On the other hand, there is some realllly good upgrade shit in Literal Actual Hell, and the dragonbarrow teleporter puts you right in front of a site of grace! How generous <3
One of my favourite things about Elden Ring's world design is that if you go too far right when you're exploring the starting area, you'll accidentally end up in Actual Hell™.
The developers saw this and instead of making it difficult for early game players to reach Actual Hell™, they plopped down an easily jumpable waist-high wall and chose to add no less than two ways for players to accidentally get teleported into the middle of Actual Hell™ through no fault of their own. One sends you to the even more dangerous area right behind a gigantic gargoyle, and the other sends you to the mines that are patrolled by horrific and terrible insect monsters that will most likely one shot you. If you escape the mines, you are met with a swamp of rot and despair, and an empty town full of invisible magic ghosts that want to kill you.
