#but no Yui is a full sadist and i need people to see that and understand that she takes joy in making people miserable and drawing out that

Hello, I'm the anon from earlier. I'm not a business person by any means either, but I guess I was thrown off by the fact that a seemingly family-owned corporation like Hirahara Corp apparently had an outsider as CEO? Rand inheriting instead of Yui makes sense since there were no male heirs and this is probably a patriarchal set-up; but why didn't Koutaro, or any other Hirahara, become CEO rather than Young-chul?
I 100% think the partnership with the Kims continuing even after the past SA allegations is a "sleazy business world" thing. I doubt shareholders have any problems with it so long as it generates profit. Most likely the allegations didn't amount to anything, which is unfortunately realistic.
I can't WAIT for Yujing's article, it will no doubt send shockwaves throughout the system even if it doesn't manage to topple it just yet.
Oh absolutely, SAME! I've always felt that Yui herself resents that the company is passing down not through her, but technically through Rand, that his illegitimate child could possibly even stand an opportunity simply by being Rand's son (and thus why she has torn him down at every opportunity, so he never gets the chance to ever catch attention). Part of her whole deal with having Kousuke fast-track his way to CEO seems to be to bring the company fully back into the hands of the Hiraharas, so yes, I was DEFINITELY taken aback that someone OTHER than a Hirahara could have been a CEO.
Like... right. For what reason did it work out that way, that not even Koutarao was CEO? And if Yui doesn't want Hirahara falling into the hands of anyone else, it feels like a Choice to partner with them - although I guess it's because a partnership doesn't hold as much power?
A really half-baked thought I haven't been able to work through prior is that maybe Yui is playing some kind of long game - that by partnering with the Kims they could somehow let them fall back on their own sword (when you think about it, the Kims and Hiraharas are really poised to bring each other down, right?) but.... that seems messy and why would she do that? Then again... she likes a good hunt and chase. Tangentially a theory I have that goes dark is, perhaps, a member of the Kim family may have assaulted Yui when she was younger, but that's a topic for another post (I keep meaning to work on) but it loops back to "why would Yui partner with someone if she loathes them"? What does she seek to gain from that? She tends to see a few steps ahead of anyone else, so if she had had a plan, I wouldn't be shocked. After all.... wouldn't it be so easy to spin the story as "sob sob as it turns out, Gun Kim pressured us to make poor Nol take the fall for Sangchul; he was going around trying to drug girls at the Kim formal but he forced us to stay quiet~ you know how that family is~" which is, honestly, scary, but is it beyond the realm of the things Yui does? If anything, it feels like child's play, right?
On the one hand I'm like that's so convoluted, Yui would never, but only the other hand, this woman gets off on peoples' misery and loves to torture, so if she went through a long con to get back at the man/family who possibly did something to her when she was younger, if she played nice with them with the eventual intention to castigate them? Making them business partners gives enough reason to believe that they could "coerce" Yui and co to do anything, by trying to use the "lesser" of the Hirahara boys (barf) to take the fall. And how easy would it be to actually trace the drugs back to Yui? Oh, the accused perp is claiming she gave them to him? When there's a whole history of this happening at his school, in his family? When you look at Gun Kim and his rep? What other allegations have come from those Kim formals that never went anywhere? She could SO easily twist any of that!
But idk lmao it feels almost cartoon villain and I'm probably grasping at straws, but I let the thought live at the back of my mind, to see if it will grow into anything else and to see if we get anything else to change how I feel. Something definitely happened in Yui's past, of that I'm certain, but everything else is very loose conjecture.
But whether that has to do with the Kim Hirahara family history we're yet to see. There's so many questions I have and I really hope everything will be answered LMAOOOOO I also look forward to Yujing's expose, but ever since reading the theory that she's working on two separate pieces, I can't help but feel the real bomb will drop in s2. But even seeing what she's writing for Nol's case sounds promising, because it feels like the prelude of the much bigger piece, right?
GOD I get really excited just thinking of it, even though I feel like learning the eventual truth is gonna make me feel real nauseous. The seediness of the Kims and Hiraharas runs deep and twisted and UUGGGHHH. The angle of "the less fortunate" taking the fall for the affluent, privileged elite is suuuuch a good angle to work and I can't WAIT to see the ripples of it!!!!!
#I Love Yoo#ILY Brainrot#ILY Anon#Yui Hirahara#Gun Kim#man i almost feel like I need a tag for Hirahara as a company now LMAO#Yui always leaves me guessing and i'm almost never correct LMAO#one day i swear like REALLY SOON i'm gonna write my big thought post on what i think is the deal with Yui like I SWEAR#i've got some big thoughts on her lately and i've always wanted to write it out#i'm glad as a fandom people are coming around to see it was never just about Rand's infidel that it was always something else and that was#more like an inconvenience to her a blight on her image the fact that a second son exists who could potentially threaten Kousuke's standing#rather than a disgraced lover taking revenge#(and like even if that was the situation she still has tortured Nol to such extents that cannot be justified by being heartbroken)#but no Yui is a full sadist and i need people to see that and understand that she takes joy in making people miserable and drawing out that#misery so that they are constantly tortured. case in point: rand.#BUT THIS IS NOT THAT POST LMAO#this is me going wtf is up with the Kims and Hiraharas

// That was literally confirmed by Rejet, it’s not something anyone made up. I’m pretty sure the creators know the characters better than people on the internet.
The only reason why Ayato was so obsessed with Yui was because he was cursed to be attracted to her but later on genuinely fell for her. He wouldn’t act like that with any other sacrificial brides (OCs are free to have their own canon though), because they meant nothing to him other than food.
Just look at his expression in YB when he saw her, he was almost having a breakdown in full sight. That’s why I said that Rejet explained everything about his actions, it’s not even predator instinct nor a trauma response, it’s merely something he can’t control no matter what. A very uncomfortable feeling, as if something was eating you on the inside. I wouldn’t have felt that bad for him IF the reason he got cursed was because he did something bad but he didn’t. He only wanted to save his brothers and get himself out of that place.
Rejet explains in the official short story (translated by Koiiro on WP) the entire situation better. If you don’t believe it, it’s your problem but these are the canon facts. Basically, Yui says that she has to eat meat even though she feels a bit bad for the animals killed in the process, but Ayato compares it to the sacrificial brides to cheer her up and explains that it's the circle of life. Vampires, after all, require blood to survive:
Ayato-"I don't feel sorry for those who are sacrificed.
Yui- "…eh?"
Ayato- "Because they're eaten by the great me. The weak can live within the strong, right? They should be grateful."
Yui- "Ayato-kun..."
Ayato- Titless looks surprised somehow. I look away from her, thinking that what just I said is an obvious thing.
Yui- "..thank you. You really are kind, Ayato-kun.'
Ayato- For some reason, I hear Titless thanking me from behind.
Ayato- "Huh!? What do you mean?"
Yui- “...eh? I mean... at the very least, my blood isn't simply going to waste inside of you. When the thought crossed my mind, I just felt that way somehow…”
Ayato- Titless shyly smiles as she answers.
Only because a character is horny, doesn’t mean he’s going to screw with everyone. Yui is one of the thirstiest otome heroines but is she jumping on every guy she sees?? No, obviously! Ayato has teenage boy hormones and the fact he owns magazines with women in swimsuits (not naked actually) doesn’t make him a sex addict. Of course he isn’t a virgin and knows how to kiss, he’s going to a school full of celebrities and there are a lot of famous and pretty girls who like him, one was even shown in HDB. A fun fact is that none of the S brothers was a virgin before Yui, they all had previous experience but this doesn’t mean they all did it with the sacrificial brides.
The only Diaboy who rap€d Yui in HDB is Laito, all the others pulled the dub-con card which is what happens in most otome games and it’s considered very hot by the Japanese audience. Such a thing as dub-con can’t exist in real life, because it’d be rap€ in that case but people NEED to understand that otome games are fictional and don’t need to be compared to real life situations and especially not DL, taking account that it was made for fans with masochistic fantasies. No Sakamaki had human morals or knew any human rules in HDB and MB; they may look like humans but they’re a whole different species. You can’t expect demons to be super nice and sweet when that’s not in their nature and if you really think the themes presented in DL are so awful, why get involved ? The franchise literally has DIABOLIK in it, obviously it would be about sadists, that’s the point.
Also, speaking of HDB, look what’s written about him. Rejet talks positively about Ayato and clarifies his behavior:
1. Good at taking care. Ayato is surprisingly caring, such as: strongly holding hands to avoid getting lost. He is the type of person who wants to keep his precious existence to himself.
2. Ayato’s speciality is cornering his partner with an arrogant commanding tone, his overwhelming desire to control is a manifestation of his love/affection.
His love language is basically dominating, that’s just the way he shows affection towards a girl and it’s also mentioned how even the HDB version of Ayato, who was the most abusive version of him, actually considered Yui someone precious to him and that’s exactly why he wouldn’t let anything bad happen to her, aside from his pranks.
Let’s be honest, all Diaboys were really toxic in HDB and despite some sweet moments, all of them were abusive, yet that was predictable. DL follows the mythological not sugarcoated type of vampires. Being possessive or mean isn’t that controversial by DL standards, since they’re all like that BUT there is still a limit.
i thought about the Sakamaki brothers and i noticed:
Shu degraded the MC the most out his brothers for no specific reason that had to do with his past Reiji burned down a village and killed people as revenge Kanato turned sacrifices in wax dolls Laito broke the former brides minds and manipulated his brothers Subaru saw his child as competition and got jealous on him
The one who did the least controversial things in the routes is…Ayato?!
// Well… yes, unless you count the bad endings.
I mean, Ayato is far from being a saint, but they gave him so much canon material that he was cast in such a positive light and all of his actions started to make sense. Rejet basically found an excuse for his excessive thirst for Yui's blood, because, as seen in YB, he was cursed to be so and simply can’t control it even if he tries. Rejet also made Ayato admit that all he had done to the previous sacrificial brides was feed off of them because he needed blood to survive. Yui mentioned in another official short story how she felt as if she had always loved Ayato but remembered the exact moment she fell for him, proving that it wasn't just the Adam & Eve curse that made them fall for each other.
What I mean is that despite Ayato's flaws (impulsiveness, arrogance, occasional selfishness etc.) and the fact that he plays pranks on others, he is still very "protected" by Rejet and even got the official title of "DL's main hero”, so they obviously can't make him say or do things that come off as very controversial even by DL’s standards.
#admin#(and I know not everyone got a bunch of official material)#(but all the things mentioned here are canon)#(it’s ok to disagree with Rejet but as I said)#(they are the creators and they know the characters best)#(if they’re biased towards Ayato let them be)#(if I made an otome game I would have a favorite love interest too)

Okay, I think it is time we talk about something very important here -, I saw the hate ask certain OC received and a private ask I got from a fan of the blog, I'm not going to sit and watch...
First of all...
You don't know us (the muses), you know the character we are doing. You can not judge my person by how I write a Character.
First of all -, you don't know the amount of "Daddy" and "Onii-chan" asks I have already deleted simply because I cringed too hard, you know what I post, not what I delete,
Second of all, I will not act as if Shu is a saint and loveable guy that can be "fixed with love", because he can't. Shu has done a LOT of terrible things in Games that have been exposed on this blog.
His victim-blame is not as bad? He, being pushy, doesn't count as something awful? For me, an extremly vanilla person, even his sadist comments makes me cringe, but guess what? I do it! Why? Because me, writing a sadist vampire doesnt make ME one.
There were Cordelia blogs running wild, doesn't mean the Muse did the same terrible things that Cordelia did. People need to learn to separate fiction and reality. Or are we forgetting about the canon/manga Laito that was encouraging Yui to 'hurt' herself? (S word here) Imagine wanting to make less of it by making Laito fluffy and lovey-dovey.
I am terribly sorry, but this character I write is a Canon one and with its own story to tell; hell, who knows me knows that I'm not a fan of any game past HDB and see them as one big AU. But for the sake of interaction and the fact that many people like MB-forward Shu more, and because Rejet has more power over DL and Shu than I ever will, ofc I act with it being as canon as HDB.
I have deleted so many asks, you can't judge us, muses, by the asks we do post. You don't know us, you don't know me. And I know there are people out there trying to sell me and others as the devil spawn and not worth our community support because of ONE day. If you just recently arrived in my blog, you don't have a saying to know why is my blog "big" or with so many support.
You don't know how many people have I opened my DMs so they could vent and talk, you don't know how many asks have I answered as Shu talking about body positivity, about sex.education, about support or simply about "love yourself". What you know about me, its me letting the fans that found the CD interesting let them come and vent about their knew discovery if so they wish for.
I would, more than happily, take a sit with each and everyone of you in my DMs so we can talk about things and then you can judge me for who I really am, not for who I am acting as.
Does someone knows my opinion on the CD? Someone knows if I liked it? Someone knows which is my favorite Drama CD? No... You all just know Shu does A, B, C, D and that I serve it as it is.
Few are the people that know me and know the AMOUNT OF asks I have deleted because was "too much for me" You came into my blog during a phase you don't like it -, there is an entire blog full of story behind you for you to scroll and see all this blog has done to help others. You only have to find in you courage to, maybe, notice you were not all that correct about judging me for who am I acting as.
If next CD to explode is about Shu playing sports, it will be 24h of me making Shu talk about sports and how to play them. Why? Because it is the character.
I, thank god, am a person that before pointing fingers at people and vomit my personal opinion, I try to reach out for them and talk to them.
I, thank god, have so much maturity to, at least, know there is a person behind a character.
My DMs are always open, for every and anyone, so please... Instead of sending Anon hate to others, or talk about others, feel free to come and, as humans beings, talk to us.
Half trues are still half lies. If you think you can judge me for 24h of scrolling through my blog, or for intwracting with my Character that I RP as, you are deadly wrong...
I invite you all to talk to me. Only us if you want, as civilized humans being. But don't act as if you know me and can judge me for the character I play.
I will have a Sesshoumaru askblog and, guess what? A complete different character with ZERO libido. So? What am I afterall? A Horny with no limits Vampire, or a Zero-Sexual-interest Demon Dog? Which of the extremes am I? Or am I both at same time?
Again... You don't know me, judge me for who I am, not for who I portrait
#dd#admin#peace#waiting for you all in my DMs#pls come#and lets talk our differences out#im not here to feed hate in the fandom#I will GLADLY listen

What would S boys be like if they had good father and mother figures?
Considering both nature, and nurture play into ones personality development, that’s hard to say. I believe they’d be drastically different, as all suffer with severe childhood trauma that shaped them into who they are in the series. Some core aspects of their personalities would be kept though. I’m gonna break down their childhoods, and how I think they’d grow up if things were different. This is gonna be my first analysis so I hope you guys enjoy reading it.
⚠️TW for physical, emotional, and sexual abuse⚠️
Shu - As a child, Shu was constantly pressured as the eldest son to surpass his father. For hundreds of years he would have to study, and barely got anytime to be a kid. When he did, it was always on his own merit. Running away, and seeking out his best friend Edgar, was how he got away from it all. (At least for a very brief portion of his life.) One thing after another, the things that brought him joy were stripped from him, including Edgar. Feeling trapped, he eventually stopped caring all together, and burnt out. His lazy persona was formed from depression, and trauma. That being said, his sluggish attitude, is the only aspect of his personality I can really see changing. Maybe the vampire would be less sadistic too? That’s hard to say, but perhaps if he continued making human friends, he wouldn’t look down on them so much. Having good parents as a vampire might mean that they belittle humans even more so who knows. His quiet nature would remain, but he wouldn’t be shy by any means. I think his “cool” personality is just how he is. His perverted side would also still be present. It’s worth noting that he’s the only brother who hates his parents, but doesn’t hold any kind of grudge. (Subaru doesn’t hate his mom, but would kill his father if the opportunity was available.)
Reiji - Reijis childhood was the complete opposite of his older brother. Instead of being hyper focused on, he was neglected. No matter what he did, nobody seemed to care for his achievements. The reason why Reiji is the most intelligent out of all his siblings, is because he never stopped trying to get attention by proving his capabilities. Even when he did get praised, it was in the form of backhanded compliments “You will make an excellent right hand man to your brother once he becomes king”. That inferiority complex of his, and hatred for his mother/older brother, would have never been there if he had good parents. Being raised in a loving home, I believe the good aspects of his personality would be cranked up, as opposed to the bad. He’d still be the most intelligent, but out of curiosity, and the need to learn more than anything. His ego would still be present a bit, especially when it comes to humans, but perhaps he’d be more snarky than sadistic? I can also see him being less strict, and more charming towards people. The character would be a little empathetic towards others, and not as detached from his family. Getting along with his brother would be in a playful competitive sense. I also lowkey see him being a mamas boy.
Ayato - Ayato has a similar upbringing to Shu, except his mother was extremely unstable, and downright cruel. Unlike the other two mothers, Cordelia didn’t care for her sons at all. He was a victim to beatings, and torment (I’m sure we all know the story of him being drowned in a lake). Ayato also witnessed Cordelias fits/breakdowns, (which often resulted in maids being killed before his very eyes) as well as her love affairs. The reason why she showed even a shred of regard for Ayato, was because he was the oldest of the triplets. The vampire was praised for things that made his mother look good, and proved he was the “best”. One of the ways narcissists are formed is from parental neglect, and only being praised when they do something worthy of acknowledgement. Which is why his whole character revolves around his need to be the best. If the vampire was raised by good parents, his egotism wouldn’t be present at all. He’d be a way more lighthearted character, and probably just a big loud dork. I’m sure he’d still be a jerk to some extent, but in a misfit kind of a sense. He seems playful at heart, and stubborn in nature. Perhaps he’d be a bit of a heart breaker amongst ladies, or absolutely terrible at picking up chicks. I wholeheartedly believe his personality was mostly formed via “nurture”, but if he wasn’t as strong of a character emotionally, would he have made it out the same?
Laito - Laitos upbringing is different from that of his brothers. While he was neglected, and traumatized from witnessing things no kid should have, the abuse he went through didn’t occur until he was a teenager. At a certain age (unclear), Cordelia began abusing him sexually, and warped his viewpoint on love. His only purpose was to please her sexually, which completely fucked him up. While he always knew it was wrong, Laito was manipulated into believing that he loved his mother as a partner. When Karl Heinz found out, he locked Laito in a dungeon as punishment. Nobody was there to comfort, or acknowledge him as a victim. Instead, Cordelia had sex in front of Laito, and told her son that he was nothing more than a play toy. He continued the cycle of abuse once the incestuous relationship ended. His whole persona is fake, it’s a means to bury all his trauma deep down. With all that being said, Laito would be an entirely different person if he was raised by loving parents. Instead of being this abusive asshole, he’d be a more soft spoken, chill, and nice person. Maybe a little flirtatious, but unintentionally so. I highly doubt he’d be nearly as sadistic, or brutal when it comes to humans, as he didn’t even enjoy taking advantage of his first victim, Hilde (a maid). His hobbies might also be a focus for him, as he wouldn’t be constantly trying to fill up his time by preying on people. Perhaps being a legendary pianist? He’d definitely be closer to his brothers as well, and give them advice more often. His perceptive, and sharp people reading skills would still be there.
Kanato - Kanato has always been needy, and attention seeking. Instead of trying to get his mothers attention by proving his capabilities, he would often times beg for it, or hurt himself. Most of his childhood was spent being neglected. Even if he sustained really bad injuries, Cordelia would ignore him, or request one of the servants take care of it. She disregarded him, until it was discovered that he could sing. His mother was turned on by his voice, and requested that Kanato sing while she was having intercourse. Since he was exposed to sex at a young age, his view on lust/love is very warped, just like Laito. Not nearly as much, but he believes forcing himself onto others is normal. Women are lustful creatures who always want it, in his eyes. (This explains why he forces himself onto Yui the most out of all his brothers.) Cordelia would also order Kanato to dispose of her affairs once she was bored, or if they caused trouble. His mother approved of him turning them into dolls, which is why he continued doing it for hundreds of years. If he had a normal upbringing, Kanato wouldn’t be as broken, and deranged as he is. His mood swings, and extremely sadistic nature wouldn’t be there. I believe he’d be quite timid, and a bit bratty if raised with good parents. He’d throw tantrums sometimes if he didn’t get what he wanted, but not have full blown episodes. I think he also wouldn’t hate women, and humans nearly as much as he does. Kanato is a sensitive person at heart who needs love.
Subaru - Subaru had a lonely, and isolated childhood. He did experience brief moments of tenderly love from his mother, but it was usually followed by Christa breaking down, and screaming at him. His low self esteem is rooted in his mother calling him a monster his entire life. Because Christa was locked away, dealing with her own mental deterioration, Subaru looked after himself. Never did he get validation or approval from anybody. With no siblings to turn to, or father to look to for guidance, he became extremely destructive. Taking his anger out on objects was the only way he could remain sane with a sickly mother. I’m sure there’s been instances where he punched, or beat, brides/servants, as sad as that is to say. I wouldn’t doubt it, since he has said he’s blind during moments or rage, and can easily hurt others if they’re around him when he’s like this. If Subaru had even one good parental figure he’d be different. He’d still be sadistic, but able to control his anger/emotions way better. His horrible self image wouldn’t be there either, and maybe he’d take pride in himself more. I think he’d also pick up hobbies, or be involved in sports, as opposed to being a delinquent. It said in his part of the anniversary book that he actually enjoys exercising, and likes his body sometimes, because he works out. Without a doubt he’d still be an awkward goof, and a tsundere at times. Probably known around the school for having cute reactions as opposed to being scary.
Whew that was long, if you read even a sliver of that Ily (っ◔︣◡◔᷅)っ ❤

The Vampire Muses. Keep in mind reading the wiki was the best source of information I could get for a majority of these characters since I can’t get my hands on the games.
Ayato Sakamaki:
Age: 16
The attention whore seeker
Likes: Takoyaki and pranking people.
Hates: Water. Ghosts/Ghost stories.
In his childhood, his mother would strictly force him into studying so he could succeed as the heir to the Sakamaki line. Often threatening him or giving him deathly punishments when he didn’t meet her expectations. This would lead to his slight fear of water, as one of the punishments involved her shoving him in a lake to drown until she decided that he should have learned something from it.
The only triplet who is left handed. Would rather play sports like basketball than sit down and study. Consumes an abundant amount of Takoyaki. His hobbies involve Basketball, glorifying himself as ‘Yours Truly’, and collecting Medieval torture chamber items as decorations for his room. (the deadly parts of them removed for when he decides to sleep in them.)
Fear him on April 1st, for he WILL find a way in pranking someone. Anyone. Once he finds a way to prank someone, he WILL take the opportunity.
Other notes: He insists on referring to himself as “Yours Truly”/Ore-sama (in Japanese it basically translates to a masculine word for ‘me/I’ with the honorific meaning ‘master’)
Total rebel. Also a bit of a tsundere but not as much as Subaru. Like the rest of his siblings, he has a hard time opening up to people. He’s closest sibling is Laito. But he also has a protective nature over Kanato.
Headcanons: Possibly a Pansexual. Will trick/prank all of his siblings at least once per year.
Romances: He’ll want your full attention and admiration. He’ll want your praise and approval. He’s been made to believe that he had to be the best or he was better off cast aside and dead in a lake somewhere. He fears rejection.
Kanato Sakamaki:
Age: 16 (believe it or not)
The tantrum brat/ “hysteric”
Likes: Teddy and Sweets. (And Attention)
Hates: Bitter and Spicy things. When people hold Teddy without his permission. When people do ANYTHING without his permission.
Since childhood, he has spent most of his time all by himself with only Teddy to confide in as his only trusted ally. His mother would only give him attention when telling him to sing for her, finding his voice to “warm her up” (she really messed him up by having him sing while she had her affairs. How can a kids singing arouse her? What the heck was wrong with her? What the hay? Why did she force him to do that until his vocal cords bled? How the fudge sundae?)
Other: he’s a mix of a tsundere AND a yandere, quite a deadly combination.
Headcanon: he is asexual but because of how he was raised, thinks that one HAS to enter sex at some point. Witnessing a lot of his mothers sexual affairs led him to believing that he had to give them pleasure. One of the efforts involved combing their hair. Her mothers influence has led him to believe that all women are selfish and always desires sex. If they don’t, then he sees them as prudes or just shy. He’s been left alone for so long that he was left to the mercy of his already messed up thoughts. He has a certain belief of how his little world should be and hates it when the things around him never fit in that world.
Romances: He bites and punishes hard, but his kisses are always gentle. No matter if he’s angry or not. Never will he bite someone on the lips. Since he was left alone to play with his dolls more than his brothers, he enjoys comparing those he is fond of as dolls rather than people.
Laito Sakamaki:
Age: 16 (believe it or not he is NOT a clone of Ayato or a slightly grown up version of him)
The manwhore
Likes: fancy things. Macarons. Crossword Puzzles
Hates: bugs and creepy crawlies. (I’m going to have TOO much fun with this)
*breathes* the insufferable “pervert’, as everyone ‘knows’ him as. He often seduces women and ‘gives them pleasure’ in his own sadistic ways. As this was the only way he could express ‘love’. (seriously their mother messed all of them up. I don’t know exactly how old he was when she started going after him for an incestuous ‘love affair’. It’s gross. And he didn’t like it. But because he was the most neglected of the trio in his childhood, this was the only form of attention she ever gave to him, and he was made to believe that this was ‘good’. It’s a really messed up situation.) He’s the most social and cheerful of the Sakamakis.
Headcanons: He knows how to speak French, being known as the ‘romantic language’, he took an interest in it in an attempt to be more flirtatious. But during this journey into learning the French language, he discovered Macarons. Which became a genuine favorite of his. He believes that his pervert facade is real and will get offended if someone states it otherwise.
He’s bisexual, but due to the environment around him (andespeciallyhowhismothermessedhimup) was made to believe that people can only be attracted to the opposite sex
Romances: He’s a giver more than a receiver, but he likes being in control of what goes on. All he knows is sex, he doesn’t understand what love is other than that. (their mother truly messed them up. But he’ll put up a mask and think there’s nothing wrong. Even though he still doesn’t know why there are times where he doesn’t ALWAYS like having sex.)
Subaru Sakamaki:
Age: 16
The Tsundere badboy.
Likes: bread.
Hates: social interactions. Roses (specifically white ones. This came as a surprise since he’s always in the rose garden.)
Due to a… LOT of emotions bottling up since he was a kid, he has a tendency in lashing out and punching inanimate objects in order to process his festering anger.
He’s the only one who had even a small- or even a semblance- of a healthy bond with his mother, but she became mentally unstable and had to be locked up in a tower (Rapunzel?) there would be times where she would have ‘episodes’ and only he was able to handle them. This warped his gentle nature into a more protective self, and as time went on, into a festering wrath. This only worsened after she pleaded for him to kill her. Hence the knife that he is often seen holding. One that is able to kill vampires.
He gets irritated easily. He doesn’t have any hobbies. He spends most of his time either looking at the rose garden or hermit it up in his coffin (he sometimes adds things to make it feel more comfortable.) He’d much rather stay in a coffin than attend anything.
Notes: his mother used to sing him to sleep when he was a child. (absolutely adorable) He was the only vampire to give Yui a chance of escaping, even giving her his silver knife to defend herself. Maybe even kill him if needed.
Headcanons: He doesn’t have taste. He likes bread okay because of the texture, but his tongue can’t even recognize sour things. This might be caused by his mother having poisoned him at some point and had a lasting effect? But highly unlikely because of vampire regeneration properties.
Yet another left handed boi.
Kou Mukami
Age:17
The Two-Faced model
Likes: cats. Dancing.
Hates: pain.
This pretty boy has had... quite an unfortunate life. Thanks to the horrible events that took place in his childhood, Kou views the world as a ‘give and take’ view. And it will be quite a while before anyone can change that world view. Because of this, he will often portray a friendly, cheerful, and complimentary personality. But he will always expect something in return for his behavior and ‘gifts’. If he gives a bouquets of roses, he expects something to make up for it in return.
He has a job as a model and is often surrounded by girls at the night school he attends regularly. Which he doesn’t particularly care for. (He is literally the only one in the family with a job.)
Major Trigger warning here: He was raped as a child. Don’t tell me he wasn’t, what the crap did those people DO to him? They hurt him even when he gouged out his own eye in a desperate attempt to make himself flawed so they would leave him alone. But that didn’t work and somehow they saw that as making him more desirable? He has nightmares often because of this and will cling to whatever is around him in an attempt to hide from the horror of reaching hands. He often clings tot he things around him every night because of these reoccurring night terrors. He was given a glass eye that allows him to see people’s true intentions.
Headcanons: He has an immaculate hunger and can- and WILL- eat more than his fair share if those around him aren’t careful. Guard your food while he’s around!
Notes: another left handed boy.
Azusa Mukami:
Age: 17
The ONLY option for a Masochistic boy.
Likes: collecting knives is his hobby
Dislikes: neglect and being hated.
As a child, he wandered the street with no real purpose. Thanks to a group of children who thrived in beating him, he believed that his only self worth was to be used for pain. Hence he has grown a fascination of it. Whether it is to give or receive pain, Azusa is there for it. He’s slow in movement as well as talking. Often seen spacing out. But is probably the only sweet-heart of a vampire in the entire show. If a little pushy at times.
He names his limbs after the children who had injured them enough to leave scars, since they were killed and he was left without a purpose once again. This was before he was sent to a orphanage and met Ruki, Yuma, and Kou who became his family.
Notes: his hobby is collecting knives. (Yet another left handed boy.) He is ‘weak against heat’ (I imagine he melts into sleep like a cat when finding this out) he is able to fall asleep standing up. (that’s pretty impressive)
Headcanons: He’s a very respectable boy and often speaks mostly in respect. Albeit a little pushy at times. His brothers often worry about him and have to make sure that he eats enough at their breakfast, Lunch, and dinner, since he doesn’t do a good job in taking care of himself.

Aye just wanted to say, (not bein’ hostile, just thought I’d offer my two cents since ya put the ask in the general dl tag) in Shu’s first drama cd, I gotta admit the reader/listener instigated the fiasco like I get it’s partially up to perspective on what’s going on since you can’t hear the reader/listener, but the constant grabbing/preventing him from leaving was borderline CREEPY in itself. Not defending Shu but the reader felt mad creepy themselves :\
Ok, I'm gonna be real here. This is full-on victim blaming. This is the kind of shit people say like "not defending him, but you shouldn't have been dressed like that" when blaming a rape victim. It does not matter AT ALL what Yui/the listener/whatever you want to call her did. She is a kidnap victim, one that is going to act irrationally because she is in a situation she can't control. It doesn't EVER matter what her behavior is because SHE IS THE VICTIM in this. And by perpetuating this kind of mindset where you find reasons to find fault with the victim, you FURTHER victimize her. She doesn't deserve any of the blame for her own victimization. What Shuu did to her was beyond cruel, something no one ever deserves, no matter what. Not even if her behavior was creepy. She could have done everything "right" in your eyes, and Shuu still would have been cruel because that's what he is: a sadist. He takes pleasure in causing pain. He would have caused her pain no matter what.
You really need to evaluate why you have this mindset, like some serious self-reflection. Are you so uncomfortable with Shuu being a sadist that you'd assign blame to the people he hurts? Are you unable to accept all facets of his personality? Do you just want to see a fluffy Shuu and have a hard time accepting his abuse? Because the way you offset blame from him to Yui is quite disturbing. You "say" you aren't excusing his behavior, but no that's exactly what you are doing.
And yeah I put that ask in the DL tag because that's the kind of content I want to see and I know there are other people who do too. I enjoy the dark sides of the brothers. I appreciate that the game was made for those of us that like this dark and twisted stuff, the way the series actually is.

Laito Sakamaki
Permissions
Shipping? Yes, but extremely difficult if you’re aiming for something more than physical. I will not count “physical relationships” as a genuine ship, so Laito will wander around and be with whomever he wishes until/unless he settles on a particular person, Yui or otherwise. Singleship per verse with limited verses. Please note - as stated on the rules page, orientation is typically listed as what the muses think they are.
Duplicates? Multiple ‘Yuis’? What about character that aren’t on the dedicated castmates list? Yes. You can thrust Laito at Laito. There’s also no issue with duplicates of canon, crossover, etc. characters that Laito is already interacting with. You want it, you got it. To prevent destroying the validity of duplicate muses, I will sometimes think of things as ‘A Kanato did this’ instead of ‘Kanato did this’, which is a very subtle difference but prevents another muse from having to deal with the blame of an event they were not responsible for. This will only be differentiated as necessary within writing. I repeat: all duplicate muses will be treated with respect, not as ‘fakes’. Any Sakamaki brother is a brother of his, regardless of how many Kanatos there are (for example). We’re just going to, uh, slide past that as often as possible (and occasionally make jokes).
Multiple Laitos will be treated as though they’d somehow wandered into one’s world or the other via some enchanted, strange object or doorway in the Sakamaki household. This allows them to interact, but prevents the concept that one is a ‘true’ Laito over the other. I do not necessarily recommend having two of them meet if there’s a Yui present. Ideas may arise. You have been warned.
Fighting? A-Okay, but Laito will probably run away, avoid, escape, etc. unless there’s a real need. He prefers nonviolent confrontations. I’ve done a lot of fighting roleplay but it was in the past and I’m way more interested in the storytelling of it. It’s better that we discuss the end result beforehand for smoother sailing, but we can improv it as well.
Harming? A-Okay! Just be aware that this muse may harm or kill yours in turn!
Killing? A-Okay! Please be aware, however, that should the need or desire to continue the verse arise, the death scene will be considered a what-if. In addition, it is very difficult to kill this muse due to the pureblood resurrection abilities.
Can we send shippy memes / etc.? Sure, we can still explore what-ifs, drabbles and oneshot threads, but the main focus will be on the storyline here!
Can we know Yui has Cordelia’s heart, is possibly turning into a vampire, is surrounded by vampires, etc. and reference this to Laito? On a case-by-case basis. It should be discovered organically if it’s not something your character would be able to know already. There’s plenty of situations where this would make sense.
Can we know about Laito’s past before interacting? No, not unless you have genuine reasons for it like being one of his brothers.
Can we have characters comment on the events of the timeline? Yes, if they “catch sight of”, “overhear a rumor”, “a familiar saw X”, or any other sensible reason, then characters can be aware of and comment on events. I wholly encourage characters participate in Laito’s life! Please tell the story with me!
Can we rescue Yui Komori from the Sakamaki household? Unlikely. At best, if you succeed in the first place, it’s entirely likely that they will find you, they will take Yui back, and they will kill one or both of you for this. Or the Mukamis might take advantage of the situation! Obviously, the exception here is the Mukamis, who are entirely expected to attempt this from time to time.
Can we reference interactions we’ve had with your Kanato, etc. to Laito? I mean...sure? If you want? I’m fine with using my muses for plot and timeline advancements for myself and those I interact with (within limits) but I’d also prefer to not be my Kanato’s Laito and vice versa, so this would probably be limited. You can still act like what’s happened has happened, though.

Appearance
[*Credit: Appearance section pulled directly from the Dialovers Wiki.]
Laito has shoulder-length reddish-brown hair, with lighter blondish color to the tips, a mole on the right side of his chin and green eyes just like his triplet brother Ayato. He has fair skin and is usually seen in a pose where he holds the tip of his hat as it looks like he is trying to pull it down. He has a slender figure and is often seen smirking. He has two piercings on his left ear.
In HAUNTED DARK BRIDAL, Laito’s casual wear is usually an unzipped blue hoodie with white cuffed sleeves over a striped sweater with sleeves that almost cover his hands and a white dress shirt with a red tie. He wears it with brown pants along with his hat that has a red ribbon around it.
In MORE, BLOOD, Laito wears a dress shirt with a grey vest and two scarves, one white and one black. He wears this with black pants and his signature fedora hat.
His uniform consists of the black uniform jacket over a red jacket that has fur bordering the hood. Under that is a white dress shirt with a skinny black tie. He wears black pants that go only to his knees and his signature hat.
Personality
Infamously, Laito is perverted. He’s been suspended from school multiple times over his perverse behavior. Despite his masochistic-seeming tendencies, Laito is a ‘Do-S’ and extreme sadist like all his brothers. Though his methods may, at a glance, seem far softer than some of his brothers, he is extremely sexually aggressive and manipulates the mindset of others’ based on his whims. If he distresses someone too much and picks up on it, he may either fully break the individual or turn soft for their next engagement, ensuring the person is clinging to the nicer, lovelier moments together.
Cheerful, playful and friendly, Laito adores teasing and messing with others, especially Yui. He enjoys others watching him tease an individual. He enjoys watching other people bite and mess with Yui, but ultimately turns possessive and jealous over it.
History
CHILDHOOD. The oldest triplet by birth order, the triplets consider each others’ ages via an old tradition where the last one to be born in a multiple birth is the oldest. Thus, Laito is treated as the youngest triplet and, in addition, the fifth son of the Sakamakis. When Laito was a child, Cordelia had no purpose for him and ignored him even more than Kanato, whose voice she at least appreciated. Though he tended to be a softer, more sensitive boy, he would often play with the louder Ayato and the temperamental Kanato when the opportunity arose. More often than not, he was left to his own devices and felt truly unloved and neglected.
Once he was “old enough” (by Cordelia’s standards apparently), Cordelia began an incestuous relationship between them. This went on for quite some time until Karlheinz found out about it and tossed Laito into the dungeon. When Cordelia went to see him, Laito thought he was someone precious to her and that she wanted to rescue him. Instead, she showed him her “love” for Richter while he watched, forcing Laito to see that he was never special to her among all the other men in her life. Unfortunately, their “relationship” continued even after he was freed and Laito was unable to see her actions as anything but cheating on him. He frequently murdered her lovers but was forced to promise that he would not kill Richter. The ongoing stress of being forced into sexual situations (witnessing his mother’s acts with others, etc.) that he did not necessarily desire and his mother’s inconsistent behavior towards him led to Laito growing into a pervert with a very warped understanding of “love”.
Eventually, Cordelia was attacked by Ayato and came to Laito for help. Rather than harm Ayato or allow Cordelia her wish to be killed “by the only man she loved” (his father), he pushed her off the balcony so that he could keep her to himself for eternity.
NEAR CURRENT. Karlheinz manipulated circumstances to keep tossing experimental sacrificial brides at his children. None could endure the blood loss, physical and emotional torment. The sacrificial brides were too fragile and the Sakamakis broke their toys.
CURRENT. A single sacrificial bride is surviving and enduring: Yui Komori. Whichever brother obtains her will become the Sakamaki heir. Without directly entering into a “relationship” with any of the Sakamakis, she endures her stay there.
Verses
Brief summaries of the verses for Laito along with potential links for those less familiar with Diabolik Lovers but still want to interact with him. For the sake of keeping things clean, encouraging community-wide and cooperative storytelling in roleplay, and not letting things get too crazy, verses will be limited. More may be made over time as needed.
Summaries:
| DL Anime | DL More Blood Anime | Haunted Dark Bridal | More Blood | (Coming Soon)
VERSE - HAUNTED DARK BRIDAL
*This verse will be typically be the default, 'main verse'. In this, it is assumed that Yui Komori is staying at the Sakamaki household with some version of the first game having taken place. If the second game is included, it's with the idea that Yui stayed with the Sakamakis. Whether Laito or one of his brothers winds up obtaining the Sacrificial Bride, Laito’s life continues.
Verse Details | Tag: #V; LAITO; HAUNTED DARK BRIDAL
VERSE - MORE BLOOD
If for some reason it's absolutely necessary to differentiate between the verse above and a verse where More Blood has certainly occured, but Yui did not (at least initially) stay with the Sakamakis and instead is currently living with the Mukamis or was, until recently, still living with the Mukamis. Rivalry abounds and attempts to procure Yui are likely.
Verse Details | Tag: #V; LAITO; MORE BLOOD
VERSE - MISC.
Posts that could take place in the Sakamaki or Mukami verses but involve duplicates (whether Yui or others) in the same scene in a manner that would be hard to pass off as typical flow for those verses. Also includes nearly ANY time fellow characters are staying at the mansion, otherwise we’d end up with verses of 20+ additional characters hanging out in the Sakamaki villa.
Verse Details | Tag:#V; LAITO; MISC
SITUATIONAL VERSE TAGS
#V; LAITO; UNIVERSAL
Posts that can easily be assumed to have occured in either the Sakamaki or Mukami verses, typically answering asks, etc. that aren’t directly related to events unique to their timelines.
#V; LAITO; WHAT IFS & #V; LAITO; ONESHOTS
Likely reserved for one-off threads exploring a “what if”, a romantic meme that would otherwise be inappropriate, etc. If a meme doesn’t quite fit with one of the existing timelines, it’ll get one of these.

Anime for Halloween
I should have posted this before my movies list. But hell, It’s here now and Y’all can binge-watch over the next month. But little disclaimer. These are anime I have seen and ones I associate with Halloween because they have to do with something from the holiday. So anything with Vampires, witches, demons, etc. Anything I got a Halloween-y vibe from. This list is gonna be kind of long. Now time for me to suffer typing it and yall to get an idea from reading it.
<<<<>>>>
Title
Synopsis
My thoughts on the Anime
Everything in bold is strictly my opinion. Agree to disagree with me, and put down your own opinion in repost or in the comments but be respectful. Rude or anything of the sort will be deleted or reported depending on the severity.
<<<<>>>>
07-Ghost
Teito Klein, a student at the academy, is one of the most promising soldiers produced. Although ridiculed by everyone for being a sklave (German for slave) with no memories of his past, he is befriended by a fellow student called Mikage. While preparing for the final exam, Teito uncovers a dark secret related to his past. When an attempt to assassinate Ayanami, a high-ranking official who killed his father, fails, Teito is locked away awaiting punishment.
This one is religious, HOWEVER, Demons and the Gods of Death kinda make it more Halloween-y so :p Also as a side note; It’s only subbed so all y’all who prefer dub are gonna be disappointed.
Ancient Magus Bride
Chise Hatori, a 15-year-old Japanese girl, was sold for five million pounds at an auction to a tall masked gentleman. Abandoned at a young age and ridiculed by her peers for her unconventional behavior, she was ready to give herself to any buyer if it meant having a place to go home to. In chains and on her way to an unknown fate, she hears whispers from robed men along her path, gossiping and complaining that such a buyer got his hands on a rare "Sleigh Beggy." Ignoring the murmurs, the mysterious man leads the girl to a study, where he reveals himself to be Elias Ainsworth—a magus. After a brief confrontation and a bit of teleportation magic, the two open their eyes to Elias' picturesque cottage in rural England. Greeted by fairies and surrounded by weird and wonderful beings upon her arrival, these events mark the beginning of Chise's story as the apprentice and supposed bride of the ancient magus.
I love this one so much. My only issue is what would have made it more Halloween inspired would have been if they’s gone through Samhain and not skipped straight to Yule. BUT monsters, mages, witches, alchemists, and fae make this anime perfect for magic inspire Halloween watch.
Another
In 1972, a popular student in Yomiyama North Middle School's class 3-3 named Misaki passed away during the school year. Since then, the town of Yomiyama has been shrouded by a fearful atmosphere, from the dark secrets hidden deep within.
Horror, horror, horror and gore. Enjoy this with friends and family who have a strong stomach and are old enough to not get scared. The deaths are absolutely horrific and it takes place all around a middle school class. (Read the novel, of the same name, it’s based off if you dare)
Ao no Exorcist
Humans and demons are two sides of the same coin, as are Assiah and Gehenna, their respective worlds. The only way to travel between the realms is by the means of possession, like in ghost stories. However, Satan, the ruler of Gehenna, cannot find a suitable host to possess and therefore, remains imprisoned in his world. In a desperate attempt to conquer Assiah, he sends his son instead, intending for him to eventually grow into a vessel capable of possession by the demon king.
Anyone who’s been around anime long enough knows or knows of this anime. Who wouldn’t have added this into their Halloween Anime list? It has to do with Demons and the Son of Satan.
Black Butler
Young Ciel Phantomhive is known as "the Queen's Guard Dog," taking care of the many unsettling events that occur in Victorian England for Her Majesty. Aided by Sebastian Michaelis, his loyal butler with seemingly inhuman abilities, Ciel uses whatever means necessary to get the job done. But is there more to this black-clad butler than meets the eye?
Classic as well. Don’t forget the movies and season 3. We don’t speak of season 2 0.0″ Also the manga has taken a VERY dark turn as of recent so if you’re looking for reading material, there you go.
Blood-C
Peaceful schoolgirl by day, fearsome monster slayer by night, Saya Kisaragi is leading a split life. Equipped with a ceremonial sword given to her by her father for sacred tasks, she vanquishes every monster who dares threaten her quiet little village. But all too soon, Saya's reality and everything she believes to be true is tested, when she overhears the monsters speak of a broken covenant—something she knows nothing about. And then, unexpectedly, a strange dog appears; it asks her to whom she promised to protect the village, curious as to what would happen if she were to break that promise. Tormented by unexplainable visions and her world unraveling around her, we travel with Saya through her struggle to find a way to the truth in a village where nothing is as it seems.
Another very gory anime. Children, please do avoid.
Bloodivores
60 years ago, a strange case of insomnia struck the population, forcing them to stay awake for more than a full week. The victims, completely sleep deprived, all went mad. To cure this illness, a new medicine was produced, but the side effects turned the patients into vampires. Humanity went to war against this new species and triumphed, but some of the vampires managed to survive. Born from a Human and a Vampire, the main character Mi Liu, "The Child of Hope," is to represent the new hope that will connect the two species. Ringleader of a bank robbery, Mi Liu is arrested and transferred to a special prison of the National Defense Agency that monitors Vampires.
Genetically created vampires. Need I say more?
Blood Lad
Staz Charlie Blood is a powerful vampire who rules the Eastern district of Demon World. According to rumors, he is a bloodthirsty and merciless monster, but in reality, Staz is just an otaku obsessed with Japanese culture and completely uninterested in human blood. Leaving the management of his territory to his underlings, Staz spends his days lazing around, indulging in anime, manga, and games.
A vampire otaku... Thank you, this is exactly what I needed.
D.Gray-Man
Losing a loved one is so painful that one may sometimes wish to be able to resurrect them—a weakness that the enigmatic Millennium Earl exploits. To make his mechanical weapons known as "Akuma," he uses the souls of the dead that are called back. Once a soul is placed in an Akuma, it is trapped forever, and the only way to save them is to exorcise them from their vessel using the Anti-Akuma weapon, "Innocence."
*Piece of advice. D. Gray-Man the first series was not finished in Dub if you’re one who prefers Dub. So heading into D. Gray-Man Hollow, you’ll be confused as hell. It’s best to just watch Sub so you don’t have to worry about missing a huge chunk of info.
But if you like anime about demons and exorcists there’s more than just Blue Exorcist. This one I suggest because it’s phenomenal, but that’s personal opinion XD
Dance with Devils
Ritsuka Tachibana has always been a good student, so she is completely shocked when she is suddenly summoned by the student council. Even more, they seem to think of Ritsuka as a troublemaker. Led by the handsome Rem Kaginuki, the student council—also consisting of Urie Sogami, Shiki Natsumizaka, and Mage Nanashiro—tries to question her, but it soon becomes clear that they have ulterior motives.
This is one based off an Otome (Dating game) so try YT for gameplay if you wanna see the whole story. Yet another about demons and exorcists, but this time there are vampires and Cerberus added to the mix. Plus for those who know-how Otome heroines are basically pushovers, this one has a strong-willed girl as our protagonist. Thank you, Ritsuka for breaking the mold T/\T
Diabolik Lovers
At the behest of her father, Yui Komori goes to live in a secluded mansion, home to the six Sakamaki brothers—Shuu, Reiji, Ayato, Kanato, Laito, and Subaru—a family of vampires. Though at first the siblings are confused as to why the girl has arrived, they soon realize that she is to be their new "sacrificial bride," not to mention their other, more carnal intentions for her. After meeting the brothers, Yui quickly begins to question why her father would have sent her here and why she feels a strange, new pain in her chest. With each brother more sadistic than the last, Yui's life as a captive takes a harrowing turn in her new home. As her days turn into endless nights, and each brother vows to make her his own, Yui falls deeper and deeper into madness and ecstasy.
Otome with like 4? games, try YT for gameplay. I’m a little sad that it only has two seasons and the episodes are like 13-15 minutes long. Still, if you like Otome based games, you’ve most likely seen this. DO NOT EXPECT VANILLA ROMANCE. THIS IS NOT A FUN RIDE IF YOU EXPECT THAT.
Death Note
A shinigami, as a god of death, can kill any person—provided they see their victim's face and write their victim's name in a notebook called a Death Note. One day, Ryuk, bored by the shinigami lifestyle and interested in seeing how a human would use a Death Note, drops one into the human realm.
Classic... But not my personal cup of tea. I added it because it’s a salute to one of my dear friends.
Little Witch Academia
"A believing heart is your magic!"—these were the words that Atsuko "Akko" Kagari's idol, the renowned witch Shiny Chariot, said to her during a magic performance years ago. Since then, Akko has lived by these words and aspired to be a witch just like Shiny Chariot, one that can make people smile. Hence, even her non-magical background does not stop her from enrolling in Luna Nova Magical Academy.
This one is just cute and intense. Witches are starting to die out but one girl wants desperately to be a witch like her idol was. I love how this brings in witchy elements and some fairy tale elements.
Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist
The story revolves around William, an aristocratic family's progeny with rare intellect. One day, his uncle lost his possessions after his business failed. Fearing that his family's name has been tarnished, William returns home and searches with his family's butler for anything that can be converted into cash. A search of the premises yields an underground room left by an ancestor. In the room is a magical seal, and William unintentionally summons a devil. The summoned devil tells William his name Dantalion and reveals that William is the designator who can choose the acting ruler of the demon world.
If realists were like William, I think the world would be on fire. The poor people that have to deal with him. At least most of them are demons, maybe that will knock his head into gear... right?
Miira No Kaikata
High school student Sora Kashiwagi is accustomed to receiving bizarre presents from his father, who is on an expedition around the world. Unfortunately, these gifts have been nothing but nightmares. As a result, when his father sends him a huge package from Egypt, Sora prepares himself for the worst, only to be greeted by Mii-kun—a cute, pint-sized mummy! While initially wary, Sora soon learns that Mii-kun is harmless, a delicate creature yearning for attention.
I can understand people who don’t like horror or gore. I was there once. So here’s a cute anime about a boy and his pet mummy. Sanrio really did a great job turning the manga, which was darker than the anime, into something so cute and so wholesome.
Mirai Nikki
Lonely high school student, Yukiteru Amano, spends his days writing a diary on his cellphone while conversing with his two seemingly imaginary friends Deus Ex Machina, who is the god of time and space, and Murmur, the god's servant. Revealing himself to be an actual entity, Deus grants Yukiteru a "Random Diary," which shows highly descriptive entries based on the future and forces him into a bloody battle royale with 11 other holders of similarly powerful future diaries.
I have no word on this.
Owari no Seraph
With the appearance of a mysterious virus that kills everyone above the age of 13, mankind becomes enslaved by previously hidden, power-hungry vampires who emerge in order to subjugate society with the promise of protecting the survivors, in exchange for donations of their blood.
The Apocolypse starts and vampires rule the world. I dunno if that sounds like heaven or hell for me? But in this world, it would certainly be hell. Vampires rule the world but that doesn't mean the humans are gone. An army rises to protect what’s left from the bloodsuckers. And did I mention demons? Along with the concept of corrupt angels? Oh yeah, that’s gotta be hell on earth.
Pandora Hearts
To young Oz Vessalius, heir to the Vessalius Duke House, the perilous world called the Abyss is nothing more than a folktale used to scare misbehaving children. However, when Oz's coming-of-age ceremony is interrupted by the malicious Baskerville Clan intent on banishing him into the depths of the Abyss, the Vessalius heir realizes that his peaceful life of luxury is at its end. Now, he must confront the world of the Abyss and its dwellers, the monstrous "Chains," which are both not quite as fake as he once believed.
I couldn't have found a better gif for this anime. It’s Alice in Wonderland inspired but with a much darker twist than what Disney gave us (and yes I do mean both the original and the Tim Burton version). Enjoy this one because it’s not all dark there is humor to break up the heart-wrenching. But don’t expect it to always be comical.
Phantom in the Twilight
Set in modern-day London, the story takes place in a world where "Shadows" are born from human fear and anxiety. A young girl arrives to study abroad, only to be caught in a bizarre incident as she enters university. In a city with no acquaintances, the helpless girl wanders into "Café Forbidden," a mysterious café that exclusively opens at midnight. She meets an assortment of handsome men employed at the café, where guardians who protect the boundary between humans and shadow convene
Vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and even demons; this one would be great for Halloween. I will admit though, it’s lackluster considering these guys are supposed to be Dracula, the Wolfman, and so on. It might be someone’s cup of tea, just not everyone’s
Rosario to Vampire
Youkai Academy is a seemingly normal boarding school, except that its pupils are monsters learning to coexist with humans. All students attend in human form and take normal academic subjects, such as literature, gym, foreign language, and mathematics. However, there is one golden rule at Youkai Academy—all humans found on school grounds are to be executed immediately!
I couldn’t get through this one. I’m not gonna lie. It was basically light hentai and I’m not into that kinda stuff, but I feel like someone would have called me out for it not being here so T-T
Servamp
Mahiru Shirota firmly believes that simple is best and troublesome things should be avoided at all costs. It is troublesome to do nothing and regret it later—and this ideology has led the 15-year-old to pick up a stray cat on his way home from school. As he affectionately names the feline Kuro, little does he know that this chance meeting will spark an extraordinary change in his everyday life.
I’m gonna be completely honest, the manga was better. I love the anime don’t get me wrong. I’ve rewatched it many times. But it cut out so much from the manga. So as an anime, watch it first before reading the manga, then go back and nitpick. If you do it the other way around you may be more disappointed.
Soul Eater
Death City is home to the famous Death Weapon Meister Academy, a technical academy headed by the Shinigami—Lord Death himself. Its mission: to raise "Death Scythes" for the Shinigami to wield against the many evils of their fantastical world. These Death Scythes, however, are not made from physical weapons; rather, they are born from human hybrids who have the ability to transform their bodies into Demon Weapons, and only after they have consumed the souls of 99 evil beings and one witch's soul. This one is perfect for Halloween with it’s dark but funny themes. If you prefer the cutesier stuff like I do sometimes try Soul Eater NOT! The concept of soul-eating monsters and a school that teaches teens to fight and destroy them, A+ content. Plus some of those teens turn into actual weapons. Where is my sign up sheet? I would gladly take that over normal boring high school. Also add the grim reaper into the mix then give him a funny voice and disposition. Gold I tell ya.
Togainu no Chi
In the wake of a third world war that left Japan in ruins, an organization known as Vischio seized control of Tokyo and renamed it Toshima. Taking place in its back alleys are battle games known as Igura, overseen by the Vischio, in which contestants battle and bathe in each other's blood to earn the chance to go up against its tournament's king, Il-re.
This one is for all my lovely fujoshi/fudanshi peoples. It’s a dark anime and based off a rated M, BL Otome. Sinners welcome.
Tokyo Ghoul
Tokyo has become a cruel and merciless city—a place where vicious creatures called “ghouls” exist alongside humans. The citizens of this once great metropolis live in constant fear of these bloodthirsty savages and their thirst for human flesh. However, the greatest threat these ghouls pose is their dangerous ability to masquerade as humans and blend in with society.
This one is mainstream for a reason. It’s a good story, anime or manga. Mainly manga. Anyway, I haven’t seen Re yet, but I’ve heard it’s sheit. Still gonna watch it though cause why the hell not.
Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru
Growing up as an orphan, Yuki Sakurai questions his reason for living and the ability to see a person's painful memory by simply touching them. After receiving anonymous notes telling him to die, Yuki is unable to shake off the nagging feeling forming inside of him. Unbeknownst to him, he is being watched, both by people who want to harm him and those who want to protect him.
Reincarnation from a girl to a boy and the girl had a hot lover that is now with her male reincarnation. And the lover is a vampire. Man, that’s confusing but the story is good. I have yet to read the manga. The anime was great from what I can remember, so give it a shot. It’s another BL anime, so proceed with caution.
Vampire Knight
Cross Academy is an elite boarding school with two separate, isolated classes: the Day Class and the Night Class. On the surface, Yuuki Cross and Zero Kiryuu are prefects of the academy and attempt to keep order between the students as classes rotate in the evenings. As the Night Class is full of utterly gorgeous elites, this can sometimes prove to be a bit difficult. It is completely necessary, however, as those "elites" are actually vampires. Yuuki and Zero act as guardians, protecting the secrets of the Night Class and the safety of their ignorant morning counterparts.
If twilight was an anime, but Bella and Edward were siblings and Jacob was another vampire. This is not a great anime but let's face it, some of us watched it as preteens, enjoyed it, and were head over heels for Zero and/or Kaname. It’s a trash anime, but great for those who are 21 and over. Do I hear drinking games, anyone?
All synopsis came from My Anime List (where the links take you). Also, I’m sorry it’s a lot to read, I just didn’t want to cut them down. Feel free to add what you think should have been on here, or what you think is a Halloween favorite on reposts. Comments are welcome and have a happy spooky season!

What are your thoughts on Kou???
Why I like them
I like how complicated Kou is. He presents himself as a friendly, amiable idol who’s charming and fun, but he changes in an instant, becoming malicious and cruel so fast it makes your head spin. I can usually pick out why Kanato get’s violent, as he’s another character who can change moods suddenly, but Kou isn’t as easy to pin down. His reasoning usually follows the law of equivalent exchange (ayyy fma references) where - you can’t gain anything without giving/losing something in return. I really like this philosophy and what you can do with it in terms of writing. It’s a fascinatingly jaded way of looking at the world. Like how heartbreaking the concept is of Kou being shown affection by Yui and then immediately having to offer her something in return, be it money or something else. He can’t grasp the concept of her honestly wanting to show him affection without her having a motive behind it.
Why I don’t
His maliciousness in MB got really bad at some points. He’s extremely petty with his reasoning sometimes and that game in particular showcases Kou at his most cruel. I still like him, but his extremes and vague reasoning, not to mention his attitude when it came to Yui being bullied by his fans, make him fall a little lower on my favourites list. All the boys are trash and abusive but it’s just about preference of trash.
Favourite episode (scene if movie)
anime -
manga
I dunno why I just really like the part where Kou tries to ‘buy’ Yui and she absolutely refuses to take his shit.
Favourite season/movie/game
From what I’ve seen, his Dark Fate is considered the best game for Kou, but I still need to read it.
Favourite line
I like the way he describes his past, like the whole thing is a fairy tale. I think he describes it that way to separate himself from the memory.
Favourite outfit
OTP
I don’t really ‘ship’ Kouyui because of the whole - hey I’m going to keep trying to kill myself and you have to stop me, to prove your love’ thing. But I’d be lying if I said that the moment above doesn’t give me feels. Yui endures a lot of abuse through his route, both physically, mentally and emotionally, but I really like to see their interactions because of how steadfast she is with him, not budging on her ideals even when he hurts her to try and twist her mind into thinking like him. Their clash of ideals is very interesting, and even if I don’t like them in More Blood, I can’t really give my full opinion on the ship until I’ve read his Dark Fate.
Brotp
I know most people will answer Subaru and Kou, but I also really like how understated but genuine Ruki and Kou’s bond is. Ruki just seems to understand Kou’s nature very well and often gives advice to Yui about his brother. When they first met, Ruki saw Kou trying to end his life, and instead of immediately stopping him, he tells him to do it. In the end, Kou can’t bring himself to, and Ruki calmly states that it’s because in his heart he ‘still has hope.’ It’s only then that Ruki offers Kou to come along with him. I dunno, I like their brotherly bond and I feel like Ruki acted that way to try an prove to Kou himself that he still had a desire to live.
I think it’s fitting that in MB, Ruki is the last person Kou speaks to before he and Yui run away, and Rui let’s them, even going so far as to break Kou’s magic eye to cover for them. In a way, he’s defying Karl Heinz for the sake of his brother’s happiness.
Head Canon
Kou much like Laito, abuses Yui in much the same way he was abused by the aristocrats. Imo he does this to place himself in a powerful position, and repeats the cycle of abuse in order to relive the events that broke him, but come out as superior to her, vs how vulnerable he used to be in her place.
Unpopular opinion
I don’t really have one for Kou.
A wish
This is dumb, but I want a scenario where Yui and the Mukami’s go to a karaoke bar. I think Kou would love it. I really like his Devils Spire song.
An oh-god-please-don’t-ever-happen
I don’t know why but the concept of Kou going blind is a really sad one to me. Just the thought of him not being about to see the blue sky anymore…
5 words to best describe them
Cute Cruel Sadistic Idol Vampire
My nickname for them
Two-faced trash idol

(AN: SURPRISE!! Didn’t think I’d have another chapter for a few months huh? Never doubt the power of procrastinating on everything else in your life to pursue the inspiration to write kids! Warnings for this chapter include violence, blood drinking, and heartbreak.)
Ch. 1 Ch. 2 Ch. 3 Ch.4 Ch. 5 Ch. 6 Ch. 7
Word Count: 2457
Chapter 8 – A Choice
I studied over Yui’s notes for the rest of the night and well into the morning too. I wouldn’t say I’m normally the most studious person ever, but I didn’t want Yui’s kindness to go to waste. Especially with the risks she had to take just to talk to me. I hoped she would be okay… By the time I fell asleep I had finally grasped the basics of the Kamakura period and the quadratic formula.
Blood… There was blood everywhere. A full moon hung high in the sky, but it was as red as the blood that covered my hands and face. As red as my hair. I couldn’t move, fear and shock overtook my entire body. I looked out upon the bodies scattering the floor. Student uniforms. The cloaks of healers. Random street clothes. All dead. All because of me.
But one stood out to me. Blonde hair. Flower clips. Large pink eyes staring but not looking. Once realization hit me I scrambled back.
No no no no no no no no…
Not again…
A voice filled my head. “Look at the potential you hold. The power. You can finally have the control you seek.”
“I don’t want this!” I screamed. I covered my ears but the voice persisted.
“Of course you do. Listen to the moon, child. It calls you. Drives you.”
“I’ve learned to fight it! I’m not going to succumb to the thirst again!”
“Not the thirst, child. But the sadistic monster inside you.”
I awoke in a cold sweat, scanning my surroundings in primal fear. Boring gray walls. The nurse’s office?! No, the compound. I breathed a sigh of relief. I cautiously opened the curtains of my window. Dusk. I needed to get ready for school.
The preparation for today was somber, not as frantic as it was the day before. I mulled over the dream I had, which had felt more like a prediction. Or maybe it was just my fears manifesting in the only way they knew how. But that voice… It hadn’t been my own, yet it sounded so familiar. And it sent shivers up my spine.
A knock on my door had me scrambling to put the last of my uniform on. “Come in!” I called.
Rose peeked her head inside just as I was tying the last bow around my neck. “Are you ready to go? I packed you a lunch again.”
“Just about. And thank you, Rose. I’ll get around to making it myself soon, I promise.”
She smiled at me, then made a face at my handiwork. “Your bows are crooked.”
I looked down and sighed, attempting to straighten them. Rose instead took it upon herself to fix them for me. An embarrassed blush spread across my face. “I’d like to think I’m not as hopeless as I probably look right now.”
“I know you aren’t. You’re just… stressed. And understandably so. I know I wouldn’t want to go back into a nest of vampires.”
I grimaced. “I wasn’t given a choice.”
She frowned but straightened up again, having made perfect bows for me.
The ride to school was quiet again. I could tell Rose was deep in thought, but I didn’t want to pry. And I also had my own things to think about. What was I going to do during a full moon? Would I still go to school? The teachers and students would immediately know something was up with my red eyes and hair. How did the other vampires do it? Well, actually that one was easy. Apparently they fed like normal, even though they weren’t supposed to. But what if I hurt someone?
We arrived at the academy and I turned to open the door, but felt a hand on my shoulder. “Don’t. Don’t go, just yet.” My hand fell from the handle as I turned back to look at Rose. She looked like she was steeling herself for something big.
“You said before that you weren’t given a choice. Well I’m giving you one now.”
“What… are you saying?” I asked, not entirely sure where this was going.
Rose took a deep breath. “What I’m saying, is that we can run away! Defy your father’s wishes and just leave… forever…” She trailed off, possibly imagining what this possible future would entail. “It wouldn’t be easy, and we would be hunted for the rest of our lives, but we’d have each other.” She held both of my hands in hers. Tears were now brimming in her chocolate brown eyes. “I want the best for you, Megumi, and I don’t think you’ll find it in that academy. Your father certainly doesn’t know what’s best for you, and that stranger definitely doesn’t.”
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. “Run away? But nothing has been planned! How would we even—”
“I’ve already packed two bags, they’re in the trunk. As well as enough food and cash to last us a little while. But if you decide not to, I’ll just put them away and pretend like this conversation never happened. But I really think we could do it! We could really pull this off!”
My mind began to imagine it. Moving from town to town, possibly living off the land until it was time to move again. Never having a lot, but just being happy with each other. I looked down at her hands still tightly grasping mine and back up at her watering eyes. I felt myself tear up as well. It was a lot to think about, but the idea of it still sounded better than getting out of the car again. My father and that stranger would probably be furious, but in that moment I didn’t care. Rose was right. They didn’t know what was best for me.
But I did.
I opened my mouth to reply with my choice. But before I could, a long limo pulled up in front of us. Six boys piled out, followed by a blonde-haired girl with flower clips. I saw her fidget nervously with her bag for a moment before catching up the with the rest of them. She seemed uneasy. What had happened?
But then I realized this choice wasn’t so easy to make. My heart was torn. I loved Rose, and I so wanted to take the “easy” way out. But there was also Yui, a human girl living with six vampires. If she could do it, who was to say I couldn’t? And maybe, I could help her. Just like she helped me. We could have each other’s backs and survive our fates together. I had just met her yesterday, and yet I felt a responsibility to help her. Because she deserved that much at least.
Decision made, I turned back to Rose. The tears were falling from my eyes now. It was the hardest choice I’d ever had to make in my life.
“I can’t.” I said with a sad smile. “Just like you helped me, it’s my turn to help her.” I nodded towards Yui. “I want to be with you, but I need to stay here and do what’s right. I don’t want to run away when there’s someone here I could potentially help.”
I met her eyes again. Tears streaked her face as well, but she nodded as if she knew how I would answer. “Forgive me. I wanted to help you, but you’re right.” She smiled. “I think I may have taught you too well to protect the innocent.” She took my face in her hands, and once again placed a kiss on my forehead. She looked deep into my eyes for a moment. “You got this, Megumi.”
Rose made sure to wipe the tears from my eyes. I hugged her, trying to convey in that embrace how much I just wanted to leave all this behind and start a new life with her. Even though she was the one wanting to protect me, I desperately wanted to do the same for her. She seemed to understand, holding me back just as tightly before sending me on my way. My heart was still broken, but I needed to pull myself together and get on with the day.
Classes went on as normal, and thankfully I didn’t run into Laito again in the halls. However, Ayato kept glancing at me more during English than he did yesterday. Was it because he had seen me with Yui yesterday? Or was it for another reason? When the bell rang I tried to leave as soon as possible so I could actually make it to my next class today. But Ayato had other plans, blocking my way to the door so I couldn’t leave.
“The hentai says you aren’t human.”
“If this is your way of calling me a freak, you’ll have to get more creative,” I said, avoiding eye contact and trying to push past him.
Well that certainly pissed him off. He grabbed my shoulder and pinned it to the wall. “Don’t ignore Ore-sama!” His eyes flashed in anger. “Now what are you?”
“I’m human! What else would I be? An alien?”
Without any warning, he leaned into my neck. I prepared myself for the pain of a bite, but it never came. Instead I felt him sniff near my pulse. He pulled away, looking unhappy with his findings.
“You do smell human. Almost.” He let go of my shoulder and smirked at me. “Maybe one day I’ll get a taste, and finally see what you really are.”
I stared wide eyed at him for a second before running out the door to my next class. But I could still hear his chuckle echoing behind me.
It turns out the class I had missed before was cooking class, which I was grateful for. It was nice to finally feel in my element with a class instead of hopelessly behind. We ended up making pork cutlets with rice. I ate what I could in case there was another incident during lunch.
The rest of the day went by relatively smooth. I could actually kinda keep up in math even! After history I made sure to thank Yui for the notes.
“O-Of course!” She seemed surprised I was still talking to her. Did the boys keep other people from talking to her? “Did they help you out today?”
“Definitely! I actually understood what was going on,” I laughed. “And you take really good notes! Like they’re really in depth and helped me understand things really well.”
“Oh! Well, thank you.” She smiled, and I returned it. I never thought I would prefer talking about notes and homework over everything else going on. It was… normal. This is just what normal human kids did, worrying about the next exam instead of whether or not they’ll kill someone on the next full moon.
I made sure to keep the conversation short with Yui. I didn’t want her getting in trouble again, especially because of me. I noticed Ayato had stopped by the classroom to pick her up, making sure to glare at me in the process. I just stared back. I didn’t feel like getting into another fight with a vampire today.
But someone wanted to go against my wishes.
As I was making my way down the stairwell, my arm was tugged, throwing me into a dark corner at the bottom of the stairs. I tried to scream but a hand quickly covered my mouth, which I promptly bit. I heard a hiss behind me and I was thrown into the wall, a hand firmly on my neck. My head felt dizzy and my vision was blurry, but I could still make out a flash of green eyes. A chill ran up my spine, my hair turning white before I could stop it.
“Nfu~ So my eyes didn’t deceive me. What does it mean, bitch-chan? Do you take pleasure in this?”
“Far… from it!” I choked out. I tried kicking him while he held onto me, but he easily avoided it. “Let me… go!”
“Oh? But I can’t do that until I’ve had another taste. I want to see if it’s still the same as I remember.”
My eyes widened and I squirmed more, which only prompted him to tighten his grip.
He sighed. “Your face and neck are turning so red, bitch-chan! If I were to bite you right now, it would probably make a mess, nfu~” He leaned in, smelling near my face. I flinched and turned away. Laito let out a soft moan. “You smell… different…”
I hoped that meant he wasn’t interested and would let me go. But the tugging at my clothes suggested otherwise. I struggled more, attempting to shove him away, but it was no use. I was little more than a human right now. It was like trying to fight a brick wall. Buttons popped and my ribbons fell away. I felt cool air on my chest, meaning I was at least partially exposed.
“Hmm… Not even lace. How boring.”
I flushed in anger and embarrassment, but that feeling was quickly replaced by a searing pain near my collar bone. I choked on my breath, not even able to scream. Laito’s moans and slurps could be heard echoing in the stairwell. I clawed at his hand on my throat, trying to breathe, but it only tightened again.
By the time spots were clouding my vision, he finally pulled away. He was gasping, even though he wasn’t the one that had their neck pinned to the wall.
“It is different. More human, but also… not.” I could barely make out my blood dripping down his chin. Sucking in one small bit of air, I made one final attempt at demanding he let me go. He only smirked at me. “Just a little longer.”
I didn’t understand what he meant until my vision went black.
Someone was shaking me.
“Megumi? Megumi! Please wake up!”
My eyes struggled open. I saw a blurry figure huddled over me.
“Rose?” I croaked.
“Oh, thank goodness!” It sounded like she really thought I was a goner. “When you didn’t come out to the car I figured something must have happened.”
For some reason I couldn’t focus on what she was saying. “Are you… wearing clothes?” She was had on a simple gray dress and her hair was in a neat bun on top of her head.
“Huh? Oh! You mean without the robe. Well, yes. I figured I shouldn’t come in wearing a mysterious cloak. But that doesn’t matter right now. What happened?”
It took me a moment to remember, and when I did, all I could mutter was, “Damn vampires.”

Reversed! Diabolik Lovers AU
Sorry this took me forever, I have a thing called school
- So this starts off with the 6 sakamaki brothers, they’re the sons of the preist Karlheinz and they’re told to stay with a ‘relative’ for a while as he works overseas.
- he basically ditched them in the name of the church
- They all walked in after being greeted by the disappearing butler, Reiji is taking a liking to the interior design and such.
- Then they meet Yui, who welcomes them with a warm smile. You nkow, trying to be a nice host to her new visitors.
- Of course, they start to doubt and put her down. (insulting her (coughayatocough) and crude flirting (coughlaitocough) )
- Yui just keeps a smile on her face and told them that their rooms have already been prepared. She even offers them tea and snacks (in which Kanato took the chance)
- the refreshements were brought out and now everyone was talking to at least get to know each other.
- Ayato was complaining about not having wifi, Shuu was asleep, Laito was only flirting with Yui, Kanato was too busy eating sweets and talking to his stuffed bear but asked questions of the sweets, Subaru was quiet and Reiji was the only one making actual conversation.
- Suddenly, Kanato drops a tea cup and accidently gets his fingers cut on the shards.
- that's when shit does down...
- Yui's eyes glowed and her fangs were poking out, all of the sakamakis instantly backed away.
- "W-What the hell?!"
- Yui snaps out of it, flustered "Oh my goodness! That was so rude of me! I tend to have cravings around blood, but that is one of the faults of being a vampire."
- all is quiet...
- Ayato: "H-Hah? You gotta be crazy...There's no such thing as vampires!"
- "If that were the case, how am I standing here?"
- Subaru: "We can't be related to a vampire..."
- "Huh? Relative? Didn't you father tell you? You're here because you all are sacrificial grooms."
- as if they couldn't hate their dad more...
- And that started off their time here at Komori Manor...
- "Oh, and when it comes to feedings...I tend to loose control, so I apologize in advance! I won't be able to hold back!"
Ayato:
- In denial.
- "You're just delusional, Pancake! Vampires can't exist!"
- He's hit with shock when feeding comes around...
- He was in his room and suddenly he heard her voice beind him.
- "Good evening..." "AHG! W-WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN HERE?!"
- "This is my house, I can go anywhere I want...Yes?"
- "What do you want?" Freaked out and wanted to get out, suddenly she teleported in front of him and pushed him down on the bed.
- "I apologized when we first met, yes? So I don't need to do it now."
- With that, Yui crawled on top of him and of course Ayato struggled but the vamppire managed to bite down on his neck and start drinking.
- It hurts...But it felt good? God he wanted to shoot himself for thinking that...
- "S-S-Stop it! Let me go!"
- "Shhh, it'll be over soon...Just relax babyboy."
- She was sadistic when hungry...But not full on abuse sadistic if you know what I mean.
- After living there for a while and getting used to the routine, Ayato started to think Yui was cute.
- "CUTE?! What the hell are you thinking?! The chicks at school are way hotter than she is!"
- He loved her smile that showed her fangs, her cute laugh and how she would always hum while setting up flowers in pots to liven up the place (they weren't aloud to leave at daytime so she placed in bright flowers to make them feel at home)
- Still in denial about feelings but feels all of the feels around her.
- "Oh my! Are you sick, Ayato-kun?! Do you need to lay down?"
- "N-No! Shut up and leave me alone!"
- Showed her his videogames and taught her how to play.
- Now he's determined to be 'Adam'.
- "Don't even try! I'm going to be Adam and rule over vampires and demons!"
- "Eh? Does that mean Ayato-kun has a crush on Yui-san?"
- "I DO NOT!"
- he does.
Laito:
- At first, he thought she was nice enough to mess around with.
- after all, he was the school's player!
- He said various of things and touched Yui in flirty manners
- "Such a simple girl to play with! What a cute Bitch to ruin!"
- God, he was wrong...
- His feeding happened at school, he was on the roof and Yui appeared out of no where and he playfully talked to her.
- "Aw, does my little bitch miss me?"
- "Bitch? I thought I was clear that you all are the ones in the relationship. I simiply tower over you all."
- "Huh?"
- Yui pinned him to the wall and started doing the touches he did to her and he was squirming by her cold touch and she smirked.
- "Oh? What a cute boy...Flustered by my touching. Even though you always have the audacity to grope my ass and call me babygirl in public. Don't like it when I'm the one holding you down like this~?"
- "W-Wait, I...I..."
- "Hmmm, nah. I'm too thirsty anyways!"
- Once her fangs sunk in, Laito was suddenly in another world...First it was pain like any other person but he slowly got intoxicated with the buzz he felt and wrapped himself around the smaller girl.
- Hungry Yui did a lot of hair pulling.
- Cheeks pink and moaned like a pornstar.
- "You need to be quiet, or people will hear you...Unless, you like the risk of getting caught? Does it make you feel nice, babyboy?"
- "Funny...Who's the bitch now?"
- It took him a little bit to accept this, but he fully enjoys getting bit.
- He started having 'dreams' about being bit if he was driven crazy enough.
- Laito fantasized with all of the nicknames Sadistic Yui gave him (Babyboy, babe, honey, baby, prince, puppy)
- It took a while for Laito to stop seeing Yui only sexually, but once he started to think more clear he started to appreciate the little things about Yui.
- He made Yui smile a lot, hearing her laugh made his heart fill up.
- He would surprise her with little things (with the limitations of not being able to leave the manor besides school playing in hand)
- They would do those things you do at school in a cheesy romance movie (being together in a library, making fun of the teachers etc)
- Really honest with his feelings.
- "Hm...I like Yui-chan a lot, so I'll become Adam!"
Kanato:
- Didn't really care about Yui
- Thought of her as someone pointless.
- Would yell at her (you know, usual kanato)
- Still eats her sweets without a problem, demands for them too!
- Will admit that she had a nice sense of fashion.
- She wasnt the pushover he thought she was...
- This happened in the kitchen, Yui happened to be in there and Kanato came in demanding for sweets (like always)
- "Make me cake!"
- "Oh my, we aren't using our words...Are we?"
- Yui quickly sat Kanato on the counter and held him there while he kicked and screamed.
- "Stop being a brat, you wanted something right?"
- Yui was about to bite into his neck but stopped and sighed, "...You probably need something to calm you down...Well, I don't mind."
- With that Yui kissed him, Kanato was frozen with shock...His first kiss was with a vampire and...She tasted like raspberries.
- Suddenly she bites his lips and licks it, tears start to flood out of Kanato's eyes. She sees this and smiled at him with a sadistic glint in her eyes.
- "I know it hurts, it supposed to make you feel good. You boys like those types of things, right? Just relax and let me do all of the work and everything will go along smoothly." Then she proceeds to bite his neck.
- Of course, Kanato kicks her off and tries to run but the doors are locked and she comes along and pulls his hair.
- "Cute, now don't ever try to run away again or I'll punish you more."
- Yeah, Kanato held grudges for a while so he hated Yui for a while, especially when she came to feed on him.
- One day, he started to tolerate her since she was insistant on helping him out.
- The more time they spent together, the more tight his chest felt and he didn't like it at all. He would consult to Teddy and it didn't help him a bit (I wonder why)
- Her sweets became even sweeter to him, he loved it.
- Sometimes he would sneek into her room and sleep with her and made sure she didn't know (she knew but didn't say anythign to make him happy).
- He fell in love with her raspberry kiss (kissing happened only when Hungry Yui came out to play)
- She would mend Teddy with the greatest of care, Kanato fell for her motherly-like personality (since his mother wasn't in his life).
- "Yui-san, I think you would look great in this!"
- "O-Oh, I'm flattered you think so!"
- Kanato would show his fashion drawings to her, drawing her dresses that were only deemed perfect for Yui.
- "I wanna become Adam! She loves me more than all of you!"
Shuu:
- Didn't really care about her.
- Tolerated her since she was just being nice.
- Called her annoying most of the time when she was interupting his sleep.
- "At least she cooks good food..."
- His feeding happened when he was sleeping, it was going out fine until he felt the bite on his neck and his eyes shot open and he tried to get up only to be pushed down again.
- "Don't mind me, go back to sleep."
- "...How in hell am I supposed to if you're draining my blood?"
- "Sarcastic one, aren't we? Just told tight and it'll be over."
- "...Heh, what a perverted woman to come and attack me while I slept."
- "Eh? How am I the pervert when you're obviously enjoying it~?"
- "Wha- I'm not-"
- "Don't, I can already tell you're lying. Ah...I like you already, you're fairly easy to dominate."
- After that, he would tease her about it and she would become flustered.
- Her bites did hurt a lot. He just didn't showcase the pain.
- After a while...He guesses that he likes her?
- She was really gentle and soft usually, that's what he likes in girl unlike the noisy ones at school.
- Hungry Yui can be a little bit of a pervert, one time she snuck up behind Shuu when he was bathing and fed off of him
- Seeing her hurt was the last thing Shuu wanted to see on his list, she protected him from wolves and got seriously injured and he thought he was going to have a heart attack.
- "..H...uh? Shuu...san...Wha are...you...?"
- "Don't move, you didn't need to proctect me...Please don't scare me again.
- He would play piano and violin for her sometimes and she enjoyed it a lot.
- "...Hey...Let me become Adam."
Reiji:
- He was being polite to his new host.
- After all, he needed to set an example for representing the church.
- He and Yui would have conversations of the architecture of the manor, all of the books available in the library, subject matters and so on.
- "She has allowed us to stay in her house while Father is away, be more polite would you?"
- His feeding happened in the library, he was just studying and suddenly Yui came up behind him.
- "You might want to put the book a bit farther away, the pages might get ruined."
- "What do you mean-" *bites*
- Ever since then, Reiji has been on guard around Yui. He doesn't know when she'll attack him again for blood.
- Yui has done various of things to make Reiji trust her again, such as bringing different teas she had to show, showing the science lab she had and other things.
- Of course, Hungry Yui came along and brought the trust meter down.
- One day, enemies of Yui's family came by and the boys were in danger. One of them was about to attack Reiji but Yui stepped in front of him and fought him back.
- They weren't serious injuries but Reiji still tended to them, after all it was basically his fault that she got hurt.
- Eventually, Reiji slowly trusted Yui and just accepted that he was there as a feeding bag when Yui was hungry.
- They would have tea together.
- Yui liked watching his projects, they always amazed her and Reiji couldn't help but feel proud of himself.
- Was it odd that he liked the motherly side of Yui a lot? (because he didn't any from his own)
- "As a representative of the church and to be a model leader of vampires and demons, it is only suiting that I'll be the one to take the role."
- Shuu: "Just admit you like her..."
- Would rather die than tell anyone that he sorta liked getting bit.
Subaru:
- Hella angry
- "You can't tell me what to do, woman!"
- Didn't care Yui.
- The only thing good about the place is that the garden was impressive.
- broke a lot of things that Yui cleaned up
- Yui apologizes a lot to Subaru and he just huffs.
- For Subaru's feeding, he was in the garden around midnight and suddenly Yui appeared out of no where.
- "Fucking hell, can't you leave me alone or something?"
- "..."
- "What do ya' need? Quit staring at me like that!"
- "Goodness, can't you just be a good boy and not blow up every second?"
- "Hah?! What am I to you, a dog?!"
- "Hmmm, maybe I can reduce you to one. Great idea!"
- Yui shoved him onto one of the stone seats and pinned him down, she was a lot stronger than Subaru so he felt only a little bit intimidated.
- "Get the fuck off me!"
- "What a filthy mouth, do I need to train you to be quiet?"
- Yui kisses him, of course Subaru fights back but for some reason he's lulled to stop moving and Yui grins at him with pointed teeth.
- "Good boy, now sit back and let me drink your blood~"
- It doesn't hurt as much since Subaru's skin was a bit thicker/rougher than the others but there was still a pinch of pain in it.
- Would rather die than confess that he actually liked it.
- Ever since then, Subaru became flustered and stubborn around Yui.
- "Do you need help on the history lesson, Subaru-kun?"
- "F-Fuck off!"
- Yui does nice things for him and he still a complete Tsundere.
- She was soft, gentle and natural...He was reminded a lot of his mother.
- He help her sometimes in the garden with collecting flowers and putting them in vases.
- These guys at school wouldn't stop hitting on Yui so Subaru came in and literally punched one of them in the face (he got 3 day suspention)
- Still tsundere as fuck when he realizes that he likes her.
- "I don't care, just pick an Adam already!"
- Kanato : "Huh? I thought you wanted to be picked too...Teddy heard you-"
- "I will take that dumb teddy bear and toss it into the fire."
I’ll do Mukami and Tsukinami later probably?

Why do people dislike Reiji? (Thoughts)
Disclaimer: This is not a proper character study like narihira made for Reiji here, and this was not made with the intent to offend. You're perfectly entitled to your own opinions ^^ This is more of a general summery of thoughts on the subject below and isn't meant to be taken too seriously.
I did a similar post on Yui, which tackles the hate she receives here, but since the dislike on Reiji is more complicated, this needed to be longer. I'm just rambling for about 2,500 words. Very non professional. Have fun!
About a year ago I continually saw posts or comments about the second eldest Sakamaki brother and what a douche canoe he was. Since I figured it was none of my business, I just ignored it, and the comments bypassed my notice. However, recently I've seen a mini serge in dislike for Reiji again (mostly in youtube comments), and I got to thinking;
Why do people dislike Reiji seemingly more than the other characters?
Now this isn't to say that some of the brothers aren't disliked for various reasons, but none of the dislike geared towards them is half as...vocal. Despite the Lost Eden popularity poll showing that he did pretty well in the ranks, the dislike seems constant. Not loud and in your face, but just a continuous feeling of...urgh, for Reiji. (At least in Western audiences)
So today lets have a little look into the tea loving pigeon boy and why he seems to get under the skin of so many.
Now, since we're all familiar with Reiji, I'm sure he doesn't need an introduction. However! Casting my thoughts back, I know that my first introduction to him and the franchise was the anime. I'm sure this is the same for many of you out here in the West.
Since this is probably the case, lets roll with that.
Anime Reiji
Our first introduction to Reiji is in episode 1. Yui has just been shoved down by a guy and licked, it happens. Reiji makes his presence known, and Yui is pretty grateful for the interruption.
We get our first look at him. The image he gives off is very butler-esque. I've seen a few people admit that they thought he was the actual butler of the house initially. He has a stern, gentlemanly charm about him, so common in megane characters it's become a trope.
Now I'd say it's very unlikely that this show was your introduction to anime as a whole. You'd probably seen at least a few to have fallen into the hell of otome adaptations. This will have set up an expectation for you. You know the glasses wearing guy. He's stern, smart, cold, snarky but usually has a soft side hidden somewhere.
All this expectation has been weighed onto Reiji's shoulders within the first episode. Yes he's a vampire, so we're expecting some bloodsucking, and hey, you probably heard that the series was full of jerks, but really, Reiji will just be kinda stern, right?
Nah.
Fast-forward to episode two and Yui wakes up to nearly getting her blood sucked. Again she is saved by Reiji's intervention.
She receives a carton of cranberry juice from him and although we're warned that she's basically just going to be used as a blood-bag from now on, a sense of responsibility has been tied to Reiji's name. He's organised as evidenced by him giving her a school uniform and explaining the situation to her (albeit sternly.)
So we as the audience see him as a well put together guy.
Then we have half a second of Reiji casually announcing that he will whip Yui if she disobeys him. If you were like me, you weren't paying attention to this detail the first time round, so this information flew over your head. If you were paying attention, then you probably either did a double take, frowned, or smiled like this; ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
But that was just half a second, and new stuff is being thrown at you, so that little tidbit is forgotten for awhile.
Episode 3 - We see that Reiji very obviously dislikes Shuu.
Fast-forward to the killer that is episode 5 and this is where I feel like the dislike chart goes through the roof.
Up to this point, Reiji's been an okay guy. Not nice, but not bad. If he's your type then your swooning from the megane feels. If he's not your type then you're most likely lukewarm or just indifferent to him. But this episode changes those feelings for some.
His scene opens with Yui waking him from a dream, that he reveals to be a nightmare. He decides to make some tea, and Yui somewhat awkwardly waits as he sits down with a cup, not giving her any. He sneers at her for automatically assuming that she'd get a cup too, which is what we as the audience would also assume. It's common courtesy, and the way he worded it was purposefully misleading. Therefore when she doesn't receive a cup, we feel a wince of unfairness. We feel that he's a jerk for denying her, because he quite obviously has the means to give her a cup and it would cost him nothing to do so. He just doesn't on principle that she's a blood-bag and should 'know her place.'
There is also a faint sense of unease, because while it does fit with his image to be a stern jerk, it's slightly jarring to see someone so full of manners deny someone common courtesy. It doesn't fit with the aforementioned image and perception we have of a gentleman character.
Still with me on the unfairness thing? Cool.
Next we have Yui accidentally angering him because of an innocent comment about Shuu, and we see a flashback of Reiji as a young boy.
Now, being ignored at a young age is horrible, and very damaging to a child. I think at least some of you in the audience felt something at the sight of Reiji watching his mother and Shuu from afar, but this sympathy is quickly erased for some.
Reiji randomly decides, hey, you CAN have tea Yui.
Yui has some, but then discovers that it's poisoned. She breaks the cup and collapses.
Reiji expresses annoyance with her at coughing so openly and breaking his cup. Those in the audience feeling animosity towards him get even more fuel for their Reiji dislike pile. He is again reaffirming the notion that he values manners, but since he denied her tea earlier and then poisoned her, the manners thing feels grating and an excuse to nitpick, rather than being interested in upholding propriety.
Things take a downward spiral as the blood sucking scene happens, but since he's a vampire this part isn't what people tend to take issue with. It's more that in this scene, Reiji exhibits some out of nowhere psychopathic behavior by saying that he'll bandage Yui's hand so tight that it will rot and fall off at the wrist, then screaming and crying, she will finally die.
(*whispers* the pacing in this anime is a bit off. Just y’know..a bit. Reiji is sadistic and frightening but this felt so out of left field. I could write a whole other post about how this anime’s poor pacing affected peoples perceptions of Subaru but that’s for a whole other day. )
This scene is quite intense and gives a lasting impression on Reiji's character.
All of the above has taken place within the space of just a few minutes, and the thoughts on his behavior have most likely been subconsciously felt. From this point on for many, they absolutely refuse to trust in Reiji's character again. They wont like him because of this slight.
So, why the sudden and sustained feelings of dislike?
Well my friends, let's take a look at some similar characters.
Exhibit A - Hans from Frozen
Exhibit B - Toma from Amnesia Memories
I'm assuming you know these two guys, but if not then here's a quick run down. (Spoilers for Frozen and Amnesia Memories.)
Exhibit A - Prince Hans is initially the love interest of the main character Princess Anna. He's charming, regal, charismatic, hot, and a gentleman. Those in the audience who didn't see his betrayal coming, quite liked him. Some liked him more than Kristoff. (My favorite part about watching Frozen with someone who hasn't seen it before and knows nothing about the 'twist', is asking them halfway through who they prefer, Hans or Kristoff. More often its been Hans.)
Then BAM! Twist! Hans as it turns out, is a selfish douchenozzle, and was out for the crown all along! Le gasp!
I've literally never seen people hate a character so quickly. And why? Well it's because we thought we knew him, and how dare he play us like he played Anna? Some of those in the audience associate him subconsciously with all the betrayals they've ever felt. Cheating boyfriend? Hans. Traitor friend? Hans. He is a reminder of every past betrayal and they hate him for it.
Exhibit B - Toma is one of the love interests from Amnesia Memories. While I'm sure many were shocked and angered by him in the anime, I'm going to speak of my experience with him in the game, as it was a special one.
Toma is again, charming, trustworthy, warm, friendly and a gentleman. He has an obvious protective streak but throughout the routes, it feels brotherly and nice. Then we get to his route.
It's just Toma, I think, merrily playing the game as MC stays at his house.
It's just... Toma, I wonder, as MC increasingly stays over longer and longer.
It's...Toma, I worry as MC keeps falling asleep after drinking Toma's offered tea.
HOLY SHIT TOMA! I scream, as she wakes up locked in a cage.
Anger, betrayal and dislike are intermingled with many peoples feelings towards Toma. He exhibits concern for MC but continually keeps her locked up and spirals into obsession. He shattered peoples expectations of him and then crushed them by revealing himself as a yandere and unearthing a problematic personality. (Hot for some, a deal-breaker for the entire game for others.)
So what do these characters have to do with Reiji?
Simple, they shattered audiences expectations, and thus gave them a sense of betrayal. (Again this is not for all audiences, but these characters are very disliked.)
But Reiji did not exhibit niceness before the betrayal of expectations, so why compare them? Well, I'm factoring his gentleman image again. Reiji may not have been nice before episode 5, but he did have the association of manners and fairness because of his 'type'. His actions in episode 5 turn so quickly violent and surprising that those in the audience already disliking him feel it sharpen.
Therefore, those disliking him wont see the good side of him that all the boys have somewhere. Yes they're all abusive assholes, but they do have good points, and Reiji is no different, it's simply that he's not given a chance to show them to those who dislike him, either because they don't read up on him, or any chances of interest or sympathy have been severed because of a loss of attachment.
The fact that he was ignored as a child is well...ignored. The fact that he saves Yui from dying at the end of the anime is also not enough to temper their dislike of him.
Episode 5 isn't entirely to blame for the dislike of Reiji, but it is a factor. HDB is another.
Reiji's actions and traits, explored:
I think those who played the games first or DID decide to give his route a chance after the anime, dislike him for his actions and traits. Reiji has a grudge holding personality, and is very bitter and resentful. For those who have never been in his position, it's understandable why he comes off as unrelateable. But if you keep an open mind, then he's not that difficult to understand
Being ignored is awful. You have no sense of self worth. Couple that with a sibling who receives everything you crave but throws it away, and of course you can see how Reiji became so twisted and broken.
We find out that he set the fire that killed Shuu's best friend Edgar. He did this as a child, which he later admits to, in a neither gloating or arrogant way. In fact he just seems to be acknowledging it as an act he did as a child, something in the heat of the moment (no pun intended) but not a moment he prides himself on.
Odd. Surely such a man would be happy that he'd crushed his brothers spirits?
Next we have Reiji hiring a vampire hunter to kill Beatrix. Again, a very horrible act, yet again, it's not as cut and dry as it seems. Reiji doesn't want to resurrect his dead mom to kill her over and over again for the sake of it. It's left unsaid that the reason her death bothers him so much, is that it was the one time his whole life that she actually acknowledged him on his own, not as a servant to Shuu.
I honestly don't see anyone disliking Reiji for his treatment of Cordelia, the dude was a badass in those scenes.
I don't think he gets enough credit for how well he handles her toxic personality and that he absolutely doesn't take her shit.
He even takes beatings for Yui. This prideful man lowers himself to be Cordelias plaything. FOR A HUMAN. Thats pretty darn massive for someone like Reiji. I find it interesting that Reiji doesn't break from a loss of control of a situation. Laito, someone who seems constantly relaxed, snaps easily if Yui threatens his control by disobeying him. But Reiji keeps calm. What makes him break composure is always a mentioning of Shuu or his mother.
Ultimately Reiji appreciates strong women but he abhors manipulative ones. He even acknowledges Yui as a strong willed girl, which is most likely one of the key reasons for why he becomes attracted to her, aside from her honest kindness.
Then there's the 'training' he puts Yui through. As I said before, Reiji utterly disregards the social conventions that his image seems to uphold. He has no problem with being rude and snarky and can and will do as he pleases because Yui is under 'his roof'. Now, Reiji does care about rules, but he cares about his rules. He has strict guidelines and etiquette that he follows and believes that everyone else in house should too. This is confusing, because one minute he's the salty mom character who insists on getting everyone to school on time and getting good grades, (except Shuu) but then he can switch into paralyzing you with tea because lol I needed to test my new poison and you were convenient.
The whole thing about keeping the family up in the grades department links with self reflection. It all comes back to his need for perfection, because perfection is the only way you might be acknowledged.
That's who Reiji is at his core. He's bitter, complicated and cruel, but ultimately he just wants to be seen. He wants people to acknowledge and love him the way he's never experienced before.
I see him as just as lonely as the other brothers, and though people who dislike him have said that being ignored is 'not as bad as' *insert other brother's backstory here* I cant agree with the sentiment. For one thing I don't think it's right to compare different experiences and weigh them as 'more damaging.' It's just not fair to compare them. It's like in real life when you try and explain your bad experience and someone tries to one up you by voicing an even worse experience. Its not about which is worse. Different individuals experience and are affected by different things.
So in conclusion: I'm not saying - YOU SHOULD LIKE REIJI AND IF YOO DON'T HOW DARE-
I'm just saying that by digging a little deeper into a character you think you dislike, then sometimes you can unearth something surprising and similar to yourself. (Except Shou Tucker from Full Metal. That guy can burn in the pits of hell)
You don't have to like Reiji, but I think by writing him off and distancing yourself from one boys route, you ultimately loose out on understanding the whole picture of Diabolik Lovers.
This is all coming from someone who didn't used to like Reiji, and to be honest I did write him off. But after reading his routes and keeping an open mind, trying to see things from his perspective, I'm very glad I did. It gave me insight into another interesting character, and that's never a bad thing.
