LMAO UM. i think the last time i went grocery shopping for real (not just buying coffee creamer, milk, protein bars, gatorade, and red bull/celsius/alani) was like... may? i wish i was kidding. anyway, gonna do that this weekend now that i have a list !

how does it feel to write max f?!!!! scary. i'm in @peargcsly's pm's every evening freaking tf out about him because i'm afraid i'm not doing him and their relationship justice.

that being said ! i looooove him. i'm obsessed with him. if you're in my inbox here you've probably (maybe?) read my other fics and know that i'm notoriously rlly rlly bad at writing in any characters outside of the literal two ppl involved in the ship. i knew off the bat i was going to include a lot of max f in dad lando for practical and like... emotional foil reasons, and i was scared of it (still am) bc i just don't write a lot of side characters. but surprise! i am having the BEST time with their relationship! it's just sooooo soft. as i said in a previous ask or maybe a pm to a mutual(?), max f was always going to be part of this fic bc i cannot imagine a single universe in which lando norris goes through a hard thing and max fewtrell is not there to cheerlead him and remind him what's what. there's a joke in chapter one about ppl thinking lando and max are dating, but unironically, it feels sometimes like writing a ship bc of how much they love each other in this. max just knows lando so thoroughly and loves him and emma so unconditionally. he was there when she was born, and he's been there since, and he's watched lando change and grow in good ways and bad, so he's really instrumental in moving my silly little plot along. there are so many interesting dynamics in this to me (lando/oscar, lando/emma, lando/max, emma/max, eventually oscar/emma), and i think that's what's making it such an enjoyable experience to me. it really feels like i'm building a little world to swim around in, and max is a big part of that bc he's the main through-line in all the stages of lando's life that have brought him to where we encounter him in this fic.

i feel like i'm not even expressing thoroughly enough how DEEPLY soft and gooey i feel about the nortrell in this so uh. have a snippet of My Boys and cry w me maybe:

“Oi,” Lando turns the burner off and sets the pan to cool as he fetches plates from the cabinet, “Not all of us have personal chefs to meal plan for us, mate.”

“I don’t know, both of us on this call do, right, Em?”

“Right!” Emma echoes. Lando doubts she really understands the joke, but there’s hardly anything Max can say that she won’t immediately agree with. It’s not really her fault, she’s got Lando’s own genes, after all.

“Uncle Max, when are you gonna come see me?” she adds when neither of the adults immediately fill the next silence.

The food’s ready, so Lando props his hip against the island and watches Emma as she stares at his phone, even though the screen’s black.

“Oh, soon,” Max doesn’t really make empty promises to her, so she grins at the answer. “I’m back near you this week, we can probably hang out really soon actually. Can I talk to Daddy so we can figure it out?”

“Yes,” she agrees. When she looks up to see him at the counter and not the stove, she pushes back up to her feet to hand the phone back off.

“Thank you, love,” Max says, “I love you, talk to you soon, okay?”

“Okay. Love you too,” she answers.

Lando is mostly used to it, but it still hits sometimes – Max calling him Daddy and the soft way he cares for Emma, like there’s no other option. Lando kind of thinks there hadn’t ever been, for Max; he’d looked at Lando, curled silent on the floor of his bedroom and fighting tears instead of actually breaking the news to his best friend, and said “whatever it is, mate, it’s going to be okay and I’m going to be there to help you with it.”

“Hey,” Lando switches speaker back off and pins his phone between his ear and his shoulder, “how was your holiday?”

my hawke (i named her "celerie" 😭 which is unfortunate bc i got really attached to her, LOL) is a two-handed warrior! i took the berserker and reaver specialities but mostly reaver so i could bite ppl lol 🙂‍↕️ her personality ended up being p blue!! i was trying to make her standoffish and rude in act 1 but she/i mostly chilled out by act 2 so she was very nice by the end 😆 a little too nice some might say 🤔

oohhh a lot of quest choices have been pretty interesting, that is a good question!! :O dragon age (at least da:o and da2) feel very different from bg3 as far as "morality"/messaging go... maybe i'm reading things wrong? but like i feel like i get rewarded for "evil"/"bad" actions as much as i do "good" actions, LOL 🫨 so it's been kind of weird trying to sus out what the best course of action might be 🤯 i did find the endings for isabela's and fenris's quests to be a little puzzling 🤔 (ie. they didn't feel right...) and i'm p sure i went about merrill's "incorrectly" as well... (no eluvian or clan for her 😭😭😭) so maybe my next hawke will be more adventurous :))

my da2 squad was anders (🥰🤡), isabela, and fenris!!! i have too many emotions about anders 🧍🏻‍♀️ #normal lol! but bonding w isabela over the course of the game was genuinely so nice and fun, and earning fenris's friendship felt like a huge accomplishment haha :') (esp since i was caving to anders's every whim LMAO) but i loved varric!!!!!!! number one hypeman and best storyteller in thedas 🥰 if i could romance him, i would seriously consider it hahaha

merrill is also super intriguing - so i definitely feel like i should do another run and bring her along :D !! i respect aveline but i don't think we were on the same wavelength 😆

on the whole, i think this batch of companions is my fav dragon age companion group so far 🥹 individually they're all very strong, and then it's very easy to imagine the group dynamics w just a few cut scenes!

btw babe u would Love ART's R&J. Terrence Mann is a hippy friar Laurence. Mercutio is Not in love w Romeo but Benvolio arguably is. Mercutio is as Grantaire as anyone could ever want but also as always just a tad Enjolras. This production makes u Care abt Benvolio more than I ever have before. this production pays So much attention to detail. the nurse has three separate shoe changes. Terrance Mann made me sob. bc ofc he did. At the end the two families plant a garden (symbolic?) in silence. its very song of purple summer. I'm still not sure how I feel abt it thematically but visually it was stunning. Mercutio always dies bc of Romeo but in this version its Because Of Romeo. Tybalt is Not looking to kill Anyone. the kids are played like. as kids. like they r clearly teenagers who are fighting half jokingly until it takes a turn. bc they've been told to fight each other. Also saw a student matinee so ppl in the audience Actually reacted and also half of them had never gotten the dirty jokes before seeing them played out. ALSO seeing it live. I never really registered how like masterful the tonal change w mercutios death is. ALSO one of my classmates at intermission called mercutio "the gay guy" which is true but also he felt So much less capital G Gay in this production than he does usually which is odd bc he kissed so many more men than usual. I think bc he was not in love w Romeo. ALSO they did the mercutio tybalt mid fight kiss which is my Favorite thing ever I think it is SOSO good SOSO silly SOSO in character. Benvolio had a bit of a Nick carroway vibe next to Romeo tbh. like that kind of dynamic - he knows he cant stop what's gonna happen but its gonna hurt him so much anyway.

What are your top-3 werewolf tropes (popular or obscure) or things you wish to see more in stories about/with werewolves?

ooo rly interesting question and surprisingly tough for me to answer.. i think 'tropes i hate' are probably easier to identify LOL but for some tropes i like hmmm:

i tend to enjoy werewolf transformations however it goes in that universe's werewolf lore, whether its painful and bone breaky and screamy or painful but feels good afterward or magical and painless or whatever, i think theyre all cool and they can all say a lot abt how u want ur werewolves to be viewed and what ur trying to say w them. i think my personal favorite is like, there is some level of pain but more than anything its a RELIEF to get to shift so its worth the pain. theres lots of things in life like that and growing up i could relate a lot to feeling like i was ready to burst out of my 'shell' as in body into who i REALLY was. on multiple levels lol

pack as being a better version of family was a huge one for me as a kid. i didnt have a good home life or childhood so i dreamed of finding out i was a werewolf and getting to run away and live in the woods as a wolf with a group of ppl that loved me, that was better than 'family' and meant more. tho it should also be stated this was more like a fantasy scenario for KID me; as an adult i love political dramas in fiction so complicated pack politics seem really fun to write now. i still wrote them to an extent when i was younger into my werewolf stories too but more than anything i had the dream of it being like a total freedom and actually getting to be loved as who you really were thing. i also like werewolf universes where they DONT rly have either packs of groups that function as packs, whatever works for the narrative and lore the best, but i loved the whole pack thing a lot growing up

i love werewolves being able to be used to represent so many things.. this isnt rly a trope in particular but i love the expressiveness and creativity and originality and fluidity their stories can have and i think its rly cool how many ppl can be compelled by them and attracted to the potential in these stories. theres so MUCH you can do w them that goes incredibly underutilized. if i wanted to always write a different way of looking at or approaching or relating real human experiences to werewolves, or even just slightly different ways the werewolves function (and you have so many different KINDS of werewolves; dif levels of animal and human mind combo as a four legged wolf, furry anthro werewolves, beast werewolves, etc) i would never run out of material or alternative ideas. thereis so much that can make a werewolf story a werewolf story and a werewolf a werewolf. theres so many personal reasons ive always loved and felt connected to them. this is partly getting into the 'what id love to see' thing, but just HUGE massive potential in writing abt stuff like disability for example that u just never see. werewolves r smth ive always rly deeply loved a lot and been fascinated with and i think it shows in how like Personal me talking abt werewolves tends to get lol. this wasnt rly a trope but im counting it

for more things i want more in werewolf stories.. lots of stuff specific and niche to me personally lol, but i want them to stop being so goddamn cisgender i think werewolf stories r one of those things where the way gender is handled is so unneccessarily bad SO much of the time for no reason i can see. i guess ppl want to be '''realistic''' to animals but gender does Not work like that for animals so theyre just being annoying for no reason. theres a lot of gender essentialism in a lot of werewolf stuff? which is incredibly grating. and obviusly shitty

anyway as a dif thing one of my biggest qualms w werewolf stories is that i rly dislike the incorrect 'alpha' dynamics + crazy aggression of the pack members against each other like werewolves r Biologically Evil thing that shows up a lot in werewolf stories by ppl who dont know anything abt wolves or wolf pack dynamics, or just dont care i guess. i dont care abt 'alpha/omega' shit at all i never write that kinda stuff. so i want more things that Dont use that. lol

id love to see more werewolves who Like being werewolves lol. being realistic abt like the pros and the cons here but there is NO reason why there r so few stories abt werewolves who actually like being werewolves or at least like some aspects of it. theres not enough furries writing these things i guess. oh i forgot to mention i like never think of lycanthropy as a 'curse' unless im writing it For A Reason. other characters viewing it as a curse while the werewolf doesnt, thats another story. i think its just boring and too like horror werewolf tropey to me. being able to turn into a wolf man is not a curse what the hell thats like the coolest power ever. i see ppl complaining abt how werewolves r 'too happy to just realize they have cool powers and start killing ppl they dont like for fun, i want to see them be SAD abt it' but i dont actualy see the 'enjoying murdering for fun' a lot in media so idk what theyre talking abt. i guess horror, maybe, where the werewolves r the villains? i see way more of them moping abt how hard it is to be cursed to be a furry. bite ME then if you hate it so much

So the short answer to your first question of what parts of me were put into Salena: all of them—

That’s not even an exaggeration, Salena is the first ever proper self insert I’ve made for a story! In the past, any self insert OCs I made would end up being VASTLY different characters by the time I wrote the story since I valued making them work for the narrative more than I valued making them feel like me. But with Salena, it genuinely worked. The personality, morals, reactions, bla bla bla that I would have genuinely work in the story of rise and make for really interesting dynamics with the main cast. It’s honestly hella cool to basically be writing myself and so I took it a step further and put a lot of my actual life experiences into MFIP in order to explore them more. A lot of the scenarios are things I’ve experienced, just more exaggerated for the sake of the story but ngl it feels like an AU for my own life in the best way possible.

This also kind of relates to the second question. I use MFIP as a way to critique a lot about our society and the norms and traditions and all that bullshit we’re taught. Often times, the media and Hollywood and whatever the fuck play the same narrative over and over again even if that narrative is toxic. I mean, how many romcoms have you seen that basically romanticize cheating but make it all cutesy cuz “oh they were just meant to be so it’s okay X main character cheated on their partner to end up with Y main character!”? But also I can’t just write a long ass book saying “this this and this is wrong with society” cuz that would be hella draining to read. So instead, I tried a more fun delivery.

In MFIP, it’s written to make you feel like you’re inside Salena’s mind, witnessing all their reactions and emotions and seeing the world through her lens for better or worse. And I think that will hopefully allow people to understand someone like Salena way better. Understand why Zane’s behavior isn’t okay for example, critiquing the whole “bad boy who’s obsessed with you” stereotype by showing how Salena feels in that situation. I could honestly go on and on with examples but yk I don’t wanna spoil the whole fun~

In a nutshell, I want people who have never experienced a life like Salena’s to understand and empathize with them. I want them to grow their worldview. And for people who relate to Salena, I want them to know they’re not alone. That they’re heard and they’re accepted and they deserve love just as much as Salena does.

I don’t really know how to end this tbh cuz this ramble can be a whole 15 page essay in Times New Roman 12 size font with a fucking Abstract and annotated bibliography. So I will just leave ya with this:

I went through the majority of my life feeling and alone and isolated because no one took the time to ever understand me on a more personal level that’s removed from their own biases. - i know the entire thing abt the daltons is how theyre only distinguished from each other when it comes to height but i love playing around w the idea that they have like. subtle differences in their appearance that you wont notice unless you squint and use a telescope. like william having heterochromia, jack having freckles and joe having beauty marks and whatnot (cant think of anything for averell when it comes to this trope sorry </3)

- aroacespec gay lucky luke is so real and true and my alltime fave sexuality hc. also a little transgenderism for him as a treat. sometimes

- adding to the former: luke telling ppl he got his diy top surgery scars from a brutal shootout

- i dont like the modern daltons cartoon (it kinda sucks) but i really really like how they characterized william in it (bookworm and man of many talents iirc) and i really like the idea of him potentially being a graduate/of higher education but sticking with his brothers out of loyalty/peer pressure (<- potential for him to be the black sheep of his family and give him more character than in the comics and the old cartoons)

im gonna say full anime spoilers for monogatari, and spoilers for other series too occasionally? nothing TOO huge but yea

koyomi: he talks to everyone so idk how i would do this. but for outside monogatari... i want him to talk to a boy he doesnt talk to boys enough. i think he should talk to jotaro from jjba part 3 purely because i think he'd be really intimidated and it'd be funny. either that or dirk strider because (homestuck spoilers) i think they could bond over creating splinter versions of themselves and almost killing said selves as well as their mutual self hatred

senjougahara: senjougahara has the tendency to dominate the dynamic of whoever she's with and doesnt take shit from anybody so i kinda wanna see her talk to gaen izuko. bc gaen is also someone who dominates the dynamic of whoever she's with (makes sense) but i feel like senjougahara would be extremely unwilling to put up with her and very distrustful. so thered be a lot of push back on gaens scheming that i think could be interesting. as for outside monogatari, i drew a blank on this so id say maybe sakurajima mai because... not only is that series just monogatari but for a wider audience, but mai is also senjougahara but a little bit to the left. i think since they both had mysterious supernatural starts to their relationships with their respective boyfriends they would start competing over whose start was like cooler or w/e for like basically no reason. i think it'd be funny. it'd probably start a little contentious and then just become them gushing about their boyfriends. how sweet

kanbaru: i think if she talked to sodachi she could be a very positive influence in sodachi's social life that she really needs. and i think she'd also do well in cutting down sodachi's pathological self deprecation if they got close. sodachi would try to like look cool in front of her junior and kanbaru would just be like woah youre taking breaks from college thats not good are you ok... and try to offer her help in staying motivated and healthy and all that. kanbaru's inner doctor can really shine lol. outside of mono first person that comes to mind is homura from madoka and they can talk about what absolute disaster gays they are (although homura is significantly more disaster). second person that comes to mind is serinuma kae from kiss him not me because i think they could have a blast going insane about bl together

hanekawa: id like to see her talk to gaen tooe (if it were possible) because tooes ideology challenges hanekawas and i think it could further hanekawas thinking if they managed to talk. its tough for hanekawa cause shes got her whole journey shes on so shes probably super focused on that and less on bonding w ppl or w/e. i think outside of the series itd be fun if she talked to oribe yasuna just bc yasuna is so bouncy energetic and childishly playful but also so annoying that hanekawa would be a little stumped and caught off balance. she'd end up having to go along with yasunas games and be kind of annoyed about it lol.

nadeko: kinda like koyomi nadeko has talked with too many people for me to feel like i can name a new person for a dynamic. outside of the series tho... shes very reserved so she'd have to talk to someone outgoing for anything interesting to happen... she should talk to baka from the wasteful days of high school girls. baka is so rude and would probably tease nadeko for her shyness but is also so genuinely dumb that nadeko wouldnt be offended by it for very long. baka would rope her along into her usual dumb shit which means nadeko would feel put upon but also get to have fun new experiences so cool.

hachikuji: im drawing a blank. maybe numachi, just because numachi is so negative and dark and hachikuji is so encouraging and positive. i dont think theres anyone hachikuji would like get along badly with but i think hachikuji and numachi might have some disagreements that would be an interesting dynamic. hachikuji should talk to phos from hnk because they could have a fun snappy dynamic with each other and their mutual silliness. and also because phos really needs someone like hachikuji in their life 😭. other than that maybe clara valac? theyre both chaotic i think they'd have fun together :)

tsukihi: should talk to kaiki because kaiki would be totally defeated by her. tsukihi brings misfortune to everyone and he knows this so he'd be really annoyed by having to talk to her. the worst part is she would probably critique his lifestyle and philosophy and not even be wrong about it and hed have no choice but to deal with it. in exchange for not bringing it up he would have to pay her off with snacks and cute clothes. shed prolly also be genuinely pissed at him for messing with karen so he'd have to lose a Lot of money and she'd make him lose a lot on purpose, not as much because she wants the stuff but more because she knows he wants the money. she should talk to suzumiya haruhi theyre both forces of nature theyd have a wonderful time unknowingly making the lives of everyone around them 1000x more annoying. they'd like feed off each other it'd be great. they've got like equally low attention spans so theyd go pursuing a new really ambitious project like every week and have a fun time with it. theyre mutually very bored i think they'd get along.

karen: karen should talk to kagenui and do a training montage with her. they'd do a training montage that's what they'd do. karen would adopt kagenui as her mentor after like 3 seconds. im not sure who to have her talk to from outside mono. maybe someone she can mentor instead of her being the mentee. actually i think itd be hilarious if she tried to mentor bocchi. like specifically in like martial arts and physical fitness. and bocchi would be like yes i can get stronger and then all the girls will love me so shes up for it but karen would be just so bad at teaching that it wouldnt amount to anything. but she wouldnt know how bad she is at it and would just keep trying to push through... bless her heart

yotsugi: should talk to senjougahara bc they are both monotone and acerbic it'd be a monotone-and-acerbic-off. who will win. (senjougahara would bring up yotsugi's old catchphrase and win bc yotsugi would die of cringe). i'd like her to talk to iruma because iruma is so sweet and yotsugi would probably be a little rude but also a little nice to him. and then she would make him do stuff for her every now and then bc he cant say no lol. she'd probably use him to pamper herself tbh

sodachi: itd be interesting if she ever talked to shinobu bc she'd be like wow you attached yourself eternally to THAT guy? lame and then she'd like openly mock her. shinobu would probably haughty about it like who cares about the words of a mere human (she does). i think itd be cute if she talked to anya for similar reasons that i think kanbaru should talk to her, only amplified bc anya can literally mind read all her self deprecation and try to cheer her up without letting her know she can read her mind in the way anya tends to. itd be very cute. sodachi would have a lot of fun spoiling her and being like a cool big sister figure. very sweet 😌

shinobu: shes not really interested in talking to people outside of koyomi so im not sure for this one. oops

ougi: i want ougi to talk to meme. the uncle dynamic would be amazing. all the better since ougi seems to dislike being compared to him. theyre both slippery vague people who tend to talk in confusing ways and i think they would have philosophical discussions that would go NOWHERE because neither of them gets to the point. i think ougi would try to critique his ideology and meme would just rebuff the criticism. and then he could bust out the uncley affection (but only in a slightly ironic/indirect way bc hes a tsundere) and itd be very cute (although i think ougi would absolutely hate it lmao). as for outside of the series i have many thoughts about these. like how i think araragi should talk to dirk i think ougi should talk to hal. they would understand each other and also them being together for any period of time upwards of 1 minute would make everyone in the vicinity have an instant migraine. and they could definitely talk philosophy together too! i also think ougi could talk to oreki houtarou from hyouka bc hes got that whole detective mystery solving thing going on and ougi would absolutely love to ask him to solve some mystery and be his watson. and of course theyd also try to lead him around into some dark path which he'd be wary of but might still fall for despite what happened with irisu. another fool for ougi to mess with. but that might be a dynamic too similar to araragis so i also also think ougi could talk to chitanda. ougi could probably pull out some kinda repression from chitanda but chitanda is just so genuine that she would handle it very well and it wouldnt turn into any kind of disaster as ougi would hope it to. really i think they could just bond over their love of mysteries. ougi needs a fellow mystery lover to talk to. (although oreki might also be a fan of mysteries too, partly in novels and stuff and partly irl, i think chitandas bright and loud enthusiasm about it could let her and ougi geek out together and itd be fun 😄)

so, i got into haikyuu in... 2021? i want to say? that sounds right. i had a lot of free time and i had been playing mystic messenger (lol) and i wanted something to keep me occupied between chat rooms so i was looking for things to watch! i don't really remember why i decided to watch haikyuu, that was when it was on netflix so it may have been as simple as "i want to watch an anime, oh this one looks neat and i've heard about it before"

as for what made me stay.... not sure! it was really engaging and i remember the matches had me on the edge of my seat and freaking out in my bedroom and i was like "i can't believe a volleyball anime is captivating me (<- not a sports person)"

and the characters too! they're all well written and i always enjoy when creators give us extra information (character sheets). and i latched onto suga really hard and never let go. this was also a few months after the second part of season 4 wrapped up so the fandom was pretty active which helped.

trying to think of any iwaoisuga headcanons i have that i haven't discussed here... i've been thinking about pets a lot! about two years ago i made a whole bunch of pet headcanons but those are kinda outdated now. i've changed my mind.

i think iwa already has a dog when they start dating. an akita he got in high school named kenji! (she is a girl but is named kenji because they thought she was a boy and the name stuck) when iwaizumi told oikawa he was naming her this, oikawa was like "AFTER FUTAKUCHI??" and iwa was like "who?" [doesn't remember names]

anyway. oikawa has a love hate relationship with her. she is, all things considered, a lovely and well behaved dog but she's also very stubborn and doesn't always want to listen to oikawa specifically. also oikawa in my mind is the type of guy who would get kinda jealous over a dog. [in a... silly way, not a serious toxic way]

suga loves her <33 they're besties... she loves him too, very excited when suga comes to the apartment. animals and children love sugawara koushi. bc he's so cool and has a comforting presence.

(and then i have thoughts about a cat too! but i have a wip about this so i won't go into detail)

some other headcanons/thoughts on their dynamic (many are inspired by conversations i've had with friends - shout out to ash and bex specifically)

i think suga specifically has a way of bringing out iwa's sillier side. a little better than oikawa can. suga tells people that iwaizumi is the funniest guy he knows and people are like "... Him?" because funny isn't the first word they think of when they think iwaizumi hajime. but suga thinks he's very funny. they both really enjoy puns and jokes that other people would argue are bad.

as we know, oikawa can be dramatic and overreacts to things sometimes. it is very intentional and he does it because he know it annoys iwaizumi. suga likes to enable him sometimes because he ALSO likes seeing iwaizumi exasperated

iwaoi have many silly arguments. suga likes listening to these silly arguments and thinks they are very entertaining. (the fact that he's endeared/entertained and not annoyed by this is how they knew it was meant to be)

suga also likes when iwaoi get competitive over silly things. (suga is also a guy who gets competitive over silly things but the things he gets competitive over doesn't always overlap with what iwaoi are getting competitive over) sometimes oikawa talks about winning at being a boyfriend and iwa is like "you can't win at that" but iwa is also invested in 'winning' at being a boyfriend. <- they are not serious, ofc. i must make it clear this is in a silly way, not a toxic way. they have a healthy relationship.

before they started hanging out with suga, iwa always teased oikawa for not having much of a spice tolerance. and then they started hanging out with suga and iwa realized that compared to suga, he ALSO doesn't have much of a spice tolerance. suga often has to tone down spicy meals he cooks for them because his spice tolerance is absurdly high. iwa indulges him sometimes too though... even if it means his mouth will be burning.

i like lots of suga ships other than iwaoisuga!! i really enjoy kurosuga and i've made a few posts about it!! also a fan of sugaten but i haven't really made any posts about them. i think they're neat though. and sugayaku! sugayaku is lovely and really cute. very underrated too. ASASUGA!!! asasuga is so cute. i think about asahi calling to suga to set to him a Lot. there are others but these are the 'big' ones i would say.

i am very picky about daisuga though, i like when some of my mutuals do it and i like poly ships with daisuga (asadaisuga, kurodaisuga, etc) but otherwise i usually only talk about their dynamic platonically lol.

Let me just explain my identity headcanons for them: Andrew is a (soft?) butch(4femme) bear/cub, agenderflux + gender apathetic trans man, gay man (ofc), and I see him as greyromantic/demiromantic too. I FIRMLY believe he has BPD, possibly BPD with ASPD traits. Neil is a butchy femme otter, genderfluid (genderfaunet specific) trans man, he/she, unlabelled achillean, demisexual (ofc) but also demiromantic, greysexual, greyromantic, and maybe nebularomantic/sexual too. I also lowkey like foxgender + catgender for him. I think he also has BPD, and autism. WHEW!!!!

I like the idea that Allison specifically helped Neil discover his femme identity :3c like, he took interest in her makeup and feminine fashion, and she helped him explore that. This is dear to me. I am very big into Neil wearing long skirts and feminine clothing, makeup, gold jewellery, and I think Andrew fucks w some eyeliner and silver jewellery too, and maybe the occasional dark coloured long skirt >:3 . I love the idea of Andrew being goth or having a style like that, but I'm not personally part of those subcultures so idk much about them!

With their relationship..... I am big into them being cuddlers & gentle & cute with each other. Obviously, they will never be a "typical" affectionate couple bcuz of their trauma & PTSD, but I like to think of them (especially Andrew) learning the gentleness of non-sexual intimacy & touch w each other, and I think they feel a love so strongly for each other, it changes them, allows them to understand softness and gentleness in their own ways.

I think Neil constantly buys Andrew sweet little treats, Andrew constantly wears Neil's clothing & buys Neil gifts (especially fox related things), they subtly but intentionally match clothing or accessory items. I am big into the idea Andrew loves to read too, IDC!!!! I KNOW that man enjoys curling up w some blankets and hot chocolate by a fire readinf some books. Is he waiting every day only to be crushed? Does he confused non-Debbie features with Nolan’s? I suppose I’m not the most enthusiastic about non-power AUs, but I think there’s something very fun to explore about Mark having to settle with, if he knows all his life, he will never have powers? I think the trajectory of his dreams will obviously shift, I can see him still having that distinct fatherly idolization, but perhaps embraces being useful to the GDA? Cecil’s number one intern—only intern—curtesy of nepotism, ha! There is something tickling me about Mark taking the Robin Route/Role for the Teen Team in terms of having no powers, just insane skills, BUT there’s something way more delicious about intern Mark when s1e01 happens and Mark tries snooping around to find out the truth about what happened to his Dad.

I wonder if, with Mark having a whole another father, if they’re more or less distant relationship, depending on WHEN Nolan entered Mark’s life? Like if Debbie met Nolan later for this, or just for fun, they dated once, separated (Mark being born during then), then they happened to stumble into each others lives again and Mark’s already been born, anywhere from tween to teenager so there’s a gap in how close they are. I feel like one important aspect of the whole Family Drama is how close they’re supposed to be, a functional, loving family turned upside down? So I wonder what more distance does. I wonder how Nolan copes when his family is entirely human and he can’t project onto Mark.
