if i could have the show change anything, it'd be the kiss in tbotl. everything pretty much stays the same. he screams at her to get out because they don't have time to think of a plan. and she still kisses him. except this time around. he tries to kiss her back but she pulls away before he can. i think it would allow them to acknowledge the mutual desire for what could have been if they had time. but they can't ever be because time isn't on their side.

one of the really underappreciated facets of the PJO series to me is that the first series (and TKC) are in-universe explicitly published series. Their own books exist in their universe. Percy is a published author in the riordanverse! The Kane Siblings recorded their adventures on tapes and in-universe Rick Riordan transcribed their messages!

Like, there's so much you can do with that! Characters in-universe having encountered the books before actually meeting Percy and learning that everything in the books are true. An adaptation where instead of having their adventures transcribed, Percy and/or the Kanes make youtube vlogs describing everything and splicing in random shaky footage of them fighting monsters and running away and using their powers and their audiences just think they're really good at editing and effects. I mean, even in canon already Austin Lake is established to run a successful youtube channel!

Give me demigods on social media who mortals just assume are like tumblr's wizard roleplayers but no literally everything they post is 100% true.

i know we've talked about wolf jason, and we've definitely talked about bird jason, but have we considered both? a jason that howls with wolves and sings with birds. a jason that is more often found running through the forest and hanging from trees than in either camp. and with his good looks he'd be easy to mistake as a nature spirit. a jason who learns to laugh with the dryads when he's mistaken for one of them. a jason who, like the gods he's decended from, is easily molded by belief. a jason who becomes one with the forest as people forget he's a demigod. a jason who has to learn to be human again as his duties require it.

Have you guys ever...... met a Mediterranean person in real life? Or anyone with an olive skin tone for that matter. Him being pale is just as valid as him being tan. It's not white washing. It's something that naturally happens to us.

Most of us turn sickly pale during the winter. Every year I have to remind myself for 4 full months that I'm actually not the ugliest creature that has ever spawned on this earth. I look like a zombie. When the sun comes out again I feel like one of those snakes when they shed their dead skin.

Now for us it's just 4 months, 6 at most. But Nico spends most of the saga underground. Of course he's gonna be pale???

Just so you can compare here's two pictures of my skintone when I was around Nico's age. Left is winter and right is summer. I'm outdoors in both of them.

I do agree that by TSATS his skin tone probably went back to being somewhat tan but at the end of the day both are correct. So do whatever you want.

edit: just in case I'm not saying people who are pale are ugly. But I find that most of us who tan during the summer tend to look kinda undead during the winter. Especially compared to people who cannot naturally tan, who usually look just fine.

Going feral as I think about my greek soulmates percabeth who were Perseus and Andromeda in a past life and Odysseus and Penelope in another. Falling in love in every lifetime. Finding each other every time. Their love is true and unconditional. Listening to “Would You Fall In Love With Me Again” from Epic and thinking about post Tartarus Annabeth having to cope and deal with the more cruel and dark version of Percy she saw in the pit and coming out the other side still loving him. He hesitates before reaching for her and his touch is so gentle and barely there, his hands tremble slightly as if he’s afraid he’ll hurt her and Annabeth is sure that no matter what he does, he’ll always be hers. He’ll always be her love. He’ll always be her best friend and soulmate. She’ll always love him.
