How would you rank each yandere Team Bucciarati member from least to most terrifying to be considered a rival marked for death by?
This is based on my opinion, but the top two are definitely tied in terms of how scary it is because it really depends on what you find worse. I personally find it way scarier to think about a sudden violent death than one that's still going to be violent, but has you waiting for the shoe to drop. One of those you at least get to steel yourself for, and prepare mentally to die. The other one just happens. Way scarier, at least to me.
Also some of the guys on this list (MISTA) are the absolute worst to be marked as a rival for, but death itself isn't that bad. So when you asked for death specifically, I just focused on the aspect of dying.
That said, I hope you enjoy~!
++++++++++++++++
Leone is the least dangerous by far. He is still a force to be reckoned with, but he's the least dangerous because he hardly ever feels insecure enough to kill someone else for you. It's like that statistic on how cows kill more people than sharks a year: that number would change drastically if people waded waist-deep in the water with a bunch of sharks and poked them with a stick for hours every day.
Leone will bribe, blackmail, intimidate, and steal from anyone that catches him stalking you and intends to inform you--- If he's doing it right, you'd never know you've been tailed until you die. But if someone catches him watching you, or worse: A stand user discovered him stalking you because he was using Moody Blues, and insisted to do the right thing by telling you, then Leone would have to kill them. Before they can tell you.
The best option for a surprise attack like this would be a gun, but there's no guarantee that will work. And Moody Blues isn't a combat stand. Leone will taunt and beat them up just enough to entice them to chase after him as he runs away instead of telling you about the stalker.
It's cowardly, but so is killing someone after getting caught peeping. Leone takes zero pride in luring them into alleyways; with lower-rank thugs in passione that will gang up on the rival with enough "persuasive" blackmail and bribes Leones gives them in advance. If a group won't overwhelm them, it at least gives Leone enough time to call for backup from a more combat-oriented stand user like Narancia or Mista, and study how his rival's stand works.
They won't be walking out of that alley alive that night. Leone's taken too many precautions to get caught like this.

Mista is scary to be a rival of, but being marked for death is a blessing.
Mista isn't above torturing or kicking the shit out of people who really overstep their boundaries; like if they try to pick on you the same way he does. And he'll make his displeasure known. Dickheads usually back off if a guy who's clearly carrying drapes himself over their target, staking his claim with a little PDA. If they want to press the issue further, Mista will gladly take the time for some entertainment.
Mista likes taking a little time in torturing someone; get a little creative with glass shards shoved under fingernails and into the roof of their mouth-- at an angle so there's no chance of the little shards being plucked out easily. And there's something to be said in using someone's teeth to open beer bottles and stubborn pop can tabs for him, even if it means their teeth chip or they cut their gums. And usually, one night of this means you won't have to worry about them anymore. People rarely come back for seconds of Guido's sadism.
But, under rare circumstances, there comes a time when Mista can't just let someone keep meddling anymore. And kicking their ass three times didn't work... So he's gonna light 'em up.
It's not like he didn't give them a fair warning. Mista won't make it as impersonal as a drive-by, as much as the idea of being the cool guy is, he could be cooler if he delivered a kickass one-liner while breaking their back over his knee. Or said something badass as he shoves his gun's muzzle into their mouth, something Brad Pitt or Nic Cage would say to a low-time villain in an action movie, right before blowing their brains out. If the one-liner ain't cool... Then he'll just say a better one after they've died. No one will know but him, anyways.

Bruno can and will make their death public. He's already been shown to torture people on the bus and no one will say a fucking thing, and he knows that making an example by killing someone will serve as a good warning to others. Granted, Bruno will fudge a bit of the story...
He's not killing them because he likes you and they're someone you're interested in! Bruno is killing them because they stole millions of dollars from the city, acted as a money mule for a more violent organization that doesn't have this town's best interest at heart, and also just so happened to almost kill a civilian who made their payments on time because they wanted to sleep with them! This guy is the scum of the earth, even for a thug!
During their fight, Bruno will spit out these phrases that allow the audience to piece together the (fake) story on their own. Bruno is once again being a good guy doing bad things, and he's selflessly fighting against a more dangerous thug to keep everyone safe-- including that poor victim of molestation and near rape! Which, for his story to work, has to be you.
Bruno knows that he can only get away with so much, however. Torturing someone to death is fine, and he's done so before. But this story needs to have him being the righteous hero for you. Ripping them apart with his stand isn't the way to do this-- at least not in a way anyone can see. He'll use sticky fingers to unzip the internal organs inside of their body, letting them die in a way that mimics being beaten to death. Less blood spray means people won't panic as much, which makes him look better in the eyes of the people while scaring the shit out of future would-be rivals.
The public humiliation aspect of their death is horrifying; imagine being brutally beaten to death in public, and all the people who should be helping you are just watching, some with a sadistic glint in their eyes because you "deserve" this.
++++
Fugo is the scariest member, depending on what you'd find scarier: Certain death that you know is coming, and you just can't tell when it's going to happen... Or just a sudden violent death, like an aneurysm, with no idea what you did wrong. If you're more afraid of the anticipation of dying, knowing it's coming, yet unable to do anything about it but wait... Then Fugo is by far the scariest yandere of the gang to be marked for death.
Pannacotta is possessive, and on a hair trigger for violent outbursts, so he's scary to be around even if you aren't a rival marked for death. It's only worse because even before getting into range, Fugos stares them down with a look that only means whatever he wants to do is premeditated.
He won't bring out purple haze unless he's picked a fight with someone way stronger than him-- his stand could kill him too. Beating the fuck out of them the old-fashioned way is going to have to do. And it's not like he can't fight on his own. Fugo uses anything in reach to bludgeon or stab at them.
It's animalistic. Every hit or scratch Fugo gets back as he's caving their ribs in enrages him, triggering an animalistic need to kill. He tries to sit on top of their broken ribs, hoping his weight is enough to keep them pinned to the ground as he
There's no planning. If he's lucky enough to tail or lure them into somewhere secluded, it's obviously better, but if it's public, then it's public. People know better than to try to pry someone in the middle of a fight off each other-- at least if they're known members of Bruno Bucellatis's gang, and by implication: the mafia. Everyone smart will mind their own fucking business and get the fuck out. The only people stupid enough to intervene are tourists, that quickly get roped into the carnage when they grab Fugo's shoulder to pull him off the other corpse, only to wind up bludgeoned too.
+++++
If we're talking about how scary it is for a guy to just charge at you like a rabid dog with zero regard for his own safety or pain so long as he kills you, then Narancia is definitely up top in terms of fear factor.
The level of certainty in being hunted by Narancia is terrifying. You will not survive. You won't even last an hour-- once he gets it in his head that you're a nuisance to him or his darling, he is going to hunt you down. Using his stand to spray the streets with bullets, going up to random people and slamming them into walls or kicking them to the ground to see if they're who he's looking for, starting fires to smoke them out of buildings or die in the burning rubble.
Narancia at the very least has to be provoked into killing someone, so that does put a damper on how scary he is... And unlike provoking Fugo, its easier to tell if you're going to get yourself killed. Narancia isn't going to kill someone for talking to his darling, or trying to hang out with them when he's not around (because that's easy: He'll just tag along).
But that doesn't make it any less scary because if Narancia decides you're going to die, it's something he does right away. There is no warning, no way to mentally prepare yourself. It just starts. Narancia is hunting them down, screaming and swearing as he pounds himself against any doors or walls in the way, slashing wildly with his switchblade, spraying the streets with bullets, setting fires, and trying to bite them-- and they're probably not going to know why he wants to kill them suddenly, because the inciting incident maybe warrants a punch in the face, not a knife in their kneecaps while Narancia fucking bites their nose off, and slashes across their chest with his other switchblade in front of everyone, promising to slice them small enough to cram down a toilet and piss on.
Narancia is the scariest because there is no restraint. If he's killing you, it's violent and erratic.
#like LISTEN fugo is scary but narancia is worse in my opinion#like fugo is bad too because you're going to be on the edge of your seat for hours wondering if you try to leave he'll snap and kill you#but narancia has the chance of seeing you after deciding he's going to kill you (if his darling says you picked on them when he wasn't arou#d) so he just goes fucking Cujo the second he sees you#my writing!#yandere ranking#yandere leone abbacchio#yandere leone#yandere panacotta fugo#yandere fugo#yandere narancia ghirga#yandere narancia#yandere bruno#yandere mista#yandere guido mista#yandere jojo#yandere jjba prt 5#yandere jjba#yandere jojo's bizarre adventure#yandere bruno bucciarati#death tw#death#yandere x reader#yandere#I’m experimenting with new tags

I hope this follows the rules! But is it okay if I request a scenario where Giorno has a nightmare of turning into Diavolo and S/O comforts him when he wakes up?
My first request in so long, what an honor!
You're surely a fan of this scenario, I've seen you requesting it quite a lot of times.
Either way, let's get into it!
Esci dalla mia testa
06/04/2004
Midnight had just struck, it had already been three years.
Three years since Giovanna had become the new Don of Passione, and since the former had been punished for his actions.
But in reality, time had lost meaning to the young boy years ago. Everything he did, it felt so...Mechanic, so frivolous, simply keeping track of the days in order not to forget an important reunion.
He buried himself under thousands of piles of work, which only seemed to grow bigger and bigger with every day that passed. This was supposed to be his dream, his greatest goal, and he had reached it at such a young age.
But then...Why did he feel so empty?
He was supposed to be happy, after all the sacrifices that had been made to arrive so far, he had to be grateful for everything that's been given to him.
But he couldn't be, because those sacrifices were not his own, because innocent lives had been taken away, because he had come.
He truly was no different than the man whom he had condemned to suffer for all eternity. But he had to clinch his teeth, and keep on going with his head high, for the few people that were still by his side. Most importantly, for his partner.
As everyone around him had found a significant other, pressured by his best friend, he had decided to reluctantly indulge in this so called 'romance'.
And when you two finally met, he felt like a tiny fickle of faith had risen inside of his heart again.
You listened to him, to his struggles, to his doubts, to each one of his complaints like the were the only worries in the world. He failed to express how much you meant to him, after those...'Accidents', he had become even more close-up about his feelings.
You were very well aware of his workaholic tendencies, as most nights, you were the one to ask him to put down all the documents and get some rest
And this...Was one of those.
As you rapidly fell into a deep sleep, exhausted from your own day, you felt a soft hand gently caressing your forehead. You were so warm and comforting, like a puppy, the only one able to give him hope in this twisted world.
But sadly, your presence could not magically make all his guilt and insecurities go away, and he had accepted that.
After contemplating your dreaming figure for a minute, he slowly closed his eyes, wishing to escape, just for a short while, from all those crushing responsibilities and expectations.
His consciousness started to slip away, he felt ready to conclude another day. Until, he heard whispering. Weak, confused, peculiar sounds, he could not understand a word of what those voices were trying to tell him, they were too far from the boy.
But they wouldn't stop. Delicate, constant and unbearable like the sound of a drip of water falling into a sink. They were playing with the Don's patience, a sleeping lion that should not disturbed, unless you wanted to be torn to pieces.
His mind immediately connected the situation to a possible Stand attack, nothing out of his normality, per se, but he was not concerned for himself. You were still peacefully resting, clinging to your sheets, it was a quite cold night. He wouldn't have let a single soul cause any harm to his darling, she was his only true happiness, his sunshine.
In the moment he stepped outside of the bedroom, what he was faced with sent a frozen shiver down his spine, as he brought his hand to his chest, to control his heartbeat.
There were four doors, floating in absolute darkness. A weak stream of light, that seemed to be originated from nothingness, illuminated each one of them singularly.
The whispering got louder and louder, faint giggles could occasionally be heard. The young one turned around to look at the entrance of this cursed place, the one he had just walked through.
But there was nothing there.
And so, like a captured prey that had nothing left to lose, he ventured himself into the first door, only to be met with a monochromatic version of Fugo. He was breathing heavily, desperately sobbing and all curled up on himself, on the shore of the same place where the rest of the gang had decided to betray Passione.
Giorno was standing on top of the water, unable to move a single inch of his body.
"Look at what you did"
A deep voice murmured in his ear. One he hadn't heard in a long time, one he wished he could have erased from his memories, that infected his mind and was more deadly than the sobbing boy's stand.
Diavolo.
"Me? Fugo chose not to leave, it was his own fault if-"
"If he was abandoned by everyone he loved? Do you have any idea of how selfish it sounds?"
The boy hesitated for a brief moment, staring at those warm tears falling into the canal.
"It was just...A temporary matter, he rejoined Passione, he's doing better now"
"My, it must have surely been fun to prove your loyalty to someone who caused the death of half of the people you cared about, after refusing to participate in his little suicide mission"
The blond's legs started to tremble, mantainig his composure was starting to look impossible.
"They...They didn't die because of me, they sacrificed themselves for a noble cause, for making Italy a better place, they wished it as much as I did"
The man contained his laughter, then he continued.
"Is that so? Why don't say that in their faces then?"
The image of the lonely boy disappeared, together with everything in the room. Giorno was back to that black space, but the door was now missing.
And the next one...Had nothing better reserved for him.
He found himself in the island of Sardegna, the only sound that could be heard were the small waves that met with the coast.
He knew perfectly why he was here. He took a closer look at the seaside, there were some footsteps printed on it. He felt a knot in his stomach at the thought of where they would have brought him.
Abbacchio's lifeless body was laying on top of a rock, surrounded by dead flowers. His entire torso had been torn apart, and yet... His corpse was smiling. A tiny, melancholic smile on his purple lips.
"Do you still have the courage to repeat what you said?"
Diavolo began, in a mocking tone.
"When he became part of the Organization, he was at his lowest, he had nowhere else to go, every path he took brought him nothing but sorrow and disappointment. The only thing that gave him comfort was following Bucciarati...And so, with that excuse, I transformed him in one of minions"
The thought of calling out Gold Experience hit Giorno's mind, but he knew that there was no point of lying to himself. The albino was gone, his soul had left his body long ago.
"I don't need you to tell me just how disgusting you are"
He said, his voice was filled with a suffocated rage, as he knelt over to look closer at his former companion.
"Abbacchio couldn't have cared less about killing me, he came with you because Bucciarati did, because he so desperately wanted to follow him, he felt like scum at the thought of no longer having him in his life"
The boy with emerald eyes felt an hand touching him on his shoulder, but there was no one there, except for himself.
"You exploited his dependence from the man, and used at your advantage, just as I did"
He stopped for a brief moment, enjoying the desperation in the other's eyes.
"But at least, he didn't die under my guidance
And with that, the second room disappeared as well. The boy contemplated whether to remain in that hellish void or to move forward, the image of what was waiting on the other side hurt way too much, his juvenile soul was starting to crush.
But he couldn't remain there, it would have meant giving up to Diavolo's twisted games, seeing him break down was exactly what he was waiting for.
He turned the doorknob, when he felt something humid staining his clothes: there was fresh blood streaming from his lady bug pins. The trail that it formed on the ground invited him to follow its path. He knew he couldn't decline, none of what he wanted seemed to matter in this place.
A metallic railing stood in front of him, his entire pins bled so much to the point of consuming themselves. An horrific scream coming from nowhere and everywhere at the same time echoed through the room, as he directed his gaze to the top of the grey construction.
"What a shame...Oh well, he was the most disposable member of the team anyway"
Narancia's corpse was resting among dozens of spikes, his faded orange bandage slipped from his dark hair, landing right next to Giorno's feet.
"Oh Narancia...So young, so naive, just another victim of this unfair world. That's what you're thinking, isn't that right, Giovanna?"
"This is why people like him should not be involved in this business..."
"Mh? And why is that? Childish minds are the easiest to manipulate"
Ignoring his last statement, the other leaned down to pick up the bandage, but his hand went through it. His body was starting to feel dizzy, like it belonged to somebody else.
"Not answering won't make me go away, the damage has already been done, after all"
"Narancia should have NEVER joined Passione in the first place. He could have gone to school...Have a normal life, but-"
"But he died for your cause before he could. What he said before I activated King Crimson melted my heart a little, how cute...He really trusted you that much to the point of thinking that he would have come out of it alive"
The railing emanated a cracking sound. For a second, he was afraid it would have fallen off, causing him to get impaled as well.
"I took away his chance of living an happy, standard life when he decided to work for me, and you did the same, allowing him to come along with the rest of your team"
The small boy suddenly faded away, together with the rest.
"But at least, he didn't die under my guidance"
At last, there it was: only one room left. Despite how deeply he cared about each one of his former team members, the premonition of what would have come next was more painful than everything he's seen so far altogether.
He sat down, staring at the door from a distance, his eyes emptier than the ones of his old allies. They say that eyes are the window of the soul, and nothing else could have been used to describe his inner turmoil. Nothing but a faded, dull green, testimony of all his battle scars and the survivor guilt that he tried so much to repress.
Perhaps his eternal punishment had arrived: having the chance to confront his inner demons, to move on, to show how fearless he was.
...But never truly grasping the idea of freedom, never facing and accepting what really happened, he was never given the time to. So much had oppressed him all at once, he couldn't keep up with it.
He was a child, a child that had to grow too fast.
But then, someone came out of the door. A bittersweet figment of his imagination, that made his heart stop beating for a second.
The one he hadn't seen in years, the one he had tried to subdue the most, the one that showed him for the first time in his life what love was, stood in front of him. There was no hole in his chest, no sign of blood or wounds, a reassuring smile accompanied his face, as he held out his hand to the grieving kid.
"What are you doing all alone in here? The others are worried for you. Let's not make them wait any longer, shall we?"
Giorno ignored his help, his gaze was stuck on that endless floor. He didn't have the courage to look at the other, his presence alone felt like a sadistic joke.
He didn't look sad, depressed, miserable... He was just...Tired.
He wanted to cry those tears that he had denied in the last three years, he wanted to yell at that illusion to leave him alone, that wasn't the real Bruno, it couldn't be.
But, as he impeded any of this from coming out, something he didn't think he would have felt in a thousand of years struck him.
Bucciarati hugged him.
A tight, comforting hug like one of a mother, that he was waiting for his child to reciprocate. The latter's breathing became heavier and heavier with every moment that passed, as weak laments rapidly turned into audible sobs.
"There's no reason to be sad now, I'm real, you can feel it, can't you?"
"Y-You...You're here...But h-how is it p-possible?"
The brunette chuckled, the sound of his laughter was more comforting than an angel's voice.
"It isn't"
Giovanna's stand penetrated the man's torso, but its arm...It was not Gold Experience's. It had a checkered red and white pattern that extended in its entirety, and it possessed an amount of physical strength which was out of any possible expectations for the creature able to give life.
"Foolish child, I thought you were better than this, I'd lie if I said I wasn't a bit disappointed"
The sound of Bruno's corpse falling to the ground resonated through that empty space, as the last door vanished. A puddle of blood originated from his horrible injury, it was big enough for the boy to see his reflection in.
"You are no better than me under any point of view. We took advantage of his kindness, we used him as a simple pawn for our own gain. The only difference between us, is that I was not manipulating enough to convince him to join my side voluntarily. He was a tool to the both of us, but you were the one who caused his demise"
The mirror that had been created showed two people, but the transparent figure of Diavolo immediately ceased to be visible. The only one left was Giorno, though his reflection seemed to mutate with every second that passed.
His blond curls started to change shape, turning into a fuchsia mess, with dirty green stains on it. His eyes had a killer, maniacal look inside of them, his pupils got smaller in horror. His entire body structure was different. He looked older, more muscular, his clothes, too, were no longer his own.
"Mista loved him, and you killed him"
"Fugo loved him, and you killed him"
"Trish loved him, and you killed him"
"Narancia loved him, and you killed him"
"Abbacchio loved him, and you killed him"
"You loved him, and you killed him"
...
"Giorno? Giorno please, wake up!"
You screamed, your sleep was interrupted by the sound of your boyfriend hyperventilating, as he desperately held you to himself, still trapped in that horrible dream.
You sighed in relief when he abruptly opened his eyes, so swollen and red from all the tears he's shed.
"Another nightmare, uh?"
You asked, gently caressing his back to try and calm him down, he was as vulnerable as a baby that runs to his parents after having a bad dream. Waking up in the middle of the night to comfort him is something you had grown accustomed to, but you had never seen him this shaken up.
He slightly nodded in response, grabbing the top of your pajamas. You put an hand behind his head, making him rest on your chest, and kissed him softly on his forehead.
You could hear him murmuring something, you couldn't tell wherever he was talking to you, or to himself.
"I-I'm sorry...I'm sorry...I'm s-so sorry..."
He repeated like a broken record, you could barely make out what he was trying to say.
"Tesoro, you've done nothing wrong, there's no one you owe your apologizes to"
The boy raised his head slightly, intertwining your fingers with his, he needed to feel sure that this was not another tremendous trick of his mind.
"See? I'm here, you don't have to be afraid. I know that you feel unworthy of my feelings, but there is no one out there that deserves love more than you do. Nobody is perfect, Giorno, you did everything that was in your power to help them"
"But I...I was the one w-who put them in danger in the first place"
"No, you were not. You all shared the same ideals, you saved them from the oppression they were put in"
As you swept those remaining drops away from his face, you could still feel his entire body shaking like a dried leaf in a windy day of autumn.
"N-None of this would have happened if I didn't come along..."
"Exactly, none of them would have known what it meant to be free. I...Understand that the sacrifices that were made are not easy to forget, but blaming yourself like this...Do you really think that's what they would have wanted?"
Not receiving an answer, you laid down once again, still holding him in your arms. You forced a tiny smile, kissing him delicately on his lips, and whispered in his ear that everything would have been okay.
But, in reality...You felt you were trying to reassure yourself as well. This was not something you could have solely resolved through staying by his side, healing from this would have taken a lot of time, but...At least, you could offer some temporary safety, and it seemed to be enough for the time being.
In fact, after some minutes, everything seemed to cease. The boy fell asleep once again, this time with the knowledge that you were there to protect him.
You sighed, praying for your darling to finally find some peace.

Mrs. Bucciarati | Bruno Bucciarati x Fem! Reader | JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
┊❥ Part 6 - Down Time
MASTERLIST
✧『Fandom』: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
✧『Character』: Bruno Bucciarati
✧『Word Count』: 3,129 words 16,714 characters
✧『Summary』: The group kills time as they wait for Giorno and Mista to reach their destination.
The group quickly made its way back on the road to Venezia. Mista, Fugo, and Giorno were on the surface, driving the car while everyone else stayed inside to protect Trish as a second line of defense.
Inside the turtle, you had been sitting in between Narancia and Abbacchio. You had sat there first because Narancia wanted to show you something in the magazine he was reading but Abbacchio made it awkward by sitting next to you.
You had taken notice because previously, he was trying to avoid you.
Bruno was sitting on the other side of the table, his head tucked into the laptop that was used for communications. You wanted to talk but you felt like that would be distracting since he wanted to focus.
You didn’t know why but often, you would think of the first time the two of you met and the events that followed. You used to cringe at the memory of it but now that you were sure about your feelings towards him, it was wholesome.
One of your favorite memories with him was during a “charity” event your father held a few years ago. It wasn’t actually for anything charity-related.
Just another excuse to greet Italian capos. You hated it. You hated how corrupt your father was. He had a way of keeping investors while still doing dirty work.
Amongst them was Polpo from Passione in Italy and with him was a young Bruno Bucciarati. He was 17 at the time and you had just turned 16. Polpo agreed to take Bruno with him after much begging on his part. The boy just wanted to see you again.
That night, you were completely upset. Your father wanted you to sing since he and much of the staff agreed you had a nice singing voice. You were too nervous and honestly, you couldn’t even see yourself singing well at all. This upset him and he made you stay by him all night.
The ball was boring until Bruno had arrived. He found you quickly and wanted to talk. He figured that you were being held hostage by your father and wanted to help.
When we walked over, he cleared his throat. “Excuse me.” He said, grabbing your father’s attention. Your father had been speaking to a popular district attorney.
“It’s an honor to have been invited here, Mr. (l/n).” Bruno bowed, trying to seem as gentlemanly as possible.
Your father finished up his conversation before nodding the attorney away and taking a sip of his drink. “Oh, Bruno Bucciarati. I didn’t know Polpo was bringing you. I’m sure I only sent out one invitation.” Your father joked, even laughing when no one found it funny.
You just tried to tune him out, fiddling with your dress that was the same color as your father’s tuxedo.
Bruno humored him, laughing as well. “Well, you see, I couldn’t pass up the chance of hearing (y/n) sing so I had Polpo make room for one more.” His eyes lingered over to you. Bruno seemed so friendly and soft but he was tall for his age and it was almost intimidating…
You looked away, blushing after seeing the innocent twinkle in his eyes when he saw you were all dressed up. Normally, you were wearing loungewear since you were always inside. You looked so stunning!
“That’s too bad because little (y/n) over here decided that she didn’t want to help me pull any investors and she’s not singing at all tonight.” Your father lazily waved his hand in your direction, sipping more of his wine.
“I don’t believe I can sing. I’ve never had any lessons.” You spoke up for the first time. Your father narrowed his eyes at you. “Then after tonight, we’re getting you some.”
You sighed, looking away from your father and off to the side. This was so awkward… you wanted to leave.
Bruno saw what was unfolding and intervened before things could escalate.
“There’s nothing to worry about, Mr. (l/n). I’m sure (y/n) has an amazing voice. She’s just shy and there’s nothing wrong with that. Perhaps, I can help her build her confidence.” He offered his hand to you. You just stared at it.
Your father sighed. “I suppose so. I trust you, Bruno.”
Your father then let you spend the night with him and it was a lot better than just standing around.
All night, Bruno had been such a gentleman and even slow danced with you when no one was watching. You weren't very good and neither was he but you still found it enjoyable.
You had been reminiscing about the past when your thoughts were interrupted by Bruno who had been speaking to Abbacchio.
Bruno had gotten a message on the laptop asking Abbacchio to use his stand to reveal a message that was left behind.
Everyone had gathered around and you got up to look too.
Abbacchio decided to go back 15 hours. The person Moody Blues took the shape off was of the older man you had seen when you all first picked up Trish.
He explained more instructions for the team to follow. You felt so out of place. Everything about this was so bizarre. The moment you get to be with Bruno, you get wrapped up in some elaborate plan. You haven’t sat down with him since you arrived.
When you came to, you saw the image of Mr. Pericolo with a gun to his head. You had only zoned out for a moment! What happened?
Pericolo explained that because of his influence, the enemy knows that he’s helping Bruno deliver Trish. He isn’t a stand user so he doesn’t know how he could defend himself.
His only escape was killing himself before they got to him. It was tragic but these are things you sign up for in Passione.
He pulled the trigger and you saw red before Bruno hugged you to his chest and turned around to block the image of what you almost saw.
You tried to resist but he only held you tighter until the image of it was gone.
“Oh my god!!” You heard Narancia yell.
Trish and Abbacchio were speechless. You had wished that Bruno could’ve used his energy to protect the eyes of one of the children, especially Trish, but it was over now.
You wanted to cry but you were in so much shock. You felt like after everything was over, you would need some kind of therapy. It’s only been a few days and you’ve endured so much trauma. You were just a human.
“Bruno…” you tried to loosen his grip. “…let go.”
He squeezed you again when you had said his name but then without a word, he let go of you. He stood up to talk but his eyes were darkened and he was visibly sweating.
“Mr. Pericolo.”
You were dazed for a moment by his behavior but then you looked over at Trish who must have been traumatized.
You walked over and grabbed her hand. “I’m sorry that you had to see that. Are you okay?” You asked, sweetly. Her eyes darted over to you. She was shaking and sweating as well. It hurt you that she had to deal with all of this at such a young age.
“M-mhm.” She nodded and gave your hand a tight squeeze. “It’s going to be okay.” You told her.
You then realize that you would have to comfort Narancia, Fugo, and Giorno, as well. Being a mother figure wasn’t easy. You felt so obligated to be there for all of them but it was impossible.
You didn’t know how helpful Bruno was towards the younger members but you could only hope he took their mental health into account.
Before you could ask everyone about how they felt, Bruno had sent Mista and Giorno to drive while the rest of you stayed inside the turtle.
You couldn’t figure out why Bruno kept sheltering you. He wanted you by his side or inside the turtle at all times. You wanted to be able to help him protect everyone. You were tired of him acting like he could do everything on his own.
It was hard trying to get a good word in since everyone was in such close proximity. To everyone else, the way you and Bruno interacted was similar to parents. All of the kids had prominent parental issues so the two of you served as a support system when they needed it.
You were sitting next to Trish and you were unsure if you should give her space or make yourself available to speak to. You thought that maybe you should use this time to talk to Bruno but Trish had actually spoken first.
“Mrs. Bucciarati, what was your life like before you came here?” Her voice was pretty monotone as always but you could tell she was sad.
“My life? Well, I was pretty much a homebody. I just tended to my garden and practiced Italian.” You answered.
“Practicing Italian? Why?” She looked at you before realizing you weren’t a native Italian. It’s probably why your dialect sounded a bit different than most. You had a more formal way of speaking compared to the others.
“I’m from America and I know Bruno because I’m the daughter of a boss as well.” You explained with a smile. She didn’t reply to you. She just stared at you with her mouth opened a small bit. Maybe she could finally relate to someone.
You then turned your attention to Bruno who had been using the laptop. You were so worried about the boys. It didn’t feel right for you to send Mista and Giorno out on their own.
“Bruno.” You got up from your spot with Trish and went over to Bruno. You didn’t want to create a scene, so just in case things escalated, you spoke in English.
“I know you have faith in the boys, but is it really wise to send them out on their own? I could’ve gone with them.” You said down next to him, not really interested in what he was doing enough to look.
He just hummed before saying. “I don’t want you to be separated from me anymore. The last two times we got separated, you were hurt and every time we’ve been attacked, you were hurt.”
You huffed. “But you told me you were proud of me. You still don’t believe I can handle myself?”
“Cara mia, I know you can handle yourself but I just can’t have you hurt anymore. You were only taught to fight to a certain extent. If either of us makes a mistake then you could be killed.” His voice was firm. He’s never spoken to you in this tone before and it almost embarrassed you.
“But we have made mistakes. We both have. I’ve done my part in helping. I just still haven’t proven myself to you.” You turned away from him, upset that he was babying you and belittling the training you went through just for him.
Bruno look over at you who had been completely facing the other way. He reached over to your shoulder but you lightly jerked it away.
Why couldn’t you just understand that he was trying to protect you? Was it really wise to promise Giorno this ridiculous plan? Your first impression of Italy has just been filled with bloodshed. Although, if he didn’t then he never would have been Capo.
How long would it have taken him to reach the status of Capo normally?
Bruno pushed those thoughts out of his head. Maybe he was smothering you a little. It was just so hard not seeing you as a delicate flower anymore. He wished that he could’ve seen you more.
As an attempt to show affection, he reached out to your hand that has been free and resting on the sofa. The tips of his fingers brushed yours lightly but you had quickly curled them up, hiding them in a fist.
You didn’t seem to want to hold hands either.
Across the room, Fugo and Narancia were pondering on what you two could’ve been talking about. They didn’t know much English either. It was easy for the others to pay so much attention to you because of how new you were to them.
“Hey, Fugo, you know some English right? What do you think they’re talking about?” Narancia asked. “I’ve never seen Bucciarati so soft!” He hoarsely whispered into his ear.
Fugo, who was trying to rest his eyes, was getting annoyed at the boy. “No, Narancia, I don’t know what they’re saying. I’m not going to violate their privacy either. If it were meant for us to hear, then they wouldn’t have changed languages in the first place.” He explained. This made Narancia frown and retract himself.
You figured that maybe you should talk to Abbacchio for advice. You went over to the purple schemed man and Bruno’s eyes followed you curiously.
He watched as you talked to Leone with confidence and not anything at all like he expected. At first, when you first met them in Naples, he could sense your fear for that man but now you didn’t seem like you were at all.
“Leone,” You sighed and his head snapped over to you. You jumped at his reaction. “A-Abbacchio, I mean, sorry.” You raised your hands in defense and began to sweat. His neutral expression didn’t change. Deep down he didn’t mind your voice saying his name.
“As Bruno always called the shots this way? Sending the children out?” You asked softly.
This annoyed Abbacchio but still, his expression didn’t change. Of course, you would want to talk to him about Bruno of all people. Since you’ve been here, it’s just been about you and him and can’t even last 2 minutes apart when you’re just a foot away from him.
He knew that the only reason he felt this way was that he was jealous. He was probably just jealous of Bucciarati the whole time. What would it take for him to get a woman like you?
“Yeah. Always been that way.” He replied. “They know that they’re doing. Nothing new.”
A small gasp left your mouth. Everyone seemed so uncaring of the safety of the boys. But this didn’t have to mean the end.
You just had to be strong enough to protect them yourself. “I see.” That was all you had said. You didn’t care if it didn't seem like Bruno had faith in you or that there were so many children or how nonchalant Leone was about it. You had a stand too and you knew how to use it.
“Th-That’s all.” You smiled nervously before giving the man his space. You scooted further away, not wanting to move around too much and irritate everyone.
When you looked up, you saw that Bruno was just staring at you, watching. He looked upset but not angry. You wanted to comfort him but you were still upset with him. You’ve worked so hard and it’s like it doesn’t even matter to him.
For some hours, you occupied yourself with a magazine. You tested yourself by reading Italian fashion articles and keeping notes of things you wanted to buy with Bruno’s money. You made sure to bookmark pages with nice shoes and dresses you’d like to try on.
Your actions were interrupted by feeling a portion of the couch next to you sink. You looked to your left to see it was Bruno with the computer resting on his lap. He didn’t say a word and only shifted his weight so that his thigh was touching your exposed one.
This made you blush, so hard that physically acknowledged that he had done this when his goal was to be smooth with it.
“B-Bruno-” You whispered. Bruno ignored you, resting a free hand on the thigh closest to him. He leaned over, so close that the message you got was that he was trying to kiss you.
Really? In front of everyone? What’s gotten into him?
“Are you upset with me?” He whispered into your ear.
Your face heated up. You would feel his breath hitting your ear.
“N-No.” You replied, turning your head to him.
His eyes were narrowed and his face frowned. He leaned in further but he didn’t kiss you. He…licked your face?!
You yelped, breaking contact with him. What the hell was that!?
“To me, it seems like you’re lying.”
“Huh? Is this that lie detection thing you told me about? I thought that was a joke…” You wiped the faint sign of saliva on your face. “Warn me next time, okay?”
He chuckled before kissing you softly. “I thought it would cheer you up.” He said in between breaths.
You kissed back tenderly, your cheeks burning at his actions. Was this a dream?
Your minor make-out session was cut short when Narancia had brought you both back to reality.
Butterflies grew inside of you as you covered your face and turned away. You were always such a shy and delicate flower and now he knew that he could tease you with a public display of affection.
Narancia had been volunteering to be the one to go out to be on the surface so that he could use Aureo Smith to find Mista and Giorno.
You parted from Bruno, enjoying the remaining time just leaning against him. His body was warm and his cologne was faint with a hint of sweat from all the intense fighting.
You were an odd couple but the love was undeniable.
Mista and Giorno were found. Mista had sustained a lot of injuries, which the blonde male healed with his stand.
You played your role and scolded Mista at his lack of awareness to which he replied by calling you “Mom.”
“You should be more careful. You can’t always expect your wounds to be fixed. Giorno can’t help you forever!” You tapped his forehead aggressively.
“Hey, Hey! Yeah, I get it, okay, mom?” He swatted your hand away. This made you giggle.
“Mom? Where’d that come from?” You asked, chuckling to yourself.
“ ‘Cause, you’re annoying like one.” He yelled at you with faint pink dust on his cheeks.
You were the first female figure in his life that worried about him the way you did. It was very easy for them to get attached to you since they were all from broken homes.
It has only been a few days but with Bruno’s tough love and your soft and gentle nature, you two were scaffolding for what having parents was like. Minus the killing of the mafioso members pursuing you, of course.
It was unfortunate that such a cute “family” would come to an end.

Risotto Nero - A Price to Pay
{Being the only girl in the Bucci Gang has its perks. Your familia loved you, & were fiercely protective- but what’re they supposed to do when another Capo decides to have you to himself? He’s gotta have you.}
{one way or another.}
_____________________________________
“Bucciarati were almost to Napoli, should I head straight for the city or the safe house?”
Fugo’s sharp voice woke you from your nap. You & the team have been traveling for days tracking three stand users who’ve been smuggling contraband out of Passioné’s grasp. So far, the trail has led to Napoli- and to make it worse, no one knows what they look like. But luckily, you had the name of the man in charge of the operation.
“Go to the safe house. They’re not going to move anything in broad daylight, & we haven’t been able to stop for an actual break.” Bruno circled the location on Fugo’s map. “We can spare a few hours.”
You looked to your right to see Mista asleep against the window, drool slowly coming out of his mouth. You would’ve laughed if you had any right to, with the glimpse of yourself you caught in the rear view you were surprised no one woke you up with a camera flash.
You stretched your neck side to side, your movements slowly bringing your body back to life. You could hear Giorno, Abbachio, and Narancia gently start stirring to life as Bruno continued to talk about the location, not being able to keep in their loud ass yawns. Well, honestly, that was only Narancia’s problem.
Bruno swiveled the seat to face the back, his perfect black bob not moving an inch while he does it. “Now that we’re in Napoli, it’s time to be debriefed about our current situation. Would one of you please wake Mista?”
Abbachio wasted no time to slap Mista in the back of the head, causing Mista to lurch forward with a yelp. His hand immediately went to the back of his head as he whipped around towards Abbachio. “What the hell, you dumbass!! What was that for??”
“For debriefing you idiot, pay attention.”
You giggled, resulting in a hearty “Shut up!” from Mista. After Bruno’s scolding, he started to explain the facts.
“The intelligence we received stated that the man controlling the contraband operation is a Capo. His name is Risotto Nero, the leader of La Squandra. He’s been known to defy the Familia before, so it’d make sense that he would be the one running this show.”
Bruno’s face slowly grimmed as he continued, pausing after he spoke. “While he is a traitor to the Familia, he is also one of the most powerful Capo’s in the organization. Not just because of his title, but because of his stand.”
The tension grew substantially.
“What’s his stand, Boss? Does anyone have an idea?” Narancias question rung in the air like a bell.
“No. Because no ones lived to tell about it.”
The chill that ran down your spine was unnerving. No one knows what his stand is?? No one has even the slightest idea?? How can that be?
“Boss, how’re we supposed to find this cazzo when all we have to go on is a name?” you ask, “How’re we supposed to defend ourselves against a stand that no one has ever beat?”
“By keeping your stand close. Giorno’s Golden Wind can sense life, and Narancia can track anything that breathes. Abbachio’s Moody Jazz could very well be our ace in the hole, if we can simply find where he’s been- but that’s hard to do when you’re following a ghost.”
God, that wasn’t reassuring.
Soon, Fugo’s road rage landed you at the safe house, a 3 story cabin in the middle of the woods. Mista’s excitement blossomed as soon as he saw the giant flatscreen through the window, everyone else’s did when they finally got to leave the stuffy ass van.
Abbachio helped you out of the car, letting you hang on to his arm until you’ve cracked all the bones you needed to feel relief. “Thank you Abba, I’ve been needing to do that for a while now!”
Abbachio threw you a smirk. “Yeah yeah don’t get gross on me.” He could throw up any facade he wants- you see right through his badass tough guy wall. You gave him a grin back, & grabbed your duffel bag out from under your seat. You looked back to see that the other boys had already made it inside, Bruno & Giorno already setting up the radio & laptops to start working.
Bruno def wasn’t playing around when he was looking for a place to buy. This was the nicest cabin you had ever seen, pure dark wood walls with marble flooring, a grand staircase with a BEAUTIFUL bay window?? Capo DEFINITELY had perks.
***************
[3:33 AM]
You bolted awake as thunder and lightning surrounded your bedroom. Your mind frantic as the open curtains revealed howling winds and light flashing through the skies.
You took some deep breaths and calmed yourself down. It’s only a storm, nothing to- why was your door open?
Adrenaline started to churn in your stomach as you swung your legs over your bed. You stepped carefully towards the hallway, peeking down to see that everyone else’s doors were open too. You tip toed down, peering into Bruno & Abbachio’s rooms, seeing them both empty; and upon further inspection, so were Giorno’s and Mista’s. Narancia and Fugo’s following suit.
Where the fuck is everyone, and why are you not with them?
You back tracked down the hall, your legs shaking as you slowly walked down the stairs.
Were you being attacked?
The lightning lit your path down the stairs as you kept your eyes peeled for anything out of place. As you came down to the first platform, the stench of blood overwhelmed your senses, making your eyes grown wide and your hand go over your mouth and nose. This cannot be real, why is blood in the air??
“You know when I first saw you, I thought you were an angel among the saints & sinners of Napoli.”
Your hand gripped the banister as you stood in defense, looking everywhere for the source of the deep voice. Who was that?? Where the fuck is your team??
“& Then I saw Ghiaccio getting in a fight with another Mafioso. I thought it was just one of Bucciaratis boys, but oh was i so close yet so wrong.”
You slowly made your way down stairs, “I guess your a big fan of mine then, quite a shame I can’t see where you are for such occasion.”
A deep chuckle resonated through the estate. “Our life together will be wonderful, I am very sure.”
“The fuck are you-“
Your stomach dropped.
The blood. The gashes. The gore.
All of the boys were hanging by their hands, bloody chains protruding from their wrists and connecting them to the ceiling. Blood oozed from Fugos mouth, while Narancias unconscious form clearly had a broken nose and extreme loss of blood. They all were simply.. hanging by a thread.
“Jesus fucking Christ.. you’re fuc-fucking kidding..”
Invisible hands hold onto your sides as your body freezes in shock, the pressure and heat of them telling you they were quite large. Your heart beater out of your chest as you felt a muscular set of abs press against your back, those hands weaving over your chest to hold down your arms.
“Do you see, Amore? Do you see how powerful I am compared to them?” Your eyes tore away from the bloodied boys, closing them as tightly as you could. “When I saw how powerful you were and how you carried yourself, I knew we were soul mates. I had to have you. I had to have your body, your mind,” His hand rubbed gently against your clothes crotch, shooting heated adrenaline to your core, “& your pretty little cunt just full of my kids.”
Your cheeks turned violently red as you staggered to breathe. “Who..are you..”
Lips pressed against your temple as a deep chuckle vibrated your body. “Darling, I’m the whole reason you’re out here.”
Your heart froze.
“Risotto?? It’s you?!”
Suddenly two black clothed muscular arms appeared around you, one of them tilting your chin back to reveal two black and red eyes staring straight at you. “Surprised, Cara?”
You started to panic, the danger of your situation settling in. Bruno, Giorno, all of the boys, were out of action. There was no help for you, and you couldn’t summon your stand like this. Was this simply the end? Was he just saving you for last for his sick fantasy??
“Please.. what do you even want from me??”
Risotto put your hands behind your back and tied them together. “What I’ve wanted since I saw you; a life. With just you & me.” He placed you on a chair, kneeling before you with his hands tracing you and your skin. Your breath hitched as he ran over certain spots, his eyes growing darker and darker the more you react. You had to do something, you couldn’t let your family be killed over someone’s obsession over you.
“I’m going with you whether I like it or not, right?”
Risotto chuckled a humorless laugh. “A smart one! Oh i like that, I like that. Maybe our kids will get that trait.”
Dread sunk in your stomach. There’s no escape, is there?
“If I go with you, willingly with no struggle- will you allow me to use my stand on them so they atleast don’t die of their injuries?”
Risotto stared at you, looking for any sign of betrayal, but he wasn’t gonna find anything. You knew there wasn’t a way out, and you knew you didn’t stand a chance in hell against him. Atleast if you can save the boys, there wouldn’t be any death.
“Fine. But one slip up, Amore, and I’ll make your condition worse than theirs.”
Risotto unbinded your arms, helping you stand up and get your balance again. You walked towards the boys until you were a few meters away from them. You could sense their shallow breathing from your powers, you knew if you were gonna do this you had to act fast.
“Iron Maiden.”
A steam punk victorian girl emerged behind you, wielding a glowing white scythe, its jet black hair flowing behind her.
“Scythes Blessing.”
Iron Maiden hovered to the front of you, your scythe glowing bright white as it swung a mass of energy towards them all. Their wounds mended together, the blood returning to their bodies. After the act was done, the boys passed out on the floor, surely to wake up in a few hours.
“Now, we start our life, my sweet angel.”
Tears silently went down your cheeks as you turned to the beautiful, evil man. His eyes showed a softness towards you as he extended his giant hand. Your dainty one took his, holding it as he led you to the door.
“Where are you taking me?”
Risotto swung open the huge doors to reveal the storm still actively raging, his matte black sports car in the circle drive. “Home, cara. Our home.”
You hurried to get in his front seat, Risotto closing your door and going to the drivers door. He got in, revving the car to life and pulled the car out of the drive way. Risotto placed his hand on your thigh as he took you away from the estate. Your heart hurt for your boys, but this was for the best, right? Atleast this way they’re safe. They’re safe.
“Say your goodbyes Cara. Your life starts over with me.”
“Only me.”

Title: It Starts Like This, Ch. 7
Rating: Teen and Up
Fandom: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Vento Aureo
Pairing(s): BruAbba
Summary: Trish freezes in the doorway, mid-stride, but she doesn’t turn around. Her shoulders are tense, and she looks prepared to bolt at the slightest hint of trouble. It adds weight to his ongoing theory that she’s been steering clear of him, and now it’s time to confirm whether or not he knows why.
Notes: Turns out being dead has a bit of a long term effect. Who would have thought?
This fic got away from me, so I'm breaking it down by character interaction (sort of). This is Trish's chapter, which should be the second to last! I'll still write in this universe in the future, though they'll likely be one-shots going forward.
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6 | Part 7 | Part 8
-
Bucciarati steps into the kitchen, expecting it to be empty. As far as he knew, the only three people at home were Narancia, Leone, and himself. The former is busy doing his homework in the library, while Bruno’s just left Leone’s presence to explore the contents of the pantry. Alone. Or so he’d thought.
A blur of pink nearly startles Bucciarati as badly as he must scare Trish, considering the way she nearly jumps out of her seat at the dining room table. Rather than sit back down, she’s scrambling up to weave past him. “Oh! Bucciarati! I’m sorry, I can- I can go,” she says, moving almost too quickly for Bucciarati to recover in time to catch her, much less speak.
“Wait, Trish.”
Trish freezes in the doorway, mid-stride, but she doesn’t turn around. Her shoulders are tense, and she looks prepared to bolt at the slightest hint of trouble. It adds weight to his ongoing theory that she’s been steering clear of him, and now it’s time to confirm whether or not he knows why.
“You’ve been avoiding me,” Bucciarati says, speaking the words slowly. Carefully. He doesn’t want to chase her off before they have a chance to talk.
Trish sucks in a breath, but she doesn’t find the right words to reply despite the frantic look in her eyes.
Bucciarati decides that’s his cue to continue. “Since the day in Giorno’s office, you won’t stay in any room that I am in alone.” He picks his words as carefully as he can. He’s not offended, but he doesn’t know how to emphasize that to her while still getting down to the root of the problem. “Something’s bothering you.”
“I’ve just been busy,” Trish manages to squeak out.
Bucciarati doesn’t need to brush up on his interrogation skills to know that she’s lying. She isn’t particularly good at it, either. At least not when she’s trying to lie to him. Someone else, maybe, but he sees right through the brave face she attempts.
“Trish.”
“It’s nothing! Really!” She grabs the doorframe, as if he might drag her back into the kitchen when she makes a run for it.
“If I may be so bold,” Bucciarati starts, still careful, “You’re feeling guilty. You have been for a while.” He doesn’t need all of his life experience to know that. The look on her face screams it.
Trish wavers in place. Her hand drops from the doorframe, but only so she can wrap her arms around her middle. She hugs herself tightly, as if she can ward away the onslaught of reality. It makes Bucciarati feel guilt of his own for pushing the subject. Maybe she isn’t ready, but he doesn’t want her pain to continue over this. He thinks she’s done more than enough self-loathing, and the punishment is unjust. She’s committed no crime.
Blood once meant everything to Bucciarati. He killed for his blood, traded his life away to the mafia for a few short and illness-riddled years for his blood, but he would never assign the sins of the father to that of the child. Trish is not-- and never has been-- her father. She isn’t capable of doing half of the things Diavolo did in his life.
Trish’s breathing hitches, and it’s all the encouragement that Bucciarati needs. He carefully moves toward her, stepping around her turned back so that they’re facing one another. He brushes his fingers through her hair and tucks some of it away from her face. The first tear falls then, and it breaks his heart.
“Trish,” he repeats, hoping she’ll look at him, but he knows she won’t. All she does is tuck her chin into her shoulder in shame. If she can’t run, then she might as well try hiding. “This isn’t your fault.”
“I know,” she says. Lies.
Bucciarati sighs, though immediately regrets it when Trish flinches away from him. For lack of a better idea, he pulls Trish against his chest and smooths a hand over her hair. “You didn’t do this.”
“But you did it for me!”
Ah. There it is.
“And I would do it again,” Bucciarati reassures. “I didn’t expect our path to involve you, but Giorno and I had intended on taking down your father before we met you. You didn’t change that.” Though she had given him a renewed purpose. A reason to fight even beyond death.
“It doesn’t matter,” Trish insists with a voice that breaks halfway through.
Bucciarati can feel the wetness of her tears against his-- or, rather, Abbacchio’s-- shirt beginning to build as more fall. He continues to brush his fingers through her mass of pink curls. “You didn’t hurt me, Trish.”
“But he did, and he did it because you were trying to protect me!”
“Losing you wasn’t an option,” Bucciarati answers with a gentle squeeze. He lets his chin rest on top of her head and takes a moment to calm his own thoughts.
“Why?” She asks when the silence stretches on between them.
Bucciarati doesn’t think that’s the question that she really wants to ask. And he knows that she doesn’t want-- and won’t accept-- the answer, anyway. Because you deserve to live, he would tell her, if it would mean anything to her right now. He knows what she’ll say in response. Knows she’ll tell him the same, and that his life wasn’t worth her’s.
“You didn’t choose this life,” it’s a gentle reminder, but one that she apparently needs. Her situation is a result of her birth. There’s nothing she did to warrant any of this. “None of this is your fault.”
“Like you did?” Trish snaps the words at him, all sharp edges and surprisingly painful. “Why do you think you deserve this?” She’s demanding now, despite the snuffle in her voice. She’s more anger than unending melancholy, and it’s throwing him off, but not as much the words himself. He doesn’t have an answer to give. Not this time.
She deflates after a moment of receiving no reply and tries to pull away, but he won’t let her. He knows she regrets the words, but he understands why they hang in the air. Why she had to say them. It’s not as if she’s wrong, but that doesn’t mean he knows what to do with them.
“You save everyone around you, and- and for what?” Her hand slams against his chest, open palmed and far from painful. “Was it really worth it?” Her voice is no more than a whisper now.
“Yes,” Bucciarati answers; this time without hesitation, because this is an answer that he does have. A truth that he knows with absolute certainty.
Trish chokes on a sob, and Bucciarati pulls her against him once more.
“Why?” She repeats her earlier question.
Grief is a miserable thing, and he finds that question at the center of it so often. He remembers asking himself that on a loop for years on end without ever finding an answer that satisfied him after all the suffering.
Silence stretches over them once more, and he lets Trish cry with the question hanging between them. It doesn’t matter anymore. The important part is that he’s pushed past the worst of it. He’s confident now that she won’t continue to avoid him. At least not to the same degree. The healing will take time, but he hopes that she’ll allow him to take part in it. That’s all he could truly ask of her anyway. He wants to be there for the people he cares about when they need it, regardless of whatever’s happening in his own head.
“I’m sorry,” Trish says when her sobs slow, and she’s hiccupping more than gasping. She tries to wipe at the tears with frantic hands, but he interrupts her to offer the handkerchief from his pocket.
“Don’t be.”
After taking a moment to wipe at her face, she looks at him again and her expression shifts to mild horror as she takes in the mixture of snot and tears staining the front of his shirt. “Shit, I’m so sorry.”
Bucciarati can’t help barking out a short laugh. He squeezes her shoulder gently. “Ah, no harm done. It’s one of Leone’s, anyway.” The dismissiveness is only a joke. He’ll replace the shirt before Leone notices it’s gone, but he gets his intended effect when she lets out a startled laugh that has him smiling warmly at her in response.
“Oh, you were coming in here. Are you hungry?” Trish asks, suddenly remembering how their entire conversation started. She shifts her eyes to the table, clearly not ready to part ways now that they’ve worked through some of what’s been bothering her.
Bucciarati is more than happy to take the invitation. He goes a step further and turns it around on her, “Actually, I was thinking about having some gelato. Care to join me?”
“Depends,” Trish says with false hesitance. She’s teasing him now, and it makes him smile even wider in response, “What kind?”
“Stracciatella?”
Trish tries not to beam, and Bucciarati bites back an endeared laugh. She seems lighter now. Less restrained. She’s not trying to hide from him or avoid letting him see her emotions. There’s a weight off of her shoulders, and he’s glad that he could alleviate some of her misplaced blame.
“Can we eat in the living room?”
“I don’t see why not,” Bucciarati says with a shrug. It’s not as though they haven’t all broken that rule time and time again.
“You’re the best!” Trish calls as she bounces out of the room, presumably to find something for them to watch.
Bucciarati takes a moment to compose a text to Leone. A quick, barely legible update to the ‘Trish situation’, as they’d affectionately been calling it. Leone sends his response before Bucciarati’s phone touches the counter, and he bites back a fond smile, knowing that Leone must have been waiting for an update after so long. He’s doing his best to avoid being overbearing, but it’s not always easy.
Trish pokes her head back through the doorway before Bucciarati can set his phone back down, though she doesn’t give it a second glance before asking, “Are cartoons okay?”
“Depends,” Bucciarati says, reaching for the bowls. “Are they the ones Mista likes?”
“God no.”
“Then yes.”

Which La Squadra/Bucci Gang members are most to least likely to just chill in the common room completely ass-naked?
No! I have my dignity to uphold
These are the members who would rather die than let the national treasures be whipped out on display for the whole team to see. It's not a matter of insecurity they would say, it's just highly unprofessional and entirely rude to have your genitals dangling in public!
Prosciutto
He can tolerate half-nakedness from his colleagues given that the portion subjected to nudity would be on the upper part of their bodies but to have them parading around the common spaces completely naked? Absolutely not! This man would make every nagging mother around the world proud, scolding the offenders in rapid Italian when he so much as sees an inappropriate amount of skin exposed.
"For the love of God, Formaggio! At least put some underwear on before you poke someone's eye out."
Panacotta Fugo
For someone who literally has holes in his pants in his usual garb, Fugo is really conscious when his legs are completely exposed so to even think about removing all his article of clothing is simply unthinkable!
"I know they have holes dammit!... It's not the same! You literally have your bits dangling around for everyone to see!"
Pesci
Very insecure about his body. He won't even dare think about going out of his room without his shirt on when Prosciutto is around to nag him. He'll be having an earful if he did!
"Oh definitely not! I wouldn't want big bro to have another reason to get mad at me 👉👈."
Narancia Ghirga
Doesn't really think about it but will never consider doing it. That's Abbachio and Mista's thing.
"Ehh?? Going out naked? Only Mista and Abbachio have the balls do that. Haha, get it? They have the balls to do it."
Oopsie / Ah fuck it!
Will not actively walk out naked just for the heck of it but when they are put in a situation where they have no choice but to walk out naked, will do so without batting an eyelash. If they feel a little daring, they will most likely do it at night when the chances of being caught with their junk out is slim.
Bruno Bucciaratti
The chances of him walking around in public completely naked is very situational and in this particular situation would be because he had added his clothes to the pile of laundry he had to do this morning but forgetting to get a towel to wrap around himself on the way back his room. The idea had sounded very efficient and practical until a few seconds after he had closed the door of the washing machine.
"Ah good day, Narancia. You caught me in a very embarassing situation but let me explain. You see, I went to do the laundry today and absentmindedly put my current clothes into the washing machine thinking that it was a brilliant idea to also include my favorite shirt so that I may wear it again tomorrow. Haha The idea is very much a failure now, I realized, and *ahem* what I'm trying to say is, can I borrow the thing around your waist to make the journey back to my room a little less humiliating?"
Ghiaccio
Okay okay, so technically he has white album on when he activates his stand right so does that mean that every time he kills a non-stand user with White Album on, he’s actually appearing before them naked? And what if Sorbet and Gelato don’t have stands, will that one time that Ghiaccio appeared before them with White Album activated actually be the first time Ghiaccio let a person other than himself see him in all his cheeked-up glory? Who knows?
“Why are you asking stupid questions? Wait, wait. In fact, why does it even fucking matter? So what if they saw me naked before they died? They ought to be thankful they got to see this in their last moments and not a face like that (Illuso: Now wait just a m-) because this is as good as it gets!”
Illuso
Formaggio will mostly tease him about refusing to get naked in public himself after throwing a jab about the size of his junk. Formaggio would call him a coward and pressure him to prove him wrong. That he wasn't afraid to prove to him that there's something of worth under all the pillowy layers of Illuso's outfit. Illuso just scoffs at his taunts. Only a child will answer to his schoolyard jabs. He's too mature for this, he should jusy walk away like the adult he is. He would never stoop so low. He would never-
"Oh yeah? Oh yeah?? You want to see something big huh? I'll show you big. Pesci! Come get me a ruler! We'll settle this right here, right now."
Giorno Giovanna
The chances of him even thinking about going naked is also situational but unless his clothing somehow magically disappears, say Abbachio pulling a prank on him and taking his clothes whilst he is in the shower, he will not hesitate to go out and brave the stares he will undoubtedly attract. It's just a few people anyway.
"Where'd you clothes go, Giovanna?"
"Leone, give the boy his clothes back."
"Ah no worries, I turned my hair into a skirt made of leaves. See?"
"Where did- you know what, nevermind. Go put some clothes on, Giorno."
Mmm yeah, slap it baby.
Don't give a f what their teammates will think either because they know they have goods packing down there and they're not shy when it comes to showing it off or they simply don't care what they think. It's not like they can do anything about it.
Formaggio
First on the list because as a Formaggio stan who headcanons him as having the typical fboy persona, this is something that he would 100% do. [rosciutto berates him about it all the time to which he casually brushes off with a wink or a taunting shake of his hips. He’s definitely the type to cry out an exagerrated high-pitched moan when someone slaps his ass.
“Prosciutto. Baby. If you had an ass slapped on me by God himself like mine you would want to show it off too. C’mon look at it. No for real man, take a good look it and tell me you wouldn’t wanna see that jiggle. No?...Melone, you? Ahaha, that’s why I like you! Eheh, well y’know...most of the time...”
Leone Abbachio
Has low tolerance to heat during the summer so it’s a common sight to see him manspreading on the couch, his hair tied up with the fan pointed directly towards him while he has his headphones on to distract him from thee heat, Naturally, he will likely angrily point out how Giorno is gawking at him and Mista who will also be sprawled somewhere in the living area fanning himself. Poor thing is just a little shocked, go easy on him Leone
“What the hell are you looking at, Giovanna?”
Melone
Ohoho this boi has zero shame! He won;t do it just because he can like Formaggio but will likely do it because of a dumb reason like he doesn’t have any clothes that he’s willing to wear today. I can definitely see him going out in the middle of the night for some snacks while also accidentally spooking the soul out of the other tenants when they go down to get a sip of water.
"manifest from the shadows at 2am* Whatcha doin there son?"
*Ghiaccio scream choking on his water*
Guido Mista
This man makes the best breakfast and he does it all buck-naked with only a short-apron covering his precious bits. He’s just really comfortable in his own skin! He has laundry to do in the afternoon anyway(like a months worth, Guido baby why) so he might as well forego wearing anything till they’re all washed. For now, the apron will do!
“Who wants eggs for breakfast? Narancia, you? No? Giorno? Abbachio? What about you Fugo? Uhh Bruno?...Yeah, alright! Two perfect sunny side ups and a big fat sausage for the boss comin right up!”
Risotto Nero
When you’re the leader of one of the most feared hitman team in the whole country, a team which Risotto can whole-heartedly say that he would willingly entrust his life with, there are certain intimate practices that he wouldn’t mind doing in the privacy of their shared living space. He believes every single one of them to be mature enough to handle a little bit of exposed skin so one morning when he does decide to go get himself some coffee in nothing but his naked, god-like glory he didn’t expect the kind of stares he received. Why are they all staring? Melone and Formaggio do it all the time don’t they? Odd. Formaggio will get away with a saucy whistle because he’s the only one brave enough to do so while the others are too shocked *cough*intimidated*cough* to do anything else but well...stare.
“I will be discussing a few things after breakfast so if all of you will just take some time off your schedules after your meals we can...*sigh* Gentlemen, please, my eyes are up here.”

Our local mafia dads meeting their childrens’ parents!!
Okay, I’ve gotten A LOT of asks about Bruno + Abba meeting Dio and I’ve also gotten an ask or two about them meeting the gang’s parents so they all kind of correlate together so I decided to make one post about it!
For the sake of Polnareff’s sanity, I have to keep all the crusaders alive or else things will end up messy hehehe
*someone asked for Diego but like,,,I haven’t read that much of SBR yet so I don’t think I can do it solely because of lack of character knowledge. I'm sorry anon :(*
◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇
I got a shit ton of asks specificically for a post like this so I hope y’all enjoy <3:
◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇
Giorno
Our boy Giogio has a very complicated family tree, but let's just start with the elephant in the room. Or should I say, the literal fucking vampire.
-Dio would be...interesting, for sure. But he wouldn’t exactly look out of place in their household, considering they’re all wearing ridiculous outfits.
-Depending on how Dio actually acts, Bucciarati would probably invite him in for tea and Abba would sit there silently admiring his green lipstick which he’s 99% sure he saw at Sephora earlier
-You know how fucking extra the man is. The moment he sees Giorno this man literally bursts into dramatic tears with mascara rolling down his face and everything and Giorno is just like “????”
-They would have never guessed that Gio and Dio were related by personality alone. They contradict each other so much its almost funny
-They DO know where our boy got his sense of style from, though,,,and that fucking hair,, :’)
-Even if Dio is absolutely fucking pretty feral, I could see all of them having a pretty civil conversation about everything
-If Giorno wanted to go live with him, he was free to, (but he doesn’t have to)
-Dio learns about Giorno’s previous home life and it takes like 6 people to hold him down for him to not go and march down to his old house to commit vampire crimes
-Dio is scared of shit like tvs and the microwaves and they pay no mind to how weird he is and don’t pick up on the fact that he’s a vampire at all
-Until Polnareff emerges from the turtle, takes one look and him and GOES FUCKING OFF-
-Dio Brando is no longer welcome in the Bucci household
-Though he can see Giorno on weekends if he’s good :3
-Abbacchio can and will sneak out to go shopping with him because Dio always manages to have way too much fucking money and no one knows where it comes from
-Once Bruno finds out, (which he does from the empty Versace and Louis Vuitton bags stashed under his bed) the fun is over >:(
Giorno’s mama and step-dad...yeesh...
-you’ve seen how I made them react to those two if you read The Storm a few months back, and I still stand to the fact that if Giorno didn’t talk about his parents, they would just assume that he just had a weird relationship with them and didn’t want to talk about it
-Once they find everything out, though…*cracks knuckles*
-Bucciarati is the type of person to pick his battles. Would he have tea with Giorno’s mother just to learn her weaknesses and then slowly deteriorate her? Would he civilly promise Giorno’s step-father money only for an assassination team to show up at his door once he gives Bruno his address?
-Yes.
-Abba will go straight for the kill once he’s pissed. Don’t tell me otherwise. Man is ready to throw hands at all times and he’s not afraid to beat the shit out of some shitty middle-aged people
Narancia
Narancia’s mom, like any other sweet mama, would probably sit down to lunch with Bruno and thank him for looking after her son :)
-It would be sweet, very nice and wholesome
-Like literally if the two of them ever met they would probably just sit down together and talk about Narancia and that’s literally it
-Abba claims that he “doesn't pick favourites” (because all the fucking gremlins drive him crazy) but he secretly does favour Nara over any of the other kids
-Knowing everything Nara’s gone through, he would only treat Mela with respect if he ever had the chance to meet her
His dad on the other hand...
-Bruno wants absolutely nothing to do with the man
-He knows that it isn’t entirely his fault for everything that happened with Narancia throughout his childhood, but he wasn’t there when he should have been
-People that simply don’t care to the point of neglect absolutely infuriate Abbacchio because he was like that once too and he’s seen the damage that it does firsthand
-Abba knows if he ever ran into the guy, there’d be hell to pay
-But that’s how he feels about most of his “kids’” parents (considering most of them are absolute assholes)
Trish
-I feel like how they would react to her father is pretty self-explanatory,,,
-but Oh MY GOD Donatella Una and Bucciarati going on shopping sprees together? Being fucking bougie as shit together??? Can I say gucci and mineral water dream team????
-I can bring her back to life if I want to >:(
-She’s the kind of person who’s really great to go out with—like to bars, clubs, restaurants, etc,,,and is willing to do absolutely anything as long as she gets the social rush
-Trish is pretty quiet but her mama’s atmosphere is fucking CONTAGIOUS
-Abba and Dona would do each other’s makeup and she’s the kind of lady that shows up at his door with a pile of DVDs and those fucking cucumber face masks
-Also she collects those expensive-ass collector’s edition barbie dolls and Bruno and Abba always give her the latest holiday barbie for Christmas :)))))
Mista
-Honestly, I kinda see Mista’s parents as pretty ordinary people with nothing really defining their personalities
-They both work a lot and were never really around that much, but once Mista went to jail they pretty much just never reconnected with him and don’t really plan to
-Bruno isn’t particularly angry at Mista’s parents; the kid fucked up pretty bad and even Mista knows that he can’t really blame his family for not wanting to reconnect with a murderer
-It would be pretty mutual if he ever met them; probably a dull greeting over lunch and then they would get back to work
-Abbacchio wouldn’t even bother. He has no tolerance for people that don’t want to interact with them (although if Mista really wanted him to meet them he would suck it up and be decent)
-They seem like the kind of stiff people who would freak out if they were talking to a gang member or someone who lives rougher so their interaction wouldn’t exactly be a long one lol
Fugo
-Fugo doesn’t hate his parents
-In his heart, he still really just wants approval from them even after all they did
-I’m not sure how Bruno and Leone would possibly meet them, but if they did, Bucciarati would probably be pretty civil about it
-They wouldn’t want to talk about their son at all, which would make Bruno pretty irritated and Abbacchio infuriated
-When they do talk about him, they just talk about his anger issues and the fact that he failed their family in both the education department and the social aspect and it takes everything in both of them not to flip the fucking table over
-Because obviously his “parents” never spent any time with him or else they would know how intelligent he is and how much he loves playing piano and helping Bucciarati bake bread and how much he cares about everyone around him
-Surprisingly though, Bruno is the one who holds a grudge about it. If they hadn’t put him in college as young as they did, maybe things would have been different and he wouldn’t be working for the Italian mafia >:( (but he still feels more than blessed to have Fugo in his life) :)
◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇
I have so many posts now that I feel like my headcanons might get lost within my sea of all my other stuff as the time passes,,,I’m thinking of just making a fic/headcanon masterlist and keeping it constantly pinned! (I would link it in my bio but that shit isn’t working no matter how many times I try sjhdkjgfd I hate Tumblr)
If you’ve got an ask, request, or headcanon, hit me up! (I do just enjoy y’alls immaculate vibes, too) <3

datura (moth!bruno x butterfly!reader)
—–
A/N: I made more art! You might have already seen it though lol Anyways this chapter got longer than planned but I really wanted to Bruno and reader to do some things before Summer ended.
First Chapter || Previous Chapter || Next Chapter
Reader is gender neutral!
----
[Late Summer]
The crowds along with the heat had become more tolerable recently, which you were glad for. Now you were able to gather as you usually did, instead of going out to the forest clearing with Bruno every couple nights.
Part of you will miss it but you need to spend your energy on making up for lost time. It would get cooler from now on and slowly the flowers would start to die out.
You wonder how long your Daturas will last. The last time you flew by the area, the shrubs they grew on looked greater in size and there seemed to be a few more flowers so you could guess they would at least survive the beginning of Autumn.
“Do Daturas last through the fall?” you ask Bruno. It would be best to make sure.
“Yes, so no need to worry about not being able to get your nectar."
“Okay, that’s what I was hoping. Now I don't need to panic-gather."
You relax on the arm of your daybed. "Honestly, I should have asked earlier but guess it slipped my mind.”
“You know, it’s actually quieter in our usual Datura spot now.”
You sit up. “For real? We should go then.”
“Right now?”
“Why not? I need to catch up!”
Bruno raises a brow. “But you have more time.”
“Why do it later when you can do it now?”
“...I guess I can’t argue with that. And it wouldn't hurt to start saving up.”
With that, you’re off the daybed and heading to your bedroom to find your bags.
When you return you hold out a satchel for the moth to take. “You can borrow my canisters. I don't want you to go home empty handed.”
“Thanks. I'll make sure to get these back to you quickly.”
“It's cool. I have a bunch of extras. I don't even know how I let myself collect so many…”
You did know, but you didn't want to admit that every time you saw one that was a color you liked or had a nice design, you couldn't stop yourself from getting it.
“Okay, let's go!”
Tonight the moon was fully out in the clear sky so you decide to not bring your lantern along. As long as you stay near Bruno you should be okay.
The both of you walk through the path you’ve taken several times, however it is even more narrow than the last. You couldn’t even walk next to each other.
Having fewer flowers will be sad but at least the foliage will finally back down when it gets colder.
When you finally reach the end of the path, you're shocked by what you see. The Daturas have spread a lot since that last time you were here.
You and Bruno fly above the thick layer of dark leaves that had pretty much over taken the area. Before you could at least get to the grass if you wanted but now you can't even see the ground anymore.
"They grow so fast!"
"Be cautious, there could be creatures hiding in the leaves. It’s unlikely but we shouldn't get careless.”
Heeding his warning, you stick close to your friend while you both gather. It must have kept you focused on your task because you're done quicker than you expect. Bruno notices this too.
“Didn't do any of your taste testing?”
“Not being able to see through all the leaves is a little worrying I guess.”
You fiddle with your satchel strap. You would usually try to sit around after gathering but you were ready to go back home.
“Want to head back then?”
You nod and you both fly back down to the path.
“You know--isn't it weird that we could just get attacked at any time,” you ask Bruno as you walk behind him.
“Well that's just nature.” Bruno answers unbothered. “Are you scared?”
“No, it just sucks that one moment you could be standing around unsuspecting and then the next you're in another creature's mouth! You don't even get a chance to fight back." You grimace. "Nature’s kinda cruel….”
“It can be, but there are definitely good things about it too.”
“Of course there are, like the flowers. Everything else can leave though.”
“Even me?”
You deadpan at the back of his head. “You know what I mean Bruno. Just the dangerous things, I can trust you not to hurt me.”
“But even those things have a role to fulfill and keep everything in balance.”
“Ugh, stop being reasonable.”
Bruno smiles over his shoulder at you and you can’t help but feel he’s being cheeky with you.
“And sometimes the things you think are dangerous can also surprise you...”
“Huh?” You weren’t sure what he meant by that.
The moth doesn't respond immediately, and you see consideration flash on his face before he turns away.
“You remember the wasp I mentioned knowing?”
“Oh my g--” You stop yourself before you say anything rude. “...Yes.”
“Well, he's actually one of my closest friends.”
Your eyes widen and you can't stop yourself. “B-But, they eat us.”
“Well actually it's their young that does that, but this wasp lives on his own.”
It wasn't unheard of for colony type bugs to live on their own but It was somewhat rare so you’re still a little surprised.
“Oh...He’s the loner type?”
“I guess you could say that. So he doesn't have to do the ‘killing and delivering the body to the nest’ drill. I think that's actually the main reason why he left."
“I mean...I guess that's good? For us at least.”
“But you see what I mean?”
“Kinda, but I don't plan on trying to befriend any insect killers anytime soon.”
Bruno nods. “That’s fair. I know our relationship is strange.”
You try to gather your thoughts before speaking. The moth didn't seem upset but you wanted to make sure.
“I won't lie...I-It freaks me out a lot, but I do think it's kinda neat that you befriended someone that would be seen as an enemy. And as long as you're safe I can’t really complain.”
“I am. I’ve known Abbacchio for years now. He can be cold at times but underneath that he’s extremely loyal and has a good heart. And if you decide to get to know him you’ll see it too.”
So that’s his name…
You also wanted to introduce Bruno to your friend so you would feel rude if you immediately dismissed the idea, even if Abilene and Abbacchio weren’t exactly on the same level. And this wasp managed to gain Bruno’s trust and respect, so he had to be safe.
“You don't have to. I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”
You start to fiddle with your bag strap again. This was definitely something you couldn’t agree to on the fly. “Maybe one day…? I’m not sure yet.”
“That’s completely fair,” Bruno replies, seemingly satisfied with that answer. “Just let me know if you ever want to.”
You weren’t sure if you would but you nod.
"Let's hurry, I'm getting thirsty."
----
While Summer was finally drawing to a close, Bruno finally managed to get you in the same area as a pond. He said it was one of the best times in the year to visit and when you arrive, you’re glad that he convinced you to come along.
The moonlight reflects off the pond and lights the area. You see various bugs hanging around, singing and dancing, and enjoying the last of the season. Some of them are even flying surprisingly close to the water.
However, the fireflies are tonight's stars as their warm glow turns heads and sparkles on the water’s surface.
It was lovely. Maybe even more so than the forest clearing.
While you stare, enthralled, you notice the bright red flowers growing out of the pond practically demanding for your attention.
“I see you’re eyeing the Red Flare Lilies,” Bruno says. “Still nervous about getting near the pond?”
”I am but I didn’t know there were such pretty flowers growing out of it...”
“Then we should get a closer look, yea?”
You want to but hesitate. The last time you got close to a pond you almost became a meal.
“What's wrong?”
“Nothing.” Your eyes might be playing tricks on you, but you’re sure you see the surface of the pond ripple near one of the flowers.
“Okay, I might be a little freaked out! What if there’s frogs?”
“It's not impossible, but if anything, you should be more worried about fish--”
You groan. “You should have just lied to me.” Any urge to go had been wiped away.
“Well it’s a pond so there’s no point pretending, but you didn’t let me finish. This pond mainly carries small fish and no one has ever reported encountering frogs here so it should be safe.”
Even with that explanation, you still aren't sure. That was something that could change at any time.
“If you don't want to, I can just go out for you?”
“B-But look at all the lily pads and frogs can move super quickly! I’m not going to send you out there for nectar I could get anywhere.”
No matter how tempting that flower looked it wasn't worth it. Being an insect meant constant danger but you took the necessary precautions to lessen that danger. But ponds--they were just too dangerous. It honestly baffled you seeing those bugs getting close to the surface willingly.
Bruno looks concerned, which makes you force yourself to relax your shoulders.
“Sorry--”
You're interrupted by some bugs in the distance yelling out Bruno’s name to greet him. A few of them actually come over to properly say hi, and you stand silently to the side as they surround him excitedly.
You aren't really surprised that he’s popular. He could be charming when he wants to be. It's a little awkward standing there though.
“Where have you been Bucciarati?” A fluffy moth asks.
Bruno opens his mouth to reply but a young cricket--you think--latching onto his arm speaks next. “I missed you! The other adults never want to play with me,” they pout.
A beetle speaks right after. “How’s Narancia been?”
You watch and listen while Bruno tries to handle the small group before looking back out to the pond, but before you can zone out, someone asks about you. And for some reason, Bruno introduces you.
You feel stiff with all these eyes on you suddenly. You were definitely not prepared and you’d get the moth later for this.
“I've never seen a nocturnal butterfly...” the child stares, looking confused.
“Oh no, I should actually be asleep right now--”
“I love your wings!” the fluffy moth compliments.
You smile slightly. “T-Thanks, um...”
The group was excitedly talking at you and it was hard to keep up. Fortunately you don’t have to say much more because Bruno shoos them away shortly after.
You release a breath. “Okay Mr. Popular, warn me next time...”
“Me popular? Hardly." He smiles slightly, looking apologetic. "And sorry, I didn't think anyone would actually come over. Let’s go sit down.”
He leads you to a quiet spot where the grass isn’t as wild and overgrown. And you both lounge on a rock to look out at the pond and insects.
“This place is beautiful.”
You lean back on your arms, no matter how hard you tried, your gaze would always drift back to the Lilies.
“Even the pond.”
“It is. Especially with all the fireflies.” The way Bruno sounded, it was different but you couldn't place your finger on why. You glance over and he looks a little sad? Wistful?
You feel as if you saw something personal.
“I know right! I’m kinda jealous.”
“Why?”
“Well other than it looking pretty, they can just light the way with their bodies. I kind of wish I could do that too. It would be pretty useful.”
“But your diurnal.”
You almost laugh at the moth’s response. “Maybe I should become nocturnal then. I'm already part way there."
All these nightly escapades with Bruno were starting to eat into your usual sleeping time causing your days to get shorter. You'd even find yourself waking up way past noon sometimes.
“Okay then I'll become diurnal in your place so I can collect from all the day flowers for you."
You purse your lips. “Hmm, I don’t think you'd be able to handle the switch. You’d probably fall asleep randomly even more than you already do.”
“In my defense, I have a little one constantly waking me up when I'm trying to catch up on my sleep.”
You giggle. That was a valid point.
"How much sleep do you even get?”
Some days you could see a hint of exhaustion on the poor moths face when he came to visit you.
“I wish I knew.”
That answer was definitely worrying. A sleepy bug is a vulnerable one.
“You’re not sleep deprived and just really good at hiding it, right?”
“Don't worry. The elders near me like to take Narancia off my hands when I get too tired or when I need to go somewhere. I honestly think they want to adopt him for themselves,” Bruno chuckles a bit.
"But you probably wait until it gets pretty bad don't you?”
"...What is considered pretty bad?"
The lack of a clear answer confirms your statement, but you’re not exactly sure what to do about it yet so you decide to let it go for now.
"Nevermind," you sigh and continue watching the bugs glide across the water.
“I really thought the flowers would have tempted you onto the pond,” Bruno brings up suddenly.
“D-Did you want me to go?”
“Not exactly. I was just hoping you would see there were good things about it.”
“I did say it's pretty but anything related to frogs is bad.” You say it without really thinking but when you see the slight look of disappointment you wish you could take it back.
“I’m sorry, I just--” You take a breath. You'll just be honest. “...I might have done something stupid when I was younger. Now I just stay very cautious around giant bodies of water. But don’t take that the wrong way, I’m still happy you brought me here!”
He nods, understanding.
“You come off as really carefree and careless a lot of the time, especially when I first met you. It kind of makes me worry."
You're unsure why he brings that up but it wasn’t too surprising. You wouldn’t say it outloud but you did still do some things that Abilene and Bruno would probably not approve of when you were alone. But it wasn’t anything too bad. Well not to you anyways.
“At least now I can take comfort knowing that you probably aren’t doing anything more dangerous than staying out late,” Bruno says.
“Most likely, so you don't need to worry about me--just think relaxing thoughts,” You bump your shoulder into Bruno and he gently bumps you back with his elbow.
“I don't think that's possible, especially with that answer.”
Bruno turns to you when he notices you're staring at him without saying anything. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing, I just have a feeling you and Abby will get along well.”
----
You were pouring and mixing nonstop the last couple of the days. This was it--this was one of your last couple of chances to bake. Eventually the weather would drop too low in temperature and you wouldn't be able to do it again until next Summer or late Spring if you're lucky.
“Is this really necessary?”
You invited Bruno to help you, but he was mostly watching you go into a baking frenzy at this point.
“Is this necess--Yes!” You mix even harder, slightly frustrated. The batter wasn’t as thick as it should be and you weren’t sure why. You just hoped you didn’t completely ruin this batch of cookies.
“Was that supposed to be my voice--Nevermind,” Bruno sighs. “You're not even eating most of what you’re baking and I don't think I can eat anymore either.”
“Just take the rest with you and give it to Narancia.”
“That's still way too much. Aren't you tired? You should take a break.”
You finally put down the wooden spoon you were using to look at the moth.
“Maybe I went a little overboard, but I just want to try so many things and there's so little time.”
“A quick break won't hurt though.”
“Sure.” You reach for the handle of the spoon. “But let me just finish this--”
“That's what you said the last time.”
“....Okay, okay.” You place the spoon back down and head towards the dining table where Bruno’s sitting.
“But only for a moment.”
Even though you were being stubborn, you really were exhausted. You had lost count of how many things you baked all together but it must have been a lot since you had probably visited most of your neighbors at least twice. You hadn’t gotten the hang of treats low in sugar yet, but when you did Abilene would be on the list too.
Spreading your wings, you stretch your arms above then outward.
“You really do have lovely wings.”
You force your wings down. "...Where'd that come from?"
You were doing your best to not overthink but it was much harder said than done. The moth had to be messing with you bringing that up so suddenly.
“I think I always knew but it was pointed out recently.”
What does that even mean???
“Then--well you have nice wings too!” You want to shift the attention from yourself but it didn't mean you weren't being honest.
You move to get behind the stool Bruno’s sitting on for a better look at his wings and partially to avoid his piercing gaze, but he looks over his shoulder at you.
“I really like them--the shape, the pattern. They really suit you!"
You internally cringe from how that compliment came out, but there were times where you did want to touch them. Fortunately, you keep that part to yourself.
His wings slightly shift. “Thank you.”
There's slight frustration from how coolly he takes your compliments. One day you'll finally fluster him.
You sit down across from him and lay your head on the table. “It's kind of cool that wings come in so many different shapes and colors...I actually know someone who has these cool transparent wings. I thought she was a butterfly but turns out she's a moth."
“Are you talking about Mrs. Joestar?”
You slightly lift up your head to look at Bruno. “You know her?”
“I met her recently. She's very lively for her age."
“I know right! She keeps teasing me too,” you pout. “Her husband’s even worse!”
Bruno smiles, a playful glint in his eye. “Because you make it so easy.”
“…Don't turn against me, I’m begging you.”
“I'll think about it.”
“Urgh, whatever.” You rest your head back on the table. “Anyways, doesn't she really look like a butterfly?”
“Yes, if I hadn't seen others like her before I probably would have thought so too.”
“Hmm, butterflies and moths are pretty similar to be fair. We have to be descendants of the same things….”
Eventually, you find yourself shutting your eyes while you're prattling off to Bruno about viable ancestors. You tell yourself you'll just rest them but when you open them next you're in your bed under your covers and Bruno’s gone.
You sigh once you realize what happened. That moth got you.
You force yourself out of bed once you remember the cookie batter sitting out. It was too late to cook it now so you would just have to put it away for tomorrow.
When you walk into the kitchen, it's cleaner than when you left it and a box of baked cookies are sitting where the bowl once was.
You smile and grab one. They came out better than you hoped.

Who They Are
Summary: After deciding to trust the fellow, you take their hand and make your escape. You have no idea who he is or how he knew what he knew or if he was telling the truth. Hopefully though, he was telling the truth. It would explain so much to you about your “family” and why you are treated like you are. ...as well as why they- well, that’s another story.
(This was written on a desk-top btw, I apologize if the formatting is weird)
----------------------------------------------------
After evading the possible kidnapping, you started to observe your “savior.” He was a tall fellow. Olive skin, fit physique, medium hair, and semi-broad shoulders. His clothes were neatly put together, which suggest an organized life. The clothes weren't bright or crazy, but they were basic and dark, which tells you that he doesn't want to stick out.
What you didn't realize was that you were staring at him. At first, he decided to ignore your eyes on him, but after a while, it got creepy.
"Not to be rude, but why are you staring at me," the man asked.
Widening your eyes, you looked away, "I was observing you."
The man makes a noise of acknowledgment after a while, making you doubt if he believed you. But seeming as he let it go, you were too.
"Alright, just through there," the man said.
Looking at where he was talking, you froze. The building was old and worn down, but you could recognize it anywhere.
--------------------
'hmm'
'mama, papa?'
'Why are we at Edrigia' (E-Dri-gi-a)
'You're going to be here for a while, until we come back'
----------------------------------
Blinking rapidly, you shook out of it, "I'm sorry, what was it?"
"Y/n.....Y/n......Y/N!!"
"As I was saying, we'll need to cut through here. There's nothing to worry about, I just cut through yesterday, it's deserted," he informed.
"What’s your name," you asked.
"That’s hardly im-"
"You've drug me from danger and to this place and I would like the name of the man I'm supposedly supposed to be trusting," you sassed, stopping in your tracks and crossing your arms.
Sighing, the man stopped and turned around, looking at your posture of defiance, "Fine. My name (is Jeff) is L’Rod.”
Cocking your head to the side and furrowing your eyebrows a bit, you repeated it with confusion, “L’Rod?”
“Yes, now let’s keep moving,” he grunted, turning around continuing on.
As you were following behind him, you still pondered over his name. ‘Was it an alias? most likely, but hey, anything his possible right? Right.’ Letting out a puff of air, you shook your head of those thoughts. With everything that’s happened so far, it’d be best if you had a clear mind. Ahead of you, L’Rod pondered over your behavior. You didn’t seem to act much like your mother, so maybe you relate more with your father. Grunting he cleared those thoughts out, he had to be observant and on high alert not wondering about his-
“Sooooo...Why were those guys tryna kill me,” you inquired, successfully bringing him out of his thoughts.
“I’ll tell you when we get to our destination,” he answered curtly, letting you know he wasn’t going to answer anymore questions.
Sighing, you guys continued your stretch to wherever you were going. At least it was a beautiful night. The pale moonlight beautifully illuminated the worn building, giving you a chance to see the growing greenery on and around it. Gosh, you wished you had a camera, it was truly something out of the land of make-believe. When you entered the building you were blown away. It complimented the outside well.
(credits to the owner of this image)
As L’rod went on he noticed your lack of footsteps and turned to see you admiring the place.
“Come on, y/n,” he called, pullign you out of your trance, “we need to go to my safe place. Who knows, we could’ve been followed.”
Nodding, you gave the place on last once-over before trotting up to him. Mentally, he kicks himself, he could have been nicer, he’d apologize for the possible harshness once you two got to his safe haven. For now, he had to put more emphasis on you and your well-being, his included. So pushing the matter aside, he refocused and started forward, making sure you were in tow. It was going to be a long night.
----------------------------Meanwhile at Passione headquarters----------------------
The Capo and Informant had just finished telling what happened in the interrogation to the now 18 year old Don. Sighing, he frowned a bit, taking in the information. Obviously they were being targeted by someone, the question is who? Ever since the changes he’s made, Passione has gained a lot of enemies. But from the way the information was being told, it seemed this has been planned for a while, given that the two men knew almost everything about them- excluding their stands and abilities thank goodness.
“It seems you were right again Bucciarati,” the Don began with a light chuckle. Bucciarati had previously made the Don aware about things that could happen once he took control of Passione and had been right about a few of them. Privately, the capo had told him about a dream where something like this happened. It seems he was perceptive even in the dream realm. “We’ll have to be very cautious and observe everyone of our enemies. Abbacchio, Mista I need you go back to the restaurant you guys were dinning at and gather information.”
Grunting, the white haired man nodded, while the gunslinger gave an audible response.
Moving on, the Don continued, “Fugo, I need you to hack into our visitors’ phones, check and see who they’ve been communicating with and look into them all. It’s strenuous, but I know you can do it, I’ll help you as well. Bucciarati, Narancia, I need you two to see what people on the street are saying. It’s risky but together, you two are invincible.”
The Don looks out the window, knowing that this would be the last night of peace for them all. War was about to begin.
“Dismissed...we all need to rest up for what’s about to begin...we may be on the verge of another war,” The Don clarifies going over to his desk.
The others in the room quietly left-aside from Bucciarati. Sensing the stress on the young man, the capo stayed to talk with him.
“Giorno, that means you rest too,” Bucciarati stated, watching the younger nod slightly.
“I know but-”
“No buts,” the latter cut him off, “Tomorrow we’ll all start on our work,” Bucciarati finished, scolding the younger slightly.
Knowing the older man wasn’t going to give up, the younger man gave in, “Alright, Bucciarati, you win. I’ll rest.”
Bucciarati made a hum of approval, waiting until Giorno was done locking up his office so they could depart together. As they were going to their place of residency, the pair knew that they had to be cautious about this enemy, not wanting to have any repeats as to what happened in the other war. They had all almost lost their lives in that fight, Abbacchio, Narancia, and Bucciarati had the worst injuries though. Clearing their heads from those thoughts, they put their minds to different things. Giorno thinking about the two mens’ possible identities and Bruno thinking as to why they wanted Y/n so badly and why her name sounded so familiar.

Giorno tested the ropes for the hundredth time, but they were still not moving. And thanks to the dampening power of the stand their captive had, he could not simply use Gold Experience to change the ropes into vines and escape.
Narancia grunted, tied to a chair behind him so that they were back to back. He shifted, hitting Giorno's chair with his own. He didn't seem to be having any better luck.
"I can't believe we let this happen!" Narancia moaned. "Bucciarati's going to kill us for this! It was supposed to just be a simple reconnaissance mission!"
Giorno sighed. Narancia was right, this was definitely not one of their better moments. Though with their enemy's Stand ability, he supposed they couldn't entirely be blamed either. Narancia would have seen them approaching if Aerosmith's radar hadn't suddenly cut out. And by then it was too late for Giorno to realize that he couldn't use his ability either.
The door to the room they had been put in creaked open and in strode the Stand user and two of his men. Narancia wrenched himself around to see, and Giorno straightened up, glaring defiantly. The Stand user met his gaze, nonplussed.
"So, Don Giovanna," he said mockingly, striding up to the teen and making a point to get into his personal space. "When do you think Bucciarati will be here?"
Giorno continued to glare, not giving an answer.
The Stand user reached out and grabbed his collar, wrenching him forward until his bound arms began to sing with pain. "You do realize what will happen to you if he doesn't return my man to me, right?"
Giorno pressed his lips together into a thin line. They'd taken one of this man's operation captive to grill for information on a new, reportedly very dangerous, drug ring that had cropped up. They had gotten the information they had needed. At least some of it. After finding out the location of their base of operations, Giorno and Narancia had gone on a reconnaissance mission, but now they were captured and the ringleader they were going after thought he could hold them for ransom until Bucciarati returned his own captive.
Giorno didn't know what conversation had already happened, but he met the man's eyes firmly. "We don't make deals with drug peddlers."
The man slapped him across the face.
"You asshole!" Narancia snapped.
"You think Bucciarati has a choice? You're the Don of Passione now, Giorno Giovanna. He's not going to give you up." Giorno looked up, licking his split lip and feeling the sting spreading across his cheek. "You're actually worth something."
"And your man is compromised, therefor worth nothing," Giorno informed him. "How do you think we found you? Why do you want him back?"
The man seethed before he bit back his anger. "That's none of your business."
"Because he's the only one who can manufacture the drugs, correct?" Giorno continued. "He's told us that already." The man's eyes blew wide and he seethed even more. "If you think for a second that Bucciarati and I don't have an agreement that keeping him away from you isn't more important than saving my life you're wrong."
The hand grabbed his collar again and the man got into his face, spit flying and hitting Giorno's cheek. "You insolent little upstart! I'll send you back to Bucciarati in pieces!"
"Eat shit!" Narancia snapped. "You don't know anything about our team!"
"Give me the phone," the ringleader snapped, holding out his hand as one of his men handed him a mobile phone. He dialed a number and after a few seconds snapped, "Bucciarati? Yeah, it's me again. I'm done waiting. I'll give you one hour before I start cutting bits off Giovanna and the mop-haired kid. If you want there to be anything left of them, you'll follow my instructions." He ended the call before giving Bruno a chance to speak and handed the phone back to his man before he reached into his coat, pulling out a small case.
"Just to make sure you two don't make any trouble while I'm gone I'm going to let you sample a little of the goods."
He opened the case and revealed several small bottles and syringes. He handed one of each to one of his men who went over to a table to fill it. Giorno swallowed hard.
"What is it?" he demanded.
The ringleader grinned. "Something real nice. Our own special recipe. Good and strong. Knock you right off your feet. You might just decide you like it."
"How much, boss?"
"Not enough to kill them," the ringleader said dismissively.
"Hey, get away from me, you asshole!" Narancia snarled, tugging at his ropes again. Giorno craned his head to watch helplessly over his shoulder as the goon grabbed Narancia by the chin and wrenched his head to one side, jabbing the needle into his neck.
"Narancia!" Giorno shouted as the other young man cried out, jerking in the chair.
It was then he realized the ringleader also had a syringe ready, and the man's hand gripped Giorno's hair, wrenching his head back to bare his throat. Giorno struggled as he heard Narancia groan and slump heavily against the back of the chair, head resting against Giorno.
"You'll regret this," Giorno told the ringleader firmly.
"You're the one who's going to regret this, Giovanna. You and that insufferable do-gooder, Bucciarati." He stuck the syringe into Giorno's neck and Giorno was unable to help a gasp as he felt the drug ejected into his veins, cold and unwelcome. He shuddered, trying to fight the sudden nausea and drowsiness that overcame him. He blinked heavily, trying to curl his lip at the sneering man hovering over him, but then everything just got too blurry and he was forced to close his eyes and drift into the unwanted darkness.
~~~~~~~
Bucciarati slammed the phone down with a curse. He glanced over at Abbacchio and Mista who were standing guard over their captive, Mista's gun under his throat so he wouldn't try to say anything.
"We need to go," Bucciarati said firmly. "We're running out of time."
Abbacchio cursed as well, grabbing a cloth to clean off bloody hands.
"And what are we doing with this bastard?" Mista asked, jabbing his gun harder into the man's chin.
"We'll deal with him later," Bucciarati said darkly.
"W-wait! You're not exchanging me for the brats?" the man started. "You know what my boss is gonna do right? He's gonna kill them!"
Abbacchio slammed a fist into his nose and the man's head snapped back as he cried out, blood streaming down his lip to join what was already there.
"Shut your damn mouth," Abbacchio snarled. "I'll tell Fugo to go get the car."
Bucciarati nodded to Mista and they made sure their prisoner was secure before they left and locked the room.
"Hey Bruno, what about that guy's Stand? Doesn't it knock out other Stand abilities?" Mista asked.
Bucciarati gave him a look that was actually genuinely scary. "I think all of us were perfectly capable even before we got Stands, don't you, Mista?"
Mista gave him a lopsided grin. "Hell yeah. Let's go save Giorno and Narancia."
They made quick work of the details. Mista and Fugo went to cause a distraction and Bucciarati and Abbacchio rushed in the back using Sticky Fingers. They must still be out of range, but Bucciarati didn't think that would last long.
As they started to hear Mista firing off shots, Abbacchio glanced over at him, checking his own gun hidden under the tail of his coat. "Ready?"
Bruno nodded, taking his from the holster inside his coat under his arm. "Let's go."
They hurried on until they found one wayward goon, who Abbacchio nabbed instantly, slamming into the wall.
"Where are they?" he demanded, gun jabbed under his chin.
The man whimpered and pointed shakily down the hall, not even bothering to ask. "L-last door."
Bucciarati nodded and used Sticky Fingers to punch the man, unzipping him into pieces.
They hurried down the hall, listening to the chaos ensuing outside and when they got to the last door, Bucciarati stepped aside to let Abbacchio kick it in.
They came to a stop when they saw the ringleader standing inside the room beside a bound Giorno, holding his head up and pressing a gun to the boy's temple. Another man was likewise threatening Narancia. Both boys looked unconscious or nearly so, eyes rolled up in their heads, bodies limp.
Bucciarati swallowed down his fury, knowing that keeping his head here was the only thing that was going to save them all.
"Ah, Bucciarati," the ringleader said. "I see you failed to do as I asked. I don't see my man."
"No, you don't," Bucciarati said firmly. "But you might see him soon. In hell."
The ringleader smirked. "What are you going to do? Try me, your Stands won't work here. But feel free to wrestle me for the gun if you want to see your precious golden boy with his brains splattered on the floor."
Bucciarati and Abbacchio didn't waste time with banter. They both whipped out their guns, taking everyone in the room by surprise. Bucciarati's bullet found the ringleader's skull and Abbacchio's took out the goon holding Narancia, they then both ducked the other goon's bullet before taking him out simultaneously.
"Smug bastard," Abbacchio snarled, kicking the ringleader's body before kicking his gun away from the dead hand.
Bruno was already putting his gun away and heading to Giorno whose chair had toppled during the chaos.
"Giorno," he called worriedly, pulling out his knife to start cutting through the ropes tying the boy to the chair.
"They gave them something," Abbacchio grunted, untying Narancia as well and pulling him up. The boy moaned, blinking woozily, head lolling.
"A-Abba," he murmured.
"Hey, kid," Abbacchio said kindly with a small smile as he pulled Narancia into his arms and simply picked him up. Narancia wearily wrapped his arms around Abbacchio's neck, burying his face in his shoulder.
Bucciarati finally got Giorno untied and reached down to cup the boy's cheek as his eyes twitched.
"Giorno?"
"Mm, Buccia-rati?" Giorno murmured, blinking once before he winced and squeezed his eyes shut again.
"Shh, you're safe now."
"Naran—"
"He's fine, Abbacchio has him. It's all over."
"Got him?" Abbacchio asked as Bucciarati wrapped one of Giorno's arms over his shoulders and got an arm under his knees.
"Yes," Bucciarati replied, standing up with his precious burden. "Let's go."
They hurried out, meeting Mista half way. He came to a stop, holding his gun up, eyes widening as he saw Giorno and Narancia.
"They all right?"
"Drugged," Bruno said darkly. "Go get the car."
"Fugo's already on it."
They hurried out and Bucciarati and Abbacchio carefully settled Giorno and Narancia into the back before they got out of there.
Bruno glanced back at the boys, again trying to quell his fury. They were all right. But the idea of what had happened to them, or nearly so still made him mad. One day, one day their city would be free of people like this.
~~~~~~~
Giorno peeled his eyes open; everything felt so uncomfortable. He was hot and cold at the same time and his head really hurt. Everything seemed really bright too, stabbing his eyes. He tried to roll over with a groan, but his stomach twisted and he suddenly felt an overwhelming bout of nausea wash over him.
He whimpered sickly, wrapping his arms around his middle.
"Easy, just stay still," a firm but soft voice commanded, taking hold of his shoulder and pressing him back. Something cool wiped across his forehead and Giorno sighed and leaned into it. Fingers slid his hair away from his eyes.
"Bucciarati?" Giorno mumbled.
"I'm here," the voice said again.
Giorno relaxed slightly. "Wha' happened?"
"You and Narancia were drugged by the dealers. You'll probably feel bad for a little while, but you should be able to sleep it off. Do you think you can manage something to drink before you go back to sleep? You need to stay hydrated."
Giorno groaned, not making any motion to move. "Stomach." He didn't think he could even put water in there right now.
Bruno hummed in understanding. "Well, maybe we'll hold off for a couple more hours until your stomach settles."
Giorno murmured in agreement and buried his face in the pillow again. "It's over?" he asked.
"Yes. Another drug ring taken off the streets. I'm just sorry this happened to you and Narancia in the process."
"Still got them," Giorno said blearily with a small smile.
Bucciarati chuckled. "Yes, we did." He pulled the blankets up further around Giorno's shoulders, using them to shield his eyes a bit as well. "Rest now."
Giorno murmured and curled up, his exhaustion winning out over the stomach cramps and the ache in his head. Someday, they wouldn't have to worry about any more drug dealers in Napoli, but today, Don of Passione or not, he just really needed to sleep.

Boss s/o anon here! Sorry for making it unclear, I meant it as if diavolo doesn't exist and the boss was always their s/o! Hope this clears things up!
Headcannons for bucci gang's reaction when they find out their s/o and teammate was the boss the whole time? Not sure if its too much to do the whole squad, if it is, feel free to do whoever you like!
(SIDE NOTE: my limit is 3 characters but if you like how this request turns out, feel free to request the rest of them! i chose abba, bruno, and fugo for this one. also, i thought it would be cool that S/O had a split personality like diavolo/doppio and that’s why they went undetected. diavolo still exists but i made him basically s/o’s secondhand man.)
tw/cw: death, violence, angst
S/O is The Boss HC’s
Bruno Bucciarati
Ever since he offered to aid Giorno in defeating the don, he was on high alert and always on the lookout. Bruno had an image of what the boss may be like: cold and calculating, ruthless and willing to kill. The literal definition of evil, a bastard who allowed drugs to kill his community.
He would never expect it to be you, of all people. Kind, caring, and sweet. Bruno had first met you when you were assigned to his team by Polpo. He hadn’t recruited you personally, your stand long awaken, and you managed to survive the mafia for some years now. But regardless, he accepted you into his growing family and took a liking to you.
The two of you became lovers, and thus the parents of your small gang. Life was going smoothly until after one particular mission, where he had discovered one of the lower ranks participating in a drug deal. Which the don had allowed and that made his blood boil.
And things only got worse when Giorno was assigned to your team. You felt uncomfortable and slightly threatened by the new member but you didn’t know why. Eventually, your gang was assigned to escort Trish to her father, who was the don’s confidant. Anxiety began to creep within as you approached your destination... and then, something just snaps.
Your other personality emerged when you and Bruno escorted Trish to the top of the tower. Before the elevator ding, Bruno noticed he was only holding a hand and your stand had mercilessly punched him right through the chest. “Y/N... w-what are you doing--?”
“I’m not them. I’m the boss you’ve been wanting to betray.” That was not your voice, you would have never betrayed your capo like this. Apparently, you ordered Diavolo to kill his own daughter, fearing her connection to the man who was aware of your true identity. Bruno, realizing who you really are, was slipping away... hoping maybe this was just a bad dream.
Leone Abbacchio
Abbacchio would follow his capo, but if he had to choose, he would always want to stick by your side. You met him at a time where he sought out comfort, needed constant reassurance, and someone to just love him. You provided him security and he couldn’t envision a life without you.
The two of you always stuck together on missions but lately, he’s noticed you’re on edge when Bruno declared his betrayal. But everybody’s on edge and he’s glad you decided to go along with them to defeat the boss. It probably would’ve broken his heart if you had stayed with Fugo.
With some investigating and Trish’s help, Bucciarati finds a place where the don first met Diavolo. Abbacchio uses Moody Blues to go through time and possibly reveal the true identity of their boss. You instinctually bit your lips, not understanding the sudden peek of anxiety flooding your chest. Abbacchio finally finds the exact date... and it’s you--
Abbacchio looks at you with confusion and hurt but before he has a chance to ask any questions, there’s a sharp pain in his chest. It’s your stand’s fist, piercing through his heart. You hug him. There are tears in your eyes, apologizing to your love before letting your other personality gain control. Your boyfriend realizes who you are and it clicks to him.
He’s heard of dissociative identity disorder and it answers some of his questions to some of your weird habits and ticks. He coughs up blood and looks at your face, one last time. Abbacchio gives a sad smile to you, deciding to choose you, “forgive me, Bruno.” With the remaining strength of Moody Blues, it hits you and knocks you out cold.
You’re awakened by Giorno... there’s the soft push of waves, the birds’ singsong, and Narancia’s cries. You panicked, not remembering all that happened. Giorno is trying to see if you’re hurt but you see Abbacchio and the wound-- you run up and cradle his cold body, crying with Narancia.
Pannacotta Fugo
Out of all the members, he could tolerate you the most. You were likeminded, friendly, and could manage to keep his violent behavior at bay. It feels nice, not having to be pressured and keep expectations up for you. He felt like he could be yourself and never had the urge to hurt you.
Fugo can rely on your intellect and quick thinking to help him out of sticky situations. He can rely on you if he needs a listening ear, that isn’t Bruno. So, it’s no surprise to anyone when both of you develop feelings for one another and made your relationship official. Bruno thought you were Fugo’s anchor and help keep him grounded.
When the two of you heard about your capo’s betrayal, the two of you stayed behind. You reach for your lover’s hand as the gang set sail and watching Narancia swim after them. Fugo felt this mission was suicidal but at least you were still with him, right?
He turns to read the expression on your face and gasp at the malicious glare in your eyes and the devilish grin plastering your lips. The gang is long gone at this point. He let’s go of your hand, backing away as you take long strides toward your boyfriend... “Y/N, what’s with that face?”
To your other personality, Fugo is the pet you groomed. You reach and cup one of Fugo’s cheek as you lean and whisper in his ear, “I’m not Y/N. Surely, a smart boy like you heard of cases where the defendant has at least one other personality, right?” He gasps: you’re the boss--
Before he can speak, you give him a kiss. But it’s not your kiss, it’s a kiss of a strange evil. You give him a sickeningly sweet smile as you press yourself against your lover. “Now caro, I’m so happy you didn’t go with them. I didn’t want to kill you, or anyone really. You’ll stay by me, will you?” He gulps, realizing that maybe, being with you is more suicidal.

Hii!! I’m not sure if requests are still open but if they are... How about the Bucci gang with a reader who has problems with self harm? It’s a rather serious topic tho so I completely understand if you don’t want to
*I DISCOURAGE ANYONE YOUNGER THAN 13 OR EASILY TRIGGERED FROM READING THIS. IF YOU ARE/KNOW SOMEONE DEALING WITH THIS KIND OF PROBLEM, PLEASE ASK FOR HELP*
With that being said, thank you for your request and I wish you the best :)
GIORNO:
-Giorno almost immediately figured out there was something wrong with you. The way you constantly hid your wrists and acted like it was nothing made him extremely suspicious. However, he hesitated to tell you about it for a while, he wanted you to open up to him naturally without having to force you.
-But it was something that he could no longer keep on ignoring after almost 5 months. He had to talk to you.
-He calmly told you that he had something very serious that he wanted to discuss with you. You could already tell where this was going and tried to oppose, but once he puts his mind on something you can be sure that he isn't going to take "no" as an answer.
-"I'm sorry, Y/N, but I really want to talk to you about this, forgive me if I insist. Would you mind showing me your arms? And without the jacket, please."
-You just stared at him without saying a word.
-"Y/N...you know that I don't like repeating myself, so please do what I said"
-reluctantly you took your jacket off, as Giorno took a close look at the scars on both of your arms
-He looked at you in the eyes and immediately told you that this was not ok, and despite how much you didn't want to admit it, you knew he was right
-He started asking you lots of questions in order to understand better what caused you to harm yourself in this way, while you hated to talk about this, the calmness in his voice helped you opening up to him
-However, Giorno's method to actually handle the problem may seem a bit too...cynical. Being the leader of Passione, he made sure to contact the most qualified and well known therapist in the entire country, since he knows that self harm is a serious issue that requires medical treatment
-On the other hand, emotional support is also extremely important, which is something that a person like Giorno has a bit of trouble to realize
-You appreciate what he's doing and decides to see the therapist he has recommended, but you also try to make him understand that it isn't as simple as breaking a leg and going to the hospital
-He immediately apologizes for his "coldness" and always makes sure to check up on you even more than before. The "feeling side" of the relationship is something that he still struggles with at times, but you are more than happy to help him just like he's helping you getting better with this problem
BUCCIARATI:
-Bucciarati is probably the best one at handling the situation in the entire team.
-He noticed that something was wrong even before than Giorno, but unlike him, he didn't hesitate to tell you about it
-While you didn't expect him to bring it up in such a sudden way, a part of you was secretly glad that Bruno was able to see this through. You knew he was a kind and thoughtful person, and he would have done anything to help you
-"Y/N...I don't know why you'd hurt yourself this way, I'm not even going to ask you about it. Just know...I'll always be there for you, and I won't be satisfied until you heal from this"
-His first thought was to hide anything sharp inside the house, even though he believes you want to get better, he still doesn't want to take any risk
-He'd be too scared to leave you alone for a while, so you'll have to bear with him insisting on bringing you everywhere he goes
-Of course, he'd make sure to look for the best therapist he can find, if you're not comfortable with the one he suggested, he won't blink an eye and start looking for another one the minute after
MISTA:
-Mista takes quite longer compared to Bruno and Giorno to realize what's going on. He always thought it was kind of weird how you constantly wore shirts or dresses with long sleeves, but considering his own fashion style, he couldn't really say anything about it
-However, after around half an year, he started to grow more and more suspicious of your behavior, especially since who would ever wear long sleeves in the middle of Summer?
-While Mista probably knows what self harm is, he has never taken any interest in the subject, so he doesn't know how to react when he realizes what's going on
-Still, he deeply cares about you, and wants to help you in any way he can. He tried to get you to show him your wrists in a very relaxed way; if there was no tension, maybe opening up to him wouldn't have been as bad
-"Come on Y/N, you know that I love you, I'm just asking you to show me your arms. It can't be that bad, right?"
-You really didn't want to, and despite how much you loved Mista, you weren't exactly sure he was the best option to help you in this situation. Regardless, you decided to give him a chance, he was still your boyfriend, after all
-He was really freaked out when he saw your scars, but he knew that he couldn't ask you what to do to make you feel better, and that he had to look for a solution on his own.
-He considered asking the gang for help, but it was something way too private for him to tell them about it.
-The only idea that came into his mind was to talk to a therapist, which turned out to actually be good. He convinced you to take an appointment and the man would always give Mista some advices on how to make you feel better when you're not there.
NARANCIA
-Narancia...is most definitely not the best option in this situation. He's incredibly sweet and lovable, and would give his own life to make you feel better. The problem is that... Narancia doesn't even know what self harm means.
-He always tells the gang about what a cool girlfriend he's got, that you're never hot and even in the middle of Summer you still wear long sleeves. They hoped that, eventually, he would have figured out on his own what was going on, but after an entire year, they decided to tell him about it.
-Narancia didn't believe them at first and thought they were just trying to mess with him. The situation would have seriously gotten out of hand if Bucciarati wasn't there to stop him
-He refused to believe to what they were saying, but he wanted to ask you about it anyway, just to make sure that he was right and the other were a bunch of "dumb overthinkers"
-The easiest way would have been to tell Narancia that nothing was wrong, and that would have been the end of the discussion. But...you didn't want to, you wanted to get better, even though he didn't know anything about the subject, Narancia would have done anything to help you
-"Y/N...I-I know I'm not the smartest, but why didn't you tell me sooner? I...I want to be there for you, I don't know how but...e-everything will be fine, alright?"
-He immediately asks the gang for help, he doesn't want to take any risk and rely on someone that is more knowledgeable than you is definitely the safer option in this case
-He helps you find a therapist, of course, but he has some trouble understanding that he can't be there during the appointment, he just wants to be there 100% of the times
-He's great when it comes to emotional support though, he will constantly try to cheer you up and "Make all the bad thoughts go away"
-Please appreciate what this poor baby is doing, he's just trying his best
FUGO
-Fugo probably considered harming himself in the past, friendly reminder that he was about to kill his father with a dagger, are we sure that's all that he used that knife for?
-With that being said, he never actually went through with it, since he was too scared of how his parents would have reacted if they found out
-Because of this, Fugo notices that something is not right almost immediately, but he's too scared to tell you about it. He knows that this is an extremely sensitive subject, and he thinks that you're going to leave him if he brings that up
-However, eventually, he finds the courage to confront you, since knowing about the issue and doing absolutely nothing was slowly killing him inside
-"Y/N, please try to understand, this...is not good for you. I know that talking about it hurts...a lot, but it will never stop hurting if you don't face it!"
-He knows quite a lot about it, and encourages you to seek for professional assistance as soon as possible. Obviously, he helps you find a good therapist, and similar to Narancia, he's very annoyed that he can't participate to the sessions
-While he knows that emotional support is extremely important, Fugo isn't exactly the best when it comes to comforting somebody
-Of course, he'll do anything he can to avoid lashing out on you, but he's constantly worried that he isn't doing enough to help you.
-But you trust him, and you're sure that with a person like him by your side, you're going to get better
ABBACCHIO
-How do I say this...I think that Abbacchio doesn't simply know a lot about self harm, he has experienced it. He doesn't do it anymore, of course, but during that period of his life before Bruno welcomed him into the gang, Abbacchio reached a point where he would hurt himself on purpose on a daily basis.
-Because of this, he can immediately tell that something is seriously wrong, and he doesn't think twice about telling you about it
-However, while he understands how much it hurts, he still has serious problems confronting the issue in an healthy manner, so the way he told you wasn't exactly...very reassuring
-"Y/N, what the hell? Do you have ANY IDEA of how bad this is for you? What were you planning on doing? Cutting you *beep* arm until you run out of blood? Don't you give a **** about how much this would hurt the ones around you?"
-His words hurt more than the blade that passed through you veins more than once every day by now. You started crying and sobbing out loud, not knowing how to answer
-"Oh God...Y-Y/N, I'm...I'm sorry. I know how is it like...I know it t-too well. I just... I just w-want to help you"
-An entire hour later, he was able to calm you down, explaining to you his experience with self harm. Partially, you were mad at him for not talking about it sooner, but in a certain way, it reassured you, because he could perfectly understand what you were going through
-However, since he simply...stopped doing it after he met Bruno, he doesn't immediately understand what he's supposed to do to help you
-He's not dumb though, and after thinking about it for half an hour, he decides that the first step would be to find a good therapist. He feels...kind of uncomfortable accompanying you to the sessions, since the doctor accidentally thought he was the patient the first time you came to his studio
-When it comes to comforting you, as you already saw, his words may still be a bit... hostile, but you don't care. You know those words aren't filled with bitterness, that's just his way to show that he's genuinely worried for you
TRISH
-Trish, similar to Mista, knows what self harm is, but her knowledge about the issue is probably just the standard definition you would find in a dictionary
-She actually found about about the issue sooner than most members of the gang. How? It was a total coincidence, considering that she hadn't grown suspicious, not even in the slightest, that something could have been wrong
-One day, she convinced you to go shopping with her; you tried to decline, but eventually, you figured out that you could have stopped her from seeing your scars if you only put on long sleeved clothes
-It seemed like your plan almost succeeded, but as you were in the middle of putting on your regular clothes, Trish walked inside your changing room
-"Hey dear, what do you think of- Y/N, w-what are those things on your wrists? But...a-an enemy hurt you that way, r-right? You wouldn't harm yourself like that...RIGHT?!"
-You didn't say anything, you just looked down, feeling ashamed of yourself
-Since she couldn't get an answer out of you there, Trish immediately brought you back home, hoping that you would have felt more comfortable talking about it in a private place
-Slowly, you started explaining to her the whole situation. She didn't interrupt you a single time, but it was obvious from her expression that she wanted to ask you a lot of things. You could almost see her eyes getting wet
-She hugged you tight and told you that everything would have been ok. While she was clearly hurt to have found out about it in such way, she was willing to help you in any possible way
-After getting more informed about the subject, the two of you looked for a therapist together. She wanted to make absolute sure that you felt included in this choice too
-She took a break from her job as a pop star to remain by your side until you feel at least a bit better. You didn't want her to renounce to something so important for you, but when she told you about it she already made her mind, and she wasn't going to change it
-When she can't absolutely be there, she leaves you with Spice girl so that you don't feel completely alone

Ho!How are you?I am really impressed by the amazing way you were describing Mista, so may I get the chance to ask you: how would the gunman react to a witch entering the Bucci gang and slowly falling in love with her during the 8 days and after? If you do not want to answer, it is ok!Thank you anyway x Have a lovely day!
mista x witch fem!s/o
ah, i’m so glad that you thought it was good. thank you so much!! hopefully this suits your tastes as well. also, i’m using my own witchy research for this, so i hope you don’t mind! i’m pretty new to witchcraft as well, lol.
also, there’s not many hints of femininity and i’m sorry for that! i wasn’t sure if you wanted a female s/o for mista, but since you said “her” in your ask, i sprinkled in little parts of femininity.
@hecateluna
you came before mista, actually! you were kind of suspicious of him at first, but eventually grew to him. this was before giorno came into the gang, so you didn’t have too much threat of the stand users or anyone else. it was just a little group that you got to hang out with, pretty much.
at first, he didn’t know that you praticed your craft, but he did find some sort of attachment to you. after all, your softer personality was what made him fond of you. you treated everyone in the group with respect and wanted to be their friends. mista liked that in a person. since he was free of being judged, he let himself loose.
however, upon learning you did witchcraft, he was a bit upset. he had a fear of witches, ironically. what if you cursed or even hexed him? it was a dangerous territory that he didn’t want to cross. so, he tried to stray away from you, subtly to not hurt your feelings, but also a bit faster than normal people would. he’s somewhat afraid of you, now that he knows you do witchcraft. he also comes off as a bit cold towards you. it’s something you’re not really expecting.
he doesn’t know that you intend to use your craft for good. you only really have good intentions for him! the rest of the gang is fine with your witchcraft. hell, even narancia wants to know what you’re up to when in the middle of rituals and things like that. when you’re in the middle of a spell, either fugo or narancia (sometimes both) are next to you, just observing. even abbacchio has seemed interested in it! bruno doesn’t mind it either, he’s very interested whenever he has the downtime to learn about such things.
you’ve given miata charm bags before, just to see if they’ll help him come around to the idea of you being a witch. it’s quite obvious that he’s superstitious of your practice. he doesn’t know what to do with the charm bags, though. what if it’s secretly a bad omen? he’s very suspicious of it, but also wonders if it’ll work. so, he ends up keeping it with the pistols under his hat.
the pistols are almost excited about the fact that you practice witchcraft? they don’t really understand what exactly it is, but they’re interested to find out. mista tries to keep them away from it, but they’re too nosy to not try and join. number five has continuously stayed by your side while you make small spell jars to keep the others safe. it’s been working so far!
when mista’s beating up some man selling some drugs, he beat them up, of course. he had seen him selling them to mere teenagers, which he disliked the idea of. it was while you weren’t around, but your charm bag was! he probably would have been injured. the spirits seemed to have protected him for doing a good(ish) deed.
when he realizes that something seems different, like the way he keeps having good luck, he’s very confused. maybe you didn’t mean to bring any harm to him? was this charm bag thing even working? he had a lot of questions, so he eventually went to you and practically demanded them to be answered.
you, of course, said that it was witchcraft to help people that you liked. specifically, your teammates. mista was still a bit suspicious, but then again, he had seen weirder things. so, he decided to believe you, even if he didn’t really like the idea of witchcraft. plus, he secretly liked the smile you wore when he said that he trusted you.
after that, giorno had joined the group. you and mista were starting to get close, you constantly blessing him and protecting him with spells. you two in particular were very close and most of the gang could already tell that something was forming from it. you put a lot of your protection spells into mista, as you knew he was most likely prone to get into battles.
throughout the eight days, you and mista were constantly found together, always protecting each other from any harm. mista protected you physically, trying to keep you out of harms way. you protected him by trying to bless mista. it was a beneficial team really. however, you also both enjoyed each other’s company.
however, mista had also fallen in love with you. it was somewhat a mess on his side, trying to figure out his emotions. but you were mainly oblivious to it. or, if you noticed, you decided not to say anything to embarrass him. though, you had also fallen in love with him. after all, he was all things that you enjoyed in your life. sometimes, he could be funny and carefree and other times, he could be very protective of his friends. that’s just the type of person you liked!
after trish came into the group, you had your suspicions on what would happen to her when bucciarati delievered her to the boss. you made sure to protect her using your spells, even setting up a spell jar for her. you just hoped that she would be alright. after all, she seemed like the type of girl you would be friends with.
when the time came to betray the boss, however, you and mista both were a little skeptical of it. but you both would follow bruno’s lead, as he was the one who picked you up from being in a lonely situation.
you confided in mista a lot, he did the same to you. when you had a break from fighting enemies, you usually came to him in good hopes to talk about your feelings of worry and anxiousness. he was always there to calm you down, trying his best to relax you even when he himself was worried. the outcome of this disaster might not have been good, but you both still had each other’s back.
when you witnessed abbacchio’s body, you were overcome with so many emotions, but you were mostly scared at this point. you couldn’t go back now, not from this. mista was there, right by your side, keeping you close to him and covered your eyes after he realized that you were blankly staring. it was heartbreaking, really, but you couldn’t do anything else other than listen to narancia’s cries to take him back. it was a hard blow, especially since abbacchio actually seemed to be interested in talking to you.
it was really quiet between the two of you after that. not much was said besides you occasionally mumbling your spells. but, at least the feeling of mista’s presence in the room calmed you down. he was always there, after that. you couldn’t really remember a time where he had left you alone.
with narancia’s death, you were terrified. he was such a free-spirited and kind-hearted kid, you had no idea that he was going to die in such an awful way. there really wasn’t much time to mourn about their deaths, however, you had to keep pushing through the tragedies.
once the boss was killed and giorno was officially don, however, you started to spend most of your time around mista once again. mista had fallen for you throughout the events of the past week. he quickly took his chance at trying to ask you out, almost scared that if he waited too long, you would have been gone.
when you accepted, he hugged you close. it made you feel like everything around you was finally coming up to this point. he really did care for you, after all. and he wanted to make sure that you were safe, now that everything was over.
once you two started dating, the pistols always made sure that you were okay and feeling well, even when mista wasn’t around. they’d provide you company when they noticed you were getting a bit lonely, however. you really liked the pistols!
mista was still funny and carefree after that, just like how he was before. everything was a lot less stressful now. hell, you could even go on an actual day off with giorno as don. you and mista went on nice dates with the two of you shopping for things. he wasn’t the type to get into the beauty world, but he tried his best to find you make-up and pretty clothes that would suit you well.
though, he was a lot more protective over you than before. you both had a lot of anxiety after the whole situation, but in the end, you both made it out alive. you normally at least held onto mista’s hand to feel that he was still alive. he liked hugging you from behind when he could. physical affection was very comforting.
your relationship was sailing smoothly after that! you both stayed true to yourselves and made sure that the other was alright. even if you still praticed witchcraft, mista was very accepting of it at that point. he figured that your spells and whatnot worked. it managed to keep him safe within the entire hectic week. he now treasures your ability, but still makes sure that you’re not trying to do anything too draining.

I recently just read a fic with Trish dying and turning into a ghost. So far the author hasn't finished it but how do you think the bruno gang would react if diavolo killed her like he planned and they found about it much later on.
Hi there, darling! :3 Aaaaaa aaaanggssttt!! I hope to have satisfied your wish, my dear!!
Bruno’s gang reaction to find out that Diavolo killed Trish, like planned, but they find about it much later on
(Under the cut for length!)
Everything seemed to have gone as it should. Bruno found out about the Boss’ real intentions and managed to drag Trish away, both severely injured, Bruno barely alive. When Giorno, dragging the others too, came in their aid, Bruno really thought they had made it, that the Boss would have left Trish alone, at least for the meantime, to retreat and reorganize.
Bruno was wrong. No one noticed King Crimson sliding behind them. Diavolo carefully and smartly used his gift to skip and it was so subtle that no one noticed it. One second he was near Trish, the second after he was retreating, a smug smile on his face.
When Bruno gently put Trish inside Coco Jumbo, he, as the others, didn’t notice that her heart wasn’t beating anymore.
Bruno Bucciarati
When he found out about it, Bruno felt devastated. It was his fault, he knew it was his fault… if only he managed to protect her better. If only he had noticed that the Boss wasn’t retreating, if only, if only… he tortured himself over and over again, thinking about what he could have do to prevent the disgrace. Even if he didn’t know Trish since long as he knew his boys, Bruno had grown fond on her. She was just a girl, a young girl who didn’t have anything to do with his dark world: he just wanted to keep her safe and allow her to live the life she wanted. He thought that safeness, for her, would have been with the Boss; he was wrong. He should have known, he told himself again and again, he should have known, he should have suspected something and not blindly go on with the mission… it was his fault. Trish, an innocent, died because of him.
Bruno would need time to recover from it. The mission, before its tragic ending, had been exhausting both physically and mentally, and her death had been the last blow. He’s more uncertain about his decision, now, as they have lead to Trish’s death; he doesn’t know if he would be a good Capo, as he wasn’t able to protect a girl from his own father. His team is always near him, not to let him sink down: just time and their presence would help him to finally emerge from this deep gloominess with a new determination to take down the Boss. This time for Trish too.
Leone Abbacchio
Abbacchio hadn’t a real opinion on Trish, as he was more interested in fulfilling the mission than about Trish as person. When he saw her entering San Giorgio Maggiore with Bruno, he felt relieved: they did it, the mission had been a success! But it all crumbled down when he saw Bruno heavily wounded, as Trish, and heard about the Boss’ real intentions. This drew a line for him: he was an ex corrupted policemen, yes, he considered himself the scum of society, yes, he was a gangster, yes, but what the Boss did was over it. It was disgusting, it was cruel and unnatural and Abbacchio couldn’t stand it. He decided to follow Bruno on the boat mainly ‘cause at the time his life was voted to fight at Bruno’s side, yes, but a small part of him wanted also to punish the Boss for what he had tried to do. Just that the Boss already did it, when no one was watching. Abbacchio was angry, angry with himself, first, and with the others too. Why no one noticed anything?! How the hell could the Boss come so near to kill his daughter under their noses?! He hated it, he hated it with all his heart. He always was against kids in the organization or somehow involved in it, so, in his heart, he wished for Trish a life far from mafia, a normal life. Now she wouldn’t ever had this chance. They haven’t protect her, in the end: the mission was a failure.
Abbacchio wouldn’t need as much time as Bruno to recover, so he’d mostly try to drag his leader out of the mourn he’s in. They can’t lose him, not him too, they need a guide, Bruno is their Capo and has to control his emotions and go on! Especially now that they’re on the run and are trying to find out the Boss’ real identity. They all have to endure the pain and go on if they don’t want to be killed! They have to do it, for Trish too. They have to fight for Trish too!
Guido Mista
As Abbacchio, Mista hadn’t a fully-formed opinion on Trish. He found her pretty, she had a sharp tongue -he still huffs a chuckle remembering when she used Fugo’s jacket as towel and her words after she did so-, a good smell… but he hadn’t had the chance to really talk to her, as they were always chased by various assassins out to hunt for their blood. He didn’t find her suited for mafia, this was for sure; it was a relief seeing her entering the church, as, now, she would have been safe from her father’s enemies. It wasn’t so: her greatest enemy was her own father, apparently. Mista, grown in a big and unite family, couldn’t accept it, he couldn’t even think about it. For him family was sacred: how could a father want to kill his own daughter? He just… he couldn’t understand. It was a so alien thought that he couldn’t keep it in his mind. This also helped him to finally take the decision to go on the boat: if for the Boss was so easy to kill his own family, than how much easier would have been to kill his subordinates? He couldn’t stand a Boss like this. He wanted to change things and Trish too would have been safe! But… it wasn’t more necessary. It had been Mista the one who noticed first that Trish was sleeping since when they had left Venice and she was so still… he touched her and felt her skin cold. He still screamed Giorno’s name, calling him inside the turtle to try to use Gold Experience to heal her, to do something, but inside of his heart he knew it was too late. Guido felt empty, after that. It was too late; the Boss has always been two steps in front of them. In fact, the Boss had already won and they hadn’t even noticed it. Mista felt guilty, even, ‘cause they had promised to protect her, but look now: she was dead. They had… failed her. She, who trusted them, in the end died. And it was their fault.
Even if he shaked off the mourn pretty fast, Mista, inside, was still in a turmoil. He felt guilty, angry, sad, all together. He had to regain his composure fast, as they were on the run, but, inside, oh, he was a ticking bomb. He didn’t know Trish since long, true, but her death was so unfair and sudden that it just shocked him to this point. He wanted to fight the Boss, he wanted to put an end to his reign of terror. For Trish and for all the others who died for the Boss’ pride.
Narancia Ghirga
Narancia was pretty indifferent towards Trish, but this didn’t mean he wouldn’t have wanted to be her friend! it wasn’t just the moment nor the place to do so. He liked her, he felt they could have been good friends, but what really made him feel a connection with her was what her father almost did to her in the church. She had been betrayed by someone who should have protect her… she was like him. He was like her. How could he deny his protection and help to someone who was in his same situation? He wanted to talk to her about it. He knew how it was to be betrayed in this way: he hoped to help her a little… but he never had the chance to help her. Trish was dead, she had been so since they rushed far from Venice. The Boss… the Boss did it. The Boss, in the end, won. Narancia felt angry, at first, so angry that he wanted to scream. Then it came the pain and the remorse, ‘cause he felt like he hadn’t done enough. If he had used Aerosmith, maybe he would have sensed the Boss, maybe Trish wouldn’t have died…
Narancia’s determination to take down the Boss, now, was doubled. He was ready to give everything he had, to fight ever subordinate the Boss would have sent to them, all to finally take him down, all to finally avenge Trish. A man who’s ready to kill so easily his own daughter is too much even for a criminal organization: Narancia couldn’t stand the thought to serve a man like this. For Trish and for all the close people the Boss surely used and then thrown away, Narancia wanted to fight and win. For them all.
Pannacotta Fugo
Fugo was the first to welcome Trish in the group, but also the first to touch with hand how snarky a scared girl thrown completely out of her life all of the blue could be. Even so, Fugo was not one to hold grudges over it: a scream and it’s gone. Being he a really diligent person, he knew that this mission was crucial to Bruno to achieve his role as Caporegime; completing it would have made him so respected that no one would have even tried to question his authority. So, Fugo was determined to fulfill the mission: not just for his leader, of course, but also for Trish. Even if she acted that way, it was clear that she was scared, that she wanted to have nothing to do with mafia and its affairs and Fugo couldn’t disagree with her: no one would have willingly chosen to be in a criminal organization. And so, when the real intentions of the Boss had been revealed, Fugo was more than shocked. And now… now what? What were they supposed to do? Fight the Boss? Fight him and die all together in a useless mission? Even if… even if part of him wanted to go, his brain was screaming not to go, that it was a suicide mission, they… they have to hide, first, and to think about a plan, not run like crazy hoping to find clues…! He watched them go with a heavy heart, feeling, inside, that someone wouldn’t have come back, from that damn mission. What he didn’t expect was that the one who didn’t come back would have been Trish. He was totally shocked when the others told him what the Boss did to her, that… that all of them had been fooled. Fugo’s first reaction is anger. When he’s stressed, nervous or too overwhelmed, he expresses his turmoil with anger bursts. He even had to go outside, not to explode with the others. All useless, everything they did, every enemy they had fought… useless. Trish was already dead, they… they had fought for a corpse, he found himself to think, bitter. But… no, not for a corpse. In the end, they fought for Trish, for her spirit, not her corpse. In the end they avenged her, so… so, maybe, her spirit was now resting in peace.
Even if it’s a hard blown -it’s never easy to see a person of your age die, even if you don’t know them well- Fugo does his best not to let Trish’s death be useless. Now that the Boss has been defeated, they all can work to build a better Passione, to drag the organization out of the terror Diavolo had thrown it in; and Fugo helps in it, he gives everything he has, every energy and minute he has for this. He offers his intelligence and strategic ability to the new Don, to use it in a better way: and all, also, for Trish. For the girl who made it all possible, whose death gave them the determination to go on and really fulfill their goal. It was all also for Trish.
Giorno Giovanna
In the beginning, Trish, for Giorno was mostly just the best way to reach for the Boss. He was trying to find a good excuse to go near to the Boss, he was preparing himself to wait months, but fate seemed to be at his side, sending no one else but the Boss’ daughter… and they had to accompany her to him! They would have been near him! It was the right chance to try to take him down, Giorno thought, feeling even relieved, knowing that soon it all would have been ended. But it didn’t go according to the plan: the Boss wanted to kill Trish, instead of keep her safe, and Giorno, as much as he cared for his dream, wouldn’t ever just let a person die for the sake of it. He had to think again about what to do, now, he had to plan… but Mista’s scream interrupted him. Giorno was rushed inside Coco Jumbo, as Trish apparently wasn’t feeling well. When he used Gold Experience on her, however, Giorno understood, with shock and horror, that she was… dead. Trish was dead. She was cold and rigid… for how long had she been dead? Hours? More? Giorno cannot speak, he cannot even think. This… this was too much. This was the first time he felt hopeless, that he cannot help somehow. His Gold Experience was useless, as it couldn’t bring back dead people; he felt useless. Trish… she was innocent. She was a common girl dragged in a world made of darkness, and her only fault was to be born. For her father, she had to die for being born, for simply existing. Trish’s death was a hard blow for him: was his dream really worth it? How many other would have died for it? Bruno? Mista? Who else? Even so, even if he felt so desperate, he didn’t show it. He had to be strong… he had led everyone in that mess and he would have done everything to keep them safe. At least them.
When it was all done, Giorno allowed himself to mourn. He didn’t know Trish a lot, nor he was a close friend or even an acquaintance, but… she has been part of the team, even if just for a little time. She entrusted them with her life, but they have failed her. She had dreams and hopes, like all of them, and they had been crushed by her own father’s hand. She had so much to do, so much to see… there was one last thing that Giorno had promised her: taking her back to her home and burying her near her mother. When it was all finished, Giorno kept the promise, the last one he made to Trish.

They met on a quiet winter afternoon. While Fugo was discussing the last mission’s results with Bruno, arguing it could have gone better had they had better information, they entered the restaurant and made a straight line towards them. Not knowing who it was, Fugo tensed up and got ready to fight, but upon seeing Bruno’s calm demeanor, he quickly changed into a more curious stand.
“I’m here to talk to Mr. Buccellati. Do you guys know where I can find him?” They didn’t seem to be very informed as to why they were there, but that didn’t mean they weren’t there to hurt him.
“That’s me. How may I call you?” Bruno got up of his sit and offered his hand to the newcomer.
“I’m (Name). Very nice to meet you, sir. As I’m sure you already know, I’m here to be the new addition to your team!”
“Oh, yes. I’m very sorry I wasn’t able to bring you here myself, I just had very important things to look over, but I’m sure we’ll get to know each other soon enough. Come meet the team.”
While walking behind Buccellati to get to the team’s table, they approached Fugo to introduce themselves.
“Hi! I’m…”
“I heard your name. I’m Fugo.” He interrupted, not wanting to repeat what had already been said because he had more important things to discuss. He went ahead and continued his discussion with Bruno, leaving them feeling angered why that blunt display of disrespect.
They took the day to get to know the team, their names, and their quirks and to get to be known by them too. They seemed weird but overall, good people.
But there was one who just stood out as violent and temperamental. The first time they witnessed fugo teaching Narancia they truly feared for the latter’s life, not wanting him to be impaled out of nowhere with a fork every time he got an answer wrong (which honestly seemed to be all the time). While on missions, Fugo seemed always ready to leave them all behind without a second thought, not even lingering enough to see if they could be saved.
He caught on to this rejection from their part and felt a little hurt. They didn’t even know him. he deserved to be at least known before he was judged, although he knew his personality probably scared people away. But fine. If they wanted to make him the bad guy, he would be. He didn’t need any brat who knew nothing about him to do his work and do it well.
-
Months went by, this rivalry between the two of them getting stronger every day. Both of them using their free time to complain about the other with other members of the group, whoever would listen to them. Everyone was starting to get annoyed about the whole ordeal, some of them even tried to punch them many times.
Bruno, being the diplomatist of the group, found a much less confrontational way of fixing the issue, and started sending them on missions together any chance he got. He found some resistance from both parts, but of course, they did what their capo told them to.
Going on missions together, most of the work fell in (Name)’s shoulders. Not that they minded, they knew what Purple Haze was capable of, and even though they didn’t like the guy, they understood the seriousness of the situation and knew not to play with that kind of power. That was until they saw themselves in a sticky situation, of which they couldn’t come out, and Fugo had to save them.
After everything was sorted out and the situation was defused, Fugo encountered some reluctance on Purple Haze’s part to come back, and when he went to check why, he found him looking very curiously to their stand. After a bit of trying to force him, he was finally able to make him come back before they saw the scene.
He’d have to admit he was curious as to why did the stands find each other so fascinating. The look in their eyes when they saw each other seemed almost relieved. Like they had been wanting to meet for so long. Maybe he was interested in them?
No. No way. He despised them. They didn’t deserve his interest if they weren’t willing to get to know the real him. The real Pannacotta. Who really wanted to be known by them.
Next time an incident like this happened, (Name) was the one who saw them. Unaware that Fugo already knew this, also tried to hide their stand before he saw them. Successfully retreating their stand, they went on their way home thinking about what had just happened. Their stand looked truly amazed at Purple Haze. Could it be that’s how they felt about Fugo? It’s true he seemed so mysterious and cool most of the time, but still, they wouldn’t want to be treated the way he treated Narancia. All that niceness was just a facade to hide his true, hideous personality. Best to keep away from him.
They both truly believed the other was bad news, and yet, their stands seemed to really connect, like a Romeo and Juliet kind of thing. Every now and then they would come out just to see each other, forcing their users to spend time in the same room more often than they’d like. Soon, they found each other having meals together, sometimes they would wander through the restaurant they used as headquarters without knowing why or where they were going, only to find each other and their stands reuniting just to look at each other with curiosity. Buffing, they would go back to where they were before, but soon enough that anger turned into mild annoyance, and then it became sadness.
Sadness because they couldn’t even ask each other or make theories about this, and… they wanted to spend time together. Something inside both of them changed the way they saw the other, or at least tried. But they had to maintain that rivalry they had created, if only for their own pride. They couldn’t just let it go, not yet.
-
After a few weeks of this, both of them had enough. Not only they had to share missions, now they had to share every waking moment because their stands wouldn’t leave each other. Fugo was getting even angrier at this because he was scared Purple Haze would lose its temper and kill everyone right then and there. And then, one day, he finally said it.
“Okay, I’m done with this. We’ve been spending time in silence for the past weeks and it’s very much annoying. The only reason I don’t stick a fork up your cheek is because Buccellati would kill me if I did. How about we talk about this? But more importantly, why don’t you like me?” His tone revealed annoyance right up until the end, where his voice cracked and for a brief moment, (Name) could see the vulnerability and insecurities in him. But still, they were angry.
“Me?! You’re the one who started treating me like shit from the beginning. Who do you think you are to start dumping your shit on me?”
“Dumping my shit on you? I was angry because you never took the time to get to know me!”
“Oh, so we were both misled by ourselves.i’m sorry, Fugo. But still, you were awful to me the first time we met."
“I remember now. you’re right, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have cut you off like that, I was just on a hurry to get back to what I was talking. How about we start over? Hi, I’m Fugo. Nice to meet you.” (Name) rolled their eyes, but still decided it was a good idea to not get on his bad side again.
“Hi Fugo, I’m (Name). Nice to meet you too.” After a little pause, and now looking at him with different eyes, they made a decision. “Would you like to go get dinner with me? We can talk this time, I promise.” This took fugo by surprise and finally saw them under a different light. Maybe he was interested in them. He would have to get to know them.
“Sure. There’s this amazing place I know a few meters from here if you’d like.” This made them laugh, and it was the first time Fugo heard it. Immediately, he was hooked.
The night was spent talking about some funny moments in their missions they hadn’t had the chance to discuss, some anecdotes from their time in the mafia, and getting to know each other, and soon enough, they were inseparable. The team was relieved about not having to hear them bicker over and over again about the same stuff but quickly caught up to was else was going on. Having gotten rid of them badmouthing each other, now they had to hear nice things about them. It would never end. They had to do something.
All of them completely supportive, pushed a little to make them understand their feelings towards one another. After a mission, they decided to go have some coffee to this little place they had adopted as theirs, and both of them had something to say.
“Hey, (Name), I have something I’d like to discuss.”
“Me too, actually. But you can talk first.”
“Okay, so, here it goes. Since we became friends there has been a little voice in my head that tells me we were supposed to be something else. And I think I agree. I hope this isn’t too sudden, but… would you like to go out with me?”
“Yes! That’s what I wanted to tell you too!” (Name) took no time to think about their reply because they already knew.
A smile appeared on both their faces, a smile so big it seemed to shine on its own. They got up of their sits and hugged each other with force, (Name) placing a small kiss on his cheek, sharing happiness never felt by neither of them.

In a Week
Narancia has a huge crush on the cute boy in his Literature class who smells like flowers.
NaraMis Week 2019 - Day 4: Fear/Comfort/Flowers
So this is my first time posting a fic on tumblr but i got a shit ton of other fics, mostly overwatch, taz amnesty, and jojo fics on ao3 so feel free to check them out!
This was a part of NaraMis Week that was organized by @blubby-glub and just decided to post here bc i actually liked it
You can read this fic on ao3 here
The first time Narancia meets Mista, he almost runs him over.
He didn’t mean it at all! It was that all three of them were running late, Abbacchio having left the house in a hurry, driving in a way no self-respecting police officer should drive. All three of them had slept pass their alarm and the only reason they were awake was by the sole fact that Fugo had yelled a curse out loud, startling him and Abbacchio awake. Class started at 7:20 and to say they were running late was an understatement. They had ten minutes to get the school, and by god will Narancia get them there on time, traffic laws and the usual twenty-five-minute drive it took to get there be damned.
Let it be known that Narancia doesn’t usually (read: ever) drive. Driving was left up to Fugo, who while prone to a severe case of road rage, is quite the good driver. The only reason that Narancia was driving that instant was because of Fugo not being able to find his license. Leaving Narancia to be the driver for the day. Something Narancia hated six minutes later, four minutes to go before the two were officially late.
Narancia was gunning down the road, definitely over the speed limit when he notices two figures starting to cross the road. Fugo shouts and Narancia curses, slamming the breaks. He probably would’ve hit the taller of the three were it not for the other two quickly pulling the other back and out of the way. The group of five stared at each other, shocked and a little terrified at what had almost occurred before the girl of the group recovered and threw them the nastiest glare either of the boys had ever seen.
“Hey! Watch where you’re going! You couldn’t have almost killed him!” she shouted, anger making her frame tense. Narancia gulped. Man, she is terrifying. She turned to her companions, a blonde kid and the guy with the beanie. “Are you okay? That idiot didn’t manage to clip you right?” she asked, another poisonous glare thrown at them. The taller of the boys nodded, releasing a shaky breath.
“Yeah, yeah, no, I’m fine! Just a close one,” he laughed weakly, glancing at Fugo and him. Narancia felt himself dying of embarrassment. Before either of them could open their mouth to apologize, the blond in the back pipped up.
“We have two minutes left. We got to go,” the other two cursed and the trio ran off towards the school. Narancia and Fugo stared after them for a solid minute, before Fugo broke the silence.
“You… are never allowed to drive again…” he said slowly, staring after the group as they entered the building. Narancia nodded.
“Agreed,”
They got there late. Fugo flicked him upside the head as they ran down the hallway, dipping into a classroom on his way. Narancia grimaced and picked up his pace. Maybe Risotto hadn’t shown up? He kept that hope as he turned and ran to his classroom almost slamming into the door. He throws it in, heaving only to have the whole class and Risotto stare at him. So much for that dream. Risotto raised a thin white eyebrow.
“Sorry…” he heaved, still searching for air. The teacher just rolled his eyes and gestured to the last open chair, that happened to be with the last person Narancia wanted to see right now. He wasn’t sure what god he pissed off that lovely Tuesday morning but damn it if karma wasn’t helping them. Sitting in the desk at the back was the dude with the beanie. The one he almost ran over.
Narancia didn’t know if he should laugh or just cry at this point.
“Narancia, if you would please take a seat over there next to Guido so I can continue the lesson you rudely interrupted? Thank you,” the man said, a little exasperated.
“Sorry, sir,”
“Don’t let it happen again,”
Narancia felt dread as he walked to the back of the room. The boy didn’t notice he was there until he pulled the chair, the legs scraping against the scratched linoleum, causing the other (Guido, his brain supplies) to jump in his seat, startled. He can hear a sigh from the teacher. Oops. It’s not even eight yet and this might just be one of the most horrifying and embarrassing days of his life. Must be a new record. Guido stares at him, surprised as he sits down, before turning back to his doodling. Narancia tries to ignore the haunting situation he finds himself in. He tries to focus on the lecture but he couldn’t care less about the difference between a Shakespearean and Petrarchan sonnet, and so his eyes begin to drift. They end up landing on Guido.
The other boy was taller than him and seemed a bit more muscular. He wore a purple beanie and a striped baggy shirt. He could see some curls peeking out from beneath his hat. He had long lashes and the darkest eyes he’s ever seen. He was focused on his doodling, brows slightly furrowed and tongue peeking out slightly. Narancia glanced and saw he was doodling flowers, different kinds. Narancia didn’t know much about flowers but the little drawings were pretty nice. He noticed a bundle of roses, what was probably a daisy, a tulip, among others. It was pretty cute. He was pretty cute. Dear God, he almost ran over the cute boy in his literature class who draws flowers. The situation had been present in his mind, yes, but it hadn’t quite sunk in that 1) the almost-victim of the vehicular manslaughter he almost committed is just his type and 2) he would have to see him every other day for the rest of the school year.
Narancia groaned and put his head on his desk. Quite possibly the worst day of his life. He can already imagine Fugo’s sadistic glee at seeing him suffer like this. He felt a soft tap at his head, he groaned. He didn’t even care if it was his teacher, he just needed to suffer for five minutes an then he’ll be somewhat okay. The tapping returned, just a little more prodding, and that’s when Narancia noticed that the tapping was coming from his other side. He felt mortification engulf him as if he was thrown into a lake. He snapped his head up quicker than he thought, headbutting Guido, who had leaned in a little closer than he expected. The other boy hissed in pain, hands shooting up to cover his nose. Narancia cursed, having slammed his knee with his desk when he jumped up.
“Narancia, how many times will I have to call you attention in this class?” Risotto approached them, voice tired. The whole class stared at the two of them, not that Narancia noticed as he was too busy looking at Guido horrified. The other’s nose had started bleeding. The older man turned to look at Guido holding his nose and Narancia’s hand rubbing his bruised leg and sighed.
“Both of you go to the nurse’s office,”
Narancia couldn’t even reply, he felt horrified. Guido nodded and began to stand up, spurring Narancia into action. He winced at the pain in his leg.
“Thank you, R-Mr. Nero,” he said, quickly before whispering, “You think you can not mention this to Abbacchio?”
“Not a chance.”
“Yeah, I figured.”
He and Guido left the room, Narancia making sure there was enough distance between the two. He didn’t want to trip Guido or anything, because knowing his luck, he might just break the other’s arm or something. In moments like this, he was glad Fugo wasn’t around. He thinks his brother would have just died of laughter at the hole Narancia’s dug himself in. It was kind of pathetic.
“Hey, uh… Narancia, was it? Can we stop by the bathroom? I could use a napkin… or two for, you know,” Guido said, gesturing to his nose. His voice sounded a bit nasally from the pressure he was putting on his nose, blood dripping from his nose through the cracks in his fingers and down his chin. Oh, yeah. That would’ve been smart. Great thinking Narancia.
“Y-Yeah! Of course!” Narancia was never going to leave the house ever again, education be damned.
After a quick detour to the bathroom, they arrived at the nurse’s office. She gave an ice pack to Narancia to keep the swelling down and gave some cotton balls soaked in alcohol to Guido. The two sat next to each other, Guido’s head tilted back, and Narancia fighting not to bounce his injured leg. The silence felt oppressive to him.
Just talk to him, introduce yourself to him. ‘Hey, I’m sorry for almost hitting you with my car and for headbutting you!’ Easy, you got this!
“You should look both ways when you cross.” What the fuck. Guido gave him an incredulous look.
“Are you serious?” Why was he built like this?
“T-That’s not what I meant! I really really did not mean for that to come out?” He panicked, flailing his arms around. This is officially the worst day of his life. “I meant to say sorry! For almost hitting you with my car! This morning! Hi, I’m Narancia! Also sorry for headbutting you! It’s just not been my day and I was speeding and your name is Guido isn’t it? That’s a nice name! Uh, anyways! I’m sorry for um almost killing you? God, that’s horrifying. Your friend is also really scary, she terrified me and my brother. Why do I keep talking? I AM SORRY!”
Mista blinked, taken aback by the speed at which Narancia delivered his small, disjointed speech. Narancia was already choosing which kind of coffin he would like to bury himself into. He’s thinking nice mahogany, painted black. He thinks Abbacchio would like it.
Guido opened his mouth, Narancia already finalizing his testament, but was interrupted when a man with a black bob opened the door. He wore a long-sleeved loose shirt, with light washed jeans and rubber boots. His eyes swept through the room before landing on the two boys.
“Hey, Bruno…” Guido smiled sheepishly, the cotton ball still held near his nose. “Funny seeing you here,”
The man, Bruno, just stared at the other, unimpressed.
“When I told you that I was picking you guys early, it wasn’t a free pass to get sent to the nurse’s office.” Mista shrugged.
“It was an accident.” Bruno huffed, rolling his eyes. Narancia could see a soft smile grace his features.
“Sure it is. Either way, I’m glad you are okay. Let’s go wait for Trish and Giorno.” From behind the older man, Narancia catches the glimpse of a police hat and silver hair. Oh shit. Abbacchio appears behind Bruno, saying a soft excuse me, before his eyes land on Narancia. They look at each other for a solid minute. Abbacchio turns to Guido and Bruno, the latter helping pick up the former’s bag while Guido wiped the blood from his face. Abbacchio turned back to him.
“What the fuck, kid?” Narancia would like to know too.
Fugo had had a field day with this one, his adopted brother laughing for five minutes straight. Whenever the laughter would petter down, one look at Narancia would start the laughter again. Finally, Abbacchio took pity on him and put an end to it.
“Alright, Fugo, lay off. Sure he almost hit this guy with the car, ran into the class all sweaty and gross, which Risotto texted me about just so you know, and then proceeded to headbutt the same kid and bruise the hell out of his own knee in the process is funny, but you should stop teasing him about it,” the policeman said from where he was cooking the dinner for the night. Fugo cackled and Narancia slammed his head on the table.
“I hate you both,”
The idea of going to school was haunting. Even if Abbacchio let him stay home the next day, he still had to face Guido. Something he really didn’t want to do. He felt both relieved and upset that Guido wasn’t there in the first block. It wasn’t until lunch when he was sitting with Fugo, waiting for Sheila, that he got an answer. The blond kid that had been with Guido approached them. He looked at the small group before his eyes landed on Narancia. The kid looked pretty small and skinny, but he was still at least an inch taller than Narancia. Maybe he was here to fight him? He did almost run over his friend.
“You’re Narancia right?” he asked, voice devoid of emotions. Oh, yeah. Narancia’s going to get destroyed.
“Why do you ask?” Fugo questioned, sitting up a bit straighter. The blond turned to him, raising an eyebrow. Sheila approaches them, drinking a juice box.
“My brother asked me to give this to a Narancia,” he said, holding up a little box none of them have noticed. “Which surprises me, considering you guys almost ran him over with your car,” Sheila choked on her juice, turning to the blond. The blond nodded to her.
“Hey, Sheila,”
“Wait, Giorno, you’re telling me it was these idiots that almost ran over Mista?” her voice trembled with laughter as she turned to stare at the two. Fugo and Narancia grimaced. Sheila’s eyes grew bright and she laughed. “Narancia, I can’t believe you almost hit Mista with a car, and then gave him a bloody nose, this is rich.” Giorno shook his head, a smile on his lips. Narancia relaxed. If Giorno was here to beat him up on behalf of his brother, he probably wouldn’t be amused by the situation.
“Anyways, are you Narancia or not? Mista told me to give this to you. He would’ve done it himself, but he’s a bit sick,” he said, holding out the box. Narancia nodded, taking the box. Giorno hummed, then waved to Sheila before walking away. Narancia stared in wonder, opening the box and seeing a single rose with a small note tied to it. Narancia gently took the note out.
“Water under the bridge. Call me Mista.”
After the most horrifying day in his life, everything with Mista smoothed over.
Mista introduced Narancia to his younger siblings. Giorno looked at him, vaguely smug-looking, almost like a cat. Trish stared at him, almost as if searching for something. Whatever she found must have satisfied her as she smiled at him and allowed him to sit. Narancia felt slightly nervous around her. Mista’s siblings were scary, despite being only sophomores. They looked like they knew more than they let on, blue eyes peering into his soul. He shivered, glad and a little exasperated that Mista didn’t really notice.
He also introduced Mista to Fugo, who had apologized for almost running him over. Narancia was a little jealous it went over better than how his apology had gone. SHeila had already been friends with Mista and his siblings, so it was quite easy for the two of them to just sit with the others. Apparently, Trish was the girlfriend Sheila had been talking about. Narancia liked it, it was nice to have a little group. It was nice to be able to hang out with Mista.
Mista, who he still had a major crush on. The more he learned about the other, the more infatuated he became. He had the same sense of humor as Narancia and liked the same music. He smelled like flowers and rich earth, something that was a mystery to him. Mista also loved flowers. It was something he’d noticed amongst the foster siblings. They all had the same affinity to nature in general. They all had that same pleasant smell.
He was looking for flowers to put on his mother’s grave. His usual shop had closed early for the day, so he searched for another shop nearby. He almost missed it in the search results, but the name drew him in. La Calendula.
It was his mother’s favorite flower. A smile graced his face as he wrote down the address. He called out to Fugo and Abbacchio, telling them where he was going. They let him go alone. It was something Narancia needed to do alone, with relative peace.
He set off, walking the ten minutes to the shop. It was small, yet looked well taken care of. The sign was hand-painted and there were displays of flowers in the window. He opened the door, a bell softly tingling, announcing his entrance. The man behind the counter looked up, squinting, before giving him a beaming smile.
“Hello, welcome to La Calendula! How may I help you?” the man asked, voice strong and warm. He looked familiar to Narancia. Something about the short black hair and blue eyes tickled at his memory. He let it go. He’s never been here before so it was probably a weird bout of déjà vu.
“Yes, I was wondering if you could help me pick out a bouquet for my mother’s grave? The flower shop I normally go to closed early for the day and I’ve been meaning to swing by to visit her,” To Narancia’s relief, the man didn’t give him a look of pity, just hummed and pondered for a second, nodding, and looking knowingly at Narancia. The look looked incredibly familiar. It almost reminded him of Trish when she was plotting.
“I think I have an idea as to what to do,” he said, before turning back and calling out to the backroom. “Mista! Bring out some sunflowers and peonies!” he paused for a second, before continuing. “Call Giorno and see if the larkspur and gladiola are ready!” He heard a familiar voice shout back in affirmation.
Narancia’s brain stopped. Huh. Now everything made sense. The man was Bruno, the siblings’ foster dad, and owned a flower shop. That why the siblings smelled like that and why they all held an affinity to flowers. The rose Mista gave him. Makes sense. He, however, wasn’t ready to see Mista walk out of the back looking incredibly adorable.
Mista carried a few containers of flowers, most likely the one’s Bruno called for. They were beautiful, a combination of colors but what was even more beautiful was the boy carrying them. His curls were freed from his everpresent hat, small flowers weaved into them, making them pop with color. His eyes were bright and happy, looking at peace amongst the flowers. He had a streak of dirt on his cheek, his freckles seemed to pop out more, most likely from him being in the sun. He was dressed simply in an oversized white shirt and with overalls on, the strap sliding off his shoulder.
Narancia was in love.
Mista then seemed to notice him, eyes widening and he stumbles, almost dropping the containers if not for Bruno stepping in. Narancia misses the knowing look and grin Bruno flashes Mista. Mista’s cheeks color, clearly embarrassed. Narancia wishes he could take a picture of how beautiful he looks.
“H-Hey, Nara! Didn’t know you were here!” Mista said, shooting a glare at Bruno, who responded with a smile, patting Mista’s shoulder.
“I’ll be out back if you need me!” Bruno said, winking. Mista groaned. “Behave yourself!”
The two stood next to each other, just staring not knowing what to do. Mista’s blush had quickly spread to the tips of his ears, and he stuttered out.
“Hey, how help can you? I mean, how you can help. Fuck.” he took a deep breath. “How can I help you?”
Narancia softly laughed. He gestured to the flowers Bruno left on the counter.
“Just these. I need an arrangement,” he said, enjoying the sight of a flustered Mista. It was really cute. Narancia wasn’t the brightest, but he definitely wasn’t blind to see Mista’s reaction was a result of infatuation. He felt light and airy, seeing that they had the same effect on each other. The other boy laughed as well, a little jittery, and nodded, going to the flowers. The two began chatting, talking about anything that popped into their mind, Narancia enraptured in watching as Mista efficiently started building the arrangement. He used burgundy, pink, and white, adding the yellow of the sunflowers to pop. It was beautiful, and from the soft smile pulling at the sides of full lips and the crinkle at the corner of his eyes as he stared at the flowers, Narancia knew he loved what he did here. And when Mista gave him the same look, eyes soft and shining, Narancia caved in.
Careful with the flower arrangement, he leaned forward, getting close to Mista. Violet looked into coal, and their lips met. It was a sweet kiss, soft and slow. Narancia could breathe Mista’s fresh scent, stronger than it ever was. It was comforting and sweet. Narancia felt like he could stay there, drinking in all of Mista for hours, and by how hard they were smile, teeth clinking against each other, it was mutual.
“Finally! About time!” The two were startled apart, Mista whipping around to see his whole family there. Trish had been the one to yell and was beaming, Giorno had a mischevious grin on his face, a camera in his hands. Bruno smiled at the two softly. Mista instantly went red, Narancia not far behind going by the haet he feels flooding his cheeks.
“Are you guys serious?! Get out!” he shouted in indignation and embarrassment. The three laughed at his expense, leaving the two alone, Giorno throwing a quick quip in Japanese at Mista that had the other yelling after him, the blond leaving with a giggle. Mista turned back, sheepishly.
“Sorry about that, you know how it is,” Narancia smiled, and gave him another soft kiss. Mista reciprocated happily.
“It’s okay,” Narancia breaks apart and presses their foreheads together, giving Mista a soft look, repeating something from what felt like yesterday.
“Water under the bridge.”
