1) its not one of my main ships. i dont rlly read fanfic for them but if i see a cute fanart of them ill enjoy it and i think i first started shipping it because of good fanarts for them.

2) i like yuetara because of how similar they are. theyre both women from the water tribe. they both understand the misogyny that they have faced. and they both said f sexism im gonna be a strong woman. i also love the tui and la parallel. moon spirit and ocean spirit parallel COME ON. YUE IS THE MOON. KATARA IS THE MOST POWERFUL WATERBENDER. THEY ARE THE OCEAN AND THE MOON. the push and pull they could give eachother. that dynamic ftw.

3) i guess if i didnt like something about this ship would be the fact that if i read a fic or see a fanart w yuetara then than means in that particular au i wont get any yuekka and yuekka is probably my second favorite ship. but then again if i get yuetara than i could get a plethora of other sokka ships to go with it so my sadness disappears in like two seconds. gosh shipping is hard sometimes until you remember ‘hey i have like fifty different universes in my head. all ur ships can coexist in ur brain olivia’ other than that i really see no downsides to this ship. maybe i wish it had more content. maybe if it had more content id ship it a lot more but its not one of the more popular ships so the content is kinda few n far between on my feed.

1) my boys. my babies. my loves. i watched this show for the first time when it came out on netflix and when it ended i really didnt ship anything other than kataang. i came onto tumblr to find fun atla content and one of the very first things i saw under the atla tag was zukka content. i was like oh? whats this? zukka? interesting... i was intrigued so i found a list of fic recs and i fell in love with the ship. the rest is history. its probably my number one ship because it was my very first ship here and im nostalgic

2) oh boy there is so much i like about this ship. i relate to a shit ton of characters in atla. but sokka and zuko may be the ones i relate to most. i relate to sokka because i tend to feel second best a lot to my friends. i try to stay positive but things rarely go the way i plan or hope for them too and while im happy for my friends and their achievements i oftentimes find myself thinking why cant that be me? and i see this a lot in sokka especially in sokkas master. i dont feel special a lot and idk seeing sokka feel the same way and then realizing he is special kinda helped me realize that im special too. on the flipside i relate to zuko because i have wild anger issues and difficulty dealing w my emotions a lot as well. i get broody and short tempered and insecure very often and i tend to push people away and i refuse to ask for help (the amount of teachers and adults and therapists who have told me its okay to ask for help ur not any weaker because of it is astounding. do i listen to them? .....im working on it.) and i saw a shit ton of this in zuko. book one and two zuko rarely asks for help as seen in the blue spirit and zuko alone and he pushes away uncle so many times and even when the gaang iffers to help him in i think its the chase he tells them to leave. when he finally has his redemption and joins the gaang and lets them kinda become a better person i was so happy. i want that for myself yk. seeing him finally win the agni kai and overcome his family that always told him he was nothing was such a win. my sister and i get along but when we were children we were very much like zuko and azula. it was extremely competitive all the time and there was so much toxicity and sibling drama to a concerning extent. we get along great now which im very happy about but yeah their sibling relationship hit a lil too on the nose for me. seeing as i relate to these character so much and want them ti be happy i want to live vicariously through them so seeing them together is amazing for me to project into them. i love projecting onto fictional characters and with them i can project onto BOTH so its a winwin. plus so many zukka fics are so well written and heartwarming and heartbreaking and emotional and fluffy anf UGH the talent here us astounding.

3) what do i not like about the ship? again the list is long. oops. mainly the toxic shippers. there are so many toxic zukka stans that sometimes make it hard for me to enjoy this ship but hey! thats what the block button is for:) i despise how often people infantilize zuko and completely ruin his character for the sake of making him a soft weak lil boy who needs protecting. thats just not zuko for me. and ive seen many many accounts even state that this kind of portrayal of zuko is rooted in racist stereotypes about asian men (now i am white so i personally have never experiences racism but i feel the need to bring that up because it is wrong and attention needs to be brought to it because a lot of poc fans have criticised this) and the same for sokka. some ppl rlly skew his character and make him a big strong brute and hypermasculine and once again poc fans have said that this take is rooted in racist stereotypes. again! these are just my opinions! this is my favorite ship! but i think its important to acknowledge some of the bad parts of our ships as well and be critical where criticism is needed :))

1) I LOVE MAIKO. “i dont hate you” “i dont hate you too” BRUH. my little heart just burst into flames. im sorry guys but maiko is so cute. they hate everything except eachother. BRUH that is one of the cutest tropes. i shipped them the moment i saw them together onscreen and i was so happy when zukos face lit up in the finale when mai came back.

2) “i hate everything but i have a soft spot for you” TAKE MY MONEY I AM A SUCKER FOR THIS. they are so cute together. like zuko is rarely happy in a majority of atla but mai makes him happy and i- 🥺🥺 HE DESERVES IT. and mai is always so supportive of him. when hes stressing out about the war meeting she tries her best to comfort him. and zuko cares about her too. he may not be the best at showing it but oh my god hes TRYING HIS BEST. i think its a very accurate portrayal of teenage relationships because they arent perfect and they do fight but like,, every teenage relationship does that. and even after everything and how he left her in the fire nation she still had his back at boiling rock. she still risked her life against azula to save his butt.

3) the thing i hate about maiko isnt even about maiko. its about antis who think mai is toxic and that zuko deserves better. that has got to be the worst take ive ever heard. they had a fight in ember island. that is NORMAL. they are teenagers. they are not perfect. but underneath all the rough edges and things they need to work out they still care about eachother so freaking much. i genuinelt believe that neither of them would do anything to intentionally hurt the other and i think thats what matters the most. if anything mai is the best girlfriend in the entire world because zuko fucked up like,, quite a few times. he got rlly jealous and dumped her thru a letter and ppl always say that mai was toxic for being mad at him for those two things. umm she had every right to be mad at him for both of those. and while zuko is allowed to feel his emotions and be angry sometimes as well sometimes he needs to think things thru and realize that hey maybe some if this jealousy is unfounded. BUT EVEN THEN. HE RESPECTED HER FEELINGS AND DIDNT TOUCH HER WHEN SHE SAID DONT TOUCH ME. HE RESPECTED HER. so i hate toxic maiko takes because they are literally so wrong in my opinion.

Anyways, I’m an 18 year old 03’ liner and I’m 5’6. As for looks, I’m african american so i have dark skin, brown eyes and cinnamon colored hair. I cut my hair really short above my ears. I look rather young for my age (unfortunately). I’m rather slim and i have long legs and arms so people say I look even taller than what i am. I have large round eyes a big forehead, a button nose, and thick(ish) lips with round cheeks(ok now i understand why ppl think i’m vv young 🙄) But nowadays i’m more confident in myself and it’s no longer an insecurity of mine. I’d like to say i’m very stylish yet i can’t pick an aesthetic for the life of me.

To sum up my fav aesthetic/style, i would have to say something that’s dark but sophisticated. Like dark academia, but add a bit more of an alt/goth style to it. I like listening to visual kei and rock music, but to be honest, I love all music, even country some times.

I’m from the south of usa, so that has influenced how i am A LOT. I usually don’t have an accent, but whenever i feel a really strong emotion, I get a really strong southern accent and it’s kind of funny. I also tend to go outside without any shoes or socks. I like playing with my pets outside the most, I have two dogs (one is a rottweiler and one is a bull dog), my cat (just a black cat) and my bird. I love love love animals. I love everything to do with nature as well, i feel a deep connection with nature, and once, i even cried while watching bees pollinate flowers help lol.

I’m very sensitive, and not in the “i’m always crying way”. Yet, when i do cry, i tend to cry over the smallest of things, like the bee one. But, I try my hardest to comfort others and help others because there seriously is no other happiness in the world that makes me more happy than making others happy.

I like to talk a lot, as well (as you can see), and i’ll talk about every topic. I tend to talk most about child birth and genetics weirdly enough, it’s so interesting to me. But i also love to talk about astrology, space, and conspiracy theories. I’m highly spiritual. I’m also highly creative. I love drawing, singing, dancing, acting, all of that. Drawing has always been my strongest suit before i somehow got bored of it, but i still draw every once and a while.

I also like playing sports, as i’m naturally athletic. I did ballet, tap dance, gymnastics, track and field, cheerleading, soccer, and softball. (i think cheer is a sport and i’ll argue with anyone on that). I’ve lived in america, germany, and south korea, and i want to travel to so many more places as i grow older.

As for relationship stuff, I’ve never been in a relationship. I’m scared of boys to be honest. I was bullied in school a lot for being “ugly” and it was always by boys so i’ve never really had the best experience with them. I’m still trying to gain my confidence so that i could try dating.

My ideal type is someone smart (though i don’t hate himbos lmao), but i like someone smart and mature. I like someone who works hard, but not someone who’s too serious. With people, i like to have those love/hate relationships lol like we make fun of each other but we also have our soft moments. As for looks, i don’t rlly have an ideal type, yet there’s a couple things that i would go for. I like someone who’s taller than me, has bigger hands than me (mine are 18cm 😥), and has nice legs (i tend to like thicker legs, but i don’t discriminate). I do think smaller guys around my height are so cute too tho, like UGH I CANT CHOOSE.

My ideal date would probably be anything other than going to a restaurant. Maybe later on in the relationship that would be fine, but to be honest, i’m very awkward and shy at first, so it would just be weird. I find that doing something fun together really let’s you find out more about a person rather than just talking. So maybe an amusement park, or even doing an escape room together.

As for love languages, i’m not a very touchy person. Sometimes, i’m STARVING for a hug, but most of the time i don’t like to be touched. I think my love language is acts of service, and idk what’s it’s called, but just trying to find out abt someone. Cherry magic was very cute and very hard hitting. Tbh Honestly I'm gonna be REAL... when I heard the premise it rlly rlly just sounded like fujo bait.. like its SUCH a cliche fanfic premise omg... like I rlly expected it to be kinda crude and simple. Like it's so gimmicky.. the fucking virgin magic stuff... it's such a gimmick omg.. I rlly rolled my eyes when I first heard abt it. Esp making the connection of cherry and virginity in the title like HELPGJFJDJSJ. Like I wasnt sure I'd like this but i know a lot of yall liked it and i trust my mutuals taste so i watched it and rlly I'm glad. The first 5 episodes made me like...bawl with how relatable and down to earth it was. Ik half of my lb was in japanese and maybe 1 person put it thru google translate outta curiosity but wow like that shit HURTED. God... when all u do as a 20 yr old is overwork urself and feel alienated from all ur peers and even ur friends for being boring... this hits a little different xoxoxo (I'm fine ♡)

The characters were a lot more fleshed out than I thought and while I can still see the tropes in them, I think the live action aspect rlly did it a service. Like if this was animated I wouldve 100 percent written it off as just fujo bait no matter what yall posted idc. But this as a drama felt super real. It was so on the nose abt the kind of anxieties someone like Adachi would have and treated his character with grace.

I rlly only have one notable complaint. I wouldve liked to see and that is having adachi initiate things a little more. Again, ik hes like 30 and never held a hand so hes timid and thats like part of his appeal. But I do wish the relationship seemed more balanced in terms of that stuff. Like if I was kurosawa and I always was the one intimating that stuff I would feel a little strange but it's fine. It's just a small pet peeve but I feel like that stuff and rlly the whole concept of adachi always being so timid goes into like yaoi couples being written with heteronormative ideas behind them. Like yes they're a gay couple but iirc the author is a straight woman or at least isnt mlm and I dont trust and idk.. there were a few moments were I was like... This seems like they're trying to be heteronormative and make adachi the "girl" in the relationship but it was mild but still I'm just a little :^///. Though the scene of Rokkaku standing up for minato and straight up saying like "so what if hes gay" made me drop it. Bc I'm rlly glad they just said it like that. Though again I'm still critical of the instances where the characters were like "but we're both men!" Usually it was like deconstructed like when Kurosawa said it in ep 4 I think. But then when adachi did it a few times I was like... king pls stop. Like generally speaking they did rlly well on the front of not making lgbt relationships taboo and there was no unnecessary homophobia subplots minus rokkakus misunderstand of tsuge. And Adachi never had any big crisis like "oh no I'm gay!! What shall I do!" but i still wish those aforementioned things didnt haooen as much but ANYWAYS... I just will ignore that for sake of I want to enjoy the rest of the series but still, I have my complaints.

Also.. just a personal thing but I WISH they wouldve used each others first names like at the very end.

My personal favorite trope in japanese media (I guess this would apply to most east Asian media but sh) is first name basis bc like family names are the default way to address someone so when I see a couple use first names or change to using first names when their relationship deepens I just Go Crazy.. I rlly love this trope but ik that most ppl probably dont care abt this thing.

Blinking was a common human activity and you did it all your life. But why did this blink suddenly bring you to Temple Gate? The land of the STD’s and murder? God really seems to hate you, doesn’t he?

The crows that sit upon the branches seem to think so, as they cackle to each other, almost as if they were laughing at your displeasure.

If blinking transported you into your video games, you really should blink while playing those pet simulators.

You’d kill to pet an animal right now.

All you have to do right now is pray. Pray that there is no crazed cultist around the corner, ready to sacrifice you to the gluttonous, lust crazed moron with an ego the size of the sun.

If you remember correctly [it’s hard to remember shit when you’ve been transported into a horror game, but I digress, what does an author know?], you’re close to the spot where Blake experiences his first flashback.

You walk along the little stream of rushing water, trying to think about how this happened, when a little reminder clawed through your head;

His wife got abducted by Val, just a couple of feet away from where you stand, and Blake got straddled. 

But would Val even come for you? You’re not Blake. Blake is gone. Do we even know Blake? 

Lynn isn’t here either. Val only really went for Blake and Lynn. You’re not carrying anything holy.  [Unless you’re wearing an Outlast shirt. Then yeah, he’d go for you. That shit is holy.] 

He wouldn’t go for a random ass person. Neither the New Testament or Heretics have attempted to slaughter you yet, so if you’re lucky, you’re invisible and you can find a way out of this.

Your theory of invisibility has proven to be false, however, when you feel a force push you onto your stomach.

“I found them, our God,” hot breath forces its way to the back of your neck, and frankly, it’s fucking gross. Arizona was hot enough as it is, and the random guy behind you had the audacity to breathe on you? Nasty.

“Hey!” He shouts behind him as he forcefully pushes you onto your back, with a hand pushing down on your abdomen to keep you down. Now that you see them face to face, the New Testament members look oddly intimidating. Not only that, but this one smells like old blood and failure.

You shrivel your nose in disgust, while he eagerly states that he ‘found God’ to his buddies that took their sweet ass time walking up to the two of you.

“Wait until Papa Knoth sees this!” One speaks up, obviously excited about potentially pleasing the prophet, and you can feel the tears invade your eyes.

You’re not upset about being caught, no, you’re upset about having to probably see Knoth. Oh god, why you? Why? Why?

You never thought you’d be happy to hear quiet groans and moans, but you were. The Heretics were so vocal. You were glad to hear them for once in your life.

When the noise of bare feet and boots hit the rocks beneath you, the New Testament members go silent. “Shh,” the one holding you sounds a little fearful.

He’s almost haunting when he turns his face to look at you; his pupils are as small as a freckle as he stares into your soul. He whispers, “Heretics.” 

That’s all that he’s able to say, because a Heretic rips him off of you and twists his neck until a crack blesses the air.

You can finally breathe without having to smell rotting blood. All you can really smell is mud now, but it’s better than innards and the eagerness to please.

The Heretic lets the lifeless body fall to the ground; he was more interested in ‘staring’ at you rather than help the body down to prevent noise.

...Was he staring at you? His head was staring in your direction, but with the mud coating his eye area, it’s kinda...difficult to tell.

He’s quick in grabbing your shoulders and pinning them to the ground though, so that proves you right. 

The cracking of boots hitting pebbles is satisfying but also a little unnerving; you KNOW Val is coming, there’s nothing you can do to stop him and you had to expect this, but he has followers that will kill you in a heartbeat. What if you did something he didn’t like?

Just as expected, Val appears like lightning from a storm, and shoves his fingers through the last member’s eyes as if they were butter. It was effortless.

“I watched my father,”

Here it comes.

Did you really just hear a cultist say uwu? What drugs are you on?

The eyeless corpse collapses onto the ground with a thump as if it was weightless, and the infamous blonde turns to walk over to you while staring at you with eyes as cold as ice.

“God doesn’t uwu you,” he straddles you, and in the moment you couldn’t care less, because what kind of fucking cultist says “uwu” OUT LOUD?

“not like I do.” He ends his iconic phrase and begins to lick your face as if it was ice cream.

You’re questioning how much marijuana you probably smoked once he shapes his hands into finger guns and pushes his pointer fingers together, tip against tip. His expression could be compared to that of a lost puppy.

This shit never happened in the game when you played it.

“Are you here for me?”

"...What?”

Did you say that out loud? Oh, you did. Oops.

He keeps his pointers attached. The only thing that changes about him is a smile creeping up on his face, and an expression that basically tells you he knows you don’t belong here.

“You aren’t from here. You came here for a reason, I know it.” He chuckles a little bit.

Now the air is filled with silence. Is it awkward? Yeah, but only to you.

Val and his little followers are looking at you like they expect you to say something. 

So you do to prevent your demise. 

“Uh, yeah, sure. I’m here for you.” You try to say it as convincingly as possible. Can they smell lies? If so, you’re fucked.

“Oh, swell!” He climbs off of you and motions to the Heretics, “bring them home. We have some...uwuing, to do.”

Welp. That’s certainly code for you’re gonna die.

my parents were having me study in the top floor of this apartment building in hong kong that had a fancy restaurant. i think it was set up like. there was the restauraunt and then there was this long hallway with low tables where you can sit on the floor. there were lots of pillows everywhere. my sister was there, and my mom and dad and my cousin and cousins girlfriend

i was studying for math or something and my parents were pacing behind me and my sister to make sure we were on task. they tasked my cousins to do the same thing.

eventually i was just like can you stop pacing its really annoying. and my mom was like well you know what happened when you studied for the SAT, we need to do this. and i was just like. i can handle my self i’m not stupid. and i was screaming and felt like i was throwing a tantrum and my cousin and his girlfriend heard me and it was kind of like. idk that feeling of doing something inappropriate at a family dinner.

later i was eating with what i think was my grandma and grandpa. they all took servings before me, even though i was reaching for the bowl of rice in the middle of the  table. then for some reason i put a little water in what was left of the rice? and my grandpa was like no you can’t eat it now now its inedible. and i dont know. no one offered me anything else to eat. and then the rice absorbed the water and they just ate the rest of it.

at some point haru appeared at the entrance of the restaurant. he was talking to my sister and then she gestured for me to come over because he wanted to talk to me. like gestured to where she was standing and then gestured to him. i walked over and i forget what we talked about. just he was standing on top of those chairs for ppl who are waiting to be seated sitting on.

then i left. somehow i went from hong kong to china. i went into a similar building as the one i was just in, like they’re a chain or something. i got into the elevator and there were was one button with a number on it and one that just said infinity. i pushed that one and it just takes you up to the top floor, where the restaurant is. i peeked in and was like i don’t want to be here. it was a lot smaller and darker than the hong kong one. this lady got into the elevator with me.

when i left the elevator i was back in portland, so i started to walk home.

i came across my coworker with a bunch of his friends and waved but he didn’t see me. i headed towards this escalator that was headed underground. his friend group followed me because i guess there were restaurants down there they were headed towards. i was having that dream thing where it was rlly hard to move and i was moving slowly. one of his friends complained and my coworker was like yeah sophie wyd!!! and the pushed past me because i was at the top of the escalator. it lead to kind of an underground mall. the sides of the walking section was lined with these elevated lily pad fountains.

when i left my mom called and i realized i left my backpack at the study place. i was like i still have my laptop tho so it’s ok.

and i didn’t even see any rainbow cars but i was thinking about them in the dream? because i guess they were a trend in portland. i was thinking they’re cool but you could get beat up for having them outside of portland .

as i headed home i saw these new malls filled with sanrio and snoopy stuff. suddenly sienna was there and i was like do you want to go in and she was like sure. there were lots of toys and clothes. including a jacket with snoopy embroidery and this sheer shirt with a rose design. there was this weird scene where i saw my history teacher trying to teach a bunch of rowdy sentient shop kids who kept making puns he hated.

then the staff were playing new kpop music videos on these screens on the walls. one was a collab between loona and the higher brothers and one was between this group and rapper i didn’t kno. olivia hye stuck french fries in her nose like moo girl and chug grinded on a guy which was weird but they also grinded on each other so idk
