anywho, yes i finally watched it. and i actually loved it??? like it felt so nostalgic even though i like watched the originals billions of times with my father. but bro it felt so different just hearing the old ost and ambience dude. like holy shitttt😭. it was so so so so great watching it. nice seeing the spirits/ghosts like shootingv stars in a way? felt so bad when i saw egons death from the chair (rip :(() it made me honestly happy to see phoebe have characteristics from her grandfather like MWAH. ik it’s just curly hair and glasses but idc top notch tbh.

she so silly though i love her and her jokes. ig the landlord was nice enough to change the locks when they’re out (like that won’t matter for her) made me feel so happy that egon wanted to play chess (or it couldve been some other ghost) and play with phoebe. i wish i got to see it in theaters and not beeen like “wahhh wahhh its a new movie from a older movie that i love its gonna be terrible!!” imd, i saw halloween kills that year and it was pretty decent, so i thought it was just gonna be BLEH or something ig. but Podcast honestly reminded me of Ray ngl like THEIR HAIRRRR‼️

im sure they did it intentionally but ibjust love it man. and ray knowing podcast’s podcast. LIKE that warmed my heart man😭😭😭. it was honestly sweet that egon was directing with the lights and showing phoebe what to do to fix the proton blaster like awhhhh 😭😭. OH AND THEM FINDING THE GHOSTBUSTERS CAR LIKE AHHHH. but honestly such a cool sweet heart warming story. i sure did miss gozer tbh. big surprise to see jk simmons there tbh😭 and then split in half poor fellow just wanted to rule the world too ig

just loved it when she said it here too “are you a god?” 😭😭 and then ray had to remember silky ray. but so sweet to see that egon help out phoebe and see thebold gang and hugging his daughter :(((. even though he said like NOTHING it was still so so so sweet. i bet harold ramis would be so proud of this movie if there is an afterlife perchance. i should be like doing schoolwork right now but here i am rantijg to like 2 of my closest friends EVER (ily both so so much if you even read this) or even the internet 😭😭😭 but oh well.

kinda myv only complaint about the film is that they just deepened the voices ofbthe mom and gooberson when they were possessed by gatekeeper and keymaster and even the eyes were very red like ik it was like that KINDA in the first film but cmon man. anywho rant over. WAY BETTER THAN THE 2016 VERSION.

ADOW Season 3 Thoughts [Spoilers Heavy]

Finally finished ADOW S3 and wow. Just wow. Still in shock that it’s over but here are my thoughts on the last season. (also, I have not read the third book yet, so I will make another post afterwards, this will be based on show only)

Bishmont will forever and always be a part of me, I love them to death and I think that this season wrapped up their story well enough (gotta read time’s convert soon). Their love story is one of the best I’ve seen (and read), Matthew & Teresa did an absolutely wonderful and fantastic job of portraying them both and their love for one another. Chemistry is off the charts, and there were plenty of moments/nuances between them, that I loved this season. Their “goodbye” to each other at ep. 6 and Matthew waking up brought some tears to my eyes, and THAT scene in ep. 5 ;) And the birth of the twins!!!! They did it so well, I think the birthing is my favorite thing of s3 ngl (tho Ysabeau should’ve been there), and that dance at the end was just perfect~! Besides the fact that it was funny how they were casually dancing and making out while everyone else was just doing their own thing, I guess you can say they’re in their own world ;) Also them being parents just warms my heart, so many “aww” moments. 

Matthew calling Diana mon coeur and ma lionne has set the standards for me, because I mean c’mon how can it not?

Miriam & Chris? I SHIP THEM SO HARD, they had really good chemistry in the short amount of scenes we see them in, I’m not sure if it’s like that in the books but I’m going to stick with it. 

Chris & Fernando really came in and said “people love us” and there’s no doubt about that. 

Jack having blood rage surprised me a bit but I got over it real quick. He’s like a bean with anger issues lol but still a bean. 

Idk if we were supposed to feel pity for Benjamin but I surely didn’t.

Satu really became the next Peter Knox huh? Sorry (NOT) but she had it coming.

Phoebe & Marcus? C U T E!! Can’t wait to read Time’s Convert. Truth be told, I liked them way more in S3 than in S2 for some reason and I have no idea why....

Baldwin was iffy to me. He’s literally such a jerk but he’s not a bad guy. Liked him so much more towards the end of the season, I liked the moments between him and Matthew, and him and Ysabeau. 

Gallowglass, dear dear Gallowglass. My poor boi. Tbh, him liking Diana was kind of out of nowhere to me? I never really got that sense from him while watching the show (maybe in the books it’s more fleshed out), but I rlly just felt bad for him because he’s pining for someone he can never have. If I didn’t like Matthew as much as I did, I could see him with Diana. He deserves to find happiness for himself so hopefully Deborah will write a book on him? Pretty please? He is one of my favorite characters. 

Agatha Wilson, Sarah Bishop, Ysabeau DeClermont, Miriam Sheppard, Phoebe Taylor, Diana Bishop are quite literally ✨BADASS QUEENS ✨

The fights/conclusion of the villains in ADOW was kind of anti-climatic for me. I was kind of expecting more tbh, like with Knox I didn’t think he’d be taken out just like that, Benjamin.... was kind of expecting the others to take him down but I’m fine with how he went out with Diana and her Goddess’s arrow, and with Satu... was expecting some actual fight? But then again Diana is so overpowered at this point that I shouldn’t have expected much LMAO

The magic moments never fail to excite and amaze me. 

Ransom and Geraldine, would’ve liked to see more of them.

Domenico coming through at the end was great. 

The twins!! Rebecca & Philip are precious and will grow up with lots of love. That moment at the Christening when the priest was asking about the God parents and like 10 people stood up had me laughing, but it was great. Also, I’m still a bit puzzled on what the twins actually are. I know Rebecca is a vampire? And Philip is a witch? But it seems like they’re both? But it wasn’t really specified, or did I just miss it and is actually dumb? LOL

Marcus & Matthew & Jack: Matthew has much to make up for and improve on (he is quite a flawed character but he’s trying to be better), but I think he’s a good father-ish (with Jack, but he needs to be way better for Marcus) and will be a better one with the twins. Loved seeing his moments with his sons, and he looks way too good with babies <333

Diana’s outfit when going to the Congregation? ABSOLUTELY STUNNING and Agatha becoming the new leader? As she should.

Good ol’ Hamish.

Timothy deserved better and Philip should’ve been alive to see the twins. 

The DeClermont family is the best family. (problematic but also very wholesome)

Overall, though difficult to come in terms that ADOW has ended, the season was a good one and a good conclusion to the story. Thank you to Deborah Harkness for creating these characters and story that we know and love and to the wonderful and irreplaceable cast that played them. Thank you to Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer for giving us such a impactful performance and giving us Matthew & Diana. I hope to see you guys work together again.

Other than the completely unnecessary mention of Phoebe and Pete Davidson, I really enjoyed Simone’s Glamour interviews, both of them in fact!

Ngl, I was surprised when Simone mentioned that she was in the process of starting her own production company, but given that she had said this earlier in the interview, I think it make a lot of sense?

Also important to Ashley: “I'm interested in culturally specific roles, but also very much so non-culturally specific ones. I want to go up for roles that anyone can relate to. I want to be seen for my talent. I think I'm very smart and I've got great ideas, and I want to be seen for that and not for how I look.”

She says she’s been offered “a lot of Bollywood stuff,” which isn’t really the trajectory she sees her career taking. “I said no to a lot of that because I want to change it up,” she says. “I want to take roles that maybe people wouldn't expect me to play.”

Especially when you take in the full context of what she said when she talked about starting her own production company:

I’m looking into developing things, taking baby steps, but I think it’s really exciting to be in a position where things are being put in front of you, but you’re given a microphone. I’m really hoping that the hype and momentum surrounding Simone carries on after the show drops, because it sounds as though she knows what she wants to do and achieve, and it would be so nice to see her succeed! I’m so intrigued to see what her next role after Bridgerton will be, and what moves come next for her.

And yess, Simone talking about her mum! I know Simone is private, but I do find it lovely when she shares little tidbits about her family (her dad and his record player), and her mum, who just seems really supportive of Simone? It’s just really nice to read about.

⚠️ OOUIN SPOILERS ⚠️

This post will have spoilers containing important plots of the book. If you have not read the book or are planning to read the book, please keep scrolling. These are opinions.

Alright babies. Let’s talk about OOUIN and it’s plots.

Point 1: Maeve/Luis: let me just say, I called them getting together ever since she mentioned she liked him. I’m pretty good at knowing who ends up with who, and ngl, they were really cute. They gave me major Bronwyn/Nate vibes, and I love them even more for that. I thought she was gonna end up with Knox because of the usual “main characters get together” plots books have, but I’m pretty happy it was Luis and Maeve. I loved it when Luis said he would change for her, because it immediately tied back to Nate. They were both willing to change with the girl they liked, and honestly, 100% will go down with both ships.

Point 2. Maeve: I love her. She’s amazing. She’s still her hacker self. The only thing that upset me is that it took her practically half the book to admit she had signs of remission. I’m just so happy that she’s okay.

Point 2: Knox: I love Knox with my whole heart. He truly deserves the world and every good thing that comes with it. I felt so bad when his secret got exposed, and I wish it didn’t have to be like that. Anyway, there’s not really a lot to say about him because he’s honestly amazing.

Point 3: Phoebe: let me just tell you, I really thought it was her that was running the game at some point towards the end. Everything started pointing towards her, and I honestly would have been shocked. She really kept everything under wraps if it was her too. Her secret was bad, yes. She should have told her sister from the start that she hooked up with him. Brandon and her was just ridiculous and honestly fuck Brandon. I felt no sympathy when he died. I’m not saying it was a good thing, but I didn’t care for him. The fact that he had the nerve to show up at her house and assault her? piece. of. shit.

Point 4. Knox/Maeve: I love these two. They have an amazing friendship and was really screaming at my book to let them make up with each other when their secret was exposed. Honestly, I was not surprised these two figured out who Intense Guy was. They make and amazing team and deserve the world. I was scared they weren’t going to make up with each other, but all is well.

Point 5. Knox/Phoebe: this is going to be short and simple because there isn’t a lot, but I don’t mind them at all. I kind of started figuring they were going to be a thing or have an indication that they would be a thing later on once they started to hang out. I guess it still holds that main characters get together, lol.

Point 6. Bayview Four: MY BABIES. I’m so proud of Cooper. He’s gotten so far, and also deserves the entire world. Him and Kris are still beautiful as ever, and deserve their happy ending. Addy is still the bad bitch she is. She’s an amazing, independent woman who did all that. She cares deeply for her friends and I don’t want her to change. Nate and Bronwyn. Oh my gosh. I’m still in love with them and will be. Nate really fixed up his act and got a job + went to community college. The fact that he risked his life to save Bronwyn, please get married. Bronwyn is still beautiful as ever, and sweet as ever. I hope they get the good things they deserve.

Point 7. Emma/Owen: this was a complete shocker. If anybody tells me they saw this coming, they’re lying to me. No way in hell you would have known she was working with Intense Guy for a period of time. The fact that she knew the day after about Phoebe/Derek and didn’t say anything/got mad many months later is ridiculous. Owen was even more shocking. Like, my dude. This wasn’t a game. He really unintentionally got a guy killed. Yikes

The saga of Phoebe’s love life continues...

The whole thing barely constitutes a fight it was really just him acting like a dick and me getting pissed at him for it but I’ll spill anyway for you kind people hehe

So the restaurant I work at has this HUGE back room we call the Dance Hall that people can rent out to host events for hundreds of people. The day we “fought” a 50 year high school reunion was being held back there, and my manager Julie asked me to staff it. 

Obviously, I said yes because she’s my boss lmao, so about halfway through my shift I left my usual spot working with him™ to help serve at the event per her request. I was there for maybe an hour or so when he came in and asked if I could come back out front to help because they were getting busy. I told him to ask Julie if it was okay and if she said yes I would. He was definitely frustrated with my answer because they were super busy and he could’ve used my help, but like I couldn’t leave because our manager told me to work this event so there wasn’t anything I could do. 

He never came back to tell me I could leave, so I stayed and finished working  the event.  I was helping clean up when my manager pulled me aside and asked what I did to him because he was apparently super pissed. And at this point I didn’t even know he was angry with me, I just attributed his frustration earlier to stress from the dinner rush, so I told her I didn’t know what she was talking about. And then she says “Well [boy] just pulled me aside and gave his two weeks notice. He’s quitting and apparently it's because of you”

And now I’m just wondering what the fuck happened while I was away because I have no idea what the hell going on.  But now the event is over so I can go back out front. 

And its dead quiet. There’s maybe one table left because we’re supposed to close in 10 minutes, but the air is like super tense and I can tell it was a rough night.  I know he’s working the register so I walk over to ask what happened and if he needed any help because I was free now. Homeboy just looks up at me and sneers. And with a scoff, he just says “oh piss off”

Yall my jaw dropped. But I'm not one for confrontation, so I just laughed in disbelief turned to walk away.

We had been friends for a while, and I’d liked him for months at this point, and we had never fought before. He’d never gotten upset with me or anything because we generally just got along really well. So I was very surprised and ngl very hurt that this was happening now. This was the last shift we were going to work together because I was leaving for college in 2 days,  and this is how we were going to end things.

I left that shift assuming that was going to be our last interaction ever...

BUT in a twist, he actually came by work the next day ( the day before I moved away) to speak to me because he knew I’d be there. And I’ll leave it at that for now hehe....
