So last night I found a few random episodes of that Disk Wars anime. Today I was thinking about adding their Tony to a Group meeting, and dusted off that tab in my old planning spreadsheet. Found these notes:

Is there a MLP:FiM Tony and if not should there be?

Absolutely there should be, but the real question is: what size is he? Like a full sized horse? Or perhaps a whimsical Shetland pony size? Or more like a living toy, and attending the Tiny Tony meeting??

what do the tony's (+ natasha) call each other? they can't really call each other tony, it'd probably get too confusing ("hey tony" "yeah" "wassup" "yeah?" "yes?" "no, not you, that one" "me?" "me?" "no, you." "me?" "ugh") and get old quick. and calling each other their universe codes would probably be too much of a mouthful. do they call each other nicknames like "tasha" and "kid(do)" and "grumps" exclusively? what are the other nicknames ? (love this au btw !!! <3)

Thank you! Sorry I have no idea how old this message is. 😭 Tbh I figure it's a mix of name + context clues, nicknames, and shortened versions of reality numbers.

If someone is looking directly at you, they don't need to address you by name to indicate that they're talking to you. A few extra people might look up if someone just shouts "Hey Tony," but it's usually quickly clear who specifically is being addressed. But there is definitely plenty of "Grumps," "Kiddo," "Sparkles," etc thrown around too, yeah.

In my mind, 616 Tony particularly tends to think of the others as "____ version of Me." In at least one rough draft I have him call Tasha "Babe Me." He also uses abbreviated reality numbers, like calling MCU Tony "Nines" (for Earth-199999).

headcanon that 616! tony would look and move like a flip book in these meetings,,, like, his being flickers between different designs over the years, but also his colouring, the effects, and he just has the slightly stiff yet smooth movement of a paper animation,,, like Hobie from spider-verse,,,

Oh that's really cool, I can see that! It also works well with that other idea from a trillion years ago, where he might spontaneously pop into a different design for a second when he's having a particularly jumbled month, in terms of having wildly different writers and artists on 616-based books that are releasing simultaneously.

hello! i know you haven't posted here in a while, but new stevetony dynamic just dropped!

idk if you've heard of the new ultimate universe (mostly unrelated to the original one), but ultimates #1 (the avengers-aligned title) came out yesterday, and it features a teenage tony with daddy issues, a freshly-defrosted steve with a revolutionary streak, and a bit of longing/envy for earth-616 as "what they could've/should've been"

it's a very new universe (there's been less than 20 cumulative issue published so far), so you can easily read everything (i have a reading order here), but if you only want steve and tony's story, it's just ultimate invasion #1-4 > ultimate universe #1 > the ultimates #1 > the second story in 'free comic book day 2024: ultimate universe/spider-man' (though this one was more of a sneak peek and might be set after/during a later ultimates issue, it's the obligatory confusing one lol)

Thank you so much for the rec and reading orders! 💕 I am in fact back on my superhero bullshit since Free Comic Book Day (though for me that's mostly just involved acquiring an armful of completely random issues of various things, and rewatching Avengers Assemble episodes). I probably even saw that ultimate comic at my local comic shop on that day, but ignored it due to my unwarranted bias against anything related to the Ultimates 😅 But maybe I'll go back and give it a fairer shake.

My heart absolutely yearns to revive this blog, but I still feel like I don't have anything worthy of posting yet. But I did spend the other day shaking @ahsokaisawesome by the shoulders and frantically detailing a AA/MCU crossover fic treatment at her, so I know the embers of my multiverse love are still smouldering.

You should check out Avengers Twilight. It’s current comic mini set in a post apocalyptic 616 with Old Man Steve that was stripped of his title AND serum and most superheroes are outlawed. And he pines for the old days and very Dead Tony especially and yadayada he gets what’s left of the Avengers back together etc

Tony and Jan’s son has been raised by the fascist government! He’s an evil Iron Man and Old Man Steve calls him James!

if you read the current 4/5 (I think that’s who many is out and will be?) you can see what this Steve’s Tony was like (and don’t look it up unless you want a very good spoiler) and their dynamic is AMAZING

I know this blog has been on hiatus for like 2 million years, but I just wanted to say that I still think about the Marvel multiverse at the most random times. For example, at work today I came across a bit of paperwork that was labeled Form 17628, and the number lit up in my brain like a neon sign.

Okay but what about Tonys having armor design jam sessions together? Like one time they draw reality numbers from a hat and design a suit for another Tony inspired by the particular quirks of their universe. Or they do a pass-around game where every X minutes they have to swap blueprints with someone else.

I may or may not have found your blog and got inspired by the Tony dynamics for that MCU x AA piece… ;;w;; I absolutely adore how you draw and write them all interacting with one another, and MCU Tony just being such a dad to most of them watered my crops for yEARS— I love them a normal amount, your Honor, I swear!!

When I first saw your art I was kinda "I wonder if...." but then I told myself to stop being arrogant because multiverse stuff has been around 5ever and convergent evolution is extremely common in fandom. My brain got preoccupied with a parade of other fandoms, several of which I haven't even mentioned on my main account because I never produced anything postable for them.

Funny timing for this message though, because just this week I've been rereading this blog and kinda getting into the mood for it. But life remains busy so will I do anything about it? Idk. Depends on how people feel about half-assed text posts, because I haven't had any drawing energy for weeks.
