaving and used the opportunity to excuse himself from Arlo and meet them by the door.
“Leaving without saying goodbye?” Kali stopped abruptly as Cliff’s familiar voice sounded from behind them.
“Ooooooo.” Mara giggled as they both turned around. Cliff stood with both arms crossed over his chest looking indignant as he met her gaze. Kali felt the flare of jealousy she had been pushing down all evening rise in her chest but this time she let it.
“Why would I? I wouldn’t want to interrupt your date.” She shot back.
“Date? What are you talking about?”
“Miss spacesuit with the purple lips.”
“Sierra? She’s just another Leader, and not my date.” Cliff raised a brow. “In case you didn’t notice Arlo was there as well, you gonna accuse him of being my date too?”
“Maybe…but I didn’t see him hanging all over you.”
"Like you didn't have a bunch of guys hanging on you out there, hmm?" Cliff's anger got the better of him and he instantly regretted it as Kali’s cheeks flushed red.
"I'm a single girl, I can dance with whomever I want!"
"Oh can you?" Cliff glared at Kali, about to continue but stopped himself and took a deep breath. “Look, I think you got the wrong idea. She’s not my date.” He reasoned, trying to reign the conversation back in.
Kali leaned up closer to him so their faces were almost touching. Even in heels he was still a little taller than her. “You so sure about that, mountain man?”
“Yes, and you’re drunk.” Kali ignored his observation. So what if she was.
“Cause your girlfriend looks like she’s pissed that you’re talking to me.” Kali continued, looking past Cliff to Sierra who had just returned to their table and spotted them.
"What are you talking about?" Cliff turned to see what Kali was looking at as Sierra began heading their way.
“Let’s get out of here.” Kali muttered as she turned back to Mara who was being unusually quiet.
"Hey, wait just a minute-"
"She doesn't want to talk to you right now, got it?" Mara decided it was time to step in. She glared at the Team Rocket leader before grabbing Kali by the waist and steering her towards the door. Cliff watched them leave before turning around to find Sierra standing behind him.
“Turned down were you?” She smirked.
“No thanks to you. What the hell is all this about?”
“Honestly, I still don’t see why you’re wasting your time on some dumb trainer.” Sierra snorted.
Cliff narrowed his eyes. “Sure it’s not that you’re just jealous you aren’t the prettiest girl in the room?” He raised a brow before walking off to tell Arlo he was heading home for the night.
Demons Jungkook and Jimin, arguing over who's better at the art of possession?
— GENRE; smut-ish | — PAIRING; Jimin x Jungkook | — DISCLAIMER; mentioning of possession | — Wordcount; 1,3k | — written with @cassiavioletblue
Jimin was happily sitting on his chair, leaned back and totally relaxed when someone materialized right next to him out of nowhere. He flinched for a second but then saw the billows of thick, black smoke around the new person. He knew who it was even before the smoke had faded. Only Jungkook had that kind of smoke and was dramatic enough to hide in it.
“Heya, Jiminnie!” Jungkook plopped down next to him, completely ignoring that Jimin was trying to get some peace here. “Since when are you back here? I thought you were busy possessing that… that important person I’ve forgotten the name of? Didn’t it work?” The younger had mischief gleaming in his dark, starry eyes and Jimin knew it without even looking at him.
“Didn’t it work?” Jimin furrowed his brows, “Says the one who couldn’t even possess that old lady from the old people’s home last week. So watch your mouth!” He raked a hand through his hair and pursed his lips. Jungkook always had a way of making his heart beat faster in one way or another. “I am back, because it worked perfectly fine. I got a nice meal out of it. How about you, huh? Teasing little mortal kids again?”
Jungkook puffed his cheeks in protest. “That’s totally not fair! She was creepy! You should have heard her thoughts! I could have totally stayed there I just didn’t want to!” He leant back with a little too much force so that the backrest went a little further down. “Maybe? I like them, they’re wild and some of them are unpredictable. Grown ups mostly want the same things, money, power, fame and sex. If only they knew how boring they are!” he yawned and then turned towards Jimin again “So what you’re saying is that you’re free right now? No projects, no deadlines?” His smile turned into grin. “Well, how about a little game then?”
“You’re a baby, Jungkook. Just accept that you can’t do the big stuff, yet. Possessing isn’t for everyone.” He looked the younger demon up and down, but seemed intrigued by his idea. “A game? What would it be? Chasing down kids in dark alleys? Nah, that’s not for me.” He leaned back again, waving Jungkook off. “Games are just for little demons. Little demons, like you.”
Jungkook straightened his spine to appear bigger because he knew the other’s height was his weak spot. “Stop treating me like a baby just because you’re a couple hundred years older! That means nothing when you’re immortal! I’ve got talent! You’ll see!” Anger flashed through his dark eyes before he schooled his face into a mask of superiority, leaning comfortably back in his chair. “You just don’t want to play because you know you’d lose against me. It’s okay. Let’s just forget about it and not hurt your pride.” Though his grin spoke about how he would definitely not let Jimin live this down.
Jimin knew that Jungkook just wanted to anger him and it worked really well. It always worked. He growled low as he stepped closer. “What is your stupid game about, huh.” He hissed, pulling the younger up and closer by his collar of his jacket. “You’re playing with fire, Jungkookie. Are you sure you can handle it?” Jimin looked the younger up and down, licking his teeth to show off. Jungkook didn’t even try to fight Jimin, he just stayed sprawled out on his chair and gave the other a lazy smile. “You don’t frighten me, Jiminnie. I know you too well for that. So let’s safe that intimidation crap for our game, shall we?” He brushed the other’s hands off and got out off the chair. “Let’s just chose a person, someone we think would be interesting. And then each of us can possess that human and who makes it quicker and better will win. Deal?”
Jimin rolled his eyes, “You still need to learn a lot my baby. But at least you got a cute ass.” He grabbed Jungkook’s wrist before apparating on the spot, giving the younger demon no choice but to come with him. When his feet touched ground again, Jimin threw his hair back and smiled. “It wouldn’t be fair if we possess the same person twice. He would be weakened from the one before. Didn’t you learn that from your mentor?” Jimin snapped his finger, before making both appear humanly and stepped out of the alley he had landed in. The demon’s found themselves near a club, something prestige that Jimin loved to go to whenever he felt like he needed to feed on sin. He smirked, keeping the younger close as they squeezed through the crowd of people.
“Just count the time, baby.” Jimin pushed Jungkook down into one of the booths before turning around, letting his gaze wander through the crowd until he found what he was looking for. Tall, handsome and a little intoxicated. “Perfect.” He rolled his shoulders back and gave Jungkook a wink. “Watch and learn, baby boy.” Jimin moved with ease, his eyes on his target as he started to move with the rhythm. Jungkook wouldn’t deny it, it was sexy to watch Jimin stalk his prey. They both knew the human didn’t stood a chance.
Jimin wrapped his arms around the man, whispering something into his ears before turning in his hold as he grinded up against him. The human was gone, dazed look as he moved his hands up and down the demon who was enjoying the attention a little too much. Not the human’s.
But Jungkooks.
Jimin arched his back, showing off his backside just a little more as he dipped down and back up again, whispering and luring in the human while his gaze was on the younger demon.
Instead of searching for someone he could lure in himself, Jungkook had stopped and simply watched. The game got pushed further and further into the back of his mind the longer he watched Jimin dancing.
Jimin bit his lip, when he felt the wave of arousal in the air. He let the human go, not even caring about unraveling what he had done and instead felt himself getting pulled back by a certain someone. “Do you like what you see?” Jimin asked with a smirk as he simply placed himself on the demon’s lap, feeling the heat coming from the demon. “Didn’t you want to find a delicious human?”
“I just thought I’d let you go first. Didn’t you say I should watch the clock? I wanted to make sure you wouldn’t be cheating.”
“You know I can’t withstand you if you keep looking at me like this,” Jimin cocked his head aside, “Did you do this on purpose? Riling me up? Making me mad so you can work off the steam. If you want to look at my ass, you don’t need to make me mad first.” He brought a finger up to Jungkook’s chin, thumb soothing over the younger’s lips. “I have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.” Jungkook batted his eyelashes, letting Jimin touch his face as he pleased.
“Hm, then maybe I failed.” Jimin looked over his shoulder, seeing the human shake himself out of his stupor as he tried to orientate himself. He laughed at the cuteness of it, but quickly returned to his favorite (and sometimes very annoying) demon. “I think you were faster,” Jimin leaned in closer, breath fanning against Jungkook’s skin as he brushed his lips over his neck all the way up to his ear to whisper. “Did you possess me, Jungkook?”
“Depends.” Jungkook smiled. “If you’re possessed you should do as I say, right? So why don’t you prove it to me right now?” He waited until he had Jimin’s full attention. “Kiss me.”
If It’s Convenient for You, pt. 4
HOLY FUCK tumblr deleted the original. I shouldn’t have tried to add a tag on mobile huh?
Well anyway, here is part 4 AGAIN.
Word Count: 2.4k
Pairing: BakugoXReader
Warnings: swearing, blood/mild violence
@chims-kookies I had to re-edit so I’m not sure if you’re still tagged OOPS
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 5 Part 6
When you awoke Saturday morning, the sky was clear and bright, rays of sunlight pouring into your room at the perfect angle. Finally a day off! Now you could relax and work on your audition piece. You felt light as a feather hopping out of bed, immediately grabbing headphones and twirling around. You expertly compiled a list of viable options before turning to look out the window.
"Holy shit." The clock on your desk read 7pm."Guess I should feed myself."
You dug around in your pile of neglected clothes, looking for anything that would constitute acceptable clothing.
The only things left in your pile were a turtleneck and...a short ass skirt.
Reluctanly, you donned the garb.
"Wow!" You exclaimed sarcastically. "I've always wanted to look like I'm on Scooby-Doo!"
You were quite expertly paying homage to Velma. Except her sweater probably left a little more to the imagination than your thin fabric.
--
You drove aimlessly for a while. Now that there was no focus on anything in particular, the only thought consuming you was Bakguo standing at your register, domineering but calm.
A breath hitched in your throat for a moment and your tongue felt swollen, a clear memory of a sweet smell rolling off of him. A little ironic, honestly, considering he was the saltiest bitch you'd ever met.
Calm down asshole. He's just a dude. A really, really, REALLY gorgeous dude. That you happen to keep seeing everywhere so you can't get his pretty face out of your stupid thoughts even though he's done literally nothing to earn your trust or respect because being a hero doesn't inherently mean he's worth his weight in gold-
Your internal monologue came to an abrupt end as you hit shuffle and let the music take over again. It was the only silence you were getting from that blonde-haired asshat.
It was really something you hated about yourself: your ability to not even know someone but suddenly be drowning in them. Every time you got an idea in your head, every time someone did something even remotely good in any way, you were jumping at the chance to fantasize.
What did they laugh at? Could they be sweet? Funny? Loving? How soft is their hair? Their lips..? Any question you had you could daydream the answer to with no problem. And daydream you did.
The setting sun was kissing the horizon as you prattled down the highway. You were a good ways out in the countryside, so a commute gave you time to clear your head. But it wasn't clearing anything.
All you could imagine was him standing just a little closer, a smile aimed at you instead of a sneer, a hand sneaking around your waist.
Your car was parked.
You didn't really remember turning into a parking lot, glassy eyes looking up at the restaurant sign in front of you.
The glimmer of the "TAKOYAKI SUPREME" sign pulled you out of your daze, if only a little.
"I have gotta stop doing that before I crash and die. Well, maybe if I die I won't have to deal with this, you mused, a finger pressed to your chin. You continued to mutter to yourself, slinking into the restaurant and staring spacily at the menu.
"I literally don't even like takoyaki." Your arms crossed as you struggled to search for a menu item that didn't make you want to throw up.
You were also great at going with the flow, and just dealing with whatever unpleasant situation you found yourself in. Hope was running out as you reached the end of the menu, shrinking down a little.
But suddenly there was a tingle up your spine. And not in a good way. You didn't dare move now. All of the haze was gone and much like a few nights ago, adrenaline coursed. But this time, you really would've preferred to have Kirishima and Bakugo hiding somewhere behind you.
The door opened and a breeze blew in, carrying the sound of a slow, calculated voice.
"That's the one." It sounded like they were standing right next to you; goosebumps accompanied the chill over the atmosphere. It wasn't clear whether or not they were alluding to you, but your gut feeling said to be anywhere else.
They were both dressed in all black, tall and looming.
Did they follow you here? It's not like you would've noticed. You were too busy imagining a face that definitely wasn't going to walk you to your car now.
As long as I can get to my keys-fuck!
You felt around aimlessly in your pockets, the horror of realizing you locked them in the car taking hold.
Just walk out calmly. There's nothing saying they're here for you.
You tried to tell yourself that, but every hair on your body was standing up and your heart was racing. These guys were bad news.
The wind picked up as you stepped outside. No one followed. But your keys were locked in your car and there was no quick getaway now.
Shakily, you pulled on the door handle, hoping that maybe for once you left the door open.
Goddammit. My phone's in there too! How the fuck am I gonna get out of this one?
You looked longingly at the seat, never wishing you were a set of keys more than at this moment.
It's either pick the lock or break the window. And probably my hand.
Movement from the inside. One of the guys dressed in black was standing now. It could've just been a coincidence, but the sinking feeling wasn't going away. He walked towards the door.
Just fucking break it! Don't worry about the pain!
But you couldn't make your body move. You were frozen stiff as the door opened. Even if you wanted to turn around, you wouldn't have.
"Hey doll face. You need some help?" It almost sounded sincere and if you hadn't had a knack for sniffing out predators, it would've been convincing.
"No."
"Really? Cuz it looks like you're locked out of your car."
"I am." The only hope was that he couldn't see you shaking violently.
"A lady shouldn't be out here in this cold. You should go back inside." There was something in his tone that was unsettling. You could feel him leering at you greedily.
The fuck does he want? Not money. He would've just robbed me. There aren't a lot of other options besides kill me and kidnap me. But why me? Just keep your cool for now, Shouna. Breathe.
"I will be fine."
"You're shaking." You could feel him slowly walking closer. Closer. Way too close. He was way too close.
"I said I don't need any fucking help from you," you growled, finally finding the will to turn around. He jerked back a bit at the ferocity in your tone.
His hands are in his pockets. I don't like where this is going.
"Get. Away," you warned. The wind swirled up again, howling now.
His face went from feigned concern to intense confession. There was a malicious grin plastered across his face, almost inhuman.
"Fine. If you don't wanna play along, then I got no choice." He giggled as he pulled a knife out of his pocket.
You eyed the small knife carefully.
He can't kill me with that. He's trying to scare me with that thing. Calm down! You literally went to school for this exact kind of thing!
You knew, though, that there was a big difference between technical and practical application, and your hands didn't stop shaking. The cold was becoming unbearable, slashing at your face and legs. Your heart didn't stop beating a million miles a minute.
Your wide eyes met his nefarious ones as he spoke his next words, "come with me or die."
Your heart was beating faster than it ever had before, hands and knees shaking, eyes clouding with fear. There was nowhere for you to go, no place to run to. How had nobody noticed? Everyone inside was going about their lives like some girl wasn't about to get assaulted in a parking lot.
Keep it cool. If he was here to kill you he would've done it already.
You wished so badly to hear some whispering in the wind right about now. There wasn't a single hero in sight. There wasn't a single person in sight. Those guys were popping up everywhere you were for days and all of a sudden they were nowhere to be found?
"You won't kill me," you dared.
"Quit stalling!" His hand wrapped around your wrist tightly as he tried to pull you towards the knife. "I won't kill you, but I will hurt you."
You were twisting and kicking and doing anything to avoid feeling the knife driving into you, landing a well-placed kick below the belt. It bought you enough time to get out of his grip and in your adrenaline-filled rush, you smashed your window out, ignoring the bright red streams down your arm and glass in your fingers.
You grabbed the key and tried to open the car door. But he pulled you by the shoulders instead.
"I don't think so!"
He braced his legs against yours and pulled your arms behind you, leaving one hand free to press the cold metal to your neck.
"Now listen to me, you have one chance to just go back inside and do what we say. Or you're gonna have to figure out how to look pretty covered in blood!" His whisper was intense in your ear, pushed through clenched teeth.
"Fuck you."
A small cut on your neck. A small pain but a lot of blood. You grunted in reaction to the metal, so cold it was hot. You were starting to get lightheaded.
"Don't make me ask again."
"You didn't ask the first time."
This time there was a deep, blinding pain as he plunged the knife into the side of your thigh. It seemed like your screams fell on deaf ears. The lightheaded feeling got worse as your vision became clouded around the edges.
"I told you not to fuck around."
He pushed you into your car and you didn't even know bodies could bounce off of things like that. He left you stunned on the ground, mouth hung open in shock. You couldn't yell anymore, the adrenaline was taking over and you could hardly feel anything but a dull ache in your leg.
He picked you up and slung you over his shoulder.
"You stupid girl! Now you'll have to wait out here. You're covered in blood." There was nothing you could do as he walked into the alleyway with you.
"Wait here."
As if I have a choice, asshole.
He tossed you roughly to the ground. The cool air was the only thing keeping your stomach from turning as you leaned your head back against the cold metal gate.
I have my keys. If I can just get to my car before they come back, I can get out of here. But I can't get up. I'll pass out, at least.
You took a few gulps of air. "I have to get up," You groaned. "I have to get to my car."
You started crawling. You weren't really in any condition to drive, but there wasn't much choice. Crawling was proving to be too slow.
"Right," you muttered. "Right leg first." You pushed yourself up and put your right leg up, prepared to bear the weight. As you pushed up, the dark swirls began to make themselves known again. You reached hastily for the fence, nearly falling backward.
The knots in the fence grazed across your stab wound and it took everything you had to stifle the scream.
I have to get the adrenaline pumping again. I have to do something to numb the pain.
"Fuck," your breath was raggedy and erratic. "Shit. I have to go. Don't think. Don't think about it. Just do it. Just go!" You pushed off your right leg and upon landing on your left, the pain from the stab rang out against every muscle in your leg. But you weren't going to let it buckle. You were going to get out of here and let the adrenaline do the work.
It was almost a good plan. A sigh of relief burst from you as your car came into view again. But you turned your head to the door. Which was a mistake.
Your ankle twisted with the uneven surface of the asphalt, knocking you to the ground. You slid a good distance and rolled to a halt, literally just a few steps from the car.
Goddammit! Get up! Get UP!
You spent a moment yelling at yourself to move. The blood from your stab wound was pouring down your leg and your neck was pulsing.
I have to get out of here. I can't wait to see what they have planned for me. You kept having to push the thought of Bakugo showing up in the nick of time out of your head.
The door opened and the man from earlier walked up to you slowly, smirking. "You thought you were gonna run away huh? That's precious. Though I must commend how far you made it. Running on a bad leg is no fun." He kneeled down over you. "You're going to regret this,"he hissed.
All you could hear was your ragged breath hitching in your throat as he pulled out the knife again.
Fuck! What the hell am I supposed to do now?
Suddenly you heard a huge blast go off in close proximity. Your heart raced. You could only think of one reason you'd hear an explosion. The man looked in the direction of the blast and you looked up, having noticed a shadow looming on the roof.
Holy shit I've never hoped that an asshole was here more than I do now. Please for the love of god be Bakugo.
The moonlight was bright and it was easy for you to make out blonde hair and a smile filled with bloodlust cross the shadowy face above.
"Hmm,"you hummed gently, closing your eyes. "He's here." The relief washed over you. There was no way this dude was a match for Bakugo.
"Oi, asshat."
The man turned suddenly. It was clear he recognized Bakugo too.
"I think it'd be best if you leave the girl alone."
Happy New Year
We docked on an island one evening. Our captain Eustass Kidd as usual wanted to go to the bar as soon as we docked. We followed our captain into the bar and soon started to drink. My idiot best friend Heat and I were talking as our captain was picking a fight and killer was trying to stop him. The crew was having a lot of fun. Being a member of the Kidd pirates wasn’t easy but our captain, known for his ruthless nature, really cared for us, his crew very much.
It’s been a while since we started drinking and I really wanted to go out and explore. I excused myself from everyone else and opened the door and let myself out with a big alcohol bottle in my hand. The cool breeze felt so good on my flushed face. it was 10:30 and most people went home and who still remained were drunk or people of bars.
I was walking in some alleyway and I didn’t know where really I was heading. I took small sips from the bottle and headed forward. The place was almost dark except for the light from the stars and the moon, which I am thankful for, showed me the silhouette of a lean tall man at the end of the alley. The way the moonlight shone on his blond hair made him to look like a prince from where I was watching him. Being drunk I really thought he was a prince and walked towards him. As I approached him, he turned his face towards mine.
My (eye colour) orbs met his half opened sky crystal eyes. I never met such a beautiful man. His flushed pink cheeks, his smooth lips, his pale face, his straight nose, his sharp jaw, his silky blond hair covering his right side of face. This person was definitely a prince. His swirly brow was very unique. He smiled at me and I started to melt at that sight. My heart started to beat faster. I felt drawn to him instantly. As if it was Love at first sight.
“Excuse me sir, are you a prince?”, being the drunken ass, I asked without even thinking twice, but all I heard was laughing. Why was he laughing?
“I.. Im no prince milady/sir. Im just a Pirate cook.”, he said after he stopped laughing and continued, “Why? Am I that handsome, making you asked me that?”, he playfully asked, still his eyelids half closed, a pretty smile still dangling on his lips. His smile was contagious, making me smile also for some reason.
“Yes, you are. Didn’t anyone ever tell you?”, I replied honestly, his smile dropped and was replaced with a stunned expression. As he was too quiet I asked again, “What happened?”
“No.. Nothing. I was actually surprised that a beautiful person like you was thinking I was handsome, and top of that.. you even said that to me, so, I was kinda.. taken back.. thankyou so much”, he bit his lower lip and looked at the ground averting his eyes from mine.
“Heh.. so cute that you are trying to hide your blush”, I playfully teased him as he looked up again and pouted. We both giggled and I was getting sober. I thought I could talk to him in some other place. As I was about to ask him, I was interrupted with two other drunk people, crashed into the same alley where we both were standing and started to throw up. As if it was a reflex, the blond took my wrist and started to walk away from the alley. His warm hands felt so good on mine. I was sober now and could think.
“I think its better if we talk somewhere else.”, he turned to face me and smiled as he said that. ‘Oh god is he trying to kill me while he smiles like that?’, I thought to myself as we came to a nearby area with only trees and greenery and the beautiful clear sky decorated with stars. ‘Woah! So pretty’, I thought at the sight of the place.
“How did we end up in a place like this?”, he asked as I shrugged in response. He was still having the pink face and I guess he is getting sober now from all the walking. He turned back to look at me.
“Oh lord, I don’t think I can stand properly”, he said sitting on the green grass while he pulled my hand down as if he wanted me to sit beside him. ‘Damn adorable’, I thought as I sat beside him.
“Wanna share that with me?”, he politely asked me pointing at the alcohol bottle in my hand, still not letting go of my hand.
“You sure you wanna drink?”, I asked him again because it felt like he already drank a lot.
“Yeah… I usually don’t drink so much but for some reason I want to drink now.”, he says as he smirks at me and takes the bottle from my hand then he chugged half of the bottle and licked his smooth lips after... My eyes opened wide in surprise at his actions.
“I can’t believe you just did that.”, I said to him as he wiped the side of his mouth with his sleeve. ‘God he sure is hot’, I thought as he chuckled and placed the bottle down beside him.
“Its just that, I have zero luck with women and love… So if you are an imagination in my head appeared while I am being drunk, I would want you to stay a little longer. I don’t even know what I’m saying, I actually don’t even know if you are real or not. I’m wasted and I’m not able to think properly.”, he said as he laughed at the end. ‘Why did it feel like it was sad? And his words were showing how lonely he was. So beautiful yet so sad.’ I thought to myself and continued talking with him.
“That’s sad, well don’t worry, I’m sure I’m real... Or wait… what if you are my imagination!?”, I asked him with gasp as I placed my free hand on my chest, trying a dramatic effect to cheer him up. Luckily he chuckled and smiled back at me and said, “I am Sanji, I’m a Straw hat pirate and I’m the chef of our crew, so what about you”.
“I’m Y/N, a member of Kidd Pirates.”, I replied, ‘as if I could imagine such a handsome person’, I thought as I smiled at him.
“Y/N huh… such a cute name.”, he smirked at me.
“Do you tell this to everyone you meet?”, I chuckled at his words.
“…..Actually, if they talk long enough then I do.”, he let go of my hand then looked down not meeting my eyes and said, “I swoon over every girl in an attempt for making them fall in love with me. I am very desperate for love. If I wasn’t drunk, I’d swoon over you too in order to make you fall for me”, he said as he chuckled and continued, “I’m sure you must’ve been creeped out by now.”
“Oh! Well this breaks the stereotype of the pickup lines, but I do appreciate your honesty”, I replied. For some reason he somewhat has an effect on me.
“Woah.. you are the first person to say that.”, he said as he looked at me again and continued, “Ladies kinda… Hate me… But I can’t stop appreciating them whatever happens”, he smiled at me but I could see it was a sad one again. ‘How could this man not be loved by ladies? He is handsome’, I thought as I averted my eyes from him
“And… I’m not creeped out… you know.”, I blushed as slowly looked at him after I said this in order to look at his expression. He was looking at me seriously and spoke, “Please don’t be a Dream.”
I chuckled again as he was being so darn innocent. ‘So cute’, I thought as I looked at his pink cheeks and ocean eyes. He covered his face with his free hand and said, “Agh… you are the first person to call me handsome. I’m so happy”. We both giggled and I playfully asked him, “So, why are you a pirate Mr. Handsome?”
“There you go again..”, he smiled and continued, “OH! I... I want to find the All Blue that’s why I became a pirate.”, he sat up straight as he said that.
“All Blue?”, I asked him and he nodded his head and closed his eyes as if he was imagining the place then said, “All Blue is a place where we find all kinds of fishes and sea creatures from the four blues at one place. It’s very beautiful also and every chef’s dream come true.” He smiled happily as his eyes fluttered open. He noticed me staring at him and raised his curly eyebrow at me without dropping the smile.
“Ah… it’s just that… You are so passionate about it and your face lit up like a child when you were talking about All Blue. I’m sure it must be a beautiful place. I am sure a person who is so passionate about his dream would definitely find it.”, I said and he lets out a cute hum as he again take my hand in his.
“Thank you… thank you so much Y/N”, he thanked so sincerely that his eyes were showing appreciation towards me. We talked about a lot of things and it was so fun. It felt good and nice. The calm atmosphere and beautiful sky made it even more amazing. We both started sharing the remaining alcohol as we slowly started walking hands linked. Enjoying each other’s company was more important to us than to think where we were headed to.
As if it was a magical moment, we both started to make out in the middle of the silent street under the shiny stars. I don’t know how I could kiss a complete stranger but… it just felt so right. As if… we were meant to be. I know it sounds cheesy and cliché, but… it felt wonderful. He tasted like alcohol and somewhere I could also taste nicotine. I’m not complaining. It was amazing. We broke the kiss and stared into each other’s eyes for some time then chuckled. We both leaned our foreheads together and stayed for a while like that before we started walking hand in hand again. Being so happy we didn’t notice the person who saw us making out. Sanji’s eyes were trying hard to stay open. His steps became wobbly than compared to before. I could see the shore before us.
There was one question in my mind that if I ask him on a date when we are not this drunk, would he be okay? And worse…. would he even remember me? As Sanji took the last sip of the bottle, I was about to ask him but then… I was cut off by another voice.
“OYE SHIT COOK!”, shouted a man who was coming in our direction. He was sweating a lot and looked like he needed help. He came towards us and stood before Sanji. He had one eye, green hair and wore green robes. He was pretty muscular. His brows were furrowed and looked like he was very angry.
“WHAT DO YOU WANT FILTH? YOU LOST AGAIN?”, asked Sanji as they both glared at each other. The Green haired man’s gaze now fell on me. he looked at our linked hands and his eye widened as if he was shocked.
“Hey you! Who the hell are you?”, he asked me. his voice was deep and raspy. Making me shiver.
“I.. I am-”, I was cut off in mid-sentence by Sanji.
“DON’T BE SO RUDE YOU DIM WIT. The names Y/N, be respectful”, he answered.
“Ok.. but lets go. Luffy is asking for food.”, the green haired man said.
“No… not now. He needs to wait till breakfast.”, Sanji said and the man mumbled something and said, “ vice CAPTAIN ORDERS!. You need to come back.” In a serious tone. I felt like he had to go. I actually wanted to stay with him more but he had to go now… I left his hand and he looked at me with sadness. I smiled and said, “Go. We will go on a date tomorrow, only if you liked my company today. Okay?”, I asked him and all he did was smile as his eyes completely shut and he fell on me. I caught him and balanced him on myself. What the! He is sleeping now. But why whatever he does makes me think he is cute?
The green cussed as he had to take him back, but after I said that the shore is just a few meters away from here and pointed it straight ahead of us he flinched and gritted his teeth.
As he took one hand of sanji’s and placed it over his own shoulder and started walking with me having one hand of Sanji over my shoulder. We walked to shore and we could see a ship with some lion’s head which was Sanji’s and I handed him to the grumpy man and was about to go to my ship which was a bit away from this place, but the green haired man stopped me in my tracks, “Don’t you dare take advantage of him and hurt him.”, and he took Sanji to the ship. I was completely shocked at the words of the man. I snapped and yelled, “I WONT BECAUSE I ALREADY HAVE A CRUSH ON HIM”. I shouted as the man took Sanji back to the ship. He turned back and grinned at me and continued to take him into the ship, not even saying another word.
‘Seems like the Ero cook is going on a date huh’, he thought as he smirked, “Even though I had to witness that disgusting moment by accident’, he was now cringed at this own thought.
I stomped to my ship furious at the words that man said. Then I saw Heat and killer completely pissed at me.
“Oh! Look who’s back! After all the training and fight in the bar, this is what I needed today”, Sarcasm was on point for heat now.
“hahahe… i.. I’m back”, I said nervously to the both men who were also my best friends on this ship.
“You disappeared when we were fighting and you appear now. Do you even know how worried we were? It’s 2:45 am now for your information”, Killer said making me feel guilt. So… I was with Sanji for like… roughly 4 to 5 hours? Maybe? ‘Well, they weren’t wrong. If they disappear without telling me a word, I’d be worried about them’, I thought as I sighed and looked at them apologetically and said, “Sorry for worrying you guys.”
They both looked at each other and again at me. Killer sighed as Heat grunted. “Its fine. Don’t worry us like that again”, Heat said scratching the back of his neck as he dropped his frown.
“What were you doing? Where did you go?”, asked Killer not even thinking of letting go of it.
“Quick! Think of a lie and escape this”, said heat. ‘Welp. So there is someone who is still not okay with my apology’, I thought as I said, “I… thought of exploring the place and…”, I stopped in mid-sentence thinking about how I met him.
“And….”, Heat indicated me to go on.
I sighed and continued, “I met this guy and we hung out till now”, I pressed my lips as I ended my explanation.
There was dead silence which was really awkward. “Well, good talk”, I said and I started to leave but was stopped by Heat.
“Wait… you met a random guy, a total stranger, I assume he was also drunk and let me add this in, you were really drunk when it happened right!?”, he asked
“Yes.”, I answered
“Was there any chance that you were hallucinating? Because you are desperate for love so I can understand if you were hallucinating”, said killer. As I was about to protest, of course Heat had to step in and make me even more pissed.
Heat placed his hands on my shoulders and said, “You know we can totally understand if you say that you drank way too much and fell asleep under a tree till now. We won’t judge. Its totally fine if you tell the truth. You don’t have to tell fiction”, heat ended as he patted my head and let go of my shoulder. These guys… welp… they are my best friends. I know they don’t mean any ill and these type of comments were really fine between us. Especially Heat, when someone else other than the grumpy captain of course, even tried to insult me, he’d burn them. Like literally spit fire. He says he can only be the one person who can insult me. I don’t know if it’s a compliment or an insult.
“You know what, I give up. When I tell the truth you won’t believe. I hate you both”, I grunted
“Oh god! So it was true!”, Killer exclaimed as heat gasped.
“Yes you idiots! It’s true”, I said as they both laughed.
“Oh god… so... Do you like him or what? I didn’t think you were the type to go and hit on people”, Heat asked
“Welp… I guess… I… I have a crush on him. He was really fun to talk, we shared alcohol and he seemed like a gentle man. He never let go of my hand.”, I blushed at the last words as I placed my hands on my face.
Heat, that jerk murmured gross as Killer chuckled at my actions and asked, “So will you guys meet again or did you take Den-Den mushi numbers?”
“I actually told him to meet me tomorrow… i guess today”, I said as Killer awed in response but Heat being Heat said, “Good talk, now Kill me please”, in his way he is happy. Why is he even my best friend?
“Go and sleep for now. You need rest”, killer being the sweet heart said it but… Heat had to ruin that it by saying, “Yeah.. you must be very tired hanging out and drinking with a guy but we are totally okay after taking care of the crew, the fights of the captain, the repairs and damages, losing most of my sleep and also searching for certain someone. I’m totally fine.” Heat getting a friendly punch in the arm from me, with that I went to my room and slept.
“Oye! Ero Cook!”, called Zoro as he entered the kitchen, noticing that Sanji was behaving like a usual day. It was as if he…… didn’t remember anything.
“What do you want Marimo?”, sanji replied as he was stirring the soup.
“Don’t you… have to get going?”, Zoro asked looking at the blond as he continued cooking.
Sanji turned to look at Zoro and said, “I will go soon. Taste this place’s cuisine”
“No.. No, that’s not what I was asking. I mean… you know… your plan for today. You need to go right?”, Zoro asked Sanji as the blond turned to cooking again.
“Ah! As I already bought food, my plan is to help Nami san and Robin chan to carry their bags as they both shop.”, Sanji grinned as he imagined both the girls in new clothes giving zoro chills then the blond turned to Zoro as he had a disgusted expression and said, “Why do you want to know about my plans? You creep!”.
“NO YOU IDIOT! I DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR PLANS! DON’T CALL ME CREEPY YOU PERVERT”, shouted the swords man
“THEN WHY THE HELL WERE YOU ASKING ABOUT MY PLANS YOU JERK”, this time the cook shouted expecting a fight from Zoro, but to his surprise, the swords man neither shouted nor replied, instead he grunted and tapped his foot against the floor.
The curious cook asked, “Seriously, what do you want to say?”
Hearing this Zoro turned to Sanji and questioned, “Do you remember how drunk you got last night?”
This made the chef to think about yesterday. He tried a lot but it was all blurry and he couldn’t remember a single thing. He looked at Zoro but didn’t reply.
“Do you not remember anything?”, Zoro’s question was answered as Sanji gestured no. the cook was getting worried what had happened because he didn’t remember anything.
‘Agh! Why do I even care?’, the swords man thought as he cursed under his breath and continued, “Can you tell me how much you remembered?”. Sanji took a deep breath and narrated what he could remembered, from the time the crew went to the bar and drank as Luffy ate, then how Sanji started to feel like drinking more and more and that was it. Hearing this Zoro sighed. The last Zoro saw Sanji was he going out of the bar for fresh air. Sanji seemed like he was sober but now he knew he wasn’t.
“Don’t beat around the bush. Tell me what happened?”, Sanji turned off the stove and came towards Zoro.
Zoro looked into Sanji’s eyes and sighed as he answered, “You got drunk and met a person and I am pretty sure you had a great time because they asked to meet you today”
Hearing this Sanji’s eyes widened and he couldn’t believe what Zoro said.
“Look, I don’t have time for your lies and jokes”, Sanji said as he glared at the swords man
“I don’t have any reason to lie to you. If I wanted to I wouldn’t have told you and let you miss your little date”, Zoro sternly stated making Sanji to think this through. ‘Why couldn’t he remember? Was that true? For the first time in his life a person showed him affection and he didn’t even remember? And how did this marimo know about this? Who was that person? What was their name?’, all thoughts flodded Sanji’s mind making him feel guilty and terrible.
“I’m sorry for you but I too don’t know where you agreed to meet”, Zoro said as he placed his hand on the cook’s shoulder and continued, “From what I remember the name was Y/N and seemed pretty interested in you because they even shouted at me that they like you.”, after telling this Zoro left Sanji in the kitchen and went to train.
Sanji looked at Zoro and thought about the name, ‘Y/N’… no matter how much he tried he couldn’t figure out who the person was. Sanji knew Zoro wouldn’t joke about things like this. ‘Where was he supposed to meet Y/N? Who was Y/N?’, guilt was killing Sanji inside as he thought about the mystery person. He completed making the soup but still he didn’t remember Y/N.
Then he heard a loud shouting from outside. He headed out and saw that Luffy was shouting at a guy with a metallic arm and red hair. He had some members behind him as they were looking sketchy.
“Not again Luffy”, Sanji said to himself as he went near Luffy to see what the problem was.
XOXOXOXOXOXO
After I woke up, I put on my best clothes and got ready so that I could meet Sanji. I didn’t tell him where I’d meet him so I just thought of going towards his ship. Kidd wanted to explore the island today because he just drank yesterday and picked some fights.
There weren’t many people on the deck so I assumed they took off with Kidd. I got down the ship and started to walk towards Sanji’s ship. I was very nervous and my heart was beating fast. I took deep breaths whenever I felt like I was about to faint. I heard some noises and shouting as I got close to the place. Curious to see what was happening I increased my pace and saw that my crew was there… near Sanji’s ship. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw my captain shouting at the straw hat man which I was sure of was the Captain of Straw Hat Pirates as I made myself go to the front line.
My heart started to beat even faster when I saw Sanji and the rest of the straw hats looked like they were ready to take on if things got out of control. Heat, Wire and rest of us were also looking like they were ready for combat. ‘No… no… no…’, I thought to myself as I imagined how terrorising the battle would be if they fought.
I slowly took a step forward and started to go towards Sanji but I had to go past my captain if I want to meet him. I’m sure Kidd wouldn’t be focused on me because he is busy, so this was my chance. My crew were definitely shocked... But I had to… I had to talk to sanji one last time if this small fight breaks out into a war. I slowly walked and I passed my captain but shockingly he was now focused on me. He stopped shouting at Straw hat captain and stared at me with the other captain.
“EEEEKKKK Why is she/he coming towards us? LUFFY DO SOMETHING!”, shrieked a person with a long nose.
“But I don’t get any evil intent”, said Straw hat Luffy.
“Tsk, so you were a member of Kidd Pirates?”, said the green head swords man.
“OYE! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU GOING”, shouted my captain as I stood before the blond man. I curled my fists into a ball and looked at him sternly. I knew if it was now or never. So I took deep breath and asked him, “Will you go on a date with me Sanji?”
My crew and the straw hat Crew Gasped at my words. I didn’t shout but as everyone was quiet they could hear it.
Sanji’s eyes wide opened as if he heard it for the first time and suddenly the green haired person said, “Oye cook! That’s Y/N!! I told you, you had a date today”.
“EHEEEEE!!! SANJI HAS A DATE!!!! I CANT BELIEVE THIS! IS THIS A JOKE?! EHEEEEEE”, Screamed the long nose guy, a big huge robot type guy and what I suppose was an animal?! What was this crew? There is even a freaking skeleton. Sanji told about his crew but I don’t remember their names correctly. Well… our crew also is weird. We have a masked guy whos face no one saw except for Kidd I believe and… Heat…. Yeah… I got used to them so I don’t find it weird anymore. But… We have Heat. This crew is weird as ours. That guy Heat spits fire. (Totally not insulting my best friend in my head)
“WHAT THE HELL? Y/N! THEY ARE OUR RIVALS FOR F*** SAKE. COME BACK!,” My captain shouted at me.
“CAPTAIN I JUST WANT TO GO ON A DATE! PLEASE I BEG YOU”, of course I’d never betray my captain nor go against his word. So, all I have got is let Killer help me and convince Kidd.
“EHEEE SO YOU WERE TELLING THE TRUTH! STILL AM NOT ABLE TO BELIEVE YOU GOT YOURSELF A DATE Y/N!”, totally not my best friend Heat insulting me in public. Let me just ignore him for now.
“What is a date? It seems fun! Can I also join”, this made everyone go silent as the straw hat captain laughed as he said it. Was he joking or plain innocent?
“OYE MUGIWARA! THIS IS NOT THE END! LETS SEE WHO WINS!”, grunted my captain
“OKAY! LETS START!”, Said the straw hat captain with full enthusiasm in his eyes.
“Oh No! PLEASE DON’T FIGHT, WE SHOULD NOT MAKE THIS A WAR”, I shouted this time only to be stared back with confusion and some face palmed at my actions. I looked at Heat who was covering his mouth holding his laugh in looking at me. ‘The hell? Why is that idiot laughing and why is Killer looking at me with a sorry aura’, since I can’t look at his face at least I can tell what he is feeling.
“Actually, they are not… fighting exactly”, this time it was the husky deep voice which I wanted to hear the most and heard now for the first time after a while. I turned back to look at Sanji as he said that. ‘What have I done?’ and next thing I know was the two captains in a restaurant, stuffing themselves up with food.
So… this was the fight that they had in mind. Heat was sitting beside me as I hung my face down as Heat tried to be nice for once and patted my head.
“Why are you being nice? Its not your style.”, I said not looking at heat as he gasped.
“What do you mean? I’m always nice”, heat questioned making me look up at him and laugh but the thing i did before made me hung my head down again.
“I am so stupid”, I said
“No... You just have bad luck when you think”, Heat said making me hit his shoulder because he just agreed in sarcasm. But I’d be lying if I said this didn’t feel normal between us.
“I thought the captains would fight a war and I’d never get a chance to ask Sanji out but… look at my position. I didn’t even get a reply from Sanji”, I complained to Heat.
But I as I still had my head down I didn’t notice the blue eyes which were watching me from the other side of restaurant.
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
In the meantime, Sanji was talking to Robin as he stared at Y/N
“You should go and talk if you want to you know, looking like that at Y/N won’t do anything.”, Said the Raven beauty who noticed the upset look of Sanji.
“…But Robin chan, it’s just that… I don’t remember even a thing about Y/N”, admitted Sanji to Robin as he continued, “Still I don’t know why I feel like my heart is being crushed when I look at Y/N…. sitting with that weird blue hair guy. He never left even for a second.”
“You can know about Y/N again if you talk. Just go a date”, said the smart archaeologist.
Sanji grunted as he looked how Heat patted Y/N’s head and how Y/N looked at him and laughed.
The blond lit another cigarette and said, “I don’t know why I’m this nervous. I’ve never felt this nervous before when I tried to approach someone. I think its because… it’s the first person who openly showed affection to me, without even a small bit of hesitation.”, sanji paused in between as he looked at how Y/N playfully punched Heat’s shoulder. Sanji continued, “Tsk.. look at them. I don’t like it one bit.”
“So… basically you are jealous. Why not just say that you’d go on a date? I’m sure Y/N would be happy and don’t worry, we will take care of the situation with Luffy.”, said Robin as she continued to sip her coffee.
“Yeah… I guess you are right Robin chan. You know what… I’ll go and talk.”, declared Sanji as he got up from his seat. Robin did her classic giggle as she saw Sanji going towards his to be date.
‘Well I guess everyone is destined to meet someone’, thought Robin as Sanji made his way to Y/N’s table nervously.
XOXOXOXOXOXO
“Excuse me Y/N, can I talk to you for a moment”, said someone making me look up at them. ‘Oh god! Its Sanji!’, I exclaimed inside my head. Heat got up from his seat and made his way to where Killer was sitting. ‘What! Hea..Heat just went away?! But im scared’, I thought as I looked at the back of Heat as he left. I slowly looked at Sanji and saw he was nervous too but was still standing in his spot. ‘Why was he?! Oh god! Is he waiting for my permission?!’, My thoughts were exploding in my head as I tried to remained calm on the outside. Trying to hide my embarrassment.
“Please sit”, I gesture him to sit and he obliged. We didn’t talk for a good minute or two, ‘Was he not ready? Was I too forward? Is he trying to reject’, with all these thoughts in mind I spoke first breaking the silence.
“So… Sanji was that too forward of me to ask you like that in public? I apologise if-”
“NO Don’t”, My sentence was cut off in between by Sanji. He looked at me with what I can assume is guilt. And I understood why he was behaving like that.
“Oh… I understand. Its.. its ok if you want to reject me I-“
“Not that either”, he said as he took a deep breath and confessed, “Y/N-san, I must tell you this. I… I don’t remember what happened yesterday”, this made my eyes widen as I looked at him. ‘Then what about our time together? What about the deep thoughts we shared? What about… the kiss? Was it all gone?’, my heart sank
“I am sorry. But trust me, I tried… I really tried hard remembering you but… I couldn’t remember you. You can hate me if you want but-“
“Stop!”, this was my time to stop him in mid-sentence as I continued, “It’s ok. You can stop apologising now. It’s not your fault. We were just too drunk at that moment. I… am sorry for asking you out even though I am a stranger. You must’ve felt forced. You don’t have to feel guilty or sad. Its fine. You don’t have to go out with me. its ok. I can understand Sanji.”, I concluded my sentence with it as I got up to leave, I felt a hand grab my wrist making me turn back to look at.
“Please, wait. I’m sorry but, do you think, we can start over maybe? Will you go out with me Y/N? please”, he asked me with a pleading smile. Could I say no to those eyes and smile? No way.
“I’d… I’d like that. Okay lets go on a date.”, I answered as I smiled at him. He felt relieved and stood up and said, “Then would you like to get out of here? I know it’s a good restaurant but… with all those people staring at us would be awkward”
I looked around to see except for the straw hat captain and our captain, everyone were looking at us with huge grins.
“Yes please”, I say to Sanji as we both started to leave the place quickly but I had a sad feeling that my captain wouldn’t like it. I looked at him once.
“Y/N”, said Kidd stoping me from my tracks.
“Have fun”, did my captain just indirectly gave me permission?!
“Thankyou Captain”, I thanked my Red hair captain as he continued eating.
“Sanji”, this time it was Straw hat Luffy. ‘Was he also going to give permission for us?’, I was getting my hopes up.
Then he spoke, “Dinner should be meat”, making everyone sweat drop.
“Oh… Ok”, Sanji replied as he offered his hand to mine which I accepted and we exited the restaurant.
We both were a blushing mess as we walked around the place. He told me he’d swoon over ever lady he saw but he wasn’t doing that now… so I decided to ask, “Sanji, yesterday you told me you swooned around all the women but… why aren’t you doing that now?”
“What! I told you about that?”, he exclaimed as I giggled
“Yeah. You told me most of the things about yourself. Like what type of cigarettes you like, what genre you prefer for stories, what you did while you grew up at baratie and how you wait for your letters of them every time even if you never ever told anyone about it and that’s it”, I tell him as I smiled at him.
“I am so embarrassed.”, he closed his eyes and let his head down.
“What?! Only for this you are embarrassed? I didn’t even get to all the ways you tried to make Nami and Robin chan fall in love with you”, I teased him more as I continued, “Nami swan~ Robin chwan~”
He sighed and chuckled as he said, “Oh god! You almost know everything about me and I.. I know nothing about you.”, he said sadly as he again looked at me and pouted.
“Awww, you are so cute when you pout”, I said it without thinking even once. This time we both are not drunk and I said it to his face. ‘Oh how much you are right about me Heat’, I thought as I heard the Heat in my head say, ‘Told you so’… I slowly looked at sanji again and saw what a blushing mess he was. Even he had some blood coming out from his nose.
“Are you okay? I just complimented you, nothing more”, I said as I wiped out the blood from his nose with my hanky.
“I’m sorry. Its normal for this to happen to me. so don’t worry.”, he chuckled
We both went into a small café and started to talk. Mostly about me if I’m specific. ‘All embarrassing moments are okay as well as cute childhood incidents. But somethings are better unsaid’, I thought as I remembered how he hated his three brothers who bullied him.
As we exited the café with our hands linked together. ‘PDA is his speciality I guess’, I thought because how much I liked it. We hungout in the park, the nearby small zoo, shopping places even though we bought only some things and he insisted carrying the shopping bags. Instead making me have an ice-cream in my hand. He made sure one of his hand was always free because he wanted to hold my hand, which was adorable. It was evening by now and we were heading back to the shore.
“Y/N-san, can I ask you a question if you don’t mind”, Sanji questioned politely
“You don’t have to be so polite. Just ask. What is it?”, I said as I gave a gentle squeeze to his hand with mine. He blushed again and asked, “Why… Why did you go on a date with a person like me? I completely embarrassed myself in front of you, gave you a bad first impression with being so much drunk and on top of that I didn’t even remember you”, he asked as he looked at me.
“You think too low of yourself considering how handsome you are Sanji”, I said as I smiled at him. I made him to stop in his tracks and turned him towards me so he could see me clearly.
“I went out with you because I felt comfortable around you. I liked how sincere you would be if you ever fell in love. I liked how devoted you are to your friends, and the way you respect ladies. I like how you are trying to find love. But more than anything, I love how passionate you are about your dream of finding All Blue and with that deep passion, I know you’ll definitely find All Blue”, as if there was a snap Sanji pulled me towards him into the alleyway beside us.
Sanji closed the gap between my back and the wall as he leaned down. Knowing he was going to kiss me I closed my eyes. But… he didn’t kiss me. instead I heard a question, “Is it… is it ok if I kiss you?”, I opened my eyes and saw he was desperately holding himself back as he bit his bottom lip. Blood already started dripping from his nose. I chuckled as I wiped the blood again and said, “Yes”, and that what all he wanted to hear before his hungry lips met mine. I could feel the burning passion in the kiss. It was more intense because we both are totally aware of whats happening. It was so good and my knees were about to give away. The nicotine and caffeine taste was oddly refreshing and I loved it. Too bad it had to stop because we both needed air.
Sanji’s forehead was pressed against mine as we both looked into each other’s eyes. We both smiled as I again wiped the blood from Sanji’s nose, again… and again… no.. we now weren’t kissing. I was just wiping his nose.
“Please don’t make it more serious like on the mermaid island.”, I said to him as I worried.
“So you know that too”, he sighed and continued, “Please don’t hate me”, I chuckled at his words and continued to go towards the shore again.
“Woah… I did expect that you’d request permission for every single thing you do, I mean you didn’t do like this when you were drunk”, I said as I chuckled.
“We… We Kissed?!”, of course he didn’t knew it.
“Yeah and you were still a gentle man but, you didn’t ask permission like this when you were drunk”, I admitted as we both blushed.
“How the hell could I forget it?”, he huffed
“It’s fine. Just don’t forget this”, I chuckled
“Never ever. I promise”, he smiled again
After a while we reached the port. We turned to look at each other, reluctant to go separate ways.
“So… this is it.”, I said to him as I smiled sadly, not wanting to let go of his hand.
“I… I think so”, He said as he returned my smile to me.
“You have my Den-Den mushi number and I have yours. So can I expect some call dates… Only if you would like to.”, I asked Sanji as he bit his bottom lip in an attempt to not cry.
“Thanks. I… I’d like that”, he managed to say before he hugged me tight. Well, we won’t be able to meet for god knows how long. So I also hugged him tight and inhaled his scent, so I’d remember. His exotic perfume, lovely shampoo and of course, nicotine smell, which now would make me remember him more whenever I smell this kind.
“Like I already said, don’t come to my ship to drop me. I look bad if I cry”, I said trying not to cry and I heard, “No you would never look bad, but I don’t want to cry in front of you either.”
“If fate allows lets meet again”, I said and he hummed in return.
We broke the hug not wanting to but had to and kissed again and went the opposite ways, I turned around to look at him while he stayed still looking at me, until I was out of his sight. This action of his made me miss him even more.
I went to my room and ugly cried. I didn’t know why a guy, whom I met yesterday had this much effect on me. if it was a simple crush im sure without having any contact, I’d forget him. but I don’t want to… I want to remember him. I want to meet him again.
XOXOXOXOXOXO
Sanji was hurt to see Y/N leave. He was now fixated. No one till now understood him and liked him even when knew all his flaws. He still complimented Robin chan and Nami as he got on the ship. Made amazing dinner and fed the crew as they left the island. Tried to remain as normal and happy as possible. Even boasted about how amazing the date was. But for the first time he asked to take Zoro’s shift to be as the lookout for night. As he was then alone and knew everyone was sleeping, he let out his feelings in the form of tears. He didn’t want it to end.
Sanji was very grateful to Y/N because of the idea of calls. He couldn’t bring himself asking that question thinking of all his insecurities. He smiled at all the moments of the date and promised himself to never forget Y/N again and would wait for them to meet again. As he was wiping his tears he heard his Den-Den mushi ring. He picked it up and heard, “Hey! I know its way too soon and also late but if you aren’t sleeping… wanna talk?”, he heard Y/N chuckle. He didn’t expect a call now. He thought of calling Y/N but was afraid that he would disturb.
“Yeah! Actually, I would love to talk”, he said as he sniffed and grinned.
THE END
The Soldier and the Empress 1
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Just a couple of things before you start reading this fanfic.
I won't be using subtitles for the vast majority of it, only when not everyone can 'hear' these characters is when i'll use them (Like Senketsu).
This fic assumes you’ve already watched Kill La Kill as it contains spoiler and skips a lot of story for different purposes.
This fic is (most of the time) written in first person perspective to add to the immersion.
This is a Satsuki X Reader/Insert Fic, I just think that leaving the name blank takes away from the immersion. Also the 'good shit' will come in tiny bits here and there as well as some big ones so be patient.
The story will curve away from the anime later down the line, specially after the biggest event on the anime happens.
I appreciate feedback and grammar corrections greatly, as long as you ain't an asshole about it it'll be Okay. (I do spelling mistakes on purpose when I'm the one 'talking')
Originally uploaded to wattpad exact same way under the limitations on this site.
With all that said, please enjoy and tell me what you like and what you don't of it. Thanks for reading.
Lizard Among Pigs
Satsuki Kiryuin
That's the name of the woman who stole my place as the student council president at my high school.
Back then i didn't rule the school out of greed or desire for power, but out of fear, i wanted everyone to stay away from me. So i recruited followers and with them i made my dream school and it looked like my second year would been just as peaceful, that's when she showed up.
Long black hair, blue eyes and a stare that could kill. She completely destroyed the defences i built over the last year. Not even an hour past her arrival, many of my followers had left me for good and the ones who attacked her were already on the ground.
Satsuki Kiryuin
She shouted her name as demanded my presence. There was nothing else to do, i had to go out and face her myself.
Once i was alone in front of her, four other figures showed up, a pink haired girl, next to her a blue haired four eyes. To Satsuki's other side, a green haired punk with a bamboo sword and finally behind her a two and a half meters tall blonde buff man.
I had no chance against her, let alone any of her goons. However, I also had no reason to surrender. my weapon was a pair of claws made out of scrap that i slowly put on without taking my eyes off Satsuki. Either fear or something else kept me from looking away as to which one was, i got my answer soon after.
"Surrender!" The long haired woman in white uniform shouted at me, almost making me kneel from that alone. seeing that was not the case she seemed somewhat impressed.
I let out a groan, her shout did not beat me, but sure as shit left me tired.
"Impressive" She sounded way different now "You who ruled over this people with fear, you were right to do so, but you lacked something very important!" she went back to shouting, draining more and more energy out of me with every word.
"Hm, and here i thought this one was going to be some pushover… i need to reexamine the data" the blue four eyes spoke to no one in particular.
"Like a lizard under a hail..." the other girl with satsuki 'answered' to the glasses guy.
"Oh ho" the green haired punk said surprised while the big blonde man said nothing.
Satsuki Kiryuin
She took a step forward, a single step, then a blinding light appeared from behind her, i could not see it's origin.
"Come at me and if you survive, I will tell you what you lack!" She hit the ground with her sword and again more energy left my body.
I only had enough strength in me for one single attack, so i had to make it count.
With the last of my pride of the position i got for myself i managed to speak back at her.
"Then so be it!" thus i readied my weapon. I put all my strength on that attack, or so it seemed, it was a feint, when i got closer to her i would change direction, that's all i had to work with.
And she still stopped me effortlessly and calmly as when she first showed up. a strike from her sheathed sword to the stomach and with my Scrap Claws broken i fell to my knees in defeat. I barely manage to lift my head, i saw Satsuki at my left, three of the four goons she brought were far more relaxed than just a second ago, but the tall blonde one looked way more serious than anyone else.
Finally she spoke.
Satsuki Kiryuin
"Determination"
That was the last thing i heard before i fell to the floor barely conscious. With my defeat she was done here, so they were preparing to leave. And just as she gave a final speech to the ones who were still somewhat awake, a speech I could not hear. I saw her in the distance, that same blinding light i was now able to see perfectly through it. before i was almost lost to fatigue but now i was lost for words at her beauty, why was it so different now from the one that beat my ass just a moment ago?
She wasn't, the moment i laid my eyes on her i felt it, but i didn't realized it yet…
"I want to follow her." That's all that went through my mind after that, i had to act fast, i had to move. I managed to get some strength in my hands and rip some grass, as i slowly raised my head once again, i realized that they weren't that far from me as i originally saw, probably a trick of the fatigue.
I was now kneeling, and all five of the spectators were in complete silence, i didn't know why then, but now i know it was them acknowledging the strength i had to get up after one of Kiryuin's strikes. I remember the blonde man smiling if just a little, the glasses guy typing at a computer and the punk was definitely happy, the pink girl was looking at Satsuki, like waiting for her to say something.
Next step was to get up, i just knew it. So i tried and tried and tried until i lost count of how many times i tried but failed. i felt pathetic.
Then in the endless white noise i heard a voice, Satsuki's.
"GET! UP!"
Inexplicably i sprang up and got on my own two feet, stumbling a little, but i did not fall i was not going to fall ever again.
Somehow now I could clearly see the faces of the four, the big man was now all smiles, the four-eyes was typing even faster, the other two were still the same but the punk was looking at Satsuki this time. She was smiling, i was lost to her sight again but now i was breathing heavily trying to regain consciousness.
"Well Done Tadasuki! You have proven yourself! Join me at Honnouji Academy!"
That's when i pledged my undying loyalty to Lady Satsuki, The woman that stole my heart.
From there on out i expressed my love for her in form of loyalty, hoping once all this is over, once her little sister and father are avenged, once Ragyo is defeated maybe, just maybe i… no, i'll restrain myself from such thoughts for now.
"Tadasuki, sir, is everything in order?" Omiko Hakodate, two star leader of the tennis club asked me, her superior, to check if everything was in ok after i inspected it.
"Yes, there seems to be no problems with your equipment, Sanageyama should be here soon for the last adjustments… by the way, what happened to the new girl?"
She told me what happened to the new girl after one of her club members didn't showed to practice the day before.
"I see, she'll most likely show up again… ah! whatever, it's Sanageyama's problem now (and i still cannot follow what happening inside of her pretty head… i'll ask Nonon later… no that sound like a bad idea...)" with that i left the tennis court to examine other clubs and their equipment, such is my duty as vice-president... well that and follow her orders.
