Fluffvember - blanket fort
Nine heroes trudged down the path, weariness in every step. It had been a long day. The sun had recently set, and a chill was setting in.
They came over a hill. In the distance, warm lights glowed.
“A town!” exclaimed Hyrule.
“Perhaps we’ll be able to sleep in beds tonight,” murmured Time, rolling his shoulders.
They picked up the pace, energized by the promise of warmth and hylian company. The mood was audibly lighter as they chattered and teased each other. It felt like no time at all before they were passing the farms on the outskirts of town.
A farmer eyed them with suspicion as they walked by. Twilight smiled broadly and called, “Good evenin’!” He’d been more melancholy than usual around sunset, but now he seemed in better spirits. The farmer’s face quirked into a smile and he gave a little wave, hostility melting in the face of the Rancher’s warmth.
The entrance to the town proper was marked by an arch bearing a sign none of them could read, familiar-unfamiliar letters painted in bold strokes. They passed underneath and entered the town.
The streets were quiet. Most of the buildings had signs with pictures alongside the unintelligible words, helpfully hinting at their purpose. They passed a blacksmith shop, a clothing boutique, a jeweler’s shop, and a potion shop before finding a promising-looking place. The sign hanging above the door featured a crescent moon over a bed.
Inside, they found a man wearing a hat shaped amusingly like an upside-down vase, absorbed in a letter. He glanced up at their entry and waved them over.
“And how can I help you?” he asked. Every time he tilted his head, his hat wobbled dangerously.
“We’d like rooms for the night,” answered Time.
The man looked them over, obviously counting, and asked with a hint of doubt, “All of you?”
“Yes,” Time said evenly.
A pause, then the man said, “I have four rooms I can give you. That will be 180 rupees.”
Warriors stepped forward and counted out the money. Once the man was satisfied, he called, “Ellen! Take these gentlemen to their rooms, would you?”
The young woman who had appeared at his words led them upstairs and down a long hallway. Two rooms on the left and two on the right were theirs, so they would be just across the hall from each other.
Ellen promised to be back with an extra cot, then left them to sort out sleeping arrangements themselves.
One of the rooms had only a bunk bed, but the other three had two single beds each. Warriors claimed a single bed away from the window, and Hyrule flopped onto the other one, looking surprised when it bounced. Four made a beeline for the bottom bunk. There was a brief argument over who would take the top bunk. Sky offered, but Four pointed out that he tended to end up halfway off his bedroll by morning, so sleeping several meters off the ground could be a bad idea. Wind took the top bunk instead, scurrying up the ladder like he’d been born in the crow’s nest.
Ellen came back with a narrow folding cot. The boys jumped to help her set it up in the room with the bunk bed. She left looking distinctly flustered. Time chuckled.
Legend and Wild offered to sleep on the cot at the same time. While they were busy trying to verbally outmaneuver each other, Twilight turned into a wolf and curled up on the cot, effectively ending the discussion. Time only hummed and murmured, “Don’t get caught.” Twilight huffed.
That left two rooms and four beds. Time and Sky paired up, leaving Legend and Wild to share the last room.
Everyone settled in, shedding armor and shields and swords and boots, pulling out extra blankets to guard against the chill breeze coming through the gaps around the windows. In the middle of town, with four walls and a roof overhead, there was no need for a night watch. A full night’s sleep was a rare luxury. None of them intended to waste it.
An hour after they’d all gone to sleep, Wind whispered into the dark, “Smithy?”
Twilight’s ears flicked and he raised his head. Four mumbled, “Mm. Yeah?”
“…I’m cold,” Wind confessed.
Four considered that, then replied, “I’ve got an idea.”
He climbed up the ladder and joined Wind on the top bunk. Ignoring the Sailor’s bafflement, he untucked the sheets from around the bed and tossed them over the side of the rail so that they hung down like curtains, securing them with the edge of the thin mattress. Then he climbed down, gesturing for Wind to join him.
“Grab your pillow, too.”
The two boys tugged the curtain-sheets out of the way and clambered into their homemade fort. Sure enough, the sheets kept out the chill and kept in their body heat. The enclosed space slowly warmed up. Wind snuggled into Four’s side and sighed gratefully.
“Thanks, Smithy.”
Already starting to drift off again, Four sleepily responded, “Anytime, Sailor.”
Twilight poked his nose in. When Wind patted the mattress, he leapt onto the bed and curled up by their feet, warming their toes. The three heroes were soon sleeping soundly.
Happy birthday month, @skyloftian-nutcase :)

Trigun Maximum 8.3
I am finally done with the volume. And my heart bleeds.
Trigun Ultimate: 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 Trigun Maximum: 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1, 3.2, 4.1, 4.2, 5.1, 5.2, 6.1, 6.2, 7.1, 7.2, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 9.1, 9.2, 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, 10.4, 10.5
Spin-off: Freed Bird
Okay, when is this? Is this the path to december? Or when Wolfwood is on the way to Juneora Rock? I mean, he doesn't have Angelina, but then again, she would have been left where the Ark started, so is it now? Then again, he wouldn't take up random work to get to December... So, I'd say that this is either Pre-Trigun Ultimate Wolfie on the way to Knives with the knowledge that he has no home anymore or Pre-Trimax Wolfie under the thumb of Knives. The way he thinks about Lina protecting herself could show his growth as a person.
Is Wolfwood the bird or the human or both? He has no freedom, none at all, the Eye of Michael and his responsibilities bind him down. But then there is a point to be made that Wolfwood is desperately trying to find a place to rest, that he is in constant pain from trying to survive. He gets like the worst out of both worlds. I would have loved for that birdmotive to be present earlier for Wolfwood.
Ahhh… good old peak idiot Wolfwood.
A difficult situation. They were right to take a loan, but the father wasn’t very responsible with the money, then, was he? They profited from the ownership of the plant and lived a cushy life. He should have constantly put money away for such a situation.
It is not only the responsible and fair thing to do ala you wash my back and I wash yours, but also considering the worth of plants, you cannot take even one death of them. I’d say make plants common property, but even that wouldn’t stop people from trying to gain power over them.
WOLFWOOD! YOU WERE SO GOOD WHEN LINA PROTECTED HERSELF FROM THOSE GUYS! And here you are like: “Nah… congrats. I don’t care.” I partially understand him. Wolfwood grew up in deepest poverty, he would most likely marry Orekano to get that lifestyle (give that money to the orphanage). He may not understand that someone may prefer a life of strife than to be an object in the hands of a weird man.
Again, the bird motive. Lina is a trapped bird. She doesn’t know how hard the world outside is, she truly doesn’t. She lived a life as an upper class woman.
Haha, wrong person to ask.
Not gonna lie, her saying that she was an orphan and using that as a reason to say that she was dependent on people reads so fucking weird. Everyone is dependent on other people. If Maylene popped out a child and kept it, it would also be completely dependent on her. That’s what children are. In the next few pages we learn that she was adopted like at age 2 max. She had next to her whole life with this family, who took care of her as her own from what we get to see. She does not understand poverty or survival at all. She was at an age where you do not remember things. Sorry, but no girl. I understand that you may felt overly protected and maybe suffocated by your parents, maybe your parents actively stopped you from going out and growing up, but your lack of freedom is totally different than that of an orphan of a struggling orphanage.
Then again, that does not mean that she has to marry Orekano to keep her lifestyle. She has the ability and the freedom to decide for herself. She is a bird breaking out of her cage. It is her decision to make.
Wolfwood sounds pretty judgemental, but he also does not understand what Maylene has to expect of her new husband. For him it looks like a naive girl romanticising freedom from a position of privilege. He also projects onto her, what he doesn’t/didn’t have his whole life. He is the bird that just wants a safe place, but he cannot get it. He cannot imagine giving that up.
I just realised, Wolfwood said he put bullets into Chapel for the name he gave him. But we see him called Nicholas in the past. It was the Punisher. Wolfwood hates Chapel for making him an assassin, but my brain was too soupy in the last volume.
Ah, yes. Wolfwood’s old friend. Parentification. How it made him what he is today, the big brother, the caretaker, the protector. So much of Wolfwood can be traced back to this.
I think it is also interesting that we see a kind of neglect/abuse here, that wasn’t done with ill intent or anything. The orphanage was too full, the aunties had too many children to take care of and that led to Wolfwood being forced into that role. He wasn’t parentified by neglectful parents, but by a society that causes too many orphans and that gives not enough money to adequate care for the helpless and innocent. There was no alternative. Should they have left Maylene alone and crying?
From what we know about Wolfwood, he saw the orphanage as a kind of paradise. It was a place where he could be without having to give something. Wolfwood already came to the orphanage with the ideology of having to be useful, to balance out the debt that occurs from him being there. It was so easy for him to become a quiet helper to the aunties that didn't tell his needs. His basic needs were taken care of and for that he had to be thankful. Everything beyond that was to be used to pay off the debt, to give to the other children.
What did he think then about the bird? Did he want freedom? Or was he okay with how everything is? He was fed, had a place to sleep and was being taken care of, somewhat. Did he ever wish for more?
It is about Maylene. Did Wolfwood ever wonder or hope to be adopted? Or did he see himself as damaged goods from the start? Maybe he came in as “too old” for an adoption and resigned himself to be the one that makes sure the little ones get adopted?
Little WooWoo is massively cute. I love this style more than Stampede’s.
Why is this… wearing a cross… jumpsuit? I hate him already.
Grati… tude… What the fuck is wrong with this guy? Much, considering Maylene’s reaction. But at least now Wolfwood checks WHY Maylene may prefer survival to a cage.
No, he doesn’t. Wolfwood! Pull your head out of yer arse! Okay… okay… he was just put through the meatgrinder because Maylene declined and fled.
The only right answer to his incel shit… Why is that icky guy so obsessed with Maylene’s virginity? I push aside the train of thought about priests and naughties, because we know how reality looked since before the Renaissance and I do not believe that such a possessive icky, icky weirdo would even have such information.
Call him out, Maylene! Oregano’s actions aren’t her responsibility. I wouldn’t say Wolfwood egging him on made it worse, because I don’t think that… I have run out of insults… guy would have believed Wolfwood anyway.
Wolfwood the protector. The Punisher, then his body and then Maylene.
But… Damn, Wolfwood! I wanna root for you. But you say the vilest things. None of these deaths are on Maylene. They are on Orekano. Do you really believe that she would have a good and comfy life under him? Yes, decisions come with consequences, but fleeing from an abusive situation and the abuser acting out is never on the victim. We know how you came to that mindset, but, buddy, that mindset is massively flawed.
FUCKING FINALLY!
How did Orekano get even worse? “Hurdur, I would stain my hands on your defiled body…” Dude believes in fucking cooties.
We know that Wolfwood cares for Maylene. Even if his words are… saying the opposite. He wants her to have a comfy life. He doesn’t want her to struggle like he does. His actions show this. He protected her repeatedly from Orekano, he doesn’t take all the money offered for his funeral service, he gives her as much as he can so she can start somewhere anew. He doesn’t agree with her choice, but he lets her make her own.
And that line from Maylene, I understand much more. Somehow she got into her head that she being adopted is just the family filling some spot with her. That’s sad… And hopefully wrong. But it makes her point of breaking off from that legacy and choosing her own path. She heard Wolfwood’s warning, but she prefers being a free bird struggling to a caged wife.
Earlier, Wolfwood was sad that she doesn’t remember him. But he did leave a massive impression on her in the form of the bird motive. So much so that she took up carving herself. And Wolfwood is stunned, moved. He mattered. For all the blood on his hands, he had a positive effect on someone's life. And he cannot deal with it. That’s why he puts it down as a lousy carving.

Heyah ! I just wanted to ask do you think Warriors is right about Twilight refusing help because of pride ? Maybe fanon Twilight is clouding my judgement rigt but it seems wrong with his character. It seems more plausible that he's being sturborn out of extreme practicality (and not understanding the ravity of his own injuries). Like "I'm that badly wounded, my life not threatened and I can still fight so we are not wasting ressources (whetever it is healing iten or manpower) on me when I don't need it". It's never a good mindset to have for people, even yourself but it's not pride. Beside the only time Twilight answer by anything not in the line of "I'm going wheter you like it or not" is when someone point out that he'll be more of a hindrance than anything else where he answer that he'll stay in the sideline.
Plus Warriors seemed to be projecting? For lack of better words. I mean he says that in Twilight stead he'll act the same way so I think he's assuming because Twilight acting like him he's doing it for the same reason as him. Which fair. But it's not a thought process that's reliable since everybody is different and Warriors and Twilight are even more different from each other than from the rest of them.
Anyway maybe I'm wrong, maybe it was obvious to a lot of people and I wrote that for nothing. Maybe I should have make it its own post but I really want your opinion on this. Stilll take your time to answer this if you want, at worse if you take I can make it a post and see what other people think 😁
Yes, I do.
Twilight...is a complex character. But I'm not sure how practical he is being in his case. He couldn't get up as Wolfie. He was down and hard. That wasn't something that was a practical decision. It's VERY personal. Twilight (as a Hylian and as Wolfie) has had the most personal investment in hunting down Dink then any of the other characters. And it can be seen even back a few updates when I think it was Warriors said to not take it too hard. "Not even that great wolf could find him". (Or something like that, I'm paraphrasing).
But Twilights face showed hurt.
And Twilight, at least in my opinion, takes a bit more after the TP manga then the video game.
Do I agree that Warriors is also projecting a bit? Yeah. Like I'm sorry buddy. I know you all have the leap first hero spirit instinct, but Twilight is not a soldier.
But Twilight has a major case of "I will not be the weakest link" (haha pun). And perhaps he really DID feel fine when he was talking to warriors and Time and Sky. The magical effects seem to have had a delayed reaction.
All I can think though is that after having to have been hauled off the field of battle because you took a blow that injured you to the point where you couldn't respond until a magic sword forcibly transformed you, refusing to take a red potion (a three second thing!) isn't a practical call. They spent more time arguing over if he should take something to heal him then it would have to take a red potion or use a fairy.
And idk that it's an obvious thing, because clearly we can have two different interpretations of motivation!
But now IM curious what other people's takes are lol

Tetsuro Kuroo x F!Reader. Fluffy Word Count ~ 4.3k Happy very late birthday to a dear friend of mine, I hope you had a great day girl!
KozumeKenma is going live!
The girl grinned at the notification that flashed up at the top of the screen of her phone. Her favourite streamer who she had been watching since he started streaming, she had just randomly found him playing some Minecraft years ago and decided to watch, she had been a loyal follower since that day, his streams always made her laugh and she loved how relaxed he was, she would often pop up in the chat, commenting on the game. Kenma had recognised her as one of his top fans, she had VIP status on his streams and he always said hi to her. Y/n had noticed that he was looking a little more run down recently, so she would often pop up telling him to hydrate or go get some food. She often used buying a treat for Kenma through streamer treats and he would often scold her for another pizza or ice cream Sundae, but Y/n knew he didn't mean it especially when it was her favorite pizza, she had been sending water with them too as the boy seemed to live on soft drinks.
Opening her laptop she turned it waiting for it to load up, it usually took a little while now, she needed to get a new one, this one had to be about seven years old now so it was starting to get a little slow now but it still did the job for now anyway. While she waited, her fingers tapped against keyboard on her slightly cracked screen of her phone,
Snowy Bluewolf: Happy wednesday! How are you?
She heard Kenma chuckle, of course she was the first to message the chat. “Hey there, as always you are straight in the chat Wolfie.” Kenma gave a smile seeing her username, Snowy Bluewolf. “I’m good thank you, how is your lock down wednesday going?”
Snowy Bluewolf:: Ah you know the usual, I got out of bed, moved to the couch to play on the ps4 and haven’t moved since unless to get food or another drink.
“Ah, what have you been playing today?”
Snowy Bluewolf: Just some bloodborne, still terrible at the game
He chuckled, “It is a hard game wolfie, the offer still stands, anytime.” She smiled, she had told him she had started playing bloodborne over the lockdown and that she was finding the game incredibly difficult and he had offered to help her out if need be.
Snowy Bluewolf:: I heard orphan is a bitch to beat so I will give that one a few tries and then I may take you up on the offer! Thanks, Kenma!
“Okay, the rest of you, stop being jealous, you all know Wolfie has been here since day one and she is super loyal follower so of course I’m going to talk to her!” Kenma rolled his eyes playfully at the jealous messages in chat, Kenma looked dead in the camera with a playful look in his golden eyes as he teased the rest of his followers “She is also one of my mods so watch it.”
The girl laughed, she had never abused her power as a mod in his discord or in the twitch chat she only kicked those who didn’t obey the rules. She also was friends with Kenma. On discord they were quite good online friends now and they do play games together in private and they do have quite a laugh together.
“Right let’s get on with the stream!” Kenma said getting straight into the game.
Y/n had gotten her laptop all set up and ready now, she lounged out on the sofa, getting comfy for the Animal Crossing New Horizons stream. She would lurk in the chat making sure that everyone was behaving, she rarely had to time out anyone, but she liked to keep an eye making sure everyone is behaving, over the eight years she has been a part of Kenma’s streams and been a mod she had only have to ban about a couple hundred people though she had timed out a lot more than that, she reckons she has hit over the thousands or more.
She smiled as she watched Kenma update his island, trying to make it five stars, he had built his orchard, a zen garden and a flower garden, it was looking quite stunning so far. Had been streaming about an hour and half when she noticed he had yet to have a drink.
Snowy Bluewolf: Oi, Kenma! Hydrate would you, have some H2O smh
“Ergh, Wolfie you are starting to sound like my friend Kuroo.” He sighed, grabbing his water bottle, and having a drink. “Always telling me to drink something...” He tightens the cap on the bottle.
Nekomasbestcaptain: I heard my name? What shit are you saying about me now?
Y/n giggled at the fact his best friend had been lurking in Kenma’s stream this whole time, Y/n knew of Kuroo his best friend but had never spoken to him even as a mod all these years. “Nothing Kuroo, just saying Wolfie is as bad as you, reminding me to hydrate.”
Nekomasbestcaptain: Wolfie? Oh, you mentioned her before. One of your mods, right?
Kenma glanced at the chat quickly, before replying, “Yep.”
Snowy Bluewolf: @Nekomasbestcaptain hi! I am the one making sure he stay’s hydrated and that he eats
Nekomasbestcaptain: @Snowybluewolf haha thanks he does forget like all the time.
For the rest of the stream Kuroo and Y/n chatted and flirted back and forth, Kenma rolling his eyes at his two best friends.
To: Kenma From: Kuroo Sent: 04:14pm Dude, how can I talk to wolfie other than through your streams?
To: Kuroo From: Kenma Sent: 08:17pm Discord.
Kuroo had never downloaded an app so quick in his life, he created his account, got Kenma’s discord tag added to him then begged him to allow him to join his discord server before tracking down Y/n and private messaging her.
The months of lockdown flew past, Y/n and Kuroo bonding over the course of three months, they had gotten to the point they would video call in bed usually with Y/n falling asleep while they chatted which he found super cute.
Nekomasbestcaptain: Hey, Y/n seeing as lockdown is finally over, did you, maybe fancy going for dinner?
Kuroo sat at his desk in his home office as he chewed on his lip as watched her name pop up at the bottom of the chat bar in discord, before disappearing and reappearing again.
Snowy Bluewolf: Sure (*ノ▽ノ) I would love too. Rather than going out for now, maybe we could have a stay at home dinner, like we each cook a course and share one?
The grin was spread across both their lips as they stared at their phones, the crushes they had developed over the past few months had come clear and they had slyly admitted it to one another and Kenma hated how they were with each other yet loved it cause they both deserved to be happy. Kuroo’s eyes sparkled as he read the message.
Nekomasbestcaptain: Sure, who’s place shall we do it at? I don’t mind travelling to yours.
Snowy Bluewolf: We can do it at my place and I’ll pop out and buy the food for the mains if you don’t me doing that course.
Nekomasbestcaptain: Sounds like a plan. I'll make the starter and we could have a cheese board for dessert?
Snowy Bluewolf: You are talking my language rooster boi! So, friday?
Nekomasbestcaptain: Friday is perfect, 6?
Snowybluewolf: 6 is perfect, I’ll send you my address on friday
Y/n couldn’t help but squeal she had a date with this beautiful man, it may be a home date, but she had a date. Kuroo flopped back in his desk chair, he had done it he had finally asked her out.
Friday rolled around in a flash both arguing over who was buying the cheese, in the end Y/n won to buy the cheese and crackers but Kuroo said he would be buying the wine. Y/n decided to make a sushi from scratch, Y/n wasn’t going to admit it, but she did want to show off a little. She had all the equipment she needs to make sushi at home she had just never used the sushi kit she had brought.
Kuroo had spent days trying to work out what he would make for the starter, he finally decided on tempura. He wanted to make a mix of vegetables and fish. He knocked on her door, with a few bags in hand.
The door opened shortly after, he was met by a h/c haired girl, her e/c eyes peering up at him, with a shy smile on her face, “Hey rooster boy.”
“Hello Chibi-chan,” Since he discovered she was the same height as Kenma he had begun to call her Chibi-chan, he loved how a light blush covered her cheek bones. He smiled at her leaning down pecking her forehead, not chancing more yet seeing as this was the first date. Biting her lip, she stepped back gesturing for him enter, trying not let the blush erupt over her cheeks from the feeling of his lips against her forehead. It was a small innocent gesture that caused goosebumps erupted over her skin as she knew the small peck had a deeper meaning behind it. The pair had become comepletely and utterly smitten with one another.
Showing him into the open plan kitchen sitting room “Can I get you anything to drink?” She asked leaning on the counter, “I brought some wine with me” Kuroo grinned pulling a bottle of wine out of one of the bags. Y/n smiled in return, opening the cupboard by the fridge pulling out to large crystal-clear wine glasses, while opened the bottle with the corkscrew. “What have you planned for starters?”
Tetsu gray orbs met hers as he poured them a glass each, “I was thinking of making Tempura. What are you doing for mains?”
The girl took a sip of the wine and sighed, her eyes widening at the smooth taste coating her tongue and the velvety texture running down her throat, “Well I was goinf to make sushi but I’m thinking screw the starter and mains and let’s just have a cheese and wine night, Tetsu this wine is delicious what is it?”
“Cabinet Sauvignon by a California vineyard called dark horse,” Kuroo swirled the wine in his glass before smirking “and I won’t say no to a cheese night.”
Y/n emptied out the carrier bags taking everything that needed to go in the fridge and placing it there, before giving him a playful look with raised eyebrows at the 3 other bottles of wine she removed from the bags. “Tetsurou are you planning to get me drunk this evening?”
“What?” Elongating the word, “No! Whatever gave you that idea?!” He gasped, placing a hand over his chest struggling to keep the fake offended look on his face, before they both cracked up laughing, the pair relaxing in each other presence for the first time that evening.
“So, cheese and wine night?” The nod of Kuroo’s head joined with the twinkle in his eye was all Y/n need to grab one of her wooden chopping boards, the crackers from the cupboard before she pulled the fridge door open and snatching the selection of cheese, she had brought earlier that day from the fromagerie, the strong-smelling shop contained a wide variety delicious French cheese.
Y/n wasn’t sure what kind of cheese Kuroo would like she got some milder ones as well as some strong ones, the milder ones being those like brie, camembert and cantal, a cheddar like cheese, the stronger ones like Roquefort and stilton. She had gotten quite a mix of hard and soft cheese too. Taking all the cheese out of their respective wrappings before placing them on the wooden board.
Kuroo watched each of her movements carefully from his seat at the breakfast bar, she did everything so gracefully and he was awestruck by how beautiful she was, he already thought she was when they video chatted but seeing her in person was a whole other ball game. He watched as she stood on her tiptoes, reaching into the cupboard to get down two small side plates, her flowing red blouse riding up slight allowing him to catch a glimpse of her smooth looking s/c skin of her waist. The way she bent over as she rummaged through the fridge looking for something, gave him perfect view of her arse in her skin-tight dark blue Levi's over the rim of his wine glass as he took another sip. He glanced away as she straightened up, turning around with some chutneys in hand, making it seem like he was admiring the apartment rather than the owner of it.
“Did up want to sit here or move to the sofa?” She asked gesturing towards the dark blue loveseat with a pair of matching armchairs that was placed opposite a flat screen TV on that was mounted to the wall with a light oak sideboard under it, he could see through the glass of the doors that it contained a PlayStation four, Nintendo switch and a range of games and DVDs, separating the two was a coffee table that matched the sideboard, light oak with a glass top. “Sure, the sofa sounds good.”
Kuroo grabbed the two glasses wine and made his way after y/n to the sofa as she made her way over to the coffee table with the wooden board with the cheese on before they both when to grab the condiments and utensils.
“Hey, google, shuffle wake up and smell the coffee.” Y/n called out to her google home which sat on the side board under the TV.
“Okay, I’ll shuffle the Spotify playlist wake up and smell the coffee.”
The gentle strumming of the guitar of Comethru by Jeremy Zucker played threw the Google home. The pair got comfy on the loveseat, letting the music flow through the apartment, they both snacked on the cheese and biscuits chatting and talking about their days at work. “It’s nice to not having to go into the office that often yet I do procrastinate while I’m at home.”
“Oh god I am just the same and Kenma is not helping when he streams when I am trying to work.” The girl laughed as she sipped at her wine enjoying the smooth texture.
“I have Kenma’s streams playing as background noise these days myself.” Kuroo added with his own deep chuckle as he watched the girl drink her wine and the way the tip of her tongue darted out over red full lips, temptated to kiss them to discover how soft they are , “This one is nice.” Kuroo said grabbing another cracker with some brie with the fig chutney, Y/n hummed agreeingly in response as she had her own mouthful of blue cheese and cracker, taking a sip of her wine before responding, “The fig chutney does go well with brie, try the blue cheese with a sip of wine.”
He did as she suggested and his eyes widened at the mixture of mouth-watering tastes, “damn that’s good.” He grabbed another chunk of the blue cheese, placing it on his plate and grabbed another cracker. The cheese board didn’t last long between them even with the six different cheeses they keep eating until there wasn’t even a crumb left.
“Whoa, I’m stuffed.” Kuroo sighed as he flopped back on the cushions of the sofa, they had finished a bottle of wine and began the next. Copying his movement, Y/n made herself comfy on sofa, the music still softly playing in the background, 1994 by Alec Benjamine harmony filled the room. “God, I love cheese nights.”
“I have decided, this,” He gestured to the empty plates, board and the bottles wine “Shall become our first tradition. We will have regular cheese nights.” Kuroo said, nodding in agreement with his own decision with a proud smile. A gentle smile crossed her rosy lips again, the look in her jewel-like eyes holding a matching look, nodding in agreement with his idea. Their first tradition, Y/n was filled with giddiness and tried not to squeal at the fact he wanted to start making traditions with her, “I’d like that.”
His grey eyes watching as she curled her legs up under herself, her left elbow resting on the back of the couch, her chin resting on her on the palm of that hand and in her right hand held the wine glass which rested on her knee. The small ball jumping up on the sofa between them broke him out of his trance of checking her out. His eyes landed on the black kitten whose large blue eyes were briming with curiosity. “Oh, there you are Luddy.” Sitting up slightly, the h/c leaned forward enough to gently pet the kitten, the second Y/n fingers met the top of his head, Luddy began to purr, his blue eyes closing in contentment.
“Did you have a nice sleep baby?” Y/n cooed to the bundle of fur starching behind his ear making him lean into his touch, Kuroo was in awe as he watched her coo over the small creature. “Do you want some dreamies?” The kittens eyes seem to fly open at the word dreamies as if he understood what his own had said, he looked at her and gave her a small meow. Y/n giggled placing her glass down on the coaster before standing up.
“Okay you make friends with Tetsu while I grab the dreamies.” Starching the back of Luddy’s head, Y/n gathered up the plates and knifes an placed them on the wooden board along with the chutneys and taking them to the kitchen, leaving Kuroo and a kitten staring at one another, molten grey eyes staring into inquisitive sapphire blue ones. In the background you could hear dishwasher being loaded and the opening and closing of cupboards as Kuroo gently reached a handout allowing the small cat to sniff his calloused fingers, from all those years playing volleyball, before Luddy rubbing up against the man's large hands purring, he stood up walking over to Kuroo sitting down on his lap, allowing Kuroo to continue to pet him, purring happily at the affection. Y/n watched the interaction from the kitchen smiling, before shaking the bag of dreamies, causing Luddy’s ears to prick up and turn to look where the sound came from, he jumped over the back of the sofa trotting his way towards the sound of the treats. Kuroo watched as Y/n opened a ball with a few holes in it, pouring the treats in, shutting it and placing it on the floor for Luddy who ran up to it and batted the ball across the room causing the treats to fall out of the holes. Y/n walked back over to the sofa, grabbed her glass of wine off the table, taking a seat next to Kuroo, whose arm was resting across the back of the sofa, where she was sat it looked like it was placed around her shoulders. Trying his luck, he placed it around her shoulder and tugged her into his side, “Come ‘ere.” To which she responded to his tug by curling into his side, head resting on his chest while he drew gentle circles on her shoulder happily relaxing into the sofa with her curled up to him.
It was peaceful as the pair led there on the sofa curled into one another, the only sound in the room was Luddy’s ball rolling around and the music still quietly playing, “This is nice Tetsu,” Humming in agreement, he kissed the top of her head allowing his lips to linger inhaling in her soft scented shampoo. He could get used to this, ruining the perfect scene was a loud ringtone going off.
"Is Kenma really streaming at this time?” The girl sighed untangling herself from Kuroo to get her phone from the kitchen counter where she had left at the start of the evening. “Ya know, he only lives around the corner,” Y/n turned to look at Kuroo confusingly as her eyes met with his that held a mischievous glint, “and I have a key.”
Y/n confusion turned into a smirk as she caught onto what Tetsuro was planning, her eyes brighten up and nodded in excitement, this would be the first time she was meeting her favourite streamer and she would gate crashing his apartment with his best friend. “Can we stop and buy food and drinks for him? I bet he hasn’t eaten.”
Kuroo couldn’t help but be just as enthusiastic as her, seeing her excited was contagious and made him just as excited. “Of course, we can” He smiled pulling on his shoes and jacket as Y/n did the same. “Luddy be good while we’re gone. Mummy loves you baby.” She blew a kiss towards the kitten who was sat on the sofa looking at the pair with a bored look in his eyes as they stepped out of Y/n apartment door. They made their way to local convenience store fingers entwined together as they searched for Kenma’s favourite soft drink and a few bottles of water before going to the pizza takeaway and order the largest pizza they could with Kenma’s favourite toppings. Y/n couldn’t believe how close they lived together, Kenma live barely 2 streets over, they had the same local takeaways and supermarkets she was surprised they had never bumped into one another before.
Kuroo entered the code to Kenma’s apartment building, saying hi to the kind looking receptionist who knew him very well with how often he visits his best friend, Y/n sent a wave to the lady behind the desk who returned it with a smile. “Back to see Kenma I see Kuroo, and who is this?”
“Hi, yep!” He popped the p “This is Y/n she is my girlfriend and actually I met her through Kenma streams she’s one of his mods and he decided to stream during out first date so we thought we would come and crash his stream” The lady giggled and nodded, noticing the blush that exploded over h/c girls cheeks as she heard Kuroo tell the receptionist that she was his girlfriend. “Pleasure to meet you Y/n have fun crashing his stream.”
“pleasure to meet you too. And thank you we shall.” The girl replied with a smile as Kuroo tugged on their entwined hands towards the elevator, he hit the button for the eighth floor and watching the doors close as the pair made their way up to his floor, Kuroo fished his set of keys out of his pocket, “So we’re going to sneak in and sneak to his stream room and throw the door open and yell at him to hydrate right?”
“That’s the plan.” The girl nodded bouncing on the balls of her feet. She was so excited to do this. The bell ding in the elevator signalling they had arrived at the eighth floor, stepping out the made in along to apartment 803, Y/n took the carrier bag from Kuroo’s hand as he slipped the key into the lock carefully turning it to unlock the door quietly, they slipped inside stylish modern apartment, they both took there shoes and jackets off, placing the bottles of water and one of his soft drink bottles on the counter, before sneaking there way towards Kenma’s stream room.
Showing three fingers Y/n began the silent countdown, She knew the whole stream would see this as Kenma had recently moved his stream room around so his back was now facing the door.

Kuroo threw the door open “YO KENMA! HYDRATE!” The pair yelled at the same time, they watched as the streamer jumped five foot in air out of fright and the stream chat was moving at a mile a second asking what was going on. Kenma pulled his cat ear headphones off his head placing them down on his desk slowly turning around in his desk chair to find Kuroo leaning against the door frame one arm around his date and in his other hand was his Kenma’s drink while Y/n was snuggled into his side with the pizza box in hand. Both of their face held large cheeky grins.
“Kuroo? Wolfie?” He questioned, Kuroo was the first to speak between the couple, “This what you get for crashing our date with your stream”
“Oh, so now I have to plan my streams around your dates?” Kenma sassed them. The h/c cocked an eyebrow before replying, “Yep, you do.”
Kenma laughed at her response, watching as the pair stepped into the room, Y/n thrust the pizza box into his hands “bet you haven’t eaten yet tonight so here it’s your favourite.” Before she pushed his chair with him in it out of the way and crouching down to be eye level with the webcam seeing herself in the video, of the stream managers on Kenma’s second monitor, “Hey chat! It’s me, Wolfie! You best be all behaving while I am not there to mod you” She winked into the camera, noticing Kuroo making his way over to her kneeling down behind her, he was still taller than her, he placed his chin on his head, reading what the chat was saying.
It was exploding with laughter over how they made an entrance, to how pretty Wolfie is and how handsome Kuroo was. “He is handsome isn’t he but hands off he’s mine.” Y/n replied sticking her tongue out at the chat.
“This gorgeous girl is mine so back off lads I can see yall eyeing her up.” Kuroo growled out playfully.
Kenma just sat in his chair chopping happily on his pizza while shaking his head at his two best friends who had just stolen all the limelight of his stream, which had gone from a Bloodborne stream to just chatting in a matter of seconds, with a gentle smile on his face glad they were happy together.

6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22 pleaseeee. I’m curious ❤️
I love you and thank you for asking meeee :D
6 - Avada Kedavra, because it feels like the least torturous and horrible out of the three actually! The other two are so awful, taking away your control and hurting you so much that you can go insane ugh. No thank you
7 - My favourite book is a hard question to answer because I love them all so much for different reasons... buuuut on my decision to reread all the books again last week, the one i started with was actually PoA. I love Sirius Black and Remus Lupin so much and I wish we got so much more of them. But basically I love how dramatic they are, and I love Ron in this book so much too. Poor Ron gets left out so much which he’s so used to in his family life but I just LOVE HIM and how he just gets on with it (albeit with some whinging mostly about crookshanks)
8 - Remus Lupin. Its not Sirius, who definitely is like a more brotherly/uncle figure! And it is 10000% not Dumbledore. because nope
9 - Fav movie, to repeat myself, is PoA, followed closely by OOtP actually. For all the reasons above for sure, and I love how well done the time turner plot is done in the film
11 - UMBRIDGE. for her racism, prejudism, and all out nastiness
14 - I want to learn Ancient Runes so badly!!! Thats the absolute best subject at Hogwarts, lets all go and read ancient scripts! (and ofc i’m an archaeologist so this has to be my fave)
15 - Probably potions for me! I know people might say divination, but you saw how many prophecies there were in that hall... seems like a subject with a little gumption. My reasoning is that I cannot follow a recipe to save my life, so I would constantly be accidentally creating poisons etc....
16 - I think anyone who is a bully (obviously haha), but i mean we don’t see a lot of that from Harry’s POV in the books, aside from “the Slytherins”... I think the Pansy Parkinsons, and people who are genuinely that nasty would be my enemies...
17 - I’m gonna go by era on this one hehehe - Marauders era would have to be James Potter, i love the person i’ve built him up as in my head lol and RON WEASLEY OFC
20 - I think for the dramatics it has to be Lucius Malfoy, hes a snivelly littlel drama queen and I cannot handle how bitchy he is. He would have been a Sirius level drama queen who i’d love if he’d been raised as a “Good Guy”
21 - very big, very hairy spiiiiider.... or maybe like Molly Weasley’s but I don’t even want to think about that.
22 - According to Pottermore.... I have a Dolphin. But I have always always thought it would be a large dog, like a St Bernard, or some wolfy animal. Really I just want a better test so I can find out for reeeal.

Unexpected Growth and Secrets
Thank you so much for the support as always, @breeachuu ! Things are starting to get hotter!
Summary: Wolfram had only been in Fódlan for less than three months and so much had already happened. He could barely keep up with each new discovery he made, even more so ones that related directly to his own mission -- Byleth gaining a new power and feeling more like a manakete every day but not being one turned the poor boy’s head into a knot.
Commission info HERE and HERE!
______________________________
Raindrops pierced Wolfram's body as though they were a volley of spears, the deafening sound of the wetting ground muting all others. He didn't realize he had reached the ground, the mud clinging onto his clothes, intent on pulling him ever downwards.
At a distance, blurred by the storm that formed, lay Jeralt, rocked into Byleth's arms as she wailed a silent cry. Dimitri's blur ran by Wolfram towards the Professor so, so far ahead, forcing the half manakete to watch, but not process what was happening.
He had been sent to that world for such a short amount of time. He barely managed to scramble on his feet after taking the first life with his own hands and now- someone he knew, someone's... Someone else's father simply... ebbed his life away, painting the mud in red.
Wolfram could hear his own heartbeat thundering by his ears; so loudly it made him cover them with both hands, wanting the sound to stop. He barely could discern what everyone was saying all around him, the voices so far and undistinguished it felt like he was hearing through a thick glass.
Seeing Jeralt fall so- so easily like that terrified Wolfie out of his skin. But not for his own sake, no.
He remembered the stories of the destroyed future whence Meliodas and Cynthia came -- the doomed timeline into which both of his eldest siblings watched their parents die.
Nidra. Henry.
Both lying dead on the ground, during such a hazy time the two children weren't even able to hold a proper funeral. To Wolfram, that all had seemed such a distant, impossible thing to happen -- after all, no one's stronger than his mother, Nidra! She's the second oldest manakete the Ylisseans had heard of, one that's witnessed the birth and death of entire civilizations!
No man was stronger than Henry, whose research allowed him to extend his usually short lifespan to match that one of his immortal wife -- no dark magic was trickier, no potential was larger...
And yet, dead they lay in that pool of muddied blood, as Byleth rocked them while Dimitri did his best to stay by her side.
"No-" Wolfie stammered, not noticing the tears streaming down his face with the rain. "No- it's not them-"
"Buddy, you okay? Heeey there!" Caspar loud voice and heavy slap on the back sucked Wolfram back to reality. "You're gonna trip at the entrance- Whoa there!"
Caspar had tried to warn Wolfie about the step right outside the Monastery, but the half manakete started mumbling to himself instead, making the noble frown and call out to him in response. As expected, Wolfram tripped at the stone, forcing Caspar to hold the taller boy's arm lest he fell facefirst.
Still rather out of it, Wolfram looked around them. "When did we come back-" His voice was hoarse from crying, though he barely uttered a sound during his quiet sniffles.
"Man, your face's a mess." Caspar pulled Wolfie to the side after someone bumped into them, using his own sleeve to dry the half manakete's cheeks. "You've been crying since we left, yeah? Get it together! If you've got time to cry, then we gotta train to get back at those- those- ggrah! Jeralt was a legend! For him to just- drop dead like that- it makes me BOIL!"
Caspar's burst of emotion managed to make Wolfram focus on him more rather than drift back into sorrow. The boy grasped onto the shorter one's shoulder so as to place himself in reality. "What- what happened after-?" He stuttered, his voice still shaky.
His small body still trembling with rage, Caspar briskly took Wolfram's hand from himself before slamming his own head at the nearby wall. The loud, cracking sound startled Wolfie into thinking his friend had broken his skull for a split second -- before seeing that the stone wall was the one that cracked. "Hahhh," Caspar groaned loudly, shaking his head. "There, guess that's better. Anyway," he turned back to Wolfie as though nothing had happened, ignoring or not noticing the flabbergasted expression the taller boy wore, "the Professor got it together so fast it was like nothing had happened, man. She got up with Jeralt in her arms and told the Knights to escort us students back. Dimitri stayed behind with her as far as I know, though." He scratched the red spot in the middle of his forehead, amusing Wolfram into wondering if that didn't hurt as much as it looked.
Still, as entertaining as it was to talk with Caspar, the sour mood had settled deeply into the half manakete's heart. "... I-I see." He fidgeted, twiddling his thumbs. "I wonder what's gonna happen next. It's not like we can just go back to classes like usual, right?"
Caspar frowned deeply. "No? Why not? I mean, I get that it's her Dad and stuff, but if she doesn't come back to train us, we'll never be able to get back at those punks!" He slammed one fist into his open palm, cracking his neck afterwards. "We'll get 'em, Wolf. We'll get 'em GOOD. But the Professor's gotta come back to train us -- I don't wanna go back to my old class after training under her! She's the best!"
The half manakete lowered his gaze, downcast. "Mhm..."
"You went back to being depressed for a second there, man. Do you wanna go somewhere else? Oh yeah, your wyvern's following us from the sky since you just kinda walked all the way here; don't you wanna settle him back and stuff?"
Wolfram shot his head up. "Oh no! Aquilo! Boy, I'm so sorry for leaving you!" He gasped loudly, reaching for his whistle.
"Hey- you gonna run just like that? Wait for mee!" Caspar shadowed Wolfram closely, going up the stairs three steps at a time to make up for his shorter legs.
Running and feeling his blood rush made Wolfram's eyes burn up again, as though the action of being alive was enough to set him off. Aquilo obediently landed close to his own spot at the stables, the gust of wind his large wings blowed raising dust all around them. "I-I'm sorry for leaving so suddenly, boy." He hugged the wyvern's snout, pressing his forehead between Aquilo's eyes.
The wyvern nudged his master's face, covering him with his own large wing. Wolfram could understand what his friend and mount was saying -- word by word, just like Henry taught him as a child. Wolfie was being comforted by Aquilo, the only one who knew everything about the half manakete's condition.
"I'm gonna see them again, right?" He sniffled, hugging Aquilo's long neck. The wyvern purred in response, using his other wing to cover Wolfie entirely.
Caspar scratched his cheek, watching it all from the sidelines. He kind of wanted to hug Wolfram as well, but even he could tell when someone needed to be alone (or with their wyvern), so he simply sat there by the door to Aquilo's cot, intent on waiting it all out; he crossed both arms and legs, leaning on the wooden gate as though guarding it.
An unknown amount of time later, Wolfram managed to considerably calm himself down after being comforted by his partner. The moment he got out of the reach of Aquilo's wings, he felt someone tackle him from behind.
"Gotcha! Man, I've been wanting to do this since FOREVER! Waiting really ain't my style." Caspar laughed as he squeezed the life out of Wolfram's ribs, crushing them in his over-the-top embrace.
"C-Caspar- grah- you're killing me-" Wolfram gasped for air, patting the shorter boy's shoulder, saying uncle.
"Haha!" He tightened the hug a bit more before letting go altogether. "There! Feeling better? If not, I'm all for round two." He rolled his shoulder.
Wobbling, Wolfram struggled to even catch his breath. "H-huff... N-no, spare me! I'm feeling better now, thanks. More like I think you just squeezed it all out of me just now... ouch."
"Plan's worked, then!" He loudly slapped Wolfie's back, who almost tripped in response. "Now let's grab something to eat 'cause I dunno about you, but I'm starving! I bet all that crying made you hungry, too, right?"
Still panting, Wolfram surprised himself with how easily a smile sprouted on his face after quite literally drowning in tears just a few moments ago. "Mhm, that I am." He slid his hand to Caspar's, silently asking for the shorter boy to lead the way.
Said boy simply grinned, pulling Wolfram along. "C'mon, before all the good food gets hogged!"
Being with Caspar truly helped Wolfram settle down emotionally -- sure, talking with Aquilo was always a treat, but he wasn't exactly verbose, let alone someone who could hold on a true conversation for more than a few minutes.
Wolfram allowed himself to be led to the dining hall, though he barely touched his food once it was in front of him. He WAS feeling better, but it wasn't as though all the grief would suddenly disappear. "Can I sleep over in your room tonight?" He asked out of nowhere, fiddling with his food.
"Sure, man." Caspar replied without hesitation, snaffling down some meat like it was nothing.
"Thanks." The half manakete smiled shyly, resting his head on one hand, unwilling to eat any more than he already nibbled. "I'm kinda scared to sleep alone tonight." He justified, despite receiving no such inquiry from his friend.
"It's cool. Do you wanna be roomies? The rooms around here are big enough for two people and stuff."
"Would you mind if I stayed for a few days? Not too long, I promise." Wolfie risked, feeling all tingling inside. It was so heartwarming to be so readily accepted like that -- and to be able to just ask without wondering if he'd be intruding or worrying about his ears. Caspar looked like a heavy sleeper, after all; it shouldn't be too hard to hide them from him.
"Knock yourself out!" Caspar grinned after slurping his juice. "You're not gonna eat? I'm trying to eat as much as I can to build muscle like Raphael so I'm not saying to eat like I do but- this is so little! Eat more, you gotta get more meat in your bones, Wolf!"
Once again Wolfie felt the warmth, finally able to flash a heartfelt smile. "Thanks, Caspar. I wasn't that hungry before, but now I think I can eat a bit more."
"Uh... sure." Caspar raised one eyebrow slightly, wondering what the deal was with his brain that made him want to stare at Wolf eat rather than finish his own plate. "Pah, whatever! Gotta gobble this up!"
After dinner, the pair went by Wolfie's room to pick up a few clothes and his own sleeping bag (hauling the school mattress around would be too conspicuous and a pain in the ass) before setting out to the dormitory's second floor.
As they headed to the stairs, Wolfie kept his attention on Byleth's room, so close to his own, feeling the Professor's presence there, but knowing it wasn't a good time to simply knock and ask her how she was doing.
What she needed most was time, and Wolfram was going to give it to her.
Since this month's mission was done in advance, they actually had a few days left before the weekend, though an announcement was posted at the Notice Board right by their dormitory and classroom informing them of the upcoming week off in lights of Byleth's loss. Their classes would resume on the 5th of the Guardian Moon.
"It's been only three days, after all..." Wolfram put one hand under his chin in thought, frowning slightly. Dimitri himself had informed the Blue Lions' students of the posting, so either he had been in constant contact with Byleth during that time, or he was simply making use of his position as House Leader to always be informed of the direction their classes would go, though Wolfram was certain that the latter was more probable.
The greater part of the students already had a training routine set, so apart from lacking the much needed feedback from their Professor, they strived to keep themselves in shape during her grieving. Caspar was one of such students, taking a constant place at the training ground alongside Raphael and Felix.
Wolfram had a training regimen Byleth herself had instructed him to do, but he didn't feel ready to come back to training just yet, so he allowed himself to make a visit to Aquilo before noon.
However, on his way there, he felt Byleth's presence edging further from the dorms, towards the market. Raising one eyebrow, the boy followed quietly, watching her from beside the front door. Her entire demeanor seemed different; her back was hunched and her expression, sorrowful. It was as though she was another person entirely.
"Wolfram? What are you doing, hiding behind the door like that?" A voice from behind startled the half manakete out of his soul, making him squeak.
"Eeek- D-Dimitri? D-don't sneak up on me like that! I almost died, there." He huffed, patting his own chest.
"Haha, forgive me." The prince bobbed his head. "We were just coming back from our classroom, see." He shuffled a stack of papers he carried, tilting his chin to Dedue by his side, who also carried a similar stack. "The Professor put up a notice at the classroom's board, instructing each student to pick up a few handouts and work on them throughout the week; she also included personal notes for each one of them..." He puffed his chest with pride, though sagged his shoulders in grief. "She needn't go through such trouble, honestly... It is her grieving time."
"Your Highness," Dedue touched Dimitri's shoulder, pointing with his chin towards the gates leading out of the market. "That's our Professor going out, is it not?"
"Oh?" Dimitri followed his friend's gaze, spotting Byleth immediately. He frowned right away, his heart tightening. "It is her, however... Something is not right. She would not simply go out like this without informing me- ah, ahem, without asking for official permission. I can guarantee that Lady Rhea would not give it, at least not during this time of grief."
Wolfie looked from the Professor who disappeared out of the gates to the concerned prince.
"Could it be...?" Dedue frowned deeply. "These handouts will surely take more than a week to finish-"
Dimitri lost the air in his lungs, the paper he carried crumpling easily in his hands. "She- she couldn't-" He went pale, his blood rushing. "No. She very much well could be thinking that. By the goddess, do not allow her to throw her life away like that!" He stuttered, ready to sprint after her. A moment of clarity lightened his mind, however. "Wolfram! Please, take your wyvern and follow the Professor from above-- me and Dedue will round up whoever we can find to follow. We do not know where the Professor is going, but I have a terrible feeling deep down. We must go prepared!"
"T-throw her life away?" Wolfram mumbled, surprised. He clenched his fist before nodding. "Alright! I'll follow her and keep you informed on the route she's taking!" He ran out of the door, taking a left towards the stables.
"I'm counting on you!" Dimitri huffed, running in the opposite direction, Dedue in tow.
Truth was that Wolfie would be able to track Byleth down even by foot, by sensing her presence, but it wasn't as though he could come out and say that, so on Aquilo's back he went. Byleth took a direct route southwards, going down the mountain through a steep path, making the task of following her by horse a difficult one. Wolfram relayed as much to Dimitri and the others, who had grabbed mounts in attempts to reach her faster.
"If she's going to the village down there, we can take a detour," Dimitri huffed, pulling the horse's reins toward the opposite side. "Keep us informed, Wolfram! You're our eyes up there."
"Got it!" Wolfie saluted, guiding Aquilo towards Byleth's presence. He could barely see her from up there, especially since she was hidden by so many trees, but he could still sense her, so it was fine.
She did the hike down towards the village as Dimitri predicted, though she pressed on without resting, even though the sun started to set. She marched towards the mountains all the way into the horizon, her pace so quick Wolfram could see how she widened the gap between her and the pursuing students.
Still, they kept on their pursuit, galloping through uneven terrain, taking detours and being generally guided by Wolfram. "Is she going towards the Red Canyon?" Dimitri inquired after the second day of marching.
Byleth had done well in eluding them thus far -- she kept by the woods so it would be (technically) impossible for Wolfram to follow or even land his wyvern there, while also choosing routes better taken by foot rather than with a mount or a convoy in tow.
It was only at the dawn of the third day that her pace finally slowed down as she entered ruins of some kind. From above, Wolfram frowned, finding the scenery familiar, somehow.
Beaten-down walls, craters of unspeakable proportions; old suspension bridges and a blood-red soil right by the edge of the mountain.
The Red Canyon, Zanado.
"Oh!" Wolfram blinked, a rush of memories blinking through his mind. "I-I saw this place before! Naga showed it to me in that vision, one year ago..." He huffed, somehow excited.
He remembered hearing Naga tell him about a tragedy, children and guidance. Perhaps he'd find the answers down there? Maybe if he landed-
Wolfram felt it before he heard it. An animal instinct deep inside of his gut, telling him to run.
Then, a bloodcurdling roar shook the earth so visibly Wolfie could see the trees trembling, their leaves dancing with the wind. "W-what was that-" he gasped, looking down. "A- a demonic beast!"
"Fly to her, Wolfram!!" Dimitri yelled desperately from somewhere under him, the trees hiding him and muffling his voice. "Go to the Professor! Protect her until we can arrive!!" He almost begged, his voice ragged, his mind entirely focused on Byleth.
"No need to ask me twice!" Wolfram whipped Aquilo's reins. "C'mon, boy!"
It wasn't hard to spot Byleth -- she was sitting ducks in the middle of three giant wolves just a few yards ahead. Wolfram jumped out of Aquilo's back as the wyvern rammed into one of them, throwing it at the bedrock.
"I'm gonna stay by you, Byleth!" The boy roared, his eyes shining slightly.
"Wolfram!" Byleth widened her eyes in surprise, though didn't allow it to take her for long. "Watch out for the woods -- I'm sure there are more from where these three came from."
"Roger that!"
Byleth danced with the Sword of the Creator in hand, its long reach and malleable blade allowing her to strike even faraway enemies while Wolfram zapped them from afar with his unique magic. It didn't take long for the others to catch up, Dimitri leading them.
Once they were all united, there was nothing that could keep them from winning -- soon all monsters and beasts were eliminated, finally allowing the prince and the Professor to meet.
"P-Professor! I was- we were so worried! I beg you, do not do anything foolish... Had we not followed you, you would be-" He choked on the words, hovering around her as though searching for wounds.
Byleth took his hand in hers, closing her eyes in a silent thank-you. "So you were the ones following me. Don't worry, Dimitri. I won't rest until I bring justice to the one who murdered my Dad, but I still had to come here to... confirm something."
Still rather worked up, but visibly relieved, Dimitri clutched Byleth's hand in his, smiling nervously. "I will not pry into what it is that you needed to confirm, though I must ask you to inform someone before leaving like that in the future... I- we were worried sick!"
"I did leave handouts for the entire week I'd be out, but- thanks again for coming, Dimitri; everyone." She looked behind Dimitri's back to the audience, smiling softly.
The prince blushed deeply as he realized he still held Byleth's hand -- in front of the entire class, no less! -- quickly taking a step back and clearing his throat.
Wolfram watched the scene unfold with amusement, though something twinged at the edges of his consciousness. It was as though Byleth's presence had strengthened itself, somehow. Raising one eyebrow, the half-manakete took it upon himself to digest that information slowly during the flight back home.
They took a day longer to return than they did to arrive, seeing that their mounts were exhausted from the little rest they had during the pursuit. Once they were back, Dimitri said that he and Byleth had been thoroughly scolded by both Seteth and Rhea, despite the Professor claiming that she had taken the class for an extracurricular activity.
Perhaps it was because of that incident that the movement of the Knights of Seiros all around the academy went unreported to Byleth. Well, not that they had to report to her in the first place, but Shamir, Catherine and Alois sometimes trained under Byleth's guidance, so they had a somewhat give-and-take relationship.
Not during the following weeks, however.
The Knights moved as though lurking in the shadows, their numbers diminishing daily as they spread themselves out in search of... something.
It was only after Dimitri's intervention (by carefully asking Ashe and Petra to shadow a few Knights) that the Archbishop herself disclosed the plans they had to wipe out the people who had arranged for Jeralt's death without informing Byleth.
However, now that they've found where the enemy was posted, the Knights were already spread too thin to be able to deliver judgment to them, falling on Byleth's class to do it.
Which she would, gladly.
Byleth's expression was somber as she assigned each student a position in the upcoming battle, instructing them to carefully pack since they were due to not only a hike, but a pursuit as well.
The Knights' reports weren't very clear, but once Byleth caught the trail of the enemy, she followed it as though she were a trained hound. She guided them through the Sealed Forest with mastery, avoiding monsters and traps until they were finally face to face to the woman who had stabbed Jeralt in the back: Monica, also known as Kronya.
The assassin revealed herself to be one who enjoyed murdering people for sport, laughing as she spoke of how Jeralt fell to his death so easily like that.
This time, Byleth's sword didn't miss. The Professor struck the assassin over and over from afar in a blind rage. She dived deep into the enemy's lines, forcing the students to cover for her as they engaged the monsters and miscreants under Kronya's command.
At some point, realizing she had lost the battle, Kronya retreated to the woods, but that wouldn't stop the Ashen Demon from going after her without so much as batting an eye.
Never taking his focus away from Byleth while engaging this or that monster, Wolfram was the first one to realize she started drifting away from the front. "Professor Byleth! Wait-" He snapped a powerful magic before turning Aquilo towards the path Byleth took. "Dimitri! Byleth ran after Kronya into the woods! I'm going after her!"
"We all should, Wolfram!" Dimitri dealt the finishing blow to the beast Wolfie had struck moments before. "We cleaned up here; let us hurry to give the Professor our support!" He huffed, wasting no time in following Byleth's tracks.
Just a bit up ahead, they reached the ruins of a construction of sorts -- something bleeding with Old Energy, though it felt rather unnatural, as though it were... fabricated. Wolfram couldn't explain it very well, but the moment Byleth stepped into the stone, the energy started pulsating.
Solon laughed as he gouged Kronya's heart out with his bare hands, making Wolfram's stomach turn. "Wh-what is UP with these guys? Everything they do is so revolting and disgusting-" He huffed, urging Aquilo to fly closer to stay beside Byleth, however, a beam of darkness enveloped the entire altar, pushing wyvern and rider away. "Whoa!"
"What madness is this?!" Dimitri exclaimed as he, too, witnessed Byleth being thrown into darkness. "Professor! Professor Byleth!!" He yelled atop of his lungs, the swirling dark wind sucking his hair and clothes before stopping altogether, leaving only a high-pitched, deafening sound behind.
Aquilo's reins fell from Wolfram's hands. "Byleth...?" He murmured, focusing his entire being into searching for the Professor's presence, to no avail.
She had disappeared.
She was completely gone, as though she had never existed!
"No, this can't be! Byleth! I didn't come all this way for this- I swore I'd stay by your side!" He panicked, making Aquilo fly around the altar in a vain search for something he couldn't even feel. "Byleth!!" His heart thumped loudly in his ears. "I can't lose you, too-" he stammered, clenching both fists so hard his entire body trembled. "Y-you gotta be-"
Wolfram's classmates cursed Solon from their spot, each and every one of them believing that Byleth would return; the bond they shared giving them confidence. Wolfie's frown flinched, his heart wavering. Trust.
He should trust Byleth's abilities, not panic. He wasn't there to be her guardian, after all. He was there to help her!
And the only thing he could do at the moment was to believe she would be alright.
Still nervous, but clinging into this newfound, frail, hope, Wolfram guided Aquilo towards his classmates, landing there to make the stand against Solon. The villain's words were barely out of his lips when something shook the very foundations of their reality -- the air distorted around the spot Byleth had disappeared in, as though something could come out of it at any moment.
"A portal?!" Wolfram blurted out, gasping the moment the tip of a sword cut through the veil that separated this world from the other, a blinding light crashing down from within, forcing all that watched to close their eyes.
Byleth stepped out of the portal, swinging her Hero's Relic to put it back into the shape of a sword, the crack behind her mending itself as though a fast healing wound. Her entire body shone with a divine light, the presence she exuded enough to make Wolfram lose his breath -- it felt akin to what Naga made him feel the day she delivered his mission, though only for a brief moment.
Once the light faded, a draft picked up, lifting Byleth's bright green hair off of her shoulders. She had the same hair that the other shape-shifters in this world shared! Did she turn into one out of nowhere? "No... her ears are still round." Wolfram huffed, struggling to regain his breath. Still, there was no doubt that whatever had happened had made Byleth many, many times stronger than she already was. Wolfram could almost see the power overflowing through her skin, noticing how now it shone with the characteristic manakete glow.
"You'd consume even the eternal darkness, Fell Star?!" Solon vociferated, lifting his hands so as to summon reinforcements.
Before he could even finish the incantation, however, with but a swing of her Sword of the Creator Byleth ended Solon's life, separating his head from his body.
The air stilled, then somehow filled itself with miniature explosions, as though reality was still adjusting itself from the rend it suffered moments ago. Particles of dust popped, radiating light and energy all around them -- concentrating themselves around Byleth, who simply looked up in grief.
She looked at her students for a moment, smiling before crumpling to the ground.
"Professor!" Dimitri ran to her, "are you unwell? What's happened- a-are you... asleep?"
"Asleep?" Wolfram trotted behind, clutching his chest. "She- she really is just sleeping... Pheeew..." he, too, fell on the ground, his legs giving out after experiencing so much tension.
Dimitri let out a nervous laugh, carefully picking Byleth up in his arms. His expression softened the moment he felt her warmth on his, stealing a smile out of Wolfram's lips. "This is no place to stay. Let us return to our camp!" He raised his voice to the approaching classmates. "We will have Annette, Mercedes and Dorothea examine the Professor once we settle her back in her tent. I'm counting on you three."
Still too tense to properly respond in their usual cheerfulness, the trio simply complied, sticking to one another as Dimitri led the way to their camp.
Byleth only woke up the following evening, yawning so loudly it made the three healers giggle before throwing themselves onto their professor.
Later that night, Byleth explained that she had received the blessing of the goddess of that world, which allowed her to escape the darkness, perpetually changing her hair to the color akin to the goddess'.
That intrigued Wolfram to no end -- could their goddess also open a portal to a different world, like Naga did? Wolfram could barely hear Naga's voice from Fódlan -- it was so, so far away Wolfie could barely hear it as a whisper during the quietest of nights -- but it still made him wonder if She could also transform a human into a manakete-looking person.
There were so many questions. Did the goddess herself make Byleth that way? What was Rhea, then, if that was the case? She was a shape-shifter who carried a presence almost as powerful as Byleth, a non-shape-shifter. Somehow, Wolfie could still tell that although Byleth carried the Blood within her, she didn't possess an inner beast. So what could the relation be between the two of them and this goddess?
Naga helped the manaketes because she was quite literally the Mother of them all, almost on par with being a goddess herself, though she denied being so when asked about it. Was this the case in Fódlan where their goddess helped the humans instead? So many questions!
It all ate Wolfram away slowly, over the course of the next few days. He would often sneak out of Caspar's room at night to stretch his wings and clear his thoughts, even though every single time he returned, he would do so with more questions instead of answers. Should he reveal himself to Byleth and ask her straight ahead? That started to seem the most reasonable approach…
Distracted, Wolfram perched himself atop the Goddess Tower, a frown deep in his brow. “But then what happens if I DO say it and Byleth still doesn’t have the answers I’m looking for? Grahh, it would’ve been much easier if only I could hear Naga properly! Last time I asked, I could only make out ‘power in the heart’ and ‘terrible past’, but that doesn’t answer anything! Though I did managed to see the place of that ‘terrible past’ with my own eyes earlier last month.” He mused, flying back to the dormitories, intent on landing in front of the greenhouse.
He wasn’t thinking of his surroundings, too absorbed in his own musings to realize that someone had been watching him ever since he flew over the Goddess Tower.
“Wolfram?” A familiar voice snapped the half manakete out of his deviations, while he was still holding his own dragonstone to pull his wings back.
A chill ran down Wolfie’s stomach, making his entire body freeze. He had been seen!
His wings! His dragonstone! His ears! His tail! His secret!
“Um, I can explain, Dimitri.”

PAX 2019
October 12th 2019
I don’t normally write posts about conventions. But PAX this year is an exception! Holy shit, it was amazing lol!
Alright, so I had some main quests walking into PAX. These were:
Meet Former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker. He happened to be attending PAX for the weekend, so meeting him was a must.
Meet a Twitch Bae (Wolfy) from WA who I followed a week prior to PAX LOL.
These two quests were of absolute necessity to pass in order for a successful con to be successful. I’ll be honest: I’m not much of a gamer these days (filthy casual!), and playing games and shit was more of a side aspect of it hahaha.
Meeting Robert Whittaker was going to be a real pain in the ass. One: he’s consistently on the move in a huge convention centre with a sold out capacity and not a stationary target. And two: he looks exactly like a normal guy. He’s not going to stand out like say, an Alistair Overeem or a Francis Ngannou.
In order to find him, I had to form a squad. Me and two of my guys formed a team to find him, and had a group chat too lol. If any of us were to find him, we’d tell the group ASAP and then the person who found him would tail him so that the other members can tail him so we can meet him lol.
Anyways! After about 1.5 - 2 hours, I had a lead! The first lead I had (his IG story) had me find his location. Me and the boys full analysed the story lol, such as the texture of the floor, the surroundings; and we now knew he was wearing a red shirt, which made the search hella easier! Unfortunately though, we missed him by mere minutes LOL. FML!
Another full scale search of the convention center ensued... and we still couldn’t find him. We were about to give up. But then with me having his Story notifications on, I had another lead of his location. I sent it to the boys, and they quickly figured out where he was. Unfortunately, I was split up from them at the time.
So my guys headed out to the location, while my other guy met me at an in between point to escort me to the location after confirming him as being present at the location (he was having lunch); as I had no idea where the fuck it was LOL. Anyways, we made a MAD run for it!
And what do you know! I FINALLY see Robert Whittaker! He’s a mad cunt, and I’m really out of breath but fanboying hard at him! I tell him that he’s a National Hero of Australia, a true inspiration to Aussies worldwide, a legend, a sick cunt, as well as Australia’s champion lol. I also told him about how hard me and the crew were searching for him lol. He had a good laugh and also appreciated me for the kind words.
He’s so kind! What a legend! Anyway - that’s the first quest complete! My only regret is that I should have asked him for a follow on Instagram lol. He might’ve followed me back if I asked him lol, as he’s a very kind guy, and the fact that I was trying to track him down for 3-4 hours lol.
He might’ve especially followed me if I referenced it like a nerd, for example: “Hey Robert my man, is there any chance you could follow me on the Gram? I’ve been trying to find you for 3-4 hours bro, and it would be the ultimate reward for my quest if you could follow me on Instagram.” LOL. But it’s all good: I was really puffed out when I met him, as I ran full speed with quite a lot of equipment in my bag, as well as in sneakers lol.
Now for the second quest! Meeting up with Wolfy who I’ve been following (although not for too long lol). I easily find her location thanks to Discord, and then I meet up with her as well as other people who wanted to meet her lol.
This is cool and all, but tbh, I really would’ve preferred to meet her 1 on 1 lol. This would allow me to get to know her on a more personal level lmao. So we all end up watching a WWE panel together (I really needed the rest as well so this was good lol I was mentally and physically exhausted from the mission to find Whittaker) which was nice. Then from there, we just walked around the convention for a bit.
I was getting a bit bored to be honest, as her attention seemed to be more towards people she was more familiar with lol. And I ain’t great at navigating through group social situations where I know nobody lmao. Although she did talk to me a bit, which was nice.
So I just split up from them, but not before getting a nice solid hug lmao! I fkn love hugs from good looking girls lmao.
But more importantly, I asked if we could do a follow for follow on Instagram. And yay, she follows me now! She doesn’t follow too many people on Insta either, so double yay! Haha! I hope my posts and stories and shit I do in the future impresses her lmfao! Cause she’s a super nice and great girl! Hahaha!
...if she was Melbourne based, I’d totes be trying to date her. Not gonna lie LOLOLOL. Alas...
But yeah! What a great con! The mission to find Robert Whittaker was just pure comedy and fun, and meeting Wolfy (Twitch streamer) was cool too. She’s so cute, nice and awesome hahaha. I consider getting her to follow me on IG to be a win, as I can’t really talk to her too in depth in a group situation haha!

I love au's can you write this "Our little siblings are on rival sports teams and I’ve made it my life goal to cheer louder than you" for kalagang and thank you
In which I make Felix into Wolfgang’s literal brother becausewho else would be Wolfgang’s younger sibling? I also have literally no idea what Daya’s age is in canon, so I know Ihad her only like two years younger than Kala in a different AU, but there’s amuch bigger gap in this fic. Hope thatdoesn’t bother anyone haha. Also forgiveme for being a lame American, but I picked soccer as the sport and couldn’tbring myself to call it football ‘cause I barely know how people talk aboutsports here in the States let alone elsewhere. (In writing this fic I also realized that the only sports I know shitabout are not at all team sports lol. Anyone need a tennis AU?) Uhhh Ithink the only other context that needs to be given is that Wolfgang and Kalaare high school aged here.
Also, I realized I’ve been forgetting to link to the prompt posts you guys are referencing. For anyone who’s wondering, prompts can be found here! I hope you enjoy this! Remember to keep fighting for this show that we love.
—
Going to Daya’s soccer game that day had not exactly beenKala’s first choice of things to do. Buther parents’ pleading eyes had been too much for her to deny, so Kala findsherself sitting in a stiff lawn chair on the side of a field as her younger sisterruns around in her red jersey. It’s hotout, but Kala’s never minded the heat all that much, so she does her best totry to get comfortable for the game.
All of the kids playing are in the 8-10 age bracket, youngenough for the teams to still be co-ed. Kala watches her sister fondly, but paying all that much attention towhat’s actually happening in the game until a skinny boy from the other teamscores a goal. The other side of thefield cheers, although one person’s voice is easily the loudest. “Yeah, Felix! That’s right!”
Kala sees her own sister’s face fall and decides she can’tlet some random boy spoil Daya’s day. “Comeon, Daya!” she shouts. “You’ve got this!” Her parents look at her in surprise, but they’renot entirely displeased. Her sisterlooks at her and grins, then gets back to running cheerfully. Within a few minutes, Daya makes a pass theresults in a goal for her own team. “GoDaya!” Kala cheers.
From the other side of the field Kala hears, “Don’t let themstop you, Felix!” This time, she’s ableto figure out who is shouting for this particular kid. It turns out to be a boy who looks around herage. He’s blond and stocky, his face allsharp features. (She tries not to thinkabout how handsome he is. She’s with herfamily, after all.)
She looks directly at the boy before yelling, “Get ‘em, Daya!” And maybe that was a bit intense for a kid’ssoccer game. Her mother shoots her alook, but Kala doesn’t care. The blondboy across the field is looking at her now, too. (Now she’s trying not to think about thebackflips her stomach is doing.) “I justwant her to feel supported,” Kala offers to her mom, who nods skeptically.
The kids run around the field for several more minutes beforemuch more progress is made. That doesn’tstop Kala and her new rival from vocalizing their support, though. By the time the referee calls halftime, shefinds herself feeling a bit hoarse already.
“Kala, Kala!” her sister calls as she runs over. Their father is already pulling out a waterbottle, and by the time Daya arrives he has it ready to hand to her. She grabs it and takes a few big gulps beforeturning back to Kala. “You were so loud,it was awesome!”
Kala finds herself looking down in embarrassment. “I just wanted to cheer you on,” she replies.
“It’s awesome. You’reputting Felix’s brother to shame!”
“You know the boy on the other team?” Kala asks before shecan stop herself.
Daya nods. “FelixBogdanow. He goes to my school.”
Kala briefly wonders about how the rec-league separated theirsoccer teams and figures this Felix kid must just live in another part oftown. (And with a name like that, shewonders what his older brother’s must be. Not that it’s important.) Beforeshe can ask any more questions, though, their mother is insisting Daya eat asnack and drink more water. Soon, thereferee is blowing her whistle and it’s time for Daya to run back to her team.
Kala grabs her own bottle of water and takes a few sips tosoothe her throat, preparing for the second half of the soccer game. After another minute or so, the kids arerunning around again and she is back to cheering on her sister. From the other side of the field, she hearsFelix’s brother shouting again as well.
Not long later, Felix’s team scores another goal. The boy isn’t involved in the play, but thatdoesn’t stop his older brother from screaming as if he’s the star player. “Felix! Felix! Felix!” he chants.
She’s not usually loud, but Kala is not one to beoutdone. When play resumes, Kala is outof her seat, yelling support to Daya non-stop. She doesn’t even know most of the rules of soccer, but she finds herselfinvested in the outcome of the game nonetheless. (It has nothing at all to do with occasionalintense stares she receives from the boy yelling on the other side of thefield. Nothing at all.) The game looks like it’s about to go to Felix’steam when, in the last minute, a girl on Daya’s team manages to score a finalgoal. Kala erupts at this, yelling indelight as if her sister has just won a professional game instead of tying in arec-league match. After this goal, thetimer runs out before any more goals can be made, and the tie stands.
The two teams of children gather around their variouscoaches, then meet in the middle of the field do the customary line ofhandshakes with each other. After this, they’re finally done. Daya runs back toher family and hugs Kala around the waist. “I’m so glad you came!” she says. “You’re the best cheerleader ever!”
Kala gives her sister a smile, trying to convince herselfthat that supporting her sister had been her only intention. Before she answers, though, she sees the boyDaya pointed out as Felix and his older brother walking over toward them. Kala looks around herself. Her sister has already gotten distracted bysomething and is running off to talk to a friend, Kala’s parents chasing afterher. Suddenly, she’s alone.
To her surprise, it’s the little boy who runs up to herfirst, pulling his older brother by the hand behind him. “Wolfie, c’moooon,” he whines. The older boy chuckles and catches up,finally coming to stand in front of her.
“Uh, hello?” Kala says, the greeting coming out as aquestion. She’s not sure why they’vecome over here.
Felix grins widely. “Wolfiehas something to say to you.”
The older boy (Wolfie?) gives his younger brother alook. “What Felix means is that he has something he wanted me to say.”
Felix looks almost betrayed. “You said we should always show respect to worthy opponents. I’ve never heard anyone scream as loud as youbefore.”
Kala blushes and the older boy snorts. “You already showed respect to your opponentsby shaking their hands,” Felix’s brother says.
The younger boy shakes his head fervently. “Not them! I mean she was your opponent! You guys were definitely the loudest.”
His older brother sighs, then sticks out a hand for Kala toshake. “I’m not likely to convince himwe weren’t fighting each other,” he offers as explanation.
(Kala doesn’t mention that she kind of was fighting the other boy. Maybe it was just her, and he really didn’t care. She’s not going to make this anymore awkwardthan it already is.) She accepts hishand and shakes it. “I’m Kala,” shesays.
The older boy nods. “Wolfgang,”he replies.
Wolfgang. She’s definitely never met someone with thename before, but it suits him somehow. Kala’s not sure if it’s his light coloring, high cheekbones, or hisfierce blue eyes, but he seems like someone who can pull it off. “Nice to meet you, Wolfgang.”
Satisfied that his brother has finally honor his opponent,Felix runs off to go say hi to some of his friends. Now it’s just Kala and Wolfgang. “So do you always go to your sister’s games?”he asks.
She shakes her head. “No,usually just my parents come. I got sortof dragged into it,” Kala replies with a laugh. “You?”
Wolfgang nods. “It’sjust us,” he says quietly, more of an answer than Kala feels she’s owed.
“I’m sorry,” she replies softly.
He shakes his head. “Don’tbe,” Wolfgang replies with a cryptic look. “We don’t need anyone else.”
Kala nods. She doesn’tquite understand, but who is she to judge? Her parents start walking back toward them, and she sighs. As reluctant as she had been to come, shefinds herself not wanting to leave.
Wolfgang sees them and gets the hint. He steps back a bit and his expressionchanges. It looks like he’s trying todecide something. Then after a moment, “CouldI see you again?”
“What?” Kala asks, caught off guard. (Stupid, stupid, stupid, she tells herself. What kind of answer is that?)
“Sorry, never mind,” he says, turning to leave.
“No wait,” Kala says, stopping him mid-motion. He turns back toward her. “Um, I mean. Yes. You can.” She swallows hard. This is not her forte. “See me again, I mean.”
Wolfgang flashes her a grin. He digs into his pocket for a sec, then pulls out his phone. “Do you want to trade numbers?”
For half a second, there is a flash of doubt in hermind. She doesn’t know this boy atall. But Kala looks into his expectanteyes and can’t find it in herself to even want to say no. She reaches into her purse and grabs her owncell phone. The two of them trade, putting their numbers into each other’s respective contact lists. When Wolfgang hands Kala back her phone, their fingers brush each other. (Shepointedly ignores how it feels almost like electricity between them. Must be static or something.)
“See you later?” he asks, a small smile still playing on hislips.
Kala nods, mouth dry. “Yeah,”she says. “Later.”
Then Wolfgang leaves and her family comes back, grabbingtheir things to get ready to leave. “Whowas that?” her father asks.
Kala looks down at the phone in her hand, and she can’t helpher own smile from forming. “No one,”she replies, knowing that’s as far from the truth as possible.

GRAPS AND CLAPS DOES ALLY PALLY PROGRESS
Hello again everyone and welcome to the story of Show 70 of the #100showyear which took me to the Christmas darting mecca of Alexandra Palace for Progress Wrestlings biggest show of the year - Chase The Sun.
But first of all it was the longer than usual travel down to the capital via trams, trains and tubes with the added entertainment of our group doing our best Pete Dunne impressions supposedly "Everything is mine" in a dour brummie accent.
Arriving in Wood Green before the 20 minute walk up Muswell Hill we took in a decent little pub called The Jolly Sailor or something to that effect and was greeted with very good beer prices for a London boozer - £3.60 for Coors, £4.10 for Wolf Rock and £4.60 for Blue Moon, the bar lady overheard of my liking for slices of orange in a pint of Blue Moon so out of kindness and service she sent her faithful bar assistant out to the local grocers for some oranges, low and behold a slice of orange ended up in my drink 😍.
Drinks done it was time to take the hike up to Ally Pally which on a nice day is a lovely walk to do with views of the London skyline to the left hand side of you which in the evening can be a fantastic sight to see. Arriving at Ally Pally it was time to find our seats which due to arriving an hour before the show started meant we were more to the back of row 11/12 with a central view, the set up was very much like the set up WCPW does with their seating in the aircraft hangar called Bowlers. Atmosphere wise it was much noisier than the previous years Brixton Academy show with it making it more accessible for people to mingle with their wrestling friends. The option to stand up at the back was there if you couldnt see anything from your seats which i took advantage of, but our Geoff stopped in his seat all night and seemed to like it there.
Pre show match was Chuck Mambo beating Spike Trivet in what i was told was a short affair but missable , because i had gone to get beer refreshments at the nearby bar before the main show had started.
Hop House Lager - £5, Fosters £4.80, Deuchars £4.50
Show started with a great video package to the familiar tune starter Started From The Bottom by Drake, and after the usual opening dialogue from Jim Smallman it was time to get on with the show with the visible ladders around the ring it was time to start with the Progress Tag Title Ladder Match with British Strong Style (Champions) vs CCK.
This was a fine opener with the early stages of the match based more around wrestling than using the ladders. Once the ladders came into play some cool offence was used including back suplexes on to the ladder, Kid Lykos being carried whilst on the ladder by Bate and Seven and then flung over the top rope to the Progress security below. The ending came when Brookes and Tyler Bate were fighting atop of the ladder with Bate being backbody dropped on to a raised ladder which was held on the ropes. With the prone Bate on the deck, Brooks climbed the ladder to grab the belts and your new champions - CCK to the satisfaction of the 2,500 strong crowd.
Next up it was a battle of Australia vs New Zealand with Womens Champion Toni Storm vs Dahlia Black. Again another good match here with both women having opportunities early on to take the upper hand, Toni Storm hit a piledriver on Black for a close 2 nearfall to the amazement of the crowd. The finish came when Black got crotched on the top rope and was prone to a nasty german suplex from the top by Toni who then proceeded to finish Black off with the match winning piledriver. After the match Jinny came in to attack Dahlia clamping Blacks previously injured leg in a chair and stamping on it, so it looks like it will be Dahlia vs Jinny for the near future leaving Toni Storm opponentless for the time being which is a bit strange.
Zack Sabre Jr was next for his mystery opponent challenge which was answered to a huge pop - i had goosebumps for this moment just wow by Marty Scurll returning for the first time since January where he was eliminated from the ThunderBastard Match but since being away from Progress has become a huge star thanks to his association with The Bullet Club - they are a huge cash cow. Anyways this match was another great match in the Sabre vs Scurll story lasting 20 minutes both guys going hold for hold knowing each and every step their opponent would make. Eventually Sabre Jr got the win with the bridging roll up for the 1-2-3, Scurll after the match then gave what looks like to be his farewell to Progress for good - make your own mind up on why, but Scurll is certainly someone who Progress could do with at the top end of the card once British Strong Style decamp to WWE.
Deathmatch time with perennial moaners about who is the rightful no.1 contender Jimmy Havoc vs Mark Haskins. I might be in the minority on my opinion here but even though it was a good match at times, i did feel the atmosphere went a bit flat here after following Sabre vs Scurll. It did have its moments with Haskins using The Death Valley Driver on Havoc off the stage through a table, many thumbtack spots and even Vicky Haskins getting involved passing a barb wire bat to Mark Haskins and then proceeding to walk off which was a bit head scratching, surely you stay there to help your husband lay the beatdown to Havoc. Havoc because of this took advantage winning with a barb wore assisted rainmaker for the win. Ok match but as explained bloody head scratching stuff with Vicky Haskins more the baddie in this piece than Mark Haskins. Seeing Ben and Chris at half time they uttered many a "Shit" "Crap" and "Fuck" about this match.
Back from half time it was time for a big announcement with Progress's big show in 2018 taking place at Wembley Arena, very ambitious as per ICW doing the Hydro. I think sleeping on my opinion from last night Progress will easily get 5/6k to the show but i am all of the worry that the boom of the UK scene can all come to a halt like that, hopefully it doesnt but with Progress they seem to have a great relationship with WWE at the moment so all looks rosy.
Three way Atlas action next with Champion Matt Riddle vs Walter vs Timothy Thatcher. Cracking hard hitting 3 way match with the basis of the action being Walter and Riddle hitting each other really hard with Thatcher playing the third wheel. There was one spot in this match which Progress have on their twitter timeline with a massive triple german suplex being performed - Riddle went flying nearly out of the ring, the finish came with Walter choking out Matt Riddle to get back his Atlas title which he lost in the States to Riddle. A new contender them came down to the ring to face off with Walter - it was ICW and WWE UK star Wolfgang to a decent ovation, dont get me wrong i think Wolfie is very good and provides a different challenge to the Atlas division but the WWE UK fingerprints were in the back of my head seeing this.
The 8 man no.1 contenders scramble match was next with Mark Andrews vs Damien Dunne vs Eddie Dennis vs Jack Sexsmith vs Strangler Davis vs James Drake vs Flash Morgan Webster vs Zack Gibson. Good action as you would expect with the 8 men involved, looking at the match beforehand i would have gone for a Morgan Webster or Zack Gibson win here with the probable Travis Banks win in the Main Event in hindsight but sadly i was wrong with regular no.1 contender Mark Andrews picking up the win here, don't get me wrong i think Andrews is fantastic to watch and is a great babyface but he is rivalling Mark Haskins for No.1 contender opportunities. After the match a shock heel turn here with Eddie Dennis turning in his FSU partner to the boos of the audience, i suppose FSU have done everything as a team in Progress and it brings a new side to Eddie that hasn't been seen in ages but so soon after The Riots split up this is now 2 long standing teams gone from the tag division.
Flash Morgan Webster i dont know where they go from here with him, another failed opportunity missed here for him.
Now The Main Event with Pete Dunne (Champion) facing Travis Banks for the Progress World Title. A very good main event here but one spot that did cheese me off a bit was a point where British Strong Style hit a Piledriver/Tyler Driver 97/Bitter End Trifecta and Travis kicked out at 2 which sounds as silly as it reads. That aside it was fantastic to see Travis Banks submit Pete Dunne to end the near year long reign of The Bruiserweight to a huge pop, this was the natural result that should have went down and it did. It now sets up fresh matches at the top of the card with Jimmy Havoc and Mark Andrews vs Banks but with Pete Dunne maybe gone for the moment it leaves a gap for a tosser at the top - maybe Webster/Brookes or TK Cooper when he returns but we will just have to wait and see.
Show done it was time to make the walk back down Muswell Hill to Wood Green and a stop off in the Wood Green Wetherspoons for some tea - Beef and ale pie for £6.99 and a pint for £2.18 all good quality fare. Sink it in £2.18 FOR A PINT IN LONDON!!!!
Overall a great show but with a couple of gripes as described above (The Progress Fan Forum Police Siren will be sounding haha!) but certainly betfer than Brixton last year. Was great to see a lot of the graps gang make the trip to Ally Pally and they were rewarded with a fantastic venue.
Next trip is to 53two in Manchester on Sunday for Futureshock Reloaded with the main evemt of Pete Dunne vs Soner Durson. #grapsandclaps

Crossover Day!
Kenya/Tanzania day 1 Well folks, we made it to Tanzania. It wasn't an easy transition, but here we are. We got up early and left the Sopa of Amboseli. We had to drive back through the park to get to the border, so it was almost like a game drive, but not since the top was down. I had told one of the women selling jewelry that I would but from her today, since I wasn't in the mood to buy some yesterday. Her name was Elizabeth and I remembered it since that's my middle name. That morning, when we got there and had to wait, I saw her with another jeep so I figured she wouldn't make it to ours before we got in. I was wrong. I bought from a different lady and then she walked over, and I was so bummed. She was too. Whoopsie. She even had set aside the one I 'kind of' liked. They remember everything. Oh well, lesson learned. We made a stop at the exit of the park to use the potty and take some last minute pictures. There aren't pictures allowed at the border crossing so we got that out of the way. It was a really pretty drive to the border. We also saw a new animal! I can't remember the name but it was like an antelope just had a really long neck like a giraffe. It was probably called giraffalope. Finally we pulled up the border and all our new guides were there waiting for us. It's the same company, so when Simon was excited to see who it was we all relaxed a little bit. Our new guides name is Wolfugan, and he's pretty awesome! Not much older than me and Jo, so we will get along fine! The first step at the border is to check out of Kenya, so you wait in line and they stamp your passport with an exit stamp. We then had to go back outside and say goodbye to the Kenyan guides. Sad to see them go. Simon was sad too, so that makes it hard!! We then got in our new jeeps and headed for the Tanzania border patrol. This was a nightmare!! Wolfy sent us to one side and it ended up being the opposite. They had just switched it two days before to try and eliminate the corruption going on with guards pocketing money instead of putting it towards the visas. The guys in the office were super overwhelmed with all of us and it ended up taking about 2 hours to get us all through. You had to have your yellow fever card checked, fill out a paper, then get another paper with a stamp to take to the bank across the street. You pay the bank, get a stamp, and then come back to get your passport. It was super unorganized, which is understandable since it's new, but it was still frustrating. We finally made it out and started our long drive to Arusha. The way there had great paved roads, so we were thrilled about that! No African massage for now! We learned about the way Tanzania came to be, about the differences between Kenya and Tanzania and then just got to relax and take in new scenery. In Arusha we stopped for lunch at a large shopping plaza. It was a buffet, surprise, and then we got a little time to browse before we took off. The Tanzania GoAhead guy, George, came to check on us and scared us all about the Tse Tse flies. A lot of people bought new shirts because they were afraid we were going to get bitten. It was a long drive to our first game drive, but in this jeep we get to listen to music. That at least helps the time go by a little bit faster. We passed huge fields of sunflowers and fields of coffee plants. It's much different than Kenya. It's also not littered with trash. I'm not sure if that's just this area or the country as a whole, but it's a nice change of pace. The biggest difference between Kenya and Tanzania is technology. Apparently Kenya is way ahead when it comes to technology, but they are way behind on things like infrastructure (roads being the main thing). It's really cool to be able to say we did two countries on this trip! We pulled up to the entrance to the park and got ready for our first game drive in Tanzania. We kept saying we had seen it all, so we weren't sure what would be different this time around. Well it's definitely different this time around. This park is so green! The trees are beautiful and there's plenty of food for all the animals to eat. We got to see our first baobab trees and they are huge! They are only found in this park on the mainland of Africa, so that's pretty cool. We also saw some zebras in a line so we consider that seeing the zebra migration. My aunt Janette is so happy, it's her dream! A new addition to the animal list is some kind of giant lizard thing. I don't remember the name but it was big. We also saw another leopard in a tree! Can you believe that? I can't!! That's 3 in total, even though I don't count the first one because we barely saw it. Still, that's amazing! I would never have thought we would see any, let alone 3. Best luck ever! Running giraffes were also a highlight of this game drive. They are really cool to watch run. So graceful and so weird. I can't imagine having to move that big neck with such skinny little legs. We were wondering if they were being chased, but we never saw the reason for their running. I probably wouldn't want to see a giraffe get eaten, I just love them too much!! Oh, and let's talk about ostriches. Maybe I already have, but I would like to talk about them again. They are the weirdest freaking creatures. I also have a hard time believing that they live in the wild, but here they are. The males are black and the females are grey, and they are pretty massive! We saw quite a few of them tonight just out walking around with their giant necks out. Haha. They are ridiculous. We also had a pretty great sunset. Then we had to zip through the rest of the park to get to our new hotel. It's super nice. The one great thing about this trip is the 4 and 5 star hotels we have been staying at! The internet is pretty crummy, but the showers are hot and the rooms are awesome! Wish we were spending more than one night here. We have to get up early tomorrow to make the long drive to the Serengeti. Can't believe I'm going there!! Eeeeeeeee! Goonight!!

Air Where a G-String Should be !
Good Morning Guitar Nerds!
well i am guessing thats who would want to read this blog.. and nosey people! haha i see you sneaking in a perv!!! oh wait thats the Gear Porn Addicts!
Anyways STRINGS!!!
I have always been a user of Ernie ball regular slinky strings.
(since discovering James Hetfield used them)
before this i always used. El Cheapo Encore strings
Sorry i can find an Old Pack Image :(
I have to say for the most part i was happy with the Slinky set.. and this was something i kept up till i think 2016 when after a lot of YouTube videos and seeing reviews and such i decided to switch brands and try something else.. and i think this is a really the mantra of this blog .. TRY THINGS don't Let someone tell you what is GOOD and what is BAD..
Music is not about "Who is the Best" or "what is the best" .. it is WHAT is the BEST for you!!
You are the one playing the instrument, ETC.....
so if you like one brand of guitar and it feels good to you, and it causes you to be creative, motivated, and have fun then the goal is achieved..
This is not meant as a discrimination blog about if a companies product is better than another. But more if its good for ME.. does it give me what i require..
so back to strings..
so i brought a guitar from ebay, (yes there is a pattern here.. eBay is my enabler!!)
my names wolfie and i have a problem..
and i thought this is a good chance to try some new strings. see if they fit with me..so having seen good things about d'addario NYXL i decied to give them a wirl
i have to say i didn't like them all that much.. they did last a fair bit longer than regular stings being coated, but for the cost they were not the tone changing set to my ears. they didnt feel comfortable for me to play. (Again I STRESS!! this is my opinion, you might put them on your guitar and its a complete game changer.) try them if you like them GREAT
when the time came to change (i have to say i felt for me when they did start to break down, they really felt uncomfortable to me) ( they had been on since 25/01/2016)
I Tried the Regular XL Nickel wound D'addario set
Click for Specs
These were Close to the Old Ernie Balls again nothing special to my fingers.. (I Believe were restrung) 29/07/2016 and .. Changed 31/03/1017
Yes i prob should change my strings more often..
but when you have a guitar collection and the price of strings these days .. it gets a little pricey
anyway i digress.
Next was Clear Tone
Click for Specs
Monster Heavy Tone 10s
Did i like these? short answer the were OK again didn't move me and these were installed 31/3/2017 and they are now as off 6/6/2012 need changing.. again this is just me.. and you might find these are your string.. again i URGE everyone to experiment, do let someone tell you what is good and what is not.. its you that has to live with everything you choose.. i just giving out my experience and thoughts..
(i have 2 more packs of these for drop tunings which i am now in 2 minds about installing) as they are ok but dont give me the warm fuzzy feeling
one 2 other guitars i have tried 2 other brands.
my HSH superstrat that i rebuilt
With the Green on black theme.. i had to try
DR NEON Green
Click for specs
and i have to say (regardless of the fact i grabbed the wrong gauge.. picking the cheapest set i inadvertently picked up 11s..) which on this guitar in E is too much for me.. its a much harder fight with the bends)
i do like the way they feel to play...
I managed to get this guitar rebuilt and 99% completed for a gig i was doing with my band.. and i played it for 1 rehearsal on the Friday night, and the gig on the Saturday
for the most part the "Glow" Cloating stayed on well, on the majorly fretted notes it did wear off and around the area you hit with the plectrum. if you play hard.. i would say in my opinion.. if you want them to look good for each gig etc then you will have to change them regularly (which will get costly) but i think its worth it if this is your LOOK ..
The LOOK Awesome (thou a strong Black Light is needed on stage) and sound good .. (again subjective if it sounds good to your ears, thats all that is important as if it doesnt then you loose motivation and creativity ..)
DR Strings is defiantly one i want to put more time into trying as these strings are the first ones to make me go "ooo wow something feels different but good at the same time.."
I have DR Black Beauties for my Next Guitar Project, (my Epi Les Paul Prophecy)
and now i have to change the ones on my "Goto Guitar" for band Stuff, i will prob try their Regular strings
Next is my Wolf Les Paul Studio clone.. this got a Jimmy Page Wiring Upgrade. 07/08/2016
for this one i put on GHS boomers
Click for Specs
This is prob the cheapest pack that i tried..
and again i didn't get much difference from the d'addario XL and Ernie ball strings. they didn't wow me as they did others .
my feelings at the moment are that i will most likely go to DR strings but anything is possible.. i might find their "Regular" sets do not play nice in my hands and i only like the "neon" sets..
I have yet to try the new Ernie Ball Para Digm
Click for Specs
Or any of the Elixir Range
Click for Range
This looks a very complicated range in my opinion, with NANOWEB, POLYWEB & OPTIWEB.. again i have read and heard good things, but i have come to the conclusion that i have to make my own decisions.. and try not to be swayed by public opinion
Im sure there are many other brands that are worth looking at Dean Markley, Dunlop, Rotosound, will i get around to trying them all in my quest for tone, i dont know is the honest answer... my next choice is to try DR as so far this gave me the most "emotional" connection to a string.. if this doesn't work, i will try elixir and the new Ernie ball.. and after that if i get nothing from any of them. i will just go to the cheapest ....
Thanks for reading, if you like what you read, hear, see.. like share subscribe to "EVERYWHERE" for more insane ramblings & Musings.
Cheers Peeps

i figured out a plot point. see like, Rhia being in team whatsit, at face value, makes no fucking sense. she openly dislikes the group, she’s a bit lone-wolfy, the only benefit is that shes efficient and she supports part of their goal (the whole Fuck the Pokemon League thing)
but heres an idea. see, the thing with Rhia is, she’s legally a weird entity. cause like, after the raid thing, she as a person disappeared and Rhia emerged, out of some possibly misguided and immature desire to Never Fucking See Elliot Again. see, Rhia was convinced (rightly) that after a while Elliot would try to find her. He’d spin guilt, he’d wax philosophical, he’d try to convince her that he hadn’t done anything wrong when he left her in the base. so Rhia’s solution is to, as a person, disappear. hence being called Rhia. this is tough to separate because idk what her name was prior, but we’ll say it was Ebony. So, after the raid, Ebony disappears, though this is not known to anyone other than Elliot and it takes a while for the police to notice that this orphan hasn’t been seen in months.
Ebony vanishes, and Elliot hunts that empty trail. in her place is Rhia, a person who has no obvious connection to Ebony beyond vague aesthetics, which with time diminish (also she dyed her hair soooooo yknow)
but the thing is, Rhia needs to legally exist, which she doesn’t, in order to try and live a normal life. The Doctor and his family come up with the long ruse, that she’s the daughter of the Doc’s wife’s sister’s husband from a previous marriage. since that family (the Stantons, we’ll call them) live in Unova, noone can really confirm or deny that this is the case. Rhia simply is Mr Stanton’s daughter from one of his previous marriages, which can help to explain physical differences (takes after her mum) and again, just makes the whole explanation easier. but, yknow...... she still doesn’t exist.
THATS where team whatsit come in! theyre essentially a mafia, and the cover group is all about community protection. it makes sense that they could pull some strings and get a unovan contact to create identity papers for Rhia that can then be used to apply for [Region we’re in] Citizenship, allowing her to go to school and all that Funky Business. this does mean, however, that either the Doc or Rhia owes team whatsit a favour. a BIG favour. shits fucking difficult, yo. Unovan contacts are hard to come by.
as the Doc is already in team whatsit, as one of its admins, it falls to Rhia to ‘make up for the investment’. hence, when shes a lil older (bearing n mind that she as Ebony ceased to exist when she was like, 14) she joins team whatsit against her wishes because she is in their debt and she wants to repay it as quickly as possible so she can just exist. ofc, you dont ‘get out’ of a mafia, thats not how mafias work. but thats what she thinks, and thats what the Doc thinks too. both of them think that if she just does a good job, she’ll be allowed to just. exit. whoops. the Doc is a bit naive. he sorta has to be for his character to remotely work as a part of team whatsit.
but yea. Rhia’s in Team Whatsit because shes indebted to them for allowing her to live her life as Rhia Stanton, Unovan living in [Region]. of course, the ISSUE is that she doesn’t look or sound Unovan, unlike Mr Stanton. again, they probably explain it as the wife (the og Mrs Stanton) being from [Region], plus the fact that the current Mrs Stanton (remember, the Doc’s wife’s sister) is from [Region], and its like, yea, she’s really assimilated or whatever. PLUS, after they figured out the cover story, they actually did go and visit Unova (which was already planned and this just lined up) and Rhia was able to absorb some Unovan culture. she fucking loves it.
I chose Unova specifically because of the Battle Subway. i think Rhia would love it. since she’s disillusioned with the Pokemon League, she seeks alternatives. stuff like Battle Cafes and the Battle Maison. Pokemon Frontier, Pokeathlon even. when shes older (and when shes ‘free’ haha) she’d probably go on a lil world wide tour to all these alternative places of Elite Trainers and just go to fucking town. god she’d looooove it.
the fact she thinks she can ‘get out’ also serves to explain why she’s got as much influence as she does and essentially serves as a 4th admin (with Doc, CEO and Small Fry). because she’s trying hard to do the best job she can so she can get out quicker, repay her debt faster, yknow. you feel it? yea.
i just think this works better than my original idea, which was that Rhia was pestering the family about repaying them, and that the Doc blurted it out to the CEO who suggested she join Team Whatsit. because that’d require the CEO to be a nice person who would be approachable about family issues. which she isnt. the CEO is just sorta weird. i mean, Rhia probably WORKS for her, on the official, she’s an employee of the front company and she does the security shit. but it wouldnt make sense for the Doc to vent to CEO about his family issues and it doesn’t make sense for him to then agree to CEO’s idea that Rhia join team whatsit. i mean, in the end, it probably WAS CEO’s idea that Rhia join team whatsit, but in less of a ‘friendly recommendation between colleagues’ way and a more ‘someone has to pay the debt’ way, if you feel me there.
Also because im 90% sure that the Doc would never interact with CEO anyway???? he’s not an employee of the front company. they’ve nothing personally in common. CEO is sorta weird. they only interact professionally in Team Whatsit, and never outside. so. yknow...... yea. plus its probably safer if the major players (Doc CEO the leader guy and Small Fry) dont publicly associate anyway. to keep the authorities guessing. the authorities catch CEO, and nothing in anything she has would link to Doc, Leader or Small Fry. it’d link to Rhia through the company, and the authorities are likely to investigate all people in the company, but not everyone IN the company is in Team Whatsit. there are genuine workers in it. its just ran by Team Whatsit members and a lot of its personnel and volunteers are team whatsit. thats just how it works.
this works good, though. still need to work out what her original name was, though. (ive decided that Rhia as a name is completely unrelated to who she was before. like she just straight up reinvented herself. Rhia Stanton, Unovan born, [Region] raised.) it wont be Ebony, because while i like the name, id also like for every main character’s names to start with different letters. writing convention. so since i already named Elliot and wont rename him unless the ground gives way, she needs a different name. possibly one dripping with symbolism.
