its so easy to stay where you are most comfortable and where you are used to being - in negative states.

something i realized i used to do a lot when i first understood the law/states: i used to know i had to change self but i still spent days in the same negative state without taking the effort to apply. understanding the knowledge is one thing but actually applying can take a push.

applying the law is not "work" but at the same time everything depends on YOU to change and that change might take a push or some effort since some of us (especially ppl new to the law), are so used to being in a negative state which becomes comfortable and our dwelling state.

this makes it SEEM "harder" to manifest when in fact all you have to do is take the lead and change self. you have to realize that life is literally only a reflection of SELF. you feel shitty everyday bc thats what version of self you are being.

if youre thinking bullshit like "ill do it later" when talking about applying the law, you are failing to realize that you are ALWAYS applying the law. you are only failing to apply it in a way that benefits you which is self sabotage. stop leaving yourSELF last & CHANGE SELF NOW!

imagine being in a state for months or years where you believe youre ugly and successful. ofc you become comfortable in that state since youve been accepting/being that version of you for so long. this doesnt mean its hard to change states if youve been in a negative state for so long. again, this means it SEEMS hard to change, but its NOT. realize everything is only a state and everything is up to you! you being SELF! you are not your state! you are only occupying states! theres nothing to "reprogram"! theres no need to work on limiting beliefs!

to be comfortable in your ideal state, you have to be uncomfortable & get tf out of that negative state u are so used to being in. stop w the "ill do it later" & make sure ur actually applying the law to ur advantage be u complain about ur life while not being the change u need.

take the effort to CHANGE. use techniques to your advantage and HAVE FUN w them! KNOW your power and know everything changes once YOU change. idc if it SEEMS hard... change self. idc if you feel lazy... change self.

when are you going to take control of your life and yourSELF instead of staying comfortable in old, negative states? is SELF in control of your life or these states? are you willing to get uncomfortable by occupying the state that benefits you for the change you look for?

ofc when you start to change self/states, it can feel weird and uncomfortable but it WILL become your new COMFORTABLE. stop waiting for shit to change when the only thing that needs change is SELF. take control of your life and apply the law to your advantage NOW!

dissecting the Emmrich graveyard scene below for how down bad they are for eachother

we begin -

"I would hate to lose you whilst I am still mortal"

this line is directly after Rook questioning all the flirting and what that means for them should he become a lich. which Emmrich responds witht he above. this is a tough one for me to break down as either way Emmrich retains his soul, emotions, and thoughts if he becomes a lich. I believe this line is tied to the fact of being afraid Rook will not want him anymore once he explains his desire to be a lich, as alluded to throughout the rest of the scene.

this one is kind of self explanatory. Emmrich states that nothing will change if he becomes a lich, apart form the no death thing, but would still consider Rook in the decision.

then we are met with a sigh - this is a sigh of desperation. 'how do i choose my words so carefully that Rook see's my desire and doesn't shun me for it' - hence Emmrich goes on to explain what being a lich would mean in hopes rook will still desire him. (this becomes a big factor throughout the rest of the lich romance - desire)

'considerations'

as above, and again now with considering rook. now the first conversation cuts out after this. it is my belief that these considerations are considering Rook and their perspective, whilst also including the fact that it is later revealed that Emmrich might die during the rite, therefore losing Rook whilst still mortal. I believe this line is both a statement of care for Rook, and his fear od death.

throughout the quest, Rook asks Emmrich a bunch of questions, more so just filler content so Rook can understand lichdom and the process.

then Emmrich shows you something that is probably the closest thing to his heart before Rook. his parents graves. keep in mind that Emmrich had these made, and he engraved 'they walk eternity hand in hand'. Then the next shot is Rook and Emmrich walking side by side to the shrine.

walking eternity hand in hand is also mentioned in the lich romance scene,"find you in another world" aka the fade. this man has believed in soulmates for decades.

subtle conversation tactic of, 'what would you want me to be, rook'. here you either say happy with someone who cares about him, or break up with him (i do nOT reccommend).

simple to the point, emmrich is looking for subtle validation here for rooks feelings

and the fact that there is only one correct option is wild too.

If you choose, "Whatever you want", you reply by saying Happy. which very close to the romance committment line of "Happy with someone who cares for you."

Emmrich is looking for that connection so so badly, hence why only one option

Emmrich's gaze towards Rook as he asks them what shes wants, and baring his soul to her.

after committing - Emmrich does not look away from rook once.

rook is fucked. rook is head over heels in love and smitten with this man. keep in mind that throughout the rest of the game, there are conversations with companions where Emmrich will straight up shut them down when pressed about them 'moving too fast' or 'do you know what you are doing'. Emmrich is very clearly defensive about these things, which is so hot.

in my playthrough, they are necromancers, well aware of how short life is, especially facing the apocolypse. ofc they are going all in.

this man is gonna go home and jump up and down on his bed

biggest difference in the story is that oz's parents divorce. because i mean in the game his weird behavior could be excused, it only lasts a week after all, but in this new situation obviously eventually there would be major problems. even if she doesnt know whats actually wrong theres still gunna be something very off with the relationship yk?

When you hear a voice from behind you

You can hear your boyfriend groan before turning around to face a man you don’t recognize but who does look somewhat similar to him

“What do you want?”

The man’s gaze jumps from Seth to you, eyeing you up and down and smiling slightly

“I didn’t know you had a partner!”

Seth seems even less thrilled than he was before, an unusual look on him

“Yeah well there’s a lot you don’t know, and I’d honestly prefer to keep it that way”

“Aww come on little, aren’t you even gonna introduce me?”

The man turns to you, grinning, a stark contrast to your boyfriend’s current mood

And this is the moment Seth decides he’s had enough of this and grabs your hand

He’s more embarrassed than actually frustrated however, embarrassed that you where forced to meet someone he doesn’t really want in his life at the moment

But it’s all good, he just hates that it wasn’t on his own terms that you got to meet his brother

Some thoughts for my Hantengu x Tanjiro modern AU 🥺🥺

I have so many thoughts but im too impatient to write fanfiction and i just wanna air out my ideas lol and waiting for me to draw a comic for it also gonna take awhile so ill just write it down here! I might draw a comic based on this in the future but we'll see!

They met when Hantengu stumbled upon Tanjiro's bakery. The bakery is not new just that Hantengu never takes the route that pass the bakery on his way home lol

it was a love at first sight 🥺 on Hantengu's end that is lol. Tanjiro thought he was a creepy oldman that loitered outside his bakery 😂

Their first meeting

oki u guys remember how Tan didn't smell Hantengu's demonic scent?? i wanna add that here (?) but in this scenario Tanjiro just can't guess how Hantengu is feeling which fascinated him. he always have the advantage of knowing how people feel from their scent but Hantengu doesn't emit any of that or if he does it hard to tell.

this does take place in an omegaverse and Tanjiro is an omega while Hantengu is a beta. but that doesn't stop Tan to be able to scent people's emotion Hanchan just built different

Hantengu only comes in if he saw Tan behind the cashier, Tan's siblings noticed this and call Hanchan his secret admirer lol

on a slow day Tan decided to confront Hantengu about his weird behaviour but Han ran and stopped coming for weeks

one day Han came back on a busy time, Tan noticed him and told him to wait for him outside. almost an hour later Tan finally came out and apologized for making him wait this long in the cold 😂 But Han said that its alright. Tan offered to treat him food and they went to an oden stall

The whole time its just Tan talking LOL Hanchan's too flustered to say anything. Tan told him that he seems lonely that's why he doesn't feel angry or annoyed that Han do that just weird. this is where they start their friendship. every few days they went to eat at a stall and its either Tan or Han that pays but mostly Tan.. idk i feel like Han the type to take any advantage on getting free food LOL

ofc they got closer and Han start to talk alot more then one thing leads to another and they are dating (?) yes Tan asked how old Hantengu is and was surprised that he's only 40 😂 Han said he has a skin condition that made him look older than he should

pic above is their first ever official date 🤣 they ate at Hantengu's favorite ramen stall

i know Hantengu was the one in love(?) at first but it was Tan that confessed and ask him out. Tan was waiting but Hantengu never did so one day Tan brought him to a fancy restaurant and asked him out lol

Han was super insecure at first cause on top of dating someone younger he's not exactly good looking, but Tan just told him to stop insulting his bf. i like to think that Tan helped him to be more confident :D

in one of their midnight hangouts(?) Han mention that he mostly buy food from the convenience store so it's a nice change of pace to eat out like this. Tan was very disraught hearing this so he told Han to drop by his bakery before work so he can take a homemade lunch box to eat and not long after they start dating Tanjiro came to his house to cook dinner. This time Hantengu insist to pay for the groceries lol

idk why but i headcanon Hantengu's favorite food is karaage lol it reminds him of his late father. he's a busy man so he have no time to cook but he ocassionaly prep karaage for Hantengu to eat. One time when Tanjiro cooks him karaage he cried while eating it lol. they eat karaage for a whole week after that

Hantengu gave him a spare key to his apartment so Tan don't have to wait for him to get in. Tan also start doing chores around his house and found lots of Hanchan's hidden secret… his laundry 🤢

The first time Tanjiro helped do Hantengu's laundry he was baffled cause there were so many ruined socks and underwear that he still wore. so he told him to throw them all away and they went to a department store to buy new pairs. Tanjiro even offered to buy it for him 😂

Hantengu is an only child, his parents already passed away when he met Tanjiro. His mom died when he was young while his dad died later from a work accident

Tanjiro's family never expect Tanjiro to be dating Hantengu. it was a shock when Tanjiro said they are going out now. They thought Tanjiro was just being nice to this weird oldman 😂

His mom was against their realtionship. on top of the age gap he just look sketchy 😂 But his dad said that they should trust Tanjiro and just let them be

His siblings ofcourse were very against it cause they want Tan to get back together with his ex 😂 Tanjiro's ex is Kyojuro :))

i changed their age here.. Kyo and Tan were childhood friends so they knew each other or a long time and their family are close too. it devastated both family when they broke up. The reason? who knows (i haven't decided yet)

One day when Tanjiro sleeps over at his house Hantengu woke up realising how happy he is and saw so many things have changed for the better ever since he go out with Tanjiro. When they were eating breakfast that Tanjiro made he just blurts out asking Tan to marry him. Then Tan chokes on his food (he said yes)

Tan was just surprised Han proposed to him, he thought he'll be the one who's gonna propose lol

Now Hanchan gotta charmed the whole family to accept him (?)

Tanjiro knows about Hantengu's parents so they went on a trip to go to his family grave to pay a visit :D They also met a few distant relatives of Hanchan.

this is how the meeting between Hantengu and Tanjiro's parents went

Because Tanjiro will be inheriting the family bakery, Hantengu changed his surname to Kamado. so legally his name is Kamado Urami but Tanjiro still calls him Hanchan 🥺. Yes in this AU Hantengu's name was Hantengu Urami lol

their nickname for each other is Hanchan and Tantan

Tanjiro said Hanchan so much that their kids firstword is "Hantan" (MUAHHAHA don't worry guys it's actually just a baby talk cause babies have a hard time pronouncing "chan" ☝🤓)

their wedding is not that grand they just invite family and friends. Hantengu invites his boss and some of his co workers lol. they need em to shut up about Hantengu finding a bf/gf this way they'll stop. they have their suspicion about Han's love life but they never expect to received a wedding invitation lol

speaking of Hantengu's job.. canonically he is known to be really good at infiltrating according to Muzan at least lol. so i made him be a data analyst in this AU lol idk smtg to do with data 😭 he could be a government spy but that'd be too cool for this hantengu 😂

i said that Tanjiro gonna inherit the bakery right? well too bad... it didn't happen when they found out they gonna have a quadruplets 😂 so the bakery goes to Nezuko. Tanjiro helped out later on when the kids start middle school.

Hantengu and kidoairakuzou by some miracle (me LOL) shares the same birthday. so it was a really hectic day for Tanjiro every year. Tanjiro likes to celebrate a quiet bday at night for Hantengu tho. sometimes with a small personal birthday cake or leftover cakes 😂

what are all your opinions on faulkner?

for the sake of my digital footprint im going to be selective about the opinions i give you but as a true yapper i have plenty to say. also this contains spoilers so read at your own risk >:0!!!!!

first i think hes a fantastically written character. his arc is compelling and hard to watch in equal measure

i absolutely love that his cadence of speech in his monologues and dialogue at the start of the series are very distinct from one another, but as his internal fantasies and external world begin to merge later in the series, he speaks in the cadence of his self-aggrandizing thoughts from earlier seasons

i think hes absolutely tragic and he breaks my heart the longer i think about him

he should have been at the club

narratively i love how he has so many outs and moments of almost being saved throughout the series. his dad knew he should have covered the water butt. carpenter tries to befriend him. she tells him they can cover up mason's murder. he has a fleeting moment of reconciliation with his father that, in someone else, could have spurred a change for the better. if eddie had come to their house sooner, he may have had a change of heart. if rane has been able to see him as faulkner and not the high prophet, they might have been friends instead of idol and devotee. narratively, this is amazing. emotionally, its devastating and i hate it

i think its a pity his being trans wasnt explored more, because, as others have pointed out, being 1 of 3 brothers with no mother and devoting yourself to a masculine/fatherly god is very interesting. i know this wasnt a planned aspect of his character and its also the most normal thing about him so ofc i dont begrudge its omission, i just think it could have been interesting on a character level

its so delicious to me that faulkner is the character we get the most physical description of. he has blond hair and carpenter describes his body as "tiny". he wore a school uniform. he wore jeans and a shirt to travel to the seminary. he has his driftwood staff. he drew prayer marks in mud all over himself in season 1. he was injured by the angel and we got plenty of description about the wound. we know all about his cope and cassock in s3. he has kind eyes. i just love how of all the characters, its faulkner - whose image is so implicitly and explicitly important to himself, his followers, his advisors, etc - that we have the most canon appearance information about

i love that the fandom almost unanimously agrees he has freckles :]

Speculating who is in the suitcase at a given time, the regulars and etc etc.

(Excluding anecdotes because there is alot)

Vertin is the only permanent 24/7 resident of the suitcase, shes inside and carries it everywhere.

While Sonetto is almost always with Vertin, with Uluru she is not always present in the suitcase with Vertin: her original position was field investigator so likely does that or something else.

Ofc certain arcanists are members of the different branches: Laplace with Mesmer, X, Lucy, Medpoc, Ezra and Regulus; Zeno with Lilya, Matilda with the SPDM when shes not being annually kidnapped by Vertin.

Discussing other characters excluding those introduced in 2.0 onwards:

Avgust and Vila likely are in SPDM.

Field investigators like Windsong (works with Laplace, idk do they count as Laplace?) and potentially Marcus travel around.

Kakania either follows Marcus (Marcus taking on Hoffman's role) or she becomes a member of Laplace.

Isolde from voicelines seems to be 'contained' within the suitcase or at the very least is restricted in movement for obivous reasons.

Jessica and Blonney likely either are in the suitcase or at SPDM.

Spathodea and Ulu if not in the suitcase are at the Uluru Stadium.

(Now thinking about it where do characters not necessarily connected to other branches or are just in the Timekeeper's team but aren't with Vertin? Etc where do Druvis and Horrorpedia chill when not with Vertin?)

By Uluru we do confirm other characters like Bunny Bunny, the Horse etc etc are in the suitcase. (Monolitch, Oliver Fog, AlienT, A Knight, An Lee) all confirmed appearances in anecdotes.

No idea when Melania or Pickles join and how (And Diggers we don't know until the 2.1 anecdote gets fully released in global)

Eagle we do meet in Book 2 (I completely forgor that we just pick up a child there, same with Lelani).

It is definite that not all 60+ characters have become residents in the suitcase by 1.9 (as in while we do get to play as them, in the timeline they may not be in the suitcase at for example 1.8 or something). We eventually met all of them, like characters from 1.6 eventually end up in the suitcase at some point, as for characters like Pavia, Balloon Party we do not know when they join the suitcase so far.

Ill wager story wise theres probably around 10 people in the suitcase at a time, Vertin likely has to register members who go on field missions or needs approval for members belonging to certain branches to accompany her (etc Medpoc was only present with Vertin as she was deemed the safest person to travel with).

Im assuming if Vertin is just in the Foundation, the suitcase is placed in her designated office there, if she has one or a common area where ppl can come and go as they please.

Speculation: Do you think we might storywise ever see the destruction or damaging of the suitcase? And the potential to have the UI reflect this change? Possible maybe.

nuts reading trigun in japanese 2 - slight tonal change

i dont have access to darkhorse's version so these are from trigun overhaul (ilu), so i might be flying a bit blind here on this bit. anyway.

im. confoos at the change here:

JP bubbles are all sound effects. the white is "kuikui" = flicking his hand?, and the black is "pachin" = roughly snap/pop/slap

so im not too entirely sure whats going on here for the change, if its to match up with contemporary works in that time or to fit a different media culture vibe. im assuming this was in DH's version. anyway.

vash here gets very quiet when a plan seems to start churning in his head and he just. gets on it and puts it in action. he doesnt engage shit talk or provocation, he just... does things.

bc right after this he sets the waitress down

and gets to work helping the other victims caught in the mess. without a single word.

ive noticed this especially in the later parts of the manga and this is not an isolated incident.

when a city ends up getting destroyed as a result of vash & wolfwood fighting midvalley the hornfreak & hoppered the gauntlet, vash seems to rope wolfwood into repair and construction. and there he would say "less talking more working" towards wolfwood.

when he creates those mini dark hole bullets for the final fight against his brother, vash doesnt consult or ask for advice, the guy just does things.

its likely that hes lived for such a long time and been so alone in his lifestyle that relying on others in a communicative way feels unnatural and weird. but thats my read on it. its also kinda... knives like in a way. "dont need approval, dont need advice, dont care about judgement, dont care if i do it alone, this feels right, so ill just do it"

ofc he seems to grow from this a little if his relationship towards wolfwood is any indication, but oooonly a little.

i think stampede vash inherited a lot of this mindset, but didnt get the little shit behavior as much

Tho surprisingly he's the sweetest ever to other monsters, except for "papyrus" (you'll see why it's in quotations lol) and flowey... he's meaner than flowey is in this au, sadistic fucker he is LMAO

He still has his punny self ofc, but he's got extreme anger issues when he's forced to escort determination humans to the castle.... humans without determination usually get dealt with right in spawm by "papyrus" but any with determination get lured into a false sense of "security" with all the monsters (unless the human is violent) and escorted to alphys, JUST FOR THEM TO GET BASICALLY FLAYED ALIVE IN A WAY by having their soul extracted while they're still awake lol

In the main plot in my story for this au they come across the sweetest human ever, who makes the grave mistake of.... showing kindness to sans. He basically gets paranoid, goes apeshit and kills the human immediately after getting even slightly vulnerable.... ill have to draw the specific scenario where he gets ultra triggered lol
