January Topster

I listened to a lot of metal this month...like 10/14 of the new stuff I listened this month was metal. Anyways unnecessary ranking instead of giving you an actual reason to listen to them

Last place: Nailbomb-Point Blank (industrial/trash metal) It's not bad... it's just boring for me for some reason. I probably should revisit one day.

13th: bliss3three-C3L3STIAL (vaporwave) Vaporware is not really my thing, but I had this album on my must listen list for a while so I forced myself to go through with it. It's... OK. It has a good vibe but besides that I don't really think I will come back to it for a while (Carousel and Rebirth slaps tho).

12th: Hanabie-characters that I can't read but it's their second album(kawaiicore/metalcore) It's fun. Just silly songs for silly goose who love metalcore.

11th: Acasia-Acasia (dungeon/wintersynth) Now this is a really well put together dungeon synth album and atmosphere got nailed so well. I am looking forward to their next projects.

10th: Kylesa-Static Tensions (sludge/stoner metal) Once again a well put together album. However like its high high get complimented with really boring lows. The different vocals are interesting choice, though some switch arounds or different takes would have been interesting to hear.

9th: Agalloch-The Mantle (black/folk metal) I maybe be too judgmental on this because I set up a way too high expectations (I was stupid enough to expect an Ulver type approach to black/folk metal) Still it delivers very well. The acoustic parts FUCK

8th: Alice in Chains-Dirt (grunge) Before I get crucified by Alice in Chains fans for preferring the other 2 grunge bands (I know they're allergic to even their names), I still think AiC is a great band and Dirt proves that... but oh my god the vocals feel weird at the most random points at the album. I almost stopped at listening at Sickman because it is the first song in a good while that I genuinely can't listen through due to sounding this bad. I am glad I haven't stopped because the rest of the album is at least good. On the other hand, just like with the 10th place, the high highs are complimented with lows that are... questionable to say the least (Still strong 8 out of 10, hell on a good day it's a 9 for me).

7th place: Pig Destroyer-Terrifyer (grindcore) A good grindcore album is like a good doughnut. They remind me that cops are class traitors. Anyways, great album.

6th place: Cryptotopsy-None So Vile (brutal death metal) My only problem with brutal death is the vocals usually don't deliver well, but oh boy they be delivering great here. By that I mean that I can't understand a thing and it makes the vocals feel like a brand new instrument.

5th: Bolt Thrower-Warmaster (death metal) Oh my GOD... this album FUCKS SO HARD. More Bolt Thrower dickriding in 3th placement, I still have a list to write.

4th: Parannoul-To See the Next Part of the Dream (shoegaze) Short background, I have a friend who is a big time Kpop fan so I decided to check out something Korean. I am happy with my decision. Analog Sentimentalism alone would put this album on top 10 for me. The drumming on the album is next level, I love when the drums don't get thrown into the background but get embraced.

3th: Bolt Thrower-Those Once Loyal (death metal) Fun Fact: BT officially stopped making music after finishing this album, because they realised that they can't peak this album. They are right. This album has become the definition of death metal for me. Also studying World War 1 for my History exam while listening to songs from this album on repeat might have helped me... I swear that I'm not an edgy asshole.

2th: Type o Negative-Bloody Kisses (goth/doom metal) Peter Steele has a great voice, plays the bass like a king and is sexy as fuck. Even the satirical songs on this album go insanely hard, which most bands can't even make it clear that they're satirical. Black No. 1 makes me feel things that I can't just write down... I hope it's not just me getting horny for a guy with a majestic voice... I swear that I'm straight

1th: Judas Priest-Painkiller (Speed/Heavy metal) This album is the most metal thing in the entire universe. The title track could make me run a marathon after waking me up from a coma. Listening to it probably increased my testosterone levels. Also the album cover goes a 180 on being cringe to becoming cool. If you tell me that the band sat down discussing what is "metal" and they just threw out the most edgy ideas they had and somehow found a guy who could visualise it, and that's how this cover came to be. I would believe you without giving it a second thought.

That's all I found during this January. I am grateful for finally deciding to check these out. I hope at least someone read through it because I should have been studying for school :3

SAW the new cyrano movie and wow i liked it! anyway thoughts about it under the cut as it's like the 4th adaptation i've seen of cyrano lol.

so yeah in a lot of respects i do still prefer the national theater live's version in its rap translation thing. very obvious that these are two different adaptations that focused on different aspects of the source material made for different intents.

overall it was fun, i liked it! very artsy. one of roxane's songs was like kinda weird horny but it's the u know. romantic period drama sensuality and it was like at least tastefully done so eh! makes her a more understandable character than how she appears in most versions where it just feels like she wants to be in a better book club lmao

i DO think the musical adaptation of it was like, a good translation of a historical work for a modern non-french audience. but the songs, while fun and good and artsy, were kind of still at the same time sorta? idk generically...not Hollywood but idk. like songs u hear and go "yeah this is part of a musical"

[spoilers after this]

like cyrano the movie focusing on the romance plotline and the whole societal expectations/body image thing. loved the leitmotif of like, i forget the wording but "everyone wants to be loved for who they are" basically. the parallels betw christian and cyrano's deaths were rly good!

kind of mixed feelings on both of their death's honestly? but to focus on positives the parallel between christian sort of. giving up on roxane "i only want to be loved if it's for myself, and what roxane loves isn't me" and uhhh running into bullets basically. that paralleled with cyrano's "i have given up and am dying today". like it is the extreme lack of faith and emotional low that makes them easy pickings. i def had other thoughts but they are eluding me i need to marinate them a bit more maybe

but yeah on the cons side, i do think w/ the changes they made to cyrano's death scene (him getting his epic 10 seconds of mutual love and mouth on mouth), while more uh "positive" than other versions sort of undercuts the "tragedy" title of it. missed connections, too much has happened between the beginning and where we are now, cyrano's refusal to let go of his own pride and penchant for drama to fully accept its reciprocacy.

tho on that not his "and i loved...my pride" line was raw and epic it's like yes the realization all too late that you are your own worst enemy, you might've said you loved her but it was your inability to love yourself that affected your relationships with others, made it so you could never actually have any real faith in the person you love, that it was your simultaneous idolization and denegration of her image that got in the way. etc etc etc.

but yeah ANYWAY like it's bc the focus of the movie was fully on the romance and not any of the other themes that christian kind of got a worse deal than he usually does it almost feels like. like, the scenes he got were good ofc, but how he was fully cut out of the entire finale almost and basically just a prop for said 10 seconds of happiness that don't usually occur. also im still confused on that sequencing from christian's dead body to jesus i still don't get it but another thing marinating in my mind.

this is all to say ig that nothing goes as raw as national theater live having his dead body on the floor and then his actor physically between them in the entire end scene. also like idk there could've been just a little more of a focus on the "war is hell and it is the boys who never got to grow to be anything more than boys" bit

List of things cut:

OK so they cut a LOT from the original bc the original has that "art is controlled and censored by the people in power when it should be used to fight for the people" subplot, so basically everything from that is cut. which i get bc of time constrains w/ movies compared to theater productions, and like the director being the pride and prejudice director and the entire marketing of the movie being on the romance aspect of it and not that. so yeah i get the rationale! but sad tho

tbh i dont think it even explained specifically WHY cyrano said fuck that guy to montfleury in the beginning the whole convo cyrano had w his bro abt it just centered on roxane, and the "cyrano getting into a fight in the night to save his bro" scene was also subsequently refitted

cyrano's boyz night scene where he's dramatically reinacting his fight the previous night :( like instead it just has him angstily boxing in the corner which doesn't showcase his extreme chadness. also christian's introduction as just being kind of a mouthy brat lol

degich? i can never remember or spell his name but bitchy rich, they cut out his "war is bad and it's made me a better person" redemption arc but who cares so lol. moving on <3

roxane's epic girlboss moment was cut out. SAD. and subsequently the scene w/ the baker being a recurring character was ALSO cut out. quite the loss but ig they at least showcase roxane's ability to be an active character in other scenes so not a total loss

both of cyrano's moon monologues :( sad! also the timeskip being dramatically shorter and only three years. i do think switching his gradual health decline to be A-actualy consequences from the war and B-less him refusing to stop pissing people off without accepting help from others to just full inability to take care of himself. like yes really showcase his issues and also that poverty and its consequences exists outside of an aesthetic backdrop

Favorite changes things:

there was a musical/dance number in the bakery :) we only got to see the baker in that initial scene but love him

boyz night did get cut but the christian musical number kind of fucked hard so all is forgiven actually

OK depending on the variation the way cyrano dies changes, like he gets assassinated in diff ways so in one they drop bricks on him or smth and in another a carriage runs him over. (im p sure it's the 1990?) i think they referenced the carriage running him over version bc they had post-timeskip him walking and a carriage barrel pass and him collapse as it does (like. not it running him over just these two seperate events framed together) and i was like haha...i get the reference. kinda mean but i did laugh in the theater a little i was like brooooo

OH the movie starts not w in the theater but w roxane getting ready for it! so yeah epic girlboss moments. she didn't get to be angry at the very end like she was in the national theater live modern rap version but she did get a "im angry" song around the middle of the plot so u kno. girls who get to be angry

i do admit i cried at the scene where the ensemble cast of soldier's got to sing about their loved ones and accepting that they're being sent off to die. anyway

anyway yeah! i liked it it was good but i DO think if they were gonna strip it down to its bare romance they should've had cyrano and chris kiss also tho like it's simply only fair

Chapter 5

Henry had helped you at every step; from opening the car door for you to helping you up the stairs and into your flat. When you’d told him that the doctors had instructed you not to be alone overnight, he smiled at you kindly and said he wouldn’t have dreamed of leaving you alone after a hospital visit. He’d grabbed his gym bag out of the back seat of his car and had somehow managed to juggle that, your bag, having one arm around your waist up the stairs, and opened the door all with ease.

He’d run you a bath and with surprisingly delicate dexterity had carefully stripped you before helping you into the scented waters, no sexual touches, instead it had been about making sure you were ok.

oscar’s arrival was as unwanted to his parents as could be : a father whose tendencies leaned towards alcoholism & abusing whoever was in arms reach , a mother whose life was more or less spent at the nursing home she worked as a nurse at , evading home . he became a self - inflicted loner , preferring to do literally the exact opposite of what was expected or wanted from him . he had a few friends he ran with , but watching them all go off & study or prepare for university solidified in oscar’s mind that the non - traditional route was for him . growing up by the water , oscar always felt more drawn to skip school & head to the beach than he did obeying his parents wishes .

one of his solaces was his grandfather , gabriel , who owned an italian restaurant in a beach town north of sydney . whenever the weather was bad & oscar felt like ditching class , he’d head over to his nono’s restaurant where his ass would be put to work as soon as he set eyes on the restaurant . it was tough work , but challenging in a way that fanned the flames in oscar’s heart , rather than dimming them . by the time he was a teenager he was working in the restaurant everyday after school , an agreement between him & his grandfather framed on the back wall that stated that as long as oscar kept from flunking out , he was allowed to spend as little or as much time in the kitchen as he pleased .

his absolute defiance of anything traditional & following the rules made him unpopular with adults , but lowkey cool with the girls . by the time he was sixteen , he was losing his focus on the restaurant & his grades & spending more & more time chasing after girls . his nono tried to get oscar to come back & focus , but as always , anything he’s asked to do quickly becomes the thing he’s running from the most .

tw : death , cancer . around his eighteenth birthday , his grandfather suddenly fell ill with a rare form of cancer that took his life six weeks after diagnosis , which rocked oscar’s world . he felt overwhelming guilt that he hadn’t spent more time with his grandfather , which manifested itself as oscar dropping out of school a year shy of graduation to commit himself fully to perfecting his grandfather’s techniques , learning all of his recipes ( read : pouring over dozens of handwritten cookbooks ) in some failed attempt to get back some time with him . oscar hadn’t been close with his parents in years , more or less seeing them as wardens of a prison he wanted nothing to do with . his grandfather’s will left him the deed to the restaurant , with an ask that oscar would promise to act on whatever he felt called towards , rather than doing what others expected of him . to be candid , this whole situation crushed him .

eventually , he decided he’d had enough of the stifling community he’d grown up in . he sold the restaurant to one of the regulars , a wealthy man who he’d come to acknowledge as somewhat of an uncle ; a safe pair of hands who would treat his grandfather’s legacy with as much passion & respect as oscar himself would . so he packed a bag , texted his mom that he was going traveling , & got on a flight that evening . he traveled all around - first through central america , then through europe , throughout asia & africa , & spent a few months driving a van across the continental united states & canada for fun .

eventually , he started getting low - ish on money , & decided to settle in one of his favourite places he’d visited : southern france . he arrived in early 2018 , taking on whatever menial tasks he could while learning french until he got a position as a line cook in an italian restaurant . a few years later , he’s made his way up to filling the head chef position , an honour he takes with pride . he’s implemented many of his own recipes while using flavours he’s learned from his travels , with ingredients straight from local farmers . he’s earned the restaurant a two michelin star rating , & is constantly striving for more to get that last star ( both for his own ego as well as a secret debt to his grandfather ) .

ok but that vid where gordon puts two pieces of bread on someone’s head & calls them an idiot sandwich ? that’s oscar . intense as fuck in the kitchen , & best nobody catch an attitude about it bc he will not hesitate to hand them their ass on a silver platter .

another gordon reference : you know how he’s the spawn of satan with adults , but the sweetest , most helpul guy with children ? that’s oscar with his staff vs people he wants something from . whether its to sleep with them ( usually his first instinct to be fair ) , their money or clout , or to get into some wild adventure some random resort staff wouldn’t dream of getting into , he can turn on the charm whenever needed .

can go from absolutely demoralizing someone in the kitchen to stepping out into the lounge to schmooze with his friends or cougars who leave phat tips in 0.2 seconds . the speed at which his mood can completely 180 is one of the seven world wonders ( last i checked ) .

his love language is absolutely acts of service . catch him actually falling in love once in a blue moon & making it his mission to cook her extravagant meals everyday .

the wolf in sheep’s clothing label epitomizes his nice , helpful , charismatic exterior , while ulterior motives & disdain for those who grew up with more money than he did lurk beneath the surface .

he can be MEAN when someone fucks him over or pushes him farther than he wants - isn’t afraid to go for the low blows or send someone home with an identity crisis if it protects himself .

lowkey alcoholic but he’s not ready for that conversation yet . he sees it more as perks of the location & atmosphere he’s found himself in .

also lowkey falls in love HARD , like this man is a closeted romantic but self - sabotages all potential relationships before they can get to that point out of fear he’ll be unable to live life of his own volition ( takes a flaky philophobic sagittarius to know a flaky philophobic sagittarius 🤡 ) . has probably only had a few real relationships besides flings bc he’s afraid .

so i like music right?

like everyone likes music totally lol

but i was getting annoyed that 1) my phone doesnt have space since im constantly in gacha hell and 2) playing music kills the phone battery esp when im out like walking or traveling and stuff

and, obviously im not doing this stuff now since im back home and covid is a thing and all, but when i did travel, it was usually alone. plus since my college was in the city + my internship was in the city, so i was traveling alone by bus (bc no drivers license and/or car) + i think a guy attempted to mug me once and also i think i was like followed or something once or twice during the frickin afternoon in broad daylight in the city while traveling for my internship and stuff???????????

like. a phone with a low battery or a dead phone is uhhhhhh. not good.

anyways i decided to suck it up and spend $40 on this 3rd party chinese mp3 the mibao which got listed consistently on a bunch of “top mp3 players for 2020/2021″ kind of lists for like. amateur audiophiles. lol.

honestly i was like seconds away from buying this other one but i didnt last second because it doesnt show lyrics which is gross bc i love reading lyrics (its also the hoh stuff lol)

anyways ive fallen down the rabbit hole of amateur audiophiles/regressing back to having an mp3 player (altho ive actually always had one since like the 2nd grade but i cant find it?? (i swear its in my room somewhere (ipod nano 4th gen plz return to my hand even tho youre like 10+ years old and also your battery lasts for like 5 minutes before dying bc ive loved/used you too much lol))) / converting m4a to mp3 / syncing lyrics bc m4a doesnt play well with 3rd party mp3 players and the lyrics were never synced anyways lololol.

so im using minilyrics and like i decided to make an account for their connected site https://www.viewlyrics.com/ so i could upload lyrics/.txt/.LRC files and timestamps for funsies (and to be polite or whatever. internet manners sharing and all) but when i go on there its totally blank? lol, idk why tho. esp since when i played popular songs that people have already made and uploaded lyrics for, they showed up??? like is the site itself dead or blank but the actual site’s data on some server out there that automatically shares/is active??? or something????

man. one of the songs i tested out to see if lyrics were already made were the sore feet song, which someone already made bc it was the opening song of mushishi. like. ok, that anime’s from, what? 2002? 2005? sure it sounds like the website could’ve been active back then, sure.

but then the second song i tested was the tokyo ghoul theme song kisetsu wa tsugitsugi shindeiku and like. someone actually uploaded lyrics?? they automatically came to me??? that anime came out like idk 2015-2016 or something right? was the site up back then? or is the site just blank and badly working for me??????????

Avengers finding out things about Spider-Man.

CHAPTER 1

Peter went home and just go to sleep after cleaning up and eating something. He doesn't want to worry about anything right now he's really tired. He knows that now probably all eyes are going to be on Spider-Man. He just needs to lay low for a while and people and media will forget about it soon. As for shield he doesn't want to think right now so he went to sleep.

But before he got too deep into sleep his eyes went wide open as he got an idea to take care of shield issue once and for all. He finally relexed and went to sleep happily.

The day after ferry incident at Avengers

The Avengers were in the common room area watching news while having breakfast for last day at the tower since tonight the things were gonna moved to the compound. And they were leaving tomorrow morning.

The news was about Spider-Man and the ferry incident that happened yesterday. Suddenly some news reporter said that they got exclusive footage of the ferry incident. Now everyone was curious about it and wanted to see what actually happened there.

Then the footage played. It was shot from the port. They sees as the some guy with metal wings was fighting with Spider-Man. He was trying to escape from his web. It wasn't so clear as it was in distance. Suddenly an energy blast happened and the ferry was split in half.

Everyone was shocked as to what was that blast. Now even Tony was more interested.

The ferry was sinking but it suddenly stopped. Spider-Man had connected both sides strong points with his web.

Bruce said, " How strong are his web to hold that much of weight together?"

Suddenly webs broke and ferry again started sinking.

Everyone gasps.

But then again it stopped. Spider-Man was holding it together.

"Jesus Christ! How strong is this guy?", Tony said.

But it didn't look like Spider-Man could hold on for a long time but suddenly some bots were seen flying towards the ferry. Some bots were on the left side, some were on the right side of the ferry. They started pushing ferry togather. But some bots were still in the air. As the ferry got together, the bots in the air started mending it together. The clip ended.

Everyone was shocked as to what just happened. Tony asked Friday to get the clip and play it at the bots part. Tony started analysing it. His thoughts were confirmed that the bots were using arc reactor technology. Tony was in speechless for a while.

"Who is this spider guy? How does he have my arc reactor technology and all this bots and stuff. Does he even have AI in his suit? It looks like it which will explain how he called the neno bots there." said Tony.

"May be he had figured out your reactor. Crom the look of it he looks like a genius if he is one who made all those neno bots and AI." Bruce replied.

Tony tells him, "If he had figured it out then how does he not showed it the world. He could have sold it and got so much money. He would have made fortune."

"May be he does not want attention on him and wants to keep it to himself. As for why he didn't sell it, it can be that he knows how much danger it can be if it's in wrong hand. The guy can be genuinely good. After all if he had bad intentions, he would have shown it till now. He is out there for years. Even before NY battle. I saw some of his videos where he is helping people from aftermath of the battle on YouTube." said Pepper.

Nat and Clint were silent.

Steve spoke up, " Not only that his strength stronger than me or Bucky combined. Why is this guy out there on street and not in Avengers team?"

"Shield is trying to get in contact with him from even before Avengers formed. He has been out there for almost 7 years. We don't know anything about him at all. Not who is or what his powers are or if they are biological or not. Everytime anyone goes after him he somehow knows someone is following as lose them. He was on Fury's list to get on the Avengers. He was on the top spots. But he never got to interact with him. Sheild is still trying to find out about him. The guy is good at cover his trials." Nat explained.

Everyone was blown away by that.

" I don't think so after this all Fury will get him away after this. He can be a big threat if he has this much power in his hand and ever gets on the other side." Clint adds.

" We need to find out who he is. If he is smart enough to figure out my arc reactor and make those techs, I need to have him work for my company and on our team." said Tony as he stood up.

" Wanna help Brucie? And all of you?"

Everyone nods. They all wants to find out who he was. They were bunch of curious heads.

They tried all afternoon but got nothing and Tony was annoyed.

They decided to take break. Nat, Pepper and Wanda were watching some video on YouTube with others when he and Bruce entered the common room. Looks like the video just started.

Pepper called them to watch it with them and played from the start.

There was a guy with mask who was playing a tune on guitar and started singing. The song was about Avengers. His voice was so pleasant to hear. There was so much details in lyrics. It continued for 2 minutes. After that video got cut. And the guy appeared again and said 'hey guys it's me again your cinnamon. Oh it's embarrassing to say this name now that I'm much older. I can't believe it's been so many years since we started this channel. I was like 6 when my aunt made my first video. Well it was my new song about the Avengers. Hope you guys liked it. Now let's go to today's video. I'm going to paint a portrait of all of the Avangers' whole team, everyone, new and old members in 15 minutes today while answering some of you guy's questions.' video cuts again.

Wanda paused the video. 'The song is so good. The lyrics are really detailed.' she said as others agreed. She played video again.

The guy appeared again but this time in a different place with canvas colours and all things to paint with. He starts working on canvas fluently and fast but neatly like he's been doing this for years like a professional artist. There was a woman with same mask as him sitting on chair beside him. He turned to her and said 'As you all know she is my Aunt and she will be reading the questions. You can start.'

The woman smiles to camera and started cheerfully, 'Hey everyone once again! Let's get started with questions. So the 1st one from @user01 how much is your IQ? Your experiments are damn awesome and thing you make is just wow.'

The boy smiles to the camera but go back to painting as he replies, 'I don't know I have never took an IQ test. I don't want to scare people away ' he gave a quick wink at the camera then goes back to painting. He is already done with base and outlines.

The lady starts to laugh and asks other question. ' this one is from @user02, are you still studying? ' the lady gave camera a weird look which said seriously?

The laugh can be heard from behind the camera. But the guy ssh them down. And replied 'Well you can say I am since I'm working to get my 4th PhD. Next question.'

' @user46 asks who is your favourite avanger? Look like this is a new to you videos. '

Everyone was paying attention now. Eager to know who was it.

The guy continues to paint as he smile and said, ' welcome to see our madness. My favourite avanger is Iron Man. He has been my favourite even before the Avengers were formed since he started. Tony stark has been my idol and crush from when I was 12. You can imagine how I must have felt when I found out he was Iron Man. If you wanna know there is a reaction video on my channel from 6 years ago.'

The lady asks next question ' @user8502 here wants to ask why can't I hack into you account to find out who you are? ' The lady and the camera guy and the guy himself starts laughing but his hands not stopping.He was half done and it was already looking great.

When they calm down, the guy starts speaking ' you atually tried. Well it's good I made my account unhackable all those years ago cause I didn't want anyone to know who I'm and I still don't. Atleast for now. '

They continued with next question, '@user18qq how old are you?'

'I'm 19 and going to turn 20 in 5 or so months.'

'@userttl do you sell your art works?'

'No I'm sorry but I don't sell my work. I have a entire room filled with my all work since my childhood to now in my house.' He smiles fondly.

'@user77kl what's your sexuality? Are you in relationship? '

This time the aunt continues to speak up, 'not that I know of. Are you cinnamon? '

The guy blush and shakes his head ' No I'm not in any relationship and I'm Bi. Come one aunt let get to next question I'm almost done' he blushes harder.

The aunt coos but ask the next question ' so @user63 wants to know what is your plan for future? '

' I haven't thought yet. I will probably applying for jobs in some famous companies. I'll stark industry too. Who knows if I get the job there and meet my crush. ' the guy smiles. He is almost finished he is just adding details everywhere. The portrait look awesome and he is still adding so much details. It's on professional level good and it not even done in even 15 minutes its only been 12 minute 47 seconds.

'ok looks like you're almost done so last question from @user3945 do you write your songs lyrics? They are so deep and detailed. I've heard all of your songs. You have some ones for individual songs too for Avengers. ' the aunt read.

'Thank you so much for listening to my songs. Yes, I myself write lyrics and compose all my songs.' he replied.

The guy adds some last details and finishing touches. ' So that was the last question for today and my painting is done.' he look behind camera ' how much time it took? '

The camera guy replied, 'it's been 13 minutes 53 seconds'

' well looks like it took less then 15 minutes. Tada!!! ' he motions to portrait painting.

It was outstanding. It didn't look nothing like it was done in less then 15 min. The video cuts. Then it back again the boy and his aunt is standing togather smiling at camera.

The guy spoke, ' Thank you everyone who watched my video. Please like, share and comment. And if you are new and liked my video you can subscribe my channel. And as always guys if you wanna know how the portrait looks after drying, I'll be posting a pic of it at my Instagram. Check that out. Bye guys see you in next video. Till then take care.'

Everyone stare at screen as the video finishes.

Rhodey speaks up, " It's a second genius we found in one day. Jesus 4th PhD at 19. Seriously? "

Wanda butts in " The video is 8 months old"

Scott joined in, "Is it only me who is all of a sudden feeling dumb? "

Pietro replied, " you were always dumb."

" If he gets in applies for job at SI we'll find out who he is, unlike some spider." Tony said.

" The guys is telented. Did you see his painting? It was awesome and so detailed and he made it in less than 15 minutes. I was on a professional level good may be better. I can't imagine if the guy did take his time to make something, it will definitely be a master piece. " Steve said.

" No one's gonna talk about the boy's crush on Stark?" Strange said.

Everyone looked at him startled.

"When did you come?"

" I'm here since the song part. You guys didn't noticed. " He replied smugly.

"Tony has been his idol and crush for eight years now. Woah! Even before you become Iron Man." said Clint.

" That mortal did look like there'll be a cute face beneath that mask, what do you think son of stark? " Thor asks.

" Yeah he was cute and had nice voice and all but I'm not gonna date any fanboy if you guys are implementing on that. " Tony sternly replied.

They were talking about the boy when FRIDAY spoke up. " Boss you are having a call from Happy."

"Connect the call Baby girl."

" Hey Happy"

" Boss the plane has took off. Everything is in order."

" Okk Hap. Thanks. "

The call disconnected.

" Looks like we're moving tomorrow as planned."

Not even half hour later Happy's call came again.

"Hey Hap. Everything fine?

" Boss! The plane has crashed at the Coney Island Beach."

Everyone's face turned to horror. They all stood up and went to suit up.

"What the hell Happy. I thought you said everything was in order."

" I'm sorry boss but everything was. The police is already at the scene. They said there was some guy webbed up there with a note from Spider-Man that he was trying to steal the stuff from plane. Some guy called 'flying valture guy'. I'm already on my way to the scene. "

" We'll be there soon too. "

The line cuts off.

Avengers reached at the scene. It looked like disaster. Happy came to them.

"Boss everything is safe. Spider-Man had removed the carrier boxes from the fire before it could damage and the guy who wanted to steal it was webbed up to it. Sheild agents took him to the jail. He is the same guy from the ferry incident yesterday. He was selling some illegal weapons which were mixed with alien tech, they were after him for a long time."

Avengers let out the sighs.

" It's good nothing's stolen or damaged. Get the stuff to the compound. This time we all will be going with it." Tony said as he motion to the others.

Next day at the compound in the meeting room

Nick Fury and the Avengers were having the meeting.

" You all know about yesterday's incident was handled by Spider-Man. The plane which was crashed at the beach was not supposed to crash there. I want you guys to look at this video clip which our satellite captured." Fury said as he played the clip.

Spider Man and the Vulture was fight on the top of the plane. Valture broke on of the wings and plane started to crash towards the city and the buildings.

Spider Man webbed the othe wing and changed the direction of the crash. The clip ended.

"You must have got enough idea how strong this guy is from this and the ferry incident. He is got so much power and advanced technology in his hand. If he is to ever turn on the other side. He can be a great threat. But he isn't showing any signs of that happening since it's been years since he is doing this superhero stuff and looking out for little guy. He had defeated many supervillain like green goblin, lizard, doc oct, electro, sandman etc. I think he will be a great asset to the team. I want you guys to find out who he is and convince him to join the team. Shield has been trying for years but he always got was without any traces. I'm giving you this mission. Hope guys can do it. "

Before anyone could speak up there was a cough heard which was non of there's. As the looks around the didn't saw anyone. They got into a fighting position.

First of all I am really sorry for the delay post, I don't know still they need it or not but for my satisfaction I will still apologize for the delay in getting back to you.

Well I was pretty busy and captivated with the new album of my idols and I request and wish that you all will join and making the hit the new album as soon as possible.

And I hope people will listen to it first because it's really worth it. It's not just saying because I like them but because it's totally worth it.

It's an English album. DYNAMITE. BY BTS.

So moving to the next topic today's article is about 15 favorites thing. Everyone, it's going to be a long article, please be patient and I hope you will read until the end.

Well people maybe already know what I like but still its needed to be completed so I will do it. I hope you are not sleeping yet, thanks.

The 15th thing I like the most.

1. First of all, beside anyone else, my savior, my happiness, my joy and laughter, my reason to live, and my goal to pursue and my everything, I like them, I love them, I adore them, I admire them, I idolize them, basically they are my everything. So please help me to the stream in their all the channels. It's a humble request from a little writer.

2. Second thing I love the most is food. I can't live without good food especially foods like foreign foods, salads, Ramen, vegan friendly dishes, etc, well people might be thinking why am I not loving Indian food, here is the reason, because I love spiciness but my stomach can't handle it so I just prefer spicy vegan with less gravy things or what we call 'masala' in hindi.

3. Third thing in my list is novel. I love novel. As long as it pick up my interest, I will read it, I can also forget about but not my idol, well but I love novels too much, I also told everyone around me to gift me a novel no matter what the occasion is, I will be grateful to you all my life, unless it's the same novel of boring type, I will not despise it at all.

4. The 4th thing that I like in my list is I like bags. It can be of any type, like sling bag, school bag, college bag, purse, side bag, suitcase, makeup bag, clothing bag, any type of it, I like collecting it, I don't know why but I love to collect the bags.

5. The fifth thing in my collection of likes is sandal, okay common I am not a nerd, I like to be fashionable, not ultra highly, I can't wear that, I most prefer silhouette, low heels, shoes, and many much more, I don't even remember now....... Hehe...... Sorry....

6. So the 6rh item in my collection that I like the most is journals, I like writing journals the most, although it's not perfect but only I have to read it so it's manageable I like my writing but the feeling that I tried to express, did not compelled in just one page, so it's a long journal.

7. So everyone, the 7th thing in my like list is tour, I love tour around, even if my leg are soaring with the utmost pain, I want to enjoy the beauty if world, but I prefer to it either alone or with just one partner, such as best friends.

8. Now the 8th thing that is my bucket list of likes are, DIY, I think People know about, I don't know when I may become the Maniac making all the diy stuff with all the things I get but it's really fun thing to do.

9. So here is 9th thing for my like list, i., e. , I lie doing business, I am very interested in doing businesses but only legal and only in right way because I had authorities in home, and my weakness is that I can't lie in front of them. So I never cheated my parents. I feel uncomfortable.

10. The 10th thing I like now is singing, I can sing but I like to listen music, It may help you learn new language, I calms your nerves down, it also helps to sleep and without this the party, the drive and everything is incomplete including concerts.

11. I like to dance to but I forget the steps easily so I prefer to dance alone, it will not give me any burden, but it feels burdened till, because I had make myself my times and people still remember it, believe me guys, it's really embarrassing till today, so prefer to dance alone.

12. I like to create unique. Not like totally unique but slightly different from the main thing that I am making, I don't know its in genus or what my father also loves to do the experiments. I guess I get it from but the results are also good, I don't know from outside perspective but in my family perspective, it's to their satisfaction.

13. Well I like to study but only arts and business that is very theoretical and contains facts because I am terrible in maths and science.

14. Ok it's last second in my list is I love trading, and doing investment, basically I am okay in it, my guesses in it are very highly possibly right and it profit a lot to my friends, but am not advertising about myself and I am not a helpful mother Teresa.

15. The last thing I like is attending social networking or gathering, it makes me feel tired, I hate being tired so, it's how it is.

So this are the things are I like the most in this whole world, there are other thing too but I tried to make it short and we'll whatever you can call I am too lazy to think about it alot so,

If you think people don't want to know you or like you feel inferior or something or like you may feel that you are the weirder one, or a ultimate failure, don't think that much, because it's not good for you health I may reduce e you lifeline for half, It also make your face grow old quickly so be careful, you cannot afford a single bad thought. Be careful.

If you think you have no friend who can share your thoughts with, write it down, comment, tell everything you want to tell.

But I request don't be a vulgar, or dummy or something like that, please don't do that, I am not that type of girl, I do hold some authorities. My name did not mean it like that, I hate some type of man, that you know what type,. So here, it is I conclude my article.

Love yourself, speak yourself, don't be afraid because you never walk alone, I will be with you win no matter what.

Well it does mean for doing illegal and asking me to help, always do work cleanly.

Fast cars & Freedom: Sit next to me (8/?) Part 1

Pairing: Logan x Ellie, Colt x Ellie

Summary: Logan and Ellie talk, the test is taken, and someone spills the beans.... literally.

Ellie sat in her office, it was Wednesday and she still hadn't heard from Logan. “knock knock.” a voice came at her door. “Oh hi Mr mann- Eli.” she looked up to see her boss standing in the doorway. “Have you had any luck getting those statements from Mr Rider?” he walked in sitting in front of her desk.

The statements shit! She internally scolded herself. She had been so caught up in her personal life drama she let her work slip, that ended today. “I am meeting with Logan to get them.” A smile spread across Elias's face “Excellent. Keep up the good work.”

She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in. This standoff with Logan ended now. She picked up her phone and rattled off a text.

“I know you are pissed at me, but this is not a personal call. Unless you want to find a new Accountant, we need to meet TODAY.”

A few minutes later her phone vibrated, a response from Logan. “ 1pm. i'll send the address.” a few seconds later another text with an address came through. She looked at the clock. She had about half an hour until the meeting and with traffic and the distance she needed to go now. She switched on her out of office messages and took off to the location Logan sent her.

She pulled up to a large gated house. The gate opened and she drove around front parking. Before she could knock on the door Logan opened it up motioning for her to come in.

“Wow, is this your house?” she marveled at the open floor plan. There wasn't much to it in all honesty. Some furniture, a large TV. A stocked bar area and some framed car art.

“It's better than a box.” he chuckled. They sat on the couch, Ellie getting right down to the professional side of the business she had to attend. Logan having everything she needed ready.

They sat in an awkward silence before Ellie broke it. “Logan, im sorry. I know you're mad at me.”

“I'm not mad at you Ellie. Well, not anymore. I'm upset. I knew you had feelings for him, I knew it when I caught you two together.”

Ellies mind took her back to the night she knew she was in way to deep.

“Were gonna get caught Colt.” Ellie giggled as he pressed his body against hers on the couch. “Nobody is here, everyone went out on a job. and pop is at a meeting. They'll be gone for hours.” his hand slide up to unbutton her jeans. He lifted himself up pulling the jeans down with him, leaving her in just her bra and panties. His lips came down hard on hers as she completely lost herself in the kiss. Her hands frantically pawing at his fully clothed body. “Less. Of. This.” she pulled on his shirt and breathed out between heated kisses. The sides of his lips tugged up into a sinister smirk, she wanted him as bad as he wanted her.

He pulled his shit over his head, tossing it across the room. She stopped for a minute, running her hands down his hard chest, before he stood pulling every last piece of clothing from his body. Ellie propped herself up on her elbow, her eyes widening at the sight of him, suddenly very aware of what she committed herself to. “See something you like?” she bit her lip nodding. In an instant he was on her again. Peppering playful kisses on her neck, down the valley of her breast. His hand reached around, effortlessly unfastening her bra, tossing it aside. His lips found her pink buds, as he flicked his tongue, capturing one in his mouth, before moving onto the next. He placed feather light kisses down her stomach, settling on her hips. Her heartbeat racing in anticipation as his strong hands grasped her thighs spreading them apart. He lowered his head kissing and sucking the inside of her thighs, “I want to taste you Ellie.” the vibration of his voice sending a pleasant jolt to her core. “Yes.” A low growl escaped him as he settled between her legs.

He flattened his tongue swiping it between her slick folds. He let let out an appreciative moan as his tongue swirled around the bundle of nerves. She sucked in a sharp breath as her head flew back against the cushion. he looked up between his lashes watching her chest rise and fall, faster and faster as her moans became louder and louder. He slipped a two fingers into her wanting center, slowly pumping them in and out. Her back arching at the welcomed intrusion. Her legs began to shake, he knew she was close, he curled his fingers slightly reaching the perfect spot as she came undone, a slew of curses falling from her lips.

Satisfied he pulled back and grinned at her as he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. He sat up. Ellie watching him, though lust blown eyes. She climbed onto his lap, her lips crashing against his in a heated kiss. “I want you colt.” she moaned against his lips. “Mmmm, lay down Ellie.” she shook her head. “No. I want to be the driver.” she grinded her hips against him. He gripped his stiff length, slowly pumping it as she slowly lowered herself down, gasping out at how he filled her.

She allowed herself to adjust a moment before rocking against him. He threw his head back at the sensation, a deep moan escaping him. He lifted his head, his lust blown eyes boring into her. “You're my driver forever, remember that. Now drive baby.” He gripped her hips guiding her down onto him faster and faster. She bounced hard against him as she moaned out. “Fuck, yes. colt.”

The sound of his name falling from her lips drove him wild, he bucked frantically against her. his hand slipping down rubbing tight circles against her aching clit. That was all it took for her to come completely undone. She leaned against his chest, nails digging into his strong shoulders as she screamed his name, forcing his own release.

She laid against his chest for a moment, he tracked lazy circles against her bare skin. “We should probably get dressed.” she sighed standing up. “A sin if i ever heard one, but you're probably right.” they retrieved their clothes, dressing quickly. Colt pulled her against him “You're incredible Ellie.” She his face down, capturing his lips in a sensual kiss. “Let's go get some food. I'm starving.” Colt grabbed his jacket “Only if I get to drive.” She winked, standing on her tiptoes to kiss him again.

“What the fuck is this?” They heard, pulling apart quickly. Both turning to see Logan standing there. “Do you have a problem pretty boy?” Colt taunted.

“Yeah. I do. You're fucking making out with my girl.” Logan snapped, shoving Colt.

Colt coming back bumping his chest. “Last I checked she wasn't anyone's girl.”

“Colt! Logan! Stop this.” Her pleas going unanswered. Colts smug grin setting Logan off as his fist connected with his jaw. Colt lunged forward tackling logan to the ground as the two rolled around exchanging blows.

“Stop it. Stop it guys. Help.” Ellie screamed, finally toby and ximena came running in, followed by Kaneko. “Stop it at once.” He commanded, his booming voice causing both to freeze instantly. Ellie took off running both scrambling to run after her. She climbed up the ladder onto the roof. How did things get so complicated.

“Ellie? Ellie?” Logan called out, pulling her back to the present. “Sorry, I was just thinking about something.” she told him about the night of prom, how they were freaked out about the plan and if things went south. How they travelled to vegas on a whim and getting caught up in all the what ifs, they married. She had thought Colt had filed for an annulment after they had a blow up and he left. Only to find out he never did. Logan sat there in silence, absorbing all of the information.

“Well, I kinda get why you didn't say anything, but. I wish I didn't hear it from Colt.” he sighed.

“I know, im sorry Logan. But as a peace offering, my dad and I are throwing a 4th of July bbq. If you don't have plans we would love for you to come.” Logan smiled as they stood up walking towards the door. “I think I can manage that.” he pulled her in for a hug, she rested her head against his chest, breathing in his scent. “Are we good?” he pulled gently stroked her hair, “were good.”

That Friday the three of them, with Luca walked into the lab. Ellie check in, grabbing clipboards for all to fill out their information. Luca sat in the chair, the smell of the sterile environment making her nervous. “You ok Luca?” Logan lowered his head “I don't like Doctors offices, they give needles.” Her voice a whisper. “Its ok, you're not going to get a needle.” he gently squeezed her little hand. “You promise?” “I promise. If you want, I will hold your hand if you get scared, ok?” Luca nodded her head, squeezing logans hand.

They waited a few minutes before being ushered into the back. Colt went first, followed by Luca. She hesitated getting in the seat. “Uncle Logie, fan you hold my hand?” Logan smiled at her taking her tiny hand in his large one. She paused a moment turning to Colt. “Colt, can you hold me please?” Ellie swore she felt her heart explode in that moment, as colt sat down in the seat, his arms wrapped around her, Luca leaned back against him while Logan held onto her hand.

The tech informed them the results could take up to 6 weeks as the lab was backed up.

The four of them grabbed dinner and went school shopping with Luca. Colt and Logan refusing to let Ellie pay for a thing.

Ellie spent the next week preparing for the 4th of July cookout. Everyone was coming, she was excited for Luca to meet the old crew. Riya and Darius showed up first. Darius setting up the pack n play in the backyard for Marcus. Frank had been on the grill all morning while Ellie worked on the food inside. The doorbell rang and Frank came barreling through the house. “I got it. I got it.”

He answered the door and a petite brunette stood there. Frank encouraged the woman inside, walking up to Ellie. Ellie looked at the woman, something about her looked awful familiar. “Ellie, I want you to meet my girlfriend Sally. Sally this is my daughter Ellie.”

“Elliez it is so good to finally meet you. You're dad talks about you so much.” Ellie giggled “I hope not to much. It's really nice to meet you Sally.” she continued to stare at the woman, swearing she knew her from somewhere. “Sally, I don't mean to stare but, Have we met before? I swear you look so familiar.”

“I don't think so hun, not unless you've been to lucky's diner in San Francisco.” Ellie shook her head “Nope, can't say I have. But anyway, come on out. Dads finishing up on the grill, the rest of the guest will be here soon.”

The doorbell rang and in walked Ximena, Toby and Colt. “Colt!” Luca came running into his arms, colt picking her up giving her a hug “Hey squirt.” he sat her down “Grampy got me a pool, come see it.” She grabbed his hand leading him through the house. “Hey Toby, Hey X.” she noticed toby shifting on both feet. “Go ahead, you can see the pool too.” “thanks ellie.” Ximena shook her head handing her a tray of pretzel salad. “You know he has done nothing but talk about Luca non stop.”

“He has text me and called daily as well.” Ellie watched Luca splash colt, a smile playing on her lips. “How's logan been with it?”

“The same as Colt. She's quite taken with the both of them.” Ximena gave her an understanding squeeze. Logan, Mona and Stacie were the last to arrive. Ellie looked at the two “Did you guys come together?” Logan shook his head. “No, I pulled up and Mona did too, Stacie was walking to the door.”

Logan and colt stayed inside helping frank gather all the food. Ellie sat With Riya on one of the picnic tables. She leaned in close, dropping her voice so only she could hear. “Hey, do you think Darnell could lend me his services, cheap?” Riya looked at her confused “ohh you mean for the custody stuff. I was wondering what you needed a lawyer for.”

“No, I need to file for divorce.” Riya chuckled thinking she was joking, the serious look on her face told her otherwise. “You're serious? When did you get married? Who did you marry?”

Ellie shushed her “Keep it down. 6 years ago. Colt and i got married in Vegas.” Riyas eyes went wide.

“You Married COLT in vegas?” She shouted, silencing the entire party. “What?” Her dad stood on the deck dropping an entire tin pan of coleslaw. Logan and Colt stood frozen behind him.

Sally came running up “Frank are you ok?” Logans eyes widened, he dropped the tin pan of baked beans onto the deck as well

“Mom?”

Why I play locally only.

At one point I was ranked 408th in the world in pinball. I drove all around the country within a 6 hour radius spending thousands of dollars and playing in as many tournaments as I could, trying to raise my ranking. In the past doing so was almost a necessity as tournament locations were allowed to hold only one point earning event a year. I would consider myself a ‘B’ level player. (Pinball players can sometimes be ranked A-E).

I stopped playing in 2016 when the ranking system began ranking players based on population more than skill. Although it is true there are elite pinball players that competing against is similar to facing NBA legends in basketball, the change in the ranking system included a MASSIVE emphasis on the number of people playing in a tournament. This led me and at least an entire city of people within my state to completely stop playing, as to many, the ranking system became false and fraudulent passed about the 300th position.

Just as an example of what the 2016 changes meant...A ‘B’ player in a small town could compete in a tournament against 13 other ‘B’ players, finish 2nd in the tournament, and receive a reward for defeating the 12 other ‘B’ players of .6 points. At the same time however, there could be someone who had never played pinball once in their entire life who happened to be on a first date in another location who decided to try and play some pinball to try to break the ice with their date. In doing so they decided to play a pinball machine for the first time in their life. In doing this they noticed a sheet of paper attached to the machine they played advertising a, “Selfie league.” They played some games, took a, “Selfie,” and then jokingly entered their name and picture as a selfie tournament qualifier.

Well, it just so happened that this place located in a large city happened to have quite a few people who had never played pinball before and many of them decided to enter their names into the selfie qualifier as well. Most of them did so without realizing there was a thing called a, “Finals night,” let alone having any intention of participating in the finals night. 120 people in this location all qualified for the selfie tournament, with only about 13 of them being real tournament players. But because of the new ranking system, that person on the first date who cared nothing about the tournament who happened to finish 21st received 2.4 points. So according to the new ranking system, that person on the first date that defeated a multitude of low E level players and jokingly entered into a tournament they cared nothing about is 4 times more skilled than the second place finisher that battled against 13 B level players and defeated 12 of them. In other words, ranking points became based on population and not skill.

So OK, they fixed the rankings a little bit and now players have to have played in so many tournaments to count towards the point total.

So why am I writing this?

The reason I am writing this now is because in January of this year I decided to play pinball again in events held within my hometown only. Many people from all over the country have asked me about going to play in tournaments outside of my hometown. But when I decided to return again at the beginning of the year I made the decision not to leave town, not to play for points, not to try and raise my ranking, and not to, like so many people do, ultimately wonder about why I was paying thousands of dollars a year driving around the country trying to keep up with a fraudulent ranking system that rewards population over skill.

Do I have a “better” idea for a ranking system? No I don’t. And no I don’t have to. I don’t know how to engineer a car either, but I guarantee you if a car doesn’t work properly, and it doesn’t accurately do the basic function it is designed to do correctly, I’m having no part of it. Due to the current ranking system not accurately doing its basic function correctly, I now do not want to be a part of pinball past going out three times a month and competing in events within my hometown.

And honestly, even that is slightly tainted, as I know the State Championship Series, which allows the best players throughout the year in each state to compete for decent cash prizes and a trip to compete in Nationals is based on the same flawed ranking system. And because of that, the majority of the players in five of the six cities within my state have no chance of realistically competing in the SCS under the current ranking system. The SCS should be for the best players, but, as I will explain in a bit, there are average players in one city with a MUCH greater chance of getting into the SCS than even above average players in the other five cities.

There are about a dozen players from the five lowest point producing cities that are good enough to consistently place at the top of the tournaments held in their hometowns that could result in them receiving some decent points. Whether they are decent enough points to qualify for the SCS though, in many instances, no they are not. And for the other 60+ players, they have no chance what-so-ever to qualify for the SCS because the ability to obtain points is not there for them. Unless of course they decide to make 5 to 14 hour drives and pay literally hundreds to thousands of dollars throughout the year for food, gas, mileage, and lodging. And of course, when those kinds of choices pop up, the question becomes, “Is it worth all that?” And to 98% of the 60+ it isn’t.

Based on the first two months of 2019, the projected yearly rankings point totals available for the four main cities within my state are...240, 270, 630, and 1,500. And please keep in mind there are also two other cities that have players that have had such significant drops in points that I am not even listing them here as one receives about 60 points a year and one decided to stop playing in sanctioned events all together.

Now maybe it’s just me, but when the E level 40th place finisher of a tourney in the city producing 1500 points a year receives more points (reflecting they are more skilled) than the B level 4th place finisher in the city producing 270 points a year, even though the B level 4th place finisher would, without a single doubt in the entire known universe, completely destroy the E level 40th place finisher on any game in existence 9 times out of 10, there is an obvious problem with the current ranking system.

It is my belief that the rankings are a total fraud past about the 300th mark. And because of this, it is my choice to play in hometown events only, care nothing about the fraudulent system, and let others waste hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars taking part in what I and several others perceive as an irrelevant ranking system.

I believe what may ultimately happen in my state is a couple of the Michael Jordan and Larry Bird types that happen to live very close to the 1500 point city will drive over and dominate that city’s reoccurring player field. From what I see, having played against several of the world’s top players in several tourneys, that city’s reoccurring player field features maybe one low A player, four or five B players, and several C-E players. This will make it very easy for the high A players that live close to come in and take the largest cash prizes in the SCS that the 1500 point city worked so hard to build up.

Hopefully after being robbed blind, the 1500 point city will calm it down a bit on the tourneys. Although the, “Prestige,” of being, “Ranked,” so high might be enough for them to keep it going. Unfortunately, all to the dismay of the 60+ players from the other five cities that will never have a shot at SCS competition.

The current ranking system promotes, “Playing more pinball,” kinda, it also causes many reoccurring players to hold less tournaments or stop playing all together. It also does not accurately do what it is designed to do, and that is rank players based on skill. Eldarya Valentine Event Review

So, as everyone who reads the guide blog knows, I try my best to stay 400% neutral there; I don't want to impose my opinions on people who just want to know what the right answers are and, to be honest, I tend to keep to myself anyway. But I've often been asked to share my opinions at least on this Tumblr (there was actually a poll a few years ago, where I asked if people wanted that and I just realized I never started posting opinions anyway. XD sorry, I'm so terribad at this) so here I am, being asked my thoughts on the matter and answering, for once. I also noticed I suck at tagging; blame the fact that this is just an info-blog about the guide website, I promise I'll go back and sort them out. I will tag Personal opinion posts or the ones about myself with "Purrsonal" so you can skip them if you want. (All) that being said, the Valentine event... under the cut because it’s extra long.

As usual, it started with bugs. Yeah, ok, let's move on, there is nothing new to say. I really wish they tested this stuff a bit before tossing it on us.

Outfits: Truth be told, I overall don't like them. There are some pieces that I find absolutely great but that is it. Valkyon's especially is really weird to look at, more like a chastity device than date outfit, even if I do like the boots, and the shoulderpads aren't that bad I guess. Hopefully people have better taste than me and can appreciate them more, but for me, having to pay potentially so much more than usual for outfits that I like far less was a bit of a disappointment.

Money: In that regard, yes you do pay more, a lot more, it's not just you, it's a fact. On average (there was some market involved, plus the occasional energy potion... blablabla) the 2017 event, assuming optimal completion (not spending more than strictly necessary) cost a whole 80 maana (or less!) for 3 outfits. The 2018 event? 0. Yep, all free. 2019? We are talking about 1200 maana (optimal completion) and we all know many of us didn't optimally complete. It sucked.

True, this is the only event you can finish early without spending a single gold coin (2017 and 2018 required gold coins if you made mistakes or skipped some days that didn't depend on knowing the answers), but it's also the only event where if you want the companion you have to pay. 2017? present from Leiftan, free. 2018, Completion Prize, free.

Companion: As someone who watched My Little Pony as a toddler, it's simply adorable. Diabetes-inducing adorable, but still adorable. Plus, it's animated (but it kinda looks like it's having a seizure...)! Is it the start of a trend? Stats are really not great (unless puberty hits reaaally hard and the adult is a half-miracle), but I caved in and bought it at least on the Italian version. It sucks that it's not free. :( The fact that the companion could only be obtained by paying for it was the biggest downside of this event for me, and I think that it was also the first time this happened outside an episode since the game came out internationally. /Sadpanda.

Background: I love backgrounds, and this is very sugary, but beautiful; I just wish it didn't replace the companion as completion reward, because if I HAD to choose between the 2, I would have preferred the latter, as much as I wish we had more event backgrounds, companions are just more useful, especially for newbies.

Mechanics: My biggest complain here is the cost, too high. We had all foreseen the use of the newly acquired alchemy minigame as the engine for this event, and while some don't like it, I was ok with that. It's just too expensive to be likable. We never had to pay so much for a Valentine event and I hope it won't repeat itself. On the bright side, it's not a skill minigame, so it's not something we can fail. Considering the issues many had during the last events, perahps at least THAT is a good thing. It's nice that you can find the ingredients everywhere, including the low energy areas, but I would have preferred if they had split the loot pool among them instead of everything dropping everywhere; finding everything you need for a specific outfit, especially the scrolls, is extremely hard with these chances, and the scrolls are 100 maana. Which brings me to the next point: the final questions. While I like the idea of a tiny-mini-episode inside the event with its answers to guess, God Bless the guides, because I'd like to see people complete this event using no extra maana or gold, without relying on people who paid to advance faster. If you try to do it staying in those 1200 maana, the optimal completion, you submit yourselves to the the RNGesus, and it could take DAYS to complete a route. Now, imagine getting a couple of answers wrong, and having to wait a DAY to retry... get them all wrong and you take 13 days JUST for the answers... it's a bit crazy. Cant we have, I don't know, an attempt every 4-6 hours? It's like they are really trying hard to make us spend money this time around.

Story: Well, can't say that I liked seeing Gardienne "Unable to control herself" and cheating on her boyfriend, mostly because I don't think it was necessary. If you haven't played episode 19 yet, the boyfriend is not mentioned, as you are in that weird out-of-time situation where there is no boyfriend yet, and it doesn't feel as terrible. Yes, "you" are still kissing someone you may not like for the sake of the outfit/illustration with no option to opt out, but at the same time, it's quite mild and it is just a dream... I wish it had been like that for accounts past episode 19 as well. This version leaves a sour taste in my mouth and knocks my Erika LOM meter down a few notches. Yes, I understand it's a dream, and I'm fully aware people dream really weird stuff sometimes, where you do things you'd never do in real life and have no control over yourself, but she doesn't even show any embarassment or regret upon waking up. I also do not identify with the MC in this kind of game so I'm mighty fine with disliking her or her actions (not the first time~~~); I would probably not have minded a situation like this for the story's sake. It would have been interesting to explore (although, I'm always a bit scared about trusting Beemoov with this stuff, they can't handle it very well). But it is supposed to be a cute valentine event, and it would have taken so little to make this more palatable for everyone. Was it really necessary to add this tiny bit of angst?

Overall opinion: I know I criticized a lot, this event was probably among the ones I've liked the least, mostly for the excessive cost and some debatable choices on the story. I did like some things though, including using the alchemy minigame (I know I'm in the minority here :p), mostly because it requires no skill, something that has caused issues in the past - minigames hard to play on touch screens, color impairments, etc., etc. - and I liked the fact that they removed Daily gates - the fact you couldn't advance past the missions of the day unless you paid. This event could be completed in a day if you wanted, and with a bit of luck without spending a single gold coin, that was nice. I'm not sure I would like another event like this, but there was some potential that I hope won't be immediately discarded.

Loved the best (ranked 1st to 4th + Bonus to be fair since I listed 5 things I dislike XD): 1. I LOVE THE TIMER ON THE CORNER, underappreciated little bastard *heart* 2. No daily gates, you could finish the entire event in one day or in 12, without spending extra money. 2. The mini-episode at the end. The idea of it at least, I've already said I don't like some of the... content. 3. No luck with explorations? You can finish the event with maana. It's nice that you can use maana (and not gold coins) to finish the event if you are unlucky or don't have enough time. 4. No hard-to-do minigames (I've never had an issue with them, but I've heard of hundreds of people who did.) 5. The background and the companion were overly cute.

Hated the beast (ranked 1st to 4th + Special guest star): 1. Companion in Gold coins only, my biggest disappointment 2. The whole cheating thing. Why? Was it needed? 3. Having to pay maana for an event, when the ones before were all free 4. Disregarding personal taste, I don't think Valkyon outfit was suited for a Valentine day date. 5. And once again, the bugs. I just... don't... have... any polite words left for it. It's last only because it's featured in every single event, so it has lost the novelty effect.
